Customer Reviews

This place is ass. 1115 on a Friday night waited 30 minutes for a lane reset halfway through the first game, mgmt said the mechanic went home so he couldn't fix our lane, so she changed our lane. Then, in the second game, it happened again, so we waited another 15-20 minutes for somebody to come back and fix it, but nobody came, so we just went home.

Went in and managed to check in quickly. However we went to order food and it took it almost a whole 10 round game of 6 people before it came out. Also they only have like 2 workers out as it took forever for one to free up to come lift the bumpers for us. The bowling was good though at least.

As a league bowler, coming after hours with family should be a good experience. That is far from what we had. Rude front desk gentleman from the begining to when we had extra family members join us. I enjoy league, but if service is like this outside of league, it is a disservice to the public. This is not the first time this has happened at a bowlero establishment. You need to get your staff educated on customer service.

Matt and Chris at the snack bar made some delicious pizza. It was fast and tasty. 2 thumbs up! The manager at the counter Ryan was friendly and quick to help us with a brief lane issue. This place is awesome!

The best bowling prices around. This is a fun place to bowl in the evenings for an affordable price. The lanes are nice and clean. The staff are friendly and helpful. The downsides are the bowling alley is a little outdated and they open at 3pm on weekdays. other than that i recommend checking this place out. ***If anyone likes my honest reviews then please like my post and follow my google account*** -Thanks

We had our sons 13th birthday party at this location and it was absolutely fantastic! Betsy (I believe that was her name) took such good care of us. The food was fantastic, the setup was amazing, we never had to search for someone to help us with anything, and she gave us an additional lane at a great cost even though it was Saturday night. I would 1000% recommend coming here for a party or group get together.

Staff was friendly and good customer service. Tables were clean and food and drinks were fast. Lots of fun.

Extremely dirty equipment. Feel like you need a bath for you and your bowling balls after league. Setup with chairs and tables makes moving around awkward. Driest lane conditions you'l ever find. If you can bowl well here, you're a bowler.

Have had my birthdays at this location for the past 2-3 years and I'll be going back again for this year ?? The staff was as awesome as the funnel cake fries with chocolate dip; great! Thanks for a fun New Years!

Claims to be fully ada accessible but there is a 3 in curb all the way around had to get on the sidewalk by means of the bar.

The staff is very nice and respond fairly quickly when you need assistance. I always get a lane right away. The food is actually very good and priced reasonably. Of course the bowling is fun!

The GM and his staff were polite, helpful, knowledgeable, and professional. The food was delicious too!

My dad and I go here regularly and its always a great experience. Jason is always so friendly and helpful and makes sure we are enjoying ourselves.

Jason and David are amazing! We love to bowl here in the afternoons, and these guys, as well as the other patrons always make it an awesome experience.

Anywhere that has Thursday night football is great. The burger and fries were good, too.

Bowled there in a tournament today. I've never seen a bowling alley situated in this manner. Approach table and chairs without fixed seating before the approach is NG. These lanes are not conducive to tournament or even league bowling. Taking the family out on the weekend it may work for you.

Not enough employees. The ones they had seemed to not be happy to be there. We drank and ate and had 3 lanes for about 15 ppl. Our tables overflowed with glasses and plates. No one cleared anything. The bartender was overwhelmed and still seems to be learning. She probably could use some help on busy sat nights.

Always a blast! The pizza was pretty good. The staff was NICE! It's clean and the shoes looked brand new

Very homey feel. Wasn't packed on a Saturday afternoon when I went. Relatively clean, not a high tech neon place like it here alleys. This place is just cozy. I gave it 5-stars cause I can't find anything I'd change about it. Yah, there's probably better alleys, but this one is just cozy. Edit: can probably take one star off cause the staff is obviously entirely teenagers.

My wife and I like to bowl a cat Bo rounds of bowling. It's a good way to spend time with your family and to wind down. The place is a nice clean place and serves drinks and a few food items. I'd recommend it to my friends to boil a couple rounds at AMF it's a great bowling alley. Easy location right off 35th Avenue and Union Hills or the back of the Plaza.

Love the upgrades over the years, and the food is actually decent. Lanes are regularly oiled for league play, but gives a good range over the week of high/low oil. The summer pass is an amazing value, and my son and I take advantage of it 2-3 times a week. I do wish they would keep the normal house light on. I understand that are trying to appeal to a younger crowd, but it really takes away from the game itself. My father, and self included to be honest, sometimes have a hard time focusing on the lane marki

Had a wonderful experience here! Cole was fantastic and every one of the staff was super helpful and kind. We had chicken strips, and they were delicious and made fresh for our party. Really a fun time!

Fun atmosphere. The staff is wonderful and always friendly.

I think bolero has made some serious mistakes in personnel and always underpaying them. I've been coming here for over 3 years and what I found is that they seem to get rid of the best people they have and replace them with new ones and that leads to a lot of confusion and frustration. And their price increase was not appreciated at all and I'm sure it's cost them business and volume.

All the associates were friendly and very helpful. We had a great time

Super awesome family night! Phenomenal staff! The kids loved the food! We played 2 hours and had the time of our lives!

If I could give 0 stars, I would.... WOW, the staff communication i think isn't there, here's what we saw, we entered and saw more than half the lanes taken over for a league, I was a little shocked by that, it's Saturday and didn't see that advertised anywhere, so that limited people coming in and playing ON A SATURDAY... and then I asked a staff how we would go about getting lanes for me and my family and friends as we were celebrating my birthday, they suggested the wait list, sure, I joined the

Get the groupon. Food is good. I love the seating because there lots of room to move around. Bathrooms are very clean.

We are regulars but are shockedthat the weekend hours have changed. We have strict hours of availability on the weekends and the extra hours wait to bowl is hurting us. We got to the center early and saw 15 people you lost today who wanted to bowl at 11 and can anywhere else and opted to leave. Includingother regulars. We want to be faithful to our home center but please move opening time back to 11am again and I will re-rate with 5 stars. Thank you

Nice place to bowl. The lanes are oiled nicely these days, and employees are always accommodating.

We all had a great time for Isaac's birthday! Happy birthday buddy! AMF is a very clean bowling alley. They also have nice clean shoes and a great assortment of organized balls plus slick lanes. The food was good and priced fairly and the staff was great! Thank you! The only draw back is if you have a groupon you can't reserve a lane. If it wasn't for that I would definitely give them 5 stars.

During these times I am glad this place is open. They had the best sanitation practices as well as social distancing. Love bowling. Got to take my 4 year old for the first time. Helpful employees when our ball got stuck and helped put the bumpers up. Will come back for more fun. Used the Groupon which was 2 hours for 4 people!!!

Bowling was fun the bartender was really nice and knew how to mix drinks. On the downside the ladies bathroom was a mess. The toilets wouldn't flush properly and the hand soap dispenser almost fell off the wall.

Just got done pricing for Passes. Reasonable

Had alot of fun with friends. Everything is new here. Changes were good. Lane availability is good. Video gaming available but expensive in my opinion. All nice and clean. Shoes are new and clean, odor free.

Was amazed when the manager with pink hair, Jay, walked over and told my elder mother, "I need the food out of the building. it's posted on the outside of the building for a reason." Her attitude was absolutely astonishing to find out she's actually appointed as a manager. I work in the industry and the last thing you do is take that demeanor when approaching a customer. I had a babysitter who just gave me my children left over food, the bag had been sitting on the table for 5 minutes without even being tou

Our group Is a Senior citizen group that enjoy bowling. We have bowled at this alley for over 5 years. Today we showed up to bowl and the gal working was extremely rude. Told our group she would not allow us more than 2 lanes and that we would pay full price , no military discount. There was 14 of us and more were coming. There was 5 lanes available. She said it was too bad, she had leagues coming and would not accommodate or help us. We come at 2:45 p.m. every Sunday so we can be done before 5. We only p

If I could do Zero Stars I would.. They don't put ANY money into the back of the house to fix the machines? management doesn't care and the bartender (Tatum) just wants to ignore customers? Hell of a place if you want to have a pissed of night with no employee or manager to take care of the experience.

I hosted a party with 10 people last night, and was amazed at the service we got. Not only was the whole process hassle free, but Tyler was incredibly kind and made sure that we felt welcome and made every accommodation possible for us, which is the main reason I wanted to write this review. Any question I had he made sure to answer with a level of customer service that makes you feel welcome like you're family. We had zero delays and any time we had an issue it was fixed. I really enjoy the staff at this l

I loved bowling but the workers were rude! I came here on a field trip today and I wish it was better! They didn't even have enough food for everyone that's so unthoughtful! I waiting an hour and paid for what!? Long wait and bad food I hated it. 10/10 would not recommend friends. I also will never come here again even if ita a field trip.

I've never paid so much for bowling, and the employees weren't welcoming to us at all, felt like a nuisance to them. However nice lanes and the shoes were alright. Not coming back though

This place may be older, and may need some upgrades, but for a Saturday this place was very busy. Birthday parties for young and old alike. They even have borders for the younger ones to be able to make a strike. They chart your scores for all to see which is great. I wished they would open earlier on Saturday and Sunday. But it's 12 noon. Everyone is waiting for them to open up, being expected to get the game on. Drinks and food is a little pricey, but the French fries are the best. Thank you for catering

Misty, our server or whatever you want to call it was straight awful. Took her 30 minutes to get our drinks... we just went to the bar and got it from the bartender, who was simply amazing! Misty never showed back up at all. We assume she was high, at least that's how she appeared to us with her slurred speech. No offense... we will just go to the bar ourselves from now on

Two stars bc we still had fun, but WOW has this place gone downhill in the last few months. Horribly understaffed with the poor employees scrambling to get stuff done, everyone seems absolutely miserable which speaks volumes about management, prices have gone up, and they went from having the best french fries in the city to like super mediocre fries. We've been coming here off and on for a few years but there are other alleys and we'll be trying one of those next time. The vibe is just real off now.

Decent food. Lane conditions were ok for open bowling.

Best place in north phoenix area to spend weekend with friends...the long Island tea we took was perfectly made

So much fun!! Enjoyed spending time with my girl. Very exciting!!!

Bryce was AWESOME! Came in on Easter night- needed copy of a receipt and he went above and beyond getting it for us.. Also GREAT customer service skills! Thank you Bryce!

I bowl here on league on Friday nights and the management of this house is terrible. I ordered from the snack bar and the clerk asked what lane I was bowling on, I told him what lane and he gave me the price. I gave him a a 10 dollar bill and said I could give him the coin. He said he already put 10 dollars on the register. He ran out of singles for change and requested singles for his register. Manager came over and could not get singles for him so he gave me over 2 dollars in change. What a joke this pla

Balls of fun and lanes of laughs. ?? Great place to spend time with the family and hunt for turkey's ??while cutting the rug.

Went with my daughter Sunday night for Sunday funday and had a very enjoyable experience. $3.65 a game per person + shoe rentals. 3 games came out to just under $36. Food is a little pricey but when you buy a soda it's free refills ( my daughter loved the salted pretzel too )so that was awesome. The manager seemed stressed but he was very nice and good at his job. Only reason I'm giving 4 stars is for cleanliness but they were very busy. I'd recommend it to anyone looking to bowl and have a fun time.

I celebrated my birthday at AMF Union Hills Lanes with some family members and had a great time! Brittany provided the best customer service and made sure everyone in my party was well taken care of. I highly recommend AMF for great family experience!

Good bowling alley. The manager Aaron is very helpful!

I went in to cool off at that visit. It was friendly, comfortable, and peaceful and good for little ones too. God bless you

Wow! I haven't been in here in years, and they renovated this place! Looks 10 times better! I'm going to take the fam and have some fun!

Listen!!! Jake, Alex and Mac went above and beyond today! My daughter had her party here and we had a decent size group. This location is definitely understaffed and even through that, a busy day and a birthday party, they accommodated me and my guests perfectly. I specifically want to thank Jake for his managerial skills and actually doing the work with his employees. I wish I could have tipped him. Hospitable, clean and friendly, we will be back for sure. Thank you all again.

Lanes need maintenance. Lanes 1 & 2 were broke down, gates were slow to come back up, if they came up, balls came back really dirty.

The worker Gavin is the most helpful and informative worker at the alley. He was super helpful checking us in and even offered places to go to after. If you are looking for great customer service please ask for Gavin!

The lady working the counter who is always there at closing time was so nice and I came in with like barely 30 minutes left until they closed and instead of charging me the regular fee per game she told me she would comp it for me since I only got a little bowling in and would have felt bad charging me $15+ for unlimited bowling that night. Super understanding and thoughtful of her and I always see her working hard.

About 8 years ago 6 of us from the Desert Shadows RV resort (55 yrs old and up), starting bowling at Union Hills and 35th (Bowlero). It became a weekly event for us with some nights up to 30 bowlers but averaging 14-20. We were given military and first responders discount, we would call ahead with number of bowlers and the lanes were reserved when we got there. Several of us purchased balls and shoes there over the years, plus food and drinks. Couldn't have asked for more pleasant place to go. Our treatme

Seriously fun. My son and I loved it here. A bit pricey, but everything is nowadays.

Good fun! Prices have gone up. $6 per person per game and $6 for shoes. Worth the family fun!

Great place for a birthday party! Davi went above and beyond to make it great for all the kids and parents. You don't often see customer service like she provides anymore!

This location has excellent staff, very friendly! Everything is kept tidy and clean and well maintained. Convenient parking, and easy access to the main road. Large, well kept restrooms conveniently located. Decent prices, even on concessions which are also pretty decent (yum) Highly recommended for single bowlers and can accommodate larger groups with little notice - we've brought a larger group (10-15) young people in with no appointment several times and had no issues.

I forgot how I liked to bowl. These places are great. Little arcade, some snacks and good lanes. Will be going more often.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. I seriously can't understate how awesome they were! So I'm giving 5 stars despite a couple drawbacks. Bumpers for the kids are manual, so they can't be put down for adults - it helped my score but not really fair. The cost was astronomical - I haven't been bowling for a while and it was my first time at this location. It wasn't even premium hours, and it cost about $75 for two games and shoe rental for four people.

I am the President of the NORTHERN ARIZONA BOWLERETTS. All the ladies enjoyed themselves. STEVE is the best! He helped me out to reschedule my tournament. I will schedule with him again for next season. Hope by then the ladies restroom will be completed. Big thanks to STEVE.

Super accommodating management. We went on a day that was league night and had paid for 2 hrs of play, but we were on a lane that was going to be used for the competition. We were quickly moved to a different lane so we could use up our 2 hours we had paid for. Very clean facility and knowledgable staff. This was our 2nd time there and we had an equally nice experience. Highly recommend!

Decent time if you like bowling. We'll stocked bar.

I stopped in this past Friday to watch the Dodgers game and have a cold beer and I'm so glad I did. My experience there with both the two bartenders, Nicole and Jonathon was amazing! Seeing them work together and taking care of customers how they did Was impressive. Nicole is such a sweet lady with a constant smile and the laughs I got in watching Jonathon make his bar chicken out of a bar rag was pretty cool. My experience with the front desk kid wasn't all that great but Im still giving 5 stars solely

I bowl league at another Bowleros center, and they didn't add me correctly for league discounts... The manager step up to the plate as I went to practice! Center looks great after remodel

We literally just left from having our sons 8th birthday party here. The kids had a blast!!! Thank you so much. You guys really take care of people! Mack was very nice along with the snack bar crew and other team members. Thanks again!

How can you not like this place? The staff is really cool and most of them like their job. The snack bar is clean and the food is GOOD. Weird, right?! Oh heck, the entire place is clean. We're gonna go back very soon.

A five star and beyond activity venue. Bryce and Cole gave outstanding friendly helpful professional customer service! Had a great time bowling! Thanks a bunch!

It gets really busy, sometimes 45 minutes wait for a lane. My last visit was unfortunate.. we were told 15 minutes wait. We had a drink at the bar and when we checked in it was about another 30 because they were giving away the available Lanes to folks showing up after us. We were pretty sure we let them know, but it was so busy maybe they forgot about us in the bar.

We had the most FANTASTIC BIRTHDAY PARTY!!! EVERYONE SHOULD have a great experience here!!!?? all ages youngest 6 to oldest 68!! And all inbetween!!! GM was very accomidating!! Reservations were perfect everyone of the staff took such great care of our birthday party a GIANT THANK YOU?? we will come back many times!! And refer our friends for a real true fun place!! Blessings our entire Family

The bartenders Johnny and Nicole are phenomenal!!! Very fast, and very friendly. Now the staff at the snack bar is another story!!! Very slow, and not friendly at all!!! Two weeks in a row waiting over an hour for my food.

Employees don't care, corporate doesn't know how to run an alley. Go to another alley if you want a better interaction with staff. They serve raw food and when confronted with it the employees didn't care enough to get a manager. When the manager came out to finally talk and replace the food that food was raw. Service takes forever. They don't care about leagues at all.

reasonable prices, friendly staff, good atmosphere. i normally go for the unlimited bowling but since they were open today i figured to go in and bowl a few games. Never disappointed by visiting this store.

The party was fun, all of the best parts had nothing to do with the actual location, but the mom that scheduled the party. The pizza was not great. They didn't have fruit as other locations do. However, Joe, was amazing. I'd give him 10 stars if I could. Just for bowling, it is a bowling alley. The video games are limited.

Even being a little older facility, everything is clean, comfortable and the staff is VERY friendly welcoming and accommodating. My family (myself, fiance and our kids; ages 7 &13) and our daughters'best friend (age 14) had a blast and it was fairly reasonably priced.

My sister wanted to come here for her birthday and we did the same thing last year. I'm beginning to think it will be a tradition for us

Jonathan is AMAZING. He's seriously a super star. I come every Thursday night and he always has the best attitude and makes everyone he interacts with smile! He also, always gets me my drinks/ food, anything super fast! Everyone here is super nice and accommodating. 5 stars for Jonathan and 5 stars for bowling and the atmosphere!

Was great! Rich the mechanic is always nice and always keeps the place running smooth

Fun place to go hang out with family or friends or even co workers.

Good place for fun with friends and Family

This place is great if you want to learn about bowling. Staff is very knowledgeable. But some of the bowlers there almost seem professional. They are willing to give tips and advice. Plus, the food is pretty good.

Really solid lanes. Quality of lanes are really good. Also, the pin setters are new. Ball return could use updating. Did not have any problems with balls getting stuck. I come here to bowl, but it seems all bowling alleys take awhile to check you out.

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s it like visiting an arcade today?

It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.

Is it better to go alone or with friends?

Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.

What should I bring to an arcade?

Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.

What’s the best time to visit an arcade?

Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.

Can I meet new people at arcades?

Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.

Are arcades still just for kids?

Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.

Are there events or tournaments I can join?

Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.

What if I’m not great at arcade games?

No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”

Are pool tables in arcades still good in this modern age?

Yes, pool tables in arcades remain a fantastic draw in 2025! Games like 8-ball or 9-ball offer tactile, skill-based fun that blends strategy and precision. Modern tables feature smooth felt, responsive cues, and vibrant designs, enhancing the classic experience. Arcades foster a social vibe with casual matches or competitive tournaments, appealing to all skill levels. Unlike digital games, pool’s physicality—lining up shots, feeling the cue’s weight—keeps it timeless.

Why are arcade prize games so exciting to play?

Arcade prize games are a thrilling highlight in 2025! Claw machines, skee-ball, and ticket-redemption games like basketball offer a rush of skill and chance, with rewards like plushies, toys, or electronics up for grabs. Modern machines feature vibrant lights, digital scoreboards, and responsive controls, amplifying the fun. The lively arcade atmosphere, with cheering crowds and buzzing energy, makes every win feel epic.
