Customer Reviews

The place is good for family & friends, The price is fair for unlimited bowling after 10 pm. The staff are great. The Only thing is the drinks are not worth it. They taste great but I had two drinks plus a shot of vodka and I had no buzz, the drinks do have flavor. I paid for 8 drinks for only 3 people for 120.00 without tip. I will never buy drinks but I will go for the bowling.

We went here for a family bowling night and we had a great time. The music is good and the place is clean. They are a little over priced in my opinion, just for bowling and the pizza was not very good. I don't really see myself going back unless we decide to have another family night there.

Newly renovated and great for large groups, couples, and families! Huge game area, wheelchair friendly, even a room for nursing moms. Food was awesome, great service!

Here's my honest rating: ????? (3/5) I visited this bowling alley at Southgate and University Drive on December 17 after 3:30 PM, as I promised my 5-year-old that we would go bowling after school. She ended up playing two games ($7.49 each) and I rented shoes for $5.99. I also purchased a $50 gift card for the arcade so she could play there while Hanging out with my daughter. The next day, December 18, after school, I returned with her just for the arcade. I inquired about hosting a gathering for 15 peop

Classic vibes. Nothing fancy, just good fun. We came for a friend?s birthday and had a great time. The nachos are actually pretty decent too lol.

Manager on duty was ridiculous. Went there yesterday around 5. Wouldn't sell us a drink because 4 people weren't in our group ( we had 3 and there were no fine print stating that we needed 4 to purchase). Server pulled me away from my game for 5 min to wait on the manager to give me a refund. He came up on his cellphone...didnt even introduce himself. Refunded the money and wouldn't even comp a fountain drink for the inconvenience

My wife, kids, and grandchildren love to bowl here. We had the Cheese Quesadilla with Steak and fries, oh my they were delicious! We were served by Destiny and she gave us Great service!

Nice, clean, fun. Lots of video games as well as bowling. We were able to put the bumpers up for my kid, that's the only way I got any pins down. One thing was I wish they had a healthier food option on the menu.

Grand Rising!? I would like to thank you all for an amazing experience.? My son absolutely loved his surprise 18th? birthday party there yesterday, Saturday, July 1st. 2023. Our first time there. The place is clean, fun and wonderful staff with amazing customer service. The remodeling and decor were beautiful.? A lot to choose from to do, bowling,? games, pool, food, and drinks? was delicious.? The presentation was excellent. My son has autism and him and his friends had a wonderful time. I can't thank you

Lots of bowling lines on both sides, plus 3 pool tables and more games like a Dave & Busters. The lemon pepper wings were pretty good, didn't order the pizza because of the old reviews but saw one there that didn't look like the review pics so maybe it has improved. Drinks were good too.

This was my first time at this location since Bowlero took over (a while, I know) but it was such a fun environment and the staff goes above and beyond. We took advantage of their after 8 pm weekday special to hang out and do an early secret Santa. We were a party of 7, 6 adults and 1 child and the staff went out of their way to ensure the child in our party had just as much fun! Food staff was great too and very prompt.

I liked the place a lot, they have a nice amount of lanes and also tables to eat if you have to wait for a lane to be available. The pizza was great, toasty, and cheesy. Big enough for 2 or 3 people. I think that I liked a lot was the free soda refills in some other bowling places they charge for another soda if you ask for a refill. ?? French fries and mozzarella sticks not so good though, they were dry and hard. Staff was very friendly and polite, though they were very busy at times they still had a grea

Decent price for bowling, nice lanes and arcade. My issue is, why have servers if customers have to go looking for them? Food is not good and overpriced. Better training is a MUST

Every time I go there, it is a great experience with my son. The staff is amazing, clean facility, and great food. Highly recommended for a fun family day.

I can't say enough great things about Bowlero Tamarac! I came in for what was supposed to be a casual night, but it turned into an unplanned birthday celebration?and they made it absolutely unforgettable. From start to finish, the experience was top-notch. A huge shoutout and heartfelt thank you to Octavious, who went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. He was attentive, friendly, and genuinely cared about making sure we enjoyed ourselves. You don't always get service like that anymore,

Our sales attendant and bar attendant were great! However, we we there with my 9th month old baby so we had her baby yogurt on the table and the security guard walked up to my husband while I was at the arcade games and asked him to dispose of it because outside food is not allowed. This is ridiculous. Did he expect me to feed her pizza? A couple next to us even explained to him that is was for our baby and he ended up taking it and disposing of it. Very unprofessional

Fun place to be with friends and coworkers! Friendly staff, roomy, clean. Highly recommend!

Everything Overpriced, even the food and it didn't even taste good. WORD OF ADVICE: Ask how much your total will be for the games for everyone playing before leaving your card. How they get you is they tell you to leave your card and they will close it out after you play. I'm sure if they told you the total before playing and asked you to pay right then and there, people would leave. My 7 year old son and my husband bowled 2 quick games and with $6 shoe rental each it came out to $60. Food for the three of

Very nice place to bowl, has nice specials for certain days, and then it also geh a fine girl there, make sure yall make her day and compliment her.

Was invited for a birthday party and everything was organized and done properly. There was plenty of lanes available for the kids, bumpers and bowling balls. Kids were given gaming cards preloaded and everyone had fun.

This was my first time and I was really surprised how big and we'll maintained it was. The building looks a bit old from outside, but as soon you enter inside, your perception will change. They have around 50 bowling alleys, pool tables and arcade section. I went as part of a team outing and they catered food which was delicious. They have a bar as well. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Equipments were well maintained. Overall enjoyed my time.

Waaaaaaaaaaay overpriced. For 40 bucks we got the smallest quesadilla with fries and 2 beers. There's was 1 taco worth of meat and cheese in the flattest 25 dollar quesadilla I have ever seen. I could have stacked all 4 sections of the quesadilla and eaten it in 1 bite that's how pathetically small it was. Let's not forget the 5.99 extra for fries that was about $0.30 worth of Walmart shoestring fries. Add that on top of 2 games of bowling for 3 people and 30 bucks in games and I spent about $220 for 1.5 ho

2 ppl 2 games 2 shoes $62. I wanted the Dunk Tank drink & was told ( it's on the menu in fine print) that I need FOUR IDENTIFICATIONS. I've never in my 45 years of live & 27 years of drinking lol, heard such a thing. And can't find anyone else who has. The bartender says it contains a lot of alcohol & it's shared amongst 4 ppl & costs $40. All of that was fine...we were out. Why would I share MY drink with anyone? Let alone 4 ppl? ?? I didn't come with 4 adults, but I was planning to share it withy fiance.

If you have a good time with family and friends, this is the place to go. The food was good and the staff, #1.

Loved the Bowlero, amazing experience Great place to go with friends and family. Or just to enjoy

Very nice place. You can do a lot of stuff like bowling, arcade, pool. Plus, they had a bar and a food area. My family had a good time, and it was definitely great for kids or the child at hearts.

Lots of entertainment for all ages, bowling, pooling, arcade and the pizza is not bad. Reasonable prices (alcohol beverages not considered). Good place to have some fun with family and friends. Definitely a place to party or make some memories and laughs a lot!

The place was clean, neat and organized. The staff was friendly and attentive. The only draw back was that the food prices are exorbitant. Paid $10 for (1) 20oz Aquafina water and (1) 16 oz Lemonade that was just okay. They did allow a cake to celebrate my birthday.

I when with my family of 6, and husband ask the manager closed tap because place was full and service slow and quality horrible, but he responded that if he closed tap game will end before time, ok we agree on finished game first but they still closed 5th so half of game and that was our 3rd round, so we ask and they was nasty attitude and nothing they can do because they didn't know who closed the game and we still have to paid all 3 games $148.60 bad experience. 0 star.

Right on Jacob! Thanks for taking care of this American Top Team Jarhead. Mad respect to the whole Team. Thank you. Salud!

I have been bowling here since it was sawgrass in the early 2000s, now Valero took it over it's a lot more corporate but I still bowl here we now ball in a Wednesday 55 and overly and one of the bowlers who's bald here for 20 years her shoe broke she went to the front desk and was told it beat would be $6.50 for shoes any league I bold in since I'm 18 free shoes were always given for League bowlers I went up to complain cuz I am the captain and basically told that's what we do here well that's not the way t

I've visit this location for many years. I came in hoping to celebrate my daughter?s birthday. I understand, I couldn't get a birthday package w/o reservation therefore I gotta pay about double buying it separately. What really made me write this review was specifically the manager KEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He treated like I don't matter, his comments were intended to state I'm less than him. All I wanted was 1 kids size bowling ball.. $248 dollars later and I NEVER got the kids size ball

Time and time again we always wind up having a birthday party at Sawgrass Lanes for one of our special needs young adults. It's always an effortless day. There's plenty of food and drink for the kids to munch on. The lanes have bumpers that are a snap to turn on for an individual player. The game room is loaded with great games, and air hockey and pool. We also go there for Special Olympics bowling. Sawgrass is a great place for fun, and the staff is very friendly and accommodating.

Great place for family fun. We were here for Christmas,it wasnt too busy so that was great, however the service was slow quite a few of our food menu items were brought out incorrectly meaning some people had to wait to eat while the rest of us were already eating otherwise I would have given them five stars

Corey was super patient with Us last night Super Nice Staff we came in Very late and they still did there best to Accomodate us and It was not to Overcrowded definitly a Great Atmosphere I would definitley recommend This Place If You want to gout out with the Family!

We had a really great time during our visit to Sawgrass Lanes! Everything was clean with plenty of space and equipment for different needs and preferences. The pro shop has everything you need/want and the staff offered helpful information. Will be returning!

Really nice bowling alley and love the overall vibe too. If you are a league player it's a great deal and activity all around. They have low weight balls and the assists for children so we can even take the kids and everyone has a great time.

It's was really superb??????, I recommend it to you ??????

It looks like they have remodeled since the last time we were here. New staff, new arcade games, pool tables, and bowling! The drinks were good and the service was fast and friendly. Everything was kept clean even though it was pretty busy on a Thursday night.

The bowling alley is horrible, and the approach is sticky and the employees are non-responsive, slow, and they mess up the orders on a slow day. Go to SpareZ instead because the lanes and the approach are way better and they have more places to sit.

Always a great time! Had to let the kids play in the arcade because the bowling lanes where doing a tournament.... Recommend calling before hand . They had so much fun... The arcade had so many more games than in the past and they were all the latest and greatest. They have brought a big arcade feel to our local spot. They have a full bar and and sporting events playing, So everyone found something to do making the night a great one! Top it off with some boneless wings /fries....we'll be back soon!

Experience felt very safe, from the dividers at the desk to the spaced-out lane assignments to the mask requirements (worn at all times unless actively eating or drinking) to their system for the bowling balls at the lanes. We enjoyed our game time and highly recommend the pretzel dippers with queso. My husband stated that he would come back just for the arcade because they had such a big area with options to appeal to all ages.

We had a great night bowling and we also ate dinner here as well. We had the sampler with chicken tenders, Chicken wings, French fries and pretzels. The Drinks were great and the waitress was very kind and knowledgeable of the menu. The atmosphere was very nice with cold air conditioning, dim fancy lighting, great music and all we can bowl deals. Great time definitely recommend 5 stars ????? very clean bathrooms and we definitely will be returning.

We had a work event here at Bowlero in Tamarac. Bowlero took over for what was formally Sawgrass Lanes. They are renovating at the moment but the lanes and everything on the inside was good to go. The folks had a blast and the food was delicious. The drinks were well made and I would be more than happy to come back when they have finished upgrading everything.

FL/fort lau location. Group enjoyed the atmosphere, ease of lane operations, and staff over all.

Great place to Bowl! Some balls need to be taken out of commission due to cracks but other than that a nice place to spend time with family!

Very clean. Great deals and had lots of fun

One of the best best real bowling centers I've been to.

Always a blast when I come! I will say looks are deceiving because on the outside, it looks decrepit but the inside is packed with affordable fun. The music is good, drinks are strong, food tastes great and the vibe is overall fun! Can't miss out on the all you can bowl Wednesdays for $15

Bowling is fun, but for any casual bowling, Bowlers is too expensive. And their deals aren't even deals half the time. You'll spend 50+ for two people for two hours... crazy

Food and service were great. We had a blast and Ashley was the best. Nicole was awesome also. Highly recommend for a good time.

I spent easily over 100 bucks here. I've been to several different bowling alleys in different states. The arcade is newer and fairly impressive for a bowling alley, which is great for the kids. I also liked the number of pool tables and lanes available for the facility. Our server was also very friendly and pleasant. What I did not like is that I paid what I paid to bowl in the dark. I found out afterward that unless I'm in a league, they actually never turn the lights on. If you're going to have cosmic

Awesome place to have some fun and play bowling, pool or video games! By the way the pizza ?? is very good as well

Absolutely Terrible Experience - Manager Lacks Basic Customer Service I had an extremely disappointing experience at Bowlero. We were stopped *immediately* by the manager, who rudely informed me that I couldn't bring in a simple cup of water, citing the "no outside food or drink" policy. I was shocked, thinking it was a joke?it's just water, not alcohol or soda! I brushed it off at first and proceeded to rent a lane for my children, wife, and myself, but to my disbelief, the manager ran over again and *ins

We loved the arcade and the food. The bar served great drinks. Only complaint is it's pricey for one game.

We received part of our order. We went to get the soda. No one was helpful especially the guy who knew he brought half the order. He took the garbage out before delivering a soda with pretzels to a child. Then I was threatened by a worker, not even a manager, this is not good work ethics, nor doing a good job with food concession. And I have to eat bowling food. No other food or drink allowed. The boy needed his drink, so his mom got it for him. No one was there to help her. They walked away from her. Next

At the last minute the Arcade didn't work for my Son?s birthday party. The service recovery was more bowling time for a bunch of 7 -10 year olds , who live in a technologically dominated age! They kept food coming for the kids! a plus! My one issue was they detour parents from coming unless you pay for bowling. We were forced to make it a drop-off event as relates to astronomical prices. When we arrived? There was a TON of space and parents could have safely monitored their children? not a good move on the

My friend celebrated her son's birthday there. The kids had a blast plus they have a pretty cool arcade. My only issue is that they don't have pitchers of water and you cannot buy pitchers of juice. You have to buy individual drinks for $5 which can be expensive if you're holding a party for kids.

I had a great time here. The environment was friendly. Staff was friendly and helpful. It was very clean. I didn't have anything to eat. but my experience is great and I will be going back with my loved ones to have more fun.

It's a nice fun, family oriented place for bowling and gameroom activities

Awesome alley! Great food, drinks oh the lanes are smooth too! ?? great for a kid or adult birthday party !!

Had a great bowling experience last night at the btu holiday party. We bowled, laughed and ate food. Great time. Service was great. Happy holidays.

Wings were excellent, pizza eeeh not so much. Customer Service was above board... We gave them a little work out and they met the challenge!!

Zero stars across the board . Tell your security guard to do better .

Coworkers and I decided to go here!! We had a blast!! They say the pretzel was good and their drinks! This is my 3rd time at this location and I always find it a rather chilled spot!

Great layout, great staff, but pricey (2 people, 2 games, no good was $60)

Kids loves going bowling, always a great time! They love the arcades more than bowling. Staff was on on a weekday but better on the weekends.

Went there tonight and asked to be in the corner away from all the family parties. I saw multiple lanes open away from people and the manager with the glasses and red tag said he couldn't do that. Put me in the middle of two birthday parties. I was by myself just wanting to bowl a couple games real quick. I bowled one game and left and won't be back. I've bowled probably 30 games at this location and have bought bowling balls from the pro shop. Strikers will be getting all my Buisness moving forward. Also i

More expensive to bowl and this! Small cup of Sierra Mist with no lid or straw during Covid $4 each. Aquafina water bottles $3.50. What made it worst, on top of the price gouging and tax, a gratuity was charged for 4 drinks that my daughter walked to the food area to get herself! Staff and managers are great. Excellent customer service. I don't fault them since they don't decide the prices, but this is ridiculous. Won't be back.

Good was amazing and pretty cheap, pool and bowling is so fun. And clean

Cool place for bowling arcade Billar wings beer pizza good special Friday night bowling light , big parking lot

Took my daughter here for a birthday party. The experience was amazing. All the kids were having so much fun. Definitely returning and highly recommended.

Hi, had a great time bowling but the bar was atrocious and very unfriendly. I'd rate 0 but oil have to give at least one star. They also don't hear customers asking for assistance. Bowl here, don't drink.

Nothing special, didn't understand why they had to crowd and pack people on top of each other when there were plenty of lanes open. Our party of 4 was squished in at our table next to two large parties of 6+ people on our right and left. We had also ordered some chicken fingers that took over 2 full bowling games to arrived and the waitress wasn't helpful when we inquired about it several times and didn't seem to care or feel bad about the situation at all. The party next to us had left a new group came aft

Seems like an okay place to hang out. I didn't bowl, I came use to the pool table which is $12 an hour. Overall I had pretty good time.

Went here for the Special Olympics event to watch my sister bowl in the event. It was very nice and the pizza is good.

The General Manager Ken is probably the nicest person I have met. They were super busy this Sunday and he was making sure everyone got a lane and had a great time. Then the rest of the staff came around and was on top of their game. Truly one of the best crews/teams I have seen and I have seen and worked with many customer service oriented businesses. Great job!!!

We came here after having lunch just to remain active lol and we had a nice time playing. The place was crowded. Lots of children, birthday parties. But overall, it was a nice time. The music selection was great. Make sure that you wear socks. The shoes looked clean and sanitized.

It's super nice. Clean place with plenty of lanes and video games. The staff are as friendly as you could ever ask for!

The drinks are good, music is good but it's played on low..

Lots of activities - outside of Bowling for the whole family. Fun place. Choose your timing for best prices.

I come here quite often with my friends and use the unlimited bowling deal that starts at 10. Super fun vibe and they have great food and drinks. Slightly pricey but worth it in my opinion.

Amazing layout with bowling to either side of a central desk bar and arcade area. Was there for a birthday party, staff was all super friendly and the entire place was clean. Awesome to see bowling done correctly in a new modern era. Even had an issue with arcade card credits and front desk cleared it up easily.

I go every week and it's always a fun place to be at. Service is quick to take care of you.

The manager at this location is nice nasty. I'm waiting to hear from corporate to see what they're going to do about him. If nothing is done. They will be losing business. Because everyone that I know in the area. I will definitely have them go to strikers, not acceptable. Same manager, with the glasses , Did the same thing 2 years ago figure? He might have been having a bad day everybody does But to come back again Same attitude nice nasty attitude. Unacceptable. We have choices where we can spend our mo

I am writing to express my gratitude and appreciation for the exemplary service provided by your employee, Kenisha Philippe . I arrived with my family to play, and we did not have a reservation. However, Kenish greeted us with great attention and courtesy, and she managed to secure a reservation for us, allowing us to enjoy a very pleasant evening. This employee deserves recognition and should be rewarded, not only financially but in all aspects. Thank you for representing the company so well. Sincerely,

What Bowling Alley doesn't have MUSIC!! Boring much. However our family had fun, and great space.

Outrageous prices! How are you going to charge $140 for 4 people to bowl? What happened to being able to have a fun night out with the family without breaking the bank? Will not be going back. There are other places that don't overcharge.

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s it like visiting an arcade today?

It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.

Is it better to go alone or with friends?

Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.

What should I bring to an arcade?

Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.

What’s the best time to visit an arcade?

Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.

Can I meet new people at arcades?

Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.

Are arcades still just for kids?

Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.

Are there events or tournaments I can join?

Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.

What if I’m not great at arcade games?

No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”

Are pool tables in arcades still good in this modern age?

Yes, pool tables in arcades remain a fantastic draw in 2025! Games like 8-ball or 9-ball offer tactile, skill-based fun that blends strategy and precision. Modern tables feature smooth felt, responsive cues, and vibrant designs, enhancing the classic experience. Arcades foster a social vibe with casual matches or competitive tournaments, appealing to all skill levels. Unlike digital games, pool’s physicality—lining up shots, feeling the cue’s weight—keeps it timeless.
