Cafe Annie's

Cafe Annie's

Reviews Summary

The consensus highlights exceptional burgers, friendly staff, and a cozy atmosphere, with many praising the fresh, made-to-order food and generous portions. The place is clean and offers a unique bar-style dining experience. However, it's strictly 21+ due to gambling, which some found unclear or inconvenient. While most reviews are glowing (5-star), a few mention issues with smoke, service attitude, or age restrictions. The Brunch Burger and onion rings are standout menu items. Overall, it's regarded as a hidden gem for burger lovers, though the gambling-focused environment may not suit everyone.

Customer Reviews

The burgers were cooked fresh and perfectly. Service was great also. This is an over 21 establishment because it is a single counter bar with a caf? feel and gambling in the other room. It is currently no smoking; however, there is an "old smoke" smell. It isn't so overwhelming that it detoured us from eating but something to be aware of if you are scent sensitive.

Really good burgers, fries/onion rings at a very reasonable price. Really good food just not a typical restaurant atmosphere. It's all bar seating with a gambling parlor.

WOW, how have we missed this place traveling thur for years? Note: Everyone must be 21 to enter even to eat only due to gambling. Tip in cash only. Otherwise, credit cards are accepted. Terri was working the bar for food & drinks. The food was freshly made and tasted great. Prices are very reasonable for the food and drinks (do sell alcohol).

I love this place, good food good drinks, good atmosphere but the last three visits with the day turn manager C., Her attitude was short, disrespectful and rude.. the first 2 visits, I had a good rapport with C.talking about hospitals where each lived and so on. So I'm not sure what changed, maybe because I had asked her how I like my drinks made, ice filled to the top the liquor and then the mix with a lime on the side. I had asked her could u put ice in it next and her response was" Ur going have to giv

We went to eat great burgers and fries per other reviews. Why has NO one said you have to be 21 to Enter? Outside door says NO children as well. When we went in the second door was locked and had to be activated to open from inside. Upon entry everyone at the bar? which included 5 patrons and a female bartender turned to look at us. No one said hello or welcome or how can I help you. Very Smokey from all inside smoking. I looked around for a few seconds, still no help from bartender, and then turned around

Great food great people!!

It is a gambling cafe/ bar. No one under 21 permitted inside building. The staff are super nice. Everyone that goes here is also nice. They do serve food. Flat top and friers. I recommend the burgers.

Megan was absolutely amazing. She cooked us up some great burgers and onion rings. Nice quite atmosphere. Definitely will be going back.

I love this place. It's extremely cozy. The Bartenders are awesome as hell. I've been too alot of gambling joints. Their either too dirty, or too loud .. and this one is neither. It feels like home and the guests that come in are also very friendly. I love the snacks put out daily while your gambling. The food is okay for me but others love it which everyone has a different taste. I haven't tried everything on the menu so I can't give a 5 star just yet.

Terry was an absolute delight as my server! The food was incredibly fresh and inexpensive. I got the steak & cheddar burger w fried cauliflower and it was so good. Will definitely come back!

Good bar food! Gamble if ya want too! Good people, Have few drinks while there. Nice place

The best spicy burger I've ever had. Made to order right in front of you.if you love a good burger this place is a must!

I've been here countless times. The grill/bar area is my favorite place in the area to go eat. The food is always prepared fresh and in front of you, and the food and drinks are very reasonably priced for the portions. The drinks are great and they have the best Long Island Iced tea around. FoTheres a gambling parlor on site for those who enjoy gaming. I would highly recommend

We came into this place thinking it was a cafe but really what it is is a small betting establishment. They do serve food at a small bar and the food was quite good. It's sandwiches basically with small sides. The people were very nice and very welcoming. You do have to be 21 to get in because they do have gambling machines in the back.

Food Was awesome! Service was awesome the machines was tight and didn't win nothin. Lol but had fun

The best little place for burgers and fries. My husband loves burgers so we try them no matter where we are. The guy at the bar was awesome and a great cook. We have seen this place on our way to pick up trailers in indiana since 2004, we are sorry it took us 14 years to finally stop. It's a small menu but good comfort food. The place is spotless ..i'm m sure you could eat off the floors. Its got a cute bar you sit and watch them cook and eat, no tables but I find that as cool. Also you must be 21 t

Great food and quiet atmosphere. Terry, the bartender/server was AWESOME! We will definitely be back! Gotta try the burgers!

Always a great experience when we visit! Great food and great prices! Very friendly staff! Food is made fresh from fresh ingredients right in front of you. The Brunch Burger is absolutely amazing and a must try if your a burger lover like myself!

Today we finally stopped to check it out! The food was great and the worker Terri was so nice n helpful!! We are definitely going again!

This is a hidden gem of Tridelphia! The food is spectacular, and the portion sizes are generous. The cafe is very comfortable, new modern machines and a very cozy environment. This is by far my favorite spot for lunch now. I wish I could come more often!!

Terry is an amazing bartender and cook!! I highly recommend it. The service was wonderful

It's a poker machine place where you going to gamble they can cook you a burger so you get free chips and Candy if you play the machines and maybe a free drink or so. The people real nice and friendly. So if you got some money you want to give away stop by and throw it in a poker machine. You never know you might win.

Absolutely Excellent burger (and rings)!!!!!!! Small eating area, but you need to pay Annie's a visit.

Bacon and bleu burger was very very good. Fast and friendly service. Caroline waited on us. I am soo glad we found this place !! Definitely will be back. Can't wait until next time ???? Hope it is soon.....

This is not a cafe! It is 7-8 stool bar -NO TABLES- and a 5-6 machine "casino". The bugers were good but the sides so-so. Alex the bartender / cook / casino "boss" was extremely friendly. It made for a good story for the ol' geezer road trip 2017.

Clean & friendly. Great flat top burger! FYI, 21+ only & smoking allowed in the gambling area but not in the dining area.

I really could never say enough good things about this place. Terry was wonderful

Had a great meal. Wore gloves and were very hospitable. Will definitely go back! Portions are huge!

Nice little place to stop for a bite to eat and gamble if you want. The burgers are delicious every time!

Absolutely amazing experience, the service and food was impeccable, Absolutely love Terry.

Gotta wonder if the service includes more than burgers if you have to ring a buzzer to get in! Just make it clear in your media presence either what you ARE or what you ARE NOT. Nothing about the place is a "cafe".

Sign on the front door said no children under the age of 21 allowed! So We just turned around and left! Why should you have to be 21 to eat anywhere? Sounds suspicious to me!

The service was.. interesting.. but the food tasted fresh & very good.

One of the best burgers around, and can't beat the great prices.

Been going here since the day they opened! Great burgers and good people!

Not what I expected from the reviews. It's a bar. But the food was awesome.

Great place to eat companies nice and you always got the slots and smoking if you want

Nice place to unwind.

Fun little place!! Great fried mushrooms and beer! Highly recommend if you're in the area. Must stop in.

This is the best place for a fresh handmade burger, but everything on the menu is amazing. If you want an amazing meal, large portions and a fair price, you have to come here. You have to be 21 to enter. I tell everyone to come here, you'd never suspect this little caf? has the best food in the area.

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s it like visiting an arcade today?

It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.

Is it better to go alone or with friends?

Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.

What should I bring to an arcade?

Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.

What’s the best time to visit an arcade?

Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.

Can I meet new people at arcades?

Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.

Are arcades still just for kids?

Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.

Are there events or tournaments I can join?

Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.

What if I’m not great at arcade games?

No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
