We came to Virginia to go to bush gardens for the weekend and that Friday it was raining so we had to find something to do so we decided to check this place out. The price was awesome and we had a really good time. If we are back in the area again will definitely check this place out.
Half the arcade games were broken and no attempts were made to resolve the issue or credit money back see pictures...don't waste your money! Bowling was okay thought the ball got stuck multiple times and they had to enter our names because the lane we were put in, the button didn't work (and they admitted it when we called them over for help)...bowling for 5 was 45 something, shoe rental 39 and games 30. I get that bowling is expensive, bit when you are paying that much everythong should work and shoes rent
Extremely expensive - - you pay $7 per pair of shoes plus $6 per person, per game. And the machine gets stuck sometimes so they have to manually reset it. Otherwise, it's a nice atmosphere with guys seating and big balls plus an arcade and fits delivered to your table.
When I first walked in, I was assaulted by the smell of what can only be described as public restroom mixed with cigarette smoke. My boyfriend was visiting from out of town and we thought this would be a nice fun family activity. We were wrong. For a $100 reservation for 5 people, I expect at least a smile when we walk up to the front desk. When we arrived, they tried to squeeze us between two chaotic lanes filled with screaming children, and the table they gave us was bizarrely far from our lane?with peopl
Just bowled for 3 hours with my husband, daughter in law, and two grandsons (ages 6 and 3). We had a fantastic time. The $10 unlimited bowling deal was the best!!!! To top it off all of the staff were friendly, patient with the increase in opening number of bowlers (it was a ton), and all of the food we ate was on point. Well done Bowlero Williamsburg, keep those deals coming and we'll return. Thank you.
I had an okay experience at this bowling alley overall. The bowling itself was very fun and pleasant. The bowling alley was fairly empty and I was able to get a lane right away. The staff was able to provide all that was necessary and everything worked well. The main issue for me was that the staff at the restaurant area couldn't answer basic questions about allergies. They couldn't even say what oil they grilled in. I've been to countless eateries, but I've never seen staff unable to answer the most basic
I went to this place for a birthday party not too long ago. I didn't expect much but there was a lot more than just bowling, there was a variety of arcade games and there was definitely a lot to pick on the menu. The bowling alleys are well done and they look like they are often cleaned. But one downfall is the price of the place, I was planning on going here with 4 other people including me and it almost cost 500 dollars with tax. But other than that, I think that's why this place deserves a 4 start review
My grandkids and I had a great time at the Williamsburg location. We were able to get a free game and rentals for the kids because of the Kidfest special.. even reduced rates on rentals for me and discounts on food items! All the ladies at the counter were especially friendly, patient and very helpful. Wendy (rocked our pizza!) and Ashley were the most awesome!! ?they made the whole experience even more enjoyable because they were genuinely interested in making sure we had fun. We look forward to our n
This staff goes out of their way to make everyone feel welcomed. Kelsie And the entire team delivered fantastic service to a group we brought in. They also did a great job to ensure their regulars had great service while taking care of us!
I have always had a nice time here. I have experienced no issues with the facility. I find it fun and entertaining.
Plenty of parking, and in a popular area of Williamsburg with lots to do nearby. Great food, very friendly staff! Kid friendly, ramps for kids, bumpers. Arcade games.
My first time bowling and I really enjoyed it. The place was clean and well maintained. Service was very slow to start, as I could see that they are understaffed, however they did what they could. I had wings, fries and nachos which were delicious. Overall I'll definitely visit again.
The manager and staff at this location are exceptionally nice. They really made sure we were all having a good time and had everything we needed. Our server Kris was very friendly, attentive, and made sure to let us know about all the promotions available to us to help enhance our experience which we really appreciated. My only thing about this location is it doesn't have the traditional bowling alley lane booth type seating that I'm used to, and I really kind of missed it while we were there, but that's ad
We took my son here for his birthday and he had an amazing time! The customer service was amazing - Arjerie was so friendly and helpful! There are lots of lanes for people to bowl, even areas that are quieter for people with sensitivity to sound. There's also a gameroom area with an air hockey table, and food made to order. We will definitely be back when we're in the area, and highly recommend for anyone looking for something fun to do!
If I could give this place a 0 stars I would. I came in at 4 before the leagues they told me to come back at 8. And now an 30 minute wait again. I understand you have leagues but you also have paying customers. I will not be returning.
Great place to bowl !! ???? Check ?? out their Sunday night special ... All you can bowl, 4 hrs, includes shoes and arcade voucher. With Cold Beer ?? and Hot Food ???? , what more do you need!?!? ????????
I was impressed with the size ( big) of this place. Love the 50s retro vibe. Food great. My game is... not so great. Lol
Experience was Epic with the German Family Reunion from NYC. Had a ball. I think we overwhelmed the staff with food and drinks, they did what they could to keep up.
Amanda reached out to me regarding a previous experience I had. She was kind and rectified it professionally. Her demeanor was fabulous and I appreciated her being so attentive. Thank you Amanda! We will be back soon ??
Made reservations for a holiday kids party and we had the best experience! The professionals Quinton & Kris took the best care of us and made the experience smooth and unforgettable in the best way possible. They were both kind and attentive and went above and beyond for our party of 7. From bowling & arcade, to the yummy food with such a fun set up? everyone who attended agreed that we would all HANDS DOWN do this again! For the price point and all the things we got, it was well worth it. Thank you Bowlero
We had a blast!! Just wish the prices weren't so high. Our son loves to bowl so it is worth it just can't go as often as we'd like. The workers were very nice and the lady making food was wonderful.
We had a party there for our son that didn't turn out well. Even with all the effort Wendy put in she was a rock star. The other lady pretty rude. No worries though. Logan the manager contacted me immediately to apologize. He more that made up for it and made sure we had a good experience at his facility. Wendy and Nisha (sp) are very attentive and check on their guest to ensure that they have everything they need. I would recommend this bowling arena for sure. P.s. the food there is really good.
A few coworkers and I met up at Bowlero. We did the unlimited bowling. Although we hadn't bowled in years, we had a lot of fun. The one employee we had was very nice. ~04/17~We went tonight, and there were leagues, so we didn't get to bowl. I came from Newport News to bowl a few with a few coworkers, so I was a little disappointed when we couldn't. I wish they had set days for leagues. That way, we know exactly what days we could go bowling and what days not. Oh well, it was nice to hang out for a little bi
Wendy, the manager and her staff were very accommodating. This was our first family bowl with our young children and it was a great place to enjoy a rainy day while on vacation. The shoes were new and clean. The lanes were clean and shiny. The bartender was patient and helpful. It seems everyone is great at customer service here. Thank you Wendy for a wonderful experience and being awesome!
We stopped in for a fun times during our stay in Williamsburg. The lanes were very good, oiled. Up to date equipment. Balls were very used but that didn't matter as we were there foe fun. The bar was excellent!!! The bar tender hooked us up! The workers were busy attending customers and constantly cleaning. Price for play was a tad bit expensive but again, we had fun.
Lanes weren't good. House balls hooked for some damn reason. Awkward seating. Unorganized. Never coming back.
The worst food service I had my entire life. Hour and a half to get a cheese burger and fries, on top of that, it was $22. So order you food when you first arrive, maybe you will get it by the time you are ready to leave. SMFH
Great and fun bowling alley! Has some of the best music and great deals during the weekend! We went on Thursday for unlimited bowling after 8 and dang was it fun. They also have a great arcade and food made to order! Definitely a top place to go bowling
DO NOT GO HERE, it is incredibly expensive for no reason. they were not clear about the pricing at all. me and 2 other people played 3 games total and it was 118 dollars. this is an absolutely ridiculous amount to pay for bowling. this completely ruined our entire experience. the music is also way too loud. only go here if you have money to waste.
I agree it's very expensive. Paid $69 for one game (less than 1 hour) for my husband and I, and our 5 year old and 1 year old. They charged $10.99 per person per game no matter the age - my one year old cost me $10.99 plus $5.99 for shoes! Needless to say, we won't be bowling again - it's not a family friendly price! Kids prices should be different or under 2 be free. Besides the prices, the letters didn't work on the machine so we had to abbreviate our names and it took a while just to get the rails up on
Good place for spending time with friends or family. There were very few people on a weekday.
Nice bowling alley staff was very helpful had a great family outing
My family and I come here whenever we get the chance. Food is pricey but we overall love coming here
Both my parents worked here when I was a kid in the 80s 90s. The stories I have from this Williamsburg landmark I will forever laugh at and be haunted by.
I had a blast!! It's a great place for family and friends fun!
Clean and great family fun. If you drink, check the prices before you order so you are not surprised by the cost of your double.
The representative was very friendly and helpful! The lanes were beautiful!
Our church did a volunteer bowling party there last night. They have amazing deals for large groups. The general and assistant mangers there were extremely accommodating! All of our food came out quick and was fresh. They got our shoes for 120 people in a quick and timely manner so we could get right to bowling. The managers themselves accommodated the dietary restrictions of our group and ensured all of our needs were met. They had extra workers on site for our large party to ensure food was constantly bei
Food prices are a bit high but the bowling alley itself is good. Could use a little upkeep and upgrades
Spoke with the manager about a groupon that was to expire in 5 days. They have no open lanes all day Saturday which is of no fault to the customer. They state if we cannot make it in, when they have lanes open, prior to expiration, they will not honor the groupon. They will only honor the amount paid. Poor customer service at its finest.
Great atmosphere. The staff was friendly and helpful. The drinks I got were on point but I didn't like the loaded cheese fries and a large was $16.99. If you like cheese wiz then you'll love them but it's not my jam. Overall a fun experience and I would go back and try something else to eat on the menu.
Trying to bowling the tournament and the lanes can't work properly we have to keep getting officials to change the scores it. Service sucks haven't seen a single waitress had to go to the bar to even get a drink. Bathrooms trashcans over flowing.
My family and I recently visited this bowling alley in search of a fun activity. The atmosphere was welcoming, embodying the typical charm of a bowling alley. The pricing was reasonable with shoe rentals at $5 and the lanes priced at $15 and $8 per game, although I may stand corrected. We ordered a pizza and a sample platter. The food was surprisingly good, with their wings standing out as particularly delicious. However, our experience was marred by the long wait at the bar. Despite multiple visits to the
Fun time had by all! Great place for a children?s b-day party.
Had a great time with family. Electronic systems beyond my paper days.
Love the atmosphere. The male cashier was handling my Groupon said, You have lane 8". I was looking for lane 8. It's a little outdated, but my family had a good time.
LOVE IT HERE!!!! This is a very clean bowling alley with great food and good times!
The staff was great and the food was good. Well worth it
Went for a quick set and it was fun. Great atmosphere and good equipment.
It's nice when you can get in. I have gone often only to find out I can't get in because leagues are playing and they won't let anyone else play even if lanes are open.
The service was horrible the works don't care, made us wait over hour and 30 mins for our food and then we watch people come in after us and get there food before us. Once we got the food it was cold and not fresh. One of the workers was very unprofessional, talk to me any type of way, the drinks are HORRIBLE, ask for strawberry Hennessey and basically got straight juice. Please rethink before visiting here! I will NEVER come back when I visit. PERIOD!!!!!! Do NOT eat there food! Bowling was great though!!!
Arrived at 1pm to use fall pass on a Saturday and was informed that they would be booked til 6pm. Staff were unwilling to honor the fall pass, which is only good til 4pm on a Saturday, despite us being there within the time frame
Even on a Saturday afternoon they do glow bowling basically. Prices quite high though, especially on the weekends. Nice TVs too with music videos and college football while you wait for your turn. Bathrooms pretty modern and clean too which is a nice bonus as of course you'll eventually have to wash your hands at least.
We had an amazing time! Wendy and Ashley we great. We bowled a few games it was so much fun, our food was hot and yummy. Sweet chili wings were my favorite. Can't wait to go back!
Lanes kept shutting down but all and all it was good.
Great place for the family to have fun. Decent food choices and full bar it seems. Staff is very friendly and helps with any lanes issues immediately.
Fantastic. Lanes in superb condition. House balls are okay usable. I did not find a 15 or 16 pound ball for myself so its difficult if you are a big guy that throws a certain way. I found my rental shoes slippery. Coming back again with my equipment and I am sure I will have a better time. Arcade is pretty appealing, food I will for sure partake next time and give it a try. Front Desk Service was good.
A nit pricey, but a great time
So we wanted to take our family bowling tonight (Saturday 11/16/24), normally on Saturday night they have the $24 night time bowling that starts at 9. I called an hour prior and was advised that there was a tournament going on and to arrive at 9:30, we arrived and still had to wait an hour. During the hour wait we sat in the bar area and my husband was sitting there for 30 minutes and no one was even behind the bar and we were trying to order drinks. I had to go to the front desk 15 times to try and get
I visited this Williamsburg location on Saturday, March 2, 2024. I was with approximately 12 other adults and 52 kids in town on a middle school trip for Model United Nations, hosted at the College of William & Mary. As soon as we walked in we got in line to secure bowling shoes for kids - it was a long line, but moved quickly as the establishment noticed the line and open a second. Great Customer Service. Then we walked over to our lanes, our pre-ordered food and beverages were setup very nicely and rea
Very nice overall experience. I think the state of the art arcade could be a little bit larger and more expansive. I liked the food, but I think we could use a little bit of up leveling as well. Just mix in a couple of higher end options. The controls for good and relatively easy to use but sometimes confusing. Overall really good experience.
Nice new lanes, clean inside, nice restrooms but we haven't had any of the food to complete the rating. I'm glad there was a place where all the lanes weren't taken up by bowling leagues.
My family and I were having a total blast bowling until one of the managers, Quinton, came up to me and told me that I had to put my water bottle and protein shake in my car. I tried to explain to him that I had gastric surgery recently and I cannot have anything but liquids, and HAVE to continuously drink fluids, and he said it doesn't matter and I can't have outside drinks. He said ?if you read the sign on the door?? I'm all for rules and I get that no one will pay the excessive Bowlero prices for food or
Today I had a rude encounter with the manager, Ashley, this afternoon. I'm a nursing mother of a newborn and brought in my tumbler filled with water which I carry with me at all times. I explained this to her and she said there were no exceptions because it was a corporate policy. Pregnant and nursing mothers are a protected class. I asked if baby bottles were allowed since they are brought in from outside and she said they were allowed. This policy and exception makes no sense to me. The family next to me
Nice lanes friendly staff. A bit pricey. Our lane reservation was 90 minutes. The lane shutdown on frame 4 of our last game. It would have been nice to finish that game. Maybe this is standard.
We had a good time bowling!!! It wasn't crowded either. The employees are friendly. They have some good specials too.
Always the best place to bring your family and friends for a fun time! The staff is always so friendly and helpful too!
It was ok, waited at the counter for like 5-10 min for someone to even help us, the lanes were ok, some damaged gutters, chips in the approach, $7/game $6/shoe rental, they put a card on the lane then charge the card after you are finished. Seems good for kids
They have a deal buy 2 games get 3rd half off until they actually charge you.I was very disappointed in mgt .
It was fun! We had a Groupon which brought us in but we will be back. Little confusion on if you have to pick up your food or if it is brought to you. I saw them delivering some stuff so we didn't go back to get it and it had been waiting. Maybe they could get a buzzer system or it could even pop on the bowling screen
This was the absolute best experience with Wendy who was holding it down by herself for awhile. She took great care of our birthday party of nine. We will be back, but please don't wait for our return for you to go??
Great service, clean bathrooms!
We had a great time. The food was excellent and it was a great way to escape the busyness of life.
You don't have the option to reserve a lane if it's a hour out.so they tell you to come in, just for they to say its a 45 min to 1 hour wait. Mind you it was just two of us. There were lanes open and all. But as soon as we stepped to the side there was a family who asked the wait time and the dude said 30 minutes. We were shocked and were shocked but were still keen on waiting. After an hour we still didn't get a call or text saying our land was ready so we left. And yes we madd sure we got the get in line
Had a blast .. Good food! Good drinks .. kid friendly..
Had a great time with my family here. The prices weren't to bad definitely a better deal if you can get a Groupon before coming. The guy who helped us was kind and friendly.
Venue seemed small based on the size of the bowling competition; most of the competitors were from Maryland. Parking was adequate. Staff were professionals, but they needed more people. Eventhough it was crowded, the bathrooms were clean.
Fun game room. Prize machine is fun for the kids to pick out their own prize. This place has leagues so call ahead for times for walk-ins to bowl. Only one little drawback. They put us next to another bowler when most of the bowling alley was empty.
We had our daughter's birthday party there and if i could give more stars i would. The place was fantastic and the staff were so friendly and attentive! We will be heading back there soon and our daughter already wants her next birthday there.
Great bowling experience and food, but the arcade has the prize machines broken.
My girlfriend and I had the best time ever. The staff was for lack of a better term , amazing. They made it alot of fun, the little bartenders was awesome and worked non stop along with the gentleman working the kitchen. I would highly recommend this bowlero for one enjoyable time. Thank you guys
Only for the food service. The female workers were rude, abrasive and dismissive after they made a mistake with a food order being delivered. Refused to address the issue where the food was not eaten as someone else said it was their child's order. Offered to reheat the order that had been sitting on the wrong table for over 15 mins. Every one else who paid had their order brought directly to them. Not me. The waiter was nice and thanked me for not keeping another order he bought to me in error. Had to ge
This house is absolute trash. Bowlero in general has become trash ever since they took over all of the AMF centers. Do better and take care of your lanes! Your lanes suck!
Busy time around 730pm a day after Christmas. Lanes were good at least lane 40. Food had issues with long cook time and they ran out of pizza sauce bummer couldn't order the flat bread pizza. Looks short staffed and unprepared for the crowd.
It's a fantastic place for families to hang out, offering a welcoming setting that's suitable for children. The team here is friendly and professional, providing excellent service to ensure that both kids and adults have a great time.
Great drinks, very friendly bartender, cheap games, good vibes and a classic spot to go bowling with friends! Always smiles, great customer service and many many lanes available Highly recommend for anyone looking to bowl!
We enjoyed ourselves. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
We had a fantastic time at this bowling alley! It was clean, well maintained, and the staff was exceptionally friendly and accommodating. We were looking for something fun to do on am overnight stop on our way to the beach and we certainly found it! We were treated so well by the staff and had a great night bowling. I would highly recommend AMF alleys, but especially this one in Williamsburg. We will definitely stop again when in the area.
It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.
Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.
Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.
Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.
Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.
Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.
Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.
No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
Arcade prize games are a thrilling highlight in 2025! Claw machines, skee-ball, and ticket-redemption games like basketball offer a rush of skill and chance, with rewards like plushies, toys, or electronics up for grabs. Modern machines feature vibrant lights, digital scoreboards, and responsive controls, amplifying the fun. The lively arcade atmosphere, with cheering crowds and buzzing energy, makes every win feel epic.
