Bowlocity is an amazing place to bring kids and host parties! The arcade is packed with fun games for all ages and the bowling lanes are well maintained for both casual and serious bowlers. We recently had a birthday party and the private party room was perfect for the group. There is an on-site restaurant that offers a variety of food options. You can either dine in or have servers bring your meals right to your lane, which is super convenient. The staff is friendly and always ready to help!
I came to velocity on Friday to celebrate my birthday and spent $100 on , the game package My family and I then went to go play some arcade games. We then got hungry and decided to go eat at the velocity sports bar after that we decided to Go bowling. After we went bowling we went back to the arcade and and we swiped our cards and it said no funds. We were very confused. So we went to the front desk and asked the staff why we didn't have any funds on our cards The staff And the manager were very rude. They
We have always had a great time with great service. Our EPIC summer camp kids had a fun time as well as our preschoolers when we went there for a spring field trip. We did have it scheduled ahead of time so this always
This is definitely a family fun spot. It's called an entertainment center, and it truly is. From bowling to video games, pizza to laser tag you will be kept busy. Priced affordable depending on the activities you select. They do offer free bowling in the summer for youth. This is huge, especially when it's a rainy day and the kids are crawling the walls at home. We have had birthday parties and they knock it out of the park. Not only is it easy- simply show up, the pizza and other foods are delicious
Great games In the arcade I think I saw rabbids even. They all are good and you will want to play them just so you know , it's a card you add cash to from the machine... Too easy.. careful lol and the lanes are new and really clean. We had 4 lanes so my fun meter might have been swayed due to our excitement and size of our group. Still what else you gonna do ..
Super crowded. 30% of the games don't work. The place is a construction zone at present. The server was not very good. I've been a server and it is tough, but he wasn't doing it right. Messed up the orders, didn't seem to know what to do or when to do it. Seemed nice enough of a guy.
Yummy drinks and pizza! Great specials follow on instagram for deals! Free bowling in the summer for kids through KBF definitely take advantage. $20 for about 30 mins of arcade fun! Great place to have a Birthday party.
Came here for my little brothers birthday party! Super fun laser tag, bowling and all the games! Had a blast! Definitely recommend. Took two star off because they don't allow outside food, I wouldn't be upset if the food is good but the food was not, Seems like they order it from somewhere else so that they can take a cut instead of letting people bring their own food...
I recently had my daughters 8th birthday party at Bowlocity , on 4/29. with about 21 people who attended but had 8 kids who bowled, we did the Birthday package "Big Blast" and Honestly it was such a success the kids were never bored , they were constantly able to be busy , the arcade was busy but the kids were able to spend a good amount of time playing, The over all staff were amazing and so helpful. We live out of town so we really were not aware of what to expect when we got there but the staff were ver
Great place with lots of fun activities and food! The bar tender is well spoken and the service is quick. Loved the taste of the food, Twisted Nacho Fry is a must try!!! There are a lot of options for gaming which includes Bowling & Laser Tagging. Will definitely visit again!
If we could rate Bowlocity even higher, we would! Childhood Cancer Community is a non-profit organization, based in Rochester, MN that provides meaningful connections for families battling childhood cancer. We have had the opportunity to host events at Bowlocity and find it to be one of the funnest places to bring our families together. There are so many things to do! Bowling, arcade fun, private party rooms, laser fun, and great food! And the staff is so professional and attentive to our needs. If yo
This is a fun place to go bowling. Call ahead to make sure they have a lead available (sometimes there are larger parties or events).
We hadn't bowled for a long time. Times have changed but bowling hasn't. Fun place for the family.
Bowlocity is a fairly awesome place with generous food portions, well-maintained facilities, a fun atmosphere, & stellar arcade selections. The staff is super friendly & helpful as well! We were impressed by the overall cleanliness & the shoes are not overly worn.
When we first arrive noone was in the resteraunt bsr part to take our order. My daughter had to go to the bowling counter to let them know. The employee looked around for the one who was supposed to help us . One employee stated that she might be in the bathroom. After 10 minutes longer, she came out , tossed her phone on the table, and finally took our order. Even thpugh she didn't seem to happy about it. The lane was acting up while bowling. Clearing pins by itself The employee tried to fix it twice but
This place is awesome for kids they have arcade laser tag bowling pizza games all sorts of stuff
Great and awesome ???? place for the family and kids to go Bowling ?? is just sounds like Alot of Fun and excitement.Ive been here and wouldn't mind going back again to just see myself act like a grown up kid,All the fun I want to have to enjoy myself.
Really enjoyed stopping at this place with my family. An hour timeframe is not enough. Plan for at least 2 -3 hours. I spent $10 in the arcade and played a bunch of games. Family of 6 and to bowl with shoes was $38 for a whole game. Highly recommend this place. So much to offer for all ages of kids and teenagers.
New place, so far so good! Small lanes but not so bad.
Nice place with lot of activities for get together with family and/or friends.
Definitely a good time we celebrated my son's birthday there. I would advise making reservations for bowling if you want more than one lane to bowl and that was a quick process Forgive me I can't remember the woman's name but she was very helpful and friendly everyone had fun
We were recently at an event in bowlocity?s private event room. It was awesome! If you are looking for a birthday party or something else this was perfect. There was a separate eating room so lots of places to sit. All the shoes and balls were in this room, you didn't have to go running in and out to the front desk. Great place.
We rented out the Bowling Suite for a staff event and it was wonderful! The process for reserving the space was very quick and easy. Jacie was very helpful and made sure everything was squared away for us. The food we had planned was out promptly at the time I had asked for. We ended up needing to order more (my fault, I underestimated!) and they were able to whip out another pizza for us within 15 minutes. We also had our own bartender, Danielle, who was great! The team had such a fun time and everything w
Hello everyone came here today July 20th 2024 and I did not receive good service .. I sat at the counter and waited to be serviced so my son and his friend could play laser tag two associates looked over my way and did not help me they continued in conversation and so I waited for an additional 10 minutes.. a Caucasian lady comes to the counters and the young man helps her immediately.. so a gentle man standing behind me who was also Caucasian asked the man to come service me and my family.. now this is abs
Soooo fun!! Awsome place
There was one gal who helped us alot and we really appreciated her! It was a pretty and clean and fun place to be. The downside was it was my first time being to a bowling ally where you get your own shoes yourself. That takes alot of time, but also why pay to go bowling if you can find your size of shoe? Thankfully we found close fits. The biggest issue was the attendant at the bar/food desk. We paid for the more expensive lanes, so I'm talking about the half bar, not the full. We ordered a pizza as soon a
We were here for the vikes game and had a lot of fun. Amazing nachos grande and Jamie our server was great, would recommend and are coming back
HIGHLY RECOMMEND! This is one of those genuine MedCity experiences. All ages welcome. Bowling rocks and these guys do an awesome job of making all the non bowling activities awesome as well. Clean environment, polite staff , good food.
Awesome alley with lots of fun arcade games and nice, modern lanes! Pizza & food is yummy! Staff is great with nice recommendations, if you ask! They close at 10pm everyday, which is so weird. They'll def let you know too. Lights came on at 9:20pm Music turned down at 9:50pm. They've been cleaning for 45 minutes on a Saturday night. It's just a weird vibe. I guess that's what you get for Rochester, MN on a Saturday lol Edit: had to decrease my stars from 5 to 2. This place is so run by a bunch of childr
We had my son's 6th birthday party here in Sept. 2023. We had kids ages 5 thru 7 play a few rounds of laser tag and received a private party room with the bulk laser tag purchase. I also ordered a cake a drinks through Bowlocity (no outside food/drink allowed). Everything went SO SMOOTHLY. I was so impressed. The room was clean. The arcade games were clean and majority were in working fashion. The staff were very friendly and helpful too. We will certainly be having future parties here and would refer other
They have a great bowling community, but they also have a arcade to win prizes and a laser tag arena, let me just say from experience there that it's a work out to play laser tag for a hour straight. The prices ain't that bad either.
A nice entertainment locale for local Rochesterites. Bowling, arcade, laser tag. Lots of fun stuff to do. #NatsJourneys
Worst experience ever. Bar manager refused to refund my 8$ meal after an hour waiting on chicken strips. I checked on them after about 45 mins and I thought he said they were just put in but apparently he said they were on the lane. So they sat there for another 20 minutes. When i inquired about them again. He called me a liar and refused to give me his name so I could call the owner. I am not a consumer to complain but I will be sure to let anyone know about my treatment. They have always been great in th
Bowling, Laser Tag, an arcade for the kids and a laid back cheers like sports bar will having you bringing your kids, friends and family here time and time again. Food is great and the restaurant manager Nick, who helps us every time goes above and beyond to make sure we are always happy, full and have the best experiences every time. The staff in the restaurant is very well trained and stays very busy and the front desk staff is always kind and does a good job. We highly recommend Bowlocity Entertainment C
Boys had a great time with Grandma. Lots to do.
I purchased the 1 game of bowling and 1 round of laser tag package for myself and my 2 daughters (ages 9 and 13). We had a great time. All the staff we encountered were enthusiastic and helpful. The young man running the laser tag this Monday evening was fantastic - He was friendly and helpful. He even offered to push my husband in his wheelchair so that he could join in the laser tag - My husband declined, but it was nice to be asked. This was a fun activity for our spring break!
Bowling review only. Fun place and have been there multiple times. The last time was bad. I have always been in the Suites to make it easier for us. We had 2 lanes that seemed to breakdown every other ball. So eventually we had to be moved to another pair of lanes.
Counter staff (for as young as they were) were polite, quick to help us and very friendly. Other staff brought our food to the party room and checked with us a couple times to see if we're needed anything else. Laura at the bar was amazing and so helpful. Explaining how things worked because it was the first time we had a birthday party there. They kids had a blast and everyone was satisfied. The party room was so great to have. Thank you
Great family friendy place! The kids always have a blast playing at the arcade here. No place in town can match unlimited play for $14 an hour with these high quality games. Bowling lanes are well kept with the perfect amount of oils. Fun, safe and very clean!
We had our son's 2nd birthday party here. We had a backroom for ourselves. The food was great and our server Lizz was amazing. She checked in often and had was very kind to our guest and the children.
Bowling lanes did not seem even. Kids ball always went left gutter if rolled to slow. Lane 6. Other than that. Clean, and friendly service. Good place to take your kids to bowl and get put of the house once in awhile.
We went into the sports bar just to grab a bite to eat. The service was terrible even though they weren't busy. Our waitress was to busy being on her phone and going outside to refill our beverages or to even see how things were. They lost out on money as I would have normally had another drink or two but was so mad we just got our bill and left. We won't be going back again.
Great mix of adult games and kids games all with great food! We have had wonderful experiences here.
Super fun times. Love the laser tag, but that's mostly because I completely dominate every time. Just like when I play Risk, which is the game of world domination. Soon no one will want to play laser tag with me anymore either. And, I really don't blame them.
Between company holiday parties, elementary age field trips, and contributions to fundraisers, Bowlocity is positively impacting all their customers! We love sending summer field trips that way because they can bowl AND spend a little time at the arcade. As teachers we have made full use of the private lanes with dinner, drinks, and laser tag on top of it. Additionally, they never hesitate to donate when we fundraise for local charitable organizations. Not a negative thing to say!
We went for lunch which was delicious! (If you are getting an appetizer, we highly recommend the twisted fries nachos!) They also have a great arcade and laser tag, but the also have 2 sides to their bowling alley and can block one off for parties!
Laser tag is awesome. You don't need a group just suit up and play. The Bowling is nothing special but nothing wrong either. Lots of arcade games and the bar is a bit nicer than expected.
Our family routinely visits here as it's a hot spot for families. Although it's almost always busy, the staff is respectful and continues to have the best attitudes in the midst of chaos. Never have encountered a negative atmosphere from staff and that's hard to find now days. Keep it up!
Not worth the money, very limited game options, and even when you buy the top package $35 a person, with two people, you only get 1 game of bowling. The food was over priced for what you get. It would have been better if we could win tickets with the package. Spent over $100 for two people to play a few Arcade games and one game of bowling. I will admit Laser Tag was fun and you do get to play 2 songs of beatsaber, but over all not worth the price unless you have kids. Also the Suites Lanes, with a private
This business is such a great place to spend time with family and friends. Bowling, laser tag and arcade games keep us busy for hours!
The worst experience I have ever had, the place was packed, played in the arcade for a little bit with my 6 year old son, niece and nephew 2 and 8. We decided to eat in the bar there and it was the worst service I have ever had right along with the food. The waitress completely missed one of our orders so had to put it in after the rest of us got our food, the food I did order was not made correctly and was as simple as add a slice of cheese and mayo to to California burger and then she walked out the front
Reserved a room for Aunts Celebration of Life. Excellent food! Fast Service! Very friendly servers!! Even hit Jackpots on more then 1 arcade game! Kids and Adults had a blast! If ever in the area will be stopping in again!
We showed up at 1:00 pm, there were three bartenders on duty. One had a bandanna, one had a white golf shirt the last had a blue T-shirt. There were seven people sitting at the bar. It took the two of us 15 minutes to be served a drink. During the course of our time there we continually waited for service while the bartender in the white shirt wandered in and out of the kitchen, bartender in the bandanna chose to wash glasses and the one in the blue shirt disappeared. While we waited for drinks, the bartend
Certain employees are extremely rude to customers and have no other option to deal or solve any issues than to phone the "police." When challenged, they yell "get out of my bar, you're burned out" and overcharge or add extra money to bills.
We had a great time bowling with our family over Christmas! The guest services staff were friendly and polite. Food was great and laser tag was a blast. Everything was clean and organized, we will definitely be back. The manager Erin was friendly and helpful!
Staff are friendly and enjoy entertaining children visitors. The bowling alley is always clean and bright and very welcoming.
Well we were there celebrating a birthday party, everything was fine and dandy but as we were cleaning up there was a girl with long brown hair who came out and started to say that she would call the police if we didn't leave right then and there. First of all we were cleaning up our mess to help the staff secondly there was no warning that it was closing time. I don't blame the guy at the bar he told me he was new and just started. It was the fact that she came out and started demanding we leave?. WE WERE
Triton High School had its annual post-prom party at Bowlocity. The staff was great to work with to prepare for the event and responsive to our many questions. The kids had a great time, the pizza was fantastic, the space was a perfect size for our private group and the variety of activities offered was terrific. We appreciate they let us bring in our own prizes, snacks, bingo games and movies if the kids wanted "downtown" after a long day/night. Thanks again Erin and crew!
We did the ultimate party package. Although it was all lined up 3 days prior, it was extremely unorganized. I had to keep asking for pitchers of water, they didn't know anything about the birthday bowling pin, and the overpriced cake didn't come with anything to cut it or forks. The kids had fun, which is most important, but I wont book another party there. For the price, I expected a bit more for the party room, or better communication that there weren't any decorations. The staff was young and stood aroun
Love this place. Great arcade which my kids love. They have unlimited packages you can buy which is nice for a trip and the cards will automatically come with a set amount of tickets which you can spend or save up. The items you can buy are nice items. We got a lava lamp pre covid and it still works. Staff is very helpful. Cant speak much for the bowling..... we have only done this a few times. They have great laser tag. Virtual games are a really nice edition. We ate in the restraunt this week an
We just had a large event with 25 people and ended up renting the VIP section for 3 hours. The space works very well to be private and yet large enough to move around and socialize. Bowlocity was amazing to work with to plan the event and the staff was incredible.
We just hosted our daughters graduation party at Bowlocity Entertainment Center in their party rooms. I cant say enough good things about the staff and especially Brenda, the event planner. They helped us set up and decorate the room and made sure everything was just as it should be for the party. They served the food for us, and our guests had a wonderful time. We were able to social distance and have things handled in a safe way for our guests. Thank you so much to Bowlocity for the care and detail th
We had our end of the football season celebration at Bowlocity, and everyone was so great and helpful. Thank you!
What a great place to relax and get out of the everyday norm had a blast would come back.
Needs a little more attention towards customers in need of assistance also fix some of the glitches in the arcade game machines. Also needs more options of prizes that are not just junk or candy at the low point level.
I LOVE BOWLOCITY! It's my favorite place to have some drinks and relax. LIZZ is super attentive and takes care of me every time I am in! I come here often just to see her! She's awesome and you won't be disappointed!
Great bowling in the suites lanes. Challenging oil pattern. Great bar tender. Arcade was decent.
Bowling is fun until one learns that the lanes are oiled, a fact ALOT of bowlers don't know, think it has to do with throwing the ball hard enough or angling there hand right or using there elbow with enough force, Great rootbeer soda,Great food, Good size arcade !
The food genuinely surprised me, it was really good and the fries are amazing! Hidden in plain sight, never would have thought to go here for such a great patty melt. The arcade has a nice variety, just arcades always feel gross to me. And the bowling is a blast, when you are not directly next to a bunch of loud "beer drinking bro's". The things that the center offered were great and fairly priced :) will return
The service was spectacular! Great environment as well. Kid friendly and just an all around fun place to be! Bartender who went by Jeno was fantastic and heard afterwards that he was voted best Bartender in Rochester!
The food we ordered was warm, and we didn't receive any condiments that we were told would be will our burgers, and fries. I asked for ketchup, and mustard. The condiments didn't come until after we were finished with my meals. Also the bowling lanes we used were down, and it took over 30 mintues for the guy to come back to let us know he got them up, and running. I will not recommend this place to anyone I know to have a party there.
This was our first visit to Bowlocity and it didn't disappoint! The restaurant accomodated our large party with fast and friendly service. The food was great and the kids had a blast in the arcade and laser tag! Well done!
Haven't been here in several years, but took my son recently. Didn't realize we had to make reservations, but was able to get in close to the time I wanted to go. More to do within the facility than inrealized or remembered. Will have to remember that for next time! Staff was friendly, but didn't respond unless prompted.
I always have so much fun here from the bowling to the arcade...I could spend hours having a blast ??
We accepted one of the offered deals, and my family of six, our neighbors, and two friends all came together to bowl, laser tag, and arcade. We all had a great time. The staff was helpful, and the facility was great. Highly recommend!
Bowlocity did an amazing job hosting my groom's dinner. We had the entire private space reserved for this event, which was perfect for our group. The private bowling alley is super fun! There are a variety of different bowling games to play if you want to mix things up. The laser tag and arcades were a blast as well. I highly recommend hosting an event here for whatever reason. I will be doing so again.
The bowling is great, with the occasional system glitch, like not setting all the pins correctly or not giving your ball back. The balls are always oily which I don't know if that's good or not, the staff is usually a bunch of teenagers but they're courteous.
Nice and clean. Staffs are very friendly. They have plenty of bowling alleys and few arcade games for kids. Weekends and Fridays are usually busy. So, do book before you go especially on these days. They also have mini bar and serves food to your alley. You can bowl along with food and drink. Enjoy!
Great place for families and groups of all ages. Everyone enjoyed the bowling and the arcade! The arcade uses cards for each person, instead of tokens and tickets! It is such a good idea and so much easier to keep track of! We didn't have to worry about lost tokens or tickets!
Professional, Courteous, and very Polite. These Servers and Tenders are all That, and Much, Much more. The manager Nic handles his job professionally and with care in mined. I would definitely bring my family and friends to this Sports Bar. Come Check It Out.
Went for a friend's child's birthday. Was mixed communication with private lanes. Had to wait until after 6:15pm when we arrived at 4:30 ish. Kids enjoyed the arcade while adults watched. Over all had a great time.
Birthday party was great! We recently had our daughter?s 7th birthday party at Bowlosity and the kids had a blast! Bowling, Laser tag, a private room for food / presents, and the staff was excellent. We will be back for future parties.
I wish there were more games in the arcade, but my little brother and I had a fantastic time! I bout two 2hr unlimited tickets for the arcade, and ot was the perfect amount of time and money for my younger sibling and I to spend.
Isabelle and I spent a few hours here a few weeks ago and I love the laser tag they have there. We had the entire course to ourselves and it was a blast, oh and I lost. I should have won! I would like to spend lots more time playing that with more family or friends. In order to have a good time you need to take Isabelle!
Had a great time. Did a family day and it was a blast. I messed up on my online order and management was awesome and helped me to fix my mistake. Pizza was good and we had the best time playing laxer tag, bowling and playing around the arcade. See you again soon
Highly recommend this place if you are looking for something to do not at a bar. I recently was there for my birthday. Everything we needed was there bowling, laser tag, food and drinks. My only complaint would be the restaurant bartender. I was there with a group of 11 people we reserved 2 lanes, played laser tag had food and drink, our group easily dropped at least $500 there, the least our bartender could be was be friendly. She was rude and snappy besides her all the other employees were friendly and he
Go to the bar and order a cookie for two dollars, it's bigger than an appetizer plate and it's delicious!! Do it!
We had 18 people celebrating Christmas. We rented a room and three bowling lanes. The process was very simple and affordable. The kids enjoyed the game room as well. We had a variety of food including some pizza and everyone seemed to enjoy it all. About the only negative comment we have is that the bowling balls were in terrible condition.
It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.
Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.
Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.
Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.
Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.
Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.
Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.
No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
Yes, virtual reality (VR) games in arcades are a top attraction in 2025! Titles like Beat Saber and Half-Life: Alyx deliver immersive thrills with cutting-edge headsets, motion tracking, and responsive controllers. High-resolution displays and spatial audio create heart-pounding experiences, from slashing rhythms to battling zombies. Arcades feature multiplayer VR zones and tournaments, fostering lively communities. VR booths are regularly packed, proving their captivating, next-level gameplay makes them a must-try arcade experience.
Arcade prize games are a thrilling highlight in 2025! Claw machines, skee-ball, and ticket-redemption games like basketball offer a rush of skill and chance, with rewards like plushies, toys, or electronics up for grabs. Modern machines feature vibrant lights, digital scoreboards, and responsive controls, amplifying the fun. The lively arcade atmosphere, with cheering crowds and buzzing energy, makes every win feel epic.
