Amanda and Becky always give stellar customer service!! Never a disappointment each and every time my family and I go in they are taking care of us. The team they have developed is amazing! If you're ever looking for a fun family night hit up Bowlero on Wible, but be sure to ask for Amanda or Becky! Two amazing people! Always make us feel so welcome and taken care of.
The whole household went for an esater evening, we all had a great time and the whole place looks like its well taken care of inside. We will definitely be coming here for another weekend family night again.
Fun place to come and bowl. Summer nice way to get out of the heat and enjoy some fun and food. Drinks are also there if you like that as well.
Best place to bowl , make memories and have a good time .The manager Amanda is 5 star fabulous. She's always working hard with a smile on her face and makes you feel like family. I'll always recommendthis place to everyone!
Brought students here for a reward and it was outstanding! Great employees, organized, clean facility. Kids loved the arcade games, bowling, and snacks. Thanks for a fun field trip!
I just tried to take my grandson to practice at 2:20 pm today. (Closed) People were in the parking lot waiting, I guess, for it to open at 4 pm today. Why open so late? What if people wanted to bowl or practice before going to work. Not possible.
Bowled 2 games here on a Wednesday after league. Love the atmosphere, I would guess it's been remodeled sometime within the last 5ish years. Lanes are decent, we did have to get moved half way through our first game because the lane malfunctioned. Food menu is very limited compared to what I'm use to, drink menu was colorful.
We had a blast, but you need to bring your own drinks & snacks because concession stands are ridiculous,45-to an hour to receive your order...
I rather be stuck in Downtown LA traffic than here? I would rate zero if I could. I am currently sitting inside waiting to be called for our lane, it's been about 2 hours. There are 10 lanes that are not occupied at the moment and no one is being called. I would say it was fine if it was busy but it is not as busy as other times. Now I'm just waiting cause I've waited this long already. I spoke with a lady that looked like a manager or something, I didn't get her name, but when I asked if she can update m
Everyone was so nice. They took care of everything. All we had to do was show up. We had a blast!! Definitely will go there again and again!!??
BIRTHDAY party 4pm to 6pm everything was great, the waitress did an awesome job keeping up with us.
The food was great and the service in the Eatery was amazing.. we got excellent treatment from the staff. My only complaint is they had a lot of issues with the computers controlling the lanes. We have multiple people around us and having issues with the screens and lanes not resetting. The people to our left every time they bowl they'd have to wait a minute until it reset and they were losing most of their time just by waiting. I watch the movie those people away and then have another set of people show up
Fairly big and decent bowling alley with around 30-35 lanes. We went on a weekend and it seemed to us that the $25/person with shoes unlimited package was a best deal compared to 13 per person with shoes for one game. The drinks and food are just average, so try a bit before ordering big. Mind you this is an old bowling alley but aged decently.
This place is a total scam. Their pricing is deceptive and charged much more than shown at the front desk. They charged us 130$ for 2 rounds of bowling, never go here, terrible service and unfriendly staff
Came here to bowl and was told have to use QR code to add a website and website has to download an app and app needs to create an account and account creation needs to enter a credit card, all just to get on waitlist that they said "is about to be full." And place had about 40% lanes occupied, 60% empty. What a garbage place! Wont be back.
Amazing bowling alley great food and good people best social spot and very friendly and helpful employees.
Nice experience. The manager, I believe her name was Barbara was incredibly nice and helpful. Ran the place like it was country club service.
Place is unprofessional called ahead to see if there was a wait list and lady on the phone said there wasn't one and upon getting there they claim that there was a hour and 45 minute wait list. Told them we called ahead and they offered no apology just said well there is one.
The whole building was controlled by a bowling league. I went in to play a game, and while there were lanes open, they didn't offer me anything. They are very short staffed. I sat at the bar, which was empty, and waited over 20 minutes for someone to acknowledge me. The only bartender, who was also the only server, was completely overworked and underpaid. The arcade games cost $4-$6 for EACH GAME. And the expensive prizes are worth about $20 max.
I used to love Southwest Lanes! This was an amazing bowling center, but as of lately, there is so much to be desired. The house, itself, is spacious and tidy enough - with the exception of the outdated and seldomly cleaned restrooms (but who goes to a bowling alley for a restroom). But the prices are astronomical! $4+ per game?! $9+ on Fridays?! I only bowl league, and with these prices, that will continue. Mossman's food isn't too pricey, but don't dare go to the bar for a $7 pint of beer. Other than how e
Nice Place Always Busy
Our annual tournament is held here once again. There have been quite a few improvements. Great place to bring the family.
Very huge facilities, huge parkinglot, pizza it's nice, and they have enough lanes to play
The staff at this place is the best part about it! Bowlero is charging way too much for games and change rates depending on days up to $8 per person per game! Although I visit frequently and fortunate enough to do so this corporate business makes it difficult for families to enjoy! Unfortunately, there is not many options near Bakersfield to bowl.
Had a great time. Clean, the place was spotless. House balls were all in great condition. Lots of video games to be played which I excelled at much better than the bowling.
Advertisements are false! Make sure to read the fine print before deciding to bowl here. Food also takes 45 minutes to 55 minutes to recieve after ordering.
My daughter celebrated her 18th birthday here and everyone had a great time! The pizza was a little generic but that is really the only thing that I wasn't impressed with??
Everyone there made sure that we were taken care of. Great service.
If you aren't in a league don't even bother going. Every single time it's ?full house leagues? never a day in the week can you get a lane
Went for my sons birthday so he can experience a new sport. From the moment we entered the facility we were treated very rudely. Girl at the desk with the long black hair was so disrespectful and her attitude was truly the worse customer service I've ever experienced. We requested a refund after only being there 10 minutes and couldn't stand the way she was treating us and was told there were no refunds. Took our son to another location to enjoy the rest of our day at a more pleasant humble place. I would n
Paid for 1 1/2 game. We ordered food before we even started playing . Checked on food 3 times after 30 mins and kept being told it would be 5 more minutes. Then with 15mins left for our game I went and asked again about the food . They gave a refund right as our food was ?ready? and said we could still have the food for the inconvenience. We went back to playing never received the food then was told they messed up on the order then threw it away and because it was cold .Yes I imagine after 1 hour and 20 min
Don't even bother going,it's a league oriented bowling alley not for the public, went in on a sunday, seems like they always have some sort of league or fundraiser going on,was put on a waiting list for a lane and they had no idea when a lane would be available, they didnt even notify me of a lane being open even after several hours,if your planning on a family fun outing on a weekend, this is not the place,i reccomend going to firehouse or BLVD.Dont go in hungry either, the food menu stinks,i doubt they even h
Great place to hold an event. Last weekend Special Olympics Kern County had a regional bowling competition with over 200 bowlers, coaches and volunteers. Diz kept our lanes in order, staff kept everything running smooth and Mossmans filled everyone's bellies! THANK YOU AMF Southwest Lanes. We will be back!
Place is nice, was here primarily for the car charging. Bowling was not open yet.
First time visit. We had 3 in our party. Walked in, scanned QR code to join waitlist as league was just finishing up. Got our drinks at the bar, ordered my dessert. Let tell you the monster cookie is not a disappointment. Warm, fresh baked chocolate chip cookie topped with some vanilla ice cream, whipped cream, and some chocolate drizzle. It was fantastic and a perfect cookie! Bowling was fun. We had trouble setting up the names on the board and got help at the front desk. Enjoyed ourselves and would return
This place don't have a restaurant in it no more the bowling alley has really gone downhill the lane seemed to break down a lot and they just don't want to spend no money on the bowling alley but I guess it's the only one left in town so people are going to go
Great place to hang out with friends, family & loved ones! Its a big Bowling alley with fun for all ages. They have a bar service & food service as well if I'm not mistaken. The sercive is fast & easy. I like how they set up your name chart & order you'll be taking your turn(makes it easy to play) Recomended to have an awesome time!!!??
Really clean facility, everyone was super nice and food was great. Prices are good and they have a lot of arcade games for the kiddos!
I'd like to thank this business for being so professional. Last night while we were enjoying our night, unfortunately we had a negative encounter with another a gentleman in our area. I immediately brought the situation to the staff and I can't even tell you how prompt they were to get my family comfortable and safe from the man. Great great business.
Great times celebrating my Grandbabies birthdays. The Dunk Tank drink was on point!!! So much fun for all young and old.
The security guard racially profiled me. My white friends went in with no search but when I was entered the security made me lift my shirt, empty my pockets, and searched my backpack. No one else I was with was checked this thoroughly. Other than this horrible experience the bowling alley itself was fine.
As I write this-My family and I are enjoying a bowling party that Amanda and her team Alex and Hamzzah put together literally last second today for my 14 year old Son. We do all our Birthday celebrations here and Amanda has NEVER let us down!! The center is always clean, we maintained and fun! And the pizza today?WOW! And my kids agreed it was better than the ?mouse place? HAHA! On a personal note-Amanda and Alex are the sweetest gals! The run up, greet me, know all our names, ask how is everything and offe
They charged us more money, they say we can play until 11pm and later when leaving they charge us more money.
I really liked the place. Bartender was the coolest and made great drinks. People were friendly and willing to help But a few downsides I was told at the beginning it was 7.50 per game so my family and I was okay with that. We played 2 games my lady and I had 1 drink each. We go to check out and close the tab for our lane they said $158. What in the world price is that to play two games and 2 drinks!? They neglected to tell us it was 7.50 per persons per game so they charged us 6 games which I felt ripped
Great place for family fun!
8 to 11 Sunday and Thursday night $16+ so you gotta bowl 4 to break even but still a good deal with the $10 dollar arcade. I think my shoes were free rental but i was late, so i didn't ask any questions. 1st time for me in 18 years . Good equipment . Cool air . Very important to me is thexair cause i sweat
90 bucks for 3 people to bowl 2 games!
I really enjoy bowling at this location, it's a bit outdated but they're supposed to start updating soon which will be nice. Most of the employees are nice and will help you and the food is delicious.
Went at around 4 pm. Got a great deal for 4 adults and 8 kids. We had a blast. Still got beat by a 5 year old, but we will come again.
Think a Lil too expensive. Too many empty lanes probably for same reason. But good employees. No complaints about them.
Had fun with our kids and grandkids
1 star for being polite? unlimited doesn't start at 8 pm it started at 9:30 they close at 11. i arrived at 7:30 thinking it would start at 8 had to wait 2 hours it would be nice if they would honor the times since we are paying its not free and i had my 5 month baby with 6 kids not a kids place to be with alcohol around plus only one lane for 6 boys so its not really unlimited since they are standing waiting for their turn among 6? not worth being out that late in Bakersfield i even came in person two days
They only oil the lanes there going to use in league so if you want to go bowling you are going to be bowling on lanes with zero oil zero oil the only good thing.i can say is if you are a league bowler you get 2 free games week but it does'nt do you any good when lanes have no oil I was down there today I learned that Blvd oil all there lanes not just what they need for league
I've been to bowlero all across the country. This one was no different. Clean place with great vibes. The lane had a glitch, but they fixed it right away. I enjoyed myself and the atmosphere they created.
Service for great but the overall experience was poor. We had to pause our game 4 times due to various technical issues on our lane (from not being able to start the game due to an issue with the start button, to the gate being frozen, to the pins not being reset after a player, to the system completely rebooting, then the lane freezing and not resetting the pins for the second time). Thankfully, the service from the employees was stellar and ultimately wr were provided the refund we asked for. I would giv
I was on a date with my bf for a reservation and all the employees were so kind and went above and beyond to make my time a much better experience over there. Even one of the employees had their daughter?s birthday over there. When me and my bf were playing pool (billiards), the daughter went over and wanted to play with us. I let her hit a couple of balls till the dad had to come over and get her. She was really a sweetheart. I totally recommend this place CX thanks ??
Went on a Saturday early afternoon not many people very clean many arcade games to choose from friendly staff
Service was so bad, 2 waitresses for the whole place and manger lady was rude when we needed help for lane not working properly. 1 good waitress named Jessica was the only one who seemed to know how to do her job and was nice. And we were in middle of game 15 mins left on time clock and they shut our lane off with no warning. Our orders were taken multiple times and were long in getting to us. Definitely not coming again
This place is amazing! Hit up Daisy at the bar for some fire cocktails and try the pizza!
Not so much on the staff but they could do more to assure guests have a fun time. We went and tried to bowl there tonight but people on the lanes next to us were rude and had no bowling etiquette. I mentioned it to the nice lady working there and she informed me they do have it on the screen. Apparently people do not read it. She didn't charge us, which was nice, however I believe staff can implement rules and improve the place.
Expensive! Clean, nice remodel. Luckily we went on Wednesday and the kids got to enjoy cheap arcade games.
Juanvalenti and Daisy were amazing! I always ask my bartender to surprise me give them a set of liquors I like and free range of what they give me and some act like they just want me me pick something from the menu but not these guys! They kept the drinks coming. It was so much fun trying each and new concoction they would have me try. I got pretty buzz that night ( responsibly buzz of course) and the service was great! Thanks for making my experience fun. Bowling and pool was fun to. Keep Up the good work
It was our first visit since they remodeled and changed the name. It looks a lot nicer inside but way more expensive than before. Not much food choices and the pins stuck three times messed up the scores. There were only two employees working. Front desk lady was helpful and nice tho.
It makes sense as to why they are currently hiring, they need more help, especially during the weekend and a few of the staff gave off the impression that it was such a pain anytime we asked for help during our session. The lanes are worn from the years and kept it decent shape. If you don't know what your looking for you can't tell that they do have minor bumps here and there, or small divets. The food selection makes sense for a bowling alley, nothing a microwave can't take care of. We didn't order anythi
Lanes spit balls out of return on 33 and 34. No etiquette by general KIDS on either side BUT the scoin the middle because ring and at any time the random scoring just write whatever on the scoring and thexstaff doesnt know how to fix the score they just reset our game right in the middle because we paid for unlimited.
Atmosphere great. Place clean. Front desk personnel awesome. Child's birthday party okay...food ordered came late and piecemeal. Had to request forks. Attention to detail lacking from "party host".
I've been bowling here for many years and come down for some good food in a cleaned and maintained establishment. But I'm very disappointed when I walked into my favorite place last week I opened the doors and was hit with a urine odot that made me go inside to see the restrooms not cleaned filthy is more appropriate word. Floors dirty cups plates overflowing with trash soda .I want the person that made it smell good look good and who makes it the number one priority to clean as you go It took awhile fo
I come here all the time. Most of the employees are helpful and polite. The impression is they are not capable of making customers satisfied. From someone in management and a business owner leadership is important in any business. I believe that the Manager of this location is lackluster or not engaged in the wellness of his establishment. I don't know what the corporate policies are but the impression is to make money at all costs and who cares what the customers or employees think. That is what happens wh
Good food-- fun times with friends-- good prices..
Good lanes, good food options between the alley and the Cafe. I obviously need to come more and improve my game
We had a group of ten and the kid working the counter would not give us two lanes even though we all paid in groups of 2 and 3. He said ?management? won't let him because they give the lanes in numerical order. We got put on 17 and 16 behind us stayed empty the entire 3 hours we were there. The group on 18 next to us left and they filled in the next group there. So much for numerical order. None of the ball racks had any balls you just had to get them from other empty lanes. For the price the service sucks.
Seriously need to hire better security at your location. I came in with my purse had a water bottle to take my medicine. She told me I couldn't take it in. I told her that it was for me to take my medicine. Her exact words were, "well I don't know what to tell you". I clearly had my meds in plain sight for her to see. We are regular visitors to your establishment. Employees know our whole group. This incident makes me not want to ever come back.
Service at front desk is 50/50. There was only 1 blonde lady working the bar area with a long line. Unprofessional and unfair to have 1 person doing multiple peoples jobs. Hire more dependable workers. Or get a manager to help where it's needed.
Took my sis here for her bday WOw best fish & chips ever! We loved it, I really recommend everyone to come try it! The staff was awesome, very friendly will definitely go back again??
Good atmosphere, family had a great time. The family was hungry and we were there for a good size group gathering so we ordered some drinks and pizza, the drinks be were good the bartender were very creative as well. We had a great time
The wait staff do a great job being friendly and efficient during busy times. Tuesday night after 8pm get you tacos and drink specials at $2.22. We shared a pepperoni pizza and steak nachos and the nachos were amazing!!! Front desk seemed a bit chaotic and slow, but all in all, we had a good night.
Really spacious & fun! The menu is good as well. Theres a small arcade area for when you're waiting for a lane to open.
The service is definitely not great. The lane kept messing up and we were unable to enjoy the game. Instead of switching us lanes they kept attempting to fix the pins every 10 mins. Only reason they get a 2 stars is because they attempted to fix the issue by giving us a discounted price, after asking for it. This place really needs to update their systems or something or work on their customer service. Because it really could have been a simple fix in my opinion.
Alex is so damn nice you can't believe. She was so patient with me and help me throughout anything cause I am kinda airheaded sometimes. She was great and made me feel happy to come here.
It's in a not so great neighborhood but the lanes are great. The staff was really really helpful which was awesome. I took 6 teens with me and we played three games plus shoes. Came out to $120. It was pretty full when we got there but we still got a lane. They played music but it wasn't overwhelming loud. Overall a really good time. Would have gave it five stars but the food and drinks were really slow getting to you.
It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.
Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.
Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.
Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.
Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.
Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.
Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.
No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
Yes, pool tables in arcades remain a fantastic draw in 2025! Games like 8-ball or 9-ball offer tactile, skill-based fun that blends strategy and precision. Modern tables feature smooth felt, responsive cues, and vibrant designs, enhancing the classic experience. Arcades foster a social vibe with casual matches or competitive tournaments, appealing to all skill levels. Unlike digital games, pool’s physicality—lining up shots, feeling the cue’s weight—keeps it timeless.
