They have Mortal Kombat! One of my personal classic favorite fighting game and I get to still experience it in the 2024 era. Somehow I couldn't choose my main character Mileena but still it was really fun to play in arcade experience. Ive won a plushie doll for my girlfriend so great job on the winning machine and they have a dancing game like DDR but its not really the same company. Overall it was really fun.
So much fun here! The verity of arcade games is amazing! There's something for everyone. The only downside is it is a little pricey and we though we had earned a good amount of rewards when it turned out we only had earned 74 ?? after being there over an hour. Still had a great time! Extra star because they still have the original Tron game!!!
Fun time, went around 7pm last night and it wasn't really crowded. Got easy street parking, usually money goes quick. But last night points actually lasted a while. I loaded $20 and my husband and I were able to play games for a bit. We recharged a few times and ended up staying over an hour. Collected enough points for a big stuffed prize in the shop. We never have enough points for anything in the past.
Place to have fun with the loved ones. Relived your Childhood fun in these arcade games and also win some plushies
Pretty good for kids, but be ready to drop some money. The games are pretty well kept and the card system avoids all the problems of keeping up with tickets, but still rewarding the kids. Like most arcades, it is a bit dark and dirty, but you can see they are trying harder due to the pandemic.
Dig the Casino Arcade! Perfect day at the arcade. New games. Rainbow friendly. Super clean. Wheelchair accessible. We love this arcade. Grandsons are were diggin the play on the newer games. This arcade is at the south end of the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk. Open from 11 - 9. Laser Tag, Mario Cart, Star Wars, Pac Man, Jurassic Park, Halo tons of others! Using loaded cards - track your tickets too! Small snack bar inside with popcorn drinks pizza! Either door leads to Boardwalk or Beach! Perfect time to be a
Had a blast. So many games so little time!! We ended up sitting this place down. The world's biggest pac man to air hockey to pinball to everything that makes an arcade with visiting. Don't pass this place up.
I went here in February, and I loved it just so many games to play! The prizes are good, too!
The kids had a lot of fun. I have stage 4 colon cancer. I just want to make this a memorable summer for the kids. This is the right place to create memories with your kids...
So much fun and so many games! It's completely packed with so many games for adults and children. But remember its always crowded and loud!
Been coming here for years and it never disappoints. You know they have a bunch of people coming here but the games are always functional. The best thing is the PRIZE ROOM! They have really great prizes and you get a good value for your money. Don't forget to grab a funnel cake on your way out!
Love the arcade only thing I didnt like some of the machines didnt work besides that has restrooms, snacks and prices for playing I liked that is open even though boardwalk not open
Not that many games and the prizes are pretty expensive but it was a fun experience
Went on a Monday in the late afternoon and it wasn't too busy. Old school arcade games .25 and go up to $7 for some of the newer games. $8 for Lazer tag where the whole family (kids 9 and 11) had a blast.
My girls had a blast and it was worth the money! Staff is super friendly.
Great place to hang around and play arcade games. Very comfortable place, with restrooms, bars, restaurants, and the beach surrounding it
No pinball. :( (should have 3 or more) Mostly big redemption games. Not a fan of violent modern shooting games. it does have the cool old western shooting gallery that hasn't changed in 50 years
We love Santa Cruz! Great fun for all ages!
Lots of video games in this arcade on the Santa Cruz Boardwalk. Kids liked playing air hockey.
Had a lot of fun there with some young friends
We had a great time here..Lots of stuff for kids and adults..We did spend Alot of money here but got tickets to purchase lots of souvenirs ..highly recommend
The fun never gets old and it only stops when the power shuts down for the night. Years spent making memories here. From students, friends, my children, and loved ones I have enjoyed each and every experience as it has been absolutely filled with joy and laughter.
It's fun but should give more points for when you put 5$ to play or more I understand 1$
Huge arcade. The selection of games was very impressive . Be aware that kids can spend a lot of money in a short period of time. However, they really enjoyed it.
It was amazing, it had a very food collection of game and mini golf course
Unprofessional and Disrespectful Supervisor Ruins Arcade Experience I recently had the unfortunate experience of encountering the most appalling supervisor at an arcade place. This individual, who conveniently remained nameless and without an employee number, managed to single-handedly ruin what should have been an enjoyable outing. From the moment I stepped foot into the establishment, it was clear that customer service was not a priority for this supervisor. Their behavior was nothing short of rude, dis
Funny how they called it a casino, but there are no actual casino machines haha. Anyways, this is basically an arcade that is inside Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk. They have plentiful of good games to play like those arcade and claw machines. Prices of each machines are much reasonable here compared to other arcade areas like Round3. It could be the quality of those machines, but they don't seem bad tbh. My favorite one is usually the one that has basketball hoops. To play the games, you need a Santa Cruz Be
This place has a combination of old and new games; honestly, I am a fan of the vintage games because anything before the 2010s is beautiful. I never get a chance to play older games as a child, but I am hoping to come back and experience the old-fashioned arcade machines before they're replaced.
I recently visited Casino Arcade, and my experience was incredibly disappointing. The customer service was abysmal, with staff members showing a complete lack of interest in assisting customers. Communication was virtually nonexistent, leaving me frustrated and uninformed throughout my visit. I would not recommend this establishment to anyone seeking an enjoyable gaming experience.
Still a nice arcade but alot of down games you can't play
The ticket exchange,is actually worth it! I got me a big CareBear! Grumpy Bear...
"Normal" arcade. The Airhockey for only $1 is a great deal though. Definitely the best way to spend your money. They sadly also switched to the card system and removed all types of tickets and quarters :(
Since Dave and Busters is so far away, this arcade is the best and most convenient in Santa Cruz. My absolute favorites are the pinball games. I hope they never take them out! There are many of the same games that you would find at Dave and Busters. Their cards/cashless games make it so easy to just charge and go. Definitely recommend
It is perfect for 6 year olds and up who love video games.
Fun place, lively but never super busy that you have to wait too long to get any game. Good selection of games plenty of kid friendly, and plenty of mature games too! Reasonable rates, and I really love the pinball machines they got currently, beautifully built.
The arcades are nice and they have current games and old classics. Everything is kept up for the most part. And when games do mess up the staff is pretty good at helping out. Laser tag was tons of fun. Just a bit warm up in the arena. We also played a round of mini golf, and wow it is such a nice indoor course. Winner winner chicken dinner!!!
Always love this place. Even though the coin pusher machines were half-way working, most of the employees were newly trained and said things like "I'm not sure how to call game maintenance." But it's completely understandable as we are coming off a deadly pandemic. But otherwise, this place is a perfect getaway from the boardwalk masses (even if dorky kids make try to steal your coin pusher SpongeBob Cards.)
Pretty good: no ticket machine overload (good in my book), a fair number of classic and 90s games in OK working order considering the crowd, and a nice mix of newer arcade titles (Walking Dead, etc) that are a good time. The place is big, even during peak season on weekends we could get in and have fun with the games. Hours are long and flexible on weekend and Fridays. Didn't love: prepaid cards, machine wouldn't take my Amex, tickets required for the junk redemption left small children feeling like t
So much fun, and so many games to choose from! Kind of miss hauling around my sticky cup of game tokens, but love knowing the same level of respect lives here as it did when I was a child.
So expensive! We spent about $20 in an hour. A lot of the games were also down. Which wouldn't feel like such a rip-off if the prizes weren't also expensive. Or if you could use your tickets for more games. I mean, I know it's a tourist trap, but c'mon... $1 for a 60 second shooting game? For 3 minutes on a driving game? Seems a bit much. Three starts are pretty much just for the employees, who were very nice and friendly.
Many games are defective/non functional. Multiple games took my money but didn't start. When I asked for assistance I was told that a refund wasn't possible. There were a lot of frustrated people waiting at the front desk for a manager who took forever to arrive so we weren't the only people who were having issues with the machines. The games that worked were fun.
No help, bad service. All posted hours on website are wrong. If there's a high jackpot on a game they will say it's out of order, everyone knows that's not true. All you Have to do is just pull off the yellow and black tape off of the coin slot and put your coins in the machine that's the boardwalks trick to pull money from Tourists. Also you can use your leftover tokens to pay for extra time at your parking meter, It works just the same.
There is nice toys but some of them tricky. And prizes are so high
Best beach arcade and funhouse! Something for everyone of every age to do rain or shine. Having been here my whole life, I have great childhood memories of me and my cousins playing here. Now my children have the similar memories. The indoor miniature golf is the best I've ever played!
The boardwalk card is the best way to pay for all the games. You can use it for rides and boardwalk games also. Lots of ways to earn tickets, but all the best prizes are thousands of tickets. So I suggest just going to the coin drop machines and earn tons tickets. Lots of games choices and its clean.
Went with my sister with her grandson to celebrate his 10th birthday. Had a good time didn't ride any rides cause he was afraid of them. ALL of them . Lol HAPPY BIRTHDAY AKAYDEN TOUCHETTE, 10 yrs old
This place is an institution and we love going here. Just wish that they, would take better care of or get better versions if their games because some of them are not functioning well, particularly the Mario cart game. Every time we go it's the same- only 1 or 2 of the 4 or 5 units work and very poorly at that .
The games are fun although a little short. They can be expensive as well, some games start at 2.00 points (1 point=1 dollar). There are many claw machines but they are pretty weak and I saw only a handful of people walking with prizes. The prizes themselves are your regular prizes, finger traps, stickers, fans, plushies cups etc. My daughter hit a jackpot for 2,000 tickets and we had to wait till the machine counted the tickets (took a while) to claim a prize. The games on the boardwalk are a bit expensive
The arcade has been here for as long as I can remember visiting, well over 45 years. Not only is the atmosphere fun, it brings back memories of when arcades like this reigned as the entertainment "hot spot" when growing up. Always worth a visit when on the Boardwalk!
Best arcade I've been to! Claw machine actually pickup prize, we walked away with two stuffed animals, a dinosaur and over 500 in tickets. The new card thing was actually nice, not having to carry around a bunch if tickets. The prize shop had lots of things to choose from and were all for reasonable amounts of tickets.
Great for kids. Waay too expensive. $20 will only last about na hr at most. Most game are at minimum $1 to play. Otherwise would have more Star ?
Best game i have ever played?strongly recommend people go there. when you get 7 yellow card with different hero?you will earn 3000 points ?you get 7 red you earn 5000 . but some of heros are hard to get it?nice place.
The laser tag is my favorite! There are soo many fun arcades from the old school ones to the modern touch screen ones. I also really enjoyed the drum set video game where you play on drums to a favorite song you pick They are open til midnight so it gives you a whole lot of time to enjoy and play. You can also make arrangements to host a private event
Always a fun time! Put in more claw machines with better prizes!
It's a fun place to visit while on the boardwalk. It features plenty of arcade games, photo booths, prizes, and there is a mini-golf area. The decor is awesome throughout the area. It's a good place to take the kids.
Horrible place to bring your family, supervisors are angry, not to be reasoned with, sent us out 10 minutes before closing when we had 50 points left on the card and live 2 hours away, never returning here, don't recommend it to anyone around this area, there is much better options.
We had a lot of fun. It's just too Damm expensive. With the amount of people that go here. There isn't any reason to charge so much money
Quality arcade with a good range of games to play from the retro PacMan, Galaga, Gauntlet, to the new Jurassic World, Mario Kart and more. Loads of interactive games too like skeeball and hoops but its the penny-push that I love. That delicious sound of coins falling into the trap when they tip over the edge is too much for me to resist. The Token-exchange for prizes is pretty steep but I expected that and ended up giving my tickets to a kid. All great fun, staff were really friendly and toilet facilities
Had a great time with my family there last week. My two boys had the time of their lives and are very happy still.
It's an arcade with lots and lots of games. They called it the casino arcade because about 70% of the arcade is rigged gambling games. I heard there's lazer tag but the board was broken and no one was there. Edit: I went back there today and the laser tag is amazing, they have rapid fire and anti-spawnkill thing.
Has a good mix of new and old arcade games, no pinball tables, but plenty to have fun. Great for kids and adults
Went to play pinball, was fun, not as many tables as they used to have. Tilted easy. Temps inside were way too hot on a cool evening.
I would give 5 stars but i hate that there are not enough pool tables for everyone who wants to play to be able to play. And when. Ask to be put on a wait list they dont have 1. At least thats what i was told. If you dont like huge wild crowds....forget ever going on a weekend (especially during the summer) parking is the worst lol
This casino/arcade really has a lot to offer. They have all kinds of games from different eras, and even still have an old-school Star Wars racing game where you actually sit in the pod Anakin uses in Phantom Menace. Check out the laser tag arena if you're looking for some active and competitive play, or play with up to four on some of the available racing terminals.
Love the new and old games. Good place to hang with friends and family. The staff are doing a good job keeping the place clean, after you use the games.
Fun Arcade that uses cards. I spent a lot of money and walked away with no prizes. The prizes are way high. Even for an adult like myself to play ... I got enough tickets for a small prize ... but nothing worth taking about. I guess, I gotta spend ALOT more money to get something better.
No pinball as advertised and very loud when busy. Otherwise, a fun family outing.
Great place to go. Affordable for all. Really enjoyed my time there even with no kids as I like to play games and be a kid myself.
Some pretty cool games but you better cash out your 401k first if you plan on keeping 2 people playing longer than an hour
So many games, so much fun. Enjoyed with my family , husband and kids. Inside the boardwalk all the way to the back.
Best beach arcade and fun house! Something for everyone of every age to do rain or shine. Nice boardwalk and casino for children play and also adult people can play volleyball on beach
This is my happy place. My kids' happy place too
Great selection of games, with a fully digital system for keeping track of your tickets and credits. Games are definitely pricey though.
Spent an entire evening in this place! Really fun for most ages. Note that It is noisy, had many bright and blinky lights, and lots of people.
What a good time. Thus was a great way to spend 3 1/2 hours. Time really does fly by when you're having fun.
Had fun but the game I was playing never gave me my tickets and I didn't know how much I got in tickets on my card. And I spends good amount of money also.
fun place to take the family or friends to hang out everything is card based a bit pricey for some games but card can be used everywhere in boardwalk
Very nice and big arcade. Must have a card to play any game. A lot of games to choose from. Very fun.
Always fun for a night on the town no matter what age you are. It's very clean they do a great job.
Great place friendly staff great views!!
One of the best arcades in the area. Lots of game options. Even the old games for the parents to enjoy. Love pac man and air hockey!
Born n raised here and even then I thought it was pricey and the winnings are a bit of a scam honestly, now as a parent taking my kid I know for sure its too pricey per game and still a scam for your winnings, its just not equaling out in any way
There doing a lot of repairs when I went. Nothing was really open. BUT I know they were working on getting the rides n attractions ready.
Kids loved the arcade. We played so many games and had a great time.
Fun to hang out and waste time and play some games. Bunch of high school staff but its a place where you kinda service yourself. Tokens are same price as every other arcade but can find deals and coupons if you look.
Great place to spend the day for the kids, not as spendy as I thought it would be.
Classic arcades and nostalgia. Takes me back to my childhood everytime I come here. Came as a kid, teen, adult. Now married with kids, bring my kiddos for them to enjoy also.
Lots of fun! Lots of games!
It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.
Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.
Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.
Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.
Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.
Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.
Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.
No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
