Chuck E. Cheese

Chuck E. Cheese

Reviews Summary

Chuck E. Cheese receives mixed reviews, with many praising its fun atmosphere for kids, friendly staff, and improved cleanliness. However, common complaints include high prices, mediocre food quality, broken prizes, and inconsistent service. Some locations suffer from poor maintenance, loud music, and overcrowding, while others excel in customer service and security measures. Families enjoy the games and parties, but frequent issues with cleanliness, rude staff, and overpriced offerings detract from the experience. Overall, it's a decent option for kids' entertainment but has notable room for improvement.

Customer Reviews

We often come to this place to play. We decided to celebrate the girls' birthday and we loved it. Excellent service, the staff is very attentive and friendly, especially Carrie. All the children had a great time. A very good decision and convenient for the parents.

This is the best Chuck E. Cheese i have very been to. While on a visit from the Inland Empire, I came here with my 4 kids and it was entertaining for all of them from 15 years old to 21 months old. The food was good. The service was better than anything I experienced in San Bernardino. There were plenty of games for my 21 month year old. The jumping zone is kind of pricey though $18 for the slip resistant socks. One attendant told me I could use socks I had from a previous purchase but then another told me

The new remodel is great!! My daughter loves the new play zone.

The have affordable party packages and the customer service was great. The manager was super helpful.

This place was awesome, my kid loved it. Only negative thing I can say is that it was way too hot and humid. I think they need a better ac system or something.

My nieces love coming here and they always have fun. Its hard to win a lot of tickets, but the rewards the app gives are great, cause i get 1000 tickets, gifts, or free play. Chuck E is super sweet and always goes around saying hi and giving hugs to the kids. We went on a rainy day and it was super packed. Definitely a nice place for small kids to have fun. Food is good too.

I have no complaints for this place except for the pizzas on certain occasions. Staffs need to be a bit more upbeat. Kids love it though!

Perfect for a non stressful birthday party. It is more expensive to have a birthday party at home then at chuckee cheeses. All the kids had fun our server was wonderful and all we had to bring was the people and cake. Definately will plan more birthday parties here. Wish they had a chuckee cheese closer to us and didnt have to travel and hour.

Just brought my 4 year old in for her birthday with her 2.5 year old brother and she had an absolutely wonderful time. It's very well staffed, the friendliest customer service I've encountered at any establishment ever, and the entire place is very clean. We had a minor issue with a food item which was immediately and politely resolved by a helpful, energetic, and friendly manager (I'm assuming). I would highly recommend this particular location of this chain.

Yikes!!! Less than A week later 7 of 9 visitors for kiddie birthday got sick from flu/ cold. At least wear a mask for your own well being.

Friendly service, good food, lots of space for a party! My son really enjoyed his birthday party! Also a great place for a school fundraiser!

I've been taking my children to this Chuck E Cheese since before COVID when they closed for some time. I have three main complaints and I'm experiencing this with each visit. First, the trampoline area consumes so much floor space and because of the extra charge, really isn't being using. It forces all of the games against the wall to be shoved together. Second, more and more of the fun games are leaving and being replaced by games of chance that aren't fun and give few tickets. They often have great games

Leaving a 1 star because we brought our kids to Chuck E. Cheese for starting school again and we haven't been since they didn't have the jump zone. I wanted to order a beer and I couldn't because my ID was expired (which is totally fine, not complaining about that) the lady who was helping us at the cash register looked at my ID then my face and I don't know if she thought I was someone else or someone she knew but I got the most attitude from her after. We didnt know you had to pay for the slip socks, our

Love taking my daughter and son. One time I took them 30 min before closing. So they can let their energy out. The guy that greeted had the audacity to mention that they closing in 30 min. Like if I didn't know. Hire people who understand having kids.

Please listen when people say not to take your little to Chuck E Cheese. It's a breeding ground for RSV/ Covid. We took the kids to boomers last year, the whole family got Covid and this time now at Chuck E Cheese, RSV for all of us again?. Besides getting sick, it is overly expensive now. We spent almost 200 on food and time to play games just to go home with a thin bracelet that is already gone and a clapping hands toy that broke the moment we were home it's ridiculous. You're more likely to spend less an

Visited on Leap Day and was floored by the level of customer service provided by a gentleman named Rancel. He acknowledged us at the door, answered all of my questions about coupons, and was kind every time we interacted. In the past, the service was lacking so I appreciate the change. Even the chef and the worker at the Trampoline entrance were friendly. Coupons were a great deal and it feels safe to let my kids run around in there. Pizza was also better than I remember. Would return.

$700 for a 2hr Birthday Party for our 7yo. Insane prices, overcrowded, chaos. Kids of all ages hog games and do not take turns with those waiting in line when their game is over

I hadn't been to a Chuck E Cheese for many years and I was dreading having to go, but my granddaughter's 9th birthday party there was wonderful. The facility has been updated nicely, the games were great, the staff was friendly and helpful, and every single kid of the 13 in attendance, had an amazing time. Great job, Chuck E.!

My sons 4th birthday is what we were celebrating and our host Julia was honestly amazing! Was very attentive to our party and kept everything moving smooth! Could not have asked for better service! Very friendly and kind employee's! This was the second time we've had his party here. Price and everything you get, by far the best! Very greatful! Will definitely be back for more birthdays. We come pretty regularly too because of how great the employee's and service is! ??. Thank you again!

I came in with low expectations and was really surprised at what an awesome experience there is to be had here. It was clean and quiet even though it was fairly busy. The staff was patient, friendly, and great with the kids. The pizza was pretty good and bigger than I expected. There were games for all ages and the credits for them went a long ways. You can combine tickets and cash for prizes if needed. Chuck E. came out and went all around to see all the kids twice while we were there.

Fun place to go with your kids and grandkids. The ratio of coins for dollars is 3 to 1...they could give out more tickets when playing games to trade in at the ticket counter. No stuffed animals for tickets. ..

My family and I visited the Santa Maria Chuck E. Cheese sometime in late January. We walked in and we were greeted by this bright young lady ready and happy to help us. We went in on a Friday evening and busy is an understatement lol. The same young girl helped us at the register and even with a line of people she still made sure to ask how we are, ask about our day, she even asked the kids if they were excited to play games and they were beaming with excitement. My youngest son had a whole conversation abo

Had my son 1st birthday party there and the staff exceeded my expectations. Food was good and came out in a timely manner. Jessica, Julia and Matthew were all amazing party host and very attentive. My experience was 10/10.

It's your standard Chuck E Cheese. Not too bad not too good. All my children are grown now so I only have to come here for coworkers kids parties thankfully. Lol the food has deff gotten better over the last 5 yrs or so. It used to be horrible. This one is clean as a room full of kids can be. Plus the security measures when you bring in kids are a great touch so no one runs off with your child.

Went in last night the grandson had a blast. We ordered pizza and wings took almost an hour. The manager looked over worked and a little rude. The young gals behind the counter were super sweet. I Didn't see them wipe down much nor sanitize anything nor did I see hand sanitizer at the door. Well as soon as we left 2 out of 3 of us ended up with a stomachache and let's just say didn't get much sleep last night because of it. To be fair I'll try again not any time soon. My stomach still hurts...but we'll see

I went in to a birthday party at Chuck E. Cheese with pretty low expectations. What I got was a pretty good experience! They offer gluten free pizza! The restaurant was clean and the pizza was actually good. It was a little expensive for things like salad and the choices were limited but the kids had fun and were treated really well by the staff. Shout out to the staff for being very good to the children!

The kids love it. The staff is very professional and friendly

This place cares about the customers, a person kept walking around cleaning tables and keeping the place clean, the staff was really nice and they had a lot of games and rides to play. I definitely recommend this place the food is very affordable and tastes really good. The mouse came out a few times to greet the kids . We had a blast, definitely recommend this place.

Perfect spot for birthday. Kids enjoyed 2 hours of unlimited play. Our host was very attentive.

We had a birthday party for a 4 year old. The hostess was amazing. We spent hours there the kids had tons of fun.

This place is still a great place for kids, adults not so much. The pizza is gross, it is generic and taste like frozen pizza warmed in a oven. The salad bar is not bad. They have a beer policy of 1 per hour and 2 for the entire visit. I really like the play all you want time card model that they have it isn't bad. There was a smell of we dog when I entered which was weird.

Where a KID can be a KID???? Best service, My son was the only child there and they still had chuck come out just for him.He loved having all the attention from ??chuck

Rude staff especially manager and cashier's. Dirty establishment. Not worth it. Never again!

My mom and I just happened on this place while shopping. I didnt want to eat there, but I was surprised. It was a really good pizza! I had pineapple and pepperoni and it tasted great. There was a problem with the chicken wing, they made the wrong kind.... It happens but when I got the right ones oh man, they were awesome. Staff was really courteous and kind. Definitely a great place to take younger kids. Plenty of video games and other games so the kids can earn tickets and buy stuff. Overall for not want

Yesterday , I had a really bad experience with a young girl working there. We were at the price counter at 9:00 pm and the employee saw us there and didn't come help us. Instead, she ignored us and approached us at 9:04 stating that the policy was that after nine she couldn't cash out our prices. This was very unfortunate as I had my 3 year old waiting for her price. She then proceeded to yell and pick a fight with me . Honestly if I could rate my experience a 0 I would . ??

I was very impressed with Chuck E. Cheese these days and the pizza and ranch dressing is amazing! I can't believe how good everything is! The people who work there are great with kids and seem to really have fun too!

Such a good place to take your kids! You don't have to worry about them taking off on you because of the kid check. They have good deals so you can get food drinks and points to play. They also have a timed play card so you can play as many games as you want during that time and you can pause it too.

Holly cow this place is such a money pit $21 for gaming not 20 make you buy that extra dollar then if you spend 2 more dollars you get one free for how many games was it not worth it to me for the little one yes it was but 100 dollars on pizza and socks for 10 dollars so he could go in the jump house thing Holly cow I'll save my money next time and take him to Camelot up the street a little bit

Cyrus, Paris and everyone working on 10-2-22 for the evening shift went above and beyond! Just a great group of individuals who truly care about families having a good time. We came for an hour 8-9 pm and left feeling with our hearts full. Can I just add the Halloween decor is fantastic. I've been coming for years and this is the 1st time I left blown away. Thank you from the Sholars and Ortiz families ??

Pizza was good but a bit too greasy. (stuff cheese crust) Maybe white garlic/ parmesan pizza sauce would be great to be added on the menu, not only red sauce. Salad bar could use more of a variety of dressings and more fruits. The greens were very good!! There is not an attendant by the door when we were leaving to make sure we had our kids and not another child. Hand sanitizers could be placed more around in the building. Especially by the games, entrance and garbage areas. Over all a great place to t

The atmosphere is fun and the games are abundant especially if you get it where you can purchase an armband and have an hour's worth of unlimited games. The food was surprisingly good, better than I remembered from years ago. The staff was a bit stiff at the ticket prizes counter. They had items in the display case that were in abundance but the person stated that they couldn't take one from there they had to come from behind the counter. Why have them in display just to torture the kids? This happened at l

This is such a fun place to bring my grand daughter. There is a salad bar and of course pizza. More games then anywhere else here in town. The staff is always very friendly, but always running to keep up with all the demands. There are usually waiting lines, bit all on all the children and adults are having fun??

Josh and the staff are amazing! It gets very busy and loud but they are always smiling and very attentive! We frequent quite often and just had my son's birthday party again for the second year in a row. Thank you Josh and the staff again for always taking such great care! Shelley McKinney

It's decent. I have been to better ones but this is the only option for the area. We have had several parties here. The first one was pretty awful but the GM and I had a good discussion. I have been back since then for a few more parties and things have gotten a lot better. I would say over all it is worth coming and my kids had a blast.

Definitely a fun place for a kid. My son and I went near Valentine's Day they were having a deal on pizza and drinks. I also had a coupon for $20 for 100 tokens, and let me tell you, for spending a little over 50$ just for the two of us, I think he had a blast for his first time. My little guy got near to 1000 tickets and he got a few little prizes. So overall games were fun, prizes could be better for the value, and the pizza was not bad. But my boy had a great time, can't put a price on that (all the time

Though understaffed when we went (on Tuesday), both the cleanliness & staff were better than usual! Besides one girl who looked miserable the whole time, the rest of the Tuesday night staff (& manager) were great. Only problem was how long it took to fix games.. I waited about 10 minutes for one & finally left to another game (which broke down as well) so then there was another 10 minute wait where I got him to check both, the one I waited at prior, & the new one. The wait was understandable due to being un

My recent visit was unsatisfactory. The prices were outrageous for what they were offering. Looked on the website to see if there were any coupons and nothing. The food tasted like cardboard. What topped it off was after my son got the prizes he pick one of the items the one he was the most excited about ended up to be broken once we opened it which broke my son's heart.

I recently went to Chuck E Cheese for my daughter's birthday party. Table set up was delayed a lot. I booked the birthday party at 12:30 pm. However, the actual table set up was done at 1:30 pm. I can't understand why they were so delayed. There was only two birthday part teams. The store should not be too busy When I arrived at the store, I ordered pizza, sampler, coffee, and drinks for parents of the children. All foods were served pretty late with the weird order. For example, 1 pizza was served 30 min

Went on 9/21/22' in the afternoon. The front and back of the staff were so dang nice. Amazing customer service. The facility was really clean. Even tho it was a slo night Chuck e still came out for a couple of appearances.

This is a Great place to visit with the kids to just pass some time while out on errands or to just make it a trip. Good quality food in there pizzas n salad bar. Alcoholic beverages sold aswell 21+. They have a toddlers section in there arcade area an a great selection of Gameing for the older ones. Reservation areas for birthday parties are available with great service provided. The restrooms are kept very clean. The one thing i love most is the security and protection of children in individual familys i l

I was kind of skeptical having a party here. We decided to do it anyway and we really got alot of fun for the price we payed. It was a great value and our guests had alot of fun. The hostess kept us on time and really made the party stress free. Will have another party here again. Too bad birthdays are only once a year!

Terrible service. Only one worker on the floor on an extremely busy day and he was walking around playing the games himself. As we waited 10 minutes for the cashier to figure out how to ring out a medium pizza and a beer, the manager came out of the back to help her with a mouth full of food. So embarrassing. I recommend starting over with a completely new staff????

Great place to take kids but eat dinner beforehand! Salad bar is above average and super fresh. The handstamp routine to deter kidnapping is a total joke. I could think of a better method in about 5 seconds. On several occasions while entering, I've encountered a toddler wandering out the front door alone. It would help if the tables were situated around the front door--which they are not. Fun place. We go often, but stranger-danger is better at any McDonald's playground.

Great place to take your kid to run off energy or celebrate a birthday. The pizza was surprisingly good and I love the security stop at the door and the option for unlimited games for a set time frame.

Came here for my sons 2nd birthday today. Not alot of people which was a good thing. But we had very nice and good customer service. All the people were really nice to is and attentive. But one that stuck out was a guy name Francisco. He was very patient with us ordering our food and waiting for my coupons to load on my phone. Even telling me of other deals so that it wouldn't come out so pricey. He also went out of his way to find us candles and lighter so we can sing Happy birthday to our son. Very sweet

The pizza isn't worth the price. The games are expensive and the payout in tickets is minimal. Example for 60 tickets a child can get a small tootsie roll candy. If this is supposed to be a place for younger children to enjoy then they should have play area for them.

As far as chuck e cheese go, it's a nice well kept place. Went there for a birthday party and was surprised at the several options they had. Only complaint is where Chuck E lead them for the dance was the front of the store which made it awkward for those coming in and going. Other wise great experience.

We went on a weekday around 10 am. We were the only ones there. After I bought a play pass they turned up the music so loud my kids couldn't hear me talking to them. I asked an employee to turn it down and he unapologetically said there was nothing he could do about it. Several toddler rides didn't work. Not much for 3-6 year olds to do.

Extremely busy, no problem, but it seemed like there were staff running around doing nothing. No acknowledgement that you were waiting, at first we stood in line to get a pass, no one at the registers, then one girl stood there kinda playing with the salad, (are you gonna refill it or play with it? ) several machines not working, no ice in the drink machine. I let him play for awhile, but went and got pizza somewhere else cuz the line was really long again.

ITS OK. ,, BUT NOTHING LIKE BIG CITY,, TO SMALL ,, NOT ENOUGH GAMES TO PLAY,, BUT , NOT BAD EITHER ,,

Hard to beat a place that always has coupons, beer, decent enough food, and every game is 1 token keeping the kids entertained for hours. We've been having our kids b day parties there for years and they keep wanting to go back.

I really liked this place, when my kid was very young. I really hope they dont close it down since its practically dead and the prices for the food are really expensive, they should have more reseanable prices, maybe that will raise the amount of parents staying longer and or come more often with there kids. Heck if they had lower prices id take my nephew's and have a nice salad while they wear themselves out for nap time??

Chuck E. Cheese has changed alot recently and it comes at a cost. No longer can a child or parent walk in with the few dollars they have to spend on magical game playing tokens. One must purchase a card, the least expensive being $11 for 30 minutes of play which is monitored. I felt like I had to rush my special needs son when there should never be pressure while one is supposed to be having Fun. Total downer

Was way too hot!! Took 20 min to place a order wouldn't accept our coupon. 11$ for a salad bar with a poor choices

We came to checkout it out for a birthday party but if they only perform when extra is paid we won't take part.. I had to ask if Chuck was going to come out or not after his qued song played and ended and then they also let my son out with another group of people just testing the "security" so that was a fail. Not worth the money

Staff was short and not helpful at all. Had issues with tickets being stolen by the "ticket muncher", staff being unwilling to request keys to restock prizes (they were out of everything behind the counter), and unsupervised children. On top of all this the pizza was awful.

I'd say this place need new management. To order food takes 30 to 45 mins to actually get your food which is a simple pizza take an 1hr 30 mins plus salad bar is for the most part empty. Soda is warm had to add lots of ice. Associates lack work ethic. This is not the only day it's like this.

DO NOT GO HERE Only giving it a 1 because 0 isn't an option. I took my two daughters here for a birthday party and ordered individual pizzas, but what an adventure was I in for! An hour into the party we STILL hadn't received our food. The party hostess, a rude blonde haired girl, wasn't much help either. I demanded to speak with the manager but the girl quite simply stated that the food was "probably just sitting back there." When I was fed up (and not fed at all) I finally went up to the front to demand m

Very different from the the old days, but also very secure. Saw a child set off back alarm and the staff response was amazing to see, there is not gonna be any problems at this location with worries as your child runs free. Keep up the good work guys.

I give 3 stars, i feel i wasnt 5 star impressed. There was alot going on during my party that i wasnt satisfied with, however i blame whoever trained the young people that work at Chuck E. Cheese. If they had proper training the mistakes made wouldnt have been made.

A little over $60 bought one pepperoni pizza, two small sodas, two apple juice boxes, one plastic reusable Chucky cheese cup, one order of mozerella sticks, 2 bags of cotton candy, and 1 hour of game time. Prizes were for 264 tickets: two tiny laffy Taffy candies, 1 tiny plastic jumpy frog. This place has really gotten super cheap with the small prizes. Food has gotten better and they serve Beer and Wine but if you go in before noon a worker might tell you "it's to early" in her opinion. $25 at the Slice i

A nice way to burn some energy with our kids. They loved the whole experience (their first time at a CC). The place was clean enough and the staff were helpful.

It's a miracle people even come. A family member decided to have her birthday here and we had a bad experience. Instead of using the money to reserve, buy small over priced pizza, use the money for something better.

My daughter loves this place we go all the time

The pizza was actually really tasty. They now add a buttery garlic sauce on the crust. They have a military deal so that was nice. Lots of cool stuff for the kiddos to do. Entertainment for hours.

Not very clean, staff is not very warm or friendly. No one seems to be in charge. The counters weren't manned often and when folks were ready to cash on their tickets, no one came for nearly ten minutes.

Don't bring your cat. There is a giant mouse running around!!!

I like this place a lot. I love eating the salad and the pizza is really good. My kids love coming here to play all the games.

It a fun place to go with children i recomend to get minutes instead of points on your card because minutes lasted way longer so you can get more tickets

Did not try food yet. It is not like, when I was a kid. Plus expensive it is good for kids they love it.

It was pretty quiet the day we went wich aas a Friday food was fast and fresh staff was friendly but just took a minute on taking our order since the same person was working the toy area

Visit one day ago and to my surprise santa maria location is been remodeling the bday celebration area....is very nice....good job!

This/is my worse restraunt experience ever.We planned a childrens birthday party ,the kids games were okay, but the adult side was awful. We ordered extra food which took well over an hour to get,one of the orders was wrong and taken back to make it right, this order came to us just as we were leaving,we were there almost 3 hours. The pizzas were terrible,I was sick the next day and a couple other people who attended said there stomachs hurt the next day. Also when Chucky Cheese came out you could tell he could

I celebrated my son's 6th birthday and it turned out great. The place was clean, staff was great and service was great.

Great family experience. Feels really clean as opposed to what I remember as a kid growing up. All games are 25 cents!

The pizza tastes weird 5 of the machines did not give tickets it had tickets but it would give them every once in a while and people were hogging the same game for hours a person on the staff looked miserable and there are not many games

Fun Fun Fun! My grandson and I love this place...he loves the pizza (me-??) but everyone is most helpful and attentive

We went and on this day the power went out but the manager was kind enough to give us a coupon for a pizza and some coins! Very nice and friendly!

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s it like visiting an arcade today?

It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.

Is it better to go alone or with friends?

Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.

What should I bring to an arcade?

Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.

What’s the best time to visit an arcade?

Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.

Can I meet new people at arcades?

Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.

Are arcades still just for kids?

Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.

Are there events or tournaments I can join?

Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.

What if I’m not great at arcade games?

No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”

Why are arcade prize games so exciting to play?

Arcade prize games are a thrilling highlight in 2025! Claw machines, skee-ball, and ticket-redemption games like basketball offer a rush of skill and chance, with rewards like plushies, toys, or electronics up for grabs. Modern machines feature vibrant lights, digital scoreboards, and responsive controls, amplifying the fun. The lively arcade atmosphere, with cheering crowds and buzzing energy, makes every win feel epic.
