Bowlero Wheat Ridge

Bowlero Wheat Ridge

Reviews Summary

Most reviews praise the friendly, attentive staff and fun atmosphere, with many highlighting excellent service during birthday parties. The lanes are generally well-maintained, and the arcade adds to the experience. However, several criticize high prices, especially for families, and some mention issues with rude managers or poor bathroom maintenance. A few complain about blacklights or limited lane availability. While many rate it highly for cleanliness and service, cost and occasional staff attitude are recurring negatives. The overall impression is positive, with standout service balancing some operational flaws.

Weeeeeeeird alley. Been bowling 35 years, all across the nation and world, and if all alleys were like this, I'd quit. There's a positively eerie vibe like a familiar bowling with tweaks that leave you disturbed and unsettled... No step up to the approach, the length of the approach seems short and the overhang of the ceiling gives a claustrophobic feel at foul line... Overalll I just started launching my ball to leave. It wasn't worth coming here... The amount of discomfort I felt was on a level of letti

A lovely experience for the team! I went for a team party here and it was a great experience all the way around! The staff were great on the drinks and pizza (both were delicious,) plenty of good bowling balls to choose from, great lanes and atmosphere, and a nice arcade offered. Overall, we had an absolute blast bowling here today. Highly recommend!

Went on a date night here and we had a blast! Staff was very warm and overall great atmosphere. Fernando in particular was great and encouraged us to spend some time in the arcade after bowling!

Ashley was wonderful. Great service, she was by herself and still managed to take care of us like she had help. Appreciate the service

We have been to Bowlero a couple times in the last year and we spend well over $150 each time. We always have a great time but I would say that the manager has always been pretty rude to us. Rolls his eyes when we walk in with our kids (yes, I know kids can be annoying at times) but we are friendly, respectful, clean, and tip really well types of customers. Someone in our group brought their own water flask into the bowling alley and he stopped us in the middle of our game and made them go put it back in th

Went in there to bowl a little bit by myself and Tim at the counter seemed kind of impatient. He was dressed like he was maybe a manager or something which kind of disappointed me he was quick to declining my free games says I can only use one at a time even though they don't say that on the coupon. Told me I'd have to wait 30 minutes to get a lane which is fine I get it your busy but In my opinion not an excuse to not have great customer service. I've been here before and it's usually great which is why I

Has a great bday party here for our 9 year old. Friday night and was able to get four lanes with auto bumpers for those who wanted. Staff was great. Brought out tons of food including nachos, pretzels and pizza for the kids. Would be fun to watch football and drink some beers with friends here.

We would like to take a moment to express our thanks and appreciation, and to recognize the employees of Bowlero in Wheat Ridge, Colorado. We would especially like to recognize Cale, Brittany, Dillon, Tiffany, Bean, and Tim (Manager). While this establishment was being remodeled, which was not welcomed by most bowlers, Tim and his team proved to show their ability to work through unforeseen challenges and collaborate well with each other. It was impressive and showed exceptional critical thinking skills

Had the best time, the staff gave my dad cookies for his birthday, they extended our reservation because we ran over. Good food. Clean place, lots of games too.

We took our son and his son. It was great. Reasonably priced. Got a lane right away. Good games too. Didn't eat there. Plenty of parking.

Worst night of bowling in my life. I recently added a Hazmat Pearl to my arsenal, went to try it at this location. Music was too loud, alley was too hot, lane oil behind the foul line and yet, no oil on the lanes, my ball hooked extremely early, and general upkeep was questionable at best.

Ashley did a good job at taking care of us and was super kind throughout our whole visit!!

Perfect night out for a grandson on his birthday. The lanes were in good shape, the employees helped us move to another lane when ours wouldn't return the balls. Also had a ramp for this grandma who can't sling a ball anymore so I could join in the fun

Had fun with my kids, but when it comes to ordering a simple pitcher of soda, unfortunately, there's not that option. $5 a soda with 4 kids, I think, is a bit ridiculous, especially after spending a lot of money to bowl. It's usually a normal thing at a bowling alley to be to get a pitcher of soda. I'll just have to sneak some in next time.

Fabulous experience!!! Very impressed with the size of the facility. Clean, fun and staff met all our needs!!! I haven't been bowling in years. We will be back! Thanks guys for the fun!!

Ive always liked this bowling alley. We used to come here all the time when we lived down the street. Seems like it's only gotten better. If possible, get a bowl of salsa (it's fire) made by the cook (Steph) who had the emerald green hair. I'm in love with her ... I mean her salsa.... Thanks, but I know you're not the owner lol. Dave Hanscom, who I know, was the owner he sold it to Spencer. Spencer sold it to bowlero which is owned by private equity firms. Unless this is Thomas Shannon himself then I'd lik

My daughter had a blast. We won a lot of candy. The value at the arcade was way worth it!!!. We had so much.

We will definitely be back. It was the outing the family needed! The kids enjoyed the great food as well.

Had a great time bowling! The food and drinks were good, with extremely nice staff! Fernando, the manager, was super friendly and makes really good cookies!

The lanes are in good shape and the staff is friendly... But, please, for the love of bowling, BAN ALL BLACKLIGHTS!!! It's getting out of hand lol maybe have like two lanes with them and keep the rest off. It's killing bowling.

Love this bowling alley. Was worried when Bowlero took over but has done an excellent job keeping the lanes busy. I still feel the cost is too high, but I shouldn't tell a massive business like Bowlero how to run and operate their stores.

Excellent experience! We had my sons birthday party here and Christine and the entire staff took excellent care of us. The kiddos had a great time and the price was very reasonable.

Love spending birthdays here doing unlimited bowling. The staff is great! Tonight it's Nando and Eddie! Thank you!

New look is fun and carry. Updated yet has a feel of old school bowling alley my parents might have grown up in. Very clean and open feeling however there's not much seating for spectator watching. Outside of bowlers in the bowlers circle most everyone else will be standing. The fixed counter height style tables are not accommodating for someone in a wheelchair to pull up to. Also anyone with mobility issues. (Older friends or kids) possibly not the best seating options. I think the new bowler look did not

My friend and I had a blast here! The manager on duty was the coolest guy. Thanks Nando!

Worst experience I've had in a long time. Very costly poor service with bartenders, waited an hour for bad quality food you're basically paying for shitty service.

Super fun experience. The guys at the front counter were so funny and made our experience so much better.

Always a great time. Impressed with the staff, super friendly. Also, it is very clean! Always enjoy bowling here

The kitchen and bar area are undergoing a major renovation, and it'll be nice to see it when it's complete. We've attended a few times this summer after purchasing the summer pass and getting 2 games, with shoes, per day, all summer long. The staff has been great except for 1 guy behind the makeshift bar during our most recent visit. He was short with us, and seemed to be out of all the products we would have ordered. Hopefully he was just having a bad day. I can imagine the rating will increase when const

We bought the Summer Bowling Pass for our whole family. So much fun!!!

Absolutely love the environment and people. Staff is always friendly and helpful.

I feel old saying this, but the price for a family to go bowling is absolutely insane. $140 for a family of 5? that was just the lane and shoes for 2 games.. We would not have come if we had known how much it was going to be. Service was nice, price was not.

Everything was flawless from start to finish! We held a birthday party here, and Fallon was a dream to plan with. She was so knowledgeable and made it so easy for this first time Bowlero attendee! Brittany was the manager on staff during our event and she was so incredibly kind and accommodating. Our server Candace was so on top of everything during our event! We had a lot of people with a lot of different things going on all at once and she was such a pro. Finally, when we got home and realized we left a b

Great place for bowling. the bar person is a chef so great pizza as well

Came here on a monday night and drove all the way down from Conifer. It was realy busy and we were having trouble with our Groupon. They made sure they took care of us anyways and really saved the night! Big shout out to Tim for stepping up. If his manager is reading this please know he deserves recognition. We will definitely be back!

Had a lot of fun! Food was yummy

We held my son?s 12th birthday there. It was great. The bowling alley was clean, the staff was friendly, the food was good, the boys loved the arcade games. I would highly recommend them!

Great birthday experience for our six year old. Server and manager/party planner were exceptional. Really modern and priced right Outside could be spruced up a bit or at least cleaned/power washed (sticky and overflowing trash type thing). It's looking kind of shabby walking into the place but otherwise great.

My wife and I bowl here at Wheat Ridge and we have had the worst experience last week . My wife?s purse was turned into Tim the Gm specifically for safe keeping and by the morning her purse was stolen from a Bowlero employee that night . Honestly it's been super disappointing the way Bowlero is handling the situation. Tim has straight up lied to everyone about the purse. He lied to my wife?s face instead of showing any concern . This was a very expensive purse so it's a big deal . We are in contact with the

This is a fine place to bowl. Just a regular bowlero but at least the lanes had nice oil.

Said my name wasn't in the system and denied my free games despite being a league member

Don't let the exterior appearance fool you. The interior was nice. Person behind the counter was helpful. Place was clean and equipment was working great. Only thing was the price for 2 people with shoe rental and 6 games was $62.

Its a good bowling alley. Staff was great and the food was not that bad for a bowling alley. They have a small arcade with some games that the kids really liked. There is plenty of parking and not too crowded. We were there during some bowl games, and they have big tvs behind the lanes so we could watch the game. All in all it was a great time. Lanes also have bumpers for the little kids.

Ashley helped my friend and I with a weird groupon misshap. We are thankful for her and how she handled the situation. Lots of fun bowling and the bartenders were sweet too.

I've bowled for over 30 years and the manager Tim Lija places open bowling next to us when the entire bowl alley is empty and to top it off we are bowling a handicap bowler that entails more time to finish the 3 game series!

Had a great time bowling with friends, Jade levasseur is engaged with groups and know just what we needed! The cleanest bowling alley we have been to. very well taken care of! This is the place to play league if you are into competitions!

Fun for all. We enjoyed the upgraded look and features.

UPDATE: 9/29/24 - Being a league bowler, I've spent A LOT of time here since this last rating. I appreciate all of the staff, we're always taken care of, especially by Tim, Cale and Dylan. They do their best with what they're given by Bowlero. My rating has changed because the staff here IS worth 5 stars. Bowlero needs to step up for them and make it easier to take care of their patrons! (Old review: Not happy. Will NEVER visit on a Sunday, one bartender with 500 people. Skipped when trying to get a drink a

Serenity the ?manger? was being a total bish all night. She wouldn't get us a lane that had a table next to it despite it being a Tuesday night . She assumed I was drunk because some guy that didn't even walk in with us told us we had a couple of drinks. Told us we could only get one drink per person as grown adults !!!! She's distributing as a person . Fire her. Definitely some discriminatory undertones telling a black women she's drunk with no proof except from sum guy! And not believing him over me. With

RIP OFF! This place will nickel and dime you to till your broke . 55$ for 2 kids to bowl 3 games. 8$ a beer , 5$ a medium soda. It's a shame?

My experience with this house is the bowling is pretty good. My issue with this establishment is the management. Last night in our league bowling (week 27) was the first night we had a buffer lane on lane 21. Are league has 100 bowlers and we take lanes 1-20. I decided to go up to the front desk and ask what was going on with lane 21. I was first told the lane was under maintenance and being worked on. So then I proceeded to go and ask the lane mechanic if there was anything wrong with 21 and he said to his

I don't usually write reviews but I wanted to come on here to give a shout out to the nicest manager I've come across - Shelby! She was extremely welcoming and so nice! It felt like we had the red carpet treatment to be honest lol! The bowling alley itself is very clean and everyone that assisted us during our time there was so kind! Will definitely be back :)

Good place but the prices are extremely unreasonable. I was there for an hour and played 3 games with my girlfriend. We didn't buy any drinks, just bowled. The total was around $80. TOTAL RIPOFF

Came in to get a new ball and bag. Had a great selection and Greg took care of business drilling my new ball and touching up for after I threw a game. Thanks!! I'll be back for sure.

First year bowling here. Previously bowled at a family owned house where weekly printed recap sheets were available. Here you have to go on line to see them and if you do lane assignments are always wrong. Felt with a corporate person when signing up for the league and she was pretty much worthless. Almost all the information she gave was wrong!

Tons of fun, great prices and no crowded lanes. They follow all the social distancing and you don't have to wear a mask while you bowling because everyone is a good distance.

The league I bowl on here is pretty good. The waitress is amazing.

The place was clean and the staff was nice! The only reason why I gave 4 stars is because the price per person is the same for all ages. I have a 4 year old and a 2 year old. While I get that we are all doing the same thing, we didn't stay for the whole game because my kiddo's attention span is limited and they were just done. I feel they should have a kid's pricing and adults pricing.

My family and I have bowled at this location twice, now. Once with a reservation on a weeknight, and today(Sunday) just walking in. This is a fun bowling alley. The people are friendly, and the service is consistently good in our limited experience. I do have couple of minor complaints, however. Today, I tried to reserve a lane online, but the system was not working for whatever reason. No big deal, I could call. Except the website says customer service is not working on Sunday. When I reserved a lane, I wa

Love this place. Went for a random impromptu date night and had a blast. No wait on a Wednesday night. Got the deal where you get the third game for $5 with a free $5 arcade card. We honestly had just as much fun using the $5 card in the arcade than we did throwing balls.

Clean and nice facility. Not a great selection of food or beer.

Fun place! We were able to have a pizza party, and bowl for several hours, at a decent price... I would recommend the place for all!

I really enjoyed it here. They are definitely understaffed, and it showed, but they put in a lot of effort to keep us happy with the resources they had. Good atmosphere, quality facility and technology, good food and beer. Definitely worth checking out. Will be going back again.

Fun, clean, and updated! Brittany was amazing and accommodated our group of adults with disabilities. Would recommend bowling here anytime!

Had a fantastic time on Sunday, and I cannot say enough good things about our server, Marlena - She was on top of everything and was incredibly kind. Big fan, cannot recommend enough.

Clean with friendly staff and good service.

Unfriendly personnel. They charged each of us the price for a whole lane even though we were using one together. We did not get any receipts either. Apart from that the place is nice and clean.

Great atmosphere and helpful staff!

Decent lanes, lots of balls & friendly staff!

Dead most of the time but it's nice lanes

Let me tell you how amazing and easy it was to set up reservations. First of all Sierra made setting up the reservations a breeze, by offering different packages and working with me to iron out all the details until I had what would best suit my party. But the other reason for the exceptional rating was due to how extremely professional and attentive the entire staff were. Thank you again for a great time

I am from Texas and just finished bowling in a tournament with 200 bowlers at Bowlero Wheat Ridge in Colorado. This is probably one of the better Bowlero bowling centers that I have bowled in. The machines ran great during the tournament so hats off to the mechanic. Additionally, lanes appeared to be clean with little dirt coming back on the bowling balls. The manger did an exceptional job working in multiple positions throughout the center. On a negative note, 2 wait staff was not enough for 200 bowle

By far the best I've been to. lanes are in good condition easy house shot. Plenty of room to stretch my legs. Pro shop is helpful and friendly there prices are fair with a good selection.

Tim, the manager, said we had to take our water bottle back to the car. We had people in the parking lot coming in & we put 2 tables together & he made us put them back since they hadn't checked in yet even though 5 of us had paid & the tables accommodate 4. He stood there & watched until it was done. This guy is just way over the top. Total power trip. We'll find another place to bowl in the future.

HORRIBLE! I come for Wednesday bowling league, Merry Mixers. On day one, an employee named Tim said I couldn't bring in my water bottle. I feel this is wrong and unlawful. After putting my water bottle in the car, Bowlero doesn't staff very well as they only have two servers for 40 lanes. When you have 4 people per table, that is 2 servers to handle 160 orders, refills, keeping tables clean, monies and so on. With that, Bowlero computers are not up to date as servers have to write down your order on p

Great bowling alley. We held a bowling holiday party here and have great service and enjoyed the lanes, bar, food, and arcade!

The lanes were super greasy, we had to change lanes in order to enjoy the game. Don't take outside food in or expect to be told to throw it away. I had just got off work and brought some food with me to share with my 1 year old daughter and got told to throw my food away. The manager said it would be handled and that it shouldn't happen again. The liquor and everything is very highly priced and they don't allow you to give your own tip, they voluntarily take their own tip out of what you are charged. In all

A group of us decided to go bowling and i totally forgot this place still existed. But I was happy it does . I believe that during the day they are closed but we went on Tuesday night we played 3 games and for 4 people it came to $98.00 . Definitely not what I expected but that's ok the actual bowling experience was good I don't have anything negative to say about the bowling lanes / balls / shoes / customer service was all good . The food definitely think twice before you order anything on the menu the nac

I came in to get a ball worked on and then wanted to roll a game or two with it. Lanes 1-6 were under normal lighting and the rest of the house was under black lights which is fine for people who want to have fun. I came in to practice under normal lighting conditions which were available on lanes 1-8. The rest of the house was under black light and about 6 of those lanes were being used. I simply asked the front desk to keep the white lights on where I wanted to bowl and show the pro shop employee how my b

Not too busy and had a great time bowling.

Went here as our typical spot was packed for league day. The place was very clean, good lanes, family friendly, and had a small game room. Kids had a ton of fun! The food menu was ok, nothing to write home about, so recommend eating light here.

Me and a good group of friends are regulars here and we loved it when we first came. But now with the new staff it's completely garbage. They only use half there lanes and make false statements as to why the others are cut off. There website is a lie they claim there specials start at 8pm and that league is done at 8pm as well but we haven't got a lane under 9pm since the new staff has arrived. Don't come here they'll waste your time and argue with you and blame it on you.

Marlena was a saint. Pay her an extra 2 dollars an hour. She was attentive, prioritized her customers as well as the business. I've been in the industry for over a decade and she truly is an asset

We brought my mentally-impaired brother on New Year's Eve. It was fun and festive and the equipment seemed good (I'm a novice). It was expensive, but I thought that was holiday pricing. The food was awful, but what do you expect at a bowling alley? Went to make another reservation this evening. $212 for four adults who don't drink to play a couple games? Asinine. We'll be going to Wheat Ridge Lanes. If you force people to buy F&B it should at least be decent.

The promotional deal that we participated in was great. The staff was also great. The atmosphere was fun and everyone there appeared to be having fun! We sure did...but, the men's bathrooms were in horrible shape. Urinals were broken, toilet plugged, the smell was sickening. It appeared that the bathrooms were not getting much attention. Overall, not a deal breaker. Worth another visit because it might have been a fluke incident.

Service from the management staff was good. However it took over 45 minutes to receive a food order. Not sure if the cook was late or what but we weren't very happy. I guess a reservation with a huge food order was due at the same time we ordered our food. A little more communication would have been nice.

My kids went to a birthday party here. The parents said the birthday deal was good, @~$30/per person. The got pizza, wings, sliders, fries, drinks, cookie, fruit, $10 arcade game cards, and a $5 voucher (converted to more game card due to availability. And the kids bowled for a couple of hours too. That's a deal. A parent said their beer charge was a rip off at $9/per, but hey.. good for a kids party.

Wow! Where to begin? I had my birthday here and the team did an amazing job from start to finish! From the planning process to the actual event, Bowlero was so helpful in making my night amazing. At the lanes, the staff was so attentive and made the event very special. They set up personalized signage, always were checking in, and gave us additional time which everyone was so grateful for. Everyone raved about the food and drinks and the overall experience! Thank you Bowlero Wheat Ridge!!

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s it like visiting an arcade today?

It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.

Is it better to go alone or with friends?

Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.

What should I bring to an arcade?

Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.

What’s the best time to visit an arcade?

Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.

Can I meet new people at arcades?

Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.

Are arcades still just for kids?

Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.

Are there events or tournaments I can join?

Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.

What if I’m not great at arcade games?

No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”

Are pool tables in arcades still good in this modern age?

Yes, pool tables in arcades remain a fantastic draw in 2025! Games like 8-ball or 9-ball offer tactile, skill-based fun that blends strategy and precision. Modern tables feature smooth felt, responsive cues, and vibrant designs, enhancing the classic experience. Arcades foster a social vibe with casual matches or competitive tournaments, appealing to all skill levels. Unlike digital games, pool’s physicality—lining up shots, feeling the cue’s weight—keeps it timeless.
