First of all Have not Beene here since it used to be zodos so much has changed. Whenever we would come it was just to watch the games at the bar this time we decided to bowl, wait wasn't that bad about 15 mins. Not gonnna lie we basically are the worst bowlers alive haha. We struggled and at one point Jason the mechanic who was removing a ball stuck on another lane came by after and asked us how it was going, we told him we sucked and he decided to give us some quick pointer and the rest of the game and the
Today it was my kids first time bowling, when we arrived there was maybe 6 or 8 people ahead of us, we wait patiently and my daughter and son were so excited, when it was our turn for being help. I asked the young lady behind the counter (Cindy) for two season passes for my kids. Cindy apologized and said: "I'm sorry our system is down and we can't sell any season passes at the moment, if you like to come back later." My four year old was about to start crying when I told her that we might have to come back
We had a blast here. We play 3 rounds party of six. Kids will enjoyed Arcade. Clean and well maintained bowling alley. Food was great. Fire pizza oven. You will need a wrist band for alcohol. Large parking lot. Clean restroom. Staff where friendly.
We were a large group, it was so fun. The only issue is if you go before dinner time, the bar and food counter are both closes.
I never write reviews, but I wanted to show appreciation for Sydney, because she was nothing short of amazing. I reserved a lane for a Friday night, celebrating my gf's birthday. I failed to plan ahead and order the "birthday package", which I discovered was a thing Bowlero offers once I showed up and saw the lane next to ours all decorated with the person's name etc. I started asking around to see if I could get our two lanes decorated and Sydney offered to help me out. She was so so helpful, super friend
Today we were 4 friends, we played 8 games, we drink 2 small beers, 2 pitchers, 1 watermelon vodka drink, 1 hamburger and 4 pairs of shoes, a waitress charged us $142 for what we consumed in food and drinks and the cashier charged us almost $300 more for 8 games and $25 for 4 pairs of shoes, I don't know if the price is normal but I feel like $300 for 8 games was too much. $467 it's a god price? First and last time going.
Super fun atmosphere, bartenders here kick a$$!!! It's a super face paced and busy place. Young college crowd and locals. I'm just passing thru town and stopped I'm to watch the Dodgers game, I had fun.
We went on a Wednesday afternoon, just after they opened at 2pm. Service was great, and friendly. There were quite a few open lanes, which filled while we were there. Fees on this day were per person per game. No happy hour, but they had afew drink specials. We got a pizza and some chicken strips. No complaints. Gaming arcade is no longer token and paper ticket based. It's all via a Bowlero rechargeable card. The arcade card costs $2, so don't toss it if you think you'll be back for more arcade gaming. Mone
What a situation last night... a man walked in with a gun in a holster on his hip in plain sight. There were still children around and it was overall a difficult sight to see. The general manager Kevin swooped into action immediately and called the police who were able to remove him from the bowling alley. Thank you so much Kevin for keeping me and my grandchildren safe!
Don't come here if you want to be judged for what you have on or for what you do my wife and I was the in the arcade and I got judged just because I was in my 2 amendment right and it was in a holster btw my hand wasn't even on it I was too busy playing the game then all I know I got rush by police and got put in handcuffs and even after all that the GM and/ or anyone that work there would even put the credit back on the card therefore I hope this place gets ether new management and new team or just get shu
Waited over an hour to bowl, only to be told there were no lanes?despite many sitting empty. No explanation while we waited. Staff were short, curt, and standoffish. Unprofessional and not worth the time. Skip it.
This place sucks. Bowling lane was broken during my visit and I asked for a partial refund and they gave me a runaround on a refund. Still not sure if is a case of dishonesty or incompetence.. Most expensive bowling I've ever done and somehow the worst experience. Not sure how that works but it seems they've got a good scam running, kudos to them!
Funnest place to interact with you r kid or kiddos!!!
I've gone to Bowlero multiple times and never have had an issue until today. We visited Bowlero for their advertised unlimited bowling deal at $16.99. However, after finishing our game, we noticed the charge was higher than expected. When we inquired, we were told that due to the long wait times, they had canceled the unlimited bowling promotion. Before joining the waitlist, I specifically asked if the $16.99 unlimited bowling deal was available, and they confirmed it. Keep in mind they never told us they c
Bowling side is fine. Restaurant side has much to be desired. So hard to get an order in. Employees not doing much including the manager even tho it wasn't that busy. You will have to chase them down. They're busy watching TV or on their phones. Food came out cold. Only had one young waitress who seemed to be running everywhere getting everyone's orders. This is not fair for her. And I know the manager saw me trying to get her attention so to be ignored and have to constantly wait says alot about her manage
Wonderful service. Everyone treated our group amazing! The lady that was working the arcade really made our night, she treated all the kids so special. Thank you for a wonderful evening!
Bowlero was awesome, my daughter and I had a great time playing games including bowling. The drinks were also good. I recommend it
The atmosphere is great. The food was delicious, and the service was great. Great arcade and great place to take the kids
Had my daughter's bday party there. Staff was awesome, place was really clean, food was good....price was WAY more reasonable than previous "Zodo's" was for food and bowling. You'll spend a small fortune on token cards tho...same as any other arcade. We had a blast and will definitely go back!
update* Over a week has passed since posting the below review. You will notice that most of the one star reviews will have someone respond and then ask you to go to there site so they can ?investigate?? well. Guess what . No word, no form of communication. No one cares. Thanks for being the worst part of our day guys? fake kindness is worse than rudeness. My family and I love this place. However, the manager who was here on 9/8 at 1pm that would not give her name to us when we asked, told us that our 1:30
We have gotten a few meals from Zodo's during quarantine, and everything has been awesome!! Extremely fast, fabulous prices and family deals, and delicious. This local business has also been generous to our medical community during this time, and has donated lots of yummies! Can't wait to go back to normal and come in for more fun.
We had a Great time with our Lil Family. The Arcade was Super fun. The food was tasty honey BBQ flavored boneless hot wings. Lemonade taste like real lemons were incorporated. My 6 year young BabyGurl Angelinah Forever loved her side of fries and pizza. Momma was happy BabyGurls as well. God is good and All is well. The Staff were Really friendly and professional. Security was there and very Nice and Professional. Overall we had a Great Experience first time since the Pandemic that we came here at Zodos. Bl
Wonderful. They recently changed management and still training new hires. Great bowling experience. Food was solid. The manager Sydney went out of her way to make the visit top notch!
Waited 3 hours and they didn't give us a lane even though there were clearly lanes not being used. Better when it was zodos
Filthy, dirty! Bathrooms were disgusting! We were having an event there, we got there early to set up, I went to the desk to see if someone could clean the bathrooms and make sure there was toilet paper as there was NONE, this was before they open! I was told it wasn't his job!
Hey, so I went to the bowling alley and it was pretty fun, but the games were expensive and the pizza wasn't that great. I think the new owners are not doing a good job compared to the old Zodos. I think they're getting their pizza ingredients from Albertsons down the street. You should just go to Rusty's across the street and then come here for the bowling. They have a lot of new lights and screens, and the games are expensive, but the bowling is still fun. It used to be much better though. I guess we just
Management needs to up there game. We enjoy bringing the grandsons. The service is inadequate, the website is unfriendly. Sad...J.Parsons
They closed when they said they should be open this ruined my best friends birthday oarty
PSA avoid the online food ordering if you can. Or just avoid the food. The food was mediocre at best. They have menus that tell you to order online, but apparently the system is finicky and they'd rather you order at the bar. I should?ve asked for a refund for the food upgrades I paid for and did not receive. At least the facility seemed clean.
Home town bowling alley with a large bar area, boasting dozens of beers on tap and serving the typical assortment of bar food. There's an arcade for the kids and party rooms for rent.
Despite the decline in quality since Bowlero's takeover, Clay Boghossian's exceptional customer service never fails to impress me whenever I come to bowl. He is attentive, efficient, and personable, and always goes above and beyond to meet my needs. If only all employees were as understanding and helpful as him - watch out for Clay!
The summer pass is worth it. I would avoid 6:00pm or around that time because of leagues. Outside of the league times is a great deal! Beer is a little pricey but I guess they have to make their money. Overall, I enjoy myself when I go and play.
Better than your average bowling spot... outstanding beers have a Davy Dark!!! Western BBQ Bacon Burger on point... overall happy camper!!!
Bowlero Santa Barbara is a major disappointment. The high staff turnover is indicative of deeper issues, with new employees cycling through almost daily and contributing to inconsistent service. The remaining staff often appear rude and unhelpful, and it's evident that the previous, more personable management has left, resulting in a poorly managed and impersonal experience. The food is lackluster, with no healthy options, and the prices are excessively high. The only remnant of the former Zodo?s is the Wi
SHANE is an incredible manager! I walked in and he knew exactly who I was and why I was coming. He made my sons Spencer?s birthday seamless with how attentive, kind and informative he was. Bowlero could use 10 more of him!!!!!
Staff is always friendly and professional. Food and drinks are reasonably priced. The arcade is a big hit with my kids. Good family spot.
Disappointment with Recent Changes at Bowlero Santa Barbara: I am writing to express my deep disappointment with the recent decision to fire the General Manager at Bowlero Santa Barbara. As a long-time patron of the bowling alley, formerly known as Zodos, I have seen this center evolve over the years, but the recent changes have been particularly disheartening. The General Manager, a local and the last remaining connection to the beloved Zodos era, was more than just an employee; they were a cornerstone o
A nice facelift to the Zoddo's that used to be there. The place was clean, the staff was friendly and helpful, but in full disclosure, we arrived 10 minutes after they opened so there weren't too many people there. The only things that were a little hard to swallow were the prices across the board... But with the economy these days, it's understandable.
Great customer service. Michael was awesome
Lots of fun. Good food and drinks. A little bit busy on the weekends but still a great time. They offer great kids party packages here.
The new GM, Charity, reached out to the community for feedback and thought that was so special to see someone working for corporate really care. It was her post that brought me back and see first hand the change in customer service and the environment is changing in a positive way that felt more local. My family will definitely be back as the arcade looks incredible.
Took our group here for an excursion and it was awesome. Super friendly staff and a great experience all around. I would highly recommend for any group or individual. Update: the prices have gotten ridiculous. What used to be an affordable outing has become outrageously expensive. My last proposal for a group of 40 on a weekday night was $1800.
Leaving this review because honestly, I feel really bad for what happened to the league bowlers. Upon watching the last couple of games their lanes restarted and a lot of the guys you could see on their face were super upset as they were three frames away from land sliding their competition. What sucks the most was that the person manager who did it didn't want to take any accountability for her actions, which I can see was making others even more upset. This level of poor handling of the situation is unacce
Great place for bowling and arcade. Mainly fried food so wish there were better options. The staff is really friendly.
Very fun place! I prefer the old vintage vibe for bowling alleys, but this place is good. Has a nice arcade, is good for kids B-Day parties. Food/drink is good enough, what you would expect. My main complaint is that there are just too many TVs and video projectors EVERYWHERE. Everywhere you look, you can't get away from them. The music videos are OK, but they project tiktok videos really huge directly over the pins at the end of the lanes. Forget about bowling a good game, because you will be completely di
I had a great time at Zodo?s! My friends and I came to celebrate a birthday for a coworker and had a blast. The service was fantastic and everyone was so kind. I especially love the remodel and how comfortable the seats are and how much room there is at the lanes! Will definitely be back!
Awesome staff, check the deals before you go. They have some really good ones for the arcade.
We had a blast. Great service, great accommodations, and great atmosphere. We went later in the evening so there was a light crowd.
The remodel is really nice. Although they always seem to be understaffed. And when did bowling get so expensive?! Still, we always have a really great time here. Food is better that's you'd expect and a decent bar.
I usually enjoy coming here, but the last 3 times I've gone the lanes have been so dry it's borderline unusable. Just disappointed. I love the staff and the food is always solid
Zodo?s USED to be the best. It was so fun to be there, the atmosphere was great, the arcade was fun, but NOW? well. After it was bought out, the prices are crazy. It's not longer a place you can just casually go to have some fun, it's a splurge. Even the arcade prices are insane, it's like $2 per game. I mean WHAT??? My friend and I played 3 bowling rounds, totaling probably 30 minutes overall, and it cost about $65. Just really disappointing overall given how great it used to be.
UPDATE 9/5/21: Met up with friends last night. It took forever to get menus. The server had to go and print more. Drinks took forever to be delivered. They were out of 2 drinks we ordered but were not told for about 20 minutes and we had to order something else. The menu is different, some items like the sliders we used to order are gone. We thought we would stick with our go-tos: wings, potato skins, and garlic fries. Extremely disappointed. The quality of the food was not good. Nowhere near what it used
Awesome birthday party for a 5-year old! Love Zodo's!
$1.3k Bill for a kids Bday Party The woman assisting us was constantly trying to upsell us on every purchase. It felt very corporate and icky. We definitely won't be going back. Posting this review as a heads up to anyone else thinking of visiting Bowlers for any type of celebration.
They have really updated/remodeled! It all looks great, but.... We recently went there just to check out the remodeled arcade and it looks great! There's alot of new and fun games, happy they kept some of the old games. It looked like they really downgraded on the prize options though. That disappointed my 7 year old cuz he would save up all his points over time to get a better prize but now there isn't anything worth saving for. The room is bigger now with more space but still crowded and tight. We went bo
Definitely DID NOT DISAPPOINT! I've been going to Zodo's for years. My wife and I both bowled on leagues and have tons of love and adoration of how things were several years ago. We moved to another state a few years back and were extremely excited to visit Goleta and as such we scheduled two separate events during our vacation. Our first event was a corporate party with my bosses and their bosses - so the stakes were pretty high. Not only was the food very good but the service was absolutely incredible.
We are a local family, and have been Zodo's customers for a long time. We always loved the place, but now that it's under new management it's so expensive that we decided not go back again! We noticed the place was really quiet for a Friday night, and after spending a small fortune for mediocre food and bowling for 5 people for an hour I understand why the place is empty. It's too bad! The place used to be packed, and it was affordable but not anymore. Won't be returning!
My previous review was 5 stars but new corporate ownership changed so many of the things that made Zodo's great, so I have to drop that down to 1. The staff is spectacular, especially Charity, and I've always gotten stellar service and became recognizable simply because of how often we'd go there for the best pizza and wings in town. We won't be going again now that the menu has changed. New ownership made a terrible decision and has ruined a Santa Barbara staple of great food, great service, great fun.
A friend and I used to visit Zodo's for lunch every few weeks over a period of years. Then Covid intervened. We went back for the first time in two years today. The bar was empty with no serving staff. I went to the front desk where a very helpful lady explained that Zodo's doesn't usually open until later in the afternoon but that she would get us anything from the menu that we wanted. She was as good as her word and arranged for sandwiches and beer. The food and beer was good, if not exceptional, but the
Exceeded Our expectations. It was a very fun time and the staff was very attentive! A special shout out for great service from Ray, Alex, and Sam!! Thanks again! We'll be coming back.
Fine but weird smell
Sat down for some food 5 feet from the server and was ignored for 20 minutes until I left. Other servers walked right by too. It was only me and one other couple in the entire restaurant and the server spent the time chatting. Very unprofessional, or maybe they don't serve my kind? Still left a quarter as a tip.. 10,000%+ tip!! Sucks? this placed used to be great. Was coming here for years but now they won't even take my money.
Zodo's has been around for as long as I can remember - it's a staple in this town. They've grown tremendously over the years and I've never been more impressed than I am now! The new, high-tech screens, way better food and drinks and they are seriously improving the arcade as they focus more on entertainment. One thing that hasn't changed is the customer service. The people who work there really take the time to make sure you're having fun! I remember a party I planned for my daughter a few years ago and it
15 minutes to get a beer. I was the only one there. Thanks new ownership. To be fair, they did comp me the beer. They were super short-staffed. But that's a ownership problem. I hope they fix this. We would often come here on a moments notice. Prices has skyrocketed. $45 for a family of 4 to bowl one game is ridiculous. Also, the not so great but palatable food is no longer good and cost more. Sad face
Under new management which seems at this point like a HUGE bummer. EVERYTHING went up in price to the point where it just doesn't make sense to go here. None of it seems reasonable. At this cost I may as well take the family to Disneyland. However, it is not even worth going here for beers now. Also, it seems like if you are going to charge premium prices you should at least deliver a premium experience, which they did not. We went on a hot day and we were expecting air conditioning which was not working
Great family environment, Bar and food
This was my favorite place in the Santa Barbara area. New corporate ownership recently took over and gutted the menu, which arguably was the best in town. The cost has gone remarkably up for a considerably worse product. All but a couple of their staff has resigned. The only saving grace is the remaining general manager, Charity, who is awesome. Sadly, what was once a weekly trip for my family, and often large group of friends, is off the table. What a loss for me personally and for the whole community
Every time I go I get my hopes up that I'll enjoy myself, but every time I talk to the manager/hostess I feel like an ahole for wanting to bowl. I wish this location didnt feel like corporate hell. Edit:New staff are much friendlier and there are more deals now which makes it a lot more reasonable, still wish it was zodos but bowlero gets a 5/5 for now ??
The Zodo's burger was amazing!!! The bacon was incredible, the mushrooms and cheese melted in my mouth, the burger was cooked perfectly, the top of the brioche bun was picturesque, because of all the "fixings/garnish, the bottom of the bun was mush... no problem, I used my fork and knife and cleaned my plate... service/Jess.. top notch.. thank you for a wonderful meal/dining experience... !
Very pricey but lots of fun.
Went to bowl with my son to burn some time while my daughter was at a birthday party. Two games of bowling and shoes and we were charged 49 dollars. They now charge per person, per game. Not per lane, per hour. Never been to a bowling alley that charged in this way. Way to pricey for the experience, in my personal opinion.
Old guy with white hair was talking down on us while throwing our last balls. He was pushing us to get out of the store while others kept playing and they did not go to them.
See below for updated review.. We had the z supreme pizza and it was great. However we weren't sure if it was to have a sauce under the cheese. Can anyone answer that? UPDATE...7/16/2021 SOMETHING BAD HAPPENED 3 of us just walked in and were ignored as if we had not taken a shower in weeks. Nice young lady near the door politely said to take any table. 30 minutes of nothing after that. No server, no food no beer. So we took our money to the Creekside. All 3 of us agreed Zodos is off the list..
Great place to bowl and great selection of beers
Went there with my friends and had a good time! The bowling is a little bit expensive but the atmosphere was nice and the service was great! Our server Julie took good care of us and was super friendly and attentive. I would definitely come back just because of that!
Charity has done an incredible job of creating affordable options so everyone can access and enjoy the new Bowlero. This has become a go-to for our kids and their friends during early days and free nights. We're grateful to have them in the Goodland, and especially for Charity who has been the connection point between sort of upscale/swanky Bowlero and the Goodland.
Used to go here all the time for wings and bowling. Apparently there's new ownership and the menu really took a tanking. They have been cutting corners on the food now. The loaded potato skins are better at Jack in the Box now and down to the side of ranch is straight out of the hidden valley bottle now. Ew. Cross off another place I used to eat at. It's sad, zodo's down to the last few days of old management always was really good and great vibes.
Pretty darn good as far as bowling alleys go. There are a decent number of beers on tap. It can get a little crazy/busy on Friday and Saturday night with the wait lasting as long as an hour. But what's nice is that they've gone automated so you can check in and wait at the bar during late night happy hour from 9-11 while you're waiting on a Lane and then receive a text once it's ready.
I've been bowling for years and this is my favorite bowling alley by far. I'll admit, at certain times and on certain days the prices aren't great, especially because you pay per person per game. However, if you come when the prices are low then you can have a great bowling experience with clean and oiled lanes. The bar and food are also relatively well priced and high quality. I give four stars because the price system seems a little scummy and I prefer to pay by hour.
Uhhh food is honestly pretty bad now. Chicken sandwich is just tenders on a piece on a bread. "Cheesy bread" was something that looked like it came out of the microwave. No flavor at all. 15$ for hot wings. The place used to be great. Why did you give in to the big company.
Went on a Thursday, not busy, played just one game and it was fun. Staff is nice as well
Quality and management of this place is no good. It was better when it was zodos !! Honestly , take it from someone who's been here since zodos opened ! This is just another corporate place trying to take your money , super expensive. On top of that an employee gave me a very bad attitude and well the general manager had just the same attitude, this place will not last! Trust me , it's NOT WORTH IT ! It will never be the same, take your money somewhere else!
I am a Goleta local and zodos has always been my go-to! Recently under new management I've seen drastic changes (some good and some different) one thing remains impeccable and that's the service! The other night a lovely manager named ?Charity? was very helpful. She heard our concerns and took immediate action to ensure our visit was nothing short of perfect! Her kind demeanor and welcoming nature makes you feel like you're at home! The communication to patrons and her staff speaks volumes to her management
Fun place with some great bowling deals! Full bar, and their beer selection is awesome! Great parking and Hotels, drugstores and an Albertson's within walking distance. The food there is also very good! They also have a decent little arcade. Great for kids! I would avoid "College(Wed)Night" But I'm old!
Great place to hang out with friends! They have a full bar, small arcade, and great service. Everyone is friendly. The place itself is large and clean. Felt a little cramped bowling next to other people with little/not enough seating for everyone. The food is good, but nothing special.
COVID has done a number on businesses like this. I remember some great times at this bowling place about 10 years ago. Now they are understaffed and overpriced to make margins. What a shame. This is the type of business that needs to give great service first and then they will get great Customers. Let's see if corporate can figure it out
I wish I could say how nice Zodo's was, but I couldn't do anything once I got there. I arrived on a weeknight at around 6 without any sort of special promotion or anything going on to find that every single lane of the place was reserved for another 2 hours. There was no sign or anything telling us this or on their website, and when I was there (to make matters worse) NONE of the lanes were being used at all. I didn't want to wait two hours just to bowl, and because they rented out the entire place I had to
It was crowded so it made the lack of space between each lane feel extra tight. The food was good, especially the sliders. Those were awesome. We did have a run in with a couple different groups of people who didn't understand bowling etiquette.
It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.
Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.
Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.
Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.
Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.
Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.
Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.
No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
