This bowling alley is a hidden gem! The staff was friendly, helpful, and very accommodating for our party of 21. I loved that they offer Special Needs & Low Sensory Hours every Wednesday from 4-6p. This feature alone makes them stand out from other bowling alleys. The bar staff was friendly and the live band was an added bonus. We had an awesome experience. I booked two lanes for a Saturday afternoon 2 weeks out all through the website - they had an FaQ that covered all questions I had about what was available and/or allowable at the location. I received a confirmation and reminder texts about the upcoming event and was allowed cancellation up to two days prior. I would describe this as a boutique bowling alley, because it's small and uniquely decorated in a retro style

We stopped by for a pop-up tiki bar for Valentines Day, and we weren't disappointed. We tried all three cocktails, and all were excellent. The bowling alley looked great, and the retro decor is awesome. Even the mens bathroom looked great. Straight out of 70s or 80s. there was an issue the day I went with my bf. Thankfully we were given a full refund & 1 hours of free bowling. While we were there the staff was friendly. We did have issues with our lane (6) with the pins not resetting and then not counting our scores. Overall still had fun & would return in the future.

Was looking for bowling alley that was different. Found this location online. Checked it out...it was small but Wonderful. It was clean, and the staff was great. I checked out the lounge and the bartender was very knowledgeable about the drinks. I didn't bowl, but relaxed and had a g?od time. Will definitely be back.

This place is horrible. Not only are the prices ridiculous, they have bad customer service, they discriminate against people of color. Me and my friend waited and waited for a bartender, we even said hello they would walk right past us and tend to other customers as if we were invisible. I even asked the security could he get their attention he said they ignore him too (he's African American also.) so at this point I just left my cash for my beer on the bar and my date left.

We come here pretty regularly and have fun. The pizza they serve is from Tania?s and it's very good. The staff at the bar are friendly as well as the staff at the check in counter. Some of the patrons are a bit much. Hovering over you to finish your game and even entering the play area when our time isn't even up yet. Chill out and let my kid finish the game.

It's a fun place to go. Always packed and busy over the weekends. Luckily was able to bowl here last Wednesday. The stuff is really welcoming and cool. We had a baby with us, the staff ended up giving the baby cute onesie Bowlero merchandise. Next time we go the baby is definitely going to wear the onesie. Haha

Bowlero is updated and similar in pricing to other bowling alleys. They have a good size parking lot on North and South side of the building. Shoes are $3/pp and bowling price depends on how long you want to bowl. They also have a bar area with live music tucked away that has windows overlooking the bowling alley. Took my daughter here for her birthday and it was amazing it was esthetically pleasing the staff was super nice wish they served more than pizza but besides that it was great and my daughter had a good time.

Top notch experience! We hosted our son?s birthday party here and everyone had a blast. From the very start the staff was responsive and helpful with planning. When we arrived day of they were patient and kind with the kids and parents. We were here for a kid's 6th birthday party. There was another party at the same time and they really managed to minimize the chaos. The lounge was perfect for pizza/cake/presents. Was searching for reviews about the lane conditions before visiting this past weekend and didn't find any reviews with that information. It is unique place that is great for hosting parties and we had a great time. If you're looking to bring your own ball, bring the weakest ball you own! Oil was practically non-existent. Hope this review helps someone in the future.

Honestly, Bowlero is one of the very best family-friendly activities during the day! We love that we are local. Our 5 year old son asks to go all the time - such a positive, vibrant, accommodating experience every time! The retro decor is awesome too. Stop by Ray?s next door for an ice cream cone afterwards- this classic ice cream parlor has 50+ flavors to choose from and is open year round.

Bowlero is great! I'm originally from Connecticut and the Royal Oak location is just as great as the one I go to back home! I'll be coming here often while I'm in Michigan!

On September 22, 2024, we had my husband?s retirement party at Bowlero. Everything was perfect. The staff was wonderful and accommodating in every way. Refurbished bowling alley in Detroit like in the good old days with friendly vibes all around. The bar has a good beer selection including a decent pint of Guiness. However, no food apart from your basic potato chips. The bathrooms are indeed impressive. We came to see a band here that had a good gig, so we enjoyed it. We've been here on a date night and had no issues. Today we decided to take our three kids. They told us 30-45 minutes for a lane to open. We waited well over an hour. We would have left and gone someplace else, but every time we checked they would say ?not much longer?. Not worth the wait with small children.

Honestly the best bowling place I've ever been to. They put a bunch of effort into renovating this place and I think it needs to be recognized! The lounge area is a nice touch and was packed with people having a great time... The pinball area was cool, although I wish it was a bit bigger with a few more games. It's venues like this that innovate and turn a passe sport into something hip and fun to do for the next generation. Fantastic place to go on a couple's date. 10/10

Nice bowling alley and bar, but don't come here if you want a fair bowling game. Their system is a joke and resets to fill pins after one roll, doesn't count the score etc.

Bowlero is spectacular. Our high school hosted a wrestling end of the year party there and it could not have been better. The staff was expert at handling our very large and excited group with the ultimate in professionalism and kindness. We had a lot of food delivered for our hungry crew and the staff was super helpful. I highly recommend this establishment for any social event or birthday party. RACES OTHER THAN THE MAJORITY NOT RESPECTED!!! I was set to give this place a 5 star until this happened: We came in at 1210 PM. Our 2 lane reservations were for 2 hours. We put our shoes on and sat waiting until 1230 since all our guests weren't there yet. At 1231 we signed in and started putting names. When the other guests arrived they logged in. Went with 3 friends on one lane. Our lane took a very long time after each bowl to shuffle the pins behind and reset it. Not compensated at all for wasted time after a worker needed to come over and fix it. Tiny seating area. Good variety of sized bowling balls though. Don't waste your time just go somewhere else.

If you love bowling and need a blast from the past then check out Bowlero lanes in Royal Oak. It's a 70s inspired retro-boutique house complete with and old school arcade too. The TVs even had old shows and commercials to help immerse you in the experience.
