Came to town to visit my family and my cousins and I decided to go bowling here. Location was clean and it was nice to see all the families out bowling. We used the glow in the dark side which was fun. Travis was a great help with his great customer service. Only downside was the lack of large bowling balls for those with fat fingers.
I went with a girlfriend for my birthday and we had a blast. 1 drink each and few games and a delicious pretzel. It was fun! I definitely recommend this place.
Went back to Cal due to Keystone closing in May for league. I am less than satisfied with the conditions of the approaches and the lanes. If you want to host a party this is a good place. If you want to bowl league, find another house.
SINCE KEY STONE BOWLING IS CLOSE THE TEAM BOWLS HERE. NICE CLEAN PLACE AND BIG. CLEAN RESTROOMS. THEY HAVE 2 SNACK BARS. BUT THE FOOD IS OK. NOT GREAT. BUT WHEN YOUR HUNGRY YOU TRY ANYTHING.
All is can say is good food great people wonderful staff an did I say good food new to bowling so I'm definitely coming back the family an I definitely enjoyed our 2 hrs on the lane no outside containers which I can understand but if you like me an always drinking water they got you 32 ounce cups of ice water as many as you can drink I'm in love!!! Definitely a 10 out of 10 to me.... They have my letter of recommendation an you reading it go check them out you won't be disappointed an try the chicken strips
I had a great time celebrating my birthday the staff is really nice and their food was great too. The fried chicken was a big hit . We purchased more ??
Cal Bowl is my local bowling alley, but fully loving it as an adult joining Mega Vegas Tuesday nights with my husband and our two friends! The staff are beyond great, pro shop guys are friendly and knowledgeable, and our league teams are the best!! KINGPIN has yummy food as well!!
We love to bowl at Cal Bowl in Long Beach. Bowling with long time high school friends and family. It's clean, family friendly and you can have a great meal, or a tasty snack. The staff Mike, Joyce and many others are very nice and very helpful running the bowling alley. Stop in and say hi.
We had fun and it was not crowded at the time we went. The employees seem nice just kind of bored with their job. I must point out it is so outdated and there is a faint odor it needs a deep cleaning. I'm sure there are nicer bowling allies so I'll go here in a pinch.
Little crazy with the amount of people, but overall the place was energetic and pleasant.
Great time and nice staff! Lane 15 was having a little bit of issues but over all of was ok.
Customer service was very rude! Did not explain why we can't bowl but then he said it's $25 a hour ??
It was fun at Cal Bowl. Really in enjoy the game we play two rounds. The first around I lost and second around kicking butt. Yes it blast as ever. Thanks Cal bowl for good times.
Omg!!..I had so much fun for my birthday ?? at this place!!...I lost but it was fun trying!!!...can't wait till round 2!
I had a great time. We played on their new projector, which was awesome! Overall, 9 out of 10
Been coming here all my life feels like a second home...
Very dirty the restrooms and all the atmosphere are very old. I prefer other bowling location
Need some improvements, The price to bowl is really high, but the balls are all chipped up, and it isn't very clean
Had a Beautiful time with my middle son, he didn't know pop's was that good i was on fire tonight
Nice place to go bowling gets pretty busy at night Plenty of lanes tho so no worries.. They open the snack shop at around 6pm.. They do Disinfect the shoes after you turn them in with some lysol spray..The Manager there Edward is really nice..Would recommend giving it a try.. You pay for every hour you want to play as many people you want..
I came here with some friends to celebrate a birthday - overall, I really like the vibe here, and I haven't been to THAT many alleys, but I don't recall seeing one with 68?? lanes! It almost looks like a mirror image (maybe it was - just kidding). I would definitely come back
I made reservations through their website (online) and picked the spark option so I paid $120 for 5 people to bowl. When my husband arrived he had the email verification, QR code and all other documentation showing that the lane had been reserved. When he got there the employee asked for him to furnish the credit card that was used to purchase the reservation. So he called me and I told him that when we purchase things online of Captial One Credit card automatically jumbles the number for security purpose
I only visited the bar and bought beer but the bar tender was cool. The vibe was chill.
Cowboy bowl is great, got there that day no waiting plenty of lanes. Good times.
Awesome family fun. Game room is awesome prices are good food is good bartender hooks the drinks up strong. Xtreme bowling available.
Awesome place to make new friends
I love this place. Very quite perfect for kids only 1 thing to complaint. They need to do better cleaning the bathrooms.
I had a fantastic time at Cal Bowl; alley! The lanes were well-maintained and the bowling balls were in great condition. The staff was friendly and helpful, providing us with everything we needed for a fun night out. The atmosphere was lively and upbeat, with music playing and the sound of strikes echoing throughout the alley. The snack bar had a good selection of food and drinks, perfect for refueling between games. Overall, it was a great experience and I can't wait to go back!
I love the Sunday specials. The dinner is clean and friendly. My husband and I love this place. ??you guys need to eat at the dinner the food is amazing
Cater to bowling leagues more than anything, but a decent alley nonetheless
I highly recommend Cal Bowl for a kid?s party. My seven year old had a blast at his birthday party, and the kids really enjoyed the cosmic bowling. You get your own private area, and Cal Bowl also provides pizza and drinks. Also comes with an arcade pass. The whole party package was very reasonable.
The staff was friendly as well and the location is clean.Cool place to hang out. The 2 of us bowled for an hour and a half that gives you about 5 games... We went about 4pm the snack bar doesn't open until 5pm just a heads up??.
Very large and a great place to enjoy yourself.
Great scoring system with smart phone integration makes it easy to focus on the game or the fun you're having with your friends. The equipment is well maintained and the space is clean
Very clean and organized, plenty of parking in front or on the sides.
competitive bowling always challenging cool snack bar arcade and best of all good drinks and prices in the bar
I've been coming here since I was a little kid. Great place to take the family or a date. They have a full bar, and Saturday nights are usually pretty crowded. I've never ordered any food there, but I know they have pizza and wings that kind of fare. All in all we love it.
Super affordable. This is the most affordable place to bowl. They have lots of lanes. The atmosphere is amazing. The employees are so helpful. You have questions they will help you answer them. The arcade is super fun. I highly suggest this place for awesome fun.
Up from San Diego for a bowling tournament. Lanes were fine but the approaches were very sticky making things difficult.
Ripoff! Okay I get it, it's Sunday night. Peak time, inflation?.. No price per game. By the hour only $70 per hour! That's right, other than I rounded up a penny from $69.99 I am not exaggerating. They really tried to charge me $70 an hour. I asked if they could do anything about the price, possibly a discount for a disabled veteran. I told him I was a league bowler at their other locations (Westminster lanes) trying get back from an injury. He said sorry no discounts and rudely looked away and started h
Family fun. Arcade and frozen yogurt on site. Good pricing after 9pm weeknights. Cosmic bowling weekends. Minus one star because surrounding is getting pretty dirty. Friendly staff.
Cool to go bowl every now and then. We had fun.
Last 2 times waz here it was bombb...highly recommend lol
Be glad when this place goes out of business.
Good family outing, prices can be bit high paid $77 for there pairs of shoe rental and 90min of bowling time..
It was ok they just need better music ?? but the food was hella good shout out to the cooks best bowling alley food I ever had. Work on the the music entertainment an yall be top 10. But all in all I would recommend Cal Bowl
First time there I enjoyed it very big bowling alley there's enough room for everyone to bowl and enjoy a PEACEFUL evening out with the FAMILY?
It used to be a good time. The crowd has definitely changed. There was an altercation and shooting tonight. Folks running and parents trying to get children into safe spaces...it was disheartening to see.
TOOK GRANDCHILDRENS THEY LOVED IT GOING BACK IN 2WKS..
I visited on a Sunday morning. I guess it was a horrible time to go. All the lanes were busy due to all the league players. So I had to take what they had and me and the family went to play in the cosmic area. I'm not a pro bowler more intermediate. But the lane left some horrible burn marks on my personal bowling ball I guess cause the lanes don't have that much oil. Which sucks, the bumpers stopped working for the kids. We called for service and no one showed up so the kids were playing with out bumpers a
Great place for family fun
Josh was a excellent customer service. He help us to get a line to play.
Nice, clean, well lit. I love how this place has automatic bumpers . Just put a check by the person's name and they go only go up on their turn. You can pick different themes when adding players and go through a quick game.
Cal Bowl Is fun & is a great place to just enjoy yourself!!!
The ?? alley was fun!! It was clean and friendly. The snack bar was good. We had pizza ??; fries; onion rings etc all tasty. I recommend for a group of friends family or coworkers.
Nice staff! The lanes were messing up so often that we ended up losing valuable play time. At the price per hour, that was lost money over just fixing software and lane issues. I don't recommend.
I went for my Grandson party he was happy and I was to
10/07/24 M@5:00p Had a great time bowling into the Cosmos bowling was great for 4 people including 4 games & 4 shoes all for $13.49 p/p = $54.99.
Great knowledge and great people
Updated review** I had to give the extra star after our recent party for my son. Jonathan and Leonard are so nice and helpful. Our party hostess didn't make it the day of our event so Jonathan took over and he was THE BEST! He was on top of EVERYTHING, he was fun and great to get along with yet still professional. We will request him as our host if we have another party. I forgot to mention the bartenders....there used to be an older woman who always helped us and she was so nice. I believe she retired and
Nice place for a little family fun. It's been around forever and it doesn't have very modern equipment (ie:vending machines only take cash) and the walk-up "cafe" has weird hours but all can be overlooked if you're just looking for a game or two. Sunday morning has special deep discount hours if you are on a budget.
Cal bowl is a great place to enjoy a fun evening with friends and family. Great staff and a fun environment. Prices are great for any budget. They have plenty of food options as well as drink options. One of my favorite places to enjoy the evening.
Cal Bowl is a great place to have your bowling party. There are two fantastic places on site to order your food. The staff is friendly and helpful and the pro shop can get you the right equipment for you.
It was really nice! I was there for a birthday party. Staff was nice, everything was clean. They have a snack bar and pizza. The pizza was actually pretty good. It was a pretty big. And shockingly not packed for a Saturday at 4pm. I would definitely come here again!
It was my neices birthday ?? ?? ?? ??
This place has been a fave of mine for the past 20 years, but sadly they do not care about protecting customers that want to bowl and feel safe at the same time. Came for some family fun, but left as we were almost the only ones wearing a face mask, as the mandate that is currently in place requires. We did not feel safe and had to leave, and staff did not seem to care at all. Also, did not see any disinfecting of the equipment while we were there. Sad!
We had a small party for my daughter's. Compared to four other Alley's, their package was very reasonable price wise. All 15 kids had a great time. The staff was friendly, but very busy; be patient. Serval eating establishments adjacent to the facility, including a desert place. Convenient.
Nice place to be witj friends and family. Clean place.
Went here during a trip to Los Angeles with my grandfather. Good bowling alley, nice lanes, predictable oil patterns, but VERY hard to carry. Lots of corner pins and it's definitely a challenge. Think the pin decks need some calibrating.
The only reason I gave it 1 star is becauseyout have to rate it. I don't remember the food being good or not because I was to busy fanning flies that were coming in the open door with no screen. The door was open because there was no air conditioning. The seats to the booth were broken and scooting all around the floor. It was horrendous. The only thing I recall being good was lemonade and cornbread. The prices are too high to dine in such a filthy broken down place. Never will I return until they
You just get to have lots of fun. It's a great atmosphere. Wish that they have more healthier drinks and food. But other than that. It was totally worth it
Great Place take your kids but unfortunately when it's busy or dead there is no lane available. And no one to help. They just take forever. Not enough games for the arcade and the ticket booth no one was there to help.
I bowl here every week for league. It's expensive as all get out on the weekends, but during the week, it's coo I guess if you're in a league cause of the price difference.
I've been coming here since I was a teenager, I am now 36 now. Great atmosphere.
The staff was nice and accommodating to my large party. All of the equipment working with no issues, good food & drinks. No complaints, we all enjoyed ourselves.
The staff was rude. Fun place if they would've been less rude.
There were issues with ball returning, but they not only addressed that...also, offered to move me to another lane AND added time to my session.??????
I was there with my mom. She bowls in a senior league on Monday afternoons. Good vibe with the people. You can buy food there or walk right out the door to some fast food places. I would recommend it.
Last weekend I was running late with my group of friends to our reservation for a friends birthday. I got off work late and dinner took longer than expected. I called, and Tyler was kind enough to push my reservation a bit later with still having the same amount of time to play! I am such a time freak that I hate being late to things. But he was the best in helping and still made the night the best. Calbowl has been my go to for bowling lately. Great environment
Showing signs of older equipment but the prices are good on special days. Pro shop staff is very friendly and helpful.
This place was absolutely gigantic, yet surprisingly not super loud. It was like traveling back in time because the decor (and possibly the shoes) looked like they hadn't been changed since 1988. Prices were reasonable. We all had a good time.
GOOD PLACE TO GO TO BOWL
Love that they allow children to bowl past a certain time. Just wish the food stayed open a lil later
Good prices. Not too crowded for a Sunday. An employee (Jaun) was rude but that didn't stop us from having a good time. I wish they had the a/c up more. It was hot. If they know it's getting crowded they should compensate for it! That was the only other complaint we had. We will definitely go back.
Kids birthday party on the cosmic bowl side. Pizza was really good. Kids had a great time but I feel bad for the flooring lol.
Great fun and drinks
I bow in the Vegas outlaws. It's one big family. We have so much fun in this league. If you want to join the league for the summer, check this league out.
Always a great time. Very clean, employees are super friendly! Had drinks at bar, bartender Maryanne was amazing!! Love this place have been coming here since I was kid!????
It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.
Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.
Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.
Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.
Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.
Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.
Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.
No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
Arcade prize games are a thrilling highlight in 2025! Claw machines, skee-ball, and ticket-redemption games like basketball offer a rush of skill and chance, with rewards like plushies, toys, or electronics up for grabs. Modern machines feature vibrant lights, digital scoreboards, and responsive controls, amplifying the fun. The lively arcade atmosphere, with cheering crowds and buzzing energy, makes every win feel epic.
