I had an unpleasant experience with one of the older staff members which ruined my time there. What should have been an enjoyable time with my family turned out to be unpleasant. I will admit I was overly excited to be bowling with my family and started bowling before the bins were set, that's my fault. But the reaction when asking for assistance from the older staff members was rude and accusatory. Indicating that we had done that same error twice. Mind you we literally had just started to bowl. Any wa
The best staff ;-) Seriously the lanes are clean and the food is good. Combo arcade, bar and lanes. Really nice place for families. Nice evening, spring break and summer specials for when the kids are out. I recommend the flatbreads. Chicken Bacon Ranch is bomb with a lemonade!
This place is awesome! The staff is super friendly. Especially Kim, Ashley and Mark. I truly enjoy bringing my family and playing a few games. Thank you guys for always making it a fun experience ??
Complete remodel since the last time we were here. Super clean, new floors, arcade area. Lanes were challenging, staff was friendly and helpful. Got in some practice in a new environment. They eventually turned off the lights and had the black lights going with projectors on the background. Pretty slick. We prefer normal bowling but I'm sure people with kids love it. Definitely, worth a shot if you haven't been recently. Only downside is all Bowlero?s are pricey.
Really fun place! Had fun with my friends and had some delicious drinks too! Clean, friendly and good music!
This is a late review; better late than never. Last month I had a las minute birthday celebration for a coworker. We had THE BEST experience. The entire Bowlero team was so great. Very patient, attentive and unbelievably helpful. Especially Kim. I believe she was a supervisor. She was so great I kept insisting on tipping her every time we ordered and she respectfully declined. We had a huge group plus unexpected guests and still we had the best service! Xero complaints. Thank you , Kim and team. 100% will g
Not what I was expecting honestly when it came to the ?cosmic bowl??..kinda underwhelming but it is what it is. The main floor was clean however the women?s bathroom smelled pretty bad? They have online ordering with table side delivery. Didn't have a chance to try that out but that seemed pretty neat. The drink menu did not have prices displayed. So I was a bit hesitant to even order any alcoholic mixed drinks. A large order of fries cost $12 and although it was good, definitely not worth the price for th
Great place to bowl with family! It's obvious with our picture. Shout out to Mr. Mark taking this photo for us. All the staffs are nice and professional. We love Miss Kim and Ashley for always taking care of us. Christina always check us in with ease, we actually have purchased summer bowling pass and we have recently got our fall pass for this coming season. The foods are good and always made with care. Nina and Frankie always deliver food to us. Sir Bob also takes care of the machine when in a timely mann
We recently hosted our company holiday party at Bowlero Waukegan and it was a smooth experience from start to finish. Kim and her staff were welcoming and attentive, making sure every detail was properly handled. The food was hot, fresh and flavorful. The lanes and facility were clean and well-maintained. It was a lot of fun and I highly recommend Bowlero Waukegan for corporate events or just a great time out with friends!
We came early to experience it before it became too crowded. The food is good & nicely priced. We had a good time and it was something fun to do while my niece was on Navy Liberty leave. ?
Absolutely love this place couldn't even tell you where to begin with no experience I had coming here. Every one here is awesome. Mark. Ashley, marelly and Cesar are my absolute favorite. No matter the question they have the answer and no matter the anxiety I have of asking they understand what I am trying to say. They have began to know my order and shoe size and truthfully that is a stress relief when you struggle talking with people thank you everyone for being so patient and kind to me and everyone I br
We had SO much fun celebrating New Year?s Eve at Bowlero! The food package was great, we bowled a bunch of games, and service was fantastic! Highly recommend this family event!!!
Kim was the sweetest!!! She made tonight a really good experience. Love coming here always a fun time!
It was good, I guess. Clean, nice facility. A nice guy helped me & my kids find the best shoes. I was put off a bit by the high prices. It cost us about $40 to play one frame (me & 2 nine year olds) Maybe I'm out of touch, but that's an expensive 40 mins or so of creating memories that memories that could last a lifetime.
This place has terrible customer service we had three lanes open for bowling.. 9 adults 6kids.. not everyone played.. but it was my first time here and we were there to have a good time but resulted to be an unpleasant experience.. from the manager to the bartender in the pool area all had an attitude and didn't want to sell alcohol to us because they felt ?uncomfortable? when we clearly gave them two valid state id?s. Prior to me wanting to buy alcohol they my cousins had bought a game of pool and had boug
This Was Awsome In My Opinion. It Was My First Time Going And Enjoyed Myself . All By My Owne Self
I grew up going to this bowling alley but it was called Lakehurst bowling and i had a great time bowling and I will be back
Nice and well kept up place. Very expensive for what it is however.
Great place to bowl I really wish they would have their sound system with the music a little louder it would create a better atmosphere
During a recent visit to this Bowlero Waukegan, which took place shortly after Thanksgiving, we encountered several service issues. Firstly, it took an unusually long time, approximately 75 minutes, to receive our complete order of food and beverages. While I understand that this is primarily a bowling venue and not a full-service restaurant, the delay was notable. Regarding the food and drink pricing, I found it to be excessively high. For instance, an order of three portions of pretzels, which appeared n
It is a Fun place for bowling. Special evening lighting adds excitement to games. Good to enjoy time with family. Friends or workplace teams. Pricing varies for day, evening and night times. Overall pricing is reasonable. It also has a video gaming arcade for kids.
Pretty good place with lots of lanes and arcade games. Best time would be a weekday I guess when they've less crowd. Would like to see if they wipe down the balls and benches before they open a lane. Friendlier front desk employees would definitely help.
If I could give it more than 5 I would, the staff give incredible advice on improvements to bowling and never rush at the end of the day, good food and if you're a regular like us they remember what you want which is always a plus, they have great attitudes and I enjoy if ever time I come to bowl
The place was clean, the staff where very friendly, we had a lot of fun bowling. The food was ok but it's as expected. Will be returning.
Had a great time bowling with my best friend of almost 20 years. We went an hour after opening. It was nice because no one else was there and we had a blast. The cartoons they displayed on the bowling screen are so cute. Military discount and very friendly staff. They also played older music with music videos on screen projectors. Was nice to see
First of all it's too expensive to come and play. $16 per person to start and then $10 a game per person. I am fro west coast visiting family and wanted to come out for bowling but won't be back. Environment is too old school, lanes are in fare condition but not worth $16 a person. Our lane broke down twice and had to wait a while to get it restarted. We spent almost $200 for a family fun which is little too much for couple of games of bowling. Customer service is not worth $16 per person. NOT COMING BACK A
Place is clean and spacious. Lot of parking. You can play bowling, billiards and arcade games.
New management. Needs to get with the post covid regulations. No water fountain only $3 bottle water no curtesy water. Couldnt order a pitch of drink with out ordering a family size combo. Even in the bar area when ordering alcoholic beverages which were good. Manager was hiding and not helping the one lady responsible for starting all games and cleaning shoes. Definatly seemed overworked. The advertising needs to be updated cause the sample platter which is posted everywhere and on the site every tv. Said
I love this place. It's the perfect bowling place for everyone . Kids, dates you name it! It's beautiful and fun inside, great staff who makes sure you are taken care off and delivers great service. I can't wait till we go again .
This place has lots of weekday specials for cheap bowling and drinks. We went on a Monday night and payed $10.89 per person for unlimited bowling and shoes includes. Everyone had a blast and will def come again.
Kim was amazing ! She was very helpful and kind .
Nice place, you can play bowl or the arcade games but it also has pool tables, you can drink at the bar and eat some snacks. Recommended.
Decent prices and great service. Has a real bar instead of whatever joke is going on at round1 bowling.
Doesn't look like much from outside, but very nice inside. All areas were clean and ell maintained. Prices were reasonable and drinks were great.
Great groupon deal, good food, had great time with my grandson
was in last night on a busy night the employees were great an very accommodating even during what appeared to be a league night. fast and friendly. we ordered light appetizers which came out hot and fresh. much recommended
Over $100 for 4 people to play 2 games on 1 lane. $5 for a lemonade that was clearly a regular lemonade you can get anywhere. This bowling alley serves for tourists visiting the area and the prices reflect that. Been here twice after the remodel and the lanes were dry both times. Couldn't even throw my usual hook it would gutter every single time. I'm not a professional by any means, my average is 160 and here it was 60
We came for our daughter's birthday and got completely blown away with the staff the service and the food. A shout out to the Manger Chris that help set it up another to Jordan that's is a certain hard worker helping with our needs. I remembered this place before but they've gone through a completely 360 change for the better. Come out enjoy the great time the great food with great staff this place is only gonna get better I know we're definitely coming back. I missed how great this place is and glad to see
Bowlero in Waukegan helped us host our Fraternity Reunion party. Manager (Kim) and her Team did an absolute AMAZING job with helping ensure our group had a fun time. You can tell Kim cares about her job and patrons. She was constantly checking in with us, was super friendly, and very thorough in communicating how are package and options would work. You can tell she cared about her Team too as they respected her lead with everything and were all having fun while working. BIG KUDOS to KIM & Team for their wor
Hosted my friends birthday party there last night and it was amazing! The staff was very accommodating, the space and vibe was really nice, and everything was reasonably priced. Definitely making this a regular spot.
My kids love coming here and even though it was busy the only 2 ladies working on a busy night were very nice.
Great bowling alley with a small arcade and good food. Pricey for bowling but a fun environment. Really crowded when we went on a Saturday night.
Well kept bowling alley, great staff and great place for family fun!
The experience at Bowlero in Waukegan was mediocre. Nothing really stood out or was great. Service was very bland- they gave a feeling like they were tolerating the customers because they had to, but seemed to be miserable working there. My husband and our family were upset to find that there was an 18% "service charge" on 5 medium soft drinks that we picked up and carried to our table. The service charge is a rip off. I can justify the service fee if the drinks or food were brought to our table, but why s
To be honest my kids love it It a family place ...love that buffalo wings really good employee really nice and helpful ... We will be back ??
I'm having so much fun at this place! Super cool atmosphere.
Went for a kid?s birthday party and stayed for a drink. Our drinks were delicious and the place is fun and clean. Kiddos had lots of fun.
Extremely not satisfied because we were treated unfairly and in my opinion it was rude the way we got treated by the lady works in the front desk. Maybe she didn't like our accent!! But she was very rude. Her knowledge about treating customers or international customers is trash and racist. Of course I don't recommend people to go there if you'd like to be treated good go somewhere else.
Such a good vibe, fresh food and the music was great. It was was a good time. I came on a Wednesday
My family and I celebrated my son?s 13th birthday here on a Saturday (02-12-2022). We had an absolutely amazing time and truly enjoyed ourselves. It's definitely well worth the money; you get unlimited food, drinks, and a $25 arcade game card with your birthday package. The manager went above and beyond to make sure my family and I had fun and enough food for everyone. The kitchen staff was just as amazing with food presentation. I couldn't have asked for a greater team. Thank you so much from my family to
Not a bad place to kill some time. The bartender is a sweet old lady. I had to explain my drink orders to her but she had a heavy hand so it was a fare trade. The chilly-cheese freedom fries (remember that was a thing lol) were great. Not a bad place to kill some time.
I went today for my first time and honestly I loved the recent era look on it. The UV lights are amazing, unlimited bowling is amazing, even the staffs are nice and cool. I would recommend to come here for a good night out. Would definitely come back! Thanks for the fun experience!
I had an amazing time during my visit. The new GM Chris made sure that everyone was enjoying themselves and made sure our food came out rather quickly. Thank you so much Chris.
Had an amazing time! Chris went above and beyond to help my family out, made sure our food was out fast and gave us the best service i have had in years. I will be returning because of him!
Great 1st time experience here! Enjoyed a small family celebration with a New years package along with celebrating a birthday. Staff was pleasant to work with and accommodating. Great customer service! Thank you!!
Just got my Fall Pass. Great value! Very nice staff and clean bowling place.
My family went there on a Saturday evening around 8pm. Hadn't been in a while so we were surprised that the parking lot was nearly empty. It's usually packed with a short wait; this time it was barely 1/3 full. The food was great. The front desk service was not and the price for bowling was too high. The pin mechanism on our lane malfunctioned twice and we were told they did not have the staff to reset the pins. Sorry... we were disappointed with the price, lack of response to their problems, and we won't e
Its not a bad place the price, I was expecting it to be very expensive. The food was good & reasonably priced. The only issue I had was with the score monitor for our particular lanes, the letter keys were off. Update or fix the monitors & they'll get that 5th star. Overall it's a nice place for family fun!!
Bathrooms were EXTREMELY NASTY. Mozzarella sticks took 30 minutes to get. They automatically charge 18% gratuity when you order. There was a lot of internal miscommunication causing them to overcharge for a birthday package. Instead of refunding, they offered more food and beverages.
Staff is friendly and courteous. The food and alcohol taste amazing. The arcade has a nice selection of games. The atmosphere is nice and clean. If you decide to bowl here you're going to have a great time.
Celebrated my daughter's Bday with some friends and her cousins. WE ALL HAD A BLAST. Chris the manager was amazing he made sure we had everything we needed. Jordan was very helpful and friendly. The food was great and all the kids had an amazing time. Thank you Chris and Jordan for taking care of us and making Jazmin's 14th Bday amazing!!
We had a great time! Music and atmosphere was fun!
Walked in on Saturday afternoon and there was no wait. We had 7 in our party so we needed two lanes (6max per lane). Staff was friendly and helpful. Not convinced the food preparer's ever washed their hands, but we didn't order food so I didn't think about it much. Lanes were in good condition. They had a cosmic or glow lighting thing going on but still able to bowl fine. Total cost for 7 shoe rentals and one game each was about $90. Seems like it's more expensive than other bowling alley I've been to but f
Great customer service, clean and stocked restroom. During cosmic bowl times it's a little dark. Late evening bowling you must go thru a metal detector.
The inside looks much better than the outside. Nostalgic feel to this bowling alley. Friendly staff, clean and not crowded. The only reason for a 4 instead of 5 is no food service and little understaffed. I definitely recommend and would come here again.
Fun place to shoot pool for $5 and bowl and keep kids busy in arcade games area they serve food ,drinks, alcohol, pizza and their mozzarella sticks are delicious ?? best in town I've had and the staff and customer service are very nice and friendly I never have a problem here this my favorite place to go hang out at my husband and I we have fun ?? Everytime
I bowl here every Tuesday for league play. Overall it is good. They do seem to be under staffed at times which is why they get 4 stars. I think the food for a bowling alley is actually pretty good. Good manager, very reasonable.
Clean, non-smoking place that doesn't limit the time. You only pay for the number of games played. They honored a military discount and we saw plenty of service members. We had a blast.
Great experience.. Fun place to spend with group of friends
Very sad story here for me, a "new manager" needs to get to work, food area NOT CLEAN, balls to play, need replacement, restrooms need better attention. i will be back soon, and will be my final say if ever enter such place, and i will close with this, a bag of popcorns $7.00 no way........
It's fun but expensive food is good too
Great Spot, clean, food, pool, arcade with prizes and of course bowling. Fair prices all day long. Support this place.
Modern bowling alley, surprisingly not a lot of space around the lanes. This became an issue when watching competition bowling.
This location has improved leaps and bounds since the last time I was here. The staff are very friendly and attentive. It's the perfect place to throw a party for your kids or for yourself!
SUPER dated...lanes are very oily.... just an over all "different" experience.
Staff was really nice especially the lady at the bar with blonde hair. She greeted us and was very helpful.
Bowlero's lanes were well oiled, have great club like atmosphere while maintaining a family friendly playlist. My food and drink tasted great with no complaints. I will be coming back.
Loved my outing with family this place was amazing food was great drinks was the bomb very clean ESTABLISHMENT a place where everyone can enjoying kids and adults. Keep up the great work ????????
Great place, kind staff & great food/ drinks !
Manager Kim was truly exceptional in ensuring that my kids and family had a wonderful time bowling.
Got here when they opened on Sunday, greeted by several friendly staff and it was very enjoyable experience. Took my 4 year old son bowling for the first time and they were very helpful and accommodating.
Older lanes but good prices and well kept.
Awesome bowling alley close to the naval base. Employees were friendly and helpful definitely coming back next time I'm in the area.
Dirty, even for a bowling alley. Little pride in ownership. Empty liquor bottles in parking lot (more of a reflection of the area than this business). Everything you touch is sticky and dirty. Smells like the carpet hasn't been shampooed in a decade. Dirty glasses left on bar from previous night. Concessions worker unwilling to provide more than three extra styrofoam plates and a few napkins for a child's prepaid birthday party. Manager on duty was pleasant and much more accommodating, saving the locati
Nice atmosphere. Wish they had more seating for eating.
Solid and inexpensive. When we went on. Saturday night, they had two girls working the whole food and bar area. Come on Mgmt! Get some more help behind the counter!
Had a fabulous time. Played the unlimited bowl for only 11.99$ per person. Drinks were on point. And the wings were delicious. Making this my Monday night place to be!
It was cozy. Everything is bigger in Texas, including bowling alleys...Lol. My children had a great time. My son, who just graduated from Naval Boot Camp, wanted to have some fun. He did! ??
It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.
Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.
Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.
Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.
Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.
Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.
Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.
No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
Yes, pool tables in arcades remain a fantastic draw in 2025! Games like 8-ball or 9-ball offer tactile, skill-based fun that blends strategy and precision. Modern tables feature smooth felt, responsive cues, and vibrant designs, enhancing the classic experience. Arcades foster a social vibe with casual matches or competitive tournaments, appealing to all skill levels. Unlike digital games, pool’s physicality—lining up shots, feeling the cue’s weight—keeps it timeless.
