From the first contact with staff this place sucked! They refused to give us a super light ball for our 3yr old granddaughter saying every single ball was being used for a bday party that, by the way, never showed up. The desk staff was extremely rude the entire visit. The diner staff had "to check" to see if they had pizza to serve and then it took 45mins to get the half cooked pizza that tasted disgusting. It was over priced at $35 for an undercooked frozen pizza. After bowling only 2 games for 4 adults a
It has recently been renovated. It's beautiful inside! Food at the grill is great! Line dancing in the bar. Looking forward to the new potato shop!
This place use to be good before the new ownership. The new screens they added freeze half the time, and when the screens are working the lane itself is stuck! It wouldn't bother me much, but the staff is ignorant and rude. When the lane was stuck we'd go tell the front desk employee (Robby) who completely shrugged us off. It took over a full minute for the employee to call the issue over the speaker (which you can hear), even though there were only two other lanes being bowled on. After all these issues yo
We had so much fun! Customer service was great, bowling alley was clean and the glow bowl after 8pm really added to the experience for my kids. We'll definitely be back.
Great family atmosphere and super friendly and helpful staff will definitely be bowling here more often.
Love the staff, so much fun... great owners. The snack bar food is awesome
Cool place pool tables are a little expensive but the staff made up for it very helpful. Thank you
Service was absolutely terrible, counter person was very rude. Games were gliching and didn't keep score correctly. Pizza was way over priced and not good.
Before new ownership this place was great. After new ownership I've experienced some attitude and blatant rude behavior from both the wife and husband. Wife wouldn't bother to take a drink order from me, then goes to another table and asks them if they need to order drinks. Then I go to pay my bill and leave, while paying the husband informs me they have never done military discounts. I've gotten a military discount from this exact man 10-15 times before this happened. I let him know this and he told me I w
Worth the drive. Great prices, warm, friendly staff, lanes are in good shape. I'll be coming here to bowl whenever I'm in the area.
I wish I could rate it a zero ! Older lady was Racist as well as the young man. We were told by both of them with an attitude that all lanes were occupied until 8:30 and a (white) family which they were really nice nothing against race . Well they came in and were told there should be a lane opening in about 20mins like ??? Were they not fully booked until 8:30! Wish this world wasn't like this unfortunately it still is and now I have to explain to my child why we couldn't bowl there .
Carson Lanes was very accommodating to our group of bowler outing for two evenings.
Multiple issues with lanes not functioning, after 4th complaint, we were moved to New lanes due to malfunction, then moved again because they put us on lanes that were under maintenance. This was during a kids birthday party. For the cost, perhaps checking that the lanes assigned are functioning instead of having people pack up a bunch of kids and birthday decor to keep moving.
Ania was absolutely great! She had everything in order for our birthday party. Fun was had by all.
Had a awesome time watching my daughter in her bowling competition ??
Reasonably priced, about $90 for 4 people, 4 shoe rentals, and 3 full games. Food and drinks on site. Seems locally owned! We got the nachos and quesadilla which won't win a competition but hit the spot for us. The bowling tech is a bit dated but 100% functional. Good lane conditions too. Highly recommend checking this spot out!
This used to be my go to before the new ownership. Now I drive to Reno because I can't stand the $$ gouging these guys are up to. A normal bowling alley charges a lane for the hour no matter how many people are on that lane. These guys want to charge the hourly rate for every person that is with me. What !! So if I have 4 friends I get charged lane x4. That's ridiculous !! And they won't rent individual lanes for a group of 2 or 3.. why not? They said to me they can make more money if they dont rent
Had a wonderful time with the whole family! Very fun.
We had a great time and it didn't cost an arm and a leg!
The young man who rang us up was super cool but the thing that pissed me off was we paid $80 for 1 hour and when we were in the middle of our second game they ahir off our lane and the old lady who I'm pretty sure was the manager had the nerve to say she was gonna have to charge us for an extra half hour even though we would've been done in 15 minutes Topps. All the bowling allies I've went to they always let you finish out your game and the place was EMPTY so DO NOT COME HERE UNLESS YOU HAVE $80 TO SPEND O
This place is great prices are absolutely reasonable. The staff is great and Danny is the man always puts community and guests first. Will be my go to bowling spot for the next years. I will be bringing my family back very soon.
Perhaps one of the worst bowling establishments I have been to the in my lifetime. Do not waste your money here. The bowling is awful and the tech does not work properly. The owner of this property has got to be one of the most incompetent business owners in the state of Nevada. Please avoid this area like it has an STD. Just awful vibes. Whoever owns this place must not really have it all together.
Great spot with good service. Has a lot of other business located in the center as well, bar, food places, play pool, arcade, ice cream spot, and there might be more but that is all I saw. Definitely would like to go back and try the other spots too! Fun times with the family!
Family fun and lots of kind people, I went to watch my sister bowl on her team Tuesday nights
This place is just nostalgic and so retro and fun. Really reasonable prices, friendly staff, and decent food. Pool table room and arcade room great for kids.
Carson Lanes is a Fun Center! Bowling, pool tables by the hour, a bar and dance floor, restaurants, a video game room and lots of parking. I can be found in the pool room, looking as if I know what I'm doing. Good fun. Open and league play with bowling. The bar has regular dance events during the week. The staff are friendly and the facility is clean.
Well, not so nice last evening. Crowd overwhelmed the young people in charge. Employee came to Lane 27 and actually asked if we had just randomly picked a lane and started bowling! Really? You gave us bowling shoes and assigned us the lane. Response"Oh". The worst part, the bowling balls are FILTHY! OUR HANDS WERE BLACK AT COMPLETION OF 2 GAMES! Health department issue for sure. And, lastly, 2 games 3 people....$42.00,!!! GDW was $27.00 2 days prior and clean. We will not return. P.S. We live in Carson Vall
I always have a great time here. There is a variety of activities to do such as playing pool, bowling, the arcade, and there's two places here that offer awesome food in a clean and safe environment. Most of the staff here are laid back, they're very kind and generous, I even left a tip after playing a few games of pool because I enjoyed my time here that much. There was one incident that made this place not very friendly, and I don't want this to be counted as a bad review, but one of the janitors here fak
Prices are accessible, and their service was great. We went to a birthday party and were not disappointed.
The place was quiet tonight but very nice. Just went on a first date there and we had a good time
Employees were swearing behind the counter. Older women, seemingly in charge of the kitchen, was creating a hostile workplace with willing eager younger employees. I won't be back.
I had a great time here. Not to crowded at the time, mid afternoon on a Sunday. Traditional diner food that we ordered was delivered to our lane. Pitchers of beer are decently priced, way better deal than singles. You can buy socks off you need so no worries if you're wearing the wrong shoes.
Fun place fir all ages.
This was a very nice entertainment center, friendly staff, and very reasonable prices. Our family had a wonderful time bowling there, the kids hit the arcade after, and then we all ate at Johnny Rocket's, all without leaving the complex. I definitely recommend this center for a good day or night of family, or date night fun!
We had a blast. It was easy to get a lane and get going. They had a dinosaur ramp to help our 3 year old bowl successfully. The staff was friendly and helpful.
Had a little to do for the whole family. Good snacks, arcade for the kids and we had a great time bowling. When we left they had karaoke going, I wanted to stay
Very clean and welcoming environment. Always a fun time! Country line dancing lessons Tuesday and Wednesday nights and bowling is always a hoot! Clean and classic billiards room just off the bar and great drink specials! Will enjoy coming here time and time again!
Awesome time I'll definitely be back! We got there at 6:15pm new years eve and they mentioned a party would be in at7:45. Not only did they ask the party to wait they gave us vouchers and we got to finish our last game.
Nice family place, wish the kids bumpers can come up and down in accordance with a player, or set to be manyally activated. But overall had a good time with family
I love the hometown feeling of the property. Great place to go bowling, play pool or have a cocktail. The kids enjoy the game room and the photo booth. Staff was pleasant and courteous.
Great family fun. The elf hunt was great.
Love this bowling center, the employees are very nice and outgoing. The restrooms are well kept and there is a few choices of food & drink restaurants within to keep you coming back. I highly recommend giving this place a shot at family fun!
Carson lanes is a good choice for a night out. I recently took my wife there and we had a great time. The staff was very nice and helpful. They do a great job trying to keep the place tidy. There are several food options available there from the bowling dinner to Johnny rockets to Wallys pizza, and they will deliver it to your lane. They also have a fill bar for your adult thirst needs, and it very reasonably priced. Overall I recommend it to anyone and look forward to to going again soon.
Fun for the whole family. Its kind of a mini mall. It has a good pizza place and a johnny rockets burger place along with another mom and pop dinning. The arcade is somewhat up to date with air hockey and a mix of classic and modern video games. The bathrooms are very clean! The bowling lanes are a few steps above gold dust lanes! They also have a sports bar and sometimes have a mini fleemarket. All around a good family environment!!
This is now home grown Bowling. This was a pleasant experience and our small school group was well accomidated.
The location of this alley is great. You can get food at the restaurant, drinks at the bar (bring a bucket in to your lane!), and have a great evening with friends. Clean. Very reasonably priced.
I hadn't bowled in more than 30 years, but I couldn't pass up the opportunity to give it a shot with a couple of friends, especially since Carson Lanes was running its Monday night special: $1 per game. The lanes were in good shape. The ball was finishing well. Staff was courteous and helpful, and a good time was had by all. But you don't want to know my scores. Just to give you an idea, the last time I bowled, we had to keep our own scores on either paper or plastic. There were no computers doing it fo
Fun great prices. Owners are very friendly and accommodating. Senior discounts available ??
Carson lanes is family owned, and they take great pride in keeping their customers happy and comfortable. Their staff is always pleasant and smiling. It's a great family bowling alley. We enjoy bowling there on a league.
Great summer bowling rates! We had a great time. Very clean and new feeling for a bowling alley! Friendly staff. Johnny Rockets delivers right to your lane!
Service was excellent. Sushi very good. Mongolian beef was excellent except it would have been better without all the green onions. A different veggie would have been better.
The staff are awesome, the food and drinks are good and reasonably priced. Our family and friends bowl there every Monday. The one dollar a game special for bowling makes for a good time.
The staff is extremely nice and helpful with our party, and the the other parties on both sides of us. Everything from our shoes to our surrounding areas to the restrooms were kept up on and very clean. Thank you Carson Lanes!
All kinds of fun stuff. *** Also they host a dance for special needs people every Tuesday and Thursday nights from 6 to 9:00 p.m.** I also think they host special Olympics bowling and other events these people are great and the bowling alley is kept clean .....everyone's nice
Bowling is reasonably priced, good food, arcade is a little on the ghetto side, half the time stuff doesn't work but my son loves going for a little air hockey and the Fast and the Furious racing game which you can save your progress on. Staff is awesome
Had a lot of fun. Nice and clean. Kind of nice that they have only every other lane open. Doesn't feel overcrowded and don't have to wait for left and right lane bowlers to go.
Friendly place. Great spot for food and drinks, then bowl for some fun. Bring your own shoes because theirs are older than me...
The best employees, always helpful, the best quality food, great prices, great specials, and very CLEAN ! We travel 1 hour to bowl at "CARSON LANES", and, have never been disappointed. They offer a reward program for every dollar spent. VOTED BEST In CARSON CITY NEVADA Close to ALL your shopping needs in South Carson City?. See you there ! Miss Kitty & Charlie
This is such a fun place! The bowling is fun, a great selection of food from pizza to Johnny Rockets. The country line dancing lessons on Tuesdays and Wednesdays are a blast. I highly recommend the Carson Lanes!!!
Went here to have a fun game of bowling with my family. But people next to us were rude and staff was crap and we had a bad lanes waited two hr for ball return and got my face rip off bye kid at the front desk. The manger said it was are problem for not cleaning the oil off the balls. but it happen every game and the rude people next to us didn't watch kids and staff didn't care and the mother who was watching the kids walk down the lane. And all balls are junk because there missing chunks out them.
Awesome employees! Great atmosphere. The fact that there is amazing food choices and an arcade and bowling together is great. Great place to go for a family fun night or group get togethers!
The staff was helpful and nice! I liked the many food options and pitchers of beer. The equipment and balls were a bit rundown...I actually liked that! It felt authentic!
I'm not a Facebook user. I could not look at their web site without having a Facebook account. I will not be visiting this facility as I can not find out if they are worth visiting. I will also encourage others not to visit as well. I feel the only reason you have to have a Facebook account to view their site is so they can flood you with useless adds. Carson lanes doesn't seem to be considerate of anyone but the followers of Facebook. Shame on you Carson lanes.
Pricing is reasonable. Lanes are getting aged, but still fun. Snack bar for events. Deli in the building for food and alcohol. Clean bathrooms and plenty of parking.
We bowled on a Sunday it was not busy but we had fun. The nachos were so good.
We came here often in the past but they ended their Monday special so now it's overpriced since the bumpers won't go up and down.
Cant go wrong when you get Johnny Rockets and bowling! Great little snack as well. Everyone was friendly and nice, o yeah BUCKETS OF BEER!
I have been in this establishment multiple times sense they reopened a few years back but honestly i am not any but impressed. When i bowl i can tell the lanes are uneven because no matter how i throw the ball it is always favored to one side of the lane... There is a couple of restaurants inside and they are: Johnny Rockets, Wallys Pizza, and allies diner.. They also have a bar and multiple pool tables!
Poor customer service also asked for food and they told me I guess I can turn the grill on the lane maintenance was horrible
Awesome place, good for the family and customer service was great!!!
Basically a great place. Johnny rockets, a new ice cream/boba shop (they are always out of tapioca boba) , billiards, the Cafe, a small arcade, and bowling. Book bday parties in advance because of league bowling
This place is awesome this has been my daughter's number 1 place to have her birthday party
It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.
Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.
Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.
Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.
Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.
Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.
Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.
No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
