Chuck E. Cheese

Chuck E. Cheese

Reviews Summary

Chuck E. Cheese receives mixed reviews, with many praising the updated games, timed play system, and ease of hosting birthday parties, while others criticize the loss of classic features like animatronics and ticket rewards. Food quality is inconsistent—some find the pizza good, others overpriced or mediocre. Staff attitudes vary, with some guests noting helpfulness and others encountering rudeness or disorganization. Customer Reviews

I love this Chuck E. Cheese location. I took my nanny kids when they were growing up, and now I take my kids. I use the prices to teach the kids about saving and spending. It's a fun environment and the gluten free pizza is delicious.

The girl who hosted our kids party was very attentive and helpful! We all had a great time and really enjoyed how clean everything was as well!

I hadn't been to see Charles since the 90's. However, his place is much brighter, cleaner, and more pleasant than I recall in the days of my youth. Everything is clean, the staff is friendly, and we got the summer pass which is a great value for our boys. The games here definitely skew a bit younger than a traditional arcade. The food is also quite expensive in my opinion. But overall definitely worth a visit!

Kids love the place, but I feel like the staff could be a little more friendly. We were there for a birthday party and it felt very rushed throughout the whole event. Kids had fun though and I did too. Also, I used to go as a kid so it's cool to see the kids have fun there too.

Brought 4 little ones for a birthday party. Unlimited 2 hours to play games, but they take 15-20 minutes to do all the Happy Birthday stuff. Also, the games only dish out a few tickets (below 10) on average, making the prize selection smaller in reality. Pizza isn't included in the party price, and the price of the pizza is absurd, nearly $50 for 2 relatively small single topping pizzas. Probably won't be back.

The food is good and most of the games work great while others are barely functional. The staff is really good. Some seem excited to work there. The pizza is pretty expensive but the flavor makes it worth while. My son really loves coming there.

An absolute 5 star experience. I was very impressed by the staff. Everyone was joyful, dancing and very engaged. Place was clean from the start. Restrooms were very clean and staff regularly cleaned all the equipment. Nathaniel at the ticket counter was great. Our kids had a blast!! Thank you for providing such a great experience!!

We had an exceptional experience! The venue is vibrant, clean, and offers a fantastic variety of games and activities for kids of all ages. They just added a bunch of new games and a jump house. The highlight of our visit was the exemplary service provided by the manager, Brandon. The entire staff was courteous and efficient, making our day unforgettable.

Just moved to the area, I love the lay out it's very smart and flows easily. My only issue is everytime we go we wait an obnoxious amount of time before anyone comes out to check you in.. also I've been there 3 times now and never been hand stamped, Maybe they just don't do that here I'm not sure. It also sucks to purchase jump tickets and no one else does i feel foolish for spending 12 bucks when everyone else just jumps for free. I will continue to pay though because otherwise I'm sending mixed messages

We just did our daughters 4th birthday there. It was a great experience. Kids had a blast. Service was good and everything was clean and prepared before we arrived. It made it super easy for us and allowed the kids to just play.

Pizza was good mostly due to being hungry. It was served very soon and it was cold by the time we were ready to eat. Servers/Employees appeared unhappy and not enthusiastic, just there doing a job and not connecting to the Adult Customers nor the Children.

Would not recommend for birthday parties! They made our baby girls day not special at all!!!party was at 530pm they didnt have our table set til 600pm...host wasn't hosting...none of their promises were held up in the online submission. I will have to say if it wasn't for the manager jumping on to it and doing his best and the awards counter lady I would have walked out and said I'm done. Everyone else didn't take the time to try. I didn't even know who my host was! It was not a good time at all!!! My husba

It was an outing for my 6 year old grandson and his friend. They had a great time. They also have an added attraction for the kids, Trampoline. The boys really enjoyed their time playing games, air hockey, basketball, lots of video games, and of course the TRAMPOLINE. We also had pizza, THAT was really good. They got to meet Chuck E. Cheese twice on this day !!!

When we "googled" it, the schedule said the first Sunday of the month is Autistic Sensory friendly with dimmed lights and music not as loud. Once inside we realized this was not-so for this day (3 birthday parties happening) or maybe this location doesn't participate. The pizza was good as usual. Our little ones really enjoyed the lighted dance floor. I will say this was the highlight & why we chose to stay. There also were only 2 handicap parking spots and neither of them were wheelchair lift accessible. W

Food was ok, games awesome but the staff... I didn't care tht young girl had earbuds it's whatever but damn have I never seen someone who just ruins a whole experience by their attitude. Like just trying to get the prizes u think we're asking her to walk through fire. Really shouldn't be working at Chucky cheese where children don't understand why your being rude. Actually shouldn't be working in customer service. Will definitely not be back not worth feeling incredibly uncomfortable.

Don't book your kids birthday party here. I asked if we could bring in outside food and was told twice that it would be okay, but when I got there one of the workers practically chased me down to throw out my Diet Coke that I had just brought in to throw away. Unprofessional, gave misinformation, and offered zero solutions. Late to give out game passes and didn't compensate for lost time. Absolutely not worth it

We went to a birthday party here earlier today and I was impressed by how fun & kind the staff were. The last time I was in a chuck e cheese, I had a different experience. Everyone seemed to work together well and go above & beyond to make sure all the kids had fun & were safe. The food I tasted was great (my kid didn't really give me time to eat lol but the bite I got was nice) I will be going back to this location to party with my babygirl for sure :)

Great staff/management, kid's love it, parties are affordable, and they have games for parents too. Not gonna lie, I busted out laughing when a parent yelled "Make it Rain" while the staff was throwing Chuck E. Bucks into the air. If you host a party there everyone in your party gets tokens, your kid gets a bunch of tokens and they also get to go in to the windtunnel of tickets and I believe they can pick 1 friend to go in too. Also, the pizza is actually good and has plenty of flavor, you can taste the It

Parking lot was gross. Thought the place was abandoned. No greeting when you walk in.. the girl behind the register just kind of looked at us while we tried to figure out what the packages were. Gave no help or assistance. I felt like Stevie wonder. Kids go to cash tickets, and she tells them how much they had and just walked away to ring another customer up.. "takes for ever to do it" .... my kids knew what they wanted . They came up to cash in and you took off. And made them wait..summer times coming .

I remember Chuck-E-Cheese when my children were younger. Now they are adults. We celebrated my granddaughter's birthday. Inside they have a big screen where you can watch shows and sing along. You can make reservations. They have long tables... enough sitting room. Perfect for young children...they have arcade games and a hostess for your party

Just visited this past weekend, was very clean, friendly & food was great. The 1 star was given only because I never knew they stopped stamping your hands to make sure the right ppl walked out with the right kids, especially with all these known cases of trafficking going on. I was SHOCKED!?? oh, I was also terribly dissatisfied by the erie looking Indian man standing guard by the trampoline, which was chain locked and had a charge of $12. That was strange since when things got charged separately?

Prices have gotten way out of control and the card to play games is ridiculous especially if u have more than one kid . But it does help if u get the monthly card special but I don't want to do that sometimes and just play by the day .

Chuckie Cheese has seriously upped their game. Both this location and Spartnaburg are great places to take your kids. They have games for toddlers to adults and they always work. They have an app that is actually useful, just scan your receipt after paying and get free stuff. The prices are fair, I added a photo that explains them all. You buy by the swipe or by the minutes, I'd suggest minute. You get more for your money and have a hard stop, "We have 30 minutes to play and then we are all done." I would a

My son enjoyed his 3rd birthday party last night at Chuck E. Cheese. The staff was very friendly and helpful. It made my job so easy with hosting the party. There really want much left for me to do. The helper did forget my goodie bags and my ice cream at the end and I had to remind her. Overall it was a great experience.

My husband and I took our son for his first Chuck E Cheese experience here. Can't go wrong with pizza & games! Though the show that's supposed to happen every hour did not happen, we still enjoyed ourselves overall.

Food is horrible. The cake tasted old and freezer burnt because it was frozen. Great place for the kids to play and have fun.

This was an incredible visit. There were great and kind employees who helped us with our purchases and prizes. All games were functional and very fun for both kids and adults. Food was high quality and not terribly overpriced. There were many coupons available making this a fun and affordable family outing. Thank you Chuck E. Cheese for this great experience (As always)! This is truly the best place for a kid to be a kid. We will be back very soon!

Look no one comes here only based on the food lol but I enjoy their pizza it is tasty. The birthday party I got here was well done. Well worth watching the children n grow ones the same enjoying n playing. 2 hours of limitless gaming, food, drink, singing, n all was very spot on. My granddaughter look up at me n said "look I'm a princess (wearing the tierra provided) which was cute ?? so I definitely say worth the buy. Thank you all for the great time

Rude and unattentive staff that was more worried about watching thier phone than watching the kids in the jump zone. Tried to overcharge for the party saying we left the area a mess when we was the ONLY party in the house that cleaned our area.

Food is average. Staff was friendly. I miss the animatronics show they used to have. Now it feels more empty. Still had a pretty good time.

My son attended a birthday party at Chuck E. Cheese this past weekend, and he had a blast. It was crazy crowded with kiddos in the 3-6 age group, which wasn't exactly my scene but my four-year-old was in heaven. There were a couple games out of order, and the slinky my son wanted was way more tickets than his little self was able to get, but overall, I'm really impressed with location.

Don't book a kids birthday party here. The staff has no idea what's going on. Waste of money.

The kids loved it and the food was really good.

It's been YEARS since we've been there. Our Baby is 22...so yeah. But our Young Prince really enjoyed his Day. However, I would recommend that the hostess staff that's attending the table be more attentive to serving that table. But, great place for our Young Prince to Celebrate his 3 year old celebration, the adults were jealous, Lol??

My three year old had begged us to take her to Chucky Cheese for quite a while. Their pizza was good. The kids lived the games. I haven't been to Chucky Cheese in over 20 years. We didn't know how to work the card kiosk. The employees were not too helpful with working it.

Hail to the king of cheeses, baby! What happened to the animatronic jam bands of yore? Bring back the Fuzzy purple banjo monster. Make America Cheesy Again!

We had a great experience! The young lady that was helping with our granddaughters party was sweet and prompt. All the kids loved it! Downside is that separately ordered meals/pizzas took forever to come out. Still giving 5 stars overall because the birthday party portion was awesome and Chuck E. Cheese was great with the kids!

Is exactly what you would expect, from a Chuck-E-Cheese. It's very loud and chaotic, so if you're sensitive to that, there are ample places to go, but betting that you have little ones, there's no place better for chaos. Grab a slice, get a card with a timed play versus the points system. Worth it. I like the addition of the trampoline, just know that it's $10 and I hope your kids want to use it for more than 5 minutes. Overall, a great Chuck-E-Cheese, but personally I miss the robots...

Such a wonderful experience for the birthday package. I had lot of fun

They just remodelled. Took down the stage and put in a pressure sensitive lighted dance floor. Very nice

Still fun. Games at geared for larger age group than they used to be. Not for just toddlers.

Customer service was ok. The games all worked great!

Good pricing for a birthday party! Under 200 dollars for 6 kids once food was purchased.

Chuck E. Cheese made throwing a birthday party quite easy. Highly recommended.

Enjoyed our time. Been remodeled since I was there last. I thought it was much improved!

My granddaughter and I were the only customers. We ordered a medium pizza, churro?s, and 2 drinks. With a hour play, my total was $62.00. 30 minutes later, no food. I questioned the staff of 3 ladies. Shrugged shoulders because no one thought it was her responsibility to cook our food. Never apologized. One asked, ?You want your money back??. I have raised 3 children at this store. Never, has anything like this happened. It was so upsetting, that I will never go back.

I love the new time system they have. Bought 30 mins for both of my girls. They got to play anything they wanted without me following them with coins (or worried they'll lose them). And, their bracelets expired when it was time to go so I didn't have to constantly check my watch.

I love this place! It's clean, even the restrooms. The food is actually great, including the selection. The ladies who work here are kind and good with the kids. 'Chuck' is patient with the little ones and generously gives out 'ticket splashes' as well as posing for pics with the kiddos. The prizes are attainable via tickets (and 1? = 1 ticket if your prince or princess had their little heart set on something... This can make the prize expensive, though there are usually coupons for tickets plus play pass p

The food was good, staff seemed disorganized, 3 minutes before 6 parties were supposed to start and one poor employee was trying to get the tables set up and even walkied for help. The atmosphere was pure chaos with too many people to be able to move around comfortably and last, the speakers are set at deafening levels. I hate to leave such a negative review for a place that used to be fun, regardless of your age.

Were from Savannah GA up her for the Shriners hospital my family stopped here we enjoyed the place only complaint is one of the machines had a few tokens jammed in the slot, a gentleman by the name of Malik made sure that our experience was still fun and exciting.

Prices are SKY HIGH! For one pizza and one cheese bread, one hour of game play for one child and some fountain drink cups, the price came to over 100 dollars. This was much lower of a price than reserving a birthday party table that we did the year before, which was over 250 with a cake that was very small and frankly poorly made and awful. The kids love this place and that's what makes it special but it gets harder and harder to justify spending so much money on it. Also, if you get a picture from any of t

Absolutely had a blast with the kiddos. Recommend again and again

Some of the workers should not be working there they are not helpful. Older blonde haired woman helped me and she had an attitude when I asked her to explain the specials since it was our first time there. She then lied about the ticket system and just gave us what she wanted. My kids are 3 and 1 so they had fun but they need reevaluate the ppl they have there working the register. We may have to try a new location next time..

So i think possibly Chuckee Cheese needs to revisit their business model. Salad bar $11.99, beer $7.95 for a draft. Pizza was surprisingly good and reasonably priced. We were there with our 2 nieces and sister and law and with one pizza, 5 soft drinks, one beer, 19 tokens , was $75. We were there in the middle of lunch and there was only 2 other families. Probably will not return.

I went for a birthday party, games were pretty good. Music was way too loud, and the birthday show for the kids was pretty lame. The prizes you get for the tickets are not very good. Frankie?s is far better in the way of games, prizes, atmosphere, and food.

Doesn't accommodate people with allergies & told me my two year old cannot eat his chicken nuggets bc policy is no outside food. I understand the policy, but when I asked for an allergy menu, they told me they didn't have one. I asked what he's supposed to eat and they said it wasn't their problem. The manager is such an idiot who doesn't understand how allergies work stating "what's in the bag, nuggets? We got nuggets." What is in the nuggets lady? You have no idea. I know what's in these nuggets. She act

A great place to host a kids brithday party. They have really updated the games and have gotten rid of the clunky old coin system.

Great place for kids/toddlers ages 2-8 Really needs more space and more games .Asap overall we have fun every time we go .

Nothing like it used to be.....prices seem a bit steep for the amount of time you get to play, especially if you have more than one child. Also, not much for a smaller child to do in here like they used to have. Its more for older children now

I have always been coming here since I moved from up north and I tell you this place has grown a lot within the years I'm so happy to see an establishment grow. Great Job Guys keep up the good work!!

A very poorly run location that runs 7 bday parties simultaneously every 2 hours. Very dirty and workers appear miserable.

The last time I went to Chuck Entertainment Cheese was probably 1999, but that was such a better experience than this week. The twenty first century hit this franchise in all the worst ways. Not a single thing for kids to do other than video games. This is an arcade. The unlimited play option was great. This is the only thing keeping my review two stars. The pizza was just under Little Caesars quality, but much more expensive. It was fine (I rank LC highly), but again, not what it used to be. They repla

Not our favorite location. We live between Asheville and Greenville so we visit places in both. Have been to Asheville location many times and love it. While Greenville has been more recently renovated, it has way less games and is harder to earn tickets? The games are very low ticket games. My daughter earns 2-3 times more each trip to other location. I was also confused as it said trampoline park now open but I didn't see one? We only had icecream so I can't rate the food. Dave and Busters and Sparetime a

My daughter had a ton of fun here. One game stopped working and staff quickly corrected the game. It was also nice to see that they have staff members go around and check each game to make sure they are functioning.

Love this place has games for the Littles and it doesn't break the bank plus you get unlimited on the salad bar witch is awesome for both adults and kids, and it's all healthy too so it's even better. Thank you Chuck e. Cheese for not changing much over the years . I remember going to Chuck E. Cheese as a kid and now I get to bring my kids, it's awesome!

Awesome customer service. They keep up with cleansing the entire place, even the restrooms are clean. Kids had tons of fun.

It was a horrible experience. My son just turned 1 and I took him there to celebrate his b day. They have no activities anymore for the itty bitty babies and they are very rude. They are expensive for nothing and dude in Chucky mouse outfit didn't even take a pic with my baby, I will not ever go back. It is definitely not worth it like it was over 10 years ago. They definitely need to CLOSE BUSINESS FOR GOOD THIS TIME!!!!

The attitude and the customer service of the employee that attended us was honestly disgusting. I went with my niece to cash in tickets that she had won and my 3 YEAR OLD niece touched the glass and the employee said annoyed, ?oh don't touch that, I just cleaned that?. That glass was not clean at all and if that's her definition of clean she needs to reevaluate a few things. How are you going to 1. Work at a KIDS amusement park and have that attitude 2. Talk to any child like that, especially a toddler. Hon

As we drove in, the exterior of the building was so clean. The inside was the same. The only thing my family hated was that they removed the animated show for a dance floor. We literally had no entertainment while dining. The animated show provided lots of entertainment. That's what people come to Chuck E. Cheese for. Showbiz was 10 times better. Other wise me and my family had a great overall experience.

Service was really great! The attendant at the counter was helpful and even gave us the rundown on what to do, even though my daughter and I go on the regular. There were quite a few games that didn't work, even the car that takes the picture with Chuck E. was out of commission. I hope they fix it before we go back and place the sign in the area where the cards are swiped.

workers are HIGHLY under paid ! shame on this company smh

Went for a 4 year olds birthday party. Nice atmosphere, they got to interact with Chuck and take pictures. There were 2 other birthday parties and the place wasn't crowded at all. Had a nice time

My kiddos went to friend?s birthday party. Pizza is okay. Staff is not excited to be there despite the festive atmosphere. A place for kiddos to have fun and adults to hang out for the kiddos.

We took our 2 grandsons n they had a blast . Great family place loved it all

I tried calling since 8:20 but No answer and walked in was not greeted, this older woman said they were closed, No kind of business like. Everyone looked mad and been coming here for 20 hrs.

Took my great grandson there. It's been a while since my grandkids were little and it has definitely changed. The pizza is pretty good and the salad bar was very good. The prices have really gone up but I figured my family was worth it. 6 people, 60 points = almost $100.

We had our daughter's party here for the second time and it wasn't as pleasant as before. None of the staff was on time and the party didn't start until after 3pm. They were short staffed I guess but my guest had arrived and the birthday table wasn't even prepared. Felt rushed but overall the manager on staff understood my frustration and tried to fix what she could.

They made my daughters' birthday very special and I couldn't be more pleased with how it turned out. The food has improved dramatically since my husband & I were kids, the games were all top-notch, and the staff were super in every way. We had a great time & look forward to coming back

Good place for parties of younger kids maybe 3-9 years old. Security for children to leave is great. Tokens are expensive and rewards are cheaply ones. But overall if you want 5 minutes of freedom let them play. You can relax and breathe.

Had a great time celebrating our son's 3rd birthday staff was friendly and helpful special shout-out to Maria for helping with our party

This is our favorite location, always clean, and staff is very friendly and helpful. The pizza has gotten better over time I say the changes that have been recently made are a great improvement.

We came here years ago when it was so much better. Half of the sodas were either out or their lever was broken. They don't give tickets at their games and that was something my grandchildren loved. The characters only come out for birthday parties and there were no other characters showing up. Years back they would have several of the characters walking around and interacting with the kids. They didn't even have the fake stage set up with the robots that would play every 15 minutes. The place was also dirt

Dirty, loud, slow service. Obviously it's going to be loud.. it's a kids play area. During our visit there were kids jumping on the machines, running around at full speed hitting other kids and taking other kids games. I feel like these parents just drop their kids off and left them alone to destroy the store. There weren't any workers around to ask questions either. This was my first.. and last visit to chuck e. cheese in the last 15 years. do yourself a favor and go somewhere else.

The food was better than I expected and the bathroom was cleaner than I expected. It's an establishment built around kids so keeping it truly clean must be near impossible. I was impressed with the security measures as well. A few of the games were malfunctioning but all in all seemed well kept. My only real complaint was that it was boiling hot but with that many little bodies and summer in the south, what else could one expect. My 3 yr old loved it. We will go back.

Horribly terrible visit. The WORST customer service! Chuck E Cheese never even came out! Manager could have cared less! Even reached out to corporate and they could care either. How are people rating this place over 2 stars? Ticket payout SUPER LOW and prize values high to top it all off. AND no beer! Was told ?it is t working? there are companies that can come out SAME DAY to fix that!

It's always nice and clean when we go. The staff are super helpful. There are plenty of games for every kid. We like the new layout of the place with the dance floor that lights up. It just need one more trash can area.

This review is solely for the angry man who yelled at me because my kids went inside the new trampoline activity, make it more clear it's an extra charge, don't just assume people know that.

Great family environment and atmosphere. Wonderful place to have a birthday party. However, point and payment system is very confusing and a ripoff IMO. You purchase time, not tokens anymore and if you take a break and don't pause, you lose your time. Not to mention the lack of tickets won per game play makes it impossible to win a decent prize. 30 tickets for a 5 cent tootsie roll is absolutely ridiculous . I personally won't return.

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s it like visiting an arcade today?

It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.

Is it better to go alone or with friends?

Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.

What should I bring to an arcade?

Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.

What’s the best time to visit an arcade?

Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.

Can I meet new people at arcades?

Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.

Are arcades still just for kids?

Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.

Are there events or tournaments I can join?

Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.

What if I’m not great at arcade games?

No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”

Why are arcade prize games so exciting to play?

Arcade prize games are a thrilling highlight in 2025! Claw machines, skee-ball, and ticket-redemption games like basketball offer a rush of skill and chance, with rewards like plushies, toys, or electronics up for grabs. Modern machines feature vibrant lights, digital scoreboards, and responsive controls, amplifying the fun. The lively arcade atmosphere, with cheering crowds and buzzing energy, makes every win feel epic.
