This Bowlero location is amazing! The staff is friendly and helpful. The service is fast and top notch! Bring your kids or your serious bowler friends for a great time!
Despite getting off to a rocky start with broken lanes, we had an excellent time and the staff were very quick to help! Mike and team were great and we really appreciated their professionalism and service. Our group of 10 will return soon.
Please do yourself a favor and bowl elsewhere if you actually enjoy and care about bowling as a sport/hobby. I had been a loyal customer coming to this location to bowl league with friends for many years. I bowl 2-3 times a week. Despite the shortcomings of Bowlero's corporate policies of cosmic bowling all day every day policy - this center's policy in supporting league bowlers and maintaining the small base of bowling enthusiasts has become incredibly more challenging every season/every year. With all of
Bowlero?s a blast! Sal?s stellar bartending & warm vibes make it a hit ??. Crispy garlic Parm fries & funnel fries arrive hot, fast. Free ice water pitcher was a nice touch ??. Clean lanes, fun arcade for kids, but no iced tea or partial bumpers. Great happy hour & staff deserve bigger tips!
I had a great experience there. We loved the bartender Sal, she was nice and so helpful. We will definitely come back because of her and the environment was so much fun. We will definitely be back!
It's not as fancy as another location of this chain I'm more familiar with, but I don't know how it compares to the chain I'm general. Food was good. Both the garlic Parm fries and the funnel fries were very hot and crisp, and came out pretty fast. They have Pepsi fountain drinks there, but I didn't like that they don't have iced tea. I asked for a cup of water, and thought it was nice the worker at the concessions stand just gave me a pitcher of ice water and two cups so we could have water for the tabl
Everytime I come by I'm treated like Family. Shoutout to Mike The Ops Manager for making sure I'm always situated and taken care of. There never a stone left unturned when it comes to making sure my experience is top tier. The servers are swift and respectful and the good is GREAT QUALITY!! Their chef be cheffing!! Great place to kick it for a calm date! The aura in the place is immaculate. Felt like a disco with an arcade. Only thing missing was a skating rink lol.
Very good place for bowling with the family and for work events. The lanes are equipped with relatively modern technology, the place is optimally lit and the combination of white and red lights on the ceiling creates a nice atmosphere. Food is average and bit over priced ( not unusual) Balls are clean and there is good range based on weight and hand size. Good place to Bowl for family, friends or work events
Staff was wonderful. I'm normally a 20% tipper but we gave more for the great service if only the patrons would control thier children and respect the staff more we felt bad for them. Great happy hour as well food was not so bad either. Good prices for bowling too.
Our family loves coming here! Great service, food and drinks served to your lane, great music and atmosphere, fun arcade, good food, super friendly staff! And they have affordable season passes too!
Took our Nephew and toddler bowling here, and truly had the best time! attentive reception area, clean and modern bowling shoes. Great deals on nibbles for the kiddos while bowling and they also happen to have an arcade for a little extra something to share as a family throughout bowling or after. Clean space. Helpful staff.
Mikeeeee. This man is made of magic! He brings so much energy and vibe to this place !!!! I also LOVE the new server staff. It's making me come here way to often!!! Mike also magically talked me into a pizza pitcher combo with his. Charm and the pizza was soo good we bought 2 . I love how humble the mangers are with the staff here. Everyone looks so happy that it makes me want to have fun! And I do everytime I go here! Sterling in the number 1 location out of all of the one I been to hands down. Care goes
We snagged a Groupon for bowling for 2hr and shoes for 2 people and we loved it! The temperature was great inside, there were bowling balls sized 6, 8, 10, 12 & 14 at each lane. At check-in you received your shoes, lane number and the server?s name which was so helpful. We got a bunch of the apps (mozzarella sticks, chicken tenders, pretzel dipper and cheesy sticks) and enjoyed all of them! Great taste, tasty dipping sauces and quick delivery. The beer pitchers are $20, so I would recommend the deal of gett
This is the best bowling in sterling the staff is amazing especially the manager Mike he is so nice and welcoming he also was working so hard in making sure everybody?s needs were met (truly a blessing). Our time there will definitely be one of many and would surely recommend
It's a nice place for group gatherings .. very humble employees and friendly too. Thank you, team. The food is good.
We come to Bowlero weekly and have developed a friendship with the staff, everyone is very friendly and we always enjoy our time there. The manager, Mike is awesome and always takes care of us.
Come here once a week and always do unlimited bowling. Came in on a Wednesday and was told unlimited is not offered on Wednesday. Advised one of managers they should update their website so people don't drive out here on the premise of false advertising from their out of date website (apparently this change went into effect 3 months ago and their webmaster must be in acoma). Would not honor their website?s pricing after showing them.
Shawn was very nice checking us in, my friends have seen him here before and said he's always nice and bubbly. As we were playing it was fun, then out of nowhere another worker comes to us and gets mad that my friends and i are standing in the lanes, although everyone else is also doing the same and being more disruptive. Kids in the lanes next to us all standing in crowds by the lanes dancing and others taking pictures yet we are just standing and we get ?in trouble?. Bowling was priced decently and the fo
This place is nicely upgraded since becoming Bowlero from Bowl America. The staff are friendly and it has a very modern feel. The shoes we rented were obviously pretty new. The arcade is also decent which my kids love. Overall it's a great place. It is expensive though. I came with 3 adults and 4 kids. Shoe rental plus two games was close to $200. Add in food, drinks and arcade and it becomes an expensive afternoon.
Fix your lanes and fix your prices! Although the building is modern and welcoming, the quality of the lanes caused scuffs and damage to my friend and I?s personal bowling balls. This along with the ridiculous price for the games made me regret even going in the first place. Don't normally go out of my way to post a review but this was robbery honestly; should?ve known that would?ve been the case when they asked to hold a card at the front desk.
I have always enjoyed this place, even during the Bowl America phase. I am sad that the air conditioning doesn't work effectively. I would never bowl a summer league here
We had an amazing experience there as a family! The service was great. We had someone come and take care of us and take our orders and be super attentive. The manager was awesome. I kept going back to him to ask questions and he was so helpful. The food was great and we will be back soon.
Staff was Amazing. No waiting, and food was fresh and great. And surprisingly the drinks was great. The Forbidden Fruit was my favorite.
I'm not a fan of bowling, maybe that's the reason I did not like this place as such of other reviewers. Clean enough, the balls are not properly sorted based on their weight and size. Of course foods and drinks are expensive if you buy them there, but not very expensive as some entertainment facilities in the northern Virginia area. There are plenty of arcade games available if you like to play. Parking spots are available a lot, and access to the facility is not difficult.
I came here on Saint Patty?s Day for my mothers birthday who flew in from another state. We order 3 waters that took forever and was charge $26 bucks for it? the old man was rude and shouted at me loud af to leave right when they closed. I was just about to play my last game I had left. So rude. 0/10 experience will not be coming back to this location
Great lanes, great service. One of the few bowling alleys that doesn't use string-pins (for now) and hosts regular leagues so the lane quality is great if you're trying to get better and show up before peak hours.
We had lots of fun bowling at Bowlero. There was a big mix-up with our food order which was charged multiple times but never delivered. Ultimately we did not get our food and went out to eat after we were done bowling. They canceled the food charges and comped our sodas and gave us a discount for next time we go. All in all we had a good experience.
I enjoyed bowling here with friends from my office, but the bowling ball selection was not great. I have normal/not thick fingers. I had to bowl with 13lb-16lb balls here as Every ball smaller had very tiny holes. I've bowled Many times across the country and Always find 11/12lb balls bored to normal size hands, and those suit me better. Many of the balls were very banged up. Other than that the staff, prices, and food was good.
Enjoyed an afternoon of fun with young family members. Haven't been bowling in years but liked the convenience of multiple choices of balls right at each alley. Seemed quite clean and food service to the alley is a nice benefit. Only complaint is that the automatic scorer on our alley was temperamental. Sometimes it scored properly and other times not. Fortunately, we were able to correct the score so it was ok but added a little more watchfulness to assuring the score was correct. Curious as to why t
Great piece for a fun family experience. Especially with the group discount via Groipon. The food options are decent. Vegetarian options are also available.
Had a good experience here overall. Music they played was 10/10. Would?ve been 5 stars but the pizza tasted like it's been in the freezer for a while but the fries were good and so were the mozzarella bites. Beer was good too I like the beer tower.
Attended birthday party. Kids had a blast. They seemed understaffed and it took a while to get food but everything tasted good. Facility was nice and staff was friendly.
First time there and Family had a great time and regardless of what another reviewer said, David could not have been nicer. Now the lady behind the counter... That's another story. She was definitely not very friendly. Noworries. We had a blast. The food was cheap and the Drinks were great! What more could you ask for.
You get exactly what you came for at this bowling alley. It's been totally renovated, food is ... bowling alley food... Clean lanes, large selection of balls, new shoes. It's a bowling alley! it's exactly what you expect. This is not Lucky Strike folks, it's a plain old bowling alley with a fresh coat of paint, a new system, new floors, new tables.
The staff were not pleasant nor polite. The older man was very rude to us all and even shouted at my child. Terrible customer service overall. Save yourself a trip and money, go somewhere else.
Great Experience ? Will Definitely Be Back! I was really impressed with the atmosphere. The place was clean, friendly, and welcoming, making it perfect for a fun night out. The lanes were well-maintained, and everything felt organized. A special shoutout to the manager, Elvin, who was extremely helpful during our visit. He made sure everything ran smoothly and was available to answer any questions. Great customer service overall! I'll definitely be coming back and would highly recommend this place to oth
Been bowling here regularly for the past year or so since moving to the area. But the maintenance of the ball returns and pin racks have been declining slowly. I had to request a ball return and the ball returned totally chewed up. How are people supposed to bowl regularly when the lanes may damage the individual?s bowling equipment on any given visit? Just an overall downer since the staff are generally helpful.
Services! Drinks! Food! And more! 10/10 the vibes were great all night! We will be back for the weekend turn up!
I had my 4 year old princesses birthday party here at the Bowlero in Sterling. I got the ultimate package which comes with lots of the all you can eat food. You also are assigned a server who makes sure everything is taken care of along with a manager. Our manager was Philip Morrison. He was AMAZING. He made sure everything was fresh at all times. When our trays were empty or sodas needed to be refilled he was on it. He would often ask If we needed anything and if we did he was there. I want to thank him a
AVOID SCAM CLAW MACHINES: Celebrated a birthday party with a medium sized group. The table for our lane was very dirty and had spills but staff cleaned it up at our request. The bowling was fun, which was the main point. Then we decided to try the large claw machine with the stuffed toys. Boy did we regret it. Spent $20 to play and got scammed worse than at a carnival. It's supposed to be a test of skill but it's just a blatant ripoff, as the video shows. Three out of four tries were on point but the cl
I received an expired voucher 3 weeks ago from a different bowlero, I went to us it tonight at a location closer to my house only to find out this voucher was expired and purposefully had the date crossed out by the team at the first location. Shout out to the guys that were at check in at Sterling location they explained what happened and resolved the issue very swiftly. I appreciated them and thank you guys for being so nice and fixing the issue!
Hosted my son?s birthday party here - highly recommend. Endy, the General Manager, was Fantastic. He went above and beyond to make sure his 13th birthday was a blast. They're attentive, communicative, a helpful staff as a whole, and are able to make the experience SUPER easy. Thanks Endy & Sterling team!
Just moved to the area from Springfield. I've been in League play on Thursday nights at the Burke location. This place certainly seems better overall. Best competitive League Night?
great vibes, great food, great customer service
Today was a great day! Mike hooked us up with some good deals and the night was great
Nice and a good form of noise since there was a large family get together. Pricey, but everything appears well maintained. Staff were bullish on food (no outdoor, food - even an empty water bottle was discouraged.) Wonder how they would accommodate those with food intolerances or food allergies.
We visited on a Friday night, and it wasn't crowded at all. The staff helped us right away and were very accommodating. The place is the same size as the one in Centreville but looks newer. The seven teenagers in our group also enjoyed the arcade games after bowling. We had a fantastic time!
They have raised the prices since the remodel. Also, waiter was glaring at us the entire time. At one point he rolled his eyes while talking to us. Didn't want to provide us with waters. Rude staff and price increase might be the reason why the alley was practically empty on a Friday night.
Bowling used to be a family sport. Growing up, families that did not have a lot of money could throw a few games on the weekends and not break the bank. When Bowlero took over pretty much everything in the area, they jacked up the prices, saying that they were making improvements. Cute paint job, but I'm not impressed. The prices have become so unreasonable that a young family would find the cost unobtainable. If I came in on a Sunday afternoon with a family four to play two games plus shoe rentals, it woul
I used to come here as a young boy. Since then, it was my first time back and my experience could not have been better. We arrived close to closing and they were more than welcoming. Endy took care of our group like we were family. The vibes are great and the music is fantastic. Very clean establishment. Highly recommend if you are considering spending some time here.
Nice bowling alley. This summer they had the Summer Blast special where kids bowled 2 games free every day (and one free game for the parent) so we went regularly. Lots of fun.
Awesome place. The price is also pretty decent. I went after 9 pm at that time there is no time limit or per hour you pay once and you are good until 12:30am. There are bunch of lanes. Try to come after checking how busy is the place but most likely they will be available. The service is good and they have good food and drinks as well
This summer we started to bowl more and we took advantage of the summer package they were offering. We had great time every single time we have visited. Establishment is clean and great for a family time. Today we visited and were served by. Evan he was great, he was always making sure all of our needs were covered and he provided excellent customer service.
This place has gone down hill. Manager want you to bowl in the dark. Its not possible. They won't turn on the lights except for 5 lanes on a far side. The lanes have markings for a reason. The Bowler is not able to utilize this lane markings on a dark lane. The lights magically work when there is competition or leagues using the facilities. Bowlero is destroying the activity of Bowling.
I have literally nothing bad to say about this Bowling Alley. Amazing aesthetics, decent food, and good systems. Nice staff as well. Highly Recommend.
Friendly staff, clean facility, and reasonable price! It's a great place for everyone.
This location is the worst one in the area. They nickel and dime their players. We went one night and wanted to take advantage of the 3rd game at 50% off. We were told we needed to tell the cashier beforehand that we wanted to do the deal. Despite the deal being blasted on all the TVs, apparently you can't just bowl 3 games and get the deal automatically. The money is not even a big deal - it was their surly attitude towards us when we asked for the discount - left a sour taste in our mouth over a $10 charg
Wondering whether or not to host a party here? Highly recommend to look someplace else. Just stopped in to see party options and tried talking to manager. Opening statement - all reservations need to be on phone with the sales rep. However, i can answer questions. The moment you start asking questions every answer is depending on the package you may get this or that all vague answers simply put. Not even willing to explain what packages, whats included and I am not talking about the staff member its the MA
Friendly staff and good lanes. Update: the staff is always friendly but beware if they have any specials. There is a big sign in front of the register that says 3rd game 50% off. So I go ahead and bowl 3 games and I got charged full price on the 3rd game. I inform the employee hey isint the 3rd game 50% off and he lets me know that I have to inform them first before I bowl that I'm going to use that special. No where in the sign is this specified. He apologized and told me there was nothing he could do. I?v
Great place for kids to enjoy quality family time and get tired in the process.
Cute, retro but updated bowling alley with a good food menu. Has a little arcade too and a bar area.
Pretty expensive for what it is. The aesthetics are nice, however, outside of the decor/cleanliness, it was better when it was Bowl America. Bowl America had better prices and at least didn't have music blasting so loud that you have to yell to talk to anyone. If you're feeling antisocial though I guess the music serves as a good excuse to keep to yourself.
Only have been here twice so far and both times have been good. We've been reserving a lane ahead of time which I highly recommend. A whole league came in after us lol. Very pleasant staff and clean facility! Will be returning.
Bowling experience was great. Food experience was unpleasant. Since they were short staffed today, I spent more time waiting for food than watching the birthday party. There was no organization of receiving food orders and it took a good 40 minutes before they asked what we had ordered. They were unapologetic but they finally delivered. Birthday party was great and the host was very attentive. Would come for that experience again but definitely not ordering food unless they are full staffed.
Bowling. Brought the kids after signing up for their rewards thing. Free game for the kids and one adult per month. We played two games each and rented shoes so it wasn't free, but it was nearly half the price it otherwise would have been. Kids used bumpers and had a great time. The ?machinery? got gummed up several times and we had to get them to reset the lane. It wasn't a big hassle but it meant going up to the desk and standing in line. We didn't eat, but food and drink options are availab
Good time. My only issue is that the screen letters and numbers etc are pretty small and hard to see.
Love their season pass. Got one from May through September.
This work outing was so much fun! Great way to cheer on your colleagues and knock some pins down. I'll be voting to do this one again.
We had a fantastic time and the food was great as well
Staff was friendly and phenomenal. Will suggest this place again if anyone wants to bowl.
Fun environment, great for families. Reasonably priced. Often not too crowded which is great for kids. Gets more busy as the evening gets later.
We had some mix up with corporate about our bday party package, but the local management more than took care of us. We stayed to bowl a few more rounds and will be back again. Great place for kids and adults.
One of the best bowling alleys I've been to. Clean, friendly and extremely attentive staff who would make sure we had everything we needed while playing. The food was better than expected and overall we had a great time. I'd recommend reserving a lane because it definitely saves time and enhances your experience.
Went to a fun birthday party here. Clean, rental shoes were fine, and the arcade was fun too.
Great service at the front desk and fun options for bowling score displays. Clean atmosphere. A little high $ for food and drinks.
First time going with wife and kids, really enjoyed our time in the arcade and I love the fact that they had slides for our kids to help them bowl, the birria tacos where the best in town??
Great atmosphere with new renovations. It seems like the bowling lanes hardware is still lacking though as the lane I was on for stuck multiple times in my time slot and I was not reimbursed for lost time
Great bowling alley with beyond fantastic service. The staff is very welcoming and super friendly. Endy Fuentes is especially amazing because of his great energy and the willingness to go above and beyond to making this place so great.
Terrible place and very poor management. Take your money elsewhere
We haven't been to Sterling before and we were looking for something to do. We found this bowling ally and had a lot of fun. The staff were really nice, and helpful, everything was nice and clean and when the lights went out for the night time Bowl it was so much fun. The music was great and we had a blast. I recommend the Friday 8pm unlimited bowl for $21. The only issue we had was we had to keep moving tables. There's not enough seating for bowlers, we had to stick to a single chair the both of us. The gr
My partner and I semi-regularly bowl at this location and it's hands down my favorite of all the Bowleros I have been to. The manager, Jacob, has become a familiar face that we look forward to each time we come in. He makes sure to stop by our lane to say hello, see how we're doing (both on the lane and off) and celebrates our wins with us. Other employees we have interacted with have been super nice and are incredibly friendly as well. In general, the prices are the most reasonable I've come across and
Good place to do bowling but terrible service when you take the food package. Food refills take forever and it's not worth the money you spend.
We went there for my kids' birthday party. We used groupon for 13 people to play and the staff were very professional and patient to get us set up without problems. When I went order pizza and chicken tenders, the staff were very helpful to help us place orders and bringing food to our bowling lanes. The pizza and chick tenders were surprisingly good. My two teens children really enjoyed playing with their friends and liked the food so much. Definitely will go back again. Highly recommend this place...
3 people, 2 games, $85?!?!?! With 1,200 video advertisments in view at all times, why the hell are they charging THIS much??? Literally the most expensive bowling alley I've ever been to. Won't be going again. I wasn't even told the price up front, just "Gimme your card so you can choose to play more" like an open tab. I did not expect to pay 14 fn dollars per person per game! That's outrageous!
It's not the best bowling alley let's just be real. But it's a fair place to come to bowl. I thought their prices would sky rocket after being taken over by bowlero but they're still within reasonable ranges especially if you come on one of their specials nights like on Sundays. Staff was a attentive as teenager can be expected. Other staff were rightfully annoyed by still very helpful. Everyone was very helpful don't get me wrong, but the vibe was contentious through the helpfulness. Nothing wrong wit
From the outside this place looks like an abandoned building. Once you step in you are confronted with this really cool retro modern looking alley. Rental shoes are perfect. Plenty of ball options. The food is excellent. Cold buckets of beer. Absolutely amazing.
Went in 6 people (including) myself, Board said 8.50$ per game and made us wait till after we already played to pay money instead of giving us a grand total first because they wanted to scam me, on top of 6$ per pair of shoes came out to almost 100$ even. What I'm saying is don't go here because they will false advertise saying 8.50 per game on some huge board but fail to disclose it's actually per person then make u wait till after u played to tell you it's 8.50$ per person not per game. First and last tim
Scam pricing, not per lane but per person
It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.
Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.
Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.
Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.
Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.
Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.
Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.
No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
Arcade prize games are a thrilling highlight in 2025! Claw machines, skee-ball, and ticket-redemption games like basketball offer a rush of skill and chance, with rewards like plushies, toys, or electronics up for grabs. Modern machines feature vibrant lights, digital scoreboards, and responsive controls, amplifying the fun. The lively arcade atmosphere, with cheering crowds and buzzing energy, makes every win feel epic.
