We had our kid?s birthday party here. The package and add ons are a good price. I can't complain about that. For the most part my guests had a good time. Like a previous reviews, the older lady and older man are rude and when it comes to being mean to children, you know it's time to retire. They should get the message. I noticed they're also mean to their employees which obviously explains their business. A lot of guests didn't seem too fond of the cake. A lot got thrown out and an employee threw away to-go
We celebrated my son?s 5th birthday at this bowling place and it was a wonderful experience! The team was amazing ? very kind, helpful, and made sure we had everything we needed. Thank you so much! We'll definitely come back again.
Never has a time come that we regretted bowling here. We always feel welcome and the staff is awesome. The lanes are always the best. Pro shop and food at the grill is awesome. What's not to like. Good food and good friends. We love Buffaloe lanes
A very nice place compared to the branch in Cary, a little more expensive and a little more outdated. There was no selection of balls. It was difficult for me to find which ball to play with... there were some errors in the results... for example, I dropped 9 pins, he calculated x, since the device itself clears the surface Faster than the Cary branch so we provided more games per hour Cost per hour for two participants $41 including shoe rental.
Took my granddaughter for a fun activity. Her balls kept getting stuck in the lane. As I'm bowling a lady came over and very rudely told her that will break the machine and she will have to pay $1500 to fix it. Now, I understand if she needed to get a staff when that happened and that the machine may be expensive but to come over and with a tone and an attitude speak to a child is not okay. Speak to the adult or don't speak. And if the tone had been different maybe I wouldn't be so angry right now but the t
They did a really wonderful job. Their Strike package is a tremendous value if you are having a birthday party. All of the kids really enjoyed the experience and best of all it was something where they could all participate in bowling together.
Ive literally bowled here every week for the past 3 to 4 months from 8 to 10 pm. Tonight i was on a great run and asked at 930pm to but more time to finish my 10th frame with 2 minutes left and a score of 219 in the 9th frame. I was rolling great. Yet, when i went to the counter at 930 tonight they magically coulnt sale me 30 more minutes tonight as they have done before. Funny right. I wouldn't be this upset if i had some sort of consistency but what ever the lady name is at the desk " younger looking old
We were a group of 12 and showed up at peak time on a Saturday night. Waited 30 minutes for 2 lanes to open next to one another. Some of the group ordered food, and it took over an hour for it to come out. At one point, the balls got jammed, which took 15 minutes to be fixed. But they were really nice about adding that time back for us.
We had a great visit with kids and parents. Walked in and was bowling in minutes - smooth check in. A great price for 4 bowlers and arcade card too! We will be back.
Johny behaved badly with my family, enabling us to leave there she said I will call the police.
although we arrived 1hr 11min before closing time, the elderly woman said no more customers (even though over half the lanes were open). Felt like discrimination to me ???????. never going back again. RUDE.
We came to this location, Buffaloes Lanes for NC State Tournament. I couldn't bowl, but my husband and his teammates are having a blast. Excellent place to bow, very spacious, and friendly. Check it out!!!
Always great to bowl here. Been coming for over a year and in two leagues. No bar here as it's a family establishment. Beware of that is an issue. I got used to it. ??
Lots of lanes. Good food. Ladies!! Clean restrooms!!!! To the owner, you have no idea how much we appreciate this.
My family was in town and we were looking for something to do that was active and teen friendly. We tried to go to another bowling alley, but they didn't have any open lanes, we ended up here instead. The employees were friendly and great. The prices are a bit high and the shoes were completely warn down.... There was ZERO slide in them at all. The family had fun, but will not go back due to prices. We ordered a loaded nachos, which was also pricey, and just ok tasting.
To my 6yrold twins here for their birthday last week and we had an absolute ball!! I'm not sure which one we enjoyed best, bowling or the game room??. The lady cook could stand an attitude adjustment but don't let her deture you!
I highly recommend this place, Me and my friends and I had a great time bowling. This is great for a family outing.
Good sized bowling alley with 35+ lanes. Big enough for tournaments and corporate events. There's an event room, arcade games, on-site restaurant, and other nice to have entertainment. I went to a corporate event here with nearly 100 people and enjoyed my time. We shared maybe 10 lanes and when we were leaving people were still coming. It's in a decent location off the highway and within minutes of 540. It's not the newest facility but it's being maintained properly.
I like this bowling I have had wonderful time, it not expensive there 42 of bowling lanes
It's an older facility but still relevant. We went to a child's birthday party here and he enjoyed it. There are a ton of lanes, an arcade and three small party rooms. The place is a acceptably clean and all of the games worked.
I've been bringing my kids every week for the last few weeks for the Kids Bowl Free program. It's amazing! Definitely look into it as well as the summer family pass. If you bowl more than a couple times it pays for itself. The bar snacks are always fresh and delicious and the staff is very friendly.
Nice time out with the family. Recently renovated so clean and bright. Will definitely be returning.
I highly recommend this place, very fun to go with family or friends.
I Love Bowling Here. The Staff Are Welcoming, Patient And Professional. The Prices Are Affordable And The Facility Is Clean And Well Maintained With Plenty Of Parking.
Fun and courteous! Wonderful computer system to help with game scoring
This place is awesome I'm gonna take my kids here this weekend..
This is a GREAT place for family. We are all league bowlers so we get half off of the games. Its worth coming just to have fun with family and friends. Enjoy.
Granddaughters 10th birthday party was awesome. Booked online and they did all the work including her cake. Could not have been any better! They had such a good time.
Solid Alley. Food is not half bad. And arcade holds up!
Fun place to bowl. They've improved their food on site. Friendly staff.
Loads of fun for kids. The arcade is pretty great too!
Sunday family bowling, including a 16 yr old teenager. Good times! Clean place and nice , helpful staff! Wasn't to busy when we got there at 1ish, but definitely busier by the time we left. Lots of fun for all ages and skill level.
Great alley for kids parties/late night parties. Been going to Buff lanes North for over 10 years. Love this place. Nothing fancy just a good ole regulation bowling alley. The food is good greasy bowling alley food and I love it. I don't drink but they have beer there. The oil on the lanes tends to be hard to get used to but other than that their facilities are decent and well kept and pretty clean. They have an alright arcade prob best for little kids but in general this would be a great bowling alley for
Wonderful atmosphere for family fun
From the moment I arrived to the alley it lived up to its name...lights non existent as you approach the alley. Check in line was long but moving, food line was non existent but the staff looked defeated, uninterested and one young man even put his head and arms down on the counter. Excusing himself to the back or out of customers vision would have been the play here so he could get sorted discreetly. Trash was overflowing, food was not good and snacks (cookies specifically) could break a tooth if allow
Pretty good overall. Lane monitor graphics are getting a bit dated, but the place is still in good shape. Rest room was clean. There's also an arcade for the kiddos. The parking lot lights needed replacing for public safety, as only a couple of the 8-10 lights were actually working. A burglary is waiting to happen there. I will definitely go there again as it is easy to get in and out if you have a reservation.
The prehistoric old lady up front is so mean and not helpful and almost seems like she hates you even though she doesn't know you. However the guy with the mustache is one of the nicest people i?ve ran into. If you come here you better hope you see him at the front desk.
My wife and I go nearly every Saturday. We are pretty bad at bowling, but we have fun. I really enjoy going here. We haven't had a bad experience yet. Sometimes, the staff can get a little overwhelmed when it is very busy, but they try. The lanes are pretty good and the equipment works consistently. The pro shop has been very helpful with knowledgeable employees. We did have to adapt to the hour system rather than per game system. But, they have reservations now and it would be impossible with the per gam
We had a family party here. The kids and parents all loved it! The bowling was outstanding and the arcade was even more added fun.
We had my daughter's 5th birthday party there. They were so easy and accommodating! Our party hostess was so sweet and friendly. I didn't have to do anything. Stress free and well done. The pizza was good. The cake was delicious. They announced Charlotte's birthday and she felt so special. She loves her bowling pin and her friends liked signing and drawing on it for her. It was so incredibly affordable and fun. I definitely recommend it for anyone looking for a good time at a great price for their little on
Nice place for some family time.????
This lane was awesome, they ran a nice special that was per lane rather than per person making it affordable for our group of 5. The lane itself had automatic bumpers that would rise and lower based on the need of the bowler, so the children could use them but the adults didn't have to, it was amazing, and efficient! We will definitely return there on our next visit to town.
Great family fun! Very clean
I haven't been bowling in years!! Went out with friends and had a wonderful time!
First time bowling. I loved it. The place is great...
When we were here a couple of months ago, I had an amazing time with my friends and my family! Staffs are friendly as well! The food there is kinda bad but other then that amazing! totally will come back! (1/7/23 When visited)
The facility itself is nice enough, but if you are looking for good customer service, look elsewhere. The old woman at the front desk is so very rude. She was awful as soon as we walked in the door and continued to be awful as we got our shoes. At one point one of our kids accidentally dropped his ball and it had to be retrieved by a staff member from the gutter. The old lady came over and demanded to know how it happened, then insisted we have rails on our lane. So glad we used free vouchers so they didn't
Went to Taylor's Pro Sop to purchase a bowling ball and shoes. Staff at Pro Shop was professional and courteous. Was able to accommodate me within an hour. Greatly appreciated.
Great place to bring the kids. Friendly staff
2nd year in a row, celebrating my son's birthday party here. Wasn't aware of the bowling alley and game room renovation, but it looks really nice! The host was professional, polite, and courteous. (ChikfilA customer service!) The food and drinks were good. The birthday cake that they provided was a hit! Everyone enjoyed themselves, Good Vibes!
Some family fun time. Love my babies.
Super nice bowling alley. And staff.
The old lady at the front is definitely mean and doesn't communicate well. And she talks at you and not to you like you're a person spending your money there.
Enjoy it each time we go. Great staff, great atmosphere, great times.
I like bowling here. The lanes play well. The staff is very nice. Entire facility is clean and well kept. There is a bowling pro shop inside the bowling alley. The pro shop owner is very nice as well and extremely knowledgeable to assist folks with bowling equipment purchases. The food is good, prepared and served quickly. The bathrooms are very clean. Handicapped parking and entrance are available.
The place itself is nice, however the staff (just one person really) needs to work better on customer service. Granted he seems young (teenager or early college student) but his attitude was the worst. When you don't understand something and or are unsure, never raise your TONE and roll your eyes. Especially if your receiving payment. I understand long days but there no excuse for that kind of behavior especially if we're not being rude back. (I work in the medical field, I know hard days but still you sho
Nice large bowling center with a great pro shop and delicious and reasonably priced food! Great hosts for State Tournament!
Arcade is nice but games are a bit pricier than other places. Food was good and service was quick. We didn't bowl but those who were looked as though they enjoyed it.
Always a fun place for the family. Food is way too expensive, but that's everywhere nowadays. The atmosphere is very appealing and has been very calm on the nights I have visited.
We just came in to bowl, but apparently tuesdays and thursdays are league days- and it's no availability. not listed on the website at all. the elderly woman at the front desk didn't introduce herself or even say hello, just ?you can't bowl here?. we are of a darker complexion- so i wonder if that was the issue. we could?ve been apart of the league- but she didn't even care to ask!!!
Not a great experience. Bowled 2 games with a group of 7 on 2 lanes. $91. Both lanes seemed to have faulty systems. It would give you a score that wasn't accurate half the time. Someone would knock down 7 pins and it would say it's a strike. 1 pin they would get a 7. Didn't make any sense. When we complained, they said they could move us to another lane (separate our party) or deal with it. Then half way through game 1 they said they fixed it. But when the new game started it was doing it again for some tu
Best family entertainment around! Get the ?Kids bowl Free? for the summer pass. 2 free frames per day & the adults on the pass get to go as well. Took my son for his Birthday and went again a few days later with a friend. Can't beat it!
This place is usually very laid back, chill, and a nice place to hangout. However tonight was everything but. There is an employee that looks teenage/college age (he has a ponytail) who's very disrespectful, he will yell in your face and be very rude and disrespectful. When this is brought up to the managers they will not handle the situation properly. At the end of the day you as an employee should respond and approach any and every situation respectfully when it comes to the customers. Especially when we
Love this place! The lanes are in good condition. The staff is super friendly and the cost of bowling isn't terrible. The snack bar has great burgers at a fair price.
Great place, great staff. Plenty of room, and yes they do cater to kids. They have racks and gutter guards for the little ones. There is also a fantastic game room that is NOT rigged for tickets like a lot of other places. Plenty of parking and fun at a great price.
brings back great memories. I need to start bowling again! That's it, I'm doing it.
Such a fun and stress-free place to have a birthday party! They supply everything you need, other than the guests! My 10 year old son and his friends had a blast bowling and playing in the arcade. Well organized and professional. We will definitely be returning.
Great fun for the whole family! Very friendly staff!
Crowded but nice place, the people next to us were funny, service was good nice employees, food was not that bad, prices were ehhh but fun night.
Everytime I go here I have a great time with my kids. The front desk staff is pleasant and the lanes are good. The tables and chairs are a little outdated, but they are very clean and nicely arranged. The package deals are very reasonable. The food is typical bowling alley food, but the menu is very wide ranging. The ONLY downside to this place is a lack of beer or wine. It is strictly for a family crowd.
Really fun, really clean! And all of the employees were super nice! We had a crew of 7 little kids and they were helpful from start to finish!
The family and I went there today we decided to order some food while ordering a young looking guy was preparing some food and dropped fries on the floor and actually picked them up and placed them back in the bag I immediately told the cashier what we just seen and he acted as if he could less. So I went a step further and spoke with manager about the situation and all she said was thanks for letting her know. At no point while I was there did she go over and address the issue she was in the office the e
Decent prices, not the best ball selection. Decent snack bar, Friendly staff. I would give 5 stars if when they did their night specials, that they had better lighting. It's just straight up dark, no strobe light or spinning colored lights, something so I can see the lane a little bit. The Playlist can be a little odd too. Baby shark at 11pm?
It's a bowling alley. Nothing really stands out about the facilities. The reason for my low score is due to their new pricing scheme. They charge in blocks of 1, 1.5, or 2 hours for lanes instead of per game. I really hate this, because inevitably you end up cut off in the middle of the game. I'm sure this is by design to get you to spend more to finish the game, and it sucks. I'd rather pay for exactly what I want. Instead, you have to pay extra for time you will not use. This also means it's not really v
For a place advertising itself as family and league centric, they don't care about you at all. They are not encouraging or enforcing the mask mandate. You're in there at least an hour if not more. People coughing and sneezing. Protect yourself and your children. I love to bowl, but not here. Spend your money where businesses respect you and want to stay open. This is not one of them.
The place is clean and the lanes are in great shape. We went on a Sunday, and there were lots of families playing. I understand that there's a lot of very casual bowling happening, but there seems to be a lack of bowling etiquette. Expect people in lanes beside you to suddenly run up to throw while you're beginning your approach. If that ruins the experience for you, you might want to consider going during less-busy times.
Every time I've been here it has been a great experience but I took a group of students here and I was pretty disappointed in the customer service. I understand accommodating groups or students can be challenging, but the front desk worker was very rude to our group. The worker was rude to our students as we tried to figure out their shoe sizes as it was their very first time bowling.
Great family fun place! I was there with family and friends and 2 toddler, and it was absolutely great! There is a little something for every age to have fun there!
These idiots said they gave out 6 shoes and one of us couldn't play but they gave us 5 shoes and it took us over 15 minutes to sort it out wasting out playing time.
My friends and I absolutely love this place and are willing to drive the 12 miles out of the way it is every Wednesday and Thursday night. The bowling alley really creates a great family/team atmosphere. I remember first going to this bowling alley and being bummed out that they didn't serve beer, but eventually I saw that it wasn't such a bad thing. Actually, I noticed I enjoyed the atmosphere a lot more and focused more on my bowling and friends vs. drinking/eating. The lanes are well taken care of and th
Never having a birthday party at this place and never going back again! It was my 3 year old's birthday. We had to bowl before we eat (my guests were starving), had us in a back room with the temperature of 50 degrees. Mind you, it was approximately 40 degrees and windy outside, so my guests were freezing. I told Jordan, our "hostess" it was really cold, but she said the thermostat couldn't be touched. She didn't even try to accommodate us. She didn't bother checking with the manager (but I should have). I
No complaints. We had fun. Would've given 5 stars but the bumpers were not working properly. They would come up sporadically and not when they were supposed to.
TERRIBLE SERVICE. if i could give them no stars i would! the ?mechanic? was very rude. white guy looks like a teenage boy with under cut & pony tail. got in my face & when i approached the ?manager? they took up for him. I wouldn't recommend ANYONE going here! VERY UNPROFESSIONAL.
Great place, lots of fun. Good food too
Very nice family friendly bowling alley. We had the Groupon and played two really nice games, plus managed to sneak in some Arcade action before / after. All in all we found the staff was very nice and the alley was well-maintained. Had a ton of fun and will probably be back soon!
Good safe fun for the kids. Lanes are great Bc the bumpers operate automatically. We went at night and felt very safe. No alcoholic beverages which is a pro and a con. Lots of young people having fun and my family had a good time as well. Will come back for sure.
Traditional family bowling alley. Lots of fun, cool game room, good food, friendly staff and cool score-keeping computer with different types of bowling games.
No wait for a lane even though it was almost a full house. Great lanes, plenty of staff at center desk. They need to tell the teenagers to observe lane courtesies. Those with young children need to keep them from running on the wood! No lie, I could've injured 3!!!! It was great to see so many young adults choosing to NOT hang in the streets.
It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.
Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.
Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.
Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.
Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.
Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.
Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.
No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
