Used to love this place started going more because if u eat at Perkins Monday to Friday u get half off in the arcade it has to be same day though. But today I went in after eating to get the cards they only let us get 8 even though we had gotten 12 meals. She tried saying some bull about we can only do 8 max even though I had gotten 12 before. Their own website says one card per meal nothing about max amount. So after we spend the cards probably will not go anymore.

I absolutely love coming here! There are so many different activities to do ranging from an arcade, mini golf, laser tag, bumper cars, etc. It is definitely more of a kids place but can totally be fun for adults too. The staff are always super nice and helpful. The prices are extremely cheap.

Pleasant experience with the kids 10 & 13. They had so much fun collecting points and exchanging them for gifts. Met the lovely manager and her friendly staff. If you are looking for a cool place to spend time with the kids. This is the place!

This arcade is so awesome! They have tons of games, laser tag, bumper cars, mini golf with glow in the dark neon dinosaurs on the walls and a ball pit. Good time for kids and adults alike! Very affordable too. Also you can redeem your points/tickets for FROOTIES! WIN lol

Very heavy atmosphere and dirty. 3rd floor wasn't quite finished but it was clean. No security and a child easly could get lost . No open floor plan so you as a parent can't see your child if they stepped away from you.

I went in there with the family to play some games and while they had some very good titles and a good variety of different things including bumper cars and mini golf but only a few of them were operating. The Ballocity area is fun for the kids but is a separate charge. I'm hoping that I came in at a bad time and this is not a regular thing for them.

I've been there a couple of times. It's an ok place. The bumper cars area is super small. The games are a little expensive to play. The laser tag area is super fun and good size.

Checked it out with our 9yr old today. We weren't impressed with the prize zone, and the Lazer maze and bumper cars were closed. The soft play area was $6/hrs, which was not included on a play card, and it honestly didn't seem worth it. It also felt somewhat claustrophobic with the machines placed fairly close together and low-ish ceilings. We might go back, but we won't be in a hurry.

Excellent service! Kids (6 and 3) had lots of fun, the only thing is that you have to pay for every activity but affordable. Great place for rainy day!

A good time if it's a rainy summer day. We've been twice and it's a good 2 hours of entertainment. I do have to give a shout out to the girl who stuffed the stuffed animals last year, she was remarkable... This year, not so much. But let's be honest, how much is that poor girl getting paid to stuff stuffed animals in an arcade...

My 5 year old Absolutely Loves this place. He loves mini bowling down stairs and the Ball O City obstacle course play area. We try to bring hom at least once a week. We love the fact that they do half price ball o city passes on Tues and Thurs for Toddlers. Every time we go the staff is always great. They are always super friendly and great with the kids. They have a variety of arcade games to chose from and also bumper boats as well. They also have build a stuffy. They have small and large animals an

The kids did had a blast! There is a lot of games out of order, and the girl behind the counter was not very helpful. We had a group of 6 kids and she sold us 7 tickets knowing one of the children would have to go alone so he was a little upset about that (and surprise there's a no refunds policy on those tickets). Also we had to keep asking her questions about how things worked and she seemed just as lost as us. The paper on the counter was more helpful.

We were there two days ago (Wednesday). We travelled from Vermont for a fun overnight at the hotel for fun during out kid's vacation week from school. Champys was so fun for my 7 and 9 year old sons (and my older daughter too. I even tried lazer tag for the first time). It wasn't crowded during the day and they had a blast. The workers there were very pleasant. There were a few games that were out of order, but there were still plenty to play. The prizes for points were amazing compared to some pla

It was an awesome experience. The receptionist was attentive and courteous. The games were entertaining if a bit limited. And the artwork for the UV minigolf was absolutely phenomenal! 9 holes of indoor goodness

Meh, not great. The mini putt and the mini bowling were pretty cool, and the arcade was decent, but it was packed. And it looks better online. A lot of the games didn't work/were broken. It's kinda cramped and not as spacious as we anticipated. Another issue was kids running wild all over the place - but that's not a business issue - that's a parenting issue. Literally kids climbing all over the games when they definitely shouldn't have been. There were also a number of kids who would cut in and start playi

This place just gets better over time. Chucky cheese and this place have many things in common with each other. And it's not overpriced. You can definitely fit this into a budget no problem.

Always a fun time for the kids and it's not too expensive compared to other arcades in the area.

Sadly there are no active "go karts" here and have t been. In some time. This town is definitely missing an awesome go kart track. Would bring money to the area and surrounding restaurants and hotels if the right person creates one.

Be careful using your credit card here, they either have a chip reader or someone w/one stands inside the fun zone while ppl use there machine to purchase cards for their kids to use and then they access your bank info and steal your money. I spoke to someone about this and they were supposed to speak to their manager and call me back but no one has yet to try and reach out to me. Won't take my son here again.

I payed 400$ for my sons 1st birthday party and was treated like garbage. They gave us the party room for one hour we went a little over. As it's hard to do pizza, cake, presents in an hour with kids. They kicked us out of the room mid cleaning up. We had 1 hour at the pool, 20 mins into They stopped the pool for cleaning so we didn't get to do that. 2 of the workers demanded they had to stay in the room and watch us like we were being babysat. I payed 80 more dollars for extra kids who never came and they

I spent 2 hours in this arcade and yes many games and social distancing between other customers was amazing. Although all the girls that were working were very disrespectful and rude. Another associate I believe his name is Mark. Deserves 5 stars if I could just rate him, he was extremely nice and had helped us with any problems that were needed. The only bad part of this arcade is the girl staff that was there tonight, they deserve to be fired. Mumbling under there breath talking about costumers is uncalle

Fun for the kids, unfortunately, some things were out of order. I found it a bit pricey but it's nice that it's right in the hotel. My son and his friends had a blast.

My kids love this place, the water park, the arcade, the hotel rooms, the food, the nearby shopping... We try to go here every year during break. It is so worth it. Even if you don't stay the night at the hotel, you can visit the water park for the low price of $10 for the kids and parents go for free. There is typically 2 lifeguards on duty during the pools open hours. Changing rooms available, bathroom, towels. Great spot. Low price.

Fun place for all, no age limit (so older nerds like me there's no judgement in playing) putput course is blacklight so it's a cool light hearted experience. The bumper cars are fun and glittery. I wish the bowling game worked but not everything's perfect. Lazer tag is fun and awesome lay out. Restaurant and Hotel in the same building in case you were hungry and needed a break. Hotel lobby is clean and calm. Restaurant is great. Also would have been a awesome haunted house as well. I wish it was the size o

I love this little Arcade , not to many games, but enough , love the new laser tag! ( wish it was a little cheeper) Love the staff here too, they are so great with customer service and super friendly , and I especially love the fact that they keep a clean arcade! There is so much they offer though out the hole building and that makes everything nice too. Keep it up guys, your doing an awsome Job!

This place is absolutely great. Considering there isnt a whole lot to do in plattsburgh. This is a fun place to take the kids. My two had an absolute blast in the funzone/ballpit slide area. You have to pay $10 per person for 2hrs. But they didnt want to leave lol. They have an Arcade, bumper cars and a splash zone in the pool area. Recommend for this area

Some of the games weren't working, but the kids still had a great time. After they play and work up an appetite, we eat at Perkins !

My time at Champy's Fun City was extremely cut short by the confused and unhelpful staff. We had walked in and could not find the employee to help us for contact tracing. The crowd was unruly and there seemed to be virtually no crowd control or social distancing. We attempted to ask the manager how to play laser tag, but then we were told to take a number and we would be helped. They were currently on 38, my number was 61. We ended up walking out of the arcade with zero help from the staff.

Super cute place! The arcade attendant with long blonde hair we had today was super friendly and helpful. Bumper cars are super fun, the arcade is affordable, the prizes are great. Glow Mini golf is fun too!

It was crowded the day we went but my daughter had a great time! Im kinda surprised that it was almost 10 dollars for her to play in their ball pit/playzone but I do understand as if it were free, people would be coming in and just playing there and not paying for anything. All truth told, my daughter spent almost 2 hours in the play area and barely played any games. Im sure we will come back at some point when we are in Plattsburgh again.

Hi!! Champy?s Fun City is my favorite arcade to go to! I love the variety of games. Staff is very kind and prices are pretty cheap. Overall love it! ?

Nice place for a rainy or very hot day. Spent a few hours having a blast with my son. Everything we did was fun... Bowling, Lazer tag, Lazer maze, putt putt, and many games in the arcade!

Fun for the whole family, lots of variety in games and things to do. I love that the play cards never expire. It's easy to spend too much money here if you aren't careful.

Fun a lot of the games are closed, and unfortunately, they have ditched arcade coins for cards, but it was fun some good games and nice prizes.

We've had our Ausable Chasm Holiday Party with Plattsburgh Brewing Co for the past few years, each year we utilize the laser tag at Champys FunCity. I cannot recommend them enough. We always have a great time and the Champys staff makes it easy to have fun. Thanks Champy's we will see you next year!

Nice place but i spent 400 points on a Dog with a leash that doesnt work. I went back to the counter and was told i needed new batteries. Tried once back in canada and the toy just doesnt work. I would like a credit for next time

Great place for kids and adults, great games.

This place is great for all ages. Laser tag, mini golf, bumper cars, climbing play unit. Kept everyone happy for a number of hours.

Not as large as it looks. The variety of games is okay, nothing spectacular. But my boys had fun

Great place to have a birthday party. I have held 2 , party's for my daughter and have had no issues with the staff. The staff is very friendly and extremely helpful.

Not my old school arcade but still fun for new generation kids.

Great place for kids, but there's absolutely nothing for adults to do. It's be nice if there was a pool or a hot tub for us to relax and have fun in as well!

Cannot wait to go back!! The Lazer maze itself was a blast!

We all enjoyed the black light mini golf

The atmosphere is great games are fun! Staff is great! But again I find there prize selection minimal and bare..

Best place to go in the North Country if you have small ones! They got it all in one place and from what I read in a recent article, they got more!! Bumper cars, see ya real soon!

Good place to take the grandchildren

We go there every year new games fun times with the family

Who is very disrespectful at this arcade we stayed at the hotel that it is in and the manager on opening day let my children play for free in the playground and then on day two of our stay my children wanted to go back down the slides and they were told that it was $9.50 for the children to go down the slide again manager needs to stop letting children go for free and then charging them the second day and getting the kids going it makes it very difficult for parents to explain to their children why they can

We had my son's 5th birthday party here! It was amazing. I would recommend!

Do not come waste your money at this place ! Horrible experience, they rushed you out of the room before 1 hour , not organize , workers don't even know what is going on, and they even over charged you for things with out showing you breakdown of the bill ! Just crazy how this place is even open

Whole thing was a whirlwind, they were super helpful and very friendly and patient. Definitely do it again!

There's alot to do, arcade games, mini gold, kids indoor playground. It's just a little run down is all

Nice staff could use more employees. Kinda dark downstairs kid though it was a little smelly.

First time here. Totally worth it. My son and I had a blast. Definitely will be going back.

Two out of the three hours allowed at the indoor water park/pool - 12 yr boy entertained. Yeah!

Great for kids... Nice selection of arcade games and large ball pit area for the kids to play in.

Small but fun. Worth visiting with the kids if you are looking to burn an hour or so.

So much for children to do, clean , friendly and helpful staff. Great birthday party deals

So much for the kids to do, from bowling, glow in the dark mini golf, and the arcade

It's a great idea. However I wish they had more old-school arcade games for the adults.

Love taking my daughter we win alot she loves her tablet will go bk always ????

My son has a blast here. Lots to do friendly employees

Great place for kids to burn off energy. Some of the staff is friendly, some not so much.

Lots of fun and great deals for the guests of the hotel there or patrons of the restaurants on site.

Probably thr best arcade in town.

I've called and left 5 messages in the past 2 weeks with the manager looking for information and haven't received a response? I understand places get busy, but 2 weeks???

Best place with in 50+ miles to take the kiddos. We love it here...

Fun fun fun. Arcade games and laser tag. Great for kids and adults

On vacation and there's not much for my three year old to do. This hit the spot for a couple of hours.

There's so much to do here, and it's fun for all ages.

Hidden gem in Plattsburgh for the kids! They really should make themselves more known!

My friends and I had so much fun!

Great fun playing Lazer tag.

Several games were out of order. Limited games

Should be handicap accessible for people in wheelchairs

Always a fun time for the kids!

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s it like visiting an arcade today?

It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.

Is it better to go alone or with friends?

Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.

What should I bring to an arcade?

Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.

What’s the best time to visit an arcade?

Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.

Can I meet new people at arcades?

Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.

Are arcades still just for kids?

Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.

Are there events or tournaments I can join?

Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.

What if I’m not great at arcade games?

No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”

Why are arcade prize games so exciting to play?

Arcade prize games are a thrilling highlight in 2025! Claw machines, skee-ball, and ticket-redemption games like basketball offer a rush of skill and chance, with rewards like plushies, toys, or electronics up for grabs. Modern machines feature vibrant lights, digital scoreboards, and responsive controls, amplifying the fun. The lively arcade atmosphere, with cheering crowds and buzzing energy, makes every win feel epic.
