For respect for my girl, Menda make sure you don't come with funky feet just out of respect! This place is great. Has a super old-school vibe prepared to get a ribbon if you got stinky feet though! Everything works arcade alcohol good hours not too pricey I don't know what else you could ask for it doesn't get moreSan Dimas than this!
This is my favourite bowling alley in Los Angles county. Great staff, amazing pizza ?? and beer off the draft. It doesn't get better than this place. And the prices are great.
The pool tables have been upgraded better than before.
Such a great place been coming here for over 20 years, my entire family and many friends come to this location. Very clean, lots of parking. Always feels safe. Clean restrooms. Even has a bar located inside used to have karaoke not sure if it still does. Fair prices and lots of fun! Highly recommend and will return.
Place is good for the most part. I gave it only 3 stars because many of the bowling balls aren't marked with the weight. It was very difficult to find smaller balls
I've been coming here for years with my boyfriend and it's always a fun date night for us, billiards and drinks. Except for today, I was very disappointed in the bartenders customer service. Didn't greet us at all, was very cold and had an annoyed demeanor to her. Being the kind person I am I still tipped her 50 percent on a watered down margarita... We left after that.... Hopefully her attitude changes
Decent bowling spot. Expensive, bleh food options, pitchers of beer (which is a big plus), an arcade for kids to play in and a seedy bar with pool tables. The bowling lanes were fine but none of the three scoring machines we had worked. It all had to be programmed from the front desk where there was only one person working and the lines got to be pretty long. Not the worst place but certainly not the best either.
We are local associations annual event here.. the food, service and staff is amazing and really accommodating.
This is an outdated bowling alley. The prices are similar to a newer place. See pics for pricing. I'm not fond of having to give them one of my shoes when I pay to rent a pair of bowling shoes. (You read it right, they keep one of your shoes until you return the rental shoes) I also wasn't happy about paying $1 to use my debit card. Most places these days don't have up charges for basic services. The snack bar food was good, it was fresh to order and the staff there were friendly.
Lanes (Sensors) don't work. If you hit 1 pin it'll give you 2 or 3 points. Manager at the front desk has horrible communication skills and service. Super outdated. Find another bowling alley
Enjoyed bowling in a quiet place. The time was 12:00 pm, so no rush. Our group did not have that many people
The best bowling alley around, especially for all it does beyond bowling. The lanes are numerous and well maintained. The staff hard working and helpful. But after or instead of bowling you can enjoy much more. They have a nice arcade selection including some truly vintage pinball. The bar & resturant has free darts, giant Connect Four, and affordable pool and table shuffleboard. We will definitely drive past the 2 bowling alleys nearer us to go again.
I love to go here its very safe and clean for little ones too!
Thank you again so much Chaparral Lanes and Alma for an amazing birthday for my son Luke and his friends they had a blast!..Best place to have a birthday!
A great place, very good service. Tip: go after 10pm and u can bowl till 1:30am for 15$ including the shoe rental. Good lanes, well maintained.
Good family oriented place, but also good for a date, friends reuniones, family gathering etc. Affordable prices, best pro shop in town.
Awesome place, staff is very friendly and tentative. Restrooms are decent, bar is great and the food bar has some spectacular pizza! The food bar employees are also very nice and provide outstanding customer service and very reasonable prices! During the week, there's always a space to bowl!
we had fun they are so good in price and after 830 till closing you can play game after game ...... if you have not gone go check it out for your self .... there's just one thing that I did not like you cannot have your drinks on the same table where you sit and play bowling the drinks have to be put on the table in the back
We had a fun time with the family. I bowled my best game. Super fun place, definitely going again
Everything was pretty good!! However the nasty aptitude from one of the staff was totally unacceptable!! He was completely disrespect to my family when he needs to give us or bowling shoes.
Such a fun place, I work for a company that takes care if adults with disabilities and I love that they have discounts for them and are so helpful, a great place to bring your family
Thank you for a delightful bowling event! Our young adults enjoyed socializing and forming new friendships in a welcoming environment. The delicious food was an added treat made with gourmet ingredients that made the experience even more memorable. The entire staff of the Bowling Alley was truly welcoming & accommodating .We appreciate your efforts and look forward to future events.
Hello and blessings! I had a good experience here recently for a team party. I read some reviews before writing this and saw one that said this place is dated. Maybe a bit, but it's not broken. Also, makes me think if only the walls can talk?Respectively. Brings me back to my childhood running around while my dad bowled and gave me quarters. So I don't knock it for that. Staff here is nice. That said, remember to be nice to them too. We all have hard days. I'm not pounding beers these days so I can't say mu
This one is a "wowza" if you bowl. 46 lanes and umpteen leagues. Clean and quite an upgrade from most bowling alleys. Huge difference from Oak Tree Lanes in Diamond Bar.
Super fun super clean great place for a birthday party.
Some of the lanes don't really work. I like the vibes here though because most folks seem to know each other and are pretty friendly.
Very nice bowling alley! Went there for the first time for a birthday party. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and the place was very clean, including the restrooms. They had a nice snack bar that offered a good variety of food and snacks, including house made pizza. They offered a full bar area for the adults. There are plenty of parking spaces as well. Would highly recommend this place to you and will definitely be back.
Great atmosphere, clean shoes? Great beer prices, hard to beat this place.
Clean friendly staff, lots of issues with the bowling lanes. Bar had a good selection of beers on tap.
Had a great time celebrating our daughters 8th birthday here, had 6 of her friends, cupcakes, pizza. Good times.
Fun place with decent enough prices. Could use some updates to equipment, but overall not bad. Seasoned curly fries are tasty. Lots of options on tap at the bar.
They did a claim lower than other attorneys, and yet not paying out
Took my kids Sunday night & they loved it!! Will be going back soon for my son?s birthday!! Great staff & great service? reminds me of why I fell in love with bowling years ago ??????
Decent spot for some fun bowling. Outdated but has a retro vibe.
Always a fun time at this location! They have great pizza and great wings overall fun ambience. They have a specials in terms of bowling rates per game and hourly every day of the week. Cosmic bowling is a must!
We had a fun time bowling. The lanes are well maintained.
Came here after a tournament. Was able to get a lane within 10 minutes of it being over. Very friendly staff when we came here. Reasonable prices for an hour bowling with just 2 people. Can get a few games in.
Chaparral Lanes is our favorite place to go. We love the atmosphere, the staff, and the music. Its perfect for family fun times and going out with friends. The nightlife DJ and drinks makes the place more fun for date night. The retro feeling just continues with the good vibes atmosphere. We will always go bowling here over anything else. 10/10
Absolutely love the energy here. Amazing staff and very respectful. Mandi the owner always has such a positive energy. Always have a good time coming here and wouldn't recommend any other bowling alley around. Really good prices for bowling , well maintained, and love the people here
I love this place! I travel 15 miles and pass 3 bowling Alley?s just to bowl here. The owners are always so helpful and have treated my family so kindly for years. I appreciate Manda, the owner for always recognizing us and making sure we are taken care of. Great business!
Good food and affordable drinks. Games are $6 each most of the time and they have 2+ hour lane rentals. Bowling balls are a bit beat up and have lots of chips.
We literally just come for the food and drinks. Always a good time.
!!!!!BEWARE!!!!! The manager Amanda, is extremely rude and disrespectful. The lanes don't work and the place is unorganized. I recommend to not come to this place. Instead of enjoying the experience of bowling, you will despise it. Please go to anywhere else but here.
The outside may not have been updated in a while, but the place is still so fun! Everything is clean, the shoes even seemed new! Easy access to many ranges of ball weights. And you can beat the customer service!!! We had a party there and it was a great deal for pizza & bowling & shoe rental per bowler. And kids were going for extra slices, which there were plenty. The food was good! And the bar specials were awesome on a Sunday! Now, dont get me wrong this isn't one of those bougey bowling allies. In my
Went there for my nephew Emiliano's College Graduation Celebration on 6-15-24. We had a blast. We Karaoke'd we played pool, video games, pinball, air hocky & Bowling. We had a blast so many things to do there. Food is great. Highly recommend for a good time with family and friends.
Great atmosphere. Loved the lanes. Me and my wife had a great time. We will be going back soon. The people that work the lanes and floor were awesome. So friendly and helpful. Great experience.
Great staff and friendly customer service. We recently had a bowling party there and had a great experience. There bar also has great craft beer at a good price. It has a great nostalgic feel to it!
Food was really good and I had a great time. The only problem was it was too warm there. We didn't stay as long as we planned. We would have if the place was cooler.
Nice experience and nice clean place. Very friendly staff. Will be back when we come back to California
We had an event at Chapparal Lanes San Dimas a few weeks ago and it was such an awesome venue! The food and service was on point and the best. There pizza is absolutely phenomenal.
A run down hole in the wall. Watered down drinks and greasy food. Pass
Lots of fun! Pizza was good.
Last month, we were at Chapparal bowling for a social event. It was a wonderful family atmosphere while we enjoyed bowling and had a lot of fun food a well. A wonderful place to get away as we cope in the urban jungle.
Went there with family after my cousins high school football game. We had a ton of fun. The lanes aren't that much. There's an arcade pool and a few other amenities. All kinds of games. Giant Jenna blocks. Giant connect 4, etc... If you and the family want a good night out. This is a GREAT place to go!
The prices are fine but the people who run the bowling alley are rude last night the person who I was ordering food was so rude than he slammed down the vibrating thing that lets you know your food is done when we went to get the food he gave plates and cups and just walked away. The woman would give us less tokens we were paying for and say she gave us more and that wasn't always the case we were every dissatisfied from the people to the food we won't be going back
Chaparral Lanes took get care of us. I just had my girls birthday party there and the staff there was just great! Very attentive to my needs. All my guests really enjoyed themselves. And even commented on how successful the night was. Thank you Chaparral Lanes!
Love this place!!! The owners have been there 25+ years and for good reason. I grew up in this town and seeing the same family run the alley so well keeps me and family coming back!! ??
Bowling is fine here but the bartender lady was incredibly hostile for no reason. I grabbed the first round of beer pitcher for my party and wanted to get 5 EMPTY glasses/cups instead of default 4 cups and the lady absolutely refused saying I need to buy more beer to get 5 to get 5 EMPTY glasses. I explained my colleague was gonna buy the next round, but she absolutely refused. It's not like I'm underage; I'm 32 years old as a reference. Later my colleague got a second pitcher but he only had 2 glasses a
Good place to play darts has 4 steal tip boards bring your own darts...house darts suck
I have been coming here for years and now bringing my kids here to bowl. Seems like the owners have also been the same ever since I can remember. Good for family as well as adults who want to have a good night out without the kids. Nice bar and good food.
The pro shop inside is the best!! The owner Memo is a very honest man that knows his stuff. The bowling alley itself is nice and big with plenty of room for groups and leagues. They have a really big bar to hang out in and enjoy some drinks. The food is good for being bowling alley food?? the room for improvement is the bathrooms. The men's bathroom always smells and the atmosphere is very rundown/needs a major facelift
These women are disrespectful and ghetto, I can't belive how rhey treat a military veteran like trash, and I follow here and she and her co-workers belittlebme and try to fight me
Had an okay experience it was a pretty crowded Saturday. All lanes were full. Played for an hour with my 2 daughters $50 including shoes. Got to play 2 games during that time. Kind of old and outdated. They did have a bar but didn't purchase any food or drinks but they were available. Arcade was small and a bit expensive for older games. Overall had an okay experience would only go back for a deal.
It's a good place to bowl
Most of the arcade machines were busted and some took the tokens and didn't work. The ticket counter machine was busted.
This is a very nice bowling alley good music clean friendly customer service from Gita Lanes or well kept in oiled drinks and food or a little high just like most places but overall I still really like this bowling alley better than a lot of local spots
Well ran establishment . Prices are reasonable great place to hang out on the weekends . Pizza is good . Good selection of beers at the bar.
I like this spot. It's easy going and reminds me of the bowling alleys I would go to as a kid. Nothing bougie or fancy about it but it's very inviting. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The food is good and the bar is big with a lot of beers on tap. Additionally, the bar has darts, shuffleboard, a small stage, pool tables, and other fun activities. My family loves coming here.
It was fun getting together with friends for Nuke at Night. Employees were considerate and helpful. Felt safe with security walking the lanes. Cold pitchers and great snack food made the night. Can't wait to come back ??
Tried three pairs of shoes and two different alleys. Couldn't slide without sticking and pitching forward. Wasn't able to make one good approach in two games and practically injured my knee. The balls are horrible. The old lady tried to accommodate me but at the end when she asked me if the new lane helped was rude when I told her it didn't. Even though I haven't bowled in a long time I did plenty when I was younger and I know it wasn't me like she rudely said. Waste of money since I was spending more time
What really made me give this place a 4 star was the amazing ladies at the bar. They were so nice and just incredible polite, kind, and so friendly. Im going back just to see them again
Got here and not even 5 minutes in the lane gave out, kid starts fussing crying. So I want to leave and go ask for a refund. They refuse to refund me my money and also don't have anywhere posted no refunds. If you come with little ones your lanes will get shut don't don't recommend for toddlers
If I could give this place a negative star, I would. I have been coming to this place for years to bowl, and ever since these owners have taken over, this place has progressively become worse and worse. I have spent countless amounts of money here with family and friends, and sadly, tonight will be my last night coming here. The older Indian lady at the front desk who I believe is the owner or a close relative to them is extremely rude and believes I, as a customer, should know how her old, dilapidated non
I wish they would use their air conditioner. We would have spent more time but we all were sweating. I couldn't wait to get in the car. Kind of a bummer.
He had a family outing we had a lot of fun
Bowling price is by person ,game, or hour. pool tables available, but is $2 per game. There is a arcade for kids, too. Food is decent and there is a full bar.
We go to play darts and the boards are not even playable anymore. Nor are the points chalkboards. So, we left and gave others playing games our pitcher of beer lol once they fix/upgrade the dartboards- ans score boards- we'll be back with a ton of friends that love to drink beer and play darts!
The food was pretty good and the live dj was AWESOME!! This was my first time, and I can't wait to go back.
I like this place. Do I love it. No. The foods a while to come out I'm talking 20 min plus for a hot dog. The $17 bowling for 2 hours is awesome with shoes. Arcade is decent. The staff up front working the shoes is nice. Oh and the fries were good. Kinda wish the music was on blast during bowling but watching baseball was fun as well. Angels pitch a no-hitter.
We had fun, and that's what really counts. The place was very busy and we arrived as a League night was beginning so even though there was no line to wait in - service was slow as the employees worked out a number of kinks with getting teams computers up and running. Despite that, the employees remained friendly. The place is a little run down and the balls they supply have been used hard and have massive gouges as a result. The lanes seemed to be kept in good condition (although I am not a regular bowler
Nice clean place. We had a kid birthday party here. Fun for everyone! The staff was super helpful.
My family come here at least once a week. They are league bowlers and sing high praises of Chaparral. I only bowl once in a blue moon with friends, but I came here on recommendation from my family. Whether you're a regular or just wanting to have a fun day with the family, Chaparral does the trick. Manda at the front makes sure to get everybody on the lanes as fast as possible. I like getting mozzarella sticks from the snack bar. I'm an idiot, and spilled a pitcher of water. The employees were so nice about
It was a nice spot, I'd love to visit when there isn't a tournament going on :) and even with that said everything felt welcoming. And the vibes of everyone in the tournament were amazing. I'd love to give this spot another shot in the future. I personally would like more video games but that's preference.
Best experience ever! Manda, the owner/manager, and its staff are very courteous, pleasant and professional. We were treated like VIPs!
Can be a good place to bowl but don't go on Saturday night. They make it extremely dark and they have these tracer lights going all over the place, making it very difficult to see the lanes. You can't see the arrows at all and the ball disappears when you throw it. Every bowling alley dims the lights at night but I've never been somewhere that they make it difficult to bowl before here.
I went with my nephew who has autism, and they offer a discounted rate for special needs children, and I don't know who was working, but he was awesome. After we bowled, we went to the arcade, and we only had 19 tickets which was not that much. And the guy working was so kind, he gave us more candy than tickets we had. So nice of him. I would definitely go back, and plan to ??
One of the most relaxing places I've been to. I really like the vibe. Their busy hours sometimes get hectic, but the seating situation has never been bad. Very spacious venue. I also like the cantina here. They have a pretty good selection. I can't quote the beers. I'm not sure if they've been cycled out of season. Good for drinking, but the vending machines are pricey.
My family had a blast
It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.
Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.
Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.
Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.
Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.
Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.
Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.
No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
