Katie at the desk is really good. She can be helping new guests with getting lanes and seeing a current lane go down. Calls for immediate assistance to make sure everything runs smoothly. Very impressed with her quick thinking and multitasking. She always has a smile and very nice
Food was bad, funnel cake(fried fries) werent good, bowling made pookie wookie mad, (shes scary) i can never win, im too bad, they should make the games easier, clawy machines dont do what i want then to do, bowling balls broke my pookies balls(accidentally threw bowling ball backwards) #alltheirfault I hate this place. Note to self: be better
It was very cold by the food counter and the lounge. They need better seating for tournaments. Those big bricks make it hard to watch the bowlers. Should have a trash can by the straws instead of having to search for one.
The lanes are needing repair and maintenance. The staff is great. The gaming area is good and busy. They do much for the community.
So fun! Great food, atmosphere and customer service!
Needs to attend their machines more. My bowling ball gets stuck all the time and nobody monitors the machines at all times
Fun place. The remodeling and addition of arcade is really nice. Employees have always been friendly and helpful. Cant share anything about the food, tho. I dont have an income that can accommodate 2 sodas that total $10+. Everything on the menu is disproportionately high. So we know we better not go hungry or thirsty. It does take away from the "night out" experience, and we tend to leave earlier than we would have normally. It's still a good place to go, tho.
Amazing place! Bowling was so cheap we played 3 games with 4 people! Staff was so nice and accommodating! Outside food and drinks aren't allowed so just remember that, however, they do have a place inside to get snacks and drinks so no worries! Also has an arcade and a movie theater! Like seriously how much cooler could it get!
Bowling was pretty good. One of the workers (skinny guy with long hair) was quite rude to us. Sounds like he's just tired or hates working there. Went to bowling and accidently dropped the ball. And he came over and told me that I need to behave better. Was told the wait was 30 minutes for food. So I ordered it before the game. Got done with my game of ONE HOUR and still didn't have any food. Came to the cashier and found it sitting by the fryer. Really not happy with the whole experience. Start looking for
If you got new employees this place would be awesome! They closed 30 min early and after asking why, the guy can't even give an answer (they close at 10 btw) I played a game of bowling and the guy took 10 min to actually come help us, like really you looked at us the whole time. When he finally did help us he was so rude!!!! We come in so much that you would think they would be nice, nope. Even if you try to order food, the lady is impatient and rude as heck. You filled out the application not us, at least
Tried 4 different pairs of shoes, all of them stuck to the floor and didn't slide. Asked for a refund before even bowling. Very disgruntled girl working the counter. Said maybe I should just buy my own shoes.
During the summer there is free bowling for kids, definitely talk to them about this great deal.
Good bowling place, they have a decent arcade, pretty good food, the food isn't good enough to be 6000 dollars though. The bowling balls are suprisingly not greasy at all! A great place to hang out with your friends, or your mom, if your a loser, just kidding hanging out with your mom is cool, take it from me!
The bartender who's name I think was Brittany was amazing. She took care of my every need. I think she deserves a raise for how hard she works to take care of her customers. I will definitely be back soon.
At an event there a person in my party rolled a ball slow and it got stuck and the land had a safety feature to where it shut off. I politely asked the manger to fix it for us and he refused saying we were messing around and that we were kicked out. Before leaving I bowled one more bowl and the manger came over and cussed me out and escorted us outside and the pushed me in the parking lot.
Have done a great job adding more arcade, mini golf, and vr. Place is kept clean and never had a problem. Always a good time.
We went last week and the guy working wasn't very nice. He wasn't very helpful. Today we went bowling and the people working today were amazing!!!! They were so helpful and so nice!!
Karaoke here is not the greatest. The KJ likes to hear himself (and his employees) more than the patrons. So be prepared for a wait in the queue. Drinks are domestic and the high top bar can be comfortable. Pool tables in the back. It's just an average hole in the wall with bowling and a movie theater attached. Don't expect much.
Great for family fun or to go out for drinks. They have karaoke at 9pm on friday nights. Not sure if its every friday or not. Only down side is that if you need to use the restroom you have to go into the bowling alley part. The bar doesn't have it's own restroom.
Had several visits there where management was very aggressive. After bowling 12 games and just about only one there spending money. He shut my lane down because my motorcycle was parked in bike rack. Feb 9 2022......rudest staff. All ways feel like walking on glass. Totally act like inconvience to do thier job. Bald 4 eyes is aggressive and argumentive. Kicked me out for life he says .....because I said I love my dog more than I like him. That's shallow. Only 3 people bowling 2 got kicked out. Cause our ba
I had a great time here. I'll definitely be back!
Good drinks and a little fun
I love being at the bowling alley and the new arcade is the most fun place in Norfolk now. We really needed it so thx. And the staff are so nice and food is great especially the chicken bacon ranch pizza
Unbelievable. Narrow minded, backwards, and inflexible hardly sums up our experience with the staff at this bowling ally. My 11yo daughter (who weighs 50lbs & 1% on the growth chart) was told 1.). She could not have anything lighter than a 9# ball and she was NOT allowed to add rails to bowl. I was told ?only if she has special needs.? Fine. So she does. Then I was told I had to bring her up to the counter and tell her, in front of the staff, how she qualified with special needs disability. Are you
On 12-17 around 6:15 I was at the bar and the lady bartender seen me then she decides to go help someone else then she done with her and goes to another person then she done with her and decides to go with the person besides me like are you serious!! Terrible service with her!!
Needs more seating, went to the High School bowling tournament. As a senior citizen several of us had to stand during the entire tournament.
Had a great time. Very friendly staff and the place was very clean and well maintained. It was also very reasonably priced. $16.99 and hour for the lane seemed very reasonable.
I pretty much stick to the arcades. They are however really well maintained. I have always had polite service when needed.
I went up there to bowl and saw something i wanted to buy from their little shop. One of the guys that works there said to come back aT 630 because that when it will be open. We waited 2 and a half hours and came back and said we had to come back thursday bc thats when they are open again! THANK YOU FOR WASTING MY DAMN TIME
Friendly professional staff reasonably priced and excellent service! I had a great time ! I would give this place my highest recommendation for fun with friends and family!
Good lanes, modern score keeping machines that are user friendly. Good staff, n food. Large house ball selection. Had a great first experience with King's Lanes
Nice bowling ally with accommodating staff. The bar has pool tables, darts, and kareoke on certain nights. They usually have some newer beers on tap as well.
Spare me .... This place is not where you want to go, if you want to go bowling. Pins falling all the time had to re-rack 15 times in two games. Lane kept shutting itself off. The score keep was incorrect. Nothing but problems Not worth the time or money.. Stay away
The staff was extremely rude. When we accidentally stepped over the line they threatened to kick us out. They shut off our game 20 minutes before 12. Would not recommend coming here.
Very fun for children and not too bad of a time for adults either. That's if you're only playing the games. Going bowling fun for the whole family!!!
The food was good people where ok kitchen was little slow and I ordered a combo but they for got to make it a combo i think if u order any drink size u should get refills for a discounted price instead of paying full price for a refill
I have always loved King's lanes! Everyone always has a smile on their face! They are doing a great job right now with reopening and following the guidelines due to covid 19.
Good family fun!! Food service is a little slow, but the food was great! We enjoy getting the family together at King's Lanes.
They are a great place to go for bowling or to the movies. Will definitely come here again.
This bowling alley is tops! The equipment is new and functions very well, the premises are clean and pleasant. I would recommend this place highly for a family outing.
it's a great place to bring the kids. Burn off some of that energy and have a greatdate night with your husband
I love Dani ?? best bartender around. Always takes care of me even when she's busy!
Friendly staff, great arcade with foosball table, pizza is really good the walking tacos too we have so much fun, nice environment!!!
Nice place. Not a fan of the age 10 cut off for bumpers tho. Should go by experience. Very clean.
Thought the staff was rude... However fun place to take your kiddos to. Food was Great!
Terrible service, we went their at 7:00pm and told us to come back at 10 even though No one was using the lanes. Once we bowled we had to reset the pin spotter 15 times. It also didn't keep the score right the entire game. Also the lanes had too much oil to bowl at all
Bowling is always fun but now that they have virtual reality games to play and a full arcade it's a great place to go!
One of the main recreational spots in town, and it is family friendly! You can catch a movie and do a game as well for date night!
It is awesome we had so much fun even though I always lose it is so fun I found out a boy liked me there it is awesome.
It was a nice and clean place to take the family to...Friendly people...Good atmosphere to hang out in...
literally the worst bowling alley I've ever been at. We had to reset our pinspotter every single time we went up to bowl. But won 500 tickets from the arcade.
Great place to take the kids and go bowling. A little on the expensive side and not very updated. Also just a little tiny arcade which is great
Family fun place full of fun ways to blow through your wad of cash??
Pretty good time with the arcade and cheaper drinks. Employees were a bit stiff but didn't kill the vibe.
Couldn't figure out why but I had some problems with the rental shoes. Couldn't slide in them very well. Fell a couple times, lol.
Good, sober fun bowling. Service was good. Ticket games were also very fun. Food is overpriced.
Fun place to go with the family. Food kinda expensive. But always have a good family experience.
Rudest bartender I have ever had the misfortune of dealing with. She acted like it was an inconvenience to serve drinks.
Family fun all around.
Desk attendant extremely rude rolled eyes at me and plus idek like bowling but the game room was dope I love the air hockey!
Bowling was great. I recommend paying for bowling games not hourly rate.
Great people who are very helpful, huge selection of balls and weights, good food, decent pricing, recommend movie and bowling pack
Lanes were oily ball return slow. One year later the lanes have improved dramatically always had great service and great customer service.
I went there because the kids wanted to go there family was visiting from Colorado I didn't stay long so I can't give you a good rating
The manager is great the place is always very clean it is a pleasure to bowl there
Great place to take the kids or just a fun night out with friends ??
Not much competition around (for about 100 miles). Nice place though, pool tables, air hockey, foosball, bar, bar food, movie theater, and about 30 lanes
A very nice well kept bowling alley, lots to do and a great atmosphere!
Great bowling alley! Prices are fair and the game is always fun. People can be very lively.
Fun time, just the person working didnt know how to removed a player from the score card and wasted 10 minutes of our bowling time.
Place was full, but nice to see family's out having fun again.
Love the Kings Treasure, games are super fun for kids and adults. Prizes are really great as well.
Much lit fam yo bruv 420 blaze it check the place out. Play the fishing game and get the bottom fish easiest 1500 points ever GLHF
Awesome center with great people! Enjoyed my time spent there and would recommend it to others!
Great bowling and the new arcade is WAY more fun then i thought it would be. Will be going again soon.
Super! It was great to bowl in a nice alley! Lots of nice peopele. Nice place.
You can bowl, see a movie, get some good grub, or take your family on a fun game night.
Awesome atmosphere and could use a face-lift bit prices are fair
The new arcade is awesome. All new games, a new prize area. Looks really for for all ages
A great place to have fun with the kids. Friendly staff.
Karaoke is way too loud to have a conversation in the bar. Bartender?s customer service was extremely poor.
My daughter loved it I loved it , great place to bring family and friends
Thank you for hosting. Very well done. Food good and fresh.
Family loves to get together for a couple of hours and hang out, always a great time.
The arcade has improved 1000%. Kids love it
Great place to go bowling.. and for kids birthday parties.. cosmic bowling..nice place also for company parties..
It was ok but the concession stand was ridiculous! 45 minutes for fries???
It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.
Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.
Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.
Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.
Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.
Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.
Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.
No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
Yes, virtual reality (VR) games in arcades are a top attraction in 2025! Titles like Beat Saber and Half-Life: Alyx deliver immersive thrills with cutting-edge headsets, motion tracking, and responsive controllers. High-resolution displays and spatial audio create heart-pounding experiences, from slashing rhythms to battling zombies. Arcades feature multiplayer VR zones and tournaments, fostering lively communities. VR booths are regularly packed, proving their captivating, next-level gameplay makes them a must-try arcade experience.
Arcade prize games are a thrilling highlight in 2025! Claw machines, skee-ball, and ticket-redemption games like basketball offer a rush of skill and chance, with rewards like plushies, toys, or electronics up for grabs. Modern machines feature vibrant lights, digital scoreboards, and responsive controls, amplifying the fun. The lively arcade atmosphere, with cheering crowds and buzzing energy, makes every win feel epic.
