Great place to be with a nice atmosphere. Had great experience, but there is some improvement that's needed. I spent almost 30 to 45 mins on the food line waiting for drinks, which wasn't cool .When crowded, there is not much seating. When you bring your kids and they need support skating, get there early so you can grab a( white skate bar) because they run out quickly, and it's very hard to get one Nice music but need to be Kid Appropriate during family hours otherwise 8/10 Ps PLEASE make sure you
I rated it 4 because I was frustrated with the manager and host. The manager expected me to remember our email conversations from October (my party was Feb 1st, 2025). She and I confirmed every detail A WEEK PRIOR to the party. She decides THE DAY OF THE PARTY to contact me at 1:17pm (my party was at 3pm) to ask me to send her an email with the names of the guests. Why couldn't she contact me about it a day prior? I've done parties at Funplex, Urban Air, Catch Air, iPLAY America, and I've never had a manage
I recently hosted my daughter?s birthday party here on March 1st and, unfortunately, the experience was highly disappointing. For the price paid, the level of service and amenities provided were far below expectations. There were insufficient supplies for the food I ordered, including a lack of basic necessities like forks and utensils for the cake? which I was required to bring myself. Shockingly, they did not even provide a cake cutter, which I also did not have on hand. Additionally, there were not eno
The location is located in the middle of the park which was confusing to find. Hey have tons of parking. The place is spacious and has lot of lockers to put your stuff. The dj and music was pretty good. There were a lot of police at the end which was odd and they made sure everyone left. There is a QR code and waiver you have to sign to enter and the cost to skate is pretty affordable. I had my own skates but the public ones seemed cute they are yellow. There was a wide range of teens and adults and ts very
Great skating venue! However, during our recent visit, I had a concern about the music selection. We attended during the designated family time slot (3-5 PM) Sunday January 1, 2025 and were surprised by the type of music being played. With children and families present, it was concerning to hear songs promoting violence, including one about ?shooting up New Jersey? and ?the Block in Brooklyn.? To management: As a family establishment, it's important to be more mindful when curating the music playlist. Plea
This is a wonderful park with a nice track that's perfect for walking or jogging. The area is clean and well-maintained, making it a great spot for relaxing or exercising. Highly recommended!
Was just there this Saturday during the 3pm-6pm block of time. The space and music was cool, however, it was too hot?prob no ventilation because they had to have open doors in the back for air. It was deathly hot! Skates are not sanitized?best to buy and bring your own. Food. Nasty. No ice (so no cold drinks to combat the heat)?slushy machines not working and the fries tasted like it was fried in something other than cooking oil. Line for concession stand was unacceptable?being run and overseen by kids. The
Been here a couple of times, celebrated my daughter?s birthday this past weekend, the staff is friendly but it gets overly crowded so their attention is everywhere. Our host was super nice and attentive, however, he had to continuously do other things. I was told I'd be provided utensils, I just had to bring the cake, which is what I did, it took a while for our host to provide these things. Our daughter had a wonderful fun time! The place is spacious but it get super crowded, at least on the weekends. The
Cool roller rink and vibes. My only complaint is the excessive volume, but other than that cool place to skate, and to check out the talented skaters dancing.
Went out with the while family. Had a great time here. The staff was super friendly and helpful. We all ordered chicken tenders and fries and to our surprise it was all very good. Planned our next trip already!
We had a package deal for our church group. The staff was great. However, the food. It was a big no for me. Our contract called for two slices of pizza per person. In reality, it was one slice of pizza cut into two pieces. And four pitchers of juice for 51 people. In what world!? We weren't happy about that. The staff member was nice enough to give us one more pitcher. Management needs to be better with the food package.
It was pretty busy for an adult skate night. The floor became very packed. If you are unsure of your footing, you definitely need to get there earlier before the pros arrive. Do not bring large bags because you have to store them in lockers without locks.
Nothing beats the branch Brook experience..the vibe is unmatched! Everyone is kind! And there r so many different styles of skaters! U will never want to leave.. it's my Disney land!!
The only thing good about this place is that it's nice and clean. The bathrooms are nicely clean. Now how in the heck your going to have birthday parties with no refrigerator. I would like to know where do you store all of the food. My ice-cream cake melted because you all have no refrigerator which is so silly. OVERALL it was good and so was our hostess when we could find her??????She was so cute
Staff was amazing! Rink was large and well kept. Ample staff to keep kids safe when they fell. Not crowded when we went. (Wed. 1-3, summer). There are ample areas to sit if you are just watching family or friends. Free wrist guards to borrow even if you brought your own skates. IMPORTANT If coming from northern Jersey (like route 3 area) even though it is located in Newark it is still very easy to get to. Music level was very high! I brought noise cancelling earphones. Sign the waiver before you go So sim
Went for a 2nd time on a Sunday for the 2p to 4p skate and it was the perfect amount of people. There's a section to get food such as pizza, wings, soda, water, chips. There are a few arcade games & lockers to put your things in. There's parking available as well right outside. And, FYI this skating rink is indoor and is located inside of a park. You can purchase tickets online & complete the waiver prior to arrival. Fun place to skate!??
Beautiful Rink. Fun birthday arcade. Cool and comfortable birthday party area! Affordable prices. Ample free parking. Delicious and fulfilling food Cafe that has fair and clean dining seats/tables. Phenomenal DJ and staff. I was amazed how well preserved since I haven't been here in over 2 decades. I wish to return soon!
Went here because it was my birthday! 5/6 and to visit friends. I had a good time. I will be going back this summer! If your looking for someone to help you learn how to skate ask for Sugah/ Instructor Shantel!
Went on a Sunday from 11:30am-2:30pm with family and had a great time. Ample parking, Large skating Rink, and friendly staff. Music was a little aggressive for my 9yr old, she was kind of looking for mix of Top 40?s too. I think the music would have been more suitable for late night crowd. Overall would come back again.
We had my sons 8th birthday party this past weekend. We had so much fun! Our host Emeel was amazing very attentive and helpful. Keep up the good work
My 4-year-old granddaughter had her birthday party here recently on the 12th. She had a ball as well as her guests. The staff was very nice and Professional. It was a pleasant experience.
management is all over the place no communication, I called a few times and no call backs. The kids did enjoy.. but its not worth the money and disfunction
Located in Newark, New Jersey love the energy vibes and music Adult Nights are Sunday 8pm-12am with DJ Nile, Tuesdays 7pm - 11pm with DJ Tone & Thursdays 8:30pm - 11:30pm with DJ Dream people travel from all over the world to visit here!
It rlly great there, it so much fun that I went there, when I fell they ask if I'm ok, that rlly good for children that needs help, love this
The birthday came out beautiful, the staff was amazing, service was on point and the kids had a blast. Definitely will be coming back. Thank you for everything.
AMAZING well-taken-care of, cool, clean, and safe rink with nice staff and great music!!!! The adult skate nights are great! Having to show the insurance forms each time is kind of a hassle (is there a way for me to sign the form forever? i'll ask) but I really love this place and I happily make the 30+ drive here when Florham park is closed. They have a live DJ almost always. I recommend coming by! I'm usually a skate size 8 but I went down a size to 7 when renting and it was a better fit, so I recommend g
amazing music!! love that they have those handle cart things for beginner skaters so they don't fall. yummy food, and i?m glad they have seats, arcade machines, and lots of shoes. the rink is really big and this is one of my favorite places especially for a party!!????
Branch Brook Park roller skating rink was a fantastic experience of their rental was easy the kids had a great time everybody loved it and it's just a great outing for families
Great place had my daughter's 10th birthday there. Staff and atmosphere was top notch! Even saw a celebrity..??
Place was clean and fun. Dj needs to have more variety of music. Birthday party host could have been a bit more involved. More entertaining not just moping around. Food was decent. Recommend the chicken wings. Pizza was ah.
Rip off/ money grab . I would recommend this venue to my worst enemy. I came here once before just to skate &loved it all, decided to have my daughter?s 6th birthday here in feb 2025 insanely disappointing experience as a parent. Their party packages &great music was the reason why i chose Branch Brook skating rink. As a mother, I didnt want to do a lot, so the packages offered were great. They handle almost everything. Fyi. I paid over $700. The party was 550ish. anyone other than the 15 kids &2adults t
It's an interesting place. I enjoyed the music; it's a lively place. The drawback is that my entire family caught the flu within hours of visiting the establishment.
No place beats the vibe at all 3 adult skate nights. The staff is amazing, the floor is clean, the lighting and murals are fabulous. As far as skating rinks go, it doesn't get any better.
I recently hosted a 70's-themed skating birthday party for my best friend, and I can't thank the team enough for making it a memorable experience. Kamara, the party manager, was incredibly helpful throughout the planning process. I had to make several changes and adjustments, and she handled each one with professionalism, offering solid suggestions and always being courteous and understanding. The rink itself was spotless, and the staff was incredibly friendly, making us feel at home. The DJ did an amazing
Love this skating rink!! The whole family had a great time and it was fun for all skating levels. The staff was so attentive, helpful, and friendly ? they were right there every time someone fell. I have never experienced such great staff at a rink before. Thanks so much.
My sorority sisters decided to have an outting here so came to support. It has been years since I have been skating so decided to be a spectator. When I arrived I parked in their private lot and there was a line. When I walked on the line they asked if I have a ticket and since I didn't I had to purchase online. That's the only way they accepted tickets. The spectator ticket was $5 and change with taxes and fees. I walked in and boy was it chilly. The event was ok all and all.
This skate rink is really nice. My family and i were in search of a spot that wasnt too far from home. Although this isnt close by, its no where near as far as the location i previous went to in LI. They have sessions of two hours that you can skate. I love the time limit because its perfect when your trying to get the kids together to leave. What i dislike is that we were not allowed into the facility until 3pm on the dot. The line of people trying to get inside was ridiculous and theres only one cashier
The event price was good. I love that they have events with meals included. The music was good. They don't do any of the typical roller rink games (hokey-pokey, dice/number game, racing), change directions, or couple skating so it was kind of boring after a while.
I skate here all the time! I'm from Brooklyn so this is the biggest skating rink near me. I always bring my own skates. Food is good, music is good. Adult night is always lit! Only issue is if you coming from the city without a car, you might have to leave the rink early to catch that last Train.
The Vibe was great but my 9 yr old couldn't enjoy it since they didn't have proper equipment that would help a new skater. She was given one for a toddler ??... Only 3 were for her age group.
As I walked it, the reception was wonderful. Even the officers that guarded the place were so courteous .It was so warm and inviting. They were very nice and they didn't bother me as I skated. Meet a very nice couple . I will be back when it warms up.
This is my second time here and I travel from Brooklyn just to come and skate. And be around good energy, good music, good environment. Like it's just warm. And you meet people who are willing to help u with tricks and get better. I truly thank Tiffany for welcoming me when I first came an because of that warm experience from the Gate!!! I will keep coming back.
I didn't like this rink too much. I went on a Saturday night There's only one rink, so the kiddies and adults skate together....just a BAD idea! At intervals, the DJ alternates and advises the adults/kids to vacate the rink floor so that group can skate. If it's not your group, you have to stand on the sidelines for 15-20 minutes, and wait for the DJ to alternate. Very weird. There was only 1 attendant giving out the skates. Ridiculous for a Saturday night. Needless to say, the line for skates was unbelie
Excellent place! Excellent vibe! Excellent refreshing wind! Great place to chill and relax, you can also fish if you like it.
Took my daughter for a 12th bday surprise. January 10 2025 6-830pm session. It was being promoted as a "Minions" all you can eat pizza party. Not one minion in sight and we were given one very small slice of pizza each. We were also given a small beverage (6-8 ounces). That was literally it. My children were still hungry afterwards. They did have one Hello Kitty character come out for a few minutes, to give out hugs to the children. Deadpool came out to sell merch and take more of our dollars. It just felt
This is a great spot as there aren't many rinks and this is conveniently located. They have food and an eating area. It's cool spot to host kids parties. Family skate is not too crowded and well controlled. Bring a fanny pack or leave your personal belongings behind as the lockers don't lock and people go through my things all the time during adult skate. Fortunately nothings been stolen bc I only pack sneakers and water.
My husband and I love skating on Sunday Night adult skate from 8-11pm. Get there early as the line starts forming outside the door with security. The parking lot was large and well lite. We prebought our tickets and the staff were nice. The local DJ was showing off is beat. We had such a wonderful roller-skating experience. We loved preforming our complex combination jumps on the smooth wood floor. The skaters here are talented and nice to this La girl.
Great place with long tradition and amazing local spot. But a lot of improvements are needed for great experience. Only 3 simple rules for all the participants and they need to be followed by everyone and the referees are there to make sure are implemented and followed by everyone..
I wish they had a kiddie rink. Overall it was fun. You have to sign a form, book thru the site. The gliders/ guiders are $7.00. They have some arcade games for play, there is a area to order food and eat. They sell light up necklaces starting at $1.00.
Great time music was great he would let me get off the floor mad energy in the building it was worth the travel ..
This place is awesome! If I lived in the state I would be there all the time.
I like this place because it's for kids and adults to have fun together. The security in this place is safe. The only downside is the bathrooms. Not clean and this is not healthy and safe.
Came for the first time and had a blast!!!! I've been trying to find a good skating rink and I think we found it!!!! Let me break it down really quick.... the music was current, enjoyable, dance-worthy, the rink is a big but can get a bit congested (but that's why they have sessions), make sure you bring quarters if you need to lock up your belongings.... note; wish they had more food options but other than that I was super happy, i will be returning ??????
I had a good time with the grandkids. Good music, good vibes.
I love this skating rink! Adult night is so much fun and the DJ is awesome. Family night is usually overcrowded so I recommend coming early. One day my family went and they ran out of skates. Rare but it happened. The manager gave me my money back without any issues. The rink is spacious and super colorful. Parking lot and no drama.
I love adult skate night because I'm afraid of falling and there are no little ones out there to get in my way. But I love more watching everyone and how well they skate all the while wishing that I could do what they do. I love skating.
Always trying to check out new rinks when I travel and this happened to be the next one on the list. Nice size wooden floor, fun crowd and music...had a great time ?? @soonergent on TikTok
My wife and I went last week Sunday for Adult Night. I enjoyed myself. The process to get in was not long at all. The music was great. The atmosphere was good. The only thing I didn't like was the smell lol but what do you expect from a place where you have to take your shoes off lol, maybe there could be a way to freshen the air. I have my own pair of skates, however my wife does not. The guy behind the counter was nice looked a little bored but nice. The only thing they bothered me was my Wife actually fe
Trying to skate on a Saturday and get a quick bite to eat? Then this is not the place for you or your family on a weekend. Great music but HORRIBLE food and service. The children that they have at the register of the concession stand are HORRIBLE!! You will wait an HOUR for your food because they give the food that's warm to the guest that are having parties . I loved coming here as a kid and as a young adult but the attitudes are terrible, the service is terrible, and a spectator fee is TERRIBLE!! You wi
My son and I took a thursday afternoon off together and spent it at Branch Brook Skating Rink . I haven't been to the roller rink and more than 15 years. My 10-year-old son was just learning, and we had such a great time. There were less than 30 people the whole time we were there, so he was able to learn, and we were able to have a lot of fun. The music selections weren't that great. I wished they mixed old with the new. I had to wear my own headphones. The people working there were so helpful, nice, and p
Branch brook skating park was so much fun! We celebrated my son?s best friend?s birthday.
First time here, I love it. I'm trying to get back into skating so I did 30 min well, good speed and some tricks, I wish they have some older music like disco or 80s.. Everybody was super nice staff and skaters, and good security. I was there Sunday 8.30-9pm and the skate level was high, crowded and fast, dance and tricks, so make sure you can handle that if you go at that time....to avoid crashes that is.
So I went here for my birthday, solo, literally palms sweating and having heart palpitations because I decided to do something challenging and humbling on my own. BUT I ended up having so much fun! I went on adult night which honestly made me even more scared of being humiliated/in the way since there are pros there, but that didn't happen because I even made some friends along the way. I'm so grateful for all the help and guidance I received. So if you're afraid to try it, just do it, be humble, take bre
Super hot inside, could literally wear a tank top if I wanted too.
I am a senior citizen who came from Long Island, NY (about 100 miles) during a holiday weekend to bring my 18 and 19 year old daughters. Dispute my talking to 5 staff members and a manager. I wasn't extended a professional courtesy nor a senior discount so could sit and wait for my family instead of sitting in the car outside for two hours in 32 degree weather. This is just another example of how young people don't respect the elderly. Nor is any grace extended for specific extended circumstances. I believe
Had an amazing time the staff was so nice. The people were wonderful. I definitely will be coming back.
The place had good music fun and chill environment would always go back.
I loved this place..the music, it was clean, the staff was friendly, it was organized. The only negative was the 45min I spent waiting in line to buy some snacks, and the additional time it took for the food to be made. The staff was doing all they could, but the place was super busy and there were 2-3 birthday parties going on, so it was just too much for the two guys working the snacks area. Another girl came in later on to help, but it was still too much..I wish more help could have been available to
My work had a fairly large event here for families, and the staff and DJ made the event so wonderful! It was also affordable, and all ages had a great time!
Fun day it was nice not crowed line move fast we had so much fun
I had a wonderful time, great energetic people there friendly kind, and the DJ is amazing. Sunday nights are when it's at its best.
I'm not an expert skater but this was a lot of fun. Be mindful of the skater pile up (falls) but other than that, it was a blast. There are different times to book, at 2 hour intervals, you can definitely get a great workout in.
A friend and I decided to go skating and looked up roller skating. Branch Brook came up with great reviews but, it was an hour away in Newark NJ. We were skeptical but, decided to take the drive. We are older ( in our 50's ). We arrived a little early on a Saturday evening 7 pm session. A crowd was forming already outside. They hard people already organizing the line. We get in and the facility was very clean and the staff extremely nice. I had skates and we had to get a pair for my friend. What a great tim
Incredible djs, incredible skaters. It's a must see to believe atmosphere. Beautifully cared for floor.
We had a Gr8 time Celebrating Avery?s 7th Birthday at Branch Brook Park Roller Skating
It was a warm and friendly atmosphere and the instructors made you feel so comfortable as a beginner. My kids had a blast as well as myself. It was amazing. We'll be back.
Recently went to for my nieces birthday party with my 2.5 year old and my 4.5 year old. The staff was really nice helping me with skatemates when they seen me struggling with the both of them! The party was very punctual and the kids enjoyed themselves! The music was really good and the glow lights were a great touch! The facility was clean! We will be returning to refine our skating skills! ??
Visited from out of town. Inexpensive activity for the kids. Music was good. Cons: The young lady working the ticket window the night of 1/12/2019 at 8pm had a really bad attitude and should not be in customer service. The tokens ran out in the machine so the games were limited. I wanted to purchase $20 worth of tokens but only $6 was available at the prize register.
Amazing skating community. You will always have a good time. Beginners are always welcomed.
So much fun! Quads only, you can bring your own roller skates !
The kitchen area REALLY NEEDS TO IMPROVE WITH SERVICE. One person Taking orders and money and serveing food. So what are the other people doing back there. I did see some servicing the party table, but there were people just standing back there. The women bath need bleach and zapp. It just smells like a big butt!!! The music was bumping and people were having a good time.
Wow! My first time at this place and it did not disappoint! We went for the Sunday Night adult skate from 8-11pm. Get there early as the line starts forming outside the door. Once inside you pickup your skate rentals, tuck your belongings away, and get to skating. If you're a beginner like me be mindful that MOST people have some serious skills! They will be performing their tricks all around you which may seem scary at first but is so fun to watch! I just loved seeing the creativity, culture, dances, and s
Shout out to Marcell ! He's a great instructor, patient in helping the beginners!!! The rink itself is clean and well kept.
I'm so happy there is a skating rink that still exists. I've been here at least five times and each time is a great one! The management is organized, bathrooms clean, and everyone just wants to have fun. My daughter and I usually go around 2 pm and I could count the heads that were in attendance. What a cheap date? It only costs me $11 bucks because she has her on skates! They even have discounts around any holiday whether it be July 4th, Valentines, Spring break, etc? I hope Branch Brook Roller Rink hangs
We are from out of town and celebrated our son's 6th birthday at this roller skating rink. It's a bit pricey in my opinion. The admission and skate rental was $14. for kids, non-skating parents were $2., the little gate skate helpers were an additional $7, to rent. The music and atmosphere was good. The food and drinks were delicious, and well priced. Except the cotton candy, it was stale with crunchy crystals along the bottom.
Giving a birthday party here was definitely a huge waste of money!!! We paid over $400 to be put in the common eating area with the table cloths and paper plates & cups .. the host did deliver drinks & pizza but we weren't notified so the food is just sitting there with random people since we were placed in that common area. The customer service was trash!!! I even was called to the door more than once by the guest on my list not being let in because they couldn't find the name that was magically there onc
My one star is based upon attending last Saturday's beginner lessons. The instructor was not all that great, she seemed like she didn't want to be there, I overheard one of the people ask her a question about her form while skating and the instructor said "well I never heard of that" okay, well you see the girl who asked the question is clearly a beginner why don't you show her while telling her? Just overheard and thought it was a bit rude. From what I saw, the instructor only choose the same attendees to
This place is ran down and understaffed they have also updated their system if you book on line make sure to screenshot your payment because they can not locate payments made on line and will ask you to pay again- the worse experience ever I will not return or recommend this place
It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.
Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.
Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.
Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.
Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.
Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.
Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.
No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
Arcade prize games are a thrilling highlight in 2025! Claw machines, skee-ball, and ticket-redemption games like basketball offer a rush of skill and chance, with rewards like plushies, toys, or electronics up for grabs. Modern machines feature vibrant lights, digital scoreboards, and responsive controls, amplifying the fun. The lively arcade atmosphere, with cheering crowds and buzzing energy, makes every win feel epic.
