Customer Reviews

Staff literally walks on the lanes with dirty shoes while bowling. Lanes are horrible and ruin brand new balls consistently. Management notified, and they don't even remotely care. If you are a league bowler, do not bowl here!!! If 0 stars were an option, that's what I would give!!! Horrible!!!

We arrived for 9pm bowling to find that there was a league going on, so call before hand (that was our mistake). The lanes were in good shape and large variety of house balls. We got started around 945 or 10pm and bowled until closing. It was a blast!! We bowled 3 games and got done right at midnight with 5 players. The food looked and tasted pretty good, and was reasonably priced. Fountain soda was free refill, so that's a plus. Overall, we'll be back!

Very nice updated facility. Modern-retro fusion style. This location has a bar, food options, arcade gaming area, league bowling options, birthday party packages, group rates and a summer bowling pass program for families. This location also has various events and weekly specials. Bathrooms could use an update compared to other facilities in the area but this is a very well put together, budget- friendly venue. Has over 40 lanes.

Jason the manager was amazing!! Went out of his way to make sure that my family and myself had an incredible experience. He was very courteous and didn't miss a beat when we needed help or had a question.

I called because I had a few (more than a few questions) and Jason was so polite and patient! His customer service was amazing (it's not like that anymore these days). I'm very appreciative!

Zoe did such an amazing job organizing an event for our company. We brought in a bunch of people, and they had our pizza and drinks ready when we walked in. Thank you so much Zoe and team <3 100% recommend bowlero!

Seemed decent enough. Definitely not my favorite time bowling. Ask about specials before you start. They told me they were just going to open a tab and we could bowl however much we want and then settle up. We bowled three games and there was a special for half off the third game but he said you have to specify that before hand. And the pins kept falling over when it reset. If you have a choice I'd go somewhere else but it's better than nothing.

Staff was very friendly and welcoming. Food was surprisingly good. Scheduling was easy. -1 star, general lack of maintenance going on.

Had my son?s birthday party here on Friday night! He and his friends had an amazing time! The All Star party package was perfect for the size of our party! One of our servers, Brittany, made sure we were well taken care of. Definitely one of the best places to have a good time on any occasion in Fredericksburg!

Best bowling establishment ever... I'm an avid bowler for over 50 years, but this place was huge. 80 lanes, clean from front desk to bathrooms, and great service from kitchen to service at my table.

Horrible. WAYYY over priced. For $44 for 2 hours, you'd expect to be able to BOWL. The equipment is old and doesn't work. 2 of 3 of us bowled the first frame, then waited 15 minutes while the bar was stuck down. Then all the balls kept getting stuck in the back the entire 2 hours. We ordered 2 fries and Mozzarella bites. ... fries took over an hour and the Mozzarella bites came 10 minutes before our 2 hours were up. We were told they would give us 30 extra minutes by 2 different employees..... didn'

I attended Bowlero on 3-6-25 with Spotsylvania high School and Middle School students that are handicapped. The employees were very kind and made perfect accommodations for all the students. I highly recommend taking your children or even your family for a night of fun and entertainment.

10/10 definitely recommend!!! Shout out to Jason for his awesome customer service and positive energy! He made the whole experience better. Thank you!!

Absolutely terrible service. we arrived at 12:15 and we're told we could get a lane at 1 pm after tournament play. After waiting 45 minutes we returned the counter promptly at 1 pm. After the girl finished using her phone only then did she turn to tell us that we would have to go on a waiting list ...AFTER WE ALREADY WAITED 45 MINUTES.

We had yellow light bulbs in the women?s bathroom for at least six months a while back. A toilet in women?s bathroom was broke and leaking water on the floor for about a year. Now the hand drier is broken. They have least installed paper towel. The faucet won't shut off completely. A team member order French fries tonight and never got them. He finally told them to forget it, he didn't want them. The rack on the lanes often take forever to set the pins down. This place is kinda dumpy. The rack has knocked

Nice looking establishment but I've lost count of how many times I've visited this bowling alley only to turn around and leave. They always claim they have no available lanes, yet when I walked through, I saw at least ten open. When I asked, they said the lanes were reserved, but I didn't see anyone waiting to use them. It doesn't matter what day of the week it is, either something going on with leagues or there's too many reservations.

The food & drinks could be better....my nachos came out cold....sent back, bar tender didn't mix our drinks well, music choice could be better as well. The vibe wasn't there but overall it's a clean friendly place

jason was spectacular he made my experience at Bowlero so amazing. He seriously deserves a raise, best employee ever !! customer service was amazing, such a great guy !

Great bowling alley with an even better staff. Was absolutely blown away by how friendly, helpful and polite the staff was on a very-busy Saturday. Was there for an afternoon birthday yesterday -- one of many -- and had a blast. The staff did a great job of accommodating, and it was also very clean and sanitized. There was hand sanitizer offered, and the lanes, food and beer were all great. The dinosaur bowling ball holder was a nice touch. I think the adults might have had even more fun than the kids! But

My mother, daughter, niece and I had a great time! AMF Fredericksburg is huge, clean, and modern, with a wide selection of shoes and balls, and fun digital themes to choose from for our games. We picked ?disco,? and had fun watching the vignettes on the screen with each strike (or in my case, gutter balls.) We had a yummy lunch of chicken fingers and fries, and Angel provided top-notch customer service every step of the way. We'll definitely go there again!

Zoe was an absolute joy! We had the most amazing time and it was all due to her awesome coordination

There was no wait. Drinks were good. Plenty of friendly staff. Will definitely be returning

We went the day after Thanksgiving - it was super busy and under staffed. The staff was wonderful, but we never got our food. Management gave us a little extra bowling time as compensation. I highly recommend having a meal before you go and only order drinks and you'll have the perfect time.

Extremely expensive. It was very busy last night, and I wonder if the other customers were aware of how expensive it is to bowl here. We didn't fully understand the pricing structure, which is kind of complicated (perhaps on purpose). For two hours of sox boers, our bill for bowling (not including food and drinks) was $320. Lesson learned! We will never go back. The inside was nice and newer feeling, but these were the worst bowling lanes I have ever seen - for any price! These are not the traditional wood

Great family activity, always great low key atmosphere - not too fancy an very reasonable prices! HUGE upgrade to get room which was awesome . Would def recommend ! There was only one disappointment since we have small children who are excited by the little things , it was a Friday night so we waited til around 9 or 10 an really thought the kids would enjoy it with the lights off but they never turned the lights off with just the neon lights on an we asked our server an she just said she wasn't sure why th

If I could make them give stars back I would. They treat league bowlers terrible, same lanes break down every week. I have bowled in other Bowlero centers that run so much better than this one. It's a shame, been bowling here for 20 plus yers and this is by far the worst it's ever been.

It was our first time at Bowlero and I was immediately introduced to the entire team including manager and general manager. Everyone at the location was so very helpful and walked me through the process. Both managers were beyond kind and helpful. We thank you and your team for an amazing first time experience!!

Had a great time! Zoe was an amazing help and made our outing so enjoyable!

Bowling is an entertaining way to spend a cold winters day. I am terrible at bowling, but it is fun to try! Get a group together and go out bowling to pass the time! It is always funny when some of you are good, and some of you are terrible, it makes for a fun experience. My group regularly got the pins stuck, and the staff was always very quick to fix the problem! Afterwards we did the arcade which was fun! And a bonus is the bathroom soap smelled like lemons!

Went there on New Year's Day to try to get a few practice games in only to discover they hadn't bothered to oil the lanes. The lane I was on was literally bone dry. I get that it's a holiday, but if I'm having to loft the gutter with my spare ball in order to hit the pocket something is very seriously wrong. Ended up playing only a single game. Waste of a trip.

This must be one of their main ones. 50 total lanes. Open floor plan with concessions built on an open island vice the kitchen concept.

Great place to bowl, better than average food, and clean!

The dividers fell a lot, they were very busy and only had 1 technician. Nice updates inside, but just ok.

Zoe was fantastic and helped organize an awesome event for our group!!!! Can't wait to come back and bowl some more!

My wife and I recently went here for a birthday party for their 8 year old son. So while the 20 kids bowled and had fun a few of us also had to have our own competition match so we bowled a few games (actually one and a half games, they cut us off because of the time)! Since this was a birthday it was a pizza party for 20 kids plus adults. The pizza for the party was not bad but and there was also chicken strips and fries. We ordered two cheeseburger w/fries to go which turned out to be really good (sorry f

This bowling alley is a tucked away spot, but a great time! It's weekend special is great for $30/person for unlimited night bowling! ??

I went there to practice for league play and it was so dark I couldn't see the arrows on the lane. Plus they had annoying and distracting videos which reflected on the lane.

They hosted us for a company event, Zoe made sure that we were taken care of. Tell your management to come here for your next outing

Service was great. Very attentive, they even came over to ensure the lane was working correctly when we began playing. However, the price of the bowling is almost criminal. $80 for an hour of bowling.! Fun night out, but won't be a regular thing at that price.

Clean environment and great place to have fun. Didn't like that you couldn't buy a pitch of soda unless you buy a pizza with it.

Book a birthday party for my daughter?s 8th birthday with 5 of her friends. The price was very reasonable. When we arrived, they had a table set up for us, provided pizza, chicken tenders with fries, cookie cake, ice cream with chocolate syrup and sprinkles for the girls to make their own, root beer and Sierra Mist by the pitcher, all the plates, napkins, spoons, forks and cups were provided and set up! She brought our food at the time we requested and ice cream at the time I requested, set up bumpers for t

I am a little late on my review but I definitely have to give 5 stars. I had my bachelorette party here and the service was better than most 5 star places. My friend was stuck in traffic and requested an additional hr, the manager came to my table, talked with us and let us know what was happening and gave us an hr on him. There was a cookie cake that was cutely decorated and the person serving us was on top of it! This was an AMAZING experience. Thank you to the staff that made this day perfect for me.

Best bowling alley in Fredericksburg. They have bowling specials every night except Thursday; check their website for times and prices. Just don't try to go on a league night.

Bowling was nice. Great atmosphere to go chill with some friends. The staff just isn't friendly or helpful. All were pretty rude and despite it being very slow we got our food 30 minutes after we ordered.

Had a great time played 2 games me my wife brother in law and son... ate some fries and mountain dew.. Always fun to bowl especially on Vaca... Cheers!

You have to meet Zoe! She's amazing! So helpful and kind!!!

Our 4-year-old grandson, his first time bowling!! He was a social butterfly and had an awesome time! So did everyone around him!

Fantastic place, I'd give an extra star if I could. Megan helped me this morning setting a reservation and gave me a good package including food and drinks and my total ended up being cheaper than what I originally had when I tried setting a reservation online. Megan was a Saint and I am so thankful. Later when I came in, Brandon was ultra fantastic as well. I had been late because I had a slight fender bender and Brandon gave me and my group an extra hour of bowling. Very wonderful employees and very welc

This Saturday evening after 9 p.m., we attended the AMF bowling alley in Fredericksburg. On the table after paying we found a flyer that stated there was one flat rate for 2 hours for unlimited games of bowling at the alley. This offer was not given as an option when we arrived. We questioned the staff on duty and they stated that, that location did not honor the flyer that was in that location. We were told the bigger locations we're not allowed to honor the flyer because of corporate. However all other sp

Their new arcade is awesome! We didn't bowl this time but their alleys are excellent too! ????????????

A vast space for fun with bowling. The front desk was extremely friendly and joyful in conversations. Plus answered all my questions on the phone and in person. A good place to bring the family for some fun.

Nice place to go bowling. Definitely take advantage of their nights when they have discounted bowling games. We went on a Friday evening and they were busy, but we were able to play without any trouble. The only reason I gave it 4 out of 5 stars is because they were having trouble with their card machines and had me insert my credit card twice. I checked a couple days later, and sure enough, I was charged twice. When I called about it, they said they couldn't do anything about it and to just dispute it thro

Lanes didn't work, so they moved us. Said they would add time and didn't. We still had fun.

Great time as usual. Staff always friendly and helpful, and the snackbar food is tasty! Sorry this was the last day for the summer special. I hope they do another for the winter, otherwise we hope to see you next year!

Lots of lanes, decent arcade, cheap games, good amount and sizes of balls.

Had a great time with my son?s birthday party on 7/13. We had purchased an extra lane for 4 adults to enjoy during the party for one game. Zoe had said multiple times it was $16 all together for games and $8 for all the shoes together. Found out out at the end that wasn't the case. She was extremely rude when asking for shoes with some of our guests in the party and even at check out time. Everyone else was super kind and helpful.

Always have fun with the kids a great place to take them

Very nice and clean. Little pricey but still fun. Nice staff... food looked good.

I remember going to AMF as a kid and hadn't been back in YEARS! The upgrades in the facility definitely make it a great place to bring family and have a good time. Haven't bowled in a long while, since the Southpoint location closed. Not the best scores, but had a great time!

We had a really great time! We had a pretty large group and no reservation. The staff made sure we got the lanes we needed, and Jason, the manager, did a great job making sure everything went smoothly. I will definitely bring my family back to this establishment soon.

Bowling was great, cashiers great. Management was terrible. They don't honor coupons in person and won't work with you at all. Customer service has gone out the window here. For that reason I'd go bowl somewhere else

Had a wonderful time with my church group. The pizza was dry and the chicken nuggets were cooked too hard. Other than that I had fun.

Lanes tend to have a lot of oil on them so hard to get reaction out of your ball, and pin setters tend to break.

This place is great! The staff is very helpful and the food is great. I have done multiple of my kids? parties here, and they always turn out great. The prices are great and they work with us to make the parties wonderful.

They have a lot of lanes and it usually is Always busy so plan ahead or have backup plans. We always have a great time here. Some of the shoes should be replaced, staff are nice and helpful. The food and drinks weren't bad, it was better than I originally thought. Definitely a place to come for fun with friends/family, or even a date night.

Great place! My family and I had a really nice experience here. The service was great and the food is good! The arcade area is also enjoyable. It's a fun place. ????

The staff was very friendly especially when my son had questions. The staff made sure to check on us to see if we needed any drinks or food right away. We had a blast!

Very happy with this bowling alley! Went two days in a row and customer service was extremely good. The lanes felt as real as it can get and helped me realize that I'm not that great of a bowler????. I highly recommend this bowling alley. The food is good. The bathrooms are clean. The music is not crazy loud and helps you focus if you are there for a serious game but also not too quiet if you are there for a good time. Definitely coming back for as long as I'm in this area working!

We recently celebrated my daughter's 15 birthday here. The customer service was exceptional. Tom, the general manager was pleasant letting us set up a bit early since our area wasn't being used. We asked for an extra lane and were quickly accommodated as there was a free lane next to our party. Ashley was our server and provided great service. We will definitely return in the future.

It was a fun atmosphere. The staff was cordial. The games per person is a little expensive compared to other bowling allies I am use to. It's time to replace some of the bowling shoes for females. They have nice new ones for men. Otherwise if you like to bowl it's a cool place to do so.

Friendly staff, easy to setup bowling

Experienced six or more mechanical failures with the pin sweeper.

Wonderful experience! My friends and I had a great time, and the staff were incredible ??

I just had my birthday there today (have every year since I was a child and I had my bachelorette party here too) the staff has been amazing everytime. Rhiley was so sweet, John (the manager) is amazing! Making sure everything was good and added a Happy Birthday message on the screen, food was yummy and Mariah who was the one that helped me get it all set up was super nice and flexible too. Thank you to everyone that has once again made my day special.

Birthday party was a success but the pizza was horrible and no refills on the soda. They were busy and under staffed. I do not recommend having your kids birthday party here.

That was the first time I have been to this bowling alley in years and I was impressed by all the work they have done. Everything has been remodeled and looks fantastic. The staff is super friendly, very helpful and genuinely seemed happy to see you. There are a crazy amount of lanes and we were assigned 2 lanes in just a few minutes.

We reserved a lane at bowlero Fredericksburg, and it was truly a wonderful experience. From the over the phone booking system, to the employees, and especially the manager Courtney. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. Courtney and her employees were very attentive to our party, And it was overall a great experience!

Its a nice bowling alley just a little expensive 11.50 a game seems high

People are very friendly, new company took over, you can't even take a cup of coffee in and they charge outrageous price. They can serve you a pitcher of beer but you can't get a pitcher of water. Equipment in poor shape always breaking down.

This story hits the character limit. So, me and my girlfriend come in and we talked to a man with an eyepatch. He set us up with the game and takes my card to start a ?tab? (I would like to add that typically when you start a tab, you run something to see if the card is working.) The cost per game and the cost for the shoes were higher that I remember with the previous branding for this location. As of this point in the conversation, I was actually pretty happy. I was thinking about buying a pass and just

The center was nice, big, clean and the staff hard working, on labor day we went without reservation needed.

Everything here is pretty well! The area is always clean, conveniently located in an easy to get to spot, has great food, and an awesome arcade! I took one star off because the last time I went there an employee completely ignored my friend and me (who were waiting to pay and get our shoes) just so he could complain to another staff about a potential customer he just got off the phone with. To me, that just seemed somewhat unprofessional. Other than that, I think this is a great location and most employees

Horrible rip off. Says buy 2 games get 3rd for 50% off. But they tell you you need a tab system when you get there and you pay at the end but then when you go to pay at the end, they tell you that you had to pay for those games at front to get the third 50% off Complete scam will never come again

It was fun, clean, and reasonably priced.

Was here with my three children we had a blast. We paid for two games then got one game free. The acrade was fun too

I've bowled in a league here for the last 10 years. The aesthetic upgrades since bowlero took over are great. But the mechanical maintenance is poor. Our anes broke down 3 of the last 4 weeks - required us to reschedule or wait until other teams finished, making for a very late night. If this weren't the only alley in town, I'd go somewhere else.

Large bowling alley with tons of lanes, a small arcade, and even smaller bar. If you're looking to get your money's worth, however, LOOK OUT. This place is massively overpriced. $10 a game per person, are you kidding me? Plus, our pinsetter was malfunctioning and spit pins back onto the lane. Drinks were overpriced too. We got one fruity drink and a draft beer and it was $20. Avoid at all costs unless you have money to burn.

I purchased the Summer Season Pass Premium and I am regretting the purchased. I have showed up to bowl and am told there is no lane available. Then they recommend that I call to make a reservation. Phone goes to voicemail.

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s it like visiting an arcade today?

It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.

Is it better to go alone or with friends?

Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.

What should I bring to an arcade?

Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.

What’s the best time to visit an arcade?

Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.

Can I meet new people at arcades?

Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.

Are arcades still just for kids?

Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.

Are there events or tournaments I can join?

Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.

What if I’m not great at arcade games?

No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”

Why are arcade prize games so exciting to play?

Arcade prize games are a thrilling highlight in 2025! Claw machines, skee-ball, and ticket-redemption games like basketball offer a rush of skill and chance, with rewards like plushies, toys, or electronics up for grabs. Modern machines feature vibrant lights, digital scoreboards, and responsive controls, amplifying the fun. The lively arcade atmosphere, with cheering crowds and buzzing energy, makes every win feel epic.
