Newer rink with a fabulous smooth, new wood floor and very friendly staff. Our favorite rink, we drive an hour to skate here!

Great place to go roller skating. Oldie but Goodie rink that reminds me of the '80s. A nostalgic place in Sonoma County.

Fun, safe, and clean with a brand new skate floor. Great for exercise and entertainment. Kids birthday parties are run smoothly. I've even seen an adult birthday party here. They do games, music requests, and food during open skate. They have lessons, general skate, kids skate, and adult skate. A local gem.

This is a great place to go roller skating. It's a throwback to when I was a kid in the '70s and '80s. Right down to the pebble coated walls on the outside and the carpeted bench seats on the inside. Although they call it family skate time, you might not want to listen to any of the lyrics of the music they're playing. Great beats but lots of inappropriate material for kids under the age of 13. All of the staff was energetic and fun. Great accommodations for kids who don't know how to skate, adults who don'

The new wood floors and bathroom remodel was a much needed upgrade. It doesn't smell like old dirty socks anymore! The new arcade games are an added bonus. The adult nights are very fun vibes!

My son's middle school band had a booster night here a couple of weeks ago... Needless to say, we've been hooked ever since! I turned 38 years old the other week and my son brought me back to skate - I bought my first pair of quads here and the staff was SO HELPFUL in helping me make a decision about which skate would be best for me. My (gamer, "indoorsy") son just got his first pair of inline skates for his b-day... We've found our new favorite family activity! My only wish is that they offered monthly mem

This has to be the best roller rink in Northern California. The decor is bright and welcoming, the rink is smooth as glass, and there's arcade games and even a pool table. On top of all this, the facility is clean and well-maintained. 10 stars, Calskate of Rhonert Park!!

I went to the adult skate night with some friends, and it was such a great experience. It was nice not having to dodge little kids. The drink was nicely maintained and the staff were quite friendly. Overall, it was a great experience.

New Nice looking floor but the floor is entirely to sticky good place to skate without fibers. Kid friendly

The place is great! But the guy who is attending NEVER smile! If you are On custoner service you should smile please ??

Great place to rent roller skates ?? and have some fun. Loved requesting the songs too.

The most fun skate experience. Thank you to a wonderful staff.

Had a chance to visit this rink over the past weekend, such a well maintained facility. Employees were friendly and professional. I got a chance to meet & interact with the owner, such a great guy. i would highly recommend this rink to families and all level skaters. The LED starburst is an awesome feature and the rink will be installing a new wooden floor soon, they have a preview up at the front counter. Most definitely will be back!!

Classic roller rink experience that takes you back in time! My daughter loves the DJ music scene at the rink - and has many "requests". The place jumps with music and lights - gotta luv it!

This place was wonderful. Very kind staff and willing to tell you how to use your skates and the skate buddies. Cost more than I expected but the amount of time you get is worth it.

Call Skate! Love the roller skating vibe! Come and have a good time and get your 80s groove on. They have a speed skating team and an artistic team check out both!

I took my daughter here with her school. I want to give a big shot out to Nathan the manager. He doesn't look like he's older than his early 20?s. When my 30 year old skate wheels disintegrated on the rink he was able to explain to me in a few sentences the sizing and hardness ratings for the wheels while helping a couple other folks. He was DJ?ing, managing the food court, rental desk and pro shop, all while exuding a competence that seems all too rare these days. Gotta give a shot out for professi

been coming out here for several years whenever I'm in the Sonoma area, and I really enjoy it! Only downside from my recent visit (hence the 4 stars) the music was WAY too loud my god, it was blasting so hard into my right ear!!

I wanna give a shout out to the dj on Saturday afternoon, my granddaughter?s brake came of and right away he fixed it, i dont know his name but want to say THANK YOU .. Cal skate has great customer service, everyone is nice and helpful ALWAYS.

Minor renovations in the decade long gap between visits but primarily the same since at least the early 80's.

Cal Skate is a great family fun day or an evening out with the adults. They offer classes for all. Beginner kids to adults and so on. Cal Skate has always been great at hosting Skate Nights for local schools as fundraisers. They sponsor local baseball leagues and are very involved in the community.

It's a fun place, but they have races at the end and it cuts into the overall skate time. I was there for a school fundraiser and the last 20 minutes was racing by age. They also had adults race. Afterwards the kids didn't get to skate again. Kind of annoying.

We had the best experience today for my daughter's 6th birthday. We had a lot of last minute RSVP's so when I showed up I asked if we could switch to the party court instead of the room. They were very accommodating and the customer service was outstanding!! Alex was the one helping us today and she did such a great job. Thank you Cal-Skate for making a little girls birthday extra special today!!

Nice place, The staff is very nice ????????

I've been going for about 1 year now, excellent staff. Jean helped me pick out the right skates that were shipped super fast. I usually go on adult night where there aren't any kids around and the staff is really receptive to music requests. Lots of fun and good atmosphere!

Good family fun. My young daughter loves coming here. It is a good place for the family to come, spend time together and get good exercise. They have done a good job updating the place. My only down part is the bathrooms need to be updated and cleaned better through the day.

Updated floor is really nice and easier to skate on. Great for date nights and b-day parties.

Been skating here a long time and still love it?? thank you genie for keeping the skating rink open

It's a great place for a birthday party. Kids can go wild in the rink and I don't have to clean up after the party! For the second year in a row, however, they forgot to put our second pizza in when they cooked the first one. The hostess was very apologetic and took care of it. We also had to remind them to bring in the ice cream. All in all a very nice party and we'll be back next year!

So much fun! Cal Skate has been around since I was kid and i still love going to this place. Very clean and a friendly helpful staff. Good prices with lots of options depending on skill level or what u want to do. Birthday party packages are great for kids and their friends. Fully stocked snack bar with lots of extea video games fun for those not skating or wanting a break. Just went to adult night on Wednesday and had a total blast with my friends and fiance. Cant wait to go back and get funky on some quad

My best friend was kidnapped by Uzbekistani terrorists 13 years ago. He was never found.

We had a birthday party for my daughter there and the private room was way too small for 10 kids plus parents and gifts... I have serious nastalga when it comes to Cal Skate and we had a good time skating, however, the facilities are worn down.. especially the bathrooms. The food is exactly what you would expect from a skating rink and it would be really nice if someone would try to renovate this place. Bottom line, I will never have a party here again in it's current condition because it just wasn't worth

I love Cal Skate of RP! This place has all the stuff I remember as a kid going to the roller rink, it brings back that happy feeling! It's really great fun for adults and kids alike. They have lockers for your stuff, tons of games and concessions. You can rent skates or bring your own and they waive the rental fee. The entry is affordable and they have a space for private parties too.

It's a nice place. It has no problems. The arcade isn't the best there is, but it works. There are interesting games every so often on the rink; that's pretty fun. The food bar works well too.

The floors are weird! They seem to be large squares of maybe linoleum? And in many places the seams are lumpy. I don't feel super comfortable skating on them. But the decor is cute and they have great lights and music.

I took my 3 granddaughters to skate on Saturday (1/29/22). We had a fun time as usual. I was highly disappointed that masking was enforced in any way. I suppose that about 50% of the people were properly masked ... and an even mix of the remainder had masks lowered or were wearing no masks at all. There were no PA announcements asking people to observe proper masking.

Great ambiance and welcoming vibe. The best part was the new DJ, @dj.ga!!! Keep up that energy, please ?????? I wish that the floor was made of wood, but the linoleum provides a smooth enough ride.

It was my nieces birthday and we only had about 30 minutes left the skate, Unfortunately due to Covid at the rink closes a little bit earlier than it used to. But thank God for Nathan we had driven from very far to come to the skating rink and Nathan met us with a smiling face and we had the best customer service experience. He was friendly kind and was happy to accommodate my niece?s birthday even if it was just 25 to 30 minutes of skating. We appreciate halisco but most of all we appreciate Nathan thank y

No problems at all!!!! The best place to go if you wanna have fun!! Although the food there is really expensive, and trashy, my family had an amazing time there. You can even have song requests!!! And for birthdays IT'S COMPLETELY FREE TO SKATE THERE!! aWEOSME!!!

Last time I went to Cal Skate was in 1986 I was 11years old. It still looks the same! Absolutely Amazing!! I spent every day during summer there. Thank you for being in business after all these years..

I love family run businesses, they are very nice. The skating area very nice, and they play fun music to skate by, but parts of the building are dated (like the bathrooms, counter areas). We go to the homeschool skate time slots and the $2 tuesdays after it. Check them out! They do birthday parties, but the one I went to recently they seemed very hard nosed about the rules.

Epic. $15 Adult Night every Tues 6:30-8:30pm. Includes skate rental.

A fun skate rink with a good community feel. They participate in skate nights with proceeds going to the local schools. Some of the equipment and rink floor could use some love, but overall a great place.

They could be a bit more cleaner. Some of people in particular weren't really doing there jobs correctly. Most of them our teenagers. Don't people train people anymore. Then i asked for fresh popcorn. She gave me fresh but also mixed it with the stale popcorn which wasn't exactly tasty. But all in all its a skating rink. Guess i cant be to picky lol ????

It's nice place to pass on family. Kid's enjoy a lot. But really need install kind of protection at the Walls. Accidents happen, and maybe somebody hit her head on the ?? wall.

The carpet may be be old and the interior hasn't changed in a couple decades, but the fun and lovely atmosphere is as great as ever. Rarely crowded. Roller derby classes for all ages and levels.

Awesome place to skate. Friendly staff and nice music

A lot of fun. They have these pvc frames to help novice skaters stay upright. My only complaint is that it costs five bucks to rent a frame, but people who don't want to pay the money will take yours if you leave it unguarded. So keep an eye on your frame, if you get one.

I went for a friend's birthday and had a good time, but... Not for the skating or available food. I'm clearly not getting back in skates anytime soon, but I'll hit up the skeeball in a heartbeat! Awesome people watching. Wished there was a whackamole! And air hockey table were calling my name... We'll go again, but skip the skates and eat elsewhere.

The facility is good with plenty of different activities throughout the time. My problem was with the equipment rentals. At first the inline skates they gave me were coming off the bottom and were so slanted they weren't usable. They insisted that all of the size 12s were like that so I was eventually given a refund. After the refund another person looked at the skate and looked and found another set that were in fine condition, or so I thought. After about 15 minutes I noticed the front wheel on one side w

The floors are a little uneven but it's a nice big place and kept favorably well. They sell Candy Girl skates too. Sunday night is all you can eat pizza night.

Monday morning kids skating is so great! Loved the very nice an patient woman (Irin?) who took some extra effort to show our daughter how to skate! Thanks for the nice start of our holiday week!

Great speed skating team. The team (north coast ininline racing) provides a fun and safe environment for people of all ages and skill level, to participate in a fun and exciting sport. The team also re-coats the floor every year. Making the rink more enjoyable for all visit.

Looking forward to getting back after the stay at home order. Jean is an excellent instructor and so knowledgeable. Great skates! Excellent gear.

Love this place! First time back since the remodeling that took place during covid. The place looked great! I just wish the rink walls had cushion.

One employee running the whole show and he rocked It! From DJ, to the concession stand, to renting skates he was everywhere and always upbeat with a smile. Really amazing job

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s it like visiting an arcade today?

It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.

Is it better to go alone or with friends?

Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.

What should I bring to an arcade?

Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.

What’s the best time to visit an arcade?

Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.

Can I meet new people at arcades?

Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.

Are arcades still just for kids?

Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.

Are there events or tournaments I can join?

Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.

What if I’m not great at arcade games?

No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
