Burger Barge

My friend suggested Burger Barge. He used to go there like 30 years ago while in college. He's told me about it several times but I rarely get down that way. I happened to be in the area Friday with another friend and got a call asking where I was so I told him and he reminded me of the Barge. To shut him up I went there and I'm so glad I did. The food was excellent and the atmosphere was really cool!!! I'd absolutely go back!

Good place for kids. The food was decent. Shared the fish bowl with one other person and it was good at first but then very syrupy. We finished the whole thing and didn't even catch a buzz and made my stomach hurt. Pretty sure there was not any alcohol in it! I would take the kids there again just not order the fish bowl or any of the fufu drinks, stick to beer!

The food's delicious flavors were a true delight to experience. The attentive service provided an extra layer of enjoyment to the meal. The atmosphere created a welcoming and memorable ambiance. The variety of activities available added to the overall appeal. It was a truly wonderful experience.

We sat in the bar area which had our preferred laid back, funky vibe. The food and drinks were both fantastic. Waiter was super friendly and happy to help. Will definitely go back.

Again updating my review again. Stopped in again. Keeps getting better as time passes, drinks are better for sure and the burger is always good for sure. Well, I'm upgrading my review today. We ate in the game room since the tikibar was pretty warm. Our waiter was awesome. He was attentive and took care of us very well. Food was way better today and was like the old Barge.

We loved this restaurant! We went here wet and cold with hungry kids. It was perfect, the decor was fun and interesting to look at. Service was great, burgers were huge and came out fast. The kiddos loved everything, they ate their fried fish, and part of my burgers and a ton of fries. It's very kid friendly with booths or tables to choose from and coloring books. The bathroom was clean, so was the whole restaurant. We loved it, prices were great. Highly recommend going here with the family.

I was looking forward to eating here for so long based on the photos online. They must have great social media marketing skills on their team, because it was nothing like what was posted. Not bad! The food and drinks arrived in a timely manner and the staff was kind. The burger was very filling (which is good). We got onion rings as our appetizer and they were great with the sauces they came with. The Tavern Burger and $2 blueberry margaritas were amazing. The $3 Bloody Mary bar looked delicious. Will definitely try that next time.

We love coming here on Sundays for the bloody mary bar. Great seclection of unique burgers and a whole lot more. We are always trying something new. Never had a bad time at the Burger Barge.

Pretty decent place to eat. Looking at the place it looks like a place you would want to skip. Don't let looks deceive you. Pretty decent burgers, pricing wasn't too bad either. Very big burgers. The river chips are awesome. Staff seemed pretty friendly when we where there and it was pretty busy being a Saturday noontime lunch rush. I would recommend checking them out.

So, this place has been on my foodie bucketlist for awhile now. Everytime we are close to this area, someone has always picked somewhere else to eat. The chili cheese fries are really good, but the burgers patties are barely seasoned, so the burgers are pretty bland. This makes it pretty overpriced for what you get. It's a mid burger joint with the Wish version of Margaritaville esthetic. Probably won't go back, as there are a hand full of better, cheaper burger joints, closer.

This place needs a review from Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives! Huge burgers and great fries! The staff is friendly and the family friendly atmosphere is awesome! Definitely will be back when we are in the area.

Came in from out of town and at first glance was very unimpressed the outside and inside it's very rundown looking and dirty like they don't do alot of maintenance and really makes you question what the kitchen looks like since general maintenance and cleaning seemed to be thrown aside for a long time. ALL THAT ASIDE.. the food was fair priced and absolutely delicious. I got the Philly steak and my fiance got the IL burger and we both left very happy with our meals!

I had wings, shrimp skewers, and a burger. Everything was very good. Nice place for a walk. Friendly people. Seems to only be open on the weekend, but I'm glad I stopped in. Food was great, and the site was cool to see. I highly recommend checking this place out when in the Peoria area!

First off, if you're looking for an upscale ritzy place... This ain't it! But if you're looking for an unassuming no frills place with awesome food and atmosphere, this is the place! Honestly walking in you already know its an escape from traditional dining. This gives Bay area vibes. This was our first visit and they did not disappoint. Wonderful selection of burgers, and it was $2 raspberry margaritas day, yummy. Just an FYI, the big Kahuna burger was as round as my big German noggN (maybe not but it was big). You can definitely split it. Fried clams were good too. Went here last year for the first time when I was pregnant and thought it was amazing. Now I've gone back since having my baby and it was just ok. A bit outdated. A cute theme, but maybe it's time to modernize. The meat to bun ratio was disappointing, with the bun being way too big. In essence, it's a burger. The dock sauce needs to be more spicy or have a bigger kick, it was tastless. The staff was good, service time was reasonable. The fried cheese blobs were actually pretty good. At first it is unassuming but you walk in and it is a light fun environment. The service was great but the nail thing was the food I had the Andre burger big Kahana and it was the most juicy burger that I've had in a while.

Very nice ambience, delicious burgers and nice music. Manager and staff very friendly. When we arrived the manager made us feel welcomed. Inside looks as if you were inside a barge. They also have a place for children with a full Arcade.

It's not what it used to be, but we can honestly say that about anywhere. The food is good, they have some great hush puppies for apps, and I can't say enough about the taco chipso burger. Sad to see the OG location go, but the new place is alright, get the old hours back and I feel like it would become great again.

This may be the best burger I've ever eaten, it was delicious! Huge variety of different burgers and it was tough to decide on one. This is a place that feels it would've been massively popular 20-30 years ago, but isn't any more. They have games and skee ball and air hockey, but for whatever reason those may not be the draw that they were for earlier generations. Regardless of the atmosphere though, go here for a burger!

The food was absolutely gross. For a 12 to 15 dollar burger, we'd expect something edible but non of my party could finish their burgers. 2 out of 3 we're feeling sick immediately after eating. I went down at 1:10 PM on a Saturday to place a $100. Pick up order for 5 o'clock and they can't even do that. I was told. never in the history of a restaurant business. I have never heard of a restaurant not being able to handle a time call Used to be a good place years ago I don't know what happened. I was going to call the order in closer to time. But since it's such a big order, I didn't think they would take it without me paying first so I went down to pay for it and was told I could not place it. Good

The double cheeseburger is wonderful. You better be hungry if you order it. And the French fries are great. My family members order different sandwiches and all say they are delicious. The decor could be much better but I didn't go there for swashbuckling atmosphere, I went there to get stuffed with the best cheeseburger in the area.

Burgers are supposed to be thick and juicy, and the Burger Barge didn't disappoint. Everything was awesome from the food to the service. I'm cheap, so the price was a shocker, but we'll worth it.
