Overall, reviews are mixed but lean positive, with many praising recent renovations, family-friendly atmosphere, and excellent service from staff. Multiple 5-star reviews highlight fun experiences, good food, and improvements like golf simulators. However, some 1-star complaints cite poor lane maintenance, inconsistent oiling, slow service, and occasional rude staff. Customer Reviews

We did the bowl for one hour for $20. The lane we were originally assigned, the computer wouldn't turn on, so the front desk came over with a stick to reset the tablet. We got our names registered, but when we went to bowl, the light above the pins wasn't working. We were then moved to another lane. On the new lane, we had to double -reset the pins every 4th bowler because it would set them up with no pins. They did not extend our hour to comp for all the issues despite only a few other lanes being in use.

This bowling alley was great and the food came out relatively fast! My only complaint is the main cashier, we had bought credits for the arcade, and when we swiped on a game, it kept taking credits and wouldn't work. Upon going to the desk to get the credits put back on, we were given heavy attitude, as well as a card slammed back on the counter at us!! We were not impressed. When you go somewhere and spend money to relax and have fun, you expect to be treated with kindness, not blatant disrespect.

Love this place! I grew up coming to this bowling alley. The new improvements are amazing! Great affordable family fun for the entire family! However, you may want to eat before coming out or check to see if the kitchen is staffed to accommodate your eating and beverage needs......I was out there last night and went to the snack bar to order a Mt.dew and a RB to drink for my daughter I, waited in line for about 15min with one family ahead of me, no problem( they were busy).Apparently I was a problem to the

WOW!! They have Really UPGRADED this place!!! An Arcade that takes up 2 rooms, a Karaoke area or a live band area in the bar, a patio-area with cornhole, plus an ax throwing area!!! They still have Glow Bowl on Friday nights, also!!!

Love the renovations. Seen allot of opportunity missed last night. They had five open lanes told people an hour wait. (We waiting over an hour watched several people turn around and leave) only for them to later open the lanes for friends family and staff. Rude?

Went to a birthday party. Love the lanes! Reasonable prices! Lots of new fun arcade games... but they were very understaffed and so many people were standing around waiting for things for long periods of time. The women working was kind and quick, but it was just too much for one person. Hope they can get someone else so the counter and the kitchen can be manned at the same time.

Fun bowling center, it has a nice arcade, new lanes, and a top of the line golf simulator. The bar is really nice too.

The recent renovations are nice! It's a fun family friendly place.

A blessing to the Fostoria community. Very nice center. Did a fantastic job hosting highschool sectional bowling.

I LOVE coming out to Bowlero. My kids have a blast in the arcade and bowling. They also love playing on the volleyball courts. My favorite is the dance parties and music bingo in the bar! The staff are super nice and helpful!

I wish I could give this place a better review, but when it comes down to everything the service was absolutely HORRIBLE! We drank and ordered food in the bar area while waiting for our 2 lanes. Waiting was no problem, we kinda figured we'd have to due to it being a Saturday night. The bartenders were serving from two ends of the bar, not allowed to order by just walking up to the bar, and let it be known there were NO SIGNS to indicate this at all, and we weren't told this until after waiting for 17 minute

What a fun place to bring the entire family. Bowlero offers bowling, a gulf simulator, axe throwing, video games, food, and a comfortable bar/lounge to catch the game.

Business is ran by gnomes. Score tablets don't work, scores are inaccurate, have fun going to the front desk 17 times just to get treated like you're being a bother to them like you didn't just pay $45 to enjoy your night throw a few balls down the lane stress free. Lost something, called 10 times next day not a single answer. I'm not one to write a review but I paid my dues to be able to enjoy myself and I hope they find some way to make the value build other than adding more stuff. Perfect what stuff you

Fun time the pizza was good too. I would like it to stay open longer. Will be going back for some more fun times.

Great atmosphere! The building itself and the staff with-in are just fun. Definitely will be going again!

Love the updated space!! Utilized the new golf simulator and wow that was fun.

We have been here multiple times the past few weeks. The staff is friendly, and the entire place is clean. But, their selections of ball choice are repetitive. A lot of old used ones with dings. The arcade is fun and bigger than a usual bowling Alleys arcade.

Good movie, bad cast. Good place to bowl but the 10ish times I've been there I've had nothing but subpar to horrible service. From not being put on the wait list, being over charged, and being treated like an inconvenience. I've tried to give the head cashier the benefit of the doubt and say maybe she's been having a bad day, but every single time I get the worst attitude from her. When the lanes break down, (they will at least once when you're there) and you ask them to fix it for you they act like it's th

They have done so many updates. I enjoy the atmosphere. Axe throwing! Golf simulator! Bowling! Arcade! Sports Bar! And an outside hangout spot, that I haven't had time to visit yet,. Everytime I'm there I see something new and exciting. Great work.

Nice place, Herbies lounge is part of it, we went to listen to Special Guestz perform....

Since Bowlero has bought this establishment, they have made many many updates and upgrades. Great place to bowl, use golf simulator or even throw axes. Great food and drinks.

Our family had a good time bowling here! You can also get food here as well which is ok. There is also a bar on the other side. They have put in a new volleyball area outside. They have ax throwing here, it's digital, but still cool. They are also putting in an arcade! This is a great place for kids Birthday parties.

This place has changed a lot throughout the years. They have an arcade, bowling, ax throwing, karaoke, and a golf simulator. Lots of things to do.

Staff was very nice and helpful. There seemed to be a lot of things to do from arcade games, axe throwing and outside had a patio area with "beach" volleyball. For the reopening event there was only blacklights being used so I could not see the condition of the inside of the building. The pin setter did not work properly a lot of the time and on our lane the score counter would give a score of 5 pins down when it should have been a count of 2. I got a fountain drink and it tasted very musty/mildew and I

Great place to Bowl with Friends, family, and church family (King's Church)

Spectacular! The staff is friendly, attentive, and just all-around great humans. Seems to be under a bit of a remodel but otherwise a wonderful place to go with great pricing. Highly recommend.

Called before I left, was told by person on the phone that if I arrived at 7 there would be lanes available, me and my group all pack up and drive varying times to bowl only to show up at 7 and be told there would be no lanes until 8 or 9 won't be trying a second time.

Bowled a tournament here today. Scoring system inoperable, can't slide on the approach, ball returns not working. Nothing at all was good about this experience. Absolutely awful!! Please go somewhere else.

Herbies Roadhouse was awesome! Great place to watch the games, great staff and drinks! Love the patio and big TVs. Can't wait to bowl or try the arcade out!

Only oils on league days and don't oil anything else besides the league lanes, and there is too little lanes for open bowling when league is happening Another update, people were vaping weed at the desk and the staff wasn't doing anything about it. Also, the lanes played like they were oiled last week. Most likely never coming back unless they fix the oiling and kids vaping weed

I booked this party 3 wks in advance, no tables set up, attitude whenever anyone needed something. Had to ride them about pizza and pop. No bowling pin for my child, and gave us free bowling tickets for guests an hr after the party ended. The kids had fun, but I expected some sort of organization. No organization at all. Very disappointing.

Had my great grandaughters 4th n-day party there. Very nice place with lots of things to do. Would go again.

A nice, clean bowling alley. They have a decent concession stand with lots of snacks to choose from. They have a full bar and several Lanes. The scoring system is modern and really nice. We didn't have a single ball gets stuck the entire time we were there.

They went above and beyond today to make sure my daughter?s 9th birthday party was a success! They have put a lot of hard work and dedication into the bowling alley and it shows! Thank you for your wonderful service! We will definitely return!

Great place! Management and staff treated me so well. The ball and weight selection is great. Food was excellent and beers are cheap. Great place to take your family for family night, friends and food. I love this place because of the friendly family atmosphere and the great management of this establishment. Thank you to all for a great night!

I called om a Sunday and the owner answered the phone I asked if they sound fried pickles . He was so nice said that they did and that even though they were not open on Sundays he would turn on fryers and make them and onion rings . I loved the items he made and the nicest thing he did for me . this is the kid of people we need in our community .I am just amazed

This place really brought back a lot of memories from when I lived in Ohio. Enjoyed bowling here. They have some good prices for drinks and food. The lanes where ok. I did bowl after a league so that could have been a definite reason for lower quality lanes. But I did really enjoy coming back to Seneca Lanes.

Was there last night with 2-10yr Olds. Payed 20 a piece for "Glow bowl" We attempted to bowl our first game on lane 17 and our lane broke down 3 times so took over a hour for one game. Attempting to bowl a 2nd game and after 1st frame our balls as well as the lane beside us did not return. After waiting for close to 20 min the lady finally told us that we would have to move cause fixing it was going to be a while. I asked if we could just pay for the one game we played and shoes and she stated no we already

Had a great time bowling with the family! The staff was friendly even though it was busy & she was running around doing everything. We'll definitely be back again.

They did a really good job renovating this place. Staff was great with everything!!

Good food and good staff. Prices for food are reasonable but if you want to bowl it can get pricey. They have a small game room which is great for kids to win some small prizes. I had a great time even though I wasn't the best bowler.

Nice place, but need more restrooms. Long way to walk if your on lanes 1 and 2.

Had a great time bowling with my friends. Joe helped me bowl...he was AWESOME!!!! Jen brought us ice cold beverages. Great family experience. Would highly recommend. Can't wait to go back??????

Staff is amazing, bowling is always fun, the equipment seems out if date and in need of tlc. Disappointed the lights can't go out for glow bowling anymore, but it was still fun. Good was surprisingly good

Great place to have fun and unwind with good people. Great customer service, clean, lots of recent updates and looks like more are on the way! Family friendly atmosphere!

Very entertaining we went on Friday night to see the karaoke. Extremely funny, nice place, clean, no dirty jokes or language. The bar staff were great and the food was very good ??

This was a great place to play. Very friendly and helpful staff. If you visit, you simply have to try the candlepins! They're hard, but so much fun. Looking forward to the next time I travel this way so I can do it again

Decent pricing, we were stuck by a leak in the roof though. Had fun either way. Great staff, fast friendly service. Enjoyed our visit.

Lanes keep breaking down over 2 hr to bowl one game owner very nasty about it we just left. Was out while school had match game . Coaching staff was clueless not helping the kids what so ever. The coaches have no clue on what they are doing and not helping the kids at all. They have to realize it's a fun sport get their head out of their butts and do something except looking like daaaa! Learn to coach!!!!

Went to go bowling tonight. I checked Facebook first to be sure they were going to be open. I pull up with 7 people and they were locking the door at 9:30 PM or so and summer hours are till midnight. I'm very disappointed.

Nice place. Clean friendly. Went for a corn hole tournament and loved it

They've fixed it up nicely, the bar was great for watching the game and food was good.

Took the kid here for a couple games he seemed more interested in the arcade than bowling we both had a good time we will be back

Place looks awesome since Bowlero took over. Golf Simulators are awesome, arcade is huge, and the bowling alley looks so much better.

Nice lanes, good food, drinks were reasonably priced too.

Hands down best staff. Nice people. U won't find a better bowling alley anywhere

Had my nieces birthday party there last weekend. It was a blast! Thanks for a great time!

Fun family place to hang and Herbie's Roadhouse is awesome for an adult beverage and some live music. Can't wait until their patio is done!

Clean bowling alley, lots of games. Bowling alleys are wonderfully kept. Pizza is OK.

Very nice establishment and very accommodating staff. Recommend this place.

I swear it was 90? in there. They also don't know how to oil the lanes. They lay a gallon of oil on each lane..

I am not from fostoria I was just passing through and needed to use the restroom. However the place was clean and the people were friendly. The people that were bowling looks like they were having fun

Karaoke was AWESOME!! HAD A BLAST!!

Very clean and great bowling alley. The equipment is top notch. The service is wonderful and polite. A great place to take your family!!

So close to home and always feel welcome. We love the new updates and food!

Great place to have some fun! Good food. Mixed drinks are a bit weak.

What a great venue! Multiple lanes and great value per game. The adjacent bar is good and great for parties and celebrations

Great place, had a lot of fun, staff was courteous and helpful, good food, bowled candlepins, it was a blast

Pay by the game not the hour you spend most of your time waiting for the balls to return I hope they get this issue fixed soon

9-12 glow bowling was not glow bowling, lights were still on and the kitchen closes at 10...why ??you're still open till 12

Since new owners took over they changed food menu not as much to choose from and costs more.

Great food and drinks. Good atmosphere for the family to gather and enjoy the evening.

Great place can't wait to come back

Jan and family are great. They go out of their way to make you feel welcome..

My previous review of 3 stars was left by mistake. As always Thibodeau?s Seneca Lanes is fantastic

Always a fun place to go when I come up from Columbus. They've really put some money into that place.

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s it like visiting an arcade today?

It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.

Is it better to go alone or with friends?

Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.

What should I bring to an arcade?

Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.

What’s the best time to visit an arcade?

Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.

Can I meet new people at arcades?

Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.

Are arcades still just for kids?

Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.

Are there events or tournaments I can join?

Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.

What if I’m not great at arcade games?

No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”

Are pool tables in arcades still good in this modern age?

Yes, pool tables in arcades remain a fantastic draw in 2025! Games like 8-ball or 9-ball offer tactile, skill-based fun that blends strategy and precision. Modern tables feature smooth felt, responsive cues, and vibrant designs, enhancing the classic experience. Arcades foster a social vibe with casual matches or competitive tournaments, appealing to all skill levels. Unlike digital games, pool’s physicality—lining up shots, feeling the cue’s weight—keeps it timeless.

Why are arcade prize games so exciting to play?

Arcade prize games are a thrilling highlight in 2025! Claw machines, skee-ball, and ticket-redemption games like basketball offer a rush of skill and chance, with rewards like plushies, toys, or electronics up for grabs. Modern machines feature vibrant lights, digital scoreboards, and responsive controls, amplifying the fun. The lively arcade atmosphere, with cheering crowds and buzzing energy, makes every win feel epic.
