This place is great. The games are awesome. Mostly new, not any vintage. There's cool movie memorabilia everywhere. Everyone?s friendly, there is a full bar with local beers on tap. We easily spent about an hour here and just had a great time.
First time visiting Capitol Arcade on a weekend afternoon in Omaha. Only a handful of people were partaking in the games. Open and spacious. Clean. Visually stimulating. Frustrations: several games down and maintenance network error when swiping card. Most games are 4-6 credits, with each game lasting seconds to minutes. Kids of all ages can enjoy, though I find it geared more toward adults. Full-service bar with an attentive and pleasant bartender. We interacted with a guy who was making drinks, no iss
I brought the kids by this weekend and they had an absolute blast!! I have to admit I did too, there are definitely games for people of all ages to enjoy. Our bartender Kaylee made some killer drinks & was great with the kids. Highly recommend stopping by if you're downtown!
Great idea, needs some work. Found this place on a whim for my son?s birthday and figured it looked fun enough to try. First tried to call before arriving but phone number on website was disconnected, so we had to go in to ask our questions. 4 credits for a dollar and each game costs no more than 8 credits. Loading cards was easy and they've got a good deal on bonus credits when you buy a certain amount. But once it came to redeeming the credits, every other game if not every one, was having a ?network main
Really fun arcade in downtown Omaha! The games are newer games, I'd get a maintenance error every now and then but it didn't impede my visit. My 9 year old son raved about it. Has a full bar, and you can order pizza from across the street at their sister company Fat Putter and they'll deliver.
Sweet new downtown arcade! Enjoyed the games, fire flower margarita, and the Capitol Pac-man Punch, but maybe we could use bartender Love?s (the brunette in the selfie with me ??) idea of putting Tajin to level it up and make the margarita look and taste more like a fire flower? Also? the mirror maze is super cool! But it could use a good cleaning!
Looks awesome on the inside! I've just crank my $40 to enjoy this fun places including the wonderful Mission Box and Capitol Mirror Maze. I should've get a Duel Deal instead for some double fun but hey, $40 is enough for me to enjoy for some long time around. *Most of the Prizes are Stuffed Plushies though. *Average Credit per One Game is 5. Will come back in a future to try a different Mission Box levels. ??
Bomb ass drinks ?? Tons of fun! Tyler is killer! Oh, and higher quality prizes..so fun!
Had a great time at the bar tonight! The bartender, Love, was AMAZING! She gave great drink recommendations and was hilarious! The bar was packed, games we super fun and everything was cheap compared to other places in Omaha. Highly recommend going back to see Love, and play some awesome games.
Capitol Arcade is definitely cool hang out spot for the youngsters!!
Just had an amazing time at Capitol Arcade! The atmosphere is electric, and the games are a blast. But the real star of the show? Love behind the bar! ?? Her friendly vibe and killer drink recommendations made my night unforgettable. If you want great drinks and even better company, you have to check her out! Can't wait to come back for more fun (and hopefully more of Love)!
Has so much potential but it feels like they focus more on the booze than anything else. A lot of games were down or not taking the cards. Only had one card station working and when the bartender said they were closing at 10, she proceeded to yell at everyone at 945 to get out and even starting shutting down the games while people were playing them. Games that they paid to play. Could be fun but poorly managed at the time I was there with my family.
Service from the bar was subpar below subpar the environment overall was fun and we did enjoy ourselves with fun and games although it was very odd to see young children and babies at such a late hour of the night where most if not all adults were drinking.
This place was great. Games were cheaper than most places, everything was clean and we really enjoyed coming in here.
My family and I went last night and it was great. The drinks are really good and still cheap compared to other bars in Omaha. The bartender (girl with brown hair, I didn't catch her name) was super helpful and suggested the mission box to my little brother who loved it. 100% try the box while you're there.
I definitely recommend Capitol Arcade! Stephen is an exceptional bartender whose energetic service and fabulous drinks create a welcoming atmosphere. Make sure to stop by Capitol Arcade and say hello!
First time checking out Capital Arcade and it didn't disappoint! We thought the arcade games were fun and the atmosphere was enjoyable to be apart of. Love and Roseali took great care of us when we were there. Thank you for a great experience and we will definitely be back in the future!
I had gone just earlier and it was a great experience until a girl with brown hair who claimed her name was Love had been extremely rude to my fianc? and I. She started out by making flirty comments to him and proceeding to make disrespectful remarks towards me. I was confused about the whole situation so I asked respectfully that she could not say things like that especially because it made us uncomfortable as costumers but in return she became even more vulgar. It got to a point where it was no longer enj
Fun place few games were broke claw machines were definitely a rip off and the floor was sticky other then that it's a good time
Took the family out last night. We had a great time. The bartenders was really cool specially the bartender Love had Great energy will be back.
I love walking my kids over to play games on half price Monday's. Great value and a fun time.
They have a preset cocktail list, which is always nice. They have a nice selection of games, but they still need work, as some of them don't work. They also desperately need cupholders on the game machines. Overall, a great place to hang out, and have a few drinks with friends. Food is available to order from DJs dugout
Love and Mark were absolutely amazing. If you're looking for an arcade to go to. This is the one. Service was phenomenal and drinks were on point. We will be back 100%
Steven is kick a$$. Had a blast and we will return. If any boss is looking he made the trip worth while!
Paul and Tyler are amazing bar tenders. One of a kind experience. 10/10
Fantastic place to have fun with our adult kids. Games fit a variety of interests. It is a bit pricey.
Super fun arcade with outstanding service! Aaron was super helpful and I had a great time. Definitely a must see in downtown Omaha. Awesome games, highly recommend!!!
Amazing games and bar tender. Highly recommend. Great experience. 10/10
Really fun place to spend with the family!!!
Awesome spot!! Staff is so helpful and kind, and they've got so many fun game options. If you're in town - bring the family!
Great drinks clean, and fun
I love this place, this is my favorite place the bartenders are great especially Love. Wish that they had T.Vs for sports.
Great idea but having to scan your card 5-6 times or more just to play a game is ridiculous. Not just on certain games but all of them
Old school arcade games and some cool pinball machines
Bourbon and Arcade! Need I say more
Fix your machines. Why do none of them read the card.
It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.
Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.
Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.
Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.
Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.
Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.
Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.
No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
Yes, pinball tables in arcades remain a blast. Their hands-on, skill-driven gameplay delivers a thrill digital games can’t match, blending nostalgia with modern flair. Newer tables from Stern and Jersey Jack feature LCD screens and themes like Avengers or Stranger Things, keeping things exciting. Arcades are seeing a pinball resurgence with vibrant scenes and tournaments like IFPA events drawing crowds. Though less common than video games, pinball’s tactile charm and community vibe make it a standout arcade experience in 2025.
Yes, virtual reality (VR) games in arcades are a top attraction in 2025! Titles like Beat Saber and Half-Life: Alyx deliver immersive thrills with cutting-edge headsets, motion tracking, and responsive controllers. High-resolution displays and spatial audio create heart-pounding experiences, from slashing rhythms to battling zombies. Arcades feature multiplayer VR zones and tournaments, fostering lively communities. VR booths are regularly packed, proving their captivating, next-level gameplay makes them a must-try arcade experience.
Arcade prize games are a thrilling highlight in 2025! Claw machines, skee-ball, and ticket-redemption games like basketball offer a rush of skill and chance, with rewards like plushies, toys, or electronics up for grabs. Modern machines feature vibrant lights, digital scoreboards, and responsive controls, amplifying the fun. The lively arcade atmosphere, with cheering crowds and buzzing energy, makes every win feel epic.
