Bowlero Gilbert

Reviews Summary

Bowlero receives mixed reviews, with many praising its clean facilities, friendly staff, and fun atmosphere, especially for family outings and parties. Positive highlights include well-maintained lanes, good arcade options, and helpful service. However, significant complaints focus on frequent lane malfunctions, slow or rude service, high prices for food/drinks, and occasional cleanliness issues. Some criticize strict policies (e.g., no outside water) or inappropriate evening content. While leagues and regulars enjoy consistent quality, casual visitors often face frustrations like broken equipment or long waits. Overall, experiences vary widely based on timing and expectations.

Customer Reviews

First time at this location and I was immediately impressed with the size and cleanliness of the facility. Their arcade was large, and they had over 40 bowling lanes. We bowled for 2 hours on Saturday afternoon we were able to get a lane immediately with no reservations. Our server was pretty attentive checking in every one in a while to see if we wanted to order more food or drinks despite being able to order through their QR code. We ordered a pepperoni pizza and garlic Parmesan fries. Both items were gre

Super awesome experience. We went on a weekend and it was surprisingly empty. Then it started to fill up a little later on. Yhe food was great, and my son had a blast playing all of the games.

came here on Tuesday for a little date night and everything seemed fine until after taking photos in the Photo Booth it ran out of ink and so we couldnt take any more which was fine, then we went to play some games and hit the jackpot but the game glitched and we didn't receive our tickets and this goes happens 2 more times so we finally go talk to someone and there was nothing to be done okay not going to complain to the workers (not their fault just sucks) finally our lane were ready and we go to bowl the

Atmosphere was fine. Place was sort of clean not great but not filthy. Shelf under table at our lane was super sticky as was floor. We had four people in our party. We bowled two games plus 4 shoe rentals. That was $82. They charge per person and per game. Not hourly, not per game. Per person PLUS per game PLUS show rental. We got three sodas, that was $18 or about $6.00 per fountain drink/soda. Waitress was very nice, but she seemed to the only one working for all lanes. That price was not for a beer or a

We went in with 13 people, at 9:30pm. We paid $18 per person for unlimited bowling. We requested 3 lanes, because 7 people in 1 lane would take forever to finish a game, but they said they could not do 3 lanes, while many other lanes were empty. They knew we could barely make it 2 games, but they did not suggest paying per game instead of unlimited. We only did 1 game and 3 rounds. Should have recommended the best choice to your customers.

I like this one as it seems newer than the one in Scottsdale and doesn't have the threads holding the pins. Unfortunately sometimes it is impossible to play because they reserve all the lanes for the leagues like right around 5/5:30pm when I come and lanes are not available until 9/9:30pm which makes it too late for me. I think they should reserve at least a few lanes for people NOT in a league to make it fair. Staff is nice though and bowling balls are in a good shape. I beat my record there multiple times

I really like this location and come here all the time with my family. Bowling is excellent and the arcade is our favorite. Not giving 5 stars because the service on Saturdays alwaysss sucks. They do get really busy, understandably so, but I don't get why the servers act annoyed when you want to order more food/drinks. Why wouldn't you want us to spend more money? Never friendly, always forgetting items, constantly having to track them down. Food and drinks take forever to come. I've had this experience mor

Came in last night and I thought I purchased a family pass online. Turns out it was another state. The manager there was gracious enough to help us out and made our experience absolutely wonderful ?? we will absolutely be back and love the human kindness here at this location!

When buying a lane it goes by games, getting 2 games and not a time limit has its pros and cons. The arcade is also very large. It has a great atmosphere and is overall a good time. Price (like most entertainment places nowadays) is a bit steep. But, they have a summer pass that really let's you get a lot of bowling in for a great deal.

Bowling was? pretty fair. This was and average experience start to finish? aside from the beacon of my whole day. And that is GIGI! This lady is my new favorite person! She did more than make us laugh and fill our drinks. Gigi is my new favorite waitress and my new best friend (unbeknownst to her lol). She deserves a promotion big time!

We had a group of 16 and called ahead to confirm that our whole party could bowl together ? which was confirmed over the phone. When we arrived, most of us were placed in adjacent lanes, but the last three members of our group were told they couldn't join us, despite multiple open lanes nearby. Instead of making a simple accommodation, the staff let them walk out ? only to seat a group of 2 right next to us minutes later. The person at the front desk was unhelpful and had a poor attitude. We won't be return

Emilie and Joe were great, but that's about it. We go to this bowlero every year to play laser tag, and this year was awful. Half the vests weren't charged, and not evenly either. 3 red vests worked and like 8 blue vests worked. Why did they sell 15 people laser tag admission if they didn't have enough vests!? They claimed it was on ?free for all? but it wasn't. Bad experience, we went to Q and Brew in Tempe that had working equipment, better beers, and better prices.

Fantastic experience...10 games of 6 people. Shoes .balls..lanes maintained very well. Jody..Zoey were extremely helpful. We all enjoyed 2 large pints of beer..chicken fry..cauliflower fry..vegetarian pizza. Happy evening memories

We bowl leagues here and always have a great experience with the employees! We wanted to do an extra special shout out for Ryan at the arcade counter! He was EXTRA helpful and went above and beyond to help us out and a cheerful disposition! Awesome customer service!

The manager Jody and our server Jalyssa and the whole experience was flawless, such we bought 2 summer passes, $50 ea for me and our grandson, which is May 13-Sept 1. This bowling alley is awesome and incredibly clean with their staff who are very present and engaging ????????????

Clean, great servers and staff, Few issue being a regular league bowler is the oil on the lanes. I wish they would hire an experienced person to oil them. One night it can be good, a couple days later it can be terrible. It's just not me saying it either. Also think having drink specials for league bowlers especially on Fridays. We should be given something for us bowling there every week for 36+ weeks a season. New menu food items are good but the cost for French fries being $12 is a lot.

Went there for a company Christmas party, the staff so friendly. The service was excellent. The place was clean, it even smelled clean. I even checked the bathrooms the staff keeps this place spotless. The games are fun: bowling, arcade, all worked and was top shelf. The management should definitely appreciate their staff. You will appreciate the time you spend at this bolero.

I recently visited Bowlero and was really disappointed by the music videos being played, especially considering this is supposed to be a family-friendly venue. I was told that after 8 p.m. the environment becomes ?less family-oriented,? but what was on the screens wasn't just more mature?it was extremely inappropriate. The videos featured highly sexualized content that felt more like something you'd expect at a nightclub, not a bowling alley where families and children are still present. Even as an adult,

First time in AZ and Bowlero Gilbert. Good value, Fun entertainment for young and old. Great deal on unlimited bowling especially when our flight didn't leave until 7pm. Sheltering ourselves from the hot weather, a fully air conditioned facility that included bowling, video games, liquor and food was a great way to pass time.

A bowling alley this terrible claiming to host league nights is shameful. This place is the McDonald?s ice cream machine of bowling alleys. Lanes are constantly broken, lane approaches and bowler seating areas are always filthy, floors are sticky, the wait staff is rude and have been caught lying about being out of menu items multiple times. It's almost like they are allergic to making money. This will be the LAST year we bowl on a league at this place. Rates always go up and service and quality go down. Sh

Pretty good experience over all. Place was clean and the atmosphere was outstanding. The shoes were kinda beat down for such a high quality looking place but not so bad that I wanyed to leave. The rates were fine, about 6 dollars a game per bowler. Only downside were the drinks was high for amount of liquor they poured but worse was the staff at the shoe rental. Stood in line 10 minutes before I got my shoes and was the only person in line. Manager was busy on the walkie talkie and never said hold on a sec

Good atmosphere, friendly staff, bowling, and bar. Good times every night out here . The food is ok, the arcade is way overpriced, but with this economy...

We had a Bowlero birthday party for my son last year and he had a lot of fun but this year ridiculous obstacles were put in our way. I was not allowed to bring my water cup in, even though I just had surgery and have a medical condition. They do not sell drinks by the pitcher but rather in 16 oz cups for almost $6.00. Then when we went to check the balance on our arcade cards and asked to use our $200 arcade card to buy a $20 arcade card for our youngestwe were told that was impossible. Every time my famil

Update: Very expensive but they are currently running lots of specials. Get the sampler platter, it's worth it for a family. Wed night, league night. We enjoyed the arcade section, decor has nice ambiance and lights. Staff was friendly and helpful.Tried laser tag, stairs are off limits bc they're dangerous and no music.

If you guys are looking for a bowling spot this place is fun ! The wait was a little long other than that it was a fun and great experience, everyone is friendly and its very clean! They have many fun things to do and bowling shoes are comfortable to wear !

Came in on Wednesday evening with my family for some bonding time.Used a Groupon discount which was a steal. Greeted and taken care of pretty quick. Customer service was awesome. It was not crowded and the place was clean. Cosmic bowling lane 19 was perfect. It is very easy to order food and drinks from a kiosk. Ordered 2 sampler platters, hot and fresh and food was good. The server checked in on us and was great as well. My only complaint was that the alcohol beverages were kinda weak, so instead I ordered

Love the summer pass deal! Great for date nights. Can't wait to go all summer long. Staff is super friendly and informative.

I wish all of the Bowlero alleys could be like this one. It has tons of lanes for both leagues and casual bowlers, bar/food, and a good sized arcade with a laser tag room. Definitely one of the nicest in the valley!

Got to the bowling alley at 9pm on a Tuesday and there was league bowling going on which is fine, but being told we can't get a lane until past 10 defeats the purpose of ?unlimited bowling? when they close at 11. So let's wait until 10:15 to get a lane and then bowl for 45 minutes. Manage the time better for league and close later.

I want to start off by saying this review has nothing to do with the service. Emilie and Joe were very kind and very helpful. Now that that's out of the way? Every year on the day before New Year?s Eve my friends and I come here for a few beers and to play laser tag. We've had this traditional for the last four years. When we went in last night (14 of us) there were only 6 functioning laser tag vests. 4 for team blue, and 2 for team red. The software didn't allow for ?free for all? mode so we decided we'd

Can't bring drinks in, in the middle of Arizona, in the summer. I totally get wanting people to buy drinks and food with you but that's a ridiculous policy. I'm also editing this to add that for some reason they give you fouls. I'm here playing with my three-year-old and my six-year-old, not seriously, why are we getting fouls?

Had fun with the family, but could of been put in a completely empty spot on both sides, but our 6 were put next to another 6 people. Was a bit crowded but had fun overall.

It's a little pricey. For bowling. Food is pricey. For all it's not too bad. Do not get a group on for Saturday. It will not work. Had to pay full price.

Nice place could?ve used more different games in the arcade. One thing that bothered me was the slow service when ordering food and drinks. Better going to the bar or you can sit around and wait for service.

This is probably one of the more expensive Bowlero facilities I've been to. They have one side for blacklight bowling and another for white light bowling. This is great for people that want to actually practice and see their marks on the lane. With that said, the lane I was on was pretty tough. They either don't clean the back ends or haven't in a while as the only hook was outside of the 3 board. Everything else had oil to some degree. Ball motion down lane was almost non-existent. For me, that's a good t

Dont go on a Saturday, its the most expensive day to go!!! $13 per person, per game + extra for shoes....ya no thank you. Ill take my bowling else where. I never had any issues when I wore my mask under my nose. This one guy that worked when we went was beyond nice, i forget his name. But one of the games shut down a few times on us, so he went above and beyond and let us play basketball a few rounds. I only come to get pictures printed from the arcade area ??

This place is huge and spacious compared to other bowling spots in chandler Gilbert area. We loved this place. Only point to note is drink and food options are less and $$

Really cool lights and vibe. The place is spacious and the staff is really friendly. The fries were really good and portions are generous. My only suggestion would be to provide sanitizing equipment for the balls.

Maybe 10 people in the building Sunday morning. The trans person working there wouldn't allow our water bottles once we started playing and told us to take them out. Left after 1 game and went to FatCats. Our kids wanted to go to FatCats over Bowlero when on the way there, but we thought a change of scenery would be good. Nope. kids were right. Heading to FatCats now. Fyi $11 for two sodas at Bowlero as well.

My kids and I love this bowling alley. The atmosphere is fun and festive, the food is great, and the staff is very helpful and friendly. Jag served us today, and he's AWESOME.

We took a group of 16 boys and leaders. We filled 2 lanes and the boys loved it. They all left a little better bowlers than when they arrived. Win win.

When I tell you I had an experience here, I HAD A GREAT EXPERIENCE HERE! We had my brothers birthday here, he turned 26 and insisted on bowling, and we all had an incredible time! The bowling alley itself was beautiful and clean, and very open! We did the birthday package and they did such a great job! It was decorated, with all the food ready, and drink set up! Very impressed!! And the bowling was so much fun! We played multiple games and even hit the arcade area after we were all done. Absolute blast! I h

Was sent to this location for a ball repair! I was told the scratches (caused by another location) were gonna be easily removed with a polish in 5mins!! After sending emails & having a phone call with the GM of AMF TEMPE, the balls were still not properly repaired!! It seems to be they only worry about what ?THEY FEEL? is a problem and not how the customers feel!! I was thrown in circles about how the scratches weren't a problem, and how it would easily be fixed!! Turns out it wasn't so easy after all beca

Took a large group there on a busy day with coupons, without a reservation, and they accommodated us no problem. Nice staff. Very clean. Good food.

If you are not a league bowler this house is good, but as far as league goes not so good. The lanes are not repaired and maintained. Racks dropping pins constantly, foul sensors a consistent problem on the same lanes, and a inconsistent shot weekly. Racks seem off with strange pin leaves or taps. You may have to go to the front desk 10 or more times to have the pins reset for your spare shot without seeing a mechanic. Update, last night lane 20 9 pin off spot. If you have sanctioned leagues in your house,

Very fun atmosphere, they have a nice arcade area near the entrance and then the bowling lanes farther in. The inside looks very clean and spacious, I definitely recommend going with friends or family!

Celebrated kid's birthday party here, manager and employees were excellent, friendly, accommodating, and always willing to help. All the kids had a great time doing a few rounds of laser tag and playing at the arcade. They did a great job at getting the food ready on time and constantly replenished.

This place is definitely worth checking out. Had cool things to look at, an arcade while we waited for a lane (showed up during a bowling league event), and the staff is super friendly. Went with a group and we had a wonderful time, will definitely return again. Quinn was super friendly to us, and made such an impression I remembered his name. The manager there (I think Joe) was super friendly. Excellent time, great price for things, will return again.

We hit up the arcade. Most games actually worked. Fun, modern games and I loved the half price Wednesday promotion. Entertained my 10 year old for several hours and spent less than 50 bucks.

Fabulous experience from the time I booked the party to the entire event. The staff that night were incredible they were informative, kind and helpful.

Bad reception inside and i think they have wifi inside, it was kinda fun going here and it'll be good going her with group of people. The bowling ball feel little bit sticky. They charge per hour.

Pizza was so small so we ordered another but never came. We got there around 4:30 . Got 2 hours play. For 6 people asked for 2 lanes. They said they will be busy from 7pm. Dont you get it? We finish at 6:30!!! Celery never came. Came in the end. Pathetic. Lane borken. Asked 4 times but never fixed. We are leaving. Not recommended. I mean STRONGLY...

Awesome place to go. The lanes were very well kept. The staff were friendly, especially Kate was awesome. She did a great job with my food purchase. great customer service that i ever received at a Bowlero franchise. I will be coming back again, every Friday!

I was extremely disappointed tonight. I took my kids to play games here tonight and we spent a ton of money to win enough tickets to get the things we wanted from the prize area. When going to cash out our points the game we wanted was advertised as 2690 tickets but when the attendant pulled it down and rang it up it came out to over 4900!!! Let me just say he was extremely cool about it but had no power to fix it. When his manager came over she just brushed it off and said ?yeah I've been dealing with this

pool is 10 dollars an hour rent -bowling prices are reasonable -food is a bit more expensive than AMF -overall vibe is better than AMF. cool place

Fun place. Bowling is a little bit less than Main Event, w/o any coupons. The arcade games are reasonable too.

Went for a bday party and was pleasantly surprised and this little known gem. Not too busy, service was fantastic. The arcade games were all in working order and the Lazer tag gave more time in the game than any other one I've taken my kids to. It was a great experience!

Great place for family and friends. Casual mood and very lrge scale of place.

We had a fantastic time celebrating my 5-year-old's birthday here! Everyone had a blast?both kids and adults alike enjoyed the bowling, food, and drinks. We opted for one of their birthday packages, which included everything we needed for a stress-free event. Compared to other bowling venues, Bowlero stands out with its wider variety of food options, all at an affordable price. The manager checked in on us multiple times to ensure everything was going smoothly, and our server was exceptional. Even during

We were greeted warmly at the counter, and the woman at the register was efficient and friendly. We bowled a total of 3 games, and we had a wonderful time! We also ordered food and drinks while we bowled, and while the first server was friendly and attentive, there was a change in shifts and our second server was NOT attentive at all. My drink was left empty until I got myself a refill, and our server never bothered to check on us. Very disappointing! The chicken tenders that we ordered were very bland and

Half price Arcade on Wednesdays is great for 2 - 8 year old boys. Lots of fun!

Awesome place, the gentleman that helped us was what made the experience perfect for a bowling date night with my Lady and I. Clean place, nice open sitting area, great food and drinks. Thank you for a wonderful evening. This is our favorite Alley so far!

Friendly staff and very clean lanes. Pro shop is pretty awesome and Kurt is extremely helpful with selecting gear and ball layout.

Clean, lots of lanes, games and arcade out front. A nice little version of Dave & Buster's or main event right here in Gilbert!

Good bowling place, bowls and shoes are in good condition. Be aware that they don't allow outside food and drink not even water.

Destinee provided exceptional service during our visit! She was attentive, friendly, and went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. Her warm demeanor and professionalism made our experience truly memorable. Highly recommend her for anyone looking for top-notch service!

Great atmosphere and staff. The food is decent?an excellent place for group events.

Nice clean place. Went with business associates... boss was paying but I wasn't at the table when they ordered drinks so I ordered myself a soda. $6 alright... I didn't tip because I knew my boss was tipping well... the bar tender/waitress comes back over and tells me I have to put something in the tip line or they will think she isn't doing her job.... umm that's not how that works but I added a dollar... whatever I was with all men, she was super sweet to all of them. And had an attitude with me... to wh

Great place to bowl. Little expensive for food and games and shoes. But if that doesn't bother you. You will have a good time

A good time for sure, bowling here is normally pretty fun and I've been here probably 10 or more times over the years. I will say the prices have definitely climbed dramatically, you pretty much have to go during whenever the specials apply to not pay a crazy amount.

Nice place to take the kids on a weekday. Lots of games at a decent price. Bowling was a bit expensive though.

This place is great! Best lanes in the state! These guys oil daily and or twice a day. Lots of leagues at this house, lots stuff for younger children. Great parking, good service.... better bar food!!

Incredibly fun place to take the family! They have everything from billiards to laser tag to a fun and interactive arcade. There is something for everyone in the family here.

This place is run very well. I do bowl there a lot and I'm surprised by some of the bad/mediocre reviews I've read. My experience has always been a good one. All the employees are friendly and go out of their way to help with whatever is needed... they actually make you feel special. Destiny and the crew right now are great to have around as they are very patient and personable. I have personally witnessed the crew interact with other customers as well and it's always been a great interaction. I recommend b

Came here for half price game day and 9.99 unlimited laser tag. Always a good time at bowlero. ??

I took my boys there for some bowling and video games, we meet a young woman Destiny there at the counter that was super friendly and helpful. She was very knowledgeable and was absolutely wonderful to talk to and meet. We will definitely come back because of Destiny

Poor service, poor communication. Quoted an hour wait for bowling. Which was understandable. We spent a lot of $ in game room while waiting the first hour and ten minutes. At that point our name was somehow removed from the waiting list. They put it back on promising we are the very next lane and no more than 35 minutes. 2.5 hours later we still have not gotten a lane and are being told a shorter a shorter wait and we see several lanes empty. But we learned after the for 1 hour and 40 minutes that a reserva

Both lanes our party was using stopped working, and after reporting it the first time, it took them 15 minutes to get a mechanic on it. One frame later, both lanes malfunctioned again, and the 2nd time the repair took even longer, like 25 minutes, with no communication from the front desk. I guess it's just normal for them to keep customers waiting. Eventually they relocated us to 2 new/different lanes, but 2 players lost a frame, and we all sat around for nearly an hour. I would have expected them t

Wow! So big, clean end fun! Will definitely be visiting again!

Me and my friends decided to go bowling on Sunday May 12. just wanting to have fun, we were greeted by the friendly front desk lady, totally forgot her name but she was so nice and understanding, we had a question about their leagues and she brought over her manager Destinee, she was so helpful with all the information and where me and my friends could sign up at! Also along with the good experience, our server was great, lane worked amazing, and the process of it all was nice and smooth! definitely coming

The nicest bowling alley I've been too. Always clean and friendly. I highly recommend!

Nice place always fun! But beware if ordering from the touch screen at your lane, service is super slow twice I've had to go to the bar to get my drinks because they just sit there. When i asked the bartender if theu were my drinks her response was "i dont know i didnt make them". Definitely not worth the tip i left. RESPONSE TO OWNER Review was simply my experience not to get anyone in trouble or a request to be contacted. But when you request my info and want to contact me there should be some follow th

I had never been to this bowling. Went to celebrate a friend's 14 year old bday. It was super fun. The place is so clean. They have lots of deals going on. Speaking to my friend with her party, she had unlimited pizza for kids. Wings were alright, not the best but good. There is a bar, a side arcade. All staff were super helpful and available. We will definitely make it out there for bowling and possibly kids' parties as we love great clean places with great service.

Awesome my kids love the arcades

Employees were very professional and nice. Only thing is I notice the lane floors are buckling ripples on both side of the lanes... I took pics..

They no longer allow people to bring in water bottles and then provide basic tap water only. Places like this should have RO to make the water drinkable and then people wouldn't need to bring their own water. The PoS systems they have in front of the lanes are annoying and in the way of the ball return hand dryer. They have ginormous tables that take up almost the entire bowlers area. Very cramped. The lanes themselves are good.

We recently had a party here for my kids, which included 7 teenagers. From the start we were thoroughly impressed with the service, the food, and the lanes. Katie and Molly went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed for a great party. They were proactive with the food and drinks, and they were always checking in with us to make sure all was well. Needless to say, we will be having more parties here. +1 will bowl here again.

Spacious and clean arcade, we had a blast. The kids really racked up a decent amount of points for some prizes. We will definitely be coming back!

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s it like visiting an arcade today?

It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.

Is it better to go alone or with friends?

Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.

What should I bring to an arcade?

Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.

What’s the best time to visit an arcade?

Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.

Can I meet new people at arcades?

Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.

Are arcades still just for kids?

Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.

Are there events or tournaments I can join?

Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.

What if I’m not great at arcade games?

No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”

Are pool tables in arcades still good in this modern age?

Yes, pool tables in arcades remain a fantastic draw in 2025! Games like 8-ball or 9-ball offer tactile, skill-based fun that blends strategy and precision. Modern tables feature smooth felt, responsive cues, and vibrant designs, enhancing the classic experience. Arcades foster a social vibe with casual matches or competitive tournaments, appealing to all skill levels. Unlike digital games, pool’s physicality—lining up shots, feeling the cue’s weight—keeps it timeless.
