I have made 2 recent online reservations and have had a great experience both times! My 82 year old mother loves to bowl. The staff is so friendly and accommodating. They even put a reserved sign with my name on the table which I thought was a nice touch. French fries are our go to...they are great!
We enjoyed having our son's birthday party here. They have great party packages, which is cool. And I didn't know they'd remodeled, but it looks really nice. The only issue I had was playing phone tag to get the party booked in the first place because you have to go through corporate which I don't love, but once we did connect he was helpful and kind. The party was super fun and staff day of were wonderful and on top of it. They decorated and set up the party table so I literally just had to show up, which
Love coming with my family, my son enjoyed it so much, I ended up putting him into the cyclone league! Every time I go I have the absolute best time! Food is made to order, drinks are refilled for free, the bar area gets a little chaotic, but I enjoyed that as well!
Amazing place. Great workers!!!! The staff is pry the best staff around. And the new cooks are off the chain. Debbie the AGM is amazing. Would recommend this place to any bowler
The worst bowling alley I've been to in the omaha cb area. Lanes haven't been oiled in what feels like a fortnight. Staff was lacking and it took 30 minutes for my friend to be able to pay just to bowl. It looks like bowlers came in bought the place renovated it and then decided it was too much money to maintain the lanes so didn't wanna oil them regularly
This is the only bowling alley my family and I come too. Today we had the alley sampler and shakes which were all great. The staff is always friendly, Sam was who helped us tonight. We had a great time as always!
First time since it being thunderbowl, wow....dark, gloomy decor. We had family in town, had fun, but miss the Thunderbowl vibe. The food area was super busy and the 2 young people were very nice and for bowling alley food, was ok. Only 1 bartender on a Saturday, but could tell not her first rodeo. Very nice people at check-in. Staff, the few that were there had alot of people to take care of, but they were awesome. The prices of everything were high....not the employees fault, but definitely not in our
Bowl on a league here and Lexi is AMAZING! She is so great with our big group, and is so personable. She remembers EVERYONE?S names!! She is always smiling, so kind. Our league night will continue with her amazing service that we receive!
The classic burger was amazing, I wish I could?ve gotten more. The staff there were great, so friendly I wanted to come back the next day. The watermelon fusion lemonade was so refreshing! We got it several times again. I personally wasn't the best at bowling but it was still a fun experience ???? (Affordable)
This place went downhill ever since Bowlero bought it out. Used to have good food, service, prices, and deals on certain days. Bowlero is double the prices, way overpriced, and overtaking small businesses all over. I'd give it zero stars if I could.
Had a wonderful time bowling here, the food was excellent and the staff couldn't have done better. Will definitely be going back soon.
Service was great, so was the band. Daddy Mac & the Flack.... Food left much to be desired. The description on the menu was over the top. However, the flatbread was a little off with the taste of sanitizer or something, maybe freezer flavor? The chicken tenders were good but, small portions. But hey, it's a bowling alley. Not nearly as good of food when it was family owned as it is now corporately owned. I league bowled here for a couple years a few years ago. I'd come here again but would probably eat firs
Bowled here for 30 years now it's all Hispanic with the name to go with it half the lanes don't work food is freezer burnt and the staff is either all LGBT or Hispanic in council bluffs Iowa great job new owners you showed Brunswick just a waist of space that was ounce our past time
Matt and Jenni made our experience so special. A quick family night turned into an incredible experience. We WILL be back. Food was also DELICIOUS!
Nicely cleaned up but food and drinks have skyrocketed and now when you call to reserve a lane?. Know one EVER answers!! So frustrating.
We were really excited about going there to bowl! When we got there, the counter person asked if we were bowling cosmic bowling or per game. I told her I wasn't sure, I turned to talk to my family about it and she made it sound as if I could just pay for cosmic and if we didn't play enough they would adjust it. I was like okay. Then I said we had two little ones thinking they wouldn't be as much as us and come to find out they were. Really!?!? You don't have kids under 5 prices? Anyway, I did loved that the
Staff is great! They really went above and beyond for our party!
I was really excited to visit Bowlero after hearing great things about it, but my experience has been incredibly frustrating from the start. I've tried calling multiple times to inquire about lane availability and to make a reservation, but every time, the phone rings and rings, and nobody picks up. It's like they're completely ignoring their customers. It's incredibly disappointing that a business can't even bother to answer the phone, especially when they're supposed to provide a service that's meant to b
Workers are mean and rude and the food is never cooked right and when I want two lanes, they give me one because they know who I am and they're just being rude and really rude And I feel like you guys targeted us because you know us and really only know us cause we're up here a lot and I will probably not be coming here for a while
Love the retro feel of this Bowling alley. Great vibes. And they have a 100oz beer tower that you can order. Good music too!
Always love the nostalgia of this place. The food is great and the staff is always amazing. Great place to take your friends, family or your first date! Absolutely love the arcade and could spend a whole day there. Sam is an exceptional team member and always makes me feel welcome and excited to get my game on! Nothing bad to say about this place :-)
I had a really good time at Bowlero Council Bluffs! Open lanes and great front desk staff as well as good food options!
Son has left messages with the company to reserve lanes and no one answers the phone or calls back because you have to use the company's crappy answering system. What happens when local owners sell out to a corporation.
Great food, good music and very clean. Unlimited bowling and kids are free.
Lexi has been a an excellent server for our league. Always on top of everything!
Traci is the best bartender! She always makes sure we have everything we need!!
This place is not good if you try calling they will not answer go up there and they don't like to talk to you if you want to ever go there your going to have bad experience will never go back up there again and thunder bowl was way better I hope they go out of business
In the process of ordering our meal. But everything in this dope renevated facility is on point. Spacing between lanes is nice, the throw back 50' style is fun and brings the place to life. Debbie is the epitome of customer service, your awesome love thank you for making my family feel so welcome!!!??????
The manager Sam is amazing. My kids and I love coming here.
Big corporation not locally owned anymore. Glad to hear they're bringing back live music on the patio. Hard to believe the nice locally owned establishment could be run down so quickly by corporate owned facility.
First time here and I was very pleased. Lots to do for a family without getting bored! Very clean and modern looking, more inviting than other alleys I've been to. Looking forward to when I come back :)
Lexi is an amazing server for our bowling league! So attentive and fun.
10/10 bowling alley, fairly cheap, expensive booze, but our fries were cold when we got them.
I definitely recommend this place for some good food and great vibes. The service is great, Sam is always amazing. Came from out of town and was surprised with some live music! Good prices too 10/10.
Great family fun, my boys love going here! They are very friendly and helpful! The food was pretty good and decent pricing!
Bowlero is a lot more expensive compared to other alleys but overall this alley has improved and the new management made our tournament run smoothly this past weekend! The food was really good as well.
My favorite part about thunderbowl is Traci, the bartender! Her customer service is remarkable!!
Had a large group of 12 adults with 9 actually bowling. The staff greeted us the moment we walked in and were quick to get us our shoes and beverages. The facility was clean with newer retro style tables and chairs. The scoring was so easy and automated. Cold beer for sure! Thank you for making our get together even greater!
Great customer service. The manager was very helpful she told me about all the discounts and things they had going on. Made my experience feel very welcoming.
This bowling alley is clean. The new app is easy to use and efficient. The manager was kind and courteous. The staff was diligent and worked quickly to fix the lanes when the pins would get stuck. When the pins got stuck for the third time they quickly moved us over to the next lane to keep it from happening again. The food was good and the service was excellent. Thank you for a fun safe space for the family to play together. I will definitely be back.
Lots of fun. I really enjoyed bowling here. The place seemed decently clean and the lanes seemed to be in good repair. Also there were a lot of options for food and drinks. I would definitely like to go back soon.
they told us it was a 25 minute wait, 1 hour and 30 minutes later and we're still waiting. Very annoying
I was pleasantly surprised of your establishment. My grandchildren live there and we went for a day of bowling. It was so much fun watching them and enjoying lunch. The manager was very accommodating. Next time we are in town we will be taking them for a family outing. Thank you and to the manager Deb.
Food is terrible since it changed from Thunderbowl and is so SLOW! Also much more expensive since Bowlero took over!
I use to love to go here, not so much now. The prices have increased drastically. A lot of the staff seem unhappy. They close earlier than the times stated on the website. They will not answer the phone if you have any questions, so don't even bother trying. The remodel feels like they went the cheapest option. I also have had over oiled lanes. I would recommend driving the little bit extra to go somewhere else.
I was a bit worried as there were a fair amount of 1 star reviews. We went Saturday night and I was very pleased overall. I called and spoke to a person and asked some general questions and then called back to make a reservation w Rebecca. All went well when we arrived and the staff was very responsive to getting us our drinks/refills and food. My family and I would return but here are some minus?s IMHO. There were some food crumbs and napkins laying about on carpeted area and restrooms needed some att
We got there at 1pm on a Saturday and place was almost empty. Great lane. Clean shoes. Great space. An hour later, a party of kids came in and place got busy, but still not bad! Loved it!
Today we had our work Xmas party there. It was easy, great and fun! The manager (Brenda) and the staff were great! I didn't have to set anything up or clean up. It was very affordable and entertaining. The food was great. Everyone had a great time. Like the new ownership!!
Very fun and nice place to go to enjoy time with family or friends! The food is super good aswell as the service at thunderbowl, very kind staff.
The general manager Tommy always goes above and beyond to make sure we have everything we need. He is truly the best.
Since being taken over by new ownership, 3 things have happened. 1, prices have been raised. 2, you only make reservations by pre-paying, so you can be charged a $20 service fee on top of increased prices. 3, no remodel or improvements to location. Never Will I give Thunderbowl any business.
This place was amazing. My son's team went there for bowling. They have it all. A Pro Shop a restaurant/bar.
The customer service was excellent and the staff was extremely friendly. The food was also of good quality especially for being bowling alley food.
Overpriced food, drinks, bowling, don't go on Wednesdays or Thursdays for unlimited bowling because it doesn't exist here.
April is a great server!!
We really enjoy doing our family night at Thunderbowl. We have not been here since it changed hands and I was really disappointed. The food was very expensive and the chicken sandwich was way overcooked. The toilets in the women?s bathroom did not flush and there was no soap in the dispenser. The staff were friendly but appeared a bit confused about what was on the menu.
Traci is the best bartender on Wednesday nights!
This place is an absolute joke! Took forever just to get a lane because the woman up front couldn't get the register to work. She couldn't figure how to ring up our beer, after 30 minutes I went up and got our beer, had to wait forever just to get help to get the beer I paid for. On top of that, the price of everything has gone up. There was a line every where, so your self a favor and just skip this place.
They were very nice, but the prices are OUTRAGEOUS. Literally 10 dollars per person, per game. The new company is price gouging. I miss the days when you could come in with a group of friends or book a party for 150. Those days are long gone... birthday parties are well over 300 now for 2 hours. A party of 12 cost us close to 400 when we added on a lane. Ouch. Staff was very very friendly, not budget friendly at all though. No more pitchers of drinks either... it's 4 bucks a cup now. Something is super wron
I spend a lot of time at Thunderbowl. I bowl on several leagues and some of my grandkids do too. The staff is very friendly. They have an awesome patio and it should be great when they get the music started out there for the summer.
This place used to be great before the bowlero management. First time being back since and everything took forever. Lanes jammed for 2/4 bought games and we had to leave before we could play our third. Tried to talk to manager and was blown off multiple times. As for food, we got one order of chicken tenders and fries and it took 30-45 minutes. Not coming back! There are better and CHEAPER bowling spots in Omaha/Council bluffs area.
Never wrote a review before so should say a lot about my post. Used to go here a lot and now the place sucks. Says they are open till 11 PM, League is over at about 9 but NO open bowling anymore?!?! I have always come on Thursdays for the last 2 Years so I find it ridiculous just because they want to close early, if you want to close at 9:30 CHANGE YOUR HOURS ON GOOGLE AND YOUR WEBSITE. I came here religiously, I will most likely never come back. This was one of the last things to do for ?fun? in this to
A little pricier than I expected for a lane and food. The lane they assigned me also didn't activate and I had to wait in line again to get it activated. The table for it was also covered in trash and dishes and they had no lane service so I had to clean up other people's trash to use the table that I paid for. Food was good and once the lane was working we had fun.
Bad lanes overpriced, no help, at least the former owners tried to run a decent place. New owners are not gonna make it doing it this way
I went with my kids. Very clean environment. Friendly staff and fast services. Food was great. We will definitely be back.
Very pricey- for a family of 4, renting shoes, & bowling 2 games costed us $132.00. Be prepared!!
The food is terrible and expensive. The lanes are perfect! They one guy running everything was amazing
The place seems like it had been renovated recently and didn't not remind me of the last time I had been there one bit once stepping inside
mr david had 10/10 service definitely recommend to everyone
Very updated bowling alley. Great big video screens just added over the lanes, added excitement watching March Madness while bowling. Good entertainment. Debbie has done a fantastic job managing.
My kid had fun ,however not one arcade game gave us tickets, out of 50 credits lol.
Had a great time bowling with my grandson and nephew. When the lane decided not to work, they moved us immediately. The food was pretty good also.
I was hoping that with the remodel and buyout that this place was going to be better. I was sad to discover that it is now severely overpriced. For 2 adults to bowl 20 frames each is $42. The food hasn't gotten any better. For the sampler it is $32 for a bunch of fried items. Bowling here is no longer an option from my family and it shouldn't be for your's either. We had multiple gift cards that had 20 dollars on them from my last bad experience and I can no longer use them outside of the arcade. This wou
I love this place so much. It's like waking up to the smell of waffles and turkey in the oven. So beautiful. Customers treat me like their own kid making me feel like a god. I love this place and will never get bored. I just love this place more than my husband lol
On a busy Friday night, the manager, Victoria, immediately started serving me. I did not realize until later that she was the manager doing what needed to be done to help the staff out. All of the servers were very attentive throughout my meal, but was still visited by Victoria to make sure everything was going well. Having been in the restaurant industry for 20 years, this is a rare experience nowadays. Very much appreciated!
My daughter had a bday party during cosmic bowling. The party package did not disappoint. Plenty of good food. All the employees were very nice. Even the presentation of food and decorations was good. Highly recommend!!!
I'm finding a trend going across the country with the Bowlero Name. Common denominator seems to be overworked and under staffed. Disconnected management, only there for a paycheck and not the customers. Usually higher prices than any neighboring bowling centers. We have the same problems down in Midland, TX. On a side note they are not supportive or friendly to Disabled Vets.
Such a fun place to go! Great food & beer, great arcade, great bowling, great experience! Sam always does an amazing job!!
I haven't been here in over 2 years and I have to say the remodel really makes this place shine! Everything is very modern and clean looking. The kitchen has a nice variety to choose from, the bar is great and has big TV's to watch the game on and the arcade is very nice also. I'll definitely be coming back!
After they were bought out by Bowlero they updated some of the inside. It looks nice. They always seem short staffed and the few they do have get overwhelmed effectively hurting service provided. Unfortunately they are the only place in town anymore
Bring back COSMIC BOWL! Biggest mistake! Was the best thing bringing people in. I get there and nobody is there was worried about not getting to be able to bowl because it's always full for cosmic. But they told us they no longer do cosmic. So we left. Will be going somewhere else.
Traci is the best bartender here!
Concessions are super expensive and cooks slow.
One person working here to handle 50 bowlers and cooking food until the place smells burnt. I have to leave and go and bowl in Omaha because they have more employees working than here.
I should of listened to the numerous ppl I know on leagues that said do not bother going there! This place has been around for YEARS but at this rate it won't be for much longer. Even the staff in McCoy s say it sucks under the new ?ownership? way to expensive, dirty bathrooms, dirty lane areas, & rude employees who seem to hate their life & job. Huge disappointment when it used to be a main attraction in small town CB. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME!!!
I haven't been in to Thunderbiwl in ages, but wow. That place is well managed, clean, and crazy friendly! We went with 54 kids for a school trip it they handled it AMAZINGLY!!! I will 100% be coming back with my family and friends!
Very clean. Very open. Affordable. Food and drinks. Overall easy going atmosphere
I just want to say I was impressed with how Jon was keeping the place in order tonight.. I been here a few times and tonight Jon killed it he was keeping tables clean and answering ? And involved with the customer base and just enjoyable to talk with!!!!
It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.
Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.
Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.
Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.
Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.
Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.
Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.
No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
