Been here a few times pretty cool place the pinball arcade is awesome the selection of things are pretty much endless and in my opinion prices are a little higher than some places but also lower than others so it really just depends on what you're looking for also they seem to be willing to negotiate a little bit, the place is a little cluttered as far as some counter tops but it didn't effect my shopping experience in any way so overall it's a great store for you're retro game needs and wants or if you wa
This is one of my favorite stores to visit, my kiddos love to play the arcade games and I enjoy the chance to play the fun pin ball machines. The gentlemen who work there are always so nice and kind, and very patient. They are child friendly and always willing to help. Anyway yesterday I injured my thumb play pool with my husband and due to a past thumb injury I kind of just zoned out the gentleman came over with the first aid kit and made sure I cleaned my wound before I covered it and reassured me he's do
Was exited to go in and see their selection of games. No one greeted us when walking in, and the place was kind of cluttered and hard to find games. I was still planning on getting games and their PS3 and Xbox 360 games are by a very inconveniently placed pool table. We made sure we weren't in their way and while browsing the games, someone comes up and rudely says that we can't look at them because there are people playing pool and we are "in their way" (we saw the people playing pool so we made sure they
Will and his family are amazing and they are always willing to make great deals, and stand behind their products 100%. And if they don't have it, they'll find it.
He was very polite, stuck the stickers Not on the box art *Cough* Gamestop *Cough* and even had a protective shell on Dr.Mario GB CIB
This place is a great reflection of family-owned retro game shops. While a bit dingy, this shop is stocked to the gills with every game you could think of, at very fair pricing in line with Ohio's retro shops. Systems, games, guides, magazine, and more. The rare items were in a league of their own. Have you ever seen an NES TV in person? Because I haven't. The employees are very helpful and knowledgeable about their product as well. I left with two Pok?mon guide books and a very pleasant experience.
Been going here for about 4 years, Usually stop in once a month to see what they have in the N64 case. Best prices on vintage consoles, games and accessories. Would highly recommend
Stopped by there with my two young daughters and bought a Nintendo Wii. Prices were very fair; I spent a good amount and owner threw in quite a few freebies. This was my first time visiting and wanted to share/show my kids what some of the old retro video games looked and felt like. I was pleasantly surprised by not only the service I got but by the stock this place had. I will be returning to buy more Wii games for Xmas. These are the kind of stores that need to stick around. I'm not a local Lima resident
Edit: Changing my reveiw from 4 to 5 stars because of their willingness to negotiate. Let's get the small amount of negatives out of the way first. First, the prices are a little bit higher than average for some items, and pretty good on others. Despite being a large retail game store they still will accept negotiations. Now for the many positives. First of all this selection is amazing. You'll most likely find what you want when you walk in here, system or game. Second of all, the store atmosphere is grea
Ah, Cartridge Gaming, my favorite place to go on my visits to the Lima area. I've been coming to the store since 2015 at their old location, and it has been improving ever since. Owner will always give you deals if you buy multiple items or maybe even if you just ask. Owner even sold me an old vintage Nintendo toy chest when I mentioned I was buying a new house and was trying to decorate my game room, it was previously not for sale. All systems/games are extremely well looked after and cleaned up before
This is hands down the best video game store in town. They have all the amazing retro games as well as some new ones. The staff and owner are super nice and chill as well as helpful. My favorite part about the place is the pinball arcade in the back. The nostalgia hits so hard that I can feel it from a past lifetime (I'm only 25 lol) I moved away but now anytime I come back to Lima, I make sure to stop by here. Love this place ????
Took my daughter here got her a Xbox 360 and skate3 game. Really enjoyed the place has the older but good systems with a lot of the games to go with it. Staff was very helpful and friendly we will be going back.
Superb arcade. TONS of rare retro pinball and arcade games. Awesome selection of new and used games and consoles from the 80's up to modern times. Excellent staff and customer service. Tournaments and awards! Best arcade in Ohio! My son and I have a blast there at least once per week.
My favorite go-to gamestore. I drive an hour to go here because they are great with negotiating prices or saving stuff for you if you ask. Friendly staff, will stop and chat with you. Ive had multiple consoles fixed and cleaned and they are always able to get what i need done with them. Definetly go here over mega replay everytime
Great environment, owner is very friendly and knowledgeable. Only downside is trade ins are much less than other shops in the area
If you love games of any kind, this is a stop worth making. We stopped to check out the PS2 selection and pinball games and we were more than impressed. There are games galore inside the doors! The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. I will definitely be back!
Awesome place to get retro games and consoles. Staff is very friendly and helpful. I have made several purchases there and everything is almost in mint condition. Don't hesitate to check out their great selection.
Been going to these guys since they had little shops and you definitely get great service and quality games that have been TESTED and CLEANED. I've since moved away and they still ship items to me no issues. If you're into anything retro be it video games, pop culture, or even pinball check this place out. You won't be disappointed
This place was pretty cool. There was a pinball room, laser tag area, and you can play any game system you want. The concept is you rent time in the areas you want to play in. You can also but merchandise and if you're looking to get rid of some gaming gear, take it in because they buy. I'm not sure if they give cash or store credit though.
I've had a lot of issues with this place. Chipped discs, consoles that don't work, and they even made my N64 not work when they installed a part for me. I got it fixed somewhere else, but that was my last straw. They also responded that they remember me when they clearly don't. They were informed of where I went to have it fixed, knew I didn't have the tool to do it myself, and keep calling me Sir. I'm a girl. And some of the cartridges I used to test the console that wouldn't work came from their store.
Great selection of games to buy and an amazing pinball selection.
When I am looking for a new nostalgic game for my N64 or my GameCube, I come here. They do their best to get stock notices out to the people through Facebook as they get them in. Yet the best way to find out is just visiting the store, plus they really upgraded the place by adding the Pinball area, another nostalgic part of history that definitely needed brought back and they did it. As well as having the amazing friendly staff that is beyond helpful when they can be. I can honestly say I love this place b
I never have a bad time when I go here. No matter what I walk out of the store owning something new. I tend to go for vintage items (PS2 and before ) when I look around. There is a wide selection of games and magazines and other items/accessories. I'm a fan of the bumper stickers. Currently my wife and I have matching Pac-Man stickers that we purchased here. The associates are friendly, personable and helpful. Although we usually don't need many questions answered they are always there to help us if needed
Love the place. You can find anything from Atari and up. They sell the systems and games when in stock. Including handheld devices. You can also buy accessories and personalized items. They sell game cards like Magic and also hold tournaments. They also have a decently sized arcade where they hold tournaments at as well. As well as laser tag.
It is heaven for oldschool gamers and gives you a good walk down memory lane. They showed me what I was looking for tested it and showed me the internet works and threw in a free case to protect the console, best service and coolest store I have ever been to. If you want to find a game and or console that you haven't seen since your childhood then this place is where you should be looking.
I get the whole buying local thing but at the same time prices are 2 and 3 x more then there value. There are a bunch of retro game shops in Ohio and even near the area who price according to the value. That's why I come to this store once in a great while and look but usually buy at another game shop.
Great place to shop for your video game needs. Always has good and rare games. Plus while you are there you can play some pinball. They have a bunch of machines and always getting new ones.
Pinball machines in large amounts are hard to find as it is. Definitely a great arcade conviently located behind Rapid Fire Pizza and by the main shopping and food area. You can buy games and collectibles instead of getting ripped off by claw machines.
I really like this place and consider it my go-to retro gaming store. Everybody is nice and willing to help out, and the selection is pretty awesome. The pinball machines are fun too!
Laser tag is lots of fun. You can have just ur family in the staging ground. It is $7.for 10 minutes. That is plenty long enough. The virtual reality is fun and the owner will help u get the hang of it. It is $9. They have lots of old games and equipment for sell. They also have a video arcade and tables for board games. Fun place.
Was in the area visiting flea markets and game stores. This place wasnt too bad. Pricing seemed higher compared to other places. Thought it was cool they had VHS tapes still! And the arcade was a plus!
I stopped in looking to buy a Sega Genesis controller and a set of AV cables for SNES. I found the controller, but no cables were out on the shelf. I asked if they had any, and the guy just told me that they don't exist, rather than either checking or telling me that they don't have any at the moment. I decided not to buy anything at all after this little unprofessional stunt.
I went in here once. Definitely had lots of inventory in the cartridge gaming era of video games. There were also lots of non-cartridge games as well, which was just as good. I hope to be back again with my brother to help him with his NES games collection and maybe pick up some games for myself.
Did not honor sale posted on Facebook. The sale was still listed on Facebook after it was over. Someone said they would still honor it but I already left town. They said they would be willing to ship but never responded when I agreed. I would stop by every time I was in Lima but no longer will be doing business here
Definetly a good place. If ur into retro/board games this is the place. Everything's good prices and they have anything ur looking for. Even the merchandise is great and would look nice on a wall. All the employees are nice and talkative. Great place!
Love the vibe of the store when you walk in it just seems like every nerds paradise they also have some really interesting stuff in there that you normally wouldn't think of looking for until you see it! They have got everything you need and more!
Walked around for 20 min. No one greeted us or asked if we needed help. Had to ask other customers if anyone was an employee. Dirty, girls bathroom door doesn't lock, extremely overpriced.
Great customer service. Came in for a while looking for a part. After they came in, they set one aside so I could buy one.
I would say I love the place but sold me a gameboy that not only didnt charge but also didnt come with a charger, after they fixed the gameboy they still did not give me a charger for the device. Call up later and they said "yea a charger comes with all rechargeable devices"...good thing for ebay, had to buy a charger to use the gameboy, one less customer here
Amazing place , had bought a direct xbox from them issue with the disc reader made me bring it back and they swapped it out and tested it to be sure it would work great guys . And amazing atmosphere I would give them 6 stars I'd i could
Although the have a good selection of games they lack a catalog or system that tracks what they have. So, instead of walking in and trying to find that one game just by looking it up in a system. You're left rummaging through most of their stock.
Great selection for older stuff however I was sold a defective game and I was refused a refund. Was told in store credit only. EDIT: Thank you for addressing this, I hope you all have a wonderful day.
Great place, great staff. Very helpful. Lots of incredible finds you would not find anywhere else. If you want it and they don't have it, just ask. They'll try to get it for you
I've been there a couple times. They have a great selection of games, the staff is friendly, and they have a poster from the Mario Bros. movie, which increases their clout for me 500x.
This is an amazing place for gamers !! Right side has Virtual reality gaming . Middle is Lazer tag beside that a small arcade like back in the day (LOVE) then left side is full of any and every game system and games controls power cords ect ect ect for you to purchase ! Very awesome place
This is a great shop, with a friendly and knowledgeable staff. They have a decent selection of older cartridge and disc games and even systems. I will be back!
If you are a child of the 70's and 80's or you simply love "retro gaming" this is the place to visit! Excellent selection of games consoles and peripherals! Friendly knowledgeable staff!
Best gaming place around, go here first, they are friendly, have arcade machines, almost every system kiosk setup, and way better prices and selection than other game stores.
Friendly staff! They fixed my broken consoles I bought from mega replay and now they work just like new! Love this place!
Awesome shop! Huge selection of game systems and games plus extras. Also a cool selection of pinball games and arcade games.
Huge selection but the prices are pretty high. If you're in Lima there are better places to buy video games.
Awesome place. Love the pinball lineup and love browsing through all of the stock. Couldn't recommend higher!
Amazing local gaming store, more vintage games and game related merch. Staff is super nice. 100/10
Friendly and helpful staff and a great selection of both video games, and table top games. 10/10
Awesome store with a wide selection of games, consoles and much more! Great staff and environment.
Very cool place, lots of old games to buy, and they have a bunch of Pinball Games to play. Go check it out.
With a wide selection of games and consoles ranging from the Atari to the Playstation 3, Cartridge Gaming is a great place to find classic games at reasonable prices.
Best retro game shop in town.
Great place for gamers. . . Buy, sell, trade, play. So much fun in one place. Check it out for yourself.
Great group of people who work here. They are willing to work with you and if they don't have an item, they will do what they can to help you find it.
Great staff. If you get into retro or table top games give them a look.
The information I learned there alone was worth the trip. The staff was very helpful! I will go back soon.
Great selection and priced accordingly. Always find what I am looking for and usually more.
My favorite place to buy video games and also has a great pinball selection!
The kids loved it and we loved being able to let them try the games before we bought them!
Very friendly employees, cool place lots of game systems
Staff was more than helpful - games priced well. Will return regularly to check stock.
Great place to find older games and older systems. Always great costumer service.
Friendly staff! Always willing to help. And there the only place around that offers repairs!
This place is awesome, love going here to play pinball games. People are very nice.
This place awesome! So much things! Super friendly staff too!
Very friendly and willing to make deals. We always try to stop here when in town.
Lovely group of people! Wide variety and wonderful at getting you what you want Highly recommended.
Friendly staff and great stock. Always a pleasure doing business with them
Great store with a lot of nostalgic feels. Great customer service.
Good prices and helpful staff willing to put in the work to get what you want!
As a nerd they have so much to offer from pinball to the card games there is nothing my nerdy heart does not love
Got some N64 games from them. Great quality and all of them worked flawlessly!
A fun stop for Pokemon cards. One of my kids even did a birthday party there.
Unique experience in a great if unexpected atmosphere. Super friendly and knowledgeable staff.
Great selection of games, knowledgeable staff, awesome deals
They take care of their customers. Many businesses could learn something from them.
Some good deals, some not so much. Good to stop in and see what they have!
Friendly staff, large inventory and great arcade!
Cartridge Gaming has been my go to for video games for years. When it comes to retro gaming I've never seen a better place to shop
Helped me find a hard to find game and the fave me an in-store discount.
Way higher than eBay prices and you get to deal with Millennials ?uh jobs are hard....?
Very nice place to buy from the guy was really helpful and was nice to talk to
It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.
Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.
Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.
Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.
Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.
Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.
Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.
No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
