103 Carolina Beach Ave N
Carolina Beach, North Carolina 28428
It was a fun little arcade. Easy games to win prizes at. And lots of games to win tickets. $20 got me almost a 1000 tickets. My daughter had a lot of fun. There is a nerf shooting games at was really exciting. Games for all games really. Here is the shelf of stuff animals for a 1000 tickets
Nice small arcade that offers mostly ticket winning type games. Has a few claw machines where you can win plushies and figures as well. Nice for a couple hours of entertainment. Ticket prizes are not anything crazy but for a small arcade, not bad all in all.
My kids love the arcade. This place was nice and smelled clean. The only thing that needs work is the bathrooms. The prices were pretty good and even with other arcades we've been to.
This one for the money is better than Myrtle Beach in my opinion. The VR costs too much but if you avoid that then for $20 you can have a decent time and actually get a reasonable amount of tickets 600-1000+ not too shabby. Sure it would be nice if the place was a little bigger but I would have given 5 stars if not for the VR. Memorial Day weekend and it wasn't that busy either, checkout was smooth no waiting in long lines.
Great place to go to kill your time and your wallet. The AC was on so it was cool at least. We killed some time while we were waiting to eat. The kids won tickets to get prizes. We probably spent $50 to get a $2 prize... I guess that's what you do on vacation...
A fun clean family friendly atmosphere with lots of variety in games and nice prizes! Drew that runs the place is super down to Earth & kind. We will definitely make this a must everytime we visit Carolina Beach!
We make the trip from Leland, just to come to this arcade. There is plenty to do and my kids always come out with nice prizes. The atmosphere is friendly and clean. The kids absolutely love this place and it gives you a nostalgic hometown feeling. Salty beach air, bright lights and laughter. Always a plus!
Great value! They don't make arcades like this anymore. For what we paid to play, we got lots of games and turns. Our kids had a blast. This is a throw-back and super fun. I understand why they don't do tickets but I do miss having physical tokens and tickets. Otherwise this place is amazing!
Extremely expensive arcade that is mostly kiddie-casino style games with tickets given for prizes similar to the old Showbiz pizza. There are two skeeball machines, two basketball hoop machines, a two-seater driving video game, a newer style baseball arcade machine, and a virtual reality station. Everything else is the equivalent of dropping in coins to watch your money go down a hole. Parking nearby was ludicrously expensive due to it being Memorial Day weekend - - apparently subject to surge pricing. This
Go ahead and get the 50$ play. Will give you an hour or so with 2 kiddos. Was a nice stop, with ice cream next door!
Went here with a couple of friends. Loaded with an abundance of games, there is something for everyone. We went on a Sunday afternoon and it was not crowded.
Very well done, but a bit small and a bit expensive. Considering it is at the beach, that is totally to be expected. I definitely recommend the place if you/your kids like arcades, just know that $10 = 15 min with two kids. I'd give 4, but the beach factor makes it a 5 star.
Owner was super kind. Place was super clean. Reasonably priced! Will be back.
Expensive but my kids like it. A little cheaper than Jungle Rapids.
Basically everything a beach arcade needs to be! Awesome games- check! Great prizes to win- check! Friendly and personable staff- check! Clean and safe environment for kids- check! This place has it all, and if playing for prizes is your thing, they pretty much have you covered with a pretty wide assortment of stuff to save those tickets for. All the games are in top top shape and well taken care of. You can certainly tell that the owners and staff have their hearts in it fully and it is very much worth you
Great overall experience. Fair priced games. Get a fun card for $50 will last two kids about 30 minutes of play. Not busy on a weekend either.
Fun arcade on the boardwalk to relax great for the kids and whole family.
Fun place for the kids and a place for mom and dad to cool off.
Awesome addition to the boardwalk! Great games, all new, and every game we played gave lots of tickets. They had a lot of items to pick from with your winnings, not your usual arcade junk.
Fun iconic spot bring some monies folks! All games working and lots of fun.
Son loved the AC but the games. Everything was working and liked they had prizes for 5 tickets. My only thing I would love to see a few games for younger kids or retro games!! All in all it was great!!!!
Beachside arcades aren't normally our go-to, but it was so hot that we sheltered in the aircon of these and ended up having a great time for a couple of hours. We invested $20 in tickets, but quickly discovered that we were good enough at cornholing and basketball to make money on each play, so our balance quickly rose much higher than that. At the end, we blew the whole balance playing video games shooting dinosaurs in Jurassic Park - very much not our normal kind of entertainment, but great fun anyway!
I cant say enough about the helpfulness of the staff. My son and I basically went every night we were there on vacation and on the last night we misplaced our card. I searched everywhere in the wallet, rental, golf cart, etc with no luck. On the day we were leaving I went in with and asked if there was anything they could do and Caleb behind the toy counter and John the owner went above and beyond and were able to track my card and retrieve our tickets. The arcade itself is great with plenty of options,
Nice arcade. I do wish it had more traditional games to play. However, my Wife and I did have a great time playing the Push games. Action was fast and got some fun souvenirs. I've increased my review to 5 stars because the owner cared enough to contact me about my experience. Every game is geared toward technology. Didn't know how to get the points it said I had on the card. Meaning the points won.
Great location. Fun games. The staff was great and my kids had a blast!
Lots of fun for all ages. Couldn't pull my Dad away from that new avengers game. Neat prizes and lots of tickets up for grabs! They recently made it card-based play instead of tokens and tickets. I like the classic tickets better, only because it "feels" good but I highly recommend!
We came with a large group of 13 people and we all had a blast. Lots of games and the kids really enjoyed getting to try them all out. Lines to get prizes weren't long at all and it was a great time overall. We plan to come back before we head home. ??
Had a great time with the family. Have a good variety of games and decent prizes
It was nice. Brought back memories bc it used tokens for the games and dispensed tickets. Majority of the games were 4 tokens or more. There were a few 1-3 token games. I'd go again. Be sure to have cash or you'll have to use the ATM that charges a fee. I didn't use it so I don't know what the fee was.
Such a great arcade! Lots of different kinds of games for all different age ranges. The prices are a lot more fair than other places I've been before too. The prizes are pretty typical of an arcade. The only complaint is that some of the employees very obviously do not want to be there and are a little rude to the kids. Otherwise, a fun place for people of all ages and a stop worth making if you're hitting the boardwalk!
A good selection of games, including a fair amount for little kids to do. Most all games are 2 or 4 tokens, and they go fast. On the positive side, to win a decent prize, it doesn't take many tickets. On the negative, there aren't any rhythm games besides Piano Notes.
Great location, facility, games and prizes. Met the owners, who are down-to-earth people. Makes me glad we take our kids here and support local. We'll be back many times over!
The game prices are super reasonable and tickets are electronically stored on the cards you load credits on, so only one thing to keep track of. The kid and the adults had fun!
Best arcade in Wilmington! Place stays busy because all the games work and the prices aren't as ridiculous as some arcades. Great selection. We try to go every couple months. Good service. Needs a slightly better prize selection.
What a FUN place! Games are varied for many age levels and payouts are reasonable for cost. Took our 7 grandchildren ages 4-10 and all of them had a blast. Clean bathrooms tell place is managed well.
We have attended two private events here for children's birthday parties and the owner has been amazingly accommodating. I would definitely recommend CB arcade for a child's bday party! It's clean and there are enough games and entertainment to keep the kids happy for a few hours.
Lots of games. Lots of decent prizes to choose from. I got 49 balls!
It wasn't bad. Unless you're looking for prize games--games where the goal is to just get tickets--dont make the trip. They had a racing game and a Jurassic Park shooter and literally every other game was just for tickets. Not really a bad thing, just didn't know that going in.
Great little arcade, has some fairly cheap games to play. The games are token operated. So each game ranges about .25-$1 a play. They have an off season special running. If you get $20 in tokens they will give you $2 more in tokens for free. They also have a public bathroom as well, but not very good ac. I would recommend this arcade, it's games are more updated.
We had so much fun here as a family. The price point was good too for getting tokens making it an easy yes!
Prices are pretty typical to other arcades. The kids had a blast! We went on a Sunday morning around 11 and it wasn't very busy. Would definitely go again on our next trip to Carolina Beach.
Not much in the way of a classic arcade, heavy focus on games that produce tickets for prizes. If you enjoy those types of games, you'll like this place. Well lit, games work, busy but not overcrowded.
My 4 year old son couldn't get enough of this place. The guy working there was actually nice and kind, much appreciated. Good games for young kids all the way up to adults. Highly recommend.
Adjusting your off season hours on your website would be helpful. My wife and (excited) granddaughter waited from 11:30 a.m. until 12:20 p.m. saturday and no one ever opened the business. Site claims 11:30 door claims 12:00, light was on for open but place was locked and dark.
A pretty nice arcade. Slightly outdated games, but a lot of fun. To help frame my comment about slightly outdated games...most games here are ones that have been around for a long time. The games here are not in bad shape at all and appear to be very well kept. Again, they are a lot of fun.
Had so much fun with kids and grand kid that I almost forgot I had just had surgery. Everybody felt sorry for me so I ended up with a stuffed animal with a lot of the tickets. I will treasure it forever!
We live near the island and go here frequently and it never gets old. So much fun. Great prizes. Friendly staff.
It's all about tickets to get cheap prizes. Not many traditional video games if any. My kid liked it. Everything seemed to be in working order which is pretty rare for this type of place.
Atmosphere was great, games were fun, if you're going in order to win something come with a bit of cash on hand. Edit: I apologize to the owner for the misinformation, I personally did not see an ATM but I could've over looked it.
Most of the games are fun, so if your there to just play games and are not worried about getting prizes than this is the place for you. But if you are wanting good prizes for your money than I wouldn't spend too much of my time. Over all it's a pretty nice and we'll kept place.
Great arcade to spend some time. Fun games for kids and adults and great prizes. Nice place to have fun
Was just a good time
Arcade is amazing. Has so many games really nice people. Definitely recommend this five out of five stars.
Great for kids and families. Games range from 1 to 8 tokens. Mostly 2 or 4. Awesome prizes. Love you get tickets.
Clean, well-maintained games, good choices for all ages, and new games every year we go! $20 goes further than other places at the beach - and it's more fun too!
The owner of this arcade puts a lot of time and love into it, making sure everyone is having a good time. The variety of different games is awesome, and 20 bucks keeps 2 people happy for over an hour.
All the games seem to be working and modern. Everytime we visit we have a great time! Very clean and big selection of prizes to choose from.
They have lots of the same games, but enough variety that all of my kids 10, 6 & 5 found something they enjoyed!
Excellent place for 5yo kids to kill some time
Nice and clean. Good layout. Heavy on ticket machines and not many just stand and play style. Decent prizes with reasonable ticket values.
Great for all ages! Kids really liked turning in tickets for prizes!
Kids thoroughly enjoyed themselves as we visited this arcade twice during our vacation this week. Great variety of games and staff were very patient and friendly.
The kids had a great time. I've been coming here since before the original spot burned down. A Wilmington staple.
Love this place we have had so many fun night playing the games with our kids!
Loved it! Won lots of cool stuff with all the tickets I won. spent about $80 but I had a blast.
Absolute innocent fun. Employees are very nice too. Love to visit here whenever we visit the beach.
We enjoyed with our grandkids they played and got prizes and they all had a blast...great peoppl le service aswell
Awesome arcade family owned for many many years. Very modern up to date games at fair prices.
Kids loved it! Big improvement from old one before the fire. Friendly customer service, better games, kids enjoyed better prizes!
Fun place for anyone that likes games. Adults too. The two young guys working the ticket counter must have the patience of Job.
Typical arcade . . . no pinball, but lots of other things to take your money in a most entertaining manner, lol. The kids enjoyed it and so did other kids that I observed.
Very few videogames, all carnival and gamblingfor tickets skill games. It was fun for a half hour or so but would prefer a more traditional arcade.
My grandson loved it, of course, but it was not a very big place, had almost nowhere for parents to sit, and the noise was outrageous
Enjoyed the time with my family there...very good place to take kids and parents have fun also...it rocks!!!
It was a lot of fun! Arcade doesn't skimp on tickets. My husband and I spent 15$ shooting at a T-rex and stegosaurus!
It was a fun arcade. A little smaller than others but was fun and provided a much needed cool period. Staff was friendly
My kiddos love this place. The games are fun, staff is responsive, one of the better arcades I've ever visited.
Very fun place to go! We spent 4 hrs here and enjoyed every minute of it
A lot of fun and not terribly expensive for a touristy spot. Plenty of games and the prizes aren't unreasonable either
So fun and such great customer service. Our boys loved it! So did the grown ups haha
Perfect place for Father/son time??
Had an amazing time. Great games and wonderful staff. The location made it even better.
Lots of games that give tickets for prizes, not many old style arcade games. Clean, staff friendly, not very crowded
Good ol ticket collecting fun. Best part of the boardwalk and a better deal than the rides.
My daughter enjoyed herself on her b'day...staff very friendly and great atmosphere.
AMAZING. I LOVE THIS PLACE. ITS ACTUALLY OUR DATE NIGHT PLACE. WE USED TO SPEND MORE MONEY IN BARS. THE EMPLOYEES ARE ALSO VERY KIND.
Lots of fun games that paid out significant tickets for the little ones to pick up goodies at the end.
Fun arcade with lots of options!
It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.
Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.
Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.
Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.
Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.
Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.
Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.
No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
