Here on vacation from out of state and brought the wife and kids bowling on a Friday night. Price per person for 4 hours of unlimited bowling was reasonable, however, if you have bowling shoes bring them as they're like $6 per pair to rent. Lanes seemed to be well maintained. I was able to smash out a few 200+ games during my stay. Food was decent and the kids had a blast with the pool tables and arcade.
Had a great time with the family. We ordered their appetizer deal and the pizza with free refill pitcher. Great deal. Had a blast bowling with kids. Clean spot. Friendly. Not a lot of tables. However some family's group them together taking like 3 at a time.
"We visited with a voucher for 2, but the staff graciously accommodated our extra guest. The service was extremely attentive and we had a wonderful overall experience here."
This is so massive compared to the one at Buffalo Grove. This is the first I visited and I believe it started recently. This was a warehouse earlier and they renovated. Ambience is good and sufficient lanes for the bowling. This spot came easily accommodate good number of birthday parties simultaneously.
Had so much fun at the New Peterson bowling alley. I hope it stays there. Staff is incredible and service was great
Mike, justing, and Ditto made the entire night, best customer service I've had in a while. Helped make our experience better and it was our fist time in. ??
My family & I enjoyed ourselves here. Customer service was amazing. Used our Groupon voucher with no issues. We ordered the platter sampler it was delicious. I highly recommend this place.
Justin the bartender was amazing. The drinks were great and made us feel welcome. Definitely will be back for visit Justin
The staff were prompt and friendly in getting us setting up and providing catering. They were generous enough to let us finish our game despite paying by the hour. Will definitely come back here with my friends!
The customer service is excellent. The staff went out of the way to find a lost Crocs jibbitz for a little girl and found it. 10/10 Edmund and Eduardo are heroes!
Mike and Justin were the best, they really made our night out the best. 10/10 would bowl again.
Great place to bowl! Great place to eat! Great place to have fun! Shout out to the GM Dave and Justin the bar tender slash hype man.
The night bowling was a lot of fun. It's a nice, clean bowling alley, there's an arcade, pool tables, a bar, food, and the staff was great. Friendly, accommodating and very helpful. The lanes are well kept, electronic bumpers if you need them, the little ramps for small kids shaped like dinosaurs and the animations during the games change depending on what theme you choose when you set up the game. Didn't try the food but it looked decent from the people who had some. All in all it was a good time, not too
Happy place, fully satisfied. Yummy snacks see my kid enjoying the snack, loved it a lot! In Tuesdays after 6 p.m. one game/person is $2.50 and in Sunday?s one game/person is $5. Shoes $5 extra. Go and have funnnnn!!!!
I will give this place a 0 stars they charged us 5 or more times of 100+, can't process a refund until days later. Guy in the front is very slow and clueless, charged us for us drinks but forgot the place the order to the food counter.
Very nice bowling alley! Has games , arcade, bar and food options. Very nice and clean in good area. Was there for a Thanksgiving weekend bowling tournament. Has a great time! Will come back!
Great customer service. The manager working on Sunday saw us struggling with our toddler and jumped in to help. The other associates were also friendly and helpful. The lanes were well maintained and everything was very clean.
I really enjoy this location. It's very clean and th staff is really friendly and helpful.
My son's in their beginner bowling League. Everyone there is super friendly. Very much recommend
Much better than the Bowlero in Waukegan. The crowd is much more, uh, quiet and less rowdy than the ghetto crowds of Waukegan.
Went after a long time with a friend for a couple of games. Service was good. Got the bowling shoes and got assigned a lane. Was clean. Music was not too loud so could talk as well. Parking lot was clean and maintained. Will definitely visit again.
Justin was great!! Definitely will come back to see him !
Way too expensive for anything here!!! Auto tip on each purchase that's from the bar tenders mouth. Way too hot!! The Petersen squad organizers were great the other employees not very friendly. I would never bowl at a Bowlero if this wasn't ran here.
Justin was really awesome at this location, the vibes are always great, 10/10.
I want to thank the Manager David for helping our party enjoy our visit. It was my cousins 9th Birthday and he went above and beyond to make this party memorable for her. We thank you very much Sir. We will definitely be telling friends they should consider doing parties here. :)
Nice employees, very lowkey bowling spot. Loved it
A Perfect Strike! Great Fun, Even Better Food and Value!
Clean, Profesional, Fun. Great Night out with the Boys here ??
It's been about 9-10 years of me joining my buddy for his squad to run their pots during the Petersen tournament and all I can say is that bringing it back to Illinois and bringing back Lisette and Vanesa have made it one of the best experiences we've had in years! It brought back memories to the ?old Pete? and we enjoyed every bit of it this year. It felt as though Sandy was still around. The check in experience, the knowledge and familiarity of the tournament, the lane ?malfunctions?, the offset pins, the
We come at least once a month, it's so much fun! Except for when the bartender, Catherine, talks badly about her coworkers, asks us to talk badly about her coworkers to the management and for us to talk her up to the management so she can work busier days. Makes coming here ever uncomfortable! We have overheard her talk badly about bowlers to other bowlers, It is simply bad business!
Even tho it looked like it was under some construction, the place was fabulous and fun. My kids had a great time at the place.
Fun and clean but wayyyy over-priced. A family of four should not cost $160 dollars for two hours of bowling on a Saturday. Will come back if prices are reasonable again.
Definitely fun! Plenty of space and activities. Very clean too! I think it's a bit overpriced for bowling and there are other bowling alleys i would rather go to and play for less. Especially because they charge per person/per game! Also, finding this place was a struggle! It's in an unusual spot and the sign is on the opposite side of the building from the road so you can't even see if your in the right spot.
First time here and honestly the bar tender was amazing ?? forgot to ask for her name but YOU ROCK GIRL! We had so much fun 10/10 recommend!!
Had my wife?s birthday in April and Travis knocked it out of the park, now it's my birthday and Travis and Kyle did an AMAZING job. Table, set up, pizza, drinks, and they even helped out with birthday candles.
The staff was super friendly and helpful! Definitely recommend bowing and the arcade for a family outing or a larger group event.
I went here for a birthday party. All employees were incredibly cheerful and positive. Even when we broke the bowling system ( it happened 3 times ??) they were very understanding. the food was amazing and everything was sparkly clean, overall I had a great time!
Justin the bartender was great! Very friendly and prompt ??
Went to watch the professional bowlers.Good food offered at bar.
Almost hard to find but this is a really good alle. Staff was friendly.
Love it. Good for families and friends
Bowlero Vernon hills location has the best lanes I've seen from any other Bowlero! Clean and consistent on a regular, Phil, the facility manager, has put time and effort into the center and does amazing work there! He's a hard worker and puts his all into what he does! Props to that man!
Great place for a birthday party! Friendly fast service too!
Had a great time bowling and super good customer service
Honestly they really mis market on their sign it looks like $9.99 per game but it's actually $9.99 per person per game which they were empty on a Friday night. Not worth it save your money go somewhere else. They play the oldest non popular music you can imagine from the 2010s
it's way more expensive than other lanes but nicer
Great place for a birthday party, food and drinks. Bar and arcade, too.
Dan was absolutely fantastic. He was very friendly and helpful. It is very nice when customer service is priority for a company. Truly made the birthday gathering better through his attentiveness and his pleasant demeanor. The Assistant General Christopher was also great and Had a wonderful sense of humor. Thank you both for everything. It was greatly appreciated.
The staff at bowlero was very disappointing and unprofessional. We had a bowling tournament there and they treated us like garbage. The facility manager was un knowledged andTalked down to us. He wouldn't clean the lanes and left dust everywhere! He delayed the tournament by 20 minutes.
ALL BOWLEROS SUCK. PERIOD TERRIBLE SERVICE !!! Line is always long to get food. One or people working max. At at high school tournament
This bowling alley is really cool!! The glow in the dark and the music they played really made the night great!! Definitely recommend
This place was outstanding! The manager Marc S gave us superb service! The place is super clean and updated. The drinks are awesome! I'm very happy I chose this location. I will definitely be coming back. Thanks for the great experience.
Best this center has been in awhile, oiled regularly, lanes kept up well, still has an issue here and there but it's showing that care has been going into the alley lately. The only thing is to finish the ugly arcade that's been left vacant for months. Asides from that, the lanes are the best I've seen in years!
The bowling was really nice. Clean lanes. The foidvus Way Overpriced, and they add a service fee based on a percentage of your bill. Very uncool. The chicken sandwich was salty, and I asked No Pickle, got a nasty pickle. Tacos were good. Overall, it is not appealing to eat there at these prices.
Reasonably clean, a little short-staffed, decent equipment, but expensive ($10/game and $6 for shoes). Maybe I'm a little out of touch, but just a few miles away, Fair Haven Lanes has Thursday and Friday specials for about $15 for all you can bowl (including shoe rental). Or Lakeside Lanes (even closer), will run you about $10/game (WITH shoe rental)
This was the go to bowling spot for birthday parties or when family is in town. Recently, I've come here with one of my friends who is very into bowling. It's a great place to bowl. There are some errors here and there, so I wouldn't say it's a 5 stars, but it's the best lanes I've seen as a casual bowler. The price is another thing that can make someone not want to bowl here, but if you know anyone in a Bowlero league, the league discount can save you lots of money.
Update from 10/30/22: Guest services from Bowlero did contact us and issued a partial refund for the time we lost. This is certainly all we could expect considering that they couldn't control the software issues on that day. I updated my rating and will give them another try. Original review: Rather disappointing experience as part of a teenager Bday party. Some software issue kept them from opening our lanes and wasted 30 minutes of the 2 hours we had paid for. The manager gave us a few extra arcade card
This location is very run down. I would love to come here more since it's close to home, but typically take the time to drive to a different location for a more updated facility. When I visited I took my child into the gaming room and ended up spending $20 only to have 5 tickets added to my card from the games, despite my child getting a jackpot on one of the machines. While the manager did fix this, just shows how the facility could use some updating.
$47 fee to bowl on NYE?! THIS PLACE IS THE BIGGEST RIP OFF! I'm going to be spreading the word about how much this place has gone down hill and how greedy they have gotten. Sunset and Bertrands are much better options
The "Pete"... that's all I've got to say about that.
It was dark not crowded. However. To get a drink you had to track down someone. All employees were "ON THEIR PHONE"!! That is rude. Id like the owner of this establishment to be aware of the "habits" their employees they choose to display. I walked out after ONE GAME. Whats bowling without a beer???
Had a fun bowling night with my friends here. Place is a clean, safe and friendly environment. Even though we were the last ones there on Saturday night, the staff were still very nice to us and we greatly appreciated that! Will come back for more fun and friendly competition bowling games!
Every time I come in it's always clean and the workers are always working very hard to make sure everyone is satisfied, though I don't really like that chicken tenders get switched to different ones every so often I prefer the golden crispy ones but that's not their fault , as well every time I go there the lanes always look and run amazing they are a lot better than the Buffalo grove ones!! :)
The management and bar staff are awesome! I especially love Dottie, the bartender with the sparkly glasses. I had a long drive when I was leaving and mentioned that I could use some coffee and she made me a fresh pot immediately. Her personality is as sparkly as her glasses and everyone who worked there was very welcoming. Great customer service!
My daughter had her birthday and she had so much fun, the service is amazing , the staff friendly , the manager was so nice and sh e made sure all what we need available, ashly was helping me with reservation and she is great resource and hard worker , my daughter was so happy, thank you
Love this bowling alley. They have great lanes. I do wonder though if they got rid of their 9lb bowling balls since that's what I use and I haven't been able to find it the last two or three times I've been. Also wish they had some regular lanes and not just cosmic bowling during unlimited. Cosmic bowling just makes it harder for me to bowl if I'm trying to get a high score.
Our group had a great time! The staff was so helpful and everything went well during our visit.
Great lanes, awesome screen to watch the game on and Dave has such a great personality that goes with such a fun place. Thank you for showing your support of my son. Fair winds!
I had my sons bday party there last week. The staff couldn't been any more helpful and welcoming. They went above and beyond. The place is also super clean. I will totally recommend!
In shopping area / nice place to enjoy family an friendship without worries of mean people seamed like they stayed in their mean lanes lol truly enjoyed
I wanted to give a big shout out to the wonderful service my field trip group received at Bowlero. I took 30 children (from Kindercare) on a field trip and it was a huge success because of the staff! They were organized, kind, professional and over-the-top attentive (balls were flying). Thank you so much for all your hard work, we will be adding Bowlero to our calendar every year!
Given price of 7.99 per game when we got there. Then after 3 frames, they put a group of 12 next to us with 6 of them kids under 5 years old. Had them move us as the place had plenty of room. Then when we went to pay, they said it was 9.99 a game. Total scam! Outrageous prices with no option to bowl by time on a Saturday. Employees were typical millenial attitude of not my problem. Bowlero was probably lucky just to have them show up. Thats the world we live in now unfortunately.
Place looked great, but it was hard to find balls that fit my fingers and correct weight. Also one of my shoes had dammage inside the shoe that I did see and felt but decided to go with it, and now after 3 days my foot still hurts where the shoe was damaged.
Good time, but they are severely under-staffed. Same guy was running front counter, snack bat, bar tending, and dealing with lost balls in the back. They did a great job, but need more help!
Customer service is outstanding here. It was the best alley experience I have had. Everyone seemed happy to be working and they constantly asked how everything was going. I would highly recommend it!
Staff is very courteous, knowledgeable, and kind. There is construction going on, that just means there's great things on the way! Great neighborhood, Gem!
Not a lot of bowling experience, or locations, but this one would make my list of returns. Overall clean, well maintained, with a modern vibe you often don't get. A bit more expanded menu, but still revolves around fried bar food.
5 of us played our first game and half but did not realize the 9 pin was not setting. They moved us to the next lane over but would not discount anything for playing on the faulty lane. Cost over $125 for 2 games with shoes. Ball selection was not very good either. I will not return here.
Just had my 5 year olds party there. I felt like it went very smoothly. The lanes were reserved, getting shoes was no problem. The pre ordered food and drinks came out with no issues. The food was great by the way. The manager Nick was very cool and was there to answer any questions. Frank came over multiple times to chat and see if we needed anything, I was very happy with the whole process and my guests said they enjoyed their time with us. 10 kids only bowling with food, food for adults that are chit cha
Fabulous time with my family. We are all visiting from different states, WA, NE, TX & CA for my grandson's graduation from Navy bootcamp. Came out for a night of family fun. We had an awesome time.
I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. I visited this place on a Saturday, 11/27 with my 2 little kids. When we walked in about 50% of the lanes were empty. So, we got our bowling shoes and Dan told us that our lane was #30. We started walking toward #30 and saw that is was very crowded and packed. It looked like way too many people were in one area. I went back and politely asked if we could change lanes, because it just looked very crowded and congested around #30. Dan said that he can't give us any
Poorly managed and customer service is non existent. Went there on a Friday at 9pm and it was dead. Took forever to get a lane with only a small line in front of us. Bathrooms were a disaster. Bartender did not care about her job and was upset she had to be there. Would not go back for any reason.
The personell is greatvand helpful. Lack of air conditioning. Seems like their central AC is not working
Brian and Marc are awesome! They treat us like family everytime we are there. Kudos to the management team over at Vernon Hills!
Great bowling center for pba events.
Manager and trainee were very patient and helpful. Manager was very nice to our birthday party group ranging from 4 to 13. Enjoyed the afternoon.
They did not have servers that came to you to take food & drink orders. Food was good and service was pretty fast.
Very expensive, was hit with sticker shock when I got my receipt. Tables were dirty and took a while to receive our food / beverage orders. Won't be coming back.
It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.
Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.
Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.
Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.
Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.
Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.
Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.
No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
Yes, pool tables in arcades remain a fantastic draw in 2025! Games like 8-ball or 9-ball offer tactile, skill-based fun that blends strategy and precision. Modern tables feature smooth felt, responsive cues, and vibrant designs, enhancing the classic experience. Arcades foster a social vibe with casual matches or competitive tournaments, appealing to all skill levels. Unlike digital games, pool’s physicality—lining up shots, feeling the cue’s weight—keeps it timeless.
