Best bowling experience in a long time! We had a nice "waiting area" before our lanes were available (at a pre-determined start time), getting our shoes was simple (and they seemed to be in good shape!). We had three lanes for our birthday group, with tables behind the lanes for seating and snacking. We even got a catering table set up for our event with a few hot snacks, and the group really seemed to enjoy the mozzarella sticks and wings! The Bowlero staff were all especially helpful, attentive, and inf
This place looks like an old bowling alley? It's not exactly modern and lovely like some other bowling places in the area.. But gets the job done? We landed up paying full price, but then figured out that there's a Groupon. The full price was very expensive so I would highly recommend you get the Groupon. Nevertheless, the children had fun. It's not a fancy place. There's lots of parking. They serve average beer.. Overall, we had a good time, but I would definitely plan to go there when I don't land up spen
Not sure how, but 2 games for my family ended up costing $140. Nice clean venue, but can't ever see spending that again. 5 stars for venue, 5 stars for service, 1 star for pricing. Unfortunately that's what'll keep me from coming back.
I was hosting my 11 yr old daughter?s birthday party at this location and if I could give more stars I would! From the moment we arrived everything was on point! Everyone from the party coordinator to the rest of the staff were professional and fun! The kids had so much fun and the food was good too! The pricing for 11 kids was not too much either. This is going to be our new go to place not just for events but just for hanging out!
Today we did a birthday celebration at Bowlero. I had booked for the event online through a smooth process. I took a package which included unlimited drinks, 2 slices of pizza, shoes, bowling lanes for 1.5 hours, 5$ gift certificate and arcade card with 20 pt each. We took our own cake and decorating balloons. Bowlero provided us with the plates, spoons, paper napkins, knife and cake spatula. Event manager came multiple times to check on us. Pizza was served exactly on time and it tasted good. After bowling
My experience was mixed. The staff were pleasant, but the seating arrangement felt a little cramped impacting our overall comfort during our time at this establishment. Would appreciate consideration of this point for future improvements.
It was a good place to bowl. Prices were best i found. I didnt try the food but it looked good.
Went bowling with my friend. It is a fairly simple bowling alley with a lot of lanes. There were lots of balls to choose from and the TV did show a bowling snapshot for each type of point. It was not that expensive, but about $20/game per person, so in total 4 games was about $90. We came on Saturday at around 7:30 pm.
We celebrated my son's birthday here. The woman, Estrella, who assisted me with the booking was awesome. She made sure to answer any questions I had. We arrived at the venue 30 minutes earlier than our scheduled time. Chad is wonderful. He greeted us with a smile and let us know how we'd be checking in for the event. He then introduced us to Josh who was our event coordinator. Josh confirmed the food choices for our event and then let us sit at our lanes while we were waiting for the guests to arrive. Our g
The groupon offers are great. However, the staff are like zombies. All I smelled in here today was overcooked/ burning food. Our food was horrible and the line took forever. I wasted almost 40 minutes of my 2 hours bowling standing in line for a beer.
We had a birthday party today at cary location and had a special request fr gluten nd dairy free pizza. Onsite manager made an extra effort to make sure it can be prepared. Thanks so much! It might look a small effort but made a day fr kids who can't have a normal pizza with their friends!!
Been going here since the 90's and this is the best it has ever looked. Best maintained lanes in Wake county, not like those social bolwing alleys Great time, had a blast!
We had my son?s birthday party here and everything was very easy and the staff were so nice and helpful. Josh was our main contact the day of but all staff were amazing. The kids had a wonderful time bowling, the food came out plated and plentiful at the decided time, and they helped with extra plates and cake serving tool. The kids loved the arcade games to end the event. And we didn't have to clean up! Very hands off and easy for us and I would recommend for parties in the future.
Nice place they have remodel, good drinks, friendly service is kinda slow but nice an friendly once they get to you. Also i feel like they could've spaced out the tables a little more, not much breathing room
Friendly and helpful staff. Always clean, good air conditioning. We like to go to play the arcade games even more than the bowling! Halo, motorcycle and race car games are a hit, also air hockey and hoops shoot. Wednesday is half price games!
Had a killer time here! I haven't been bowling in gosh, I don't know how long, forever! I will say that my game could have been a little better, haha. The employees were attentive, which is a good thing. Decent crowd here especially during a Holiday and a Hurricane! Will come back. Thanks, AMF :)
The staff was friendly, let us start our reservation early, and surprised us with free cookies just to thank us for coming by. Absolutely will be visiting again.
Pretty standard bowling alley. Average costs for the area. Bartender made great drinks!
The food is really good for a bowling ally. The staff are laid back enough to make it comfortable but also attentive to needs. It's a cool place to bowl during the week or weekend! ??
Great vibes, staff, and drinks! The appetizer I had, which was cheese sticks, was underwhelming; burnt and dry. The playlist also could use some updating. Otherwise, it was fun and I would come again.
First time here this past weekend with a group of about 26, last minute, no reservations. The staff was so accommodating and friendly! Noreen helped make our time there extra special and fun! She tended to us throughout the night and resolved any lane or technical issues right away and with a smile! They played great music all night, food and bar had amazing service too! We will definitely be back with friends!
Great bowling alley - reasonably priced and kept very clean. But I was definitely concerned about the amount of people not following safety regulations in regard to Covid-19. Masks are not enforced at all and several staff members wore masks incorrectly.
Great alley. Manager and staff was super friendly.
I have only had bad experiences with bowlero Cary. I had a league here and their lanes one time chewed up my ball and it took the alley forever to have it resurfaced. Also, their lanes constantly break down and have technical issues and they won't even give you a different lane to replace it most of the time. They are also chronically understaffed most of the time so it takes forever for any of the lanes to be fixed and there isn't anyone at the front counter for long periods of time. Terrible place, I do n
Clean older bowling alley. Helpful staff. Nice experience.
Nice friendly staff that wants to satisfy the customer. Lanes are a bit too oily for my preference, but i still had fun with friemds a nd family
Love this place I was whit my wife and my daughter people there 110 percent kind and helpful
Recently, we had our sons 6th Birthday Party here. I had initially viewed their packages online a time or two and was contacted personally by a scheduler to personally go over everything the plan included and # of kids for the party. Price was Fair for the 2 hrs of bowling (shoes included) along with food and the cookie cake for the B-Day boy. Not to mention each kid getting game cards for the arcade here (note this does not come with every package). When it came time for the event we had some no show for o
Staff amazing! Proshop bowler loaned me one of his own balls when mine were stuck in another city! Desk people super helpful and friendly. WISH the computer system worked flawlessly but, both times I was there, my group was relocated due to machine or computer fault. And did ANYONE think about putting tablet/entry keypads BELOW THE EXACT line of sight of everyone sitting and watching their teammates' bowl? Not kidding. The computers are EXACTLY in line with the pins and 80+% of all observers' view when seat
This place is cozy and great ambiance. Prices are reasonable and the staff is very friendly. I would definitely recommend for people around cary for fun evenings!
Tl;dr: best lanes/pricing/staff/vibes we've experienced in the Triangle since Village Lanes in Durham closed This is probably the best Bowlero I have been to in the Triangle. Lanes were nice and lines were quick-moving. Music was awesome. Was super easy to reserve a lane online (& use a discount code). Food & beer was good. Every single employee we encountered was kind, positive, efficient, and helpful from the check-in counter, to food/bar, and those walking around and assisting with any lane-side needs.
I had a wonderful time here. The service was excellent. We were in Lane 1 which gave us the freedom of acting crazy on the end instead of the middle. I had a drink from the bar which was superbly made. I will make sure that I return. I had a great time!
Nice place, but crowded!
The place was packed with obnoxious people and staff who kept intruding for no reason. The lane next to us lacked understanding regarding my small kids hanging around the area. The staff was super intrusive and they weren't needed nor called. Paid for 3 games and it ended before the 3rd game was over. Worst bowling alley I've been to.
Nice place but need upgrade for the seats
Great little Sunday evening with the fam. Not too crowded, lights, pleasant music, gentle on the pockets?????
Great deals on week nights. 15$ wed night unlimited bowling also covers shoe rental. Had fun blowing with fam. I do have 1 comment though poor customer service.
So many lanes and good food nice place for young adults not really that many kid things to do since it has a bar. Honestly don't bring your kids if they're gonna be half way in someone else's lane.
Bowlero website promotions announced Kids Fest via email blast, which I received on Friday 08/02. I clicked the link within the email on the Bowlero website, the. Googled Bowlero in my area and Cary Bowlero came up. I called the Cary location and inquired if they were participating in the Kids Fest! The front desk representative was unaware and transferred me to another individual to answer the question. A enthusiastic female employee answered the call and happily responded YES we are, we have promotional a
Clean lanes, they are super slick, well oiled. The food is the standard frozen fair. Many ball sizes to choose from from 18 to 6 pound balls.
Really nice renovation but is expensive. Similar pricing to the movie theater.
Great vibes, plenty of room, and great bartenders. We loved it.
Had a great time. I went Tuesday for unlimited bowling (including shoe rental) 8-midnight for $16, drink specials on weeknights $3-$5 beer and liquor. bar snacks were cheap too for decent portions Staff was kind and remembered my order. Will definitely be back.
Amazing time there last night with my friend group! The service we received was great and was very consistent! Great job to the manager Barrett for helping out with our large party! The cooks Isla and Brent made sure our order was correct and the food was delicious!! The bar and bartender Nikki and George was very fast with our orders and the drinks was great!! All around wonderful experience and we will definitely be back!! If you are in the Cary area this is definitely the place to go!!!
I took my 6 year old son here to go bowling and it was great! Dan the Man took great care of us and went above and beyond to make our visit enjoyable. He is the reason I am writing this review and he was awesome. Maybe a tad pricey in my opinion but that's how it goes I guess. Thanks Dan!
I love coming here because it's closer than most bowling alleys and I'm an avid league bowler. But everytime I come here my balls are always getting stuck and it throws me off from concentrating on getting better on my off days. The staff is friendly, the food is great and of course the vibes are amazing but it's hard to enjoy myself when I can't even bowl a full game without my balls getting stuck
My husband and I recently came here for date night and we had a blast!!! Staff was super friendly and fun to talk to. We did the buy 2 games get 1 free deal which also came with a free arcade game card so we got to play some games afterwards too. Has the perfect mix of modern and retro feel. Will be back for sure!
Went on a Friday night and it was like 10 per game and 5 per shoe rental. My boyfriend and i played the air hockey table. Friendly staff tho.
I had a great time bowling here. The shoes were in good condition and the lanes were also. They have concessions and an arcade. $10 per person per game and without shoes. 29$ for unlimited bowling per person including shoes.
Very fun! Clean, the employees were nice and helpful. The music was a mix of older 2012-2015 pop. Very kid friendly but they had very delicious drinks for adults! I'd recommend.
We bought a summer pass from this store which is free for 2 games everyday. They suddenly changes the terms and say we can't play on Saturday after 4 pm which they didn't tell or had this term when i first bought the pass which is a month ago. We also seen the terms and conditions on their website and they deny it says its their store policy. Also the staff is very rude.
In was really great to be able to make a lane reservation and pay ahead of time. When we got there our lanes were waiting for us. We bowl at AMF in Cary as is nice to be able to have a beer, or cocktail with we enjoy the evening. We also look forward to being able to not have to worry about food if we need something to eat... Unfortunately this is where they let us down. We had booked 2 lanes for 2.5 hours as we were celebrating a birthday. We were kind of counting on being able to order some food.
We had a birthday party at this location and the kids had a lot of fun. The managers and staff were very accommodating and attentive (Thank you, Caroline and Mike!). The fruit platter was amazing! The only downfall to using the lanes is that the guard rails need to be lifted manually (a manger would need to do that) and therefore they need to stay elevated for everyone playing in that lane. Overall we had a great experience!
Had a great time! Plenty of options for food and drinks and the food is actually good!!
Thanks to Bowlero Cary for accommodating our team at the last minute when our regularly scheduled team building event was rained out. Bowlero opened early for us and provided a very nice breakfast continental breakfast buffet with excellent pastries and an assortment of fruit and beverages. The staff was beyond friendly and our team enjoyed a morning of bowling.
Had a great time with the parents and the young ladies from our mentoring group (Curvy Honeybees). The lanes and facilities were clean and the food was hot and fresh. They really made the effort to make sure our group was comfortable and had a great experience. They were able to make sure all participants had shoes and proper equipment. They were short staffed but they made up it for it by being accommodating and pleasant.
The set up isn't fantastic. There wasn't enough chairs for the people in our lane. Each lane dealt with the same situation so there were people who had to stand at each lane which made it even more cramped. It was over $40 for 3 of us to play one game and rent shoes. It just seemed like an overpriced location with nothing special going on. The gutter guards weren't automatic, they had to be left up for everyone the whole game.
good family atmosphere, the waiters are attentive
Absolutely horrible experience. 15 minutes to check in at 3:30 pm and get a lane, then have to wait forever to get a drink at the bar and at 4:30 on a Saturday the food area is closed so nothing to eat. Dude with gray hair and a ponytail needs to take some customer service classes or find another job which doesn't involve people. Finished with our game of bowling and turned in our shoes. Then told that I don't check people out (ponytail again) and you have to get back in line to pay. The line was already w
Facility was clean. Our lane screwed up a few times, but the staff was quick to fix. It was a little pricey, but fine for an afternoon date activity
Edited as of 11/16 from 5 stars to 1 star. We made a reservation over the phone, specifically asking if we were able to reserve an end lane to accommodate one of our party's bowlers. We were told yes, as long as we prepaid and waited an additional 30 minutes to arrive. Once we arrived we informed the employee about our reservation, specific need, and asked if there would be a second available lane. There was not an accompanying lane available, which was understandable, but there was also no end lane availab
Really nice clean place to bowl but the food and bar closes as hour early which is inconvenient. Overall nice place to bowl newer lane and nice animation on screen between plays.
Had our son?s birthday party there today and both managers working were wonderful! They checked in regularly to ensure everything was going well and were very patient with all of the kids. Very clean and everything was set up great for us. We love this AMF and highly recommend it!
My date and I came here and had the best night. Everyone from the manager to the bartender were genuinely the friendliest people. George was the manager on duty, and went above and beyond to make sure we had a great night. Definitely will be coming back soon.
Great first experience at the lanes. There are lots of lanes and even though it isn't cheap by any means, it's definitely worth a good outing with friends or family. The staff is super friendly. We didn't try any food options but I could hear other people appreciate it, so it should be worth a try! Overall, great experience
The staff are really friendly and helpful with scheduling and planning events. I called a couple of days in advance and they worked with me to get lanes reserved with no hassle or trouble. They are also flexible if you have uncertainty about group size when planning an event, which was really helpful. The location is clean and well maintained, the atmosphere is good and the food is tasty and convenient. Highly recommend!
The place is clean, the staff is friendly and helpful. I took my 4 grandsons for an afternoon of bowling and time in the arcade. Snack bar is overpriced. Eat before you go. The arcade was limited, and the games are overpriced so much so that a $25 card lasts 30 minutes at most. They could lower prices at both snack bar and arcade to give their customers a fun experience without costing a fortune.
I don't understand how the customer service fell so far below par in a year. I completely understand if employees are off their ?A? game, especially if it's very busy and short staffed. However, when the manager refuses to accommodate with simple things such as tables and the lack of food served an hour late with no explanation nor apologies from the manager, it really forces you to explore other options moving forward. It's a shame because our employees loved celebrating our company holiday parties here ye
Thank you AMF South Hills from The Taylor Anderson Home Team! You helped us throw an awesome client appreciation event! It went so well, we've decided to make it an annual affair! The staff is friendly, prompt, available, and accommodating. The facility is very clean and the party planning process was easy! I'd highly recommend this location for any birthday parties, corporate events, etc.! Fun for all ages and family friendly!
Great food and overall experience! Kind staff as well. Been here multiple times for a college class and have no complaints!
Classic bowling alley feel with nice score screens and keyboards. Lanes were decent and they have a pretty good bar selection. Solid bowling experience, only gave 4 stars because the food service score was a little low for comfort. We had a birthday group there and the group experience was fantastic. They were very accommodating, gave quick responses, and took care to make sure we had everything we needed.
We held a company event here for a few hours. Everyone had a great time. Lanes were nice, spacious tables and the fajita buffet was super tasty. We even played a few arcade games in between bowling.
First time bowling in 15 years. A group of friends (50-65 years old) met there for an evening of friendship and fun. The manager was very helpful in resolving an online booking issue., and he checked on us multiple times to make sure everything was going good. The porter checked on us multiple times to see if we needed anything. All the workers that I dealt with were friendly and attentive. The only thing negative I would say: This is a very old bowling alley (I used to come here 45 years ago as I grew up j
This bowling alley is in a great location for my family and I. We love the atmosphere, everyone is very friendly who works here and makes great food and drinks. My son always runs over to the arcade and seems to be really good at the claw game. Overall it's a great time whenever we go. Absolutely recommend for parties.
My friends and I had such a great time at AMF in South Hills! The general manager, Mike, was amazing and was a fantastic host! We ended up getting the super bowl package, that included bowling for 2 hours, shoe rental, pizza, wings, another appetizer of your choice (we had the Mac and cheese bites), and 2 drink tickets each (6 of us total). The food was more than enough and amazing! We will definitely be back! Highly recommend!
It was ok. The lane didn't work at first but, they handled it immediately. The food was decent but not great. The atmosphere was cool. Your typical Saturday lady's night event. Dark, black light, loud music, entertainment. The prices were a little steep but, understandable. I would def go again!
Even tho they were working on the lanes, it was very loud and dusty from all the sanding of the wood. It was still a fun experience however I feel that they should have offered a small compensation for us having to deal with that. Overall still a great place to bring your family, the staff was very friendly.
Very mellow and fun atmosphere. Nice ventilation too as in some bowling alley have stuffy feelings to it . Great time would definitely go back .
Little man was scared of the noise. They let us go at the other end where they had no one, and he had a blast. Staff were great. Prices were reasonable. Sad the food area was closed/limited but they were really nice about it. Will be coming back.
I was celebrating my birthday and booked bowling reservation online. Was an easy process. I arrived early at the bowling alley and Barett was amazing with helping with with reservation, giving us great lanes and made sure everyone was happy. Such an amazing guy. Once we got to the lanes we decided to order food and Faith was so nice. Helped us pick great food and even brought it all to our table everytime we would order. After we ate and bowled a little we decided to get some drinks. Chris and Harrison were
Depends on what you want. I'm sure it's a nice spot for a fun time. However, do not bowl in leagues here. Do not bring your personal ball here. Lanes constantly break down, and they're so dirty. Clearly, there is no work being done to make the lanes better, but it does look nicer. Staff does the best they can with what they've got.
We had an awesome time at AMF Lanes! The shoes were clean (I usually have my own) but, we decided last minute to go bowling while we were already out. While this place is still big, it is a little smaller than what I am accustomed to. Nonetheless, the selection of bowling ball sizes were readily available. The food and drinks were tasty. Nice, comfortable atmosphere, restrooms were clean. I liked the fact they had pool tables. My apologies, for not taking pictures to post due to last minute planning. Next t
This was a super laid back place with a crowd of people to make it fun, but not too overly crowded. The staff member that gave us our rentals was nice and upbeat with casual conversation and the other patrons seemed to be enjoying themselves. It was almost as if Covid was a distant memory from the far flung past. Masks in and masks out, but none to be seen really while we bowled. Some patrons kept theirs on or lowered on the face. Most did not due to being in groups that they came in with. Social distancin
What's the point of getting practice game for a league bowl if they force you to bowl in the dark? So dumb. Good managers make accommodations for good customers. Shouldn't be too complicated to turn lights on for one lane for one game. Will be looking at other alleys
Used to come here with some buddies from Hope Community Church to bowl in a league. The lanes were smooth, the beer was good, and we always had a good time. The score controls were easy to do too. We also went here as part of my best friend's bachelor party. Smoked cigars in the parking lot to celebrate.
The staff here make this place great. The manager on duty, Caroline and the bartender (sadly I didn't get or forgot her name) were both super friendly and accommodating. I can't speak on things like lane or ball quality because we were there to talk and have fun, not for true competition. Thanks for helping us have a great time!
Went on a Sunday after 6, so $2.50 games is nice. Not a bad deal. Lanes look like they haven't been touched since 1980. Went to bar for beer, was only person in there. Bartender took 3 minutes to even acknowledge me. Probably because there were headphones in. I asked for specials, there was no verbal communication, just handed a flyer. Overall okay experience, customer service skills weren't shown. Will probably be back.
We went for my niece's birthday party and had the best time. My brother bought one of their birthday packages so we had plenty of food and beverages. The food was really good and the service was even better. We had two different employees checking on us the whole time we were there and making sure we had everything we needed. It was a great experience and from what I understand much cheaper than other bowling alleys in the Cary area for what you get.
It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.
Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.
Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.
Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.
Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.
Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.
Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.
No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
