Wonderful time bowling, employees were very nice. Found a stray baby kitten hiding underneath our cars and attempted to get it out for about 30 minutes before it ran under and employees car, went and informed the employees, even after it was closed and the employees came out and were extremely kind and assisted us for another 30 minutes to get the cat out from under their car and wanted to ensure its safety, employee even offered to take it home and take care of it. Best employees me and friends have ever m

Be warned, it is very pricey at this location. For 2 games and 2 shoe rentals it was 54.00; very very expensive for what you get and that includes myself with the summer pass(total 3 people 2 regular price 1 summer pass). I would recommend the summer pass as it is a great value, but going as normal it is over priced. We ordered 2 drinks and that alone was 35.00 and they were not great. I must say the customer service was really the best part of this trip. The team answered all my questions, explained the su

We had our annual holiday party here and we absolutely loved it! The manager was nice and extremely attentive. Food was great and always fresh. We had a little issue with the lanes but it was fixed quickly. Overall we had a great time. Thank you for making our experience a memorable one ????

On Father?s Day 2025 my two daughters treated me to one of my favorite past times, bowling. We called Bowlero to get info on price and availability of lanes. We had the pleasure of speaking to Mirenda. I have been employed in the customer service industry for 20+ years. I was very impressed with the exceptional customer service that she provided, especially due to the fact it was over the phone. Once we arrived she greeted us at the front counter. We immediately recognized who she was because of the sound o

Amazing experience! I planned a party for my 4-5th grade Sunday school class with their party coordinator a month and a half ago. She was super easy to work with and everything was very affordable. Unfortunately I accidentally booked the wrong day! So when I showed up Sunday with my class the manager was surprised and said he wondered why we were no shows yesterday. Despite the fact that it was completely my fault, the manager found us two lanes and got everything set up in minutes. Our pizzas and dri

We've been here a few times and my kiddos love going! Super clean establishment and bathrooms (my #1 concern especially with a little one who is potty training) the appetizers are also pretty good my picky son even ate the nuggets. More and smaller bowling ball options would be nice for kids but not the end of the world. Definitely check them out??

We had our daughter's 15th birthday party there. The staff was amazing and made sure we had everything we needed. The food provided was hot, abundant and delicious. It was scarfed down by hungry teens. I definitely recommend using them for party needs.

Was really affordable for a birthday party. Great service, clean renovated feel inside, nice arcade area new machines all working, pizza quality not bad for a bowling alley, friendly and attentive service.

The manager Eric vest manager have seen in any bowling alley, I will be coming back to buy a summer pass to improve my scores to improve my score considering a league.

Went in today to receive a summer pass that I ordered online. The lady who helped me today was an old lady wearing glasses and was not helpful whatsoever. I had questions about the pass, and wanted to see if i could also buy one for a friend, but put it under their name of course. She gave a lot of attitude and was treating me like an idiot. Her voice sounded annoyed and was constantly cutting me off and brushing me over. All i wanted was a simple ?yes or no? to my answer about buying a pass as a gift for f

I went to Bowlero had a great experience at first. When it was time to check out, the old lady with glasses. She was so disrespectful and rude. I work in customer service myself we don't speak to guest like the way she was speaking. This is the last time I will ever go there. Jax lanes and beach bowl have better employees. Save your time and your peace.

If you're looking for a fun family outing, Bowlero is a great choice! ???? The arcade games seem to never end and it's a very lively, fun, and welcoming atmosphere that both I and my kids enjoyed. ?????? The food is yummy and should satisfy every age. ????A reason I didn't give it five stars is because there wasn't enough seating for my family of five, we pulled up another chair and it was a quick fix, but besides for that and the noice it truly was great! ??????- Sara Jo Approved!

Love this place! Manager and staff are very friendly and accommodating. Always good music so the atmosphere is very fun. Also very cheap drinks if you're looking for a fun night out and don't want to spend a ton! 10/10 recommend

We went with my family & grankids. We bowled 2-3 games & had a great time. We didn't eat there but there is the ability to get food & drinks. The staff is very nice & accommodating. Worth it.

My husband and I brought our 8 year old here today around 2pm. We met our friend and her tween daughter. Immediately we were greeted by friendly staff. They set us up on a lane with shoes very promptly. We ordered drinks and food. A pitcher of beer, which was cold and crisp, and a few crown and cokes which were poured to perfection. We ordered the alley sampler, and while the cheese bread sticks came out a little too well done, everything was absolutely delicious. We actually didn't event mention the breads

Nice place to bowl. The inside is obviously new and the lanes were neat, but there were some issues with pins falling down after placement.

This was our FIRST & LAST time visiting this place . My family & I visited this place lastnight March 29, 2025 . When we first arrived we were told the price of the shoes & the price of the lane. Each person was charged for a LANE meanwhile we only had ONE LANE. We got charged $200 for 6 people to bowl which was ridiculous.. We decided after we got settled in our lane, to go get food and have some drinks. The short Caucasian lady at the register whose maybe mid 30s early 40s was very RUDE ! my auntie & I w

One of my favorite bowleros I go here every Sunday for the unlimited with my brother show up it's ??

My fianc? and I have been coming to this Bowlero location for three years now and we love it. Out of all of the different bowling options in Jacksonville we tell everyone to come here. The staff is so friendly and they take the time to get to know you. We are also in a Bowlero league at this location and have met a lot of great friends in the process. 10/10 recommend!

Had a great time at this bowlero unit. We had booked our 2 hour time via Groupon. It was great deal. The food is also good and so is the atmosphere. Will definitely come again with a larger group and stay for some more time.

Average bowling alley with tables that are too small, monitors that are too old and lanes that break down on a consistent basis. The associates were very nice. Food was average. Definitely more fries than most bowling allys would give for a combo. Layout is standard similar to many other Bowl Americas. Just looks like the company decided to abandon putting any money into this one. Only reason this is as high as 3 stars, is because the lanes bowled well. Overall, just barely average. Will only visit if force

My family and I have come here multiple times and it's always a great experience! The staff is friendly and helpful, their hours are great, pretty clean throughout, food tastes good, kids love the arcade! And of course, bowling is fun for everyone! They make it easy for the kids with bumpers and a special bowling ramp.

An awesome bowling alley for BOTH "for fun" and "competitive" bowlers. Very friendly staff who actually take the time to remember your name! I have NEVER had that happen at any other bowling alley. Even when they have league, they still find a way for me to get a lane. Brought my friends, and they became regulars, as well. Many good memories! OH, and they have not converted to string pins. HUGE plus! ????

Bowling is great. Vibe is great. Food is standard bowling alley food. But goodness gracious, half of the staff has TERRIBLE customer service. Honestly, it's better to eat and drink before you get here because you spend half the bowling time getting food, drinks, and shoes. Honestly, I doubt I will be back here.

Great staff! Love the energy and food was pricey but good. Recommend going when the 15.99 unlimited is going on!

Got charged $140 for 6 people to bowl two games. Beach bowl is only $25 per LANE per hour up to 6 people. When I asked about pricing I was told its $9 per person per game so for 3 people to bowl two games was $77 this is highway robbery considering your bowling alley hasn't been updated since the 1990?s. General manager is very nice but the short haired ?manager ? could use a lesson is business ethics she had a lot of attitude when I asked for shoes for my two year old and even went as far to tell me that t

Eric, the manager was very polite and has a great personality. I will definitely be back although I didn't get the summer pass.

So almost like the center doesn't wanna make money. How does a bowling alley not open until 5 o'clock 4 out of the 7 days a week? Jax Lanes Bowling alley, 2 miles down road opens between 11-12 o'clock every day. Guess all of us will just go there? Good job Bowlero you're making good decisions ?? let's go corporate ?? I know the response will be, ?we don't get many people during the day?. Well, that's because you're always closed.

The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. The lanes are a little too slippery. It was fun and I wanted a little more light. I enjoyed the music and the atmosphere. We had a fun family outing.

I am not sure if this is a new place or if I just recently found it, but this place is nice. Me and my friends recently played bowling there, and it was actually pretty good. I also made a decent score so; The only thing I didn't like was that the entrance smelled like smoke. If there was some sort of ventilation or a ban on smoking in the entrance, it would make my experience better. But the bowling itself is five out of five.

Very busy, not enough staff the first lane they put us in would not work. It took 25 minutes to get going once we had paid and had our shoes. The couple right before us was half way through their second game when we finally started. The people on the other side needed the bumpers up and one wouldn't work right. Very frustrating experience. Probably okay if it's not busy. This was lunchtime on Sunday and not expected at all.

Came Here Saturday and Really Enjoyed Some Quality Family Time. Food Was Great and Environment Too Besides The Cashier That Decided To Wear a Birthday Sash and Be Utterly Mean To My Fiance and I. I'm Sorry Your PTO Wasn't Approved For Your Birthday But Your Rude and Nasty Ways Didn't Impact Our Great Night. Sorry -5000 Stars For You ONLY

We love it here. Good service, clean, lots of balls to select from, good prices.

Need bowling balls that will accommodate people with big hands. Close at 12 on weekends, when other bowling alley close by closes at 2.

We a a very good time. Friendly staff. Drinks were delicious.

THE WHOLE STAFF IS AMAZING, MADE MY DAUGHTER?S BIRTHDAY PERFECT ! MR.JAMES I CAN NOT THANK YOU ENOUGH FOR CHECKING ON US AND MAKING SURE WE HAD ALL WE NEEDED. SEE YOU SOON.

The place was really clean. The staff was friendly. My wife and I had a good time. However, the equipment needs a serious upgrade. This place is reminiscent of the 80's and it's 2021..... It's like a time machine broke, and this place is stuck in it. Again, the staff was nice, and the place was clean. If in the area, I will visit this place again, but some serious upgrades should be considered. Bowling alleys have come a long way, and how outdated the equipment is here, could be a turn-off for some people.

Stopped in for a few games. Service was fast and friendly. Looks like the kids were having fun. The drinks were good.

Bowlero is awesome! My boyfriend and I bowl almost every week and we even joined a league last spring. The staff is always friendly and inviting, the facility is clean, the lanes are nice, and the big screen tvs are an added attraction. There isn't another bowling alley in the area that compares. I wish, with all the upgrades made to the facility, they would consider repaving their parking lot but it's definitely not a deterent.

The staff was cool. But it was fruit flies in my drink! Staff was aware of it and they still made drinks. Disgusting!! ??

Whoever is bartending 3/1 at 9:30 you need to replace. Spent 30 minutes trying to get one pitcher, the lady was rude and can't bartend.

edit 8/25/22 - removing stars. The last few times we have gone they are closing earlier and earlier with no notice and the same hours on the door. Unlimited deal at 8 is pointless when they close at 9:30. We left BA last night and there was about 15 people there. We went over to Jax Lanes and it was a packed house. Very disappointed lately. OG review - They have finally done huge upgrades to this place. All new bowling consoles, monitors, lights, tables and chairs, flooring, and painted. There is a lot more

I used to bowl regularly at this location (probably 20 years ago) before it became Bowlero. Yesterday was the first time we visited since the change in ownership. The bowling alley was clean. The staff was friendly, greeted us promptly and with a positive attitude and smile. The check in time was short and the process was smooth. The manager went above and beyond to ensure our outing with our kids was great! We will return in the future as our kids really seem to enjoy bowling now. Would highly recommend to

Very nice place to bowl, plus they have liquor and food. They also have a game room. No string pins.

Great time! Huge tv screens for watching football while enjoying family time. $17 a person after game of bowling includes shoe rentals. 10/10 for sure

The bowling itself was not terrible. There was a problem with the paymet. Upon checkout, I saw on each table was a flyer for Thursday night special 16.50 unlimited with shoes included. The cashier said that the website was out of date and not a current offer. I grabbed the flyer that was on each table and showed the offer. The casher continued to check me out with full price during the conversation and handed me back my change. I was told other people tried to get the same offer too but sorry its not availa

The staff is super helpful. Friendly bowling center. One of my favorites.

James and his team exceeded my expectations. I don't usually leave reviews, but this experience truly deserves one. My party had an amazing time, and the staff went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect. I highly recommend this place. if you have a large group and want to have a fantastic time reserve your spot and prepay it is worth every penny. The customer service here is outstanding.

The manager Johnny and the whole staff were amazing! They understood the assignment completely when I came in with concerns about whether they lanes to accommodate the family reunion that showed up last minute. Johnny the manager was more than helpful and exceeded expectations on placing everyone together on 3 lanes. We all had an awesome night, there was no disdain on the staff faces when we ordered a lot of food ten minutes before the kitchen closed and I will definitely come back here again to bowl anyti

amazing bowling area, and great workers, best work was Eric, he was very helpful and polite, would recommend!

Had my sons birthday party there recently and didn't opt for a ?party? because it was mostly adults. The staff members were so nice and accommodating and we still left with a goodie bag. We all had a great time!

Location is amazing aside from the fact that they have the lights off in the middle of the afternoon, Not all of us are here to global and spend the same money. How about lights on during the afternoon and then Glow-bowl in the evening.

This bowling alley has really changed over the years for the better. They've made some nice upgrades. The only downfall was that the restrooms really need to be maintenance and upgraded as the stalls were extremely small and they need to have balls with bigger holes. I would recommend for your next bowling outing.

Made a party reservation for my son 12th birthday and honestly it was great! The staff are very nice very welcoming the party set up was great. They have different party packages that you can choose from that was nice everything we needed it for the party. The food options were very good and it tastes great too! We loved how they keep the food always hot. The bowling area was good very family feeling overall we had a great experience everyone in the party was pleased. I would recommend this bowling place :)

Great Bowling Alley. The Spring Break special was a great deal! We'll be back!

A friend and I came here on a Wednesday night around 8pm and apparently it was league night. They had a couple lanes but they were occupied so we were put on a wait list. During our wait, I went up to the ?bar?. I sat down on the barstool hoping to order a drink. After not even being greeted, I said ?hello how's it going??, to which a girl with a long blonde ponytail responded ?good?. I continued to sit there waiting to get acknowledged and order drinks, 7 minutes went by and I still was not approached by h

My husband and I went with our two kids but I felt we were somehow cheated. When we arrived we were told it was 8.99 per game for a group of 4. I indicated we wanted to play 3 games in lane 12 and I wanted to pay for the games and our shoes $5.99 each before we played. We were told to pay later. Upon leaving we were hit with a $140 plus bill and told it was for 8.99 per person per game. My friends left before us and got the original price we were told and we were hit with this ridiculous price. While I had

I like the cleanliness, clear atmosphere and monitors all throughout. Food was easy to order and tasted fine, with generous fountain drinks as an added bonus. Good supply of balls, very clean and shoes were in good condition. I don't like the price--but that's more of a sign of our times. Bowling used to be a cheap past time.

Very clean facility. Staff was very nice and attentive. Great family fun and priced right.

We aren't good bowlers, but we have a lot of fun throwing the ball down the lane. This is our favorite bowling alley because it has working AC (some around here don't) and they never seem too pretentious. Some of the bowling alleys we have been to don't seem to care if you bowl there or not. When they all function largely the same, a little friendliness goes a long way. The snack bar sucks, though. I wouldn't get anything there.

Went the other night and was told it would be a 2 hours wait. I was kinda upset about it, but understood. We ordered food and after 45 min waiting for it, we were told we had to get up from the table we have been siting at for over a hour. I then asked about my food, and they said they are starting it now. There was no reason it should have taken a full hour for my food. I then asked for a refund, and it seemed like no one knew how to do it or let me know how it worked. Will not be back!

I have beeb bowling in a league here for 2 years and have delayed on leaving a review for far too long. I have been bowling for years and these lanes are far and away the best. The people that work there are always very pleasant from the front desk, snack bar and even the mechanic that works in the back. Libby the league manager however is the very best. She is quick to greet you with a smile on her face and is happy to accomodate any request you may have. Libby has many duties and somehow is quick to updat

We had a fun family afternoon here. We were turned away from the first bowling alley we tried because of leagues but glad we were. This bowling alley was fresh and clean and had good food . Computer is a little outdated compared to other bowling alleys but that did not have an impact on our experience.

The bowling experience was okay at best. They do not have automatic bumpers, and our lane had to be reset twice. Their pricing up was very clear. They charged per game, and per person. So if you bowl two games with three people you're actually paying for six games. To be fair it was in very small print on their sign. We also ordered food, and it took well over 30 minutes for two appetizers Will not be coming back.

The Bowlero Steff at the southside location is mainly the reason for this five star review. Libby and her management team are just simply amazing always upbeat always positive no matter what kind of day they're having. Honestly, I would like to see Bowlero keep up with the employees in an effort to continue to improve this now packed full house. A big thank you to the incredible staff and a very respectful plead to Bowlero To improve the center for them and your patrons. Regards, Shawn

Was a nice experience. Place has been redone and nice, not smokey or anything. Good atmosphere. Young crowd plus families. Jax Lanes was packed so a quick trip a little further down Beach and Bowlero had plenty of parking and lanes. Was able to quickly get a lane and got to bowling. $9-10/person/game and $6 for shoes or $20 unlimited (but still need to pay for shoes). Good time, would recommend and would definitely go back again.

It was quite fun, they have coupons on Groupon, even without them they aren't super expensive. Had some pretty good nachos and fries, the soda was kind of flat though. They had great energy and I would definitely be going again.

I went once and never again.. when I heard it was $10 per game & per person I completely gasped for air. Went with my sister, 2 total people, shoe rental, and 3 rounds of bowling for $70?. Now what in the world is this? I know we aren't in 2012 anymore but I remember paying $20 total for a family of 4 for 2 hours back in the day. I know inflation and the economy is crazy nowadays but read this again? $10 a PERSON AND PER game? So a party of 10 needs to pay $100 for a game? That's ridiculous and 2 games $200

Bowl America rebranding to Bowlero was amazing for this location! Robin and Johnny are extremely sweet and they bring the life to the party. The entire staff at this location was nothing but smiling faces with welcoming energy. This location was very clean compared to other alleys here in jax and I cannot stress to you all enough that the service is top notch! Thanks for the awesome time!

Decent place. Mostly clean and good food. Little bit expensive, but otherwise enjoyed ourselves. Would come back.

I really can't say enough about how great our experience was! We came as a group of 35 for an out-of-office function. Check in was easy. The entire staff was friendly and helpful with anything we needed. The buffet set up was more than I expected (looked great!) and food was hot and tasty. There was a minor issue with the league bowlers while we were there, but it was handled professionally and courteously. I have already gotten a ton of emails about how spectacular of a time everyone had. I would absolutel

The man at the front desk in the hawaiian shirt who worked this tuesday evening was nothing but awesome energy, he was super enthusiastic and can tell he loves his job. After needing some assistance, he very politely helped us out and was nothing but smiles and vibes the entire night, what a great and fun person to have working at your front desk, he made the experience an 11/10!

Bowl 3 leagues here a week front desk and kitchen always looks out for me this is the only place I bowl my leagues

I always have an issue here. I purchased a premium summer pass. They gave me a regular card. I had to come back to get the right card. They blamed it on the program being new. They did not gove me my arcade pass. I got that from the San Jose location. I come in and redeem the 2 games and I always have an issue. All workers need to be trained on how to complete the process. There is an issue everytime I come here. The games never work in the arcade. I lost 7 tokens smh.

I went in with my girlfriend on a Friday afternoon. I wanted to play 2 games and needed to rent 2 shoes it came up to $33 which I thought was fine, only to find out they charge you on the basis of per person but advertise it as paying per game. So in actuality I paid $33 for For 1 10 round game. I was informed of this after I went to the counter to start my ?second game.? Honestly the experience was terrible overcharged and little given back. I will never come again due to the simple fact that they charge y

I really like this place...

Lots of fun, clean, friendly staff and the food was good

I made a reservation for seven people only five showed up. I called Bowlero today to ask for a credit for two people two hours which I paid for online per reservation. They said that I would have to call ahead of time to let them know that two people would not show up. I asked them how would I know that somebody?s not gonna show up until after we get there. They will not credit me to people for two hours of bowling which is about $60. They took the money and not going to even give me a credit. I didn't even

Great family fun. Friendly staff. Eat before you come. Snack bar can be expensive

Beautiful remodel. The lounge areas for the lanes are a bit close together and I touched elbows with the bowlers in the lane next to mine. Not a huge deal but may be an issue for some. I was completely satisfied with my experience but would strongly suggest leaving the concession open until you close. They close it an hour before closing and you can't even get a water and there aren't any vending machines. Aside from this, they have a great staff and facility. I will definitely return. ***Daisy was the fro

Very clean and updated facility. However after my wife and I paid 50 dollars for 2 games each and 1 set of shoes we will not be returning. Bowling is now getting unaffordable. I would rather keep my own score and have zero tvs if it means we could play 3 or 4 games. Lots of empty lanes on a Saturday evening.

I'm a league bowler at this location. While the league rate during open bowling is nice for practice, it seems silly to have to ask for lights to be turned on to be able to see anthing on the lane. Managers I interact with are often rude about it and refuse to keep anything on other than dim red lights. If you're a casual bowler, it may not bother you, but you may want to check the prices before you go as they aren't cheap if you don't bowl league here. Bowlero has made some good renovations and most employ

Pretty good place to bowl, Jax Fray has a fun Thursday night social league here. Buckets and pitcher prices are good and the Summer Season pass is a great deal. They would be five stars if they had a juke box with a good sound system.

Don't waste your time and money in this undisciplined and dirty environment.

Back home in Georgia at a another very nice bowling alley it only cost us(family of 5, three kids two adults)total $50 for one game and that's with show rentals. Here, we went today on a Sunday afternoon for one game it was $70.30 for us five. Totally ridiculous.. we've came here before probably a year ago or so and we usually play two games and it wasn't that much. Absolutely not coming back here...,........................ No wonder they want a debit/credit card on file before playing. They don't wa

It was a nice atmosphere. They get crowded really quick and very expensive & delayed with the food. My group & I had a great time overall, I just wish they would have upheld to their promise in regards to putting us on the same lanes together once they were available but we still made the best of it!

Great bowling alley. An update I just noticed was ball speed and advanced statistics available in the scoring system. Very clean and safe atmosphere. I tried the chili dog and fries and the fries get 5 stars.

The food counter lady seemed like she didn't want to work there but everything else was fine. Newly game room and the food was actually good. Lower prices are a must with a size family. Will be back!

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s it like visiting an arcade today?

It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.

Is it better to go alone or with friends?

Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.

What should I bring to an arcade?

Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.

What’s the best time to visit an arcade?

Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.

Can I meet new people at arcades?

Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.

Are arcades still just for kids?

Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.

Are there events or tournaments I can join?

Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.

What if I’m not great at arcade games?

No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
