Boomers Vista I was impressed ?? Used to give 90's chucky cheese feels... now I would say it is elevated for sure!! Johnny Rockets ?? Arcade Upstairs Tons of games inside for virtual tokens loaded to your card; all to spend at the prize booth... Prizes were less than spectacular but the kids were so excited. The card process was a little less than straight forward so room for improvement there. Mini golf is a staple, go karts staple, bumper boats not so much but huge hit with everyone else. Laser ta
Place seemed super dead on a weekday evening; I had never been before and I went in the entrance on the left, which was confusing because apparently that's not the main entrance. Also there's a bunch of signs outside saying you need to pay for parking? That was a huge turn off as a first time visitor who only wanted to check out the arcade. I want to go back but the pay for parking was very poor taste. This place needs more business, not a reason to pass it up.
We really enjoyed the visit at boomers.. definitely love that there was a Johnnyrockets.. fun times great prices....going back for the mini golf... The staff was very nice...very clean There were some arcades down. But overall had we great time!!
Boomers Vista was so much fun!!!! From laser tag to softball/baseball batting, mini golf, race cars, water boat squirters, and the arcade. There were and are so many fun things to do. The arcade games are on both the first and second floors. Everything was well put together, spaced out and most importantly clean. The icing on the whole trip was Johnny Rockets. The gentleman working the front register (he wore a black shirt) deserves a raise. His customer service was top tier and appreciated. There was plent
We had a fantastic time at Boomers Vista with our kids and family! The variety of activities, including go-kart racing, mini golf, batting cages, bumper boats, and laser tag, made our day memorable. My kids enjoyed the laser tag and bumper boats many times. Highly recommend for a fun family day out!
Family fun for Everyone! 2 = Mini Golf course, Super clean and maintained ??? Gocarts are slow line movers still fun once driving ?? Batting Cages good deal Staff is friendly and Helpful ??Buy tickets online, Save some ?? The carpet inside definitely needs to be cleaned. Still a great place to take the family ??
Great family experience. Lots of fun. Very clean and well maintained.
The property has been maintained well for its age however the lack of staff and parental supervision needs attention. On several occasions 5-6 small children between the ages of 3-6 we're running through the mini golf course picking up other players golf balls, standing unaware on the green and putting themselves in danger of fly balls. Not a single parent or staff member seemed to care or notice. Better precautions to keep small children supervised and safe are much needed or bare minimum have the staff en
We took our entire 5th grade class here for a day of fun (108 students)! This place is incredible. Booking the event was so easy - they were flexible and accommodating for our needs. Boomers is very clean, friendly, safe, and well run. The staff was so patient and kind with our kids. Our students said this was the best day of their life! I would absolutely recommend this place for a day of fun! It has something for everyone!
Had the Granddaughters for annual summertime retreat to O.SIDE. Had to find something to entertain them. Perfect spot. Had so much fun. Place was well kept. They offered all the rides even tho it was slow, the kids working weren't on their phones and disengaged. They were working. Listen..put put golf, water boats, go carts, batting cages, carnival rides and a Johnny Rockets with a video arcade.. How could you go wrong! And it could have if it wasn't well managed enough. Enjoyed it. Appreciated it.
Really friendly staff! We got here too early, but they let us in and started us on miniature golf. Great fun for all our kids (7-16 years). We did laser tag, mini golf, bumper boats and the go karts multiple times during our 4-hour stay. Buying tickets online saves you money, and their Black Friday deals are the best value for your money.
Purchased. Day tickets online. Went. During the week so not a lot of people. We didn't. Have to wait for rides and the staff was great.
It was a blast. We went on the go karts, mini golf, laser tag, and the water boats. We also ate some great food at Johnny Rockets. The go karts were very fun. Some are faster than others, so make sure you scout which one to get before you race! Mini golf was great. They have two different ones. We went on the pirate course; all 18 holes were fun and challenging. The laser tag was 5 min of exhilaration. Running around shooting everyone. We went in there with 6 people total, 3v3, and everyone had fun.
We have lived in the area for a good while now & have yet been to this boomers. I lived in San Diego where I went to the one in clairemont & it was so fun! I'm bummed they closed it down & the one in El Cajon too!! But this one is so fun for the family! The attractions & the arcade was great & well worth the money which wasn't even expensive at all!! The Johnny Rockets inside was soo good!! Definitely will return!! Let's keep it open pleaseee!!
The kids loved the bumper boats, helicopter and teacup ride. Mini golf was a great family outing. They have 36 holes of championship golf...... I mean putting! The kids need to be like 5' tall for the go carts, which seems ridiculous to me. The arcade was expensive but pretty awesome. We only saw one game that was OOO. We'll be back!
It was really fun, we got to do everything we wanted, even going on some of the rides twice. There were no lines to wait in, & staff was very friendly & chill. I got our tickets in advance, but it really isn't necessary! Our 1st time there, & honestly a 10/10 experience!
We got the two hour pass and we got to do pretty much everything once. The staff are accommodating and nice. The place is kept clean. The mini golf was a little backed up, but it was fun
Celebrated my son?s 10th birthday here for a fun visit. We didn't rent a party space since it was just three of us but we had a great time playing mini golf and laser tag and arcade games for several hours. It's definitely worth buying the pass that's good for a few hours.
I took my six year old to Boomers for the first time and he absolutely loved it. Lazer Tag, bumper boats, grand prix, mini golf and video games. You can get an attractions pass for one fee, different time limits. Very reasonable. Capable, efficient and friendly young staff were very welcoming. We went early on a Sunday and had the place to ourselves. When we left it was crowded. Conveniently located, plenty of parking. Can't wait to go back!!
A cat followed us while we mini golfed. 10/10.
Such a good time here. Clean environment, Accommodating and friendly staff, overall great experience. Special shout out to David who went above and beyond for us. We will have to for sure visit again, because of him. You da man David!!!! :)
Decided to take my daughter today and I purchased the unlimited deal online. Since she's not tall enough to drive on her own for the go karts, I decided to wait to buy one for her, because I wanted to see if there was a different option available. They were super helpful when I arrived, asking if they had any other options available. I was happy they did! So I bought her the passenger day pass and we were on our way to the go karts. They only had one of the double cars available today, which was kind of a b
Fun place. Our kids love the arcade. Price keeps going up but that's the trend everywhere
Something seems off, this place was definitely a Bullwinkle's Fun Center from 1992, you need to enter through the arcade.
Very fun place for all ages, but you have to be taller than 40 inches to be a passenger on rides like the Go Karts and Bumper Boats. There is tons of parking in the parking lot but wow it gets crowded inside on the weekends and especially after the sun goes down. No one wears masks inside (as of 9-24-22) including staff. Be careful to watch your kids and have extra parents present at birthday parties here just because there are so many people around and kids can disappear quickly. There is an elevator insid
We had tons of fun! Park was laid out well, the staff was polite and friendly and the pizza wasn't bad either! Definitely a fun place to take the family or grandchildren.
This was such a fun place for family fun or a date. They had a variety of arcade games and outdoor fun that the experience practically flew by. They had go-karts, putt-putt, and other stuff. ?? There's also a Johnny Rockets inside the location if you're hungry. Kudos for having stocked hand sanitizer dispensers.
I haven't been here in a while, and I won't be coming back. You already have to spend money when you come here, so why make you pay for parking? It's ridiculous! The games are extremely overpriced, and quite frankly not that entertaining. The food is overpriced too. Take your business elsewhere, this place ain't worth it.
My siblings and I, all in our 20s, recently visited this location primarily for the mini golf experience. It was our second time here, as we truly appreciate the captivating scenery, creative displays, and the overall variety and quality of the holes. Despite the need for a few hole revamps, we still find the mini golf course enjoyable and worth the approximately 50-minute commute (especially since the Boomers location in San Diego has permanently closed). One of the main reasons we choose this location ov
Great fun ..with family .. Workers are fabulous..always willing to help at any time.. The go cart employees are great can't say enough...ready to go again...
Spring break fun! We played mini golf, rode on a few rides, played games & ate at Johnny Rocket's Restaurant there on the property. Fun had by all & the food was really good!
One of the last (maybe THE last) Boomers locations in San Diego County! We had a blast time with my 5 year old nephew! No lines for the kiddie rides even on a pretty busy day. You can get 2 kiddie rides (they only have helicopters and tea cups) for $12.99. That is the price for most things: mini golf, go carts, bumper boats, laser tag (in an inflatable arena) and batting cages. There are probably other deals too, check out the website. They also have a nice sized arcade and 2 different 18 hole mini golf cou
Went to the cages and maybe had 1 strike thrown. I gave away my other two tokens as it made no sense to go back in for those pitches. Also, no cash transaction. Had to purchase a card to buy tOken.
When the Boomers in El Cajon and Clairmont closed my kiddos were beyond ?? sad. This past December when searching for something other than another bounce place for them to go, I was delighted to see there was still a Boomers left in SD county. Although it's a drive to get there, hearing my kiddos scream with excitement when they saw there was still one open as we passed it and then even more happiness on their face to learn we were going there was the BEST!!!! Note: for those with little ones, this one does
Great fun the kids loved it . Please have a better/ more regular clean up in your rest rooms .. it seems no clean up occurred over 2 hours despite notifying staff !
We had the best MOTHER'S DAY here, the first one I've had like this since 2019!!!! Thank you to my husband, Barry Thurber! When left on our own without negative, jealous sabotaging, drama seekers, we flourish and role model at our highest potential and always have fun with our kids, "MAKING NEW MEMORIES, EVERY MONTH OF THE YEAR "TOGETHER"!!!!! CRYING AND LAUGHING at the ridiculous beliefs of that agency in El Cajon that thrives on attempts to destroy good families and the future of good people! Here's to yo
Great family fun! Spent a few hours here on a Saturday night. No wait. Very clean! Super helpful staff.
Most wonderful and amazing experience. The courtesy and kindness shown by David was absolutely incredible. Making sure our experience was incredible. Thank you for being awesome David.
Awesome place! You can easily spend the whole day here with family. Kids and teens love it?there's something for everyone. Highly recommend for a fun day out!
Honestly, extremely disappointed. We came here once before and that time it was OK, not too crowded and enjoyed it. The food was terrible, but the kids had fun. Came back a second time not even two weeks after the first time and they are denying my daughter to be able to ride the go karts. The first time we came, the exact same people at the go karts let her on, this time they told her no. The height things throughout the place are at different heights. She hit a different height on all three that we went u
Stopped by here after my mom and sister met my bestie and I in Anaheim for a fun weekend at Disney California Adventure and I was surprised to see it quite empty, but it was a weekday and trust me I wasn't complaining. My sis is special needs, but I heard she loved go carts, so it was an extra surprise as we headed back home to San Diego. And I am telling you I have been on go cart tracks since the 80s, and we couldn't keep up with that girl. It was clean, too bad food wasn't really being served but the sta
I got the package deal to enjoy the outdoor activities and upstairs arcades. It had an old school feel with both the games and furnishings. The bumper cars were really fun. It was slow on a Tuesday with minimal lines but its a great place to go for fun with friends, a date or a family group or just on your own.
We took the kids here for go karts and nini golf. This is a great place to spend time with the family during the day. They also have arcade games, bumper boats, batting cages, laser tag and a picnic area.
Out kiddo had fun. Obviously, lots of teens work there, so some care more about their jobs than others. Good place to go
They no longer accept cash for rides. You have to go inside to a non-boomers machine to get a cash card and then wait in line, Again. No warning , no nothing .This violates privacy, (based on the email request I received for this review), forces a less secure payment method than cash, and I will no longer be a customer.
Fun place, grandsons (5 n 11) enjoyed min Golf n Go Carts most, but 5 yr old liked the helicopter ride most.
Prices varied from website over charged!! Only by 8 dollars but not the point. You need shoes or trainers (sneakers as you guys call them) for some of the attractions just for those who have not visited as I did not see this upon website prior to visit. 1 of prepaid card machines was down. They do not see cash as king here at this facility. However Wait times are not bad at all. Redeeming points in the shop member of staff walked off during transaction whitch i thought was a bit rude other member of sta
They give you a limited amount of time in the park as opposed to charging a certain amount of time per attraction. So you end up waiting 1-1.5 hours of your 2 hour ticket in lines. Any games you'd actually want to play have issues either with buttons not working or taking credits and not starting the game. All in all would not go. Super waste of time and money, go to Dave and Busters.
Update: You now have to pay $5 for parking. ?? Definitely for the pre/early teen crowd. Mini-golf, a go-kart track, some kind of water ride, a batting cage and a 2 story building. The first floor of the building has a Johnny Rockets and has a place where kids can play and win tickets for prizes , and has a laser tag arena. Second floor is video arcade games. Games were fairly dated. I spent money on games that weren't calibrated or had sensors that weren't working. Mini golf area is very dirty.
OPENS AT 10 AM. On a beautiful Saturday morning I drove up to Boomers and arrived at 8 am, however googles hours were incorrect. There was only one other family waiting, but the employees were nice enough to open up about 5 minutes early. The entrance is a 2 story arcade (bathrooms upstairs). Very short walk through the arcade brings you to the outdoors of Boomers. There is NO FEE TO ENTER, but rides and arcade games cost money. Ride passes can be bought for unlimited acces (with exception of batting cages)
$6.50 to park!!!!! Just to go in and spend incredible $?s. Ridiculous! Facilities are nice, staff is cheerful and friendly and helpful.
Fun place with hourly cost for the whole park. Go-karting, bumper boats and putt-putt. Kids had a blast!
Many things, some can be improved upon. The Go Karts are too slow, you'd go faster on a skateboard. They can't help that due to safety. Things they can fix start inside the arcade upstairs. Tekken 5 machine has a bad player 2 joystick. There are a few racing games that the player 2 is simply out of service, fair enough though. I am going to gripe about the DDR machine though. Been getting into it a lot lately, and I realized something after playing today. THEY ARE MISSING HALF THE SONGS!!! This DDR Extreme
Great time for my son?s 8th birthday! The place was clean, all of the staff were super friendly!!! The batting cages and race cars are our favorite!
We had our sons B-Day here. Purchased the Champ Pass which provides unlimited access to all outside activities except the batting cage. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The food was decent, the Arcade was great with a good variety of games. The go karts were a riot, they have 6 cars total on the course the day I went four for single riders and two for dual riders, the course was short but it was full of great turns. The bumper boats were a lot of fun as well. Overall highly recommend for
If you have nothing else better to do on Sundays after 4pm it's only $15. Unfortunately, there is not much to do and the little that they do have isn't very interesting. The go-kart track is 2 small loops. There are two mechanical rides in the kiddie area. An aquatic bumper cars and a golf course. Oh, and a tent that serves as a laser tag course.
Fun spot for kids and kids at heart. There are 2 challenging mini golf courses that are in good shape with consistent greens.
Hands down the most disappointing park I've ever been to. Go karts don't work well. I understand they have to go slow and that's fine but my cart literally wouldn't move over 5 mph. Tried the laser tag and my vest and gun were broken. So I left the tent to get a new one and was told they were all broken. So I waited outside alone while my family played. Tenants couldn't care less. We waited in line thinking there was a game being played and it turned out the tenant was just on break and had no one watching?
Great place to take the kiddos. A lot of things to do there. We stayed in the arcade area, which was fun. Two story just with arcades. Outside there were bumper cars that spray water, a bathing cage and more to do. Overall, experience was fun.
Awesome ?? great place clean friendly staff and best part not that expensive refillable sodas !!
The kids had a great time, they played on everything non-stop for the whole day. And the food deals were great for feeding multiple kids.
Great time if you have a plan, be patient, cash/debit/credit, IF you're visiting for 1st time, know this, card purchase only for arcade, wrist band must be purchased to enter race carts, golf, water boats..
There's no way to call them beforehand as that phone number doesn't work, the food tasted terrible and none of the employees knew about the limited deal at Johnny Rockets. The manager just lies and is very rude.
This place was awesome. All of the staff were very polite and had a very speedy service. The food there was amazing and my kids loved it there!
One of the last places in San Diego county to play mini golf. Well-maintained, two 18-hole courses; plus bumper boats, go karts, Lazer tag, kiddie Rides, and inside arcade for entertainment. Also features a Johnny Rockets inside for food!
Always an amazing time, I've been coming here ever since I was a kid. 10 out of 10 would recommend, especially for party's.
Went here today with my husband and brother. We played several of the arcade games and really enjoyed. There are all of the classic offerings you'd expect like Dance, Dance Revolution, Area 51, Mortal etc and many others plus of course the outdoor offerings like go carts, mini golf, and such which we didn't even get to. And they have a little restaurant too. I recommend it.
Had a great time at Boomers. We went on a weekday evening to beat the crowds. Tons of fun on the Go Karts and in the arcade. Good food at Johnny Rockets diner style restaurant inside too.
Not to great. Everything was to much money and some things didn't work we got no refund. The staff was nice tho :)
We had fun! Good for almost all ages...
Stopped by Boomers with the kids for a game of Mini Golf and it was great fun! The staff where all super nice and exciting to be opened up. We will definitely be back for more adventures!
I went there and the food was amazing the go karts were super fun amazing place to go with my family
Very fun place with our grandchildren so many things to do.
Kind of pricey, and the lines can be long for some things (go karts, bumper boats). But the area is clean and the staff if friendly.
The kids had a blast (especially with go-kart) without having to wait in lines!
We had a great time! My husband and I took our 8 and 11 year olds. We played mini golf, rode the bumper boats and the go carts. Decent prices. Would definitely return if we were in the area.
Very fun with friends and family. I would recommend it
Me and my son (8 yo) went here. We breezed thru mini golf and were able to run a whole other course. Always a fun place. Beware of the video games with the kids but as long as you keep it fun and are engaged with your kid(s) you should be fine having some good old fashioned FUN.
We've gone three times. It's the biggest arcade I can enjoy with my kids that I know of within 50 miles (or more). Of course, mini-golf, go-karts, and other attractions are a blast too. The staff are helpful. I like the cost of our visits, reasonably priced.
Had a great time as a Family with our kids ages 24 to 6 years of age. The food was good with sizeable portions at a fair price but most importantly it tasted good and the oil did not taste burnt. That's why I was surprised when we got home and 3 of us felt sick to our stomach, don't know what to make of it but we look forward to going back soon though.
Very fun, good price, great for the family.
Makes me realize I don't want to have kids lol they are exhausting, luckily my nephews were tired out by this place, the wrist bands for unlimited karts, boats, Lazer tag, golf plate well worth it, foods good, plenty of seats although I did go on a Tuesday lol
The place is great, but we bought 4 hour tickets, but they gave us 2 hour tickets and conveniently don't offer receipts
Pulled into parking lot with the whole family and now they are charging for parking. Pulled right out and went to Dave and busters.
Very fun miniature golf course. So much more to do there. Go carts. Batting cages. Laser tag, and tons of video games
Visited on 6/2. 5/5 for mini golf, everything else isn't worth the price. The food is terrible, the soft pretzel was the same that you can buy in the frozen section at the grocery store. We waited 3 hours for someone to come out and run the rides, they never did. We saw people go in and ask and they still didn't send anyone out for them. Our bracelets included the rides so that sucked that our money went to waste because the employees weren't running the rides!! Overall very overpriced, the arcade is crazy
This place is top notch! The games all worked and the food was good (unlike some other made for kid game places). Also you can't find kid friendly go karts anywhere else.
The bottom deck is cool and is where you can get credits/ instead of tickets. Whereas the top deck is fully arcade games where you just spend your money. Go kart track is pretty good. Needs to be bigger in my opinion. The other boomers have waaaay bigger ones. Mini golf made up for it though. It smells like little feet in there as well so 3 STARS! As a kid I came to boomers and I can't explain the thrill of seeing all those tickets fly out of the machine. Unfortunately times have changed, now boomers no lo
It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.
Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.
Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.
Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.
Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.
Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.
Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.
No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
Arcade prize games are a thrilling highlight in 2025! Claw machines, skee-ball, and ticket-redemption games like basketball offer a rush of skill and chance, with rewards like plushies, toys, or electronics up for grabs. Modern machines feature vibrant lights, digital scoreboards, and responsive controls, amplifying the fun. The lively arcade atmosphere, with cheering crowds and buzzing energy, makes every win feel epic.
