Kids bowl free is great for the summer. I got the family pass so my price isn't too bad once we go more than one time. The place is fairly clean. Our lane kept having technical issues, but they fixed them quickly (even though it looked like there was only two people working). The lady at the desk was very sweet and helpful. Over all we had fun and will definitely be back.

The staff at the fron was awesome cant beat the VIP pizza bowl! Kids had a blast as did we. And a robot! Brought out the food! Pizza was amazing. Will be back!

This establishment has definitely gone downhill over the last few years. The computer scoring system constantly kept giving members of my group spares and strikes that were not actually earned. This made keeping score 100% pointless. Also, the second pizza we ordered took nearly an hour to arrive at our table. The bottom line is to find a better place. Go somewhere else. The economy is tanking, and the last thing any of us should have to do is waste our money on poor service. I mean, come on. This is a bowl

My granddaughter had her twins (age five)birthday party there. We had so much fun. The employees were so polite. The owner or manager mingled through the children and adults. All of the children got to try their hand at bowling, and they all had so much fun. Including myself...thank you

Call before you go! We took my brother bowling on his birthday, Thursday around 5. Before we left I checked the hours and looked at the website. It said they were open until 11. Once we got there we were told they had leagues starting soon so we couldn't bowl at all. Luckily another employee said there was time for us to have a quick game and after a small discussion amongst themselves, they agreed to let us play. Afterwards I checked their website, facebook, google etc and could find nothing indicating

I hate this place...it smells in there and it's very run down like it hasn't been updated in years. Treasure Lanes is better for a great atmosphere.

we had 2 lanes and both malfunctioned and we couldn't bowl for a good 15-20 minutes. i understand one but both ??? also we were supposed to get pizza but the pizza machine is broke or something so we getting wings instead. the lady who i think is manager did a good job communicating, being helpful and accommodating, but how did we even get to this point ? why does nothing work ? mane ts lame

Signed up for kids bowl free promo. Everytime we have shown up no lanes available. I'm not sure why they join the kids bowling program if they are already full of leagues. Waste of fuel driving all the way there to be told no lanes until 930pm. UPDATE!! Tried another time phone number doesn't ring bowling alley direct but they have lane status online. They did a great job keeping lanes cleaned and ready. Like a totally different place in 4 days.

The one employee that we dealt with was very nice. I realize like many other places they are probably short-staffed however there was a lot of food on the floor in our lane area and then everyone was tracking it up on the lanes. Had issues with the ball return several times. Also, it would be nice when you reserve online if you could indicate that you would like a regular lane and not one with all the lights and music.

Overall, I really enjoy going here. I bowl on a league on Friday nights. The staff is very helpful. There are some slow nights with food service, but the good outweighs those times. After bowling there is karaoke, the DJ is great and has whatever you want to sing. Always a good time. Katie is our server when she's working, she is AWESOME! Always there when we need something, had a smile all the time. She's even remembers our names.

All-round the best experience for my family to get together and have friendly competition and strengthening family ties. The staff is truly topnotch. The staff member who helped me put our drink and food orders in, he is the reason I will continue to return....extremely professional, friendly, courteous, and great at his job! He deserves a raise.

Many improvements have taken place here since the recent hurricanes over the last two years however, the pin setters weren't destroyed in the hurricane, which is really too bad given that they consistently need attention when bowling. The new alleys are great, but the pin setters really need to be replaced. It took three hours to bowl three games in our league the other night due to the constant need to have the pins setters reset or repaired.

We participated in the Kids Bowl Free for the summer last year and this year they are helpful. The children really enjoy their time. The lines are clean and work well the music is not too loud, which is great. The atmosphere is wholesome.

Bowling was a little pricy 40 dollars for 2 shoe rentals and 1 hour of bowling, but overall a good experience. The bar had a great price on pitchers for happy hour and a really nice and attentive bartender. I give it 4 out of 5 stars if they charge less for bowling or made the place a little nicer it would get 5 stars.

This place was fantastic! The bowling alley looks like it was completely redone - everything is fresh and new feeling. Plus the staff was AMAZING!

The bowling alley itself is fine. Nemos takes forever but it is usually due to short staff. The food is good so if you order when u get there your food should arrive shortly after you start playing! I prefer these lanes over the other in town! Good deals on foods and drinks and reasonably priced for games and shoes!

The boomer guy at the counter had his butt on his shoulder and the other guy there was only a little more advanced than your average garden squash plant. wouldn't answer questions, and wouldn't talk to anyone. By far the best employee was the bella bot that delivers food. 10/10 would pet bella bot again. I'm giving them a 4 stars just for bella bot. Truly the employee of the month.

They're wonderful people the work at the bowling alley they all helped me to become a better bowler little advice here and there Nick at the pro shop he really really help me a lot I consider him a really good friend all of them at the bowling alley that work there because they're really good people people that you would love to meet.

It was just ok. I think they're pricey considering how poorly maintained the balls and shoes are. Too many balls had chips (big and small), shoes didn't slide (had to change out twice). Otherwise it was a fun time making memories.

Went to Bowland for .99 wings. They were amazing. The wings were huge. Bartender was friendly. Great experience. Besides Thursday's are football night.

Amazing Atmosphere of bowling and open bowling is fun too. This place is all about having fun. I moved to this bowling alley a couple months ago since I moved and It's so cool. I bowl league and everyone here I see when I go in the building you feel happy If you want to bowl in the summer you should bowl here because it's all about fun.

Attended a few children?s birthday parties at Bowland. Kids always have a blast, music is great and not obnoxiously loud, environment is always fun! Donna at front desk rude and disrespectful, came in with 2 hours in pass from when our vip lane broke on January 10th, she had one lane open and 2 that needed to be cleaned. Refused to let us play on the vip side with 3 lanes open and her co worker even said yes we do have 2 other lanes just need to make sure they clean. Donna said you can take lane 24 or she pointed to the door and said I can get out. Mean while this all happened with a family at the counter in front of us who she was giving lane 5 too. S

By far the best experience we've had with our kids bowling. The staff tonight went above and beyond. They made sure my kids had the best possible experience and I am so grateful!

Bad experience. Everything was good for the first 30 minutes and after about 30 minutes of playing we ran into problems. The lane wasn't working. Every 5-10 minutes it would stop working for about 5 minutes and start working again. We told the workers and they kept telling us to wait that they were fixing it and It continued to happen. Eventually I asked for then to move us to another lane and they did. But on this lane we had the same problems. After a hour going back and forth we had about 33 minutes left

They saved the day for my great grandsons birthday! We were scheduled at another bowling establishment but power went out, that is when Bowland in Port Charlotte pulled it off They went over and above! They were very great with getting all kids on 2 lanes, very efficient in getting shoes for them! They helped get pizza and food out for they party! They were helpful, and went over and above to help provide a great memory for us all! Hats off to Bowland and would recommend them to anyone in the future!

Even putting aside the few ramps and ibaccessible entrances, I have found this bowling alley unpleasant and the staff discriminatory. We bring a group of adults with intellectual disabilities to bowl each week and the staff makes us feel unwelcome in the way they speak to us. They have forbade our participants from paying individually because they go "too slow," and today they began rushing us the second we walked through the door, telling us we were late even though we were early. Had an absolute blast here today on a field trip with the ESE students from DeSoto County High School! The food was great and the atmosphere was welcoming! Went in Sunday night, Amber was our bartender and the lack of customer service was astounding. I've been several times and the bartenders have always been friendly, but the friendly ones don't seem to be there anymore..? Bad experience! Manager apparently has a ?deal? with a group of elders to have every single screen on their half of room turned off so they don't get ?distracted? while they bowl a pathetic game. Pricing is ridiculous. I paid almost $60 for two shoe rentals and an hour and a half of playtime. The pins were not dropping consistently (Some pins were missing) and the computers to track score did not work (I hit 6 pins it showed I hit 9). Food was very overpriced as well and not good. $20 for nachos and a drink.

Bowland ROCKS!!! My family has been coming here for years---bday parties, family hangouts, date nights, church events. I'm a teacher and today we brought 3 classes on a field trip here. CALL AHEAD: We tried this place with the kids on a Monday afternoon at 4:15p. They had a dozen lanes open but refused us because their leagues started at 6p. We even tried offering to pay/limit our time to one hour to ensure our departure prior to the reservations. They said no. I'm a bit disappointed at this years days and times of the Kids Bowl Free. It can't be used on weekends, and most weekdays it stops before parents are even done working! We used it quite a bit last year, but haven't been able to yet this season! All in all, we like the place, but this perk is hard to take advantage of with the hours it's available.

I'm very disappointed with the choices of the owner or manager of this establishment tonight. My husband and son go to both bowling alleys in Port Charlotte very often. It's their thing every Wednesday evening. There is a game where you move a claw in which to try to pick up an a cardboard band that has an amount of tickets numbered on it. My husband won one for our son that numbered 100 tickets. When they went to exchange it for a prize, the owner or manager claimed the machine that they needed to scan it

Fun. $30 an hour, I guess that's ok? Haven't bowled in a long time. Music videos playing in background, was pretty cool. Food was not bad. Not great, but not bad. The staff was very rude! Since Ian closed treasure lanes they were the only bowling place opened. Wait until treasure lanes opens. No wonder why bowland was always dead. We have been playing in a pool league here for a couple of years and Misty is the best. She's always accommodating and makes it fun to be there. Food has been improving. Thanks Misty!! Not impressed with the new owners yet, I signed up for the kids bowl free and than purchased an extra program so the entire family could bowl all summer for one price. In July they put out flyers saying they were changing the times the kids bowl free customers could bowl, much less availability. Pretty nice location and is usually less busy than treasure lanes. The pizza is okay, and the lanes could really really use with an updating or at least proper fixes. The last time we played we had to restart our lane multiple times because pins would be missing from the reset it did after a roll. At one point it completely stopped working because a pin got stuck and just kept spinning. No hostess on floor to help navigate electronic game board and not great help all the way around. No signs visible for restrooms. No real way of knowing what food was available or where to get it. Second time here within 3 weeks. Staff was rude both times, was told over the phone that they were super busy and had only a couple open lanes. Went here anyway and there is one small family of 6 and that was it. Proceed to say we want to bowl, we were told no, they close at 9pm. We didn't care about paying for only 45 minutes, we're advised that we should not bowl anyway. Time to do a staff clean out would be my suggestion.
