Century Bowl Been here many times. Decide to post a review. Clean. Quiet atmosphere. Nice workers. Great bar and kitchen. Decent arcade games. Updated system. No issues. Great place to bowl with family or school. Highly Recommended
Shouldn't be allowed to host high school regionals. Too small and they only use half of the place(2nd pic). Bowlers and coaches are cramped, spectators have ZERO room. $7 entry fee to top it off, it just doesn't make sense to allow a cramped place like this to host such a large event. Do better. #MHSAA
Nice bowling alley, friendly staff and the least expensive at $3.50 a game. Most up to date of the three bowling alleys I reviewed today. The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is the parking lot is very rough to roll a three ball bag across it and there is no ramp, otherwise this would be my preferred spot to bowl in the Waterford area.
Had no idea that Century Lanes had added traditional league-style ax throwing lanes in their bar area. We went today for only $20 per person for an hour of game play. Best price we've seen anywhere around. Patrick, the range manager was super easy going and friendly which was also a big plus. We had a great time and will definitely visit again soon! Recommend checking it out for sure.
My wife and I had a great time on Valentines Day axe throwing. We had good food and it was really inexpensive. We'll definately keep going back.
They are completely inconsistent. I have been told the last three time i could bring outside food in if the cafe is not open. So this time instead of pizza we got Chinese food. The guy said no came up to the table and only pizza..we have brought Chinese food before.. The prices suck. Open bowl started at 9 when we got a lane and paid people were still bowling from the league. The only reason this bowling alley is still around is because 300 has more league and can not host open bowl. This place exploites t
Keno was down again probably because the boss wasn't there so they unplug the Internet cable to the box so they don't have to run slips.
1 reason only for 3 stars during the team regionals they put evey team, every coach, every parent, every siblings, every friend etc.. in half the bowling ally. Everyone stuck in the 1st 26 out of the 52 lanes. Really. Really. You can do better then this. People and schools are paying good money so open up all the lanes so theses young sports athletes can enjoy the event will you. Now the regionals individuals the very next day was all open all 52 lanes and soooooo much better.
Fun lanes, never really buissy and very low price. The oil wasn't too consistent, so if you have a hook, then it's not the best. But it still had good food and great service.
An older facility, but a good house. Well maintained and clean! A good place to bowl and take the family
These lanes are not well taken care of, very inconsistent oil patterns. Terrible customer service. The manager is constantly online gambling playing poker on his iPad.
Everything was great service atmosphere had a good time
Have been coming here for over 3 years for bowling league and have had the best experience. Great prices on food, drinks, and bowling. All the staff are very friendly and know their regulars well. Would different recommend coming and trying this place if you have not already.
Old school bowling as it should be. No frills or extras expected. Great service and clean facility. There are bowling dinosaurs to help kids get the ball down the lane. Plenty of comfort food options and a reasonably-priced bar.
Great Family Fun! Call ahead of time, for Open bowling hours. Clean facility and Great Food! Mostly Young adults Running the floor and Kitchen but very friendly and prompt!
Pizza and bead sticks, food is good . Lanes are a little slick ???? new ticket arcade is awesome, cheap bar too with a lot of special drinks.
Had a great time with the family! The pizza was delicious and the place was clean. All the Employees were very nice. Great job!
Such a fun place. Between The gameroom, bowling and the option of axe throwing plenty of things to do had a blast
Came here for Junior Gold Championship. Bowling alley was great for practice session. Come back for qualifying and it's hot as all get out, have signs on vending machines that say out of order, however they were still working as I used it. Of course water cost more at the counter than the vending machine. Seemed shady to make it hotter in building so more would need to buy drinks. My son actually got sick and dehydrated. This is one place I hope to never come back to
This bowling alley had the CLEANEST bathrooms when we visited! The food was pretty good, and a group of small children managed to score all the bowling balls under 10lbs, but honestly, they're kids - it's cool. :) The facility was well lit, clean, and didn't have any weird grimy smells like a lot of other bowling alleys. Overall, awesome experience, reasonable prices, a ton of lanes, and we had a great date night here.
Friendly staff. Clean facility. Would definitely recommend for families
Lazy Grill is what it should be called. Employees are nonchalant and look like they don't care. They feed their own before the customers? and be prepared to wait at least 45 minutes for a simple order if the employees are hungry also.
Had a birthday party there tonight in the private room. A issue came up and 3 of the staff members handled it as soon as it came about. Very personal and great host. All 3 were men who worked there on 3/31! Thank you to the STAFF. You all were AMAZING. Highly recommend y?all 3 for any event up there
Our first time here, but definitely not the last! Prices are good and staff is friendly. The group next to us got pizza and it looked and smelled so good we had to get some too. It was super cheesy and good. We had a great time.
The guy who works in the pro shop is awesome. Super helpful and honest. They were very busy and he still took the time to talk with us about purchasing our first bowling ball and drilling it properly.
I've never had a bad time at Century, it feels like home every time I walk through those doors!
The place was kind of quiet being a weekday afternoon. It was pleasant enough. We went there to use some coupons the kids got from school. It would've been better if the snack bar was open. The kids were hungry and we didn't have too much cash on hand for the vending machines. The equipment such as score keeper, ball return, etc. was all in working order. There was a good variety of in house balls on hand. The shoes were all in good condition. The place was clean although I didn't visit the restroom. There
Looking for a fun-filled time in the heart of Waterford (Water-tucky), MI? Look no further than Century Lanes! This iconic bowling alley has been a local favorite for years, and it's easy to see why. From the moment you step inside, you're greeted with the warm smiles of the incredible staff who make every visit feel like a family reunion. Whether you're a seasoned pro or just starting out, Century Lanes offers lanes for every skill level, ensuring that everyone can enjoy a strike-tastic time! But wait, t
If you like bowling, look no further, because they have that here. Try the superman shots.
Can't say you've lived in Waterford unless you've been to Century. Every single person I know has been here and still comes back. Great prices and extremely clean. Always a fun time! Recommended to all my friends and family members
Great place. Very clean and modern. My son said their pizza was the best he ever had. Get the nachos too! Alleys were nice with easy to use electronic scoring. Good selection of balls.
I give them 1 star based on the food. We ordered 2 no bun burgers and took them almost an hr because every time a server came with a ticket they pushed my order back. I was very disappointed. The lanes and staff that help us get set up get a 4/5 they were pretty good and kind.
Clean, the staff is really friendly. The arcade is great and the place is nice, our new go to place for bowling!
The staff was very friendly, and it seemed to be a nice chill spot for friends/ families. Also the bar didn't water down their drinks.
This bowling alley is a joke. Worst customer service I have ever seen. I called 2 weeks prior and booked lanes for 10 people. I had won a prize to use at Century Bowl for bowling for 10 people, that their own employee at the time gave me. Got there on the Sunday I booked. Girl behind the counter seemed annoyed we were even there, and I only had 6 people. She started to finally help me, but decided to answer the phone and talk with the person for about 10 minutes before even coming back to me. She looked at
Good lanes.... Little oily on a laminate.. But that lane condition doesn't suit me.... Other than that....decent service and the food is slightly above average. The bar is clean but needs more patrons.. Hard to review under recent lockdowns
Our Oakland County Civil Air Patrol Composite Squadron appreciated the last minute accommodation for us to come bowl. You guys ROCK!!!!!!!
Good prices i recommend this place
Went here tonight on a Sunday. Griffin who was behind the counter was a little rude at first? I don't know if it was a bad night or what. 3 games in I got an emergency phone call I had to answer so since I was wearing house shoes I walked into there closed dance looking area where it was quiet so I didn't have to walk outside and get the bowling shoes wet. 3 minutes later here comes griffin telling me I can't be in there and I need to get out now now exceptions. I explained why I was in there and if I coul
Bowling alley pizza and breadsticks fit what was expected. Had a very good experience for the ten of us. 65 year age span. Later the first timer and others commented that they want to do it again.
This place is some of the best bowling around. They have lots of deals throughout the week to cater to everyone's needs. It's on the more inexpensive side, but it's a great place. It's kept very clean! There are bowling balls of all sizes available, and the interface of the tablets is easy to use. The staff is always friendly and helpful. I've never had the food there, but it always smells great!
Employees are friendly; and it is clean. the bathrooms are always clean. They also have a nice size arcade game room. We always have fun.
Have been here multiple times. Lanes are good and prices are decent. My only problem is the food. It tastes great but I've gotten sick now multiple times. Went last night and have been in and out of the bathroom with the runs majorly nearly 11 times today. (Not exaggerating) will be back for the bowling but will no longer be eating their food.
This review is about the bar area. My friend and I went there for a couple of drinks and to shoot darts. Most of the boards were down and they didn't take dollars and no coin machines were there, so I had to get change at the bar. Also service at the bar was slow. Took me 10min or more to get a beer and couldn't get served at the table or bar. Every time my table needed a drink, I had to leave the table or bar, stand in the area in front of the door and wait for service.
Awful. Guy at the desk was rude and highly unprofessional. Was obviously put off by the rather large group we brought. Sorry about bringing business guy. Never asked if we needed shoes, charged us for them, made it seem like it was my fault for not saying I didn't need shoes. Asked my friend if she was a man or a woman and said he ?doesn't want to assume nowadays? which I guess i get, but I mean come one. You don't say that. The lanes were terrible also. Didn't work properly. Kept having to fix scores. All
First time I went there for a friend's birthday and it was amazing. When the lights are dim down and the beautiful lights lite up, it gets more fun, the kids love the glow, even the table had glowing star decoration too. Second time, we actually stay a little longer and order pizza, delicious. There's a little arcade too. For the first time, this little girl gave me her extra tickets that she didn't needed, sweetest thing ever, just so adorable. Me and my family enjoy the hockey puck table, haha it can get
Great place and atmosphere. The bowling teams are fun so if you can get in with one it's highly encouraged. I'm not a bowler but had a good time with the people around me. Your experience here is what you make it and the staff helps to make it a good one.
My granddaughter celebrated her 10th birthday at Century Bowl. It was a complete success. The staff was very helpful, especially Asia, who was on top of everything we might need. We had great pizza and pop. I would recommend Century Bowl to any family planning a children's party. Also, I found the cost very reasonable and fair.
Nice big bowling alley. The temperature was great. Plenty of sitting space. The bathrooms were clean. It does serve food. Its all visually pleasing. Was easy to see from the road.
Good evening deals, games ranging from 1.49 to 1.99 each is a really good price. The place could stand to clean up a bit more though, the table we were set at hadn't been cleaned before we were put there which was a shame.
Great atmosphere and very nice staff. Good lanes and mostly new house balls, great place to take the family.
My family goes there often and we've always enjoyed ourselves,
My grandsons birthday party. Lots of pizza and pop for everyone. Everyone bowled and had fun. The bowling alley as an arcade game room and the older kids enjoyed that. We bought the cake and ice cream. When it was time the alley attendants brought it out and they supplied the playes and silverware. Everything was fine.
I would have loved this experience except I (stupidly) didn't wear a knee brace & dislocated my knee cap on the first ball. ?? I endured the pain & continued bowling, albeit less vigorously. This was the beginning of r family Easter get together & we had a great time! The staff was great w the little ones & even had a special contraption to help them bowl!
This was the hottest place of all the bowling and the lanes kept breaking down and there was not enough setting are for the parents to watch there kids bowl they have a major tournament in and they are closing the snack bar down at 9:30 pm it was the worst one and I rate it a zero even though I have to give it a1 to post it
Bowled for the 1st time in 10 years. Price was right and lanes were great. Would've had a perfect 300 game it it wasn't for my 8 open frames..Good Times!!!!
Went bowling and we were having a great time until midway our third game it said that we were done. Went up to the front desk and they said that we didn't pay for 3 games and 4 people. We payed! They charged us to finish our game on top of that and the lane cut us off again! Never coming back.
It could have been a little bit cleaner and a little more friendly
I'm very startled that I have to make this claim, I would give this center a zero if I could. My son, Andrew was recently in. Andrew happens to have forearm tissue dysmorphia, a condition which makes his throwing arm very weak which causes him to use a lighter ball. After a game of using a ball which I believe was around 10-12 Andrew decided to go for the lighter ball which I believe was 8. After 3 frames the worker approached my son in a very rude manner and startled my son by yelling he cannot use a light
Customer service a li questionable. We were placed on a list and wait was 30 mins. Noone ever came and got us, list ended still no call. Bowling experience was legit and they have delishes water lol
i bowl here at century every saturday morning on the strike force youth league. century is absolutely my favorite place to be. the staff is encouraging and helpful, and they make the experience 10 times better. the ladies and gents do a phenomenal job behind the snack bar as well. coach ken is the greatest ? his sense of humor always manages to make me feel better when i?m bowling poorly and i couldn't ask for a better head coach. jennifer is one of the sweetest ladies i have ever met and she has been there
Awesome get together with cool lighting.(lol). Nice friendly ppl. Great bowling atmosphere.. Even better after bowling with friends in the beverage area. Not much of a drinker Iam, but the ppl are well behaved. Dec would recommend a sat with the kids or summer time activity!!
This seems like an upscale alley. Staff is very helpful and professional, facility is clean and well maintained. Snack bar, bar and arcade areas. First visit very positive experience
Decent bowling alley. Computers are easy to set up, the lanes are nice, and it is always clean. Employees can be questionable sometimes. Overall nice place that runs affordable deals on open bowling depending on when you go.
Fun place to bowl and socialize. Some are better bowlers than others and there are good condition shoes to rent and plenty of house bowling balls to use for bowlers like me who bowl occasionally. Lane and controls are in good condition with a snack bar and bar for adult beverages. Fun date night activities. Also there is an arcade.
Great venue to host the MHSAA state bowling tournament. Could use a bit more concourse area but overall good spot. The machines seemed to work without and staff was friendly.
Equipment was updated. Staff was very helpful and very nice. I've always loved going here and still do
The lady was great and helpful, however the guy with the blonde hair who was pissed he had to work and had an attitude any time we asked him for help with bumpers for our 6 year old daughte, we were on a plane that didn't have them, but didn't inform us there was another thing she could use to help, the blonde guy needs to deal with customers correctly and drop that nasty attitude was not happy with his service.
Haven't been bowling in years but had a great time. Worker was kind enough to let us finish our games. Would have given 5 stars but one crotchity older chuck yelled at our kids for something small
Best bowling alley in town, I've been bowling here my whole life and have been consistently in leauge there for the last year. Be respectful and you will be respected!
Good atmosphere, decent location. I like to come here and play darts and grab a few drinks with some friends. Could use an update but what bowing alley couldn't?
A bit outdated, but everything works. The only real bummer is they advertise axe throwing and have the area for it, but according to employees it's never open and they have no idea when or if it ever will be. Beer is pretty pricy too but that is pretty common for bowling alleys.
Nice place, had good time. We went on a weekday and it was totally uncrowded and cool.
Here for a birthday party. Possibly the best time ever. Thank you so much for such a wonderful day. Bowling, food, drinks great memories were had by everyone.
A little more pricier than Airway most nights but the lanes here are often better; at least for how I bowl. The staff are often wonderful as well. Probably the best lanes in Waterford, if that says anything.
Great fun but shoes or lane a little sticky
Was in town for the USBC MI State Bowling Tournament. Great staff, nice facility but was disappointed that there was no waitstaff during this event. During bowling, bowlers are not going to want to be running around for food, drinks, etc. Other than that, had a great time there.
Great food, nice staff. Jennifer the manager helped me make my son's birthday special. She is outstanding.
It had been years since I've gone there....it was clean, and new arcade. The food was fantastic!!! The burger was out of this world.....
Bowling is fine. Replace the juke box. The music is terrible now. You're forced to listen to country. It was great when people could request, even if it was for money.
My favorite bowling place. The atmosphere is fun & so nostalgic.
This place is great! Friendly helpful staff. From 8 till 11 sunday nights you can bowl as much as you want for $7. Cant beat that.
Axe throwing was fun. Bowling was busy. Might have to wait. Bar was struggling to keep up. Overall great time.
Love this place. Great place to go bowling and the kids I nanny love it. Love that it's a good kid friendly place with bumpers and rolling ramps available for kids. Makes bowling a fun experience for them. We will be back!
Amazing customer service. Very nice and polite and waited on the rest of my party to show up before they stared my bowl
Very nice spot to chill, friendly professional staff. All can enjoy and not break the bank. Nice Lil gem in Waterford ??
My son and daughter in law had some birthdays for their kids there, we had a room for ourselves and the pizza and the Pepsi was great!@
It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.
Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.
Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.
Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.
Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.
Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.
Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.
No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
Arcade prize games are a thrilling highlight in 2025! Claw machines, skee-ball, and ticket-redemption games like basketball offer a rush of skill and chance, with rewards like plushies, toys, or electronics up for grabs. Modern machines feature vibrant lights, digital scoreboards, and responsive controls, amplifying the fun. The lively arcade atmosphere, with cheering crowds and buzzing energy, makes every win feel epic.
