Chuck E. Cheese

Chuck E. Cheese

Reviews Summary

Chuck E. Cheese receives mixed reviews, with many praising clean facilities, fun activities, and friendly staff, especially during well-organized birthday parties. However, frequent complaints highlight poor customer service, long wait times for food, disorganized parties, and occasional hygiene issues like moldy cake or ant infestations. Pricing is often criticized as high for portion sizes. While some locations excel in hospitality, others suffer from rude employees and understaffing, leading to frustration. Positive experiences often depend on specific staff members' attentiveness, while negative ones stem from mismanagement and inconsistency.

Customer Reviews

The atmosphere and service were excellent, a place for children. The food menu is not very varied considering that it is a place for children. There should be more variety in the food and a larger menu with better portions of food for adults, because children do not go alone, they arrive there with their parents.

Family had a bday party there. In general, I am not a fan of these places, but I recognize it's not about me as the adult. The hostess was good but completely overwhelmed. Party area was tight seating wise, in my opinion. Thankfully, the game area was not overcrowded. There were a few glitches so our party didn't start on time, and Chuck E. moved like he was out late the night before - but again, the dedicated hostess tried hard which made it bearable. And ultimately, the kids had fun.

I went down on Thursday with my daughter, and while she had some fun, we were disappointed to find that the restaurant partwere closed. I even asked someone if there was a bathroom available, but sadly, there wasn't! It was really a tough experience. Since it was my first time there, and I was invited by some colleagues, I was hoping for more. Honestly, I don't think we'll be returning anytime soon. Especially with no food and no bathroom

Introverted hubby and I loved it, kids hated it. On a Monday evening around 4, it was pretty much a ghost town with only 1 other parent and 1 child. It was quiet, orderly, and immaculate unlike our neighborhood Chuck E Cheese. We were looking forward to a pleasant evening for our 5 yo's birthday. Oldest son said "Absolutely not! This is weird! I'm not going in there!" And the 5yo said, "It's so sad nobody showed up to play....why do they only have 1 family?" They were not happy before we could even ch

This is my first time at this location but I must say, for a chucky cheese. It's nice

1 hour minute wait for a cold pizza on a early Friday afternoon. I wish I could complain to a manager but there isn't one in sight so instead I'll inform it's other patrons. Very nice atmosphere but you can get better quality food, service and at a better price at the outback next door. Never again

This is a very fun, clean, and quiet Chuck E Cheese. We all had fun. I have the seasonal passes and I don't regret it at all. It's one of the best choices to do. I'm a customer of Chuck E Cheese since 2005, we all love it.

I purchased a month membership for my son to be able to have fun any time we can bring him, and it It's worth the money. My biggest problem is that every time I come to the Central Ave location. This same person always looks miserable. She always has an attitude even when you're polite to her. She makes no eye contact and acts like you're bothering her. Does not know how to give no type of customer service. When you ask a question, she responds back with an attitude or psychotic.

The girl with the long extensions in her hair should not be doing cashier..shes rude and prejudice against her own kind which is really sad. No eye contact and unkind when speaking. Please keep her in the back. I would like to continue to come here. The other girl who is here is way nicer, smiles and welcomes you in unlike the girl in topic.

First time at this location and it was great. I need to be at a place where adults know how to behave, let alone the kids.

The manager there is amazing. She made my son very happy with her hospitality. The district manager needs to recognize the gem of a manager he has in that store I will be returning because of her. I also changed my review from 2 stars to 5 stars just because of her.

So I usually go to the E Gun Hill location but I decided to try here last month because it seem to have more toddler friendly games from the pictures,& it does for my 3-4yr old to have fun. However the customer service here is terrible. Something needs to be corrected because now I reading other reviews I'm seeing that being the #1issuw with their location. We stayed a little over an hour after my child had run thru all the games suitable for their age. Upon checking out our tickets for prize redemption, a

Had my kid's bday party here. It was fun. Kids enjoyed it. We had it on Tuesday nice and early and the place was empty. It was my first time going a Chuck E. Cheese. The pizza was good. The girls helping us were very helpful and took care of everything. Thank you!

Very crowded. For the purpose of health amd wellness there should be a limited number of persons at the same time. Children carry many germs because they touch everything!!! Stay safe. Otherwise a very nice place for grana and her grand babies

Not sure when Chuckie cheese got so darn expensive..but sheesh. What I can say is the Yonkers location was nice, spacious, clean, and filled with age appropriate activities for my 6 year old. I really enjoyed it!

I liked that my server Ariana went above and beyond with her excellent customer service. She made sure that my daughter?s birthday party was a spectacular one. The place was clean, the workers were all friendly, & the pizza was good. We will be returning to have another great time.

I legit had THE BEST TIME OF MY LIFE!!! First time coming to a 2.0 location, I always wanted to see what Yonkers was all about, and IT WAS A PERFECT EXPERIENCE!!! KUDOS TO ALEX & THE YONKERS TEAM....THEY DID THEIR THANG!!! I WOULD DEFINITELY RECOMMEND THESE GUYS, AND THEY KNEW HOW TO MAKE A FAMILY'S DAY SPECIAL!!! Got treated like royalty, Chuck E came by to greet us & got some pictures, food was outstanding, sista knew how to work that kitchen, and surprisingly I remembered Alex "the manager" from other CE

Fun place for the children. There are lots of fun machines to play. The kids enjoyed themselves very much. Food was deceit.

This location is great! Very clean, lots of game options for the kids, good food options and the staff are friendly and helpful. Diana was great with answering all our questions in deciding which pass to purchase and took great care of us for my daughter?s birthday. Will definitely come again!

Go early!!!! I would say at the opening !! My kids love this place from the selection of games geared towards younger kids it's a great experience for my two year old and four year old . Pizza is also good . The prizes are over priced way too many tickets for small items but still fun and dancing with chunky is great

So happy they open another Chuck E. Cheese !! It is close to my house, my kids love it !! They spent a nice time ,We will definitely come back again there!!!

Nephew's Birthday #4 Kids need this scape ?? ... We adults just pay the high prices lol, But is fun to see them free in there. Psdt: The crusty pizza is NEVER crusty. And Don't have lighters for the cake candles smh. ??????? #chuckecheese #mixedemotions

If they adjust the heater lower then it will be a great perfect experience. Be ready to feel unconfortable because the heater.

My kids love coming in here. I bring them quite often but their costumer service is really bad. The cashier lady doesn't make eye contact, doesn't smile, doesn't say you re welcome. She would just leave her spot while assisting without saying a world and return a few minutes later again without saying a word. Then handing me a dirty buzzer. Rude attitude. Baddest costumer service at a place where kids and parents go to have fun. It is supposed to be kinder.

Amazing first time here today since they opened in September 2022 the staff is very friendly. The prices are a bit high but the food is amazing and they have awesome fresh 2 dollar cake slices. Service is about and beyond the young gentleman man came to out table and asked if we wanted to go box with out us asking. Amazing service ??????????????

Awful, Awful, Awful!!!!!!!! I had an incredibly disappointing visit to Chuck E. Cheese recently. We ordered food and ended up waiting for an excruciating hour and 7 minutes before finally addressing the issue with a staff member. To our dismay, we discovered that our food hadn't even been prepared. My family, including two hungry young children aged 2 and 3, had been patiently waiting to eat. Sadly, their anticipation turned into disappointment as we were forced to leave and seek food elsewhere due to the

Great place for kids birthday parties , always clean and the derive from my host was on point. What we really love about this location is that is not super crowded

Absolute WORST Chuck E. Cheese experience I've ever had with my daughter .. Person at the front got my order wrong after telling her MULTIPLE times what I wanted .. then proceeded to laugh when I recieved my food and told her my order was wrong . They have most incompetent woman at the front . And if this wasn't a children?s place I would have a bunch of choice words for the woman . Save your time , the money and your frustrations and go to the Bronx locations

They have a website with 0 help They have a phone number with 0 help I have no idea what I'm looking at in the website. How do I buy a simple ticket or know the prices? When you call it gives you option for everything but someone to help you with questions

Just keep in mind it's a place "where kids can be kids"! Be ready for noise, laughter, tears... One suggestion - bring a sweater. The AC is on high.

The staff here is amazing! Very kind and patient. I attended a birthday party on 12/10/23 ? a majority of the children were autistic with sensitivity to noise. Although it can be challenging for our kids with special needs to enjoy themselves in these types of environments we were treated with love and respect. The young man who checks us in did a great job at making sure our kids were stamped and never left the designated play area. The staff that took our orders frequently asked how we were doing and the

Have had the last 2 birthday parties for my daughter here and it's great Everytime

If your kids are home and you need to get them out of the house and somewhere they are easily entertained, this is the place to go. When we visited the place was clean (even with multiple parties going on) and all the games worked and were in good condition. Food is good for a place made for kids. Then go next door to outback to grab yourself a delicious alcoholic beverage for a day well spent. ??

This score is entirely for the manager on duty at the Yonkers location on 8/24/24 at 3 pm. My son had a birthday party there and the party attendant was lovely and helpful. However, at the end of the party I was told that gift bags were not included in the package I purchased. I pulled up my confirmation email and clicked the link to the webpage that details what is included in each package and (surprise!) gift bags were listed there. Instead of doing the right thing or even speaking with me him-or-herself,

Had my daughter?s birthday party there. Great staff

I love going to this Chuck E. Cheese is clean the food is good most 98% of the games work well. This is the second wednesday i go that i feel like leaving the minute i speak to this lady, i wish i have her name i think she is the manager ?????She seems annoyed just to answer a question and acts like she is being bother. Today i really felt like leaving i just did not want to ruin the afternoon for my kids. But thankfully another lady fix the afternoon with her kindness i also wish i have her name.

Kuddos to the staff and our hostess Diamond for proving us an excellent service on our son's birthday, everyone was having fun and the staff was very kind and accommodating. The place is safe and you can tell that every staff member was very attentive.

I was here Sept 1 2024 @ 2pm-4pm ( Just so the manager knows who was on shift ) 1. Everyone should go through a proper training for each section of the place even if that's not their assigned post because saying ? i don't know ? to every question a customer has is crazy . 2. There needs to be at least 2 people covering the front for ordering & cashing out tickets . 3. The customer service from the girl at the ticket section was 0/10, she ignored me for about 4 minutes then came back with her hand out asking

Nice location, very clean and spacious. Lots of seating.

Kids loved it and my gf and i had a good time too. Pizza is great but 40$ a pie with 4 drinks is a bit crazy

Clean, great time based unlimited swipe play. Good place to let's the kids go play and the adults can snag a table and chat. The pizza is like a Costco pizza drenched in papa John?s garlic sauce. Is that horrible? Maybe?it sure is tasty. I'm here now letting my kids run amuck for an hour to get out of the house. Had a 6yr old birthday party here too in May which was pretty fun for the kids.

Very spacious and lots of games for children (and adults who feel young lol) to play. The variety of games will keep you entertained and busy. The food choices (pizza, appetizer [wings, fries, cheesy bread} and fountain drinks are actually pretty good (I normally go for the food). The area to host a birthday party is very lengthy and spacious for parties of 50+ easily. Definitely a place to bring your children and families to enjoy!

The unlimited play card was great for getting to play all the games you want for an hour

We held my son's birthday at Chuck e Cheese Yonkers today. Everything was great! Ariana was a wonderful party host. She was friendly, helpful & did everything to help the party run smoothly. The pizza was surprisingly good. Being that it was a Monday at 12:00, we had the place to ourselves.

When to this Chuck E. Cheese. For my daughter 8th birthday she had a good time. Diana was very helpful. Sine it was our first time here. Definitely will be back

The food was probably the best food I've had out of any other Chuck E. Cheese location, but the service here is terrible. We won multiple jackpots of up to more than 500 tickets, and on the card it only came out to 125, which obviously is not what we won. Although the food and the cleanliness of was great, unfortunately there's always a con about every location. Will not be coming here again.

I brought my kids here to do a small celebration for their early birthday and everything went well until the person in the Chucke suit came out. It was a Wednesday afternoon (4/3/24). My kids were waving and trying to hug him and he literally waved my kids away and walked away from them. I just feel that if you're going to work with children, this is highly unacceptable.

The place is brand new so it's great! All the machines work and the prices for the games and machines are very fair, c even the good is delicious! The only issue I see is that sadly they are under staffed, so there was a bit of a wait time to order food. Mind you, there was no line, and nobody was in front working the register to take food orders until I walked around and asked for help. Other than that though it was great ?? *UPDATE* Feb. 12th, 2023 Second visit for my daughter's classmates birthday

Has a great time with the family. The staff working on 8/12/23 was awesome. Best food from any chuck e cheese i have been to with my kids or niece. Keep up the great work and please reward 8/12 staff fir their hospitality and handling of multiple birthday parties so smoothly. Thanks!

Not the same as when I was a kid. It's about 45$ for 1.5hrs of gaming for a kid.. most of the games are kind of blahhh? but can be fun for the little.. staff do need education of food safety.. watch someone go from the check in kiosk to food area wearing same gloves?

We did not eat. Took grandson to play video games, etc. on a day off of school. Great place to play. Love the 1 price to swipe card unlimited for 2 hours. Great time was had.

My daughter loves it there but they need more staff. The trampoline part does not stay open. The minute the kids run out the worker Locks it up And walks away Then you have to find a worker to open it back up Which takes about good 15 mins

We arrived around 11am on a very cold Saturday morning. Ample parking in a strip mall. They were set up for maybe 6 parties but only 1 of the groups had arrived so it wasn't terribly packed. Staff was pretty friendly. The play space looked pretty clean overall but the bathroom had already run out of toilet paper. This is a good place to bring toddlers especially during the winter and I would return.

The employee wearing the Chuck E. Cheese costume was HORRIBLE to my children. My poor kids were trying to get his attention waving hello and he quite literally waved them OFF and repeatedly walked away from them. The arcade was not at all busy so I don't understand why he was being so passive and downright rude! This hurt their feelings so badly. I will NEVER come back! If you cannot handle working with children please get a new job you do NOT belong in this establishment.

Great fun for the kids. Held a bday oarty for our kid. The staff was great and everybody had a blast

I threw my son birthday party there back in December and all the kids had fun and the stuff was great

I had my daughter 3rd birthday last weekend, it was amazing. Kids had a lot of fun and adults too ??. My party host was the best and she made my party even better. Loved it.

Great, cleanest and super safe environment for kids and family. Easy to find a parking space.

I celebrated my daughters birthday party there this past Saturday and all of our table was infested with ants. After complaining to the manager about it they still kept coming back and still charged me full amount for my party. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone this is just not right!

I would not recommend this location as the staff is extremely rude. They are rude to both adults and children. There is no patience when working with the children.

I really do like this place for my child, except some of the employees. About 3 workers are nice, however majority of them are rude and have an attitude on their face. Otherwise, nice place.

Your kids will love you more than ever for taking them here

This review is based on my second visit to the Yonkers location with my son which was on 10/19. We arrived at approx 12 pm after my 4 year old gets out of school. Initially we were having fun playing games and eating dipping dots. My son ran over to a game with a lever and immediately pushed the lever in excitement. Unbeknownst to us there was a tech on the side of the machine that was repairing it. He became visibly upset and stated to my son ? I wish you wouldn't have did that.? My son was confused and im

This review is specifically for having a kids birthday party at Chuck E. Cheese. I booked the Ultimate Fun Package for my 6 year old?s birthday party. The kids had a blast with unlimited play but it was incredibly disorganized and I didn't feel like any staff was running the party. For example when the pizza was ready I had to round up 20 kids/parents individually to come to the party table. Then I had to ask when the cake was ready. When the ice cream was coming out. What made it worse was that I often cou

I took my grandson here. He had a wonderful time! This place is nice and not overwhelming for my 2 year old and his grandma! I recommend it. I went during the week a Thursday to be exact. It wasn't crowded. The staff was friendly and very engaging. Which really added to my grandson's experience. Thanks Chuckie Cheese!!!

Kids always enjoy, pizza is delicious, service is good.

Kiarra our party organizer was wonderful and caring! She was able to answer all my questions and keep my party together. The party was beloved by all the children. Saturday afternoon is prime birthday party time and the place was over packed maybe allow two less parties at 3pm so it is a bit less crowded. This will also help the staff not feel overstressed and keep them as sweet as they are. The kids were able to play games and enjoy them. The Chucky chocolate cake was so good!

cute for younger children . Friendliness of employees overall needs improvement . Front staff was in their own conversation start to finish , which is cool for a slow night at any job however when it's time to be customer facing a bit of enthusiasm would be nice . Young girl with curly hair - No hello, no smile , zero personality during interaction . impression is everything ,especially for an excited kid . Will be crossing this off the potential birthday party list.

We hosted a birthday here and had a great experience. Crystal was our host and she was very nice.

Grand Opening today was such fun! My son will be 4 in October and had a blast! Staff was friendly, attentive, and cleaning up frequently after guests. We can't wait to return for more fun!

Your children will love this place. The atmosphere is relaxing and family friendly. The pizza is really good. There is a lot to do and they have plenty of parking.

we celebrated my sons 8th Birthday on 12/30/22 and the birthday cake that they sold me at the restaurant had Black greenish mold all over it. And although they handled it in a professional manner.. The embarrassment and the children had already eaten the cake by the time I went to eat a small piece. These kids could have gotten sick. This is a big issue - safety and their health. The food platters were 27.99 and the food service size was so little - They should not charge such a high price for such little a

We had a birthday party for twin 7-year olds and the staff were excellent. Both kids (aged 2-13 years) and adults enjoyed playing the games!

Really clean spot the staff wipes the machine constantly throughout the day. Really friendly environment. Mostly younger kids 2-9. I take the drive here from the bronx just because this is the best one around NYC, in my opinion, of course.

Celebrated my grandson?s birthday on Saturday 1/27/24. Very organized, food was very good, very clean, staff was wonderful !!! The party was a big hit !!! Highly recommend

I've never been to a Chuck E. Cheese for food or a party. I've only been to bring my kids there to play the arcade. This location is clean. The arcade machines are all new. But not that many of them. And most are for young kids so don't expect any mature games.

New place in Yonkers ny very clean and staff was very professional. A lot of space well organized and I have to say again very clean keep up the good work. We celebrated my nephiews 6th birthday party

I would like to extend my thanks to the great team of Chuck cheeze my special thanks is to manager Twanda asst manager Nelson and helper Ryan for being so nice to me Twanda answered all my concerns and questions with smile and politeness Nelson and Ryan went out of their way to provide me with some hot water so I could take my medicine. Thanks a lot team to help me out today looking forward to meet you all soon

My mother in law was so excited to bring my 2 kids and nephew for the grand opening. She took off from work and traveled with 3 kids to get there. The sign clearly said it would be on 8/29. She shows up and they are not open and an employee states that due to permit issues the grand opening has been pushed until the next day 8/30. She takes off from work AGAIN because the kids were so disappointed and low and behold that the place is STILL not open. She has lost out on time and money from missing work to do

Is it a good place for kids to have fun. Pizza ?? has a nice flavor in there too! ????

I took my granddaughter to chuckycheese on Central Avenue. This entertainment business was clean and spacious for children. The activities for her age were appropriate. Is a place I would take her back to.

Cool Place for kids but machines need to maintain more. Get your deal on Groupon saves you some $$$

Just wondering how and why your location has hired people who have had restraining orders regarding violent threats towards handicapped children and families. Employees who have multiple child protective services cases. As well as employees whom have lost custody of their own children due to endangerment. This is a childrens party and play place does your company not conduct the necessary checks for these kinds of behaviors and history? I am deeply confused and saddened to feel as if our children are not wo

Go to the Bronx or anywhere else. They booked 4 parties at the same time, game cards didn't work for almost an hour, had to keep asking for my parties food and drinks. As soon as a party full of white people showed up, that's when they really didn't notice anyone but that party. The employees and the managers there have no clue on what they are doing. I had to keep reminding them of my party package. They even tried to consolidate the happy birthday song with chuck e to one song with all these random people

Ok, this CC is ok. There is plenty of free parking with a C V S Drug Store right next door , Outback restaurant o the other side of C C, and a few more stores also. Once inside CC, it's pretty big, had a lot of games and clean, lots of seating also. Felt it was a little understaffed, but it was a weekday (Thursday). The food was ok too, but took a minute to come out the kitchen, but they gave you a buzzer the rings when your order is ready. But I definitely recommend.

So happy to open chucke cheese , close to my house and kids love to spend time there , their favorite pl so far . Clean and nice inside . My only concern to have people at the entrance to get more security for the kids . The last time i been there . We entref the pl and we left with even anyone asking us . So we need it to be more safe for the kids pl .

Had a wonderful time for my son's birthday party. They accommodated me when I told my host I don't eat pork and I have my own turkey pepperoni. All in all my son n guest enjoyed. Arianna was my host

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s it like visiting an arcade today?

It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.

Is it better to go alone or with friends?

Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.

What should I bring to an arcade?

Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.

What’s the best time to visit an arcade?

Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.

Can I meet new people at arcades?

Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.

Are arcades still just for kids?

Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.

Are there events or tournaments I can join?

Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.

What if I’m not great at arcade games?

No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”

Why are arcade prize games so exciting to play?

Arcade prize games are a thrilling highlight in 2025! Claw machines, skee-ball, and ticket-redemption games like basketball offer a rush of skill and chance, with rewards like plushies, toys, or electronics up for grabs. Modern machines feature vibrant lights, digital scoreboards, and responsive controls, amplifying the fun. The lively arcade atmosphere, with cheering crowds and buzzing energy, makes every win feel epic.
