Came here on a sunday for the all you can bowl deal. We played for 3 hrs and had a blast. The kids had a fantastic time and it was a great price. I think we spent 75 on a family of four with a pitcher of pop. The people working there were friendly. It seemed clean, just a little old. The lanes all worked well. Overall this is a solid choice for an affordable night out with the family. Thanks guy!

Had really bad first experience with these guys. They refused service to us because they said our friend with a speech problem was drunk. We had purchased a pizza and soda. I don't even drink alcohol! But my wife wanted something and they didn't even speak to her before getting spicy with me Im in shock they let people like this so called general manager work there. Our friend left crying and he thought it was funny. It's not funny we had to leave 15 minutes after getting there. It's not funny how much they

The summer pass here pays for itself! $50 for two FREE games everyday till September, I believe. My husband and I try to go everyday and enjoy the fun hobby!

I've been bowling here since it was Sawmill lanes. The layout has changed a bit over the years, but it's more or less the same. We bought the summer pass, and it's pretty much paid for itself after a couple of visits. Food is a bit pricey, but it's not surprising. They're staffed by about two or three people during off hours so be patient. They might be running the register and fixing the lanes, or working the kitchen for a minute. It's been a good time for me and my daughter.

We held a toddler NYE party for 30 adults and kids. They have limited kid ramps and most people "using" them don't have small kids who actually need them to play. They were all taken when we arrived even though I indicated the ages of the kids and that we needed one when I reserved the party. I spent a significant amount for the party and they forgot my food until I went to check on it 45-60 minutes into the party. Once I informed them that there were 12 hungry toddlers, they focused on getting the food out

Had my nephew graduation party here, and I must say.... IT WAS AMAZING!!! EVERYTHING was just right!!! The lanes were lit up, the arcade rocked, and the environment was good. The food was pretty good. We had a ball! Hope you do too!

We showed up on Sunday around 8:30 PM and asked the guy at the front desk what time they closed. He said 11 PM, so we went ahead and paid $16.99 per person for unlimited play. It took us a few minutes to get set up and we started playing around 8:45 PM. Then out of nowhere, they shut the place down at 10 PM. We got barely over an hour of playtime, even though we were told we had more than two hours. The guy at the front looked high and clearly had no clue what he was talking about. Either train your staff

Hadn't been bowling in 15 years and won't be back soon, especially this place. There were only 2 people working there with a full house: the bartender and the sign in guy. Our lane we booked wasn't working when we got there, and apparently a mechanic came just long enough to fix it. I asked whether we should get a different lane while he was fixing it, which was denied. The timer shut us off after 90 mins from our booking time, even though we had started 30 mins late. We were granted 10 extra minutes to fin

My experience was great if I'm being honest. The games are fun and a little cheap. Although, the food is ridiculously high. A 16" pizza costs me US$20.63 as I remember. That's just a cheese pizza. A pepperoni adds US$2.00 extra dollars. If I'm being honest it's a little too much. I can get a large root beer and 3 quarter pounders at McDonald's for the same price. (maybe even lower) A small soda alone is US$5.36. Not really the place for buying stuff. But a good place to waste your wallet. 4 stars.

As prices aren't really advertised: 5 people bowling 2 games each on a Sunday afternoon was about $110. That seems to be normal these days, so that is not what drives the given rating down. We were assigned lane 3, and the tables associated with lanes 1-5 were disgusting. The tables were full of left over disposable plates of half eaten pizza, fries, and spilled drinks. I wasn't sure if the mess was from a party earlier on the same day or from a late party the previous day. Either way, I did not see party g

Anthony was amazing to deal with. I approached him with a slight dilemma and he moved my party?s lane and was very pleasant about it. Good atmosphere and the lanes are pretty nice as well. Eat before you come because the food is very expensive other than that great place with great bowling specials!

Honestly I'm super impressed! Staff was so friendly. The atmosphere was great! We had a blast. Way better than anything we have near me.

Place is ?okay? it's not the best in the town, very overpriced would recommend just buying food somewhere else. The arcade games tend to break and are always having some sort of problems (Even the Chuck E. Cheese down the street has less problems and is cheaper) if you want over priced bowling this is the place for you. Would recommend going to Chuck E. Cheese instead much cheaper and better.

Great facility, over 50 lanes. Pro shop on site with excellent service and advice. My only problem is the defective ball kept curving into the gutter.

Wow. What a place for bowling alley lover's. 50 bowling tracks at a time can be played. Very neat and clean. Staff very friendly. A place for parties with sporty enjoyment. Food also good. Games for children also available. But rental for shoes are more than the game fees. Management must look into this for cutting down the rental cost. Also enjoy the sport on big screen. But worth visiting the place.

The service is good and the food is excellent. We had a safe distance between everyone and the workers were very cooperative with us.

So many lanes, and it's really nice inside. A really good selection of ball weights and they were all in good condition. The have many specials on different nights of the week, so look for those. We bowled two games each and had a great time. If you have a military discount, it will save you a lot of money.

Nice location with good food and drinks. However the bowling system needs some maintenance. My group was unfortunately assigned to a lane with recurrent disruptive technical issues! The display boards too are not super fancy like you would find in most new generation Bowling Centers. We were stuck in a single game all along: no challenges, no alternative games, no means to edit players etc

Went with family and had a great evening. The staff was all so nice and the place is clean . We had a great evening.

Nice alley. The lanes are manicured well and everyone was nice and accommodating even though they were very busy at the time we got there.

Been a while since I went bowling but had a great time. Nice lanes , nice staff , cheap beer

We had alot of fun, the price was descent, the area is nice, and the place wasn't busy as we went early. The arcade game are fun too.

Buttons for our lane kiosk didn't work so we couldn't put our names in. Arcade was underwhelming. Food was pretty decent. I feel like for the cost it should be a much better experience.

Me and my boyfriend wanted to come here to go bowling for his birthday, and loved how close this is to our house. We went to reserve a time and realized the tickets were $40 a person?so $80 for what they said would be an hour and a half. For two people! That's absolutely insane! That is basically theft. They are profiting so much when they could be charging a lot less. Just so they can put money in their own pockets. And by looking at photos and reviews it's just like any other bowling alley. I've never pai

Awesome bowling alley. Very friendly staff. I like the slightly older school feel.

Tried to order drinks. Have talked with bar tender multiple times. 1.5 hrs no drinks. Ummm

Go here, they have all the lanes, food, and tons of fun for family of all ages. Took my 3 & 4 year old, had a blast!

This place is more expensive than I expected. The food is nothing special. The soda machine and lemonade were broken.

You can't really advertise glow bowling if you're not having it on a Saturday due to a league. If we would have known we would?ve gone somewhere else. The league has been there since 7pm and it's 11:52pm and we have yet to glow bowl. False advertising. WE JUST PAID $114 for 3 people FOR 4 games. YOU PAY $8 per person per game and $6 for shoe rentals per game. DO NOT GO HERE.

Huge bowling alley, didn't count the lanes but even on a league night we had no problem getting a lane. Overall it's clean and well maintained, the food/drink ordering tablets at the lanes were nice. The unlimited bowling deal with shoes was a great value, we got 4 games in which was more than enough. My only complaint-I didn't like that there was no seating at the lanes, it's all tables and chairs a good 10ft behind. It just added a little bit of discomfort leaving my drink and items unattended behind me.

Decent facilities, large number of lanes, relatively clean, rental shoes well maintained, arcade my kids loved. Games and shoe rental is expensive. Food service counter is closed but operational. You have to wait in a long line with other people trying to get a lane in order to purchase food. The food service counter keeps their lights off and has one person, most likely the manager, working on 7 pending orders by himself, in the dark. Took an hour to deliver nachos and loaded fries and a kids hotdog. The c

We had our daughter's birthday party here. It was an amazing experience. The food they catered was quite good and the employees were very friendly.

Previous experiences have been good. But today (05/27/2024) was definitely not one. Usually, I went with colleagues and friends. First time, took my family there. The receptionist/cashier guy didn't have any patience to answer my question regarding kids bowling option. He just showed some other lane and said "do like that". I didn't know the name for kids bowling ramp. I was trying to ask for a ramp pointing to one lane. But with his impatient behavior, he said "I don't know what you are asking for? Go and

OVERPRICED. 2 games for 4 people (only used 1 lane) cost $109. The pricing when we checked in was explained as being FAR less expensive then upon check out was explained very differently. The drinks were also very overpriced. Will never return.

Whatever you do, don't reserve your lane ahead of time on their website. They will charge you nearly 3x the amount you would pay if you walked in & pretend like they can't honor the deals that are offered on a weekly basis at the alley itself because it's an "external booking system" called Bowlero. And Bowlero customer support won't help you after the fact either. For instance, in my image attached you can see that it would cost ~$55 on a monday night for 4 people, but I paid $138 to reserve my lane onlin

Venture capitalists who don't know how to run a business. They bought out the old ownership and the food and beverage service of this place is a joke. We play leagues on Thursday, entire place is packed and you have only one bartender and no servers.

Worst bowling alley ever. Went there and the entire place was empty minus one group bowling. There was a kid in a wheelchair who was like permanently there and ready to bowl, and the staff put us right next to their group and any time anybody went to bowl we had to walk around him. I don't blame the kid in the wheelchair at all. Even without the wheelchair we had to walk around--- it was pure incompetency to put us next to each other. Literally every other lane was empty. Some people like to have private c

We purchased summer passes for our family, which are a great value! We came on Tuesday and Friday in one week and our boys, 7 and 4 years old, loved it! Both times it was not crowded. They had music playing and the staff was helpful getting the bumpers set up for us. When we came back on Friday, the lane we were assigned had a dirty table where people had eaten earlier. We had to sit at the table for the next lane over and no one cleared the dirty table the entire time we were there. We ordered food fr

I had a great cowork visit and we had a ball

The shoes and bowling were perfect. I did not like the open table seating- we could not get the table closest to our lane so we spent a lot of time walking back and forth to bowl? too pricey for the inconvenient seating arrangement. Still, we had fun!

It was my daughter's 5th birthday and we got there at 5 not realizing that open bowl didn't start until 6. We decided to wait and let the kids play in the arcade which was fine. When 6:00 comes around the guy says another 10 minutes, then after that another 20. They should have been upfront in the first place and not made us wait around for nothing. The workers didn't seem to care or want our business so we left after an hour and a half without bowling.

Great bowling alley. The staff were super friendly and the food was great. The lanes were a bit slick but I suppose that may have helped with a few strikes. ;)

A little outdated but it's ok. It definitely need a bit of an update/upgrade. Drinks are also a little weak/watered down The staff is ok not great but definitely not bad at all For the most part all the mechanics worked but sometimes slower on certain lanes that have clearly been there for a while. I also don't understand why they have an extra hole on all of their loaner balls verses only having them on a few only

Nice personnel working here. A little pricey depending on when you go. Lanes are oily, crazy oily even on weekends. Had an issue getting any balls to hook but it's a learning experience! Clean, friendly, can't beat it

Great New Year Eve family package! Excellent service.

Crowded AF and maybe I'm old school but the table setup was confusing and we ended up at the wrong table and it was awkward and uncomfortable. We went for unlimited bowling but the lane broke in the first game and they admitted to being understaffed and gave us free games and never fixed the lane. So we never really got to do much bowling just a promise to later. Update went back to use them and was told I can't use them all at the same time but he will allow it and I had to pay for shoes again. Not go

I really enjoyed bowling here with my bowling league through work! The staff is really great and attentive and super chill and just friendly overall. Even when they were slammed they always did their best delivering food and drinks and just went out of there way to be really nice and enhance the fun ?? I always was so embarrassed when a ball got stuck on the gutter or maybe I got a pin stuck but they never made me feel bad about it or like I was a nuisance so thank you! I always love bowling here and it was

Bowling shop is absolutely amazing. But that's a separate review. I asked the attendant when the last time the lanes were oiled and the girl told me 2 days ago. So if you're a casual bowler with a decent average this is not the bowling alley to come to.

Nice place to spend a couple of hours with family and friends. Veggie pizza over here is yummy.

This was a much needed break from the house since the start of the pandemic The staff was very respectful. Continues help with my whole crew there. Crystal was a very amazing person. Very sweet to my son the whole time. I have to say, this place is the best place to go for a any type of bowling event. Clean, Courteous, helpful, friendly and truly amazing place. This is the best place to be during this pandemic

I'd probably give this facility 2.5 stars, but I'll be nice and round it up to 3. The Good - Quantity: I've had zero problem getting a lane immediately whenever I've gone. - Scorekeeping: The monitors above the lanes provide more details, like the speed of your ball, than most others I've seen. - Help: I haven't needed assistance from employees yet, but they've seemed nice, so until proven otherwise, I'll give them the benefit of the doubt. - Options: If you don't own a ball of your own, there are plenty a

We had a group sports event outing here and could not have been happier. The girls had fun bowling and in the arcade. The staff could not have been more accommodating , friendly, and fun. Best team event in Columbus!!!

It's always a fun time to bowl here. They have amazing deals throughout the week. The food is perfect for the bowling alley setting and the staff are incredibly nice and friendly. Dom is especially fun to talk to. He makes sure to say hi while on his way to help out someone else. No matter if you take bowling seriously or just for fun it's always a good night at AMF Sawmill Lanes.

Staff wanted nothing to do with helping or working. And the equipment doesn't work

My family and I decided to go bowling on Friday evening. We were a little nervous with it being a holiday weekend. We couldn't figure out how to order food and drinks but Dominique stepped in and helped us figure it out. He had a great attitude. The drinks were great and my kids had fun. Great time!

Great experience bowling here. The ambience is pretty chill and the games were smooth. Would love to come back!

Super rude manager. Person I was with was trying to get new shoes and he was very short and treated her like an inconvenience. Fun place, but I don't think we will be back.

Hadn't done family bowling in a couple years, so checked out AMF(bowlero) Sawmill for Friday evening March 15th. Was going to be around $130 for an hour for bowling and shoes for 4. Went to Star Lanes Polaris instead for $70. Star Lanes was nice, modern, great service and fair prices for food and drinks! Not sure how AMF can stay in business when the same or better experience is nearly half the price 20 minutes away?

The place was clean and staff was nice. The rental shoes were AWFUL. Like I get they are supposed to slide a bit but it was like being lubed up and rolled across an ice rink, naked. Bring your own shoes or you will have a bad time.

Wonderful bowling experience! The center was clean, fun and the service was impeccable. Our group really enjoyed itself. We would highly recommend partaking in America?s past time at this center. Thank you to the staff for making family memories for our gathering. We will return soon.

Crowded lanes.. Good to spend time and play..good food items..

Bowling is good. Lanes are nice and everything runs smooth. Service was rough as the place was packed, every lane was full of bowlers as it was unlimited bowling night. However, you would think they would have more than one server working when there is an event going on. The poor lady did her best but obviously she couldn't keep up with every table. She doesn't deserve any blame for the lame night as having just one server working on a busy night is just poor management. I ordered Buffalo wings and I trust

Came here for bowling with a youth group from my church. The staff and crew were excellent! One of the best bowling spots in the city

Came in to get a pair of lanes to practice and kill some time. Dom at the front desk was super helpful in getting me set up. Talked to me about some of the Leagues they offer. The beer was cold, Lori the bartender was very friendly and made it a point to follow up when my drink was getting low. Great place to relax and practice for both recreational and competitive bowlers.

Visited Dublin to hangout with my brother and his wife. Came to Sawmill to relax and knock down some pins. Front desk staff was super friendly and helpful in getting us a lane. They were really busy, so we were asked to sit in the bar until our lanes were available. Dom was SUPER professional and helpful with setting us up. Great atmosphere, 10/10 would bowl here again.

Mixed reviews. Great atmosphere, good bowling, bar, food, pool tables, arcade, and always has been a nice place to catch up with friends. However, they only get three stars from me after tonight. They can blame the loss of two stars to the geriatric Dr. Phil knockoff if Dr. Phil had a full head of gray rat hair. This ?bartender? charged me nearly $40 for some games of pool. I've never been charged for pool games at this place and I've played pool here many times. Dr. Phony had all the excuses in the book th

Austin was an AMAZING help during our company party! We had overbooked for the amount of people and Austin was able to help us figure out what we needed to do to fix everything. The party hosts were attentive and and we never ran out of food and drink! But, again, Big shout out to Austin helping us out!

We had a private event here. Some of the staff were super nice but others were rude. The viewing experience itself was good. The lanes were clean, there were soo many balls to choose from and each lane had a table. The soda and pizza were mediocre. But I would recommend if you are just here to play bowling and go to the arcade! Good indoor activity for Ohio when it is rainy outside.

We like to visit different bowling alleys each week. We really wanted to like it here but that was not the case unfortunately. The lanes were really cramped and the oil was heavy. The snack bar wasn't staffed to take orders. You had to go to the front desk to order drinks or food and the line was long with people coming in to check-in to bowl already. Two thirds of the lanes had no lighting except a black light and you could not even see lane markers. Made for a rough bowling experience. The one positive i

Clean, friendly staff. Nice little arcade with newer games. Bar and food are good. Good variety of everything to choose, though expensive. Lanes are very well kept and large screens are easy to read. Big TVs easily seen from any lane to keep an eye on other sports, or whatever they have on.

This place is mid. Alcohol is overpriced, bowl lanes are out dated/low quality. You're better off going out to Hilliard and bowling at ten pin for a better experience.

Listen this place was amazing. We went on a 2.22 Tuesday, which is an amazing deal. 2.22/ game/ player. + 4.97 show rental (9pm-12am) the 2.22 tacos were amazing. The 2.22 long islands were soooooo good. The staff was so friendly. And overall we had a really great experience in a clean, hype atmosphere. Can't wait to go another Tuesday

This is a nice bowling alley. I came with friends on Saturday night for the first time. They were clearly understaffed and very busy. We had no idea what to expect. Despite that, Dominique was very helpful and made sure we had a great experience.

The pricing was pretty good. Played three games with a group on a Friday night. The cost was less than $25.00 including my bowling shoes. Not bad for a night out with friends. The staff was pretty nice and were helpful in figuring out who pays what. It wasn't overly crowded either. All in all it was pretty good!

My girlfriend and I tried to go here last Tuesday night for a date night. It was not a good experience. The drinks we were served from the bar tasted like lightly sweetened water. People were packed very closely to bowl. We were placed right next to a large group of unsupervised children that frequently crossed into our area, a few times nearly running into us before we went to bowl. For some reason they have large projector screen going right next to the lanes? This makes it quite difficult to focus on act

Do NOT book online for a reservation. You will have a two hour minimum and it's overpriced. We booked, and when I called back to add a person, we ended up with two lanes and a quote of $80-$90 for the two hours. Turned out to be significantly more than that charged to my card. One of the lanes broke down repeatedly, but they shut us down after two hours anyway, in the middle of a game. Find a better option.

Had to update my previous 5 star review and drop it down to 2 stars. We used to be regulars here until they changed the hours and the prices.... Most of the bowling specials start at 9pm-close during the week which is ridiculous when they used to start at 6pm-7pm till close. I don't mind the change in price as much but the fact that they pushed the times back is annoying because people have jobs and they offer no type of daytime specials at all. I'll continue to go to The Palace which is a farther drive bu

Decent lanes. Slightly expensive bowling rates. Food is outrageously priced but the menu is large and the food is fine(killer fries). Service can be slow at time but the wait staff is nice. All around a very clean bowling alley with some arcade games. These is a pool table in the bar area. They have a small pro-shop that is fairly intimidating to a new bowler.

I feel like they charge entirely too much for children to bowl on the weekend. They had technical issues and they shut our lane off twice before we could finish our games that we paid for. Two games a piece for two kids in school should not cost $45!

What a FANTASTIC for Birthday parties!! We just hosted about 15 people for our 2 years olds birthday party and let me tell you, it was fun for all!! The staff was super friendly and helpful, the manager was very tentative and hands on, the venue was clean and the food was really good!! The decor on the food table was very cute as well and even had a sign on it with our last name (nice personal touch). Thank you Sawmill Lanes for such a fun memorable afternoon!

Price for playing is decent. But it does feel very outdated, and they will charge you more than $5 dollars for a bottle of gatorade.

Went with my family on a Saturday at around 5pm. We walked in to find the place mostly empty with only a few games in use. Once we got to the counter, the two staff members behind the counter ignored us for five minutes before telling us that we could not bowl because they were full until 11pm. We left and I tried to call to get a better explanation of what happened, but after listening to a menu for three minutes and finally getting to the option to talk to a representative, the phone was picked up and the

Fun place to meet for any gathering that requires a variety of activities such as bowling and gaming. The bowling is automated and consist of large screens. The food is good with pizza being their flagship menu item. The inside is spacious and the outside has plenty of parking. And if parents want to drop kids off...there are several surrounding businesses and shops to keep them occupied until pick-up time. GO...HAVE FUN!!

Great place to have fun.

TERRIBLE MANAGEMENT! This place doesn't even rate one star. I have been a year around (summer and winter) league bowler here for the past 12 years. Last summer we bowled in a league which was run by the bowling center. Every bowler on the league was promised a new bowling ball at the end of the season which never happened. We were asked on two occasions to provide our contact information so we would receive information to pick up our ball. When we never received the ball, I inquired with the manager a

Got a very good deal on Groupon....perfect joint for families on the weekend..2 hrs worth the fun.. great way to spend sometime wuth family.. rest rooms were clean.. food was expensive.. the bumper in the lanes had to be manually lifted, which is painful ..but overall would definitely recommend

Facility is clean, staff is great, new shoes, new balls, and the lanes are in great condition. Not sure how this place makes money because every other place I've been too is a bit worn on the edges. Will be back.

Dom and Lori did a really great job running the place. They were everywhere helping people with food drinks and bowling problems in a surprisingly timely fashion considering it seemed like just the 2 of them on a packed Saturday night. They did it all with a great altitude too super friendly would highly recommend

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s it like visiting an arcade today?

It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.

Is it better to go alone or with friends?

Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.

What should I bring to an arcade?

Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.

What’s the best time to visit an arcade?

Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.

Can I meet new people at arcades?

Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.

Are arcades still just for kids?

Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.

Are there events or tournaments I can join?

Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.

What if I’m not great at arcade games?

No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”

Are pool tables in arcades still good in this modern age?

Yes, pool tables in arcades remain a fantastic draw in 2025! Games like 8-ball or 9-ball offer tactile, skill-based fun that blends strategy and precision.
