5/14/25 started a summer league here on Wednesday afternoon. Last week was ok, today was ok however, for some stupid reason, they removed ALL the trash cans from the lanes! Guess they want people to just leave their trash on the tables then?... Ok fine, create more work for yourselves.. Then, there was a herd of buffalo (AKA kids from a middle school that came in presumably for a field trip) Running all over the place, screaming, coming over and completely drained our complementry water and iced tea..left t
I'd like to point out some areas where I am dissatisfied and disappointed. I took my family today to your Wichita Northrock Bowlero. I have been to smaller bowling lanes that have the capabilities to individually select a bowler who wants bumpers, rather than all get bumpers or none. This is according to your staff that either all persons per lane have to get bumpers or none. How does a corporation such as yours not have this technology? Your rule about Groupon customers not being able to split up lanes,
Bowling alley and small arcade that's been here for a long time, now operates as a Bowlero. Super nice staff and lots of lanes to play on, although during promotional hours it might be full. On Wednesday they have both half price arcade games and also the night strike with unlimited bowling after 8pm. Staff was great. Fun times, especially if you haven't been bowling in a while. I would recommend the Snickers milkshake too!
My experience visiting the bowlero restaurant was just trash today. First, my family and I sat at a table for 30 mins, and no one even addressed us or gave us service. I let someone know we needed to order. I was told another lady could help us. I had no idea who the lady she was saying could help us was. So I waited for her to point me in her direction. She just kept on working. She then noticed I was still standing there and offered to take our order. But everyone had to come over to where she was at to p
Brand new shoes, clean facilities, and the staff is amazing. The lanes and balls are in great shape. Cheap rates to have a family night.
Really upset with everything after they started management under bowlero. The bartenders in the restaurant portion don't know the name of basic cocktails and wait a minute to ask what we need when no one else is in the bar. Then when we ask for water, would rather count their tips then give us the water we asked for?. Like what the hell. Then the service during league is awful. Our small league never gets serviced?. And when we do it's takes 30 min for a water or they get our order wrong and never come ba
My family and I play on a league on Sunday evenings and we pay $40 every week, well the last two weeks the service has been horrible, no one asked if we needed any drinks or food and the pizza of week was never announced. I love this league, but the service has been horrible!
Tried to take my family in to eat on Sunday afternoon. Six of us sat down and waited for fifteen minutes without any service. Looked to have numerous employees who were conversing or something other than waiting on customers. Saw two kitchen staff with nothing to do. Will never attempt to eat at Bowlero again! It AJ?s!!
Walking in already impressed with the cleanliness the beautiful Christmas tree omg the staff up front and the manager omg she is the best funny and fixed our little issue right away still give them a 5 star food muah was delish atmosphere was great music and made our reservations special ????I'm from sanantonio Texas and this is better than any bowling alley from San antonio Texas they need to learn something from yall
Really well maintained, cool staff always ready to help. Better the cool a day before to the get lanes reserved it gets really busy in the evenings. I think they have tournaments or league?s on or the other day in week
Fun Place to bowl ! Drink and eat ! Love the smash burger
Let me tell you, first this bowling alley has 48 lanes. Next they have a wonderful gift shop and there is all kinds of cool stuff in there. They are also very friendly and nice. Their arcade is falling apart but other than that this is the place :)
We had our End of Season Party for our Baseball Team. They made everything so easy and the kids (and parents) had a fantastic time.
We have bowled the Southwestern Tournament here for at least 3 years. Love the center. It's close to hotels, shopping, and other dining facilities. We come every March. The staff is very friendly. We eat in the bar and restaurant. The food is great. They accommodated our large group. Will be going again next year.
I will absolutely NEVER set foot in a Bowlero ever again. Wife and I took my son there tonight because he wanted to go bowling. $45 for us to bowl 1 game. Yes 1 game. Over $5 for 1 glass of diet Pepsi so full ice that we each got a drink of it and it was gone. Next time I will take my $52 and go to Pizza Ranch. We will all eat, have our own Drinks, and my son will get to play in the arcade for over an hour and win prizes. In my opinion Bowlero is a rip off.
All kinds of things to eat. Very roomy. Friendly staff
I miss when this place actually had some lights on Its hard to bowl in the dark with some dark purple lights there little arcades fun tho if you bowl seriously tho don't come here you can't even see the arrows ??
As a regular league bowler I am saddened to leave this review. To be clear this is food and service related not bowling experience. I understand change due to new management, but my last two experiences have been abysmal. This last occasion I ordered a pizza and waited over an hour and half. Only receiving it when I made a fuss twice. My whole lane was served food 45 mins before two of our pizzas arrived. When asked if they were short staffed or overly busy in an attempt to be understanding. We were informe
We haven't been here since Bowlero took over ownership. The place received a nice face lift. The staff was friendly and attentive, and we enjoyed bowling here. This would be an ideal place to host a bowling birthday party, corporate event, or just a fine night out with friends, family, or a date night. Try the pizza, you will thank me later. Stop by the proshop just as you walk in and see Billy or his staff for any equipment or accessories. They know their stuff for sure!!
Great tournament house great atmosphere and friendly workers, looking forward to returning there in April
This is a really nice bowling alley...Drinks were good to and a reasonable price. I will be coming back. Northrock is one of the better bowling alleys.
Went here with a group of seven men after the State track meet. We got two lanes right away on a Saturday evening. The alley was clean and the bowling shoes looked next to new. We were greeted still after we sat down by an employee who took out pizza and drink orders. The pizza arrived in short order and was delicious. Really good! We enjoyed our time.
Went over to get a bowling ball for Rick. Wasn't too impressed with the service in the Pro Shop. The young man was very nice but he only asked Rick one question and had him put his thumb in and his fingers around this flat round thing. I assume it was to measure his span, he didn't say. Told him to come back in 15 minutes and he'd be done. And he was. Had Rick stick his hand in the ball then he boxed it up, we paid and left. That was totally different from what I've been used to, but I'm used to the old sc
Once was great now a work in progress, tvs don't work and now lane displays are out and nothing can be done till new owners do the remodel. Sad they did away with specials for league bowlers and are more focused on the occasional random bowlers.
Good pizza, and a great place to go if you want to play with your balls in public
Fun for the family, had wheel chair accessibility and the ball dropper for disabled individuals. So my brother and I were able to play, and my brother with cerebral palsy almost won if my sister hadn't scored a single point higher at the end.
This alley is huge! The staff are friendly. The Boarding Pass drink and Pretzels with cheese were both delicious, and they have changing tables in the men's rooms! There are TVs between the monitors, so you can watch whatever sports are on at the moment. Plenty of parking. Definitely recommend.
Nice clean bowling alley with Rocks Card shop and restaurant attached. Lighting is horrible and many fixtures are out in the bowling alley. Very dark and hard to see
This is one of the best examples of why a conglomerate "standardized" business model don't work. We paid a lot for a party package for 10 for 2 hours of bowling with 3 food items and drinks. The only service we got was for additional food. No customer service otherwise. When we went to the bar, we had to wait for service because there was only one bartender. The sitting areas in the bar were littered and unclean, and serval people were waiting for service. When we finally got service and tipped her, s
DO NOT SCAN THEIR QR CODE ON THEIR MENU FOR FOOD. YOU WILL NEVER RECEIVE YOUR FOOD, GET CHARGED FOR IT, AND THEN GET TOLD YOU WILL NOT BE REFUNDED BECAUSE "THE TRANSACTION NEVER WENT THROUGH ON THEIR END!" I AM PISSED OFF!!! $162 JUST GONE AND NEVER REFUNDED. MY BANK CANNOT REFUND UNTIL THE TRANSACTION IS CANCELED ON THEIR END, BUT THEY "NEVER RECEIVED IT"! DO NOT BOWL HERE, TERRIBLE SERVICE!!!! THE. WE WERE TOLD WE WOULD GET A FREE PIZZA FOR THE INCONVENIENCE. BOWLED AN ENTIRE GAME AND THE FREE PIZZA NEV
Fantastic bowling center that doesn't seem to have gone down hill with it being a Bowlero center.
Very clean and updated. Enjoy it alot.
Newer lanes and screens. Staff is always friendly. Great for recreational or league bowling. Pro shop is very helpful and has a wide selection
Update: we decided to try again recently and I am changing my review. Although it is pricey, it's no ones fault but the corporate company who bought out all the bowling alleys. The staff, the time before last, were super rude the moment we walked up to the counter. This time around, though, they were so nice, especially the manager who worked with us since our toddler was over bowling after our first of two games. Also, the gal who tended our lane went above and beyond to accommodate us. We will be back sim
Food and service was ok. Very limited menu. We were the only people in the bar/ restaurant. That is something I never experienced before it changed hands. I don't have a reson to go back.
I frankly think this place got super expensive for no reason when it changed from rock lanes. Everything was over priced, from the price of the bowling down to the price of the drink. We had to order everything off of our phone in order to get anything. Even ordering drinks online it still took a while for us to get them. They had so many issues when I went. Half of the lanes weren't working, the bumpers wouldn't go up, our game had to be reset like 3 times that night because, something was wrong with the m
The new staff at the go-Karts at the alley are not attentive at all. I spent $159 on food and a lane and 4 go kart tickets @ the old alley lane and couldn't even get someone to help us.
We watched the Rose Bowl football game at the Bolero Restaurant (formerly AJs). There weren't many people there and they turned the sound so we could hear the game. Nina was a great server bringing refills and checking on us for the whole game and overtime. We really enjoyed the cheesesteak sandwiches.
Great bowling facility. Only drawback is that it can be difficult if you are just hoping to walk in and get a lane since they host a lot of leagues and events. The regulars are very friendly and it has a welcoming atmosphere.
Not only was it not very busy for a Friday night the prices were pretty decent, and the staff was super accommodating. We tried another bowling alley before this and it was packed. Luckily due to the size of this alley there was still plenty of room for us and many others wanting to bowl on a Friday night in the summer. They have a lot of fun themes that you can choose on your TV screens, including an Angry Birds version of bowling unlike any other round of bowling I've ever played. It was great for all of
Rude and obnoxious staff, need to learn how to treat customers, who happens to pay your salary!!! Also don't as customers to cleanup areas, you have some staff employees todo that !!! What you going to do next? Have the customers oil the lanes and clean the bathrooms. Your Prices are outrageous!!!!!!
It's far too busy for my taste but I won't ding their score for that. Staff was prompt. It was clean even with the high volume of people, lanes have nice touch screen interfaces. Food looks great, arcade is fun. Overall good experience
Terrible shoes bad experience and bad staff and service. I would not recommend this bowling alley also, not vevy practical pricing per game, if you're gonna bowl don't go here they're about making an extra dollar. I will not be back here.
I've been coming here since I was a kid, and it's just as good as ever! The lanes are always solid, though call ahead as it can be tough to find a lane sometimes if they have league going. They have a great community too, and if you start to go on a regular basis, you'll start to recognize other regulars. Absolutely my favorite bowling alley in town!
The bowling center is nice as always but the kitchen staff was a complete disaster. I asked for the manager and was told it would be at least 20 minutes before they could get her. I took the issue into my own hands at that time. Still a nice center but they have a long way to go from a staffing standpoint.
Great place to bowl, but now that they got bought out the prices are ridiculous. $15 dollars for a mixed drink. $7 for a beer. The pizza is more expensive. Definitely went corporate. The Southwest tournament is still excellent and well ran through.
Family fun for ages 5&up. WE ENJOY IT
It is still a bowling alley but now that they have been purchased by a larger corporate conglomerate, it shows. Lots of staff but no one is particularly working hard (or fast-good grief we waited a looooong time for sub par service in the bar). The pricing has gone up considerably. It is still fun if you like to bowl. It just lost a lot of personality.
Bowlero hates their league bowlers... We are in a league, management decided to put a group of kids open bowling on the set of lanes next to us. (Which they're not supposed to do.) Before I stepped up to bowl a kid threw a ball and it hit the metal ball return cap in-between the lanes. Then on my next frame they walked up on me twice in the same frame! The place is always filthy, I've actually thought about bringing my own broom to clean our area and the approach before bowling. We will not be returning f
Very engaging, clean, and energetic atmosphere. They don't try and overload everyone with music or TVs, either. Staff was very helpful and handled the rush of customers with ease and patience. Fun place for a small group or 20 people.
$6.50 for a 16 Oz miller highlife! An 17.69 for a pitcher of bud light! Bowling prices are outrageous per game! And the bowling special is not what is advertised! Very expensive experience! However the manager (michael) at northrock lanes, was a very nice and down to earth guy!
My dad and I were just here for the PBA players championship and we were here all day since 9am the first ones thru the door had front row seats and they literally pushed us out to give our seats to ppl that didn't even pay. So if PBA Evers comes back to Wichita keep your money
Had family visiting from out of state. The kids like bowling! This is the second time we went bowling at North Rock Lanes when they come to visit, once a year. Never disappointed! We always have a good time and the kids have a blast. Great pizza, too!
Great place to enjoy bowling with friends and family
Excellent establishment
Every aspect of my experience was excellent!! Dwayne was amazing and a joy to be around! A.Js pizza was awesome. The Tuesday night bartender at the other bar was helpful and made great drinks. We will definitely be back. Service was absolutly five stars!!!!
Good place to bowl. Good specials. Good food and decent prices at the bar. Lots of little games to choose from on bowling, but too bad they didn't include 7/8/9 no tap and other games. Automatic bumpers are cool per player for the kids.
We stopped on our way to the movies for a quick bite. Service was good, friendly waitress great calsones. Overall for the short time we were there we enjoyed it, already made plans to go back and enjoy some bowling.
No national anthem? That's pathetic. You can't be too busy to show respect for our country at a school event. You can bet I won't be coming here to bowl.
This was a good bowling alley, one of the best in Wichita. But a new company bought it out and has been price hemorrhaging the hell out of the place. I can't say I recommend this place as it was fairly priced but now you have to pay an arm and a leg if you want to bowl.
After a questionable start in the customer service / food/bar service ?. Northrock ?bolero? has started pulling it together. For the last several weeks, bar service at the lanes has been great. Kudos to the staff for the great improvements.
caught won the highschool state championship there
The kids loved it. Kept them busy for a long time. They asked if I could do that again for them.
My favorite place to bowl. Staff is great and really friendly. They offer open bowling most times of the day and league bowl for the more advanced bowlers. Come on down. Update. Northrock lanes has been sold and the new management is a little less friendly.... less "mom and pop", more big business. It's definitely about the money. I enjoy an adult beverage when I bowl. I've uploaded a picture of a double Jim Beam. Doesn't look like a double to me! The overall bowling experience and fun has diminished. I
One of the best bowling facilities in the world. Great Food and atmosphere!
Man the service and food here is great let me tell you! the lanes are also very good to bowl on! Went with a couple friends and we had a blast, would recommend if you don't want to go to the Alley.
Since the new management changed they have switched their games from tickets to now cards. Unfortunately i saved up a ton of my tickets and i had around 6-7 grand, i was trying to save up for a special prize. today i went for the first time sense they switched management and they said i cant use my tickets and that ill have to buy a card. i'm very disappointed and wish i could be able to use them.
Enjoyed bowling here with the grandkids. The parking can be a hassle during peak hours. The staff was friendly, the facility was clean and we didn't have any issues. I would recommend this facility
48 Lanes of excitement the longest bowling alley I've ever seen in my life. And on one end is Rocco's professional card shop baseball, football hockey you name it. Lot of locals know Rocco is a good man even my dad dealt with him over 40 years ago.. off and on. It's called Rock dugout 3232 North Rock road. It was good to meet a legend.
The large Supreme pizza was very delicious. The staff was courteous and have excellent customer service skills. I also like the sodas "adultswim"that they have at the end of the night with the black lights and better music.
Don't come to this place hungry cause you will wait an hour for food and then have to find the manager (who doesn't seem professional) to get my money back and listen to his smart Alec comments.
I booked the KingPin Birthday party package. The event was fun but don't really count on being well taken care. Also be mindful of how much you are charged. I reserved three lanes but they about charged me for four. I had to constantly remind our host about different things the birthday package was supposed to include. There were a few items that we didn't receive that we should have gotten on the day of the event. I contacted Northrock later that day and was told they would get back in touch with me
Boy oh boy. Staff wonderful, and bowling staff very nice. To name a few Selena and kathy. Very helpful and willing to help bowlers out. The tournament is being run very well. My hat is off to those people. Very hard to run a tournament with no problems but staff willing to help out.
Bowling is always amazing for the school boys and girls. Clean nice facility but not to happy with snack bar prices. I will not be buying anything but a drink otherwise I would have given it 5 stars.
Northrock came to the rescue! My family had planned to go to another bowling alley for my daughter's birthday, but discovered upon arrival that they had cancelled open bowl for a private event (although I had called earlier in the week to check). So we took our cake, presents, and money to Northrock Lanes and managed to get a much better deal on the bowling too! We loved the huge pizza!
Nice staff, well maintained lanes. They offer neat deals for pricing! The digital scorekeeper/ kiosk things are really good, they also allow for divergent genre modes!
My son does his highschool bowling league practice here! It's very clean fun and makes you just want to have fun . Every time I walk in I get so upset if I can't play lol. But that's the life of being a parent !! Lol.... But at least the next generations gets to enjoy something so nice.
What's in a very good experience witch hazel for children but didn't get what we expected. When we first got there they said they didn't have a reservation for the kids.they didn't put bumper up for the kids . setting was suckie . They didn't have food that we wanted At the end the guy was rude when I try to explain altogether I will never have a party here again so the price of it.
First off I love NorthRock lanes! The staff and the establishment itself. Although recently I have had to make the decision to bowl much closer to home at an alley that's not quite as nice. My wife and I bowl weekly, and since Northrock had the best drinks, priced specials, and lanes around it was easy to call this place our home alley. Unfortunately it has recently been taken over by a new management company that bought out most of the other bowling alleys around. Now in doing so all of the nearby alleys
AJ'S sports grill is also located here. They have happy hour specials on drinks and great pizza. Tuesday is BOGO on pizzas and Monday kids eat free with the purchase of an adult entree. They do cool seasonal pizzas and drinks. Check this place out for sure!.
Has new ownership. The cost of everything has significantly increased. The restaurant has changed and food has gone down hill. Less food for same prices or for some even higher. Drinks have sky rocketed as well. Will be looking for a new ally for league.
This place has such bad customer service they don't take into account customers needs or wants very un friendly approach to get more business
Went bowling yesterday with my friend and we were happy it was two dollar day. We were told it's $2 a game and that is fine so I paid for more time. but they didn't bother to tell us that each game was by person not just one game.so instead of playing more times like we wanted we just left...
New ownership has raised prices to extreme levels. Almost $10 per person per game. Costed $40 for 2 games with shoe rentals. Will be going to Seneca Bowl in the future where games are $2 per person. Unfortunate since we come on Fridays pretty frequently.
Love this place! Always a good time!
Great spot. Definitely my favorite place to bowl in Wichita. The food and drinks aren't crazy cheap but definitely not pricey. They have great weeknight discounts on bowling too!
Amazing bowling alley! I'm in a league here once a week and go at other times when I get the chance. Awesome staff and great atmosphere.
Great place to go bowl. They have good quality lanes and a friendly staff. They have an a simple arcade to help keeps the kids entertained as well. Ajs sports bar is a nice quick place to get some bar food to enjoy while you bowl as well
It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.
Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.
Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.
Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.
Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.
Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.
Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.
No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
Arcade prize games are a thrilling highlight in 2025! Claw machines, skee-ball, and ticket-redemption games like basketball offer a rush of skill and chance, with rewards like plushies, toys, or electronics up for grabs. Modern machines feature vibrant lights, digital scoreboards, and responsive controls, amplifying the fun. The lively arcade atmosphere, with cheering crowds and buzzing energy, makes every win feel epic.
