Bowl-O-Rama Family Fun Center

Great place to bowl! I have fun memories bowling here when I was a kid and it is super cool to make the same type of fun memories with my own kids. The place has kept its nostalgia but has been kept well. It is easily one of the best family friendly spots on the Seacoast.

We took our 3 older teenagers here with us and had an absolute blast. It was a bit of a wait to get a lane, about an hour and a half, but the arcade and air hockey kept us entertained. Our lane attendant/ bar tender was amazing. She was very busy as expected, but so friendly and funny. We had a great night.

Good variety of menu choices, reasonable prices, the service was excellent and the atmosphere was great. Of course you have an amazing staff. Highly recommend to everyone! :) ? Brought my nieces here for the first time and had a great time! Staff was extremely helpful and friendly, if our lane had a problem someone was there before we even had a chance to ask for help. Same goes for the arcade area, staff immediately asked as we walked out if everything worked okay. My nieces were excited about how reasonable the prizes were from tickets at the arcade, although they left with a bunch of candy my brother probably wasn't happy about for their ride home ?? Will be back!

We had our son?s 5th birthday party on a busy Saturday in the winter and it was perfection! The staff is kind and helpful. The system they have down for making the party run seamlessly makes it an easy day on parents! I highly recommend having a kids or even adult party here! Today we went candlepin bowling at Bowl-O-Rama Family Fun Center, something I haven't done in over 50 years. We had a great time at a really fun place. The staff was super friendly, the building was very clean, and a great time was had by all. Family friendly with lots of children with plenty of fun, food and games to play. Can't wait to go back again!

Bowl-O-Rama hosts Cosmic Bowling every Friday night. My husband and I may add this to one of our favorite activities. For $17 per person, you receive unlimited games. The staff is friendly and the building is clean. The interactive lanes are a lot of fun and feature funny videos on the screen. In addition to this, the lanes have comfy seats and a table for snacks. Speaking of snacks, the food, and drinks at Shenanigan's are affordable and of good quality. The margarita flight was fruity and cost only $13.

Owner not interested in attempting to accommodate my son due to his disability. He cannot wear bowling shoes for multiple reasons. I have never had an issue at any other bowling alley. They always allow my son to bowl in his own shoes since he just walks up to bowl and uses the ramp. Maybe I'm in the wrong here, I don't know, but I won't be back.

Came to this bowling alley to spend an hour of bowling with my family and ended up leaving feeling very down and disappointed. My dad booked a reservation for a lane but didn't see that they only have same day reservations, so when we showed up they said that we couldn't do the reservation that day. My dad asked if they could just cancel our reservation and just do a lane today (which they had many open lanes) but they said they wouldn't do any refunds and wouldn't just let us bowl. I've been coming for decades and this is the best it has looked, and, it looks great! Candlepin only. Bowling lanes are fully automated and keep accurate track of score and speed of pitches. I'm not into arcade games but the arcade area looks good. Biggest improvement, the bathrooms! Really clean and a foot ?? attachment to the door so you don't have to grab the door handle when exiting! Why is the pizza so good?! Went there mid day on a Saturday for some candlepin and lunch. The staff was super friendly. The bowling was fun. The kids loved the rootbeer seeved in pitchers. But the real reason for this review: The food is waayyyy better than you'd expect for a bowling spot. Like, seriously.

Bowl o rama is a family staple of ours. My son likes to get a snack and play in the arcade, very reasonable prices for a good amount of time playing games. The staff are always extremely friendly and the food is always great. We have had birthday parties here in the past and do the free bowling in the summer, I highly recommend bowl o rama!!

My son loved the arcade, especially the flight simulator game! He would have stayed all day if we let him, and thankfully, pricing at this arcade is reasonable when compared to others. The bathrooms were pleasantly very clean! We'll have to go back to explore more (bowling, food).

While killing time before a wedding in Portsmouth we decided to go bowling. We were surprised to find out this was a candlepin bowling center. It was my first time playing and I loved it, even though it is a lot harder than traditional bowling. The staff was very friendly, too. If we didn't live in Colorado we would be back all the time! We were so happy to stumble upon this uniquely New England game on our visit!

Had an absolute blast here on Saturday. I had never been there before. Was a great way to spend a rainy day with the kiddos. The food was delicious as well. Only reason I did not give 5 stars is that it is a bit pricey. Other than that, great place for the family.

WALKING in to only be greeted with attitude as well anger by the customer service attended- bowling a side. I was just checking in to see the prices for a friend.. I went over to the bar and spoke with the bartender (daughter of the owner) as well the mother owner and explained my situation, she says he's always grumpy. No apology .. So uncool. Another discriminatory establishment.. THERE WAS NO MISUNDERSTANDING. AND YES HE WAS OUT OF LINE AND DISRESPECTFUL. SO U CAN COVER HIS BEHAVIOR BUT THE REALIT

We brought our son (5 years) here for a birthday party. It was a great experience, all the staff was amazing, friendly, and made my son feel special on his day. We had our daughter?s 12th birthday celebration at Bowl-O-Rama. It was an excellent experience! The customer service is top notch, the set up was completed before we arrived, and it was very stress free for us, the parents. We made 1-2 phone calls and showed up with a cake. It was easy to add items on and questions were answered with a smile. The price is right when you have a large group. Thank you for an incredible experience!

This is a really nice bowling alley but do not buy any of their packages. I bought the New Year?s one that included bowling for 2 hours and food. We had to move the date because of a family Covid outbreak but the manager assured me he would honor the package as long as we used the code. Used it last night and desk would only honor the bowling part. No food was covered. This was really disappointing and surprising.

I have been going there since I was a kid... My Wife is in a Bowling League there, I go every few weeks or so to enjoy watching her and others and, to treat her to dinner there. My company recently had a corporate party here and I couldn't be happier! They had our pizza, salad bar, and fountain drinks ready when we got there and the bar was a hit with our employees! A special thank you to Jenny who was amazing throughout our event! She was always checking in with everyone, bringing out food, serving our drinks, and checking in with me on any additional charges. I absolutely love Bowl-O-Rama and their staff, I've had my daughters birthday party with them for over 3-4 years. (minus the time of covid restrictions) they have the best and most reasonably priced party options within a 30+ mile radius. One of the best things is they do all the setup of tables tablecloths plates etc on top of all the cleanup all you do is bring the cake/cupcakes or get one of theirs. Visiting here from Virginia. Came here to grab a quick drink. The initial interaction with the bartender was so pleasant that we decided to stick around. Lots of fun for all. Even though there were a few birthday parties and other people there, it didn't seem too crowded. The only problem was that there was a group of 5 people standing in front of the entrance. It made it difficult for other folks to enter and leave. There was plenty of room for that group to stand around and talk away from the entrance. People can be selfish nowadays. Be sure to make reservations. Can't wait to go bowling again.

Excellent place to visit. Came on a Wednesday and they were not expecting such a big crowd and did everything they could to accommodate us. The owner came over personally to apologize. A bit expensive in my opinion, but we had a ton of fun on a hot summer day. Nice and cool. Very clean and the gentleman at the bar/food counter, who was also the chef, couldn't be nicer and more helpful. The food was pretty good too. They have a nice little arcade area as well. I think we will go again, but maybe if we have a coupon. The man at the shoe rental/prize counter (who may be the owner or manager) was very kind to my children and also patient. Went last night. The atmosphere was good and the people where nice, but ... The floor was sticky, really, really sticky. It got all over our bowling shoes (some rented some brought), I'm not sure my mom's will ever come back from that. The sticky had been tracked out into the lanes making bowling very difficult. Better cleaning practices are drastically needed.

My friends and I decided to go for a fun bowling night and I ended up being the worst experience. I understand staffing is causing many issues with the service but waiting 30 minutes to get a beer is ridiculous we couldn't finish one of our games just because we waited so long to get a beer. Bowling was fine. The food was terrible. Cold and took a long time. There were only 5 people in the entire area. Unfortunately the people that worked there didn't even apologize for the terrible service. We use to go every Friday night. It was a weekly adventure. The last time my family went we ordered food and one hour later they said the kitchen was closed. They could have said it was closing before taking our order. Now we have to find another Friday night theme.

Kids bowl free a good day filler!

A few weeks ago my nephews and I had the best time! While we waited for our lane, we hung out in the arcade. My nephew was thrilled to hear his name announced and got some fun prizes. Highly highly recommend for a rainy day activity and some good fun!

This place was so much fun for a great price! My husband and I went in around 8 on a Tuesday and they were doing quarter games so, we only ended up paying $2 plus shoe rental. Be aware this isn't regular bowling. The balls are small. The snacks are also amazing! I will definitely visit again!

Today I had the Worst customer service from an older woman named Lisa working at the desk. My son was cashing in his tickets and deciding what prize he wants when she tells him to ?hurry up, I have a party to set up for?. While he's trying to subtract in his head she snaps and says ?I don't care if you go over, just hurry and pick out something?. I have been to Bowl-O-Rama many of times both alone and with my family. It has always been a lovely establishment. Since the ownership I've seen so many WONDERFUL changes and additions. Glad they upgraded! New shoes, new scoring stations and soon to have better food / drink options for those that enjoy family bowling. Prices aren't too bad, but lack military discounts. They do have senior discounts though for folks to enjoy some entertainment and exercise. We'll be back when we visit again some day.

Very impressed with this bowling center. The place looks amazing and is very clean and welcoming. Mike and Sean made us out of towners feel welcome and were happy to answer our questions. This place was OK. No-slip on the lanes hurt my knee but, still had fun with my kids. The waitress would rather fold pizza boxes than serve me but, I knew where the bar was. Even with powder, I still couldn't slid right. I have bowled here for many years. The improvements made over the past few years under new ownership have breathed life into an old house. They've done a fantastic job with the lanes, restaurant, and atmosphere. Go here to support local business, and support a resurgence in candlepin bowling on the seacoast (or, just to have a good burger too).

A great ownership and wonderful employees always make for a fun experience. Bowl-O-Rama is a super local establishment. Our family goes there often. Very disappointed with my visit today. It's a total rip off for what they offer. Who the hell even cares about the new automatic scoring?! I'd rather pay a reasonable price and write out my damn scores with a pencil and paper! $6.50 for shoe rentals and $30 for a hour! They don't even offer per game rates like every other place I've been to. My client with disabilities enjoys bowling very much and this location is the closest to where they live. With their disabilities it takes them awhile to finish a game
