Reviews Summary

The reviews show a mix of experiences, with many praising the fun activities (mini golf, go-karts, arcade) and friendly staff, especially for family outings. However, complaints include inconsistent service (rude or unprofessional staff), malfunctioning games, high prices, and poor maintenance (bugs, waterlogged mini-golf holes). Customer Reviews

Came after a rain storm and the putt putt was flooded. We were told beforehand and decided to play anyways. Made it more challenging! Aside from that the two course options and theme/decorations on them were great! Had a great time with that and did not do any of the other activities but it looked like others were having fun. The staff was friendly and helpful. They have great deals with other businesses in the area.

OMGG had the most amazing time for Nea?s Bachelorette here!! Can't wait for our girl to get married ??. These folks go above and beyond . We had a blast and customer service is so good! Dress is from white fox.

Nice location to brings kids for a party. We only visited the arcade which was fun. 3 kids were able to play the VR Omni game which is $10/person. Then we played some at the arcade. Prices for games is pretty high compared to other places. Only a few games for $1. Even air hockey was $1.75. Otherwise seemed like a nice location to visit again.

My kids always have a blast here. They have done a great job keeping all of the games working. Bonus credits from a larger purchase recommended to give you more bang for your buck. Most recent visit we worked with an employee Kato who was super pleasant and patient with my kids while they picked prizes. We had misplaced a stuffed animal we won and had given up and were about to leave, but he went above and beyond and helped us track it down. He chased us into the parking lot and officially became my daughte

My friends and I came on a bachelorette trip to putt putt and got dippin dots. We really enjoyed the course and the staff were so friendly. They offered to take our picture and let the bride play free. The facility is so clean. I have never seen a cleaner arcade. I'll be back the next time I'm in Charleston. I can't recommend this business enough!! :)

If you do not like going to Frankies Fun Park, this place is a great subsitution. We went on a rainy day so we played all arcade games, motion theater and omni arena. I feel the game prices are very reasonable. We did have a few issues with a few of the games, but management and crew helped and reimbursed if they couldn't fix some games. Big shout out to Jack. He was friendly and welcoming. I would recommend the establishment adding more food items and adding more bowling lanes.

Golf course was fun! There was water puddled in a few of the hole, to the point we couldn't even use it.

We were visiting from Michigan and were very pleased and happy with the ?fun? variety of activities they offer for all. In addition, the manager is AWESOME! We accidentally left my son?s custom made Super Bowl hat in a race car and when I called to see if they had it, without hesitation, the manager mailed it back to us. I truly appreciate her kindness and will always recommend Charleston Fun park for families.

I'm no fan of arcades but at least it wasn't overwhelming like some I've seen. I really enjoyed the outdoor mini-golf with my kids and also the go-kart racing (if you have any kids less than around 12, I recommend you take the wheel of a double kart because these things are fast!).

I spent $275.00 in less than an hour. We received $75 total bonus bucks instead of the $125 advertised on the board. I requested it to be added and they refused. I would not recommend. The facility should be bigger to housed the attractions. Frankie's is better equipped with exceptional customer service. A few of these games seem to be rigged as well.

We had a great time playing mini golf and riding go carts. The staff are very friendly and helpful. We went during the week, and it was kinda slow, but it was Monday. I would definitely recommend visiting to play fun games with the family. Very family-friendly. We visit every time we are in town.

Went with my extended family to play putt-putt / mini golf. We did the 18 hole course on the right. It was a nice little course. There are mosquitoes and sand fleas though so bring some bug spray! The sign out front said no animals allowed. Only Service dogs are welcome. It looks like they had axe throwing, go karts and Games with a prize counter.

Prices have gone up over the years, of course. This last visit, there was a sorority that took over the patio and mini-golf. Outdoor go-carts, indoor bumper cars, and VR were closed. If you win at the video games, you have to pay for the next level instead of just getting to continue, so money doesn't last long. Some games give tickets that you can turn in for candy and cheap toys at the counter. As an arcade, it's loud with lots of flashing lights. There is handicapped parking and accessible entrance. Ba

We came to play putt putt. We weren't disappointed with the courses. They were clean and maintained. The courses were not overly difficult but just hard enough. Based on the reviews I read before going I understood the complaints. There were a lot of machines out of order. Most of the staff really didn't seem to care. The girl running the register had a tongue ring and she couldn't keep the thing in her mouth. She kept ringing it around her lips, her tongue along with the ring stayed outside of her mouth m

We had a blast at the CFP!! Jack and the rest of the crew were beyond helpful and a lot of fun. All the games worked beautifully and it was a very clean building !! 10/10 for dates, birthday parties, and any fun event !

i've been here many times over the last several years (hoping for a different outcome) and every time it absolutely blows. This place is horrible. Many of the games don't work at all and when you mention it to the managers they just don't even bother to fix them. A lot of games are rigged so that you literally have 10 to 20 seconds to play them before they turn off. Taking your kids here we'll just frustrate them because the business doesn't maintain what they have. If I could give it zero stars I would.

Update. It has been a few years since we were able to go back. I am happy to say that things have greatly improved. This experience was much better, cleaner, and the staff was pleasant. Thank you for taken the effort and time to make your facility a better place for all who choose to visit. I took my family for a night of putt putt. The staff really didn't seem interested in helping. The course was decent and challenging. However, several lights were out making it very difficult to see. We had to use our p

Pretty fun experience. Honestly the putt putt was a little too hard for a date. Wasn't a super ?fun? course. I will say if you want to get competitive golf with the boys it would be fun.

All we did today was the arcade. The go-karts were down for maintenance. Mini golf was very popular due to the beautiful weather.

We had such a Blast bringing our Daughter to this Unique Arcade and Fun Park! She was quite Happy as this was a Birthday Surprise for her to enjoy!! We stayed for quite a while and hope to return soon for further Adventures!! They house large Claw Machines, VR games, Pinball, Air Hockey and many varieties of Game Play! They even have a Mini Bowling Alley, Putt Putt Golf, and Go-Karts.

Always a great time. Kids had a blast, grownups enjoyed it as well:) tons to do; arcade, bumper cars, go carts, axe throwing, mini golf and bowling. Fun park for big or small, under one ?roof? ;)

they don't make you buy it and they don't scam you at arcade. I won the 500 tickets prize so it's not a scam now I know it also I had a good golf course.

Played an 18-hole mini golf with my hubby and it was great!! So much fun! And the pricing is reasonable as well. We will definitely be back to play again!

We came in the off-season and played putt-putt golf. Courses are in great shape and challenging. Staff was nice.

The location is very laid back. The employees are present but not enthusiastic about working. It was busy during our visit but we weren't informed to wait before playing mini golf. There was a line once we made it to the 3rd hole and people were quitting halfway around as day turned to night. Some of the lights were out so, we couldn't tell if we were going in the right direction. We even lost our balls around 15 or 16 and it took several minutes to find them. I keep wipes in my purse so, we cleaned our equ

Fun thing to do if needing a break from all that beach time fun. We did the go karts and a bunch of the video games. There were a few too many of games which were focused on getting tickets to be traded in for ?stuff? - (plastic toys, candy, etc). I would have preferred more regular games that are just fun to play than having the goal of amassing tickets to trade in. I also wish the go cart track was longer. They gave us a good amount of time to get lots of laps in, but it isn't a very large or interest

Only mini golf place in Mount Pleasant. Option to play 18 or 36 holes. Reasonably priced and challenging holes.

Pretty cool activity for something to do with the kids in mind. An assortment of arcade and ticket games, a VR gaming experience, two mini golf courses and a nice size (and fast) go kart track. This rating is moreso a 4.5. Would've been a solid 5, but the mini golf courses were woven with water features and none of them were operating, which led to stagnant water, which led to a few bug bites. Otherwise, a cool thing to do in Charleston.

100% fun for the family. Only reason for 4 stars is they sold me tickets for go karts even though go karts were closed. The VR experience is a absolute must

Fun place to bring the family. From mini golf, bumper cars, go karts and arcade. Best part is that you can drink a beer while kids play. I just wish the prices were lower. Arcade was expensive!

Took my three boys ages 5,10,13 we all loved it. Neat place, they had axe throwing, put put, little bowling lanes, bumper cars, virtual reality ( which to me was a little expensive, 15.00 a person) and tons of games to earn tickets. We had a blast but spent 120 dol in 55 minutes

Neat place to bring the kids when it is raining or too hot for other stuff. There is an indoor arcade area with some basic games. Most of them are carnival games to get tickets rather than arcade video games. If it is nice out you could do go karts or mini golf too. It is expensive. Most games in the arcade area cost $1 or $2 to play.

Favorite with the kids. Clean. Somewhat expensive but the kids love it.

Go karts were terrible. I got a slow one and was told an lackluster sorry sir by the kid working there, which is cool. Kids these days.. lol the worst offender was the Mini Golf course. Talk about a waste of time and money for a whole group. Nothing fun about this fun park for a grown person

We had our son?s birthday party here and the employees were outstanding! Chandler helped with the party and went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. He also made our son feel so special on his big day. Rayshard greeted us and was very patient and helpful with all of my questions. Overall fantastic experience and a very happy birthday boy!

We had a good time. Employees were very nice as well.

Went for 18 holes of mini golf. Super clean and well maintained. Therevwete a lot of trees so you're not baking in the blazing hot sun. Thank you. Definitely will be back! My brother and I had a Fantastic time!

We really had fun with putt putt. The go carts were ok, the kids running them were, not very focused the customers. The games were pretty good we enjoyed most of them. Most of the staff were nice, but one of boys behind the counter was a real jerk. Overall a good place for a family night out.

Enjoyed mini-golf with a small dose of nature mixed in. Course is fun. Go karts, bumper cars, virtual reality and games. What more could a kid want?

Awesome place! Super fun!

The course was very well kept, and the staff were kind and courteous. 10/10 would recommend

This place was great! My fiance' and I had a blast. Until the last game, we did the Virtual roller coaster, but it was consumer tech and you can buy tht @ Walmart! I liked it. But he did not! Lol ... We could have done it @home. Obviously. But we wouldn't have got the seat moving affect tht came with it. Other than tht, we had an amazing experience @ the Charleston Fun Park... So thank you all for tht experience!!!

This place was a lot of fun. There's ax throwing, mini golf, go carts, and game. Food and drinks to buy.

So much cool virtual reality gaming. Sweet VR coasters and VR shooting game. High quality games, decent mini golf. Excellent go kart track and very friendly staff. Well maintained facilities and grounds. The management do an excellent job.

Son had a lot of fun, affordable for all the activities there are to do. Well worth it

Had lots of fun playing miniature golf and in the arcade. The VR game was especially fun. Felt like a real life version of "Ready Player One." People were friendly, too!

Our big family has kind of developed a tradition of playing mini golf when on vacation. We have played some rundown courses littered with debris, particularly around Gatlinburg. This facility was pristine, it was not at all tacky and the golf course was superb by mini golf standards.

My kids love it here. They saved up their money and were able to get bonus play points when they bought their cards. There are tons of different games to play. It's very clean and updated, and there's a little snack shop and go-carts/mini-golf outside. This is a must-do for our family when we come to Isle of Palms/Charleston.

The 10 year old baseball players and their families and coaches had a blast!

We are annual vacationers and come here every year with our extended family of 17. We got here on Wednesday evening at 7pm and paid for putt putt and one go cart ride for each of the 10 kids. They advertise closing at 9pm, but they shut down go carts at 8:30pm without communicating this to us with our purchase, and no signs stating this caveat. Our putt putt game lasted until 8:45pm, and we headed to the go carts. Then the attendant started shutting down the lights at the go carts. Some of us then tried to

Just old and small you'll keep looking for fun but it's good for kids

Very clean putt putt. Couldn't do the arcade because the internet was down, but there was a lot of arcade to choose from. VR was also down. The go kart was fun but lots of mosquito bites in line. A little far from most things but would visit again great for kids!

Kids love going here. I enjoy going there. I do not enjoy paying $60 to try and "win* a stuffed animal that I could have bought off Amazon 10 times..... Besides that aspect, for what you're doing, the rest of the place is great. Mini golf is great and reasonably priced. The video games are fun. And Go Karts are awesome.

We had a birthday party here and they wouldn't let us eat our cake. The food they offer are old 7/11 hotdogs and chips. They also charged us for a cup of water. The gocarts were running out of gas and we spent $50 to play very few games. The tickets didn't process properly either. The Jurassic Park game was broken and charged me double. The manager there was 14 years old. Should have went to Frankie's.

The virtual roller-coaster was down, one of the bumper cars was down, and every area with a sign to see attendant had no worker in attendance. You will have to repeatedly locate someone at the front desk for service. A couple had been standing at the go-cart ride ringing for an attendant for a while with no response. I went back to the desk to get an attendant to start the go-cart because we wanted to ride as well. They said the bell didn't work so no one knew people were waiting. This place was the worst e

Great time for family's. Reasonably priced w tons of activities!

Great place for the whole family. Mini golf and go karts along with time in the arcade for a family of 4, a few hours of fun for $100 or so. I will be back to spend more money here for sure!

Talk about fantastic customer service! Our family had a great time here! Ray and crew were super friendly and Ray really went above and beyond to make our visit fantastic! We'll definitely be back next time we are in the area!

Mini golf was fun. Sadly we could not go cart because the carts closed early. We would have done those first had the employee suggested that there was an earlier close for those when we checkin in instead of handing us golf balls first.

Loved it here great mini golf course and also able to get a bucket of beers for the course. Can't get better than that!

Outside staff wasn't there and we had to wait for someone. Then when they came they didn't apologize for it, and acted like we inconvenienced them. Very rude. The inside virtual ride wasn't running along while the tag games, I was only interested in doing the virtual ride though. Overall, bad experience while on vacation.

We had a great time playing putt putt and the mini bowling was so fun! We were getting bit by bugs outside but they had bug spray at the desk for customers to use which was great! The island course has lots of water hazards and hills, it was a good challenge compared to other courses we have done other places, and hole 18 was a cool way to end the game. it was not too hard but not too easy. Jack was amazing- he was super helpful and fun!

Fun games- we loved the mini bowling. Super friendly staff. Very clean- even on Saturday night! Raining so we couldn't do mini golf, so we will do that next time we visit! My 12 year old son loved it!

We had fun! The kids played on the indoor bumper cars, 3D coaster, and the outdoor go karts.

Expect to spend like any place of this kind. This place is one of a kind! They have everything! Arcade games, VR, go carts, bumper cars, put putt, too much to mention! Food, drinks and Birthday parties! Definitely worth checking out, especially if you're on vacation with your family! Loved it! Will be back!

Overall, a pretty fun place to hang out. The arcade games are fun, and the prices are fine. Mini golf is a bit run down, but fun for a family. The go carts are probably our favorite.

called at 10 on a weekend multiple times no answer they lied about close time this place sucks don't go.

A couple of neat games in the arcade (virtual reality) but many were broken/not working. Most games are about $2-3+ to play per swipe for shooting or sports type games. Mini golf liked nice but we didn't play it. Edited: this place was apparently taken over by a new owner and is SO MUCH BETTER! We visited a few weeks ago and were very pleasantly surprised at the improvements!

We come here every year but wow, Ray is the man! Enjoyed our 18 holes of mini golf but it was too competitive that there was a tie for first place. Ray, at the front, couldn't let that happen and decided to give us a free credit to settle the tie in air hockey. Once the winner was determined, the winner received the trophy of all trophies, a jolly rancher! Hope to see Ray again when we come back, amazing customer service.

Took our 4 year old and 18 month old here for a last minute evening activity and they both had a blast. Staff was great, and it wasn't too busy.

Fun-packed enjoyment for all ages. Lots of fun with the VR coaster, putt-putt, axe-throwing, 2-person go-carts, and arcade. Aim for 500 in the arcade to get better prizes for adults.

Great place to have some fun! My husband and I love to scope out some fun things to do while we are on vacation, and the putt-putt, some arcade games and axe throwing did the trick. Jack was great in helping teach us proper techniques with axe throwing and was extremely friendly throughout both days we visited. Will definitely be back if ever in the area again!

Vr coaster was down. Arcade games are really expensive. Hot dog is only meal item. Staff was very friendly.

My family visited on a Sunday night and had a lot of fun! We chose to do both mini golf courses as it was only $3 more to do 36 holes instead of 18! Both courses were challenging and fun and we recommend anyone looking for some evening competition check out this awesome place! The staff was super friendly and very welcoming as well!

busy place high priced. vr machine made up for alot.

The Teenage staff they have?managing? this place are nice but seem displaced and not really caring. We had that pass that lets you do stuff but because they loaded it wrong we could only do 1 instead of the 2 we had chosen. And then they had the track down bc of ?weather? conditions but the golf course had more water than the cart track did. Should of worn a bathing suit instead. Management needs to tighten up their staff.

Such a fun spot! We putt putt here regularly. They have two, 18-hole courses and the prices are very reasonable. We usually do the deal for both courses that is $15. You can also purchase a half off an 18-hole on their website. They've recently replaced many of the greens which has been nice. If it's been raining there are a few holes that have standing water. It's mostly teenagers that are working so not the most mind-blowing in terms of customer service but they are helpful and quick. The arcade games are

This was a wonderful outing for my grandson! He got the tidalwave package and had an amazing afternoon we spent about 4 hours here. The owner was walking around, such a nice man. Helped out my grandson twice. And he was very patient with all his questions.

My rating is based on the mini golf experience only::: While the mini golf courses were more fun & challenging than your typical place, OMG the bugs!! ?????? We skipped most of the holes because there were so many bugs flying around, biting us. And I get it, it's outdoors, but I've been to several outdoor mini golf spots and haven't had an issue like this before. Noticed the bug spray provided at the counter as we were leaving, but honestly that amount of bugs surrounding the courses needs pest control serv

Super fun for all ages. My mom at 77 had a blast on the go carts. My kids, all mid twenties had fun in the arcade, go carts and putt putt. It's a nice place.

It was fun. The go-carts were a good time, except for one lane, the mini-bowling was broke, but there were plenty of good games. It was a fun couple hours. Crowded but still able to move around.

What a great way to spend a Saturday night with the kiddos! If you are looking to get some energy out head over to the Charleston Fun Park. Plenty of things to do for the kids and parents. The go-carts were fast and and well maintained. A lot of spirited racing with other guests made for some exciting times. Love the tandem carts so I could take my six year old with me. He couldn't get enough. When we were hungry we headed over to the snack bar. Kids played arcade games while the food was being prepared. So

It is great having a children's funpark in Mt. Pleasant, however the arcade prices are extreme. We would go a lot more often if the prices were more reasonable. For example, 1.00 to 3.50 per arcade game. Also, I noticed with several of the games, like the clown game and such, the balls do not come back fast enough. So, you get to throw only a few balls. These machines should be checked more often and materials replaced as needed. Again, place is fun. My son does love it. But it comes down to and I a

Place itself seemed fun, HOWEVER, some of the staff were incredibly unprofessional. Two of the younger girls especially were unnecessarily and extremely rude. The girls made it abundantly clear that they were displeased with our presence (eye rolling, hand gestures, and rude comments). Our party also heard them talking badly and complaining about other customers with no discretion of who heard them. These young high schoolers are clearly not very well-trained or managed and not capable of running this place

Awesome place to spend some time with just the boys (I'm sure girls love it as well). My son and I have a blast each and every time, the go cart track is the main attraction. Don't let any bad weather keep you away, plenty to do inside and the food is reasonably priced. If you are a tourist you can easily spend 2-3 hours here and not do the same thing twice (unless go carts). Hope your experience is as good as ours.

We came on a rainy day so the activities were limited. The staff was unfriendly - the lady at the front desk asked me to take off my mask to place my order ?because she couldn't hear me and masks are not required? (even though she made no attempt to hear me, and obviously we were not wearing masks because of a requirement). The arcade section is a rip off - literally probably a third of the games took my money without actually working. We wanted to bowl but the mini bowling game was just constantly messing

We dropped in today for a short visit, and to check out the place - a young couple and their one year old little boy. ?? We just did the Island mini golf course today, but it was quite enjoyable! Set up well, easy to play, taken care of. ?? Definitely planning to go back for a longer day and try out the go-carts, VR, and all the other games!

Terrible waste of time and money. Went in the evening to have a little fun - very disappointed. Staff is all aloof teenagers with no personality or work ethic. Most of the games were out of order or malfunctioning. We played one round of mini-golf and the course is a bit repetitive and not exceptionally challenging. There are leaves and debris all over every green and most of the holes were full of water so you had to dip your hand in nasty water to retrieve your ball. They don't clean the mini-golf c

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s it like visiting an arcade today?

It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.

Is it better to go alone or with friends?

Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.

What should I bring to an arcade?

Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.

What’s the best time to visit an arcade?

Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.

Can I meet new people at arcades?

Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.

Are arcades still just for kids?

Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.

Are there events or tournaments I can join?

Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.

What if I’m not great at arcade games?

No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”

Are virtual reality games in arcades worth playing?

Yes, virtual reality (VR) games in arcades are a top attraction in 2025! Titles like Beat Saber and Half-Life: Alyx deliver immersive thrills with cutting-edge headsets, motion tracking, and responsive controllers. High-resolution displays and spatial audio create heart-pounding experiences, from slashing rhythms to battling zombies. Arcades feature multiplayer VR zones and tournaments, fostering lively communities. VR booths are regularly packed, proving their captivating, next-level gameplay makes them a must-try arcade experience.
