Customer Reviews

Great atmosphere, with TVs, music, mood lighting. They of fenugreek ball bowling and an arcade. The food came quickly and was good (standard nachos, chicken nuggets, fries). The only downside is the cost. It cost almost $7 to rent a pair of bowling shoes, then they charge per game rather than by the hour... And the bowling device jammed on us 3 times (lane 23). So two of us paid over $100 for only an hour there plus two appetizers!!! I won't go back because it's too expensive, despite how nice the venue is.

We had a good overall experience. The lane and scoring system all worked good. The reservation process was easy and the lane was ready right on time. All the staff we nice and we all felt the food was good quality and size. They have small gaming area for kids as well. Tons of tv as well. Only negatives were amount of wait staff you work with. Their all nice but don't really take ownership of your group and no really knows what your ordered. It was a Saturday night during college football and they h

Wow?first time at this Bowlero and I'm so glad we came! Everything was on point?the customer service, the food, the drinks, the vibe? just awesome all around. Huge shoutout to Jamal! He seriously went above and beyond for us. From the moment we walked in, he greeted us with a big smile, got us checked in fast, brought out our food and drinks in no time, and still managed to check on us even as things picked up. It's so rare to get service like that these days, and it really made our day. We'll definitely b

0 stars for everything you can imagine! We went there to have fun with our family and friends and we all left very disappointed. Lane 27 was completely malfunctioned. We tried to get the attention of management/staff and they were not fixing the issue. It was just not fun to play like that.( Attached pictures of how our lane was) then, I went to the men?s bathroom and it was disgusting, blood everywhere.. I don't even want to know what happened ! The bar is extremely expensive, $16 dollars 1oz (very small)

Always clean and most of the arcade games work fine. Bowling is always available.

A good place to have a child's birthday celebration. You can rent bowling lanes and have food catered for a fee a little expensive finger food chix tenders, fries ,hotdogs, pizzas, and drinks was good has a hot serving area.

My fiancee and I decided to visit this location for a date night this evening. Upon entering we walked up to the counter were a frantic white women approached the counter ignoring the line by pushing ahead of everyone. She motioned the woman behind the counter (Genova) and moved on. As we remained waiting patiently Genova never looked up to acknowledge us as patrons waiting to pay to get shoes/lane etc. Then suddenly Genova left the counter and still did not acknowledge us and walks to the other side of t

This place needs some improvements. The lanes are not very well built and break frequently. The first time, the ball retrieval system didn't work on lane 8. Also, the service here was NOT good. They take forever bringing out food and drinks, and the staff lied to us TWICE and tried to gaslight us when they forgot to make one of our drinks. First they told us they never made the order, then they said we had already received it (which we obviously didn't). They say that they're hiring but barely staffed with

Last night our group of 30 women had an incredible experience at Bowlero! Thank you, Wayne! He went above and beyond to make our bowling event unforgettable! From booking the lanes to accommodating our specific needs, Wayne ensured everything ran smoothly. The lanes were fantastic, the atmosphere was amazing, and Wayne's hospitality made us feel welcome from start to finish. Thank you, Wayne, and the Bowlero team, for an incredible experience.

Wow , what a difference from the one on Gaithersburg.?super nice staff and lots of fun with the kids and family.

This was the worst experience I've had out in decades. If i can rate zero stars that would be the rating. The staff behind the check in / shoe counter were nasty, unkind and their service was non existent. Prices are exorbitantly expensive-food is disgusting , service slow. What a shame to be taken to the cleaners, treated like trash all while trying to have fun with your kids.

Witnessed a manager grab two 13 year old kids and drag them off the lane for no reason. They never did anything wrong, he said that they were messing around. The kids kept asking, ?what did we do? then he yelled ?Leave!? Worst place ever. Do not bring your kids here

It's clean in general, and I'm impressed with how nice they keep the restrooms. I've had problems having to go back four different shoes because the laces were knotted and I couldn't open them wide enough to get them on. We've ordered pizza there three times, and every time it was very different. I guess consistency problems do suggest that they make the pizza actually at the restaurant as opposed to using mass-produced frozen, so that's nice. And the shoelace thing seems more like a bowling alley problem i

Vibe and location: Definitely good vibes and location premium, almost 2 miles away from downtown Bethesda which creates a very good environment for a lot of visitors. Quality of service and food: that where we split ways, if you are looking premium, look somewhere else, food is below average and price is certainly above average. Thank you Bowlero Bethesda :)

I like this place, but the lanes break down an unacceptable number of times which is a bit of a buzzkill. Currently sitting here at lane 6 for the third time waiting for our thing to get fixed; broken! Good food though. Try the buffalo cauliflower. Straight??????

I went for the first time and it was great. Unlimited games was so much fun, and employees were soo friendly. I definitely recommend it and will be going back!

A fun place to bring the kids, or to hang out with friends. They also have a good selection of beer and decent pizza. A bit on the pricey side though.

The place is pretty good overall, but customer service was poor. It was hard to find anyone (the front desk was empty for a long time). Also, we were placed on the wait list when we got there.

I came here for my friend's birthday party. This place is horrible. I request a 50% refund because we had a horrible experience here. We tried out best to make up for it by continuously asking the workers to fix our lane. Guess what- the problem repeated 5 times. After that, we asked to look for a new lane and they couldn't give us one. We felt really bad because we were just trying to have a good time here and not one of the workers could suggest moving lanes before we asked them. After 20 mins, they gave

Came here on a Monday evening and everything went great! We got an amazing deal through groupon and ended up only paying $36 for 2 hours, with shoes included. Everything seemed clean, there was a variety of food and it was just like any other decent bowling location. It might have been different during a busy day, but we had a great time!

We visited Bowlero on a Saturday afternoon with kids. There are 34 lanes and we did not have to wait. They have kids youth and toddler sized shoes. Food and alcohol are available for purchase. The food is a little expensive. They also have some arcade games. The free parking lot on site is a nice bonus. I would come here again with my kids.

It's good place to Bowl they offer unlimited Bowling where you can enjoy with your Friends good parking and good food

Food was really good the staff was friendly and fast the lanes were clean but the beer is a little pricey.

My friend wanted to go bowling to celebrate his birthday weekend. We had pizza and cauliflower bites. Some of the bites were a little salty but most of them were tasty. The atmosphere was packed with kids birthday parties but the moved us to an area not too busy. Eventually, we couldn't avoid kids moving next to us. It would be nice to have an adult only time frame. Overall, we had a great time and the service was great!

Great location. All you can play for 25 dollars each player. Close at midnight, tho.

Nice location. Arcade area is smaller than most but all games worked. Food was extremely high 3 sets of wings with fries and 2 sprites was $82

i was very disappointed with my visit there tonight. even though at the start, they told us it would be an hr wait, but they will try to get us in earlier. Nothing happened till 1.5 hr later, and i had to ask forcefully to get a bowling lane, and once we got the lane, it was not functioning properly and not counting our scores. the bar staff were nice and polite but while we were waiting we ordered drinks and cripsy claiflower which also took 45 mins to arrive. cauliflower was overly fired not flavorful. i

We've come here a few times over the past decade. They are almost done with some worthwhile upgrades, including an expanded menu. The staff was very nice (especially the Friday bartender), but it was clear the folks at the check in desk were still learning the ropes. We were definitely disappointed that the arcade -- which is small but awesome -- was not working. We look forward to coming back soon, when hopefully the upgrades will be finalized.

It is a nice place to bowl. Clean place with an attentive staff. The only thing I didn't like was that the bowling balls looked like a they had been carved up with a chainsaw!

Very modern and with good food, bowling and video games. The service was friendly and the parking easy. We celebrated a birthday and it was perfect for all the age groups involved. They will play your videos and display pictures on their big screens if you bring in a DVD.

KUDOS to Mr. Malik for his professionalism and hospitality!!! Thank you Ms. Tiffany for your excellent service! My family's experience here was wonderful!!! Note, I would pass on the food due to the portion size and costs.

Just left the establishment. Ordered $21 in food I did not receive, and the manager who may have been intoxicated. Refunded $9 an Some change. The female server who served me and my wife agreed to what was owed, but the manager refused due to his either lack of basic math and / or anebriation first and last visit

Great bowling alley. A lot has changed since I was a kid when I had to do all the scoring by pencil and paper. With large screen TV's, a full bar, arcade, and kitchen this is a fully equipped alley. The staff was friendly and prices were reasonable comparatively.

Waited 45 minutes for an overpriced milkshake that was mid ash. Place was disgusting, music was horrible, bowling machine broke multiple times, nobody was working at the bar, and it smelled bad.

This place is a dump. The lanes are not regulation, they aren't oiled, and they are very dirty. I brought my own ball and a brand new pair of bowling shoes. When we were done the shoes were filthy and gummies from all of the dirt on the floor. (See attached picture). It has been so long since they cleaned the place there are dust bunnies. (See attached picture).I spoke with Andrew about how dirty my shoes were and he told me that the person who rented the lane was told that a person should not use their ow

I came in to the bar today and was seated with a server named Charlene M. Today, I order my food, received my bill and paid my full amount tab before paying a tab of bowling with a group I was with. After playing our due two hours of bowing and exiting the establishment this employee (with two personal of her friends) followed me outside, approached our group and demanded ME personally to pay for a tap that was paid for (the food I paid for at the bar) . I told her that I paid for it, I had a receipt and t

Nice spot. The people are excellent - friendly, helpful, fast. Mgr willing to grab a mop to catch a spill. The room lighting is set dark - it's a party vibe, not a sports activity vibe (even at late lunch). Dark enough to be a tripping hazard - not kidding. Recent upgrade on scoring system / display (the old was still good). Good bar, decent beers. Bar food not up to snuff. I don't arcade, so don't know.

It has good service but it's run down and there are apparently no plans to repair anything. Pins often aren't reset or it skips players. Bar drafts are out of service. Etc.

Went toddler bowling with two other couples this past weekend. Was NOT the place to bring your kids - even around 6-7pm. Service was extremely slow even when it wasn't busy, and they ran out of multiple dishes we ordered, only to find out 3-45 min later. Some of the staff was very nice, and the kids had a good time - so that was good. That said, don't waste your time here unless you're a teenybopper or college kid who doesn't care about decent customer service.

We were very disappointed with the bowling experience. We paid $118 for about 30 minutes, but the lane wasn't working properly. After my friend finished their turn, my turn wasn't set up correctly?some of the balls were missing. This really impacted our experience, and we couldn't enjoy it fully."

the staff and the management team were great and provided excellent services. the arcade is nice and had some vintage games which brought us back in time. The center is great and love the special that Bowlero had to offer in the company. The vibe and hospitality at this center is bringing us back in the days. I would to thank Chino the manager and the management team also his staff for giving us this opportunity to have a great time with friends and families. We will definitely come back and recommend our g

The bowling frame of our lane kept giving us issues. We had to reset it every 10 rounds. If your party is bigger than 4, it'll get quite congested in the sitting area of the just 1 lane. The ambience is amazing and it gets busy at weekends in the evenings. We visited this place because we had a Groupon.

We had a reserved two lanes for a party for a staff holiday party. The package was over $700 and included two lanes, shoes, 2 pizzas, 3 appetizer-style trays, a salad, and 3 types of fountain drinks. One of lanes kept giving us problems. Our salad came and then we waited about 45 minutes to get the rest of our food. We were never given utensils or drinks until I had to hunt someone down who said he'd bring them and then we didn't see them again for another 15 minutes. At one point I looked around for a

Love the atmosphere lived the food and the drinks were good but took awhile to come. Friendly staff and modern lanes with great music and plenty of huge tv screens

Great place to hang out and have fun with friends!

We love Bowlero Bethesda. Great spot for kids when the weather isn't great. Good food, drinks, service. Equipment is maintained pretty well and bathrooms are clean.

They have several highly active wasp nests in the bases of the trees lining their property and the front sidewalk. It isn't safe to walk to, or around this location; especially if you have small children or pets with you. I guess wear long pants and bring your own wasp spray if you're determined to bowl.

This is a fun place for bowling with family and friends, with food and beverages also available. Plenty of free parking

Great experience! Soooo fun, kind & helpful & attentive staff. We went for a party for our co-worker. Highly recommend, the food was excellent & we had terrific fun.

The place is old need to be updated the shose they gave me was worn out.I kept slipping almost falling the sodas was water down

Good place for Dates and hangout. Has a photobooth, games to play, bar, food and a nice bowling place. Definitely recommend

Nice good, large spacious place. Available open free parking within. Friendly staff. Bowling shoes are relatively new. Con. Food takes a little longer to come out. There are also a couple but rare glitches with the scores on their monitor, and one of our lanes shut 15 minutes ahead. Those are minor issues that could have been taken care of had we called for help. So I still give them 5 stars. Thanks

It's a good place to hang out with friends. And the price is reasonable.

I love it here. It's my favorite place to bowl

The facility itself was clean and well-maintained. The bowling lanes were in excellent condition, and the atmosphere was lively with neon lights and upbeat music, creating the perfect ambiance for a fun night out. The lanes also had helpful bumper options for kids, making it family-friendly.

We ran into some malfunctions with our lane. The issue resolved themselves but slightly changed our scores. The drinks and beer are a little expensive for what they are. The interior is very nice with nice decor and is very clean. Great and friendly staff.

Good bowling hall the place is cozy and the stuff is friendly...the prices are expensive

The service was good, but the balls got stuck several times, and we had some issues with our drink orders. That said, it's a fairly clean bowling alley and definitely serviceable for a day of fun!

I would give them 0 stars if possible. This bowling alley closed 20 minutes early because their technology ?automatically? shuts off 20 minutes early without warning before they close. I feel ripped off, I feel cheated and I feel that the management is failing its customers by lying to them about their closing time. They made us pay extra for drinks and bowling before ripping us off by ending our game well before they said they would close. I am deeply disappointed and feel disrespected by the meager compen

Horrible experience if i could give 0 stars I would. We had 20 minutes left of playtime and were told that we couldn't play anymore because another party had arrived. No-one told us the lane was reserved before we started playing and they wouldnt let us play on any other lanes. Manager was great and was trying to find a solution but others had attitudes. I understand if they told us before hand but the fact that your still pulling us out of our lane even though we werent informed before is kind?ve ridiculou

Fun afternoon. The chicken strips tasted like my mom made them. I might go back just to eat them, no bull. They were not breaded, just battered and fried. So tasty and fresh. I was shocked. Sadly for us, the local school was out and a kid was having a party. I love kids but not when getting away from mine on a date with hubby. They were rolling on the floor in our lane and all over. The man at the register was great. He helped us get checked in between the large kiddie party and kept thanking us for our pat

The manager that was there Monday night( I think his tag said Jess) He did the absolute best to be every hat in there and I love seeing people in high places doing their best to help his crew get through the late night rush, because he could?ve sat in the back and watched the young crew drown. Best energy ever! It's the perfect spot for families, date night, reunions; it's the perfect busy-intimate setting

This will be my last time ever going to anything related to Bowleros. If you want them to charge you a month later and play with your hard earned money the go there. I'll will never ever step a foot inside for a place that would play with your money that you work hard for. I understand that if I paid for something take it now or a few days later but a month later is unacceptable!!!

Extremely rude and inconsiderate people. Tried bowling with different deals different days of the week but there's always issues and it's always overpriced for the experience you get! Also no regard for the residential area. Blasting music until past midnight. Purposely do not answer their phone so that they avoid being asked to turn it down. Employees being loud and yelling outside after the store is already closed. Edit: Mike hung up on me when I asked them to turn down the music at 12:45 AM after an hou

Bowling was good, animations were fantastic, the guy who gave us our shoes was yapping a bit but whatever. Also they give out free water when you're there, like by the pitcher, very nice.

Solid experience. Came by last week with a bunch of friends. General service throughout the center was slow due to short staffing, which I totally understand given the circumstances. There were 1-2 people working at the desk with what appeared to be one bartender who doubled as a server. Props to them! Food was great, but sadly they were out of the skillet cookies. Lanes did act up once or twice but could be quickly fixed with the reset button.

Way overpriced? Went there on a Sunday night after 6 - which is when most bowling alleys would have their best deals. The ?special? was the only thing offered - which ends up being $31 per person for 3 games. Basically you are paying almost 12 per game for 2 games, 5 for the third, and 2 for shoes. I understand you are in ?Bethesda?, but this isn't much of a ?special? (I guess it would be 120 for a family of 4? and that is before any food or drink). Would bowling 4 games be 60 per person? seems like it?

While Bowlero was a blast last evening, it wasn't due to the customer service or facilities, per say. We had fun because we were with family and friends, but we came up against a lot of rude and lacking customer service, in addition to malfunctioning lanes. We waited 2.5 hours for a lane. That was okay, as we hadn't had a reservation and it was a Saturday. What wasn't okay was how rude the staff was, and how unhelpful they were. From the moment we walked in to put ourselves on the wait list, a young gentl

Dinner with family and daily specials! This could easily be a girls night out to a date night. Drinks are good. Food is good. Every kid?s party we've attended has been absolutely stellar. I love walking in for a random time and seeing it busy. Let's support this walkable neighborhood gem.

nice environment, fun date idea

I just called to ask if i have to make a reservation but the lady that answers the phone was so rude now i dont even feel like going with my kids. So rude

This location is okay. Nobody was at the register to check us in and we waited for 10mins or so. Hubby and I got there about 9 on a Thursday and did the unlimited until close. That was cool. We get to our area and it hadn't been cleaned. My husband moved the trash at our assigned area.

Wonderful experience! Our group had a great time. The staff was great and made us feel like we were VIPs. Our server, Ashley, was fantastic!

They charged me for something I didn't want and I had to pay for it I told them I didn't want the drink and they charged me anyway

Wow! What a great experience. My 5 friends and I came in last night (Sunday) to have a little birthday celebration. The entire staff was very helpful, kind, and quick. I didn't get everyone?s names, but Toccara helped us cash out and she was GREAT! The food, drinks and atmosphere were 10/10. I think we will be making Bowlero a regular spot. Thank you for giving us a great time.

My family loves this location. Every time we visit, the staff are amazing and the atmosphere is always nice. Great date night spot too!

Lively bowling alley. Many of the visitors came in smelling like trees. Herb and bowling are a good combo, I guess?!?

Threw my sisters baby shower here and absolutely loved it. I will say for the price I thought the space we had would be closed in and there would have been more food. We ordered enough for 40 people but it was barely enough for 20. But that didn't even matter to me because the service was Awesome! The manager, Guy, did an awesome job of making sure everything was to our liking and we had everything we needed. The other staff were also very friendly and helpful. Good service is important to me and I would go

Our lane was not keeping score correctly, was clearing pins when it shouldn't be, adding scores when it should and shouldn't be. You are supposed to be able to order drinks at your lane, but because the bar tender was never at the bar he never saw the order coming in. Therefore you have to go find him to place your order. Finally the food we ordered was both burned and late. Never go here!!!

This place is a real disappointment, we went out to have good time, but the lane malfunctioned , the staff was slow to fix the problem. They wasted our time no apology offered, nothing. Also they have a very dark parking lot we had our car damaged by some other guest no surveillance cams !!! Don't go there!!!

Atmosphere was pleasant. The woman at desk the service desk was extremely helpful, informative and understanding. We had an enjoyable time. A little pricey before a certain time on Friday they offer specials on other days. We will return next time in town.

Environment has potential to be a great place for adults but the bartender who served us was terrible. I shouldn't have to continously ask for my change especially when its over $20 of change. Have yet to receive a receipt. Id rather have service from little ratatouille that ran by the lane. Other than those 2 occurrences, everything else was cool.

Was nice to get out and do an activity. The facility did have safety procedures in place for masks and distancing. The wait seemed unnecessarily long as there were available lanes when we checked in, even with allowing only every other lane to be closed off. The food was not very good considering the price. Employees were friendly and did assist well.

Great place to host an event. Manager Blake Scott made sure every aspect of our party was perfect. The fajitas party food set up was amazing. My office team raved over how great the food and service are here. Its more than a bowling alley. It's a fun experience!!!

It's beautiful when you walk in, but the service was terrible. We ordered at food and drinks and everything only the drinks. We finish both of our games and the manager was very nice to care of the bill but then they said they were out of quesadillas at the last minute.

So overall it's a good place to go for something more casual, but if your looking to practice for big leagues it's a bit of a different story. My issues is that if you bowl regularly you will notice that the lanes are about 5 feet shorter(most bowlers are like this) and any oiled at all so I wouldn't recommend using a personal ball unless your prepared to cause lane issues like your ball getting stuck, breaking back panel yo the lane, and even damaging your ball. Aside from that the place is good for a fa

Usually never have an issue here.. And if I do it is resolved quickly. Every bowling alley can have issues with the lanes not working correctly. Tonight however we were served skunk beer in a pitcher, twice. They were nice enough to refund us, hence the 2 stars. But then our lane stopped working and wouldn't reset. We asked for assistance and waited 15 mins without anyone coming. Left. Ruined a friday evening out with friends and we all feel sick from the beer.

God, never had such rude staff. If you see these guys, run.

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s it like visiting an arcade today?

It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.

Is it better to go alone or with friends?

Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.

What should I bring to an arcade?

Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.

What’s the best time to visit an arcade?

Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.

Can I meet new people at arcades?

Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.

Are arcades still just for kids?

Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.

Are there events or tournaments I can join?

Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.

What if I’m not great at arcade games?

No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”

Why are arcade prize games so exciting to play?

Arcade prize games are a thrilling highlight in 2025! Claw machines, skee-ball, and ticket-redemption games like basketball offer a rush of skill and chance, with rewards like plushies, toys, or electronics up for grabs. Modern machines feature vibrant lights, digital scoreboards, and responsive controls, amplifying the fun. The lively arcade atmosphere, with cheering crowds and buzzing energy, makes every win feel epic.
