??????? A staple of visiting SPI via the Valley! There's a lot of fun, tourist type attraction & ?? photo ops here. On the inside filled with every souvenir imaginable. ?????????????? I think there's an arcade in the back & they may even serve food. They have small refreshments & snacks. Things are over priced but it's a must see at least ONCE. ??
Very awesome place a lot of stuff to see and get good times kids loved it and they have ice cream
I....I don't know what this place is ?? The store is nice, has all the generic standard beach store things, and is very clean. We did not do the blackout mini golf or arcade, but did "Bobz Journey", which, for what it was, was honestly way overpriced. $11 per person just to walk around and look at very, very odd looking creatures, most of the water features outside didn't work, and the voiceovers on the inside only worked on a couple of the exhibits.
Bobz World ?? is a nice place to enjoy a wholesome time. We enjoyed the mini golf ?? and Bobz Journey. The Bobz Journey was so fun lots of fun photo moments. My fave is the giant gorilla and dinosaurs ??. We also had the ice cream which was delicious!!
Everything about this place was great?except the t shirt selection, BUT, everything else made me not care. The prices were good for a souvenir shop and the staff was super friendly!!! It's a super neat place I'll definitely stop in again if I get the chance
Fun little pit stop for black light golf and adventure museum was fun twist on a wax museum
Such a fun place for the family! My kids loved Bobz World's exhibits and outside area. Hidden gem of fun and won't break the bank! The glow in the dark mini golf was such a hit with my kiddos!
Great tourist spot! Lots of cool things in the Bobz journey exhibit and a good price. Mini golf was fun and air conditioned. Yummy ice cream shop to cool down after being outside.
This place is outside of los Fresno's Texas and we lived it here. Lots to do and plenty of selfies and picture opportunities. This place was fun and the selection of souvenirs is amazing. I bought 3 shirts here. Loved this place
The photo ops are many, but almost everything in the gift shop is extremely over priced. Some of the cool stuff that you think is inside, like the space that has netting over it with what looks like a spaceship inside is non-functional. I ate there several years ago, but don't remember it being anything out of the ordinary.
Need a souvenir, craving ice cream, or maybe you play on some arcades or black light mini golf. This is your place!!
Worst experience ever wanted to stop by and check thinks outs this lady with blond hair stopped us because we had my service dog and then started to interrogate me and ask me why I was not holding him and starting asking for my medical conditions. Stay away from this place not friendly or service dog friendly
I came here for a bell , they had one style bell , metal , but all of them had the words peeling off. Lots too see , but I didn't buy anything. Lots of shells if your looking to buy some. It was super empty, so it was peaceful just looking around. Lots of kool stuff .
First time here. I loved it. Had so many gifts to buy. I LOVED all the different seashells and all. Will be back to purchase on my next trip.
Great place?? Blue Bell ice cream cafe inside loved the coconut ice cream wow??Loaded with souvenirs??
What a fun place! Black light mini golf, crazy indoor and outdoor museum with superheroes and dinosaurs, ice cream, arcade, and all the shells you could want. I do feel sad for the hermit crabs. But any souvenirs you need, they have it. So many fun photo ops too so this is the place to go.
The place itself is great just to see outside for free and take pictures then they have a store to shop. Its a big game room, golf, laser tag, and bobz world it's $11 for each person 2 and under free but it's so cool and so big you walk underground first it glows in dark and a history museum then you will walk to the outside Dinosaur its do cool
Pretty cool. Combo for Bobs world and glow in the dark mini golf was $14.50. Bobs world is outdoors and some indoor area. It has different eras of the USA and fiction characters as well as dinosaurs and other animals made out of plaster or something.
This is a great place to shop for souvenirs as they have a wide range to choose from; clothe, jewelry, figurines, toys etc. The snack shop has a several selections of ice cream, and other snacks like chips, churros, smoothies etc. Although they do have an arcade and mini golf, the few times I've visited with family, I've only done the tour which is mostly for child entertainment. The whole tour, indoor and outdoor tour takes about 20 mins, 30 at most. There's plenty of photo ops throughout the tour.
Great place for souvenirs! Wide variety! Great place to get the energy out before making a long drive back home. The wax museum is weird, but the outside exhibit was totally worth it. Very fun. I would have been disappointed if we DIDNT stop.
This is a really great place. Good atmosphere for families, and the workers were really friendly. Also the gift shop is amazingly priced and has a huge selection. The only recommendation I would make as far as improvement is that the bobz journey inside exhibits could be dusted more, and some of the lights are burnt out. Other than that it was overall an enjoyable experience.
Visited Bobz World when I traveled to South Padre Island. It's 30 minutes away. Our group of 4 got the packaged deal of exploring Bobz World Journey and Mini Golf. We loved mini golf! We didn't know before but there is a QR code to keep score. I would like to say the same for the Journey. I was more confused than anything. We get taken back in time to pirates, the ocean, the 1950s. Then traveling outside to catch sights of dinosaurs and a LARGE gorilla ?? We then played some arcade games and like most of ar
Cool place to stop for shells and beach related decorations. Not really a kid freidly type of place, lots to break....
Can't believe I had never been there before. Super neat store that offered a variety of things. It also has an arcade in the back of the store and also an ice cream that sells snacks and coffee
We celebrated our daughter's 14th birthday at Bobz World. They had a great time going through Bobz Indoor World and Outdoor World! We got the combo package with "Glow-in-the-Dark" mini golf. We also went to the beach and swam at our club house pool, but all the kids agreed, Bobz World was the funnest part of the day! Thanks for making our daughter's birthday so memorable! ??
This place was pretty cool. Has a game room and souvenir shop. Very interesting spot to take pictures. Friendly staff. They have pizza and ice cream, mini golf, laser tag. Just fun for the whole family.
Pretty expensive to play 9 holes for 8 bucks. Better off doing the unlimited play where you can play other games. Like a package deal. Also a good spot to pick up island tourism type stuff. They might have a shell or 2 for sale. Great photo spots with all kinds of statues.
The mini golf isn't that big from the outside it looks amazing but then you go inside and the arcade is tiny the mini golf is tiny the store is kinda interesting but won't recommend
It was an ok place. We took the Bobz journey and were a little disappointed with the beginning because alot of the figures were not working. Played in the arcade for a bit but that's about it. Once you get outside on the journey tour then it gets a little better.
Why does this place have 4.5 stars?! Only good part about this place was the wide selection of souvenirs and the lady that worked at the blue bell shop. When my family and I walked into the arcade it smelt like dead hermit crabs and rotten food. My father was pushing my infant cousin around in his car seat in a shopping cart because we forgot the stroller. The lady at the front desk told us we couldn't bring the cart back there. As we continued through the arcade, most of the games were out of order or woul
I really like this place Lots to do inside and out. They seemed to have gotten rid of their more expensive clothing and just stuck with the tourist stuff, but I get it...times are hard.
Loved it! You'll be there a good while. There's also a Blondie by the ice cream parlor that'll let you take some awesome pictures with him. I was able to get a frisky video, unable to be posted here. Lol
Fun place to go to.We stopped here on our way home from South Padre. My two year old had a great time although she got scared of the Pirates at first. You could easily spend a couple of hours here just by exploring and looking at souvenirs.Theres an arcade inside this place also.Children under three are free.We just did Bobz Journey and it cost me and my husband $25.98 for two adults.I'd definitely go back and spend more time just to sit and relax.
Well, the first thing is that we drove 15 miles to play mini golf on a Friday, but their hours had changed, and only the gift shop was open. We drove back again on Sunday. The blacklight golfing was ok, but way too short.
This place is okay for kids. Not really for adults. Also the Bobz Journey was museum is not worth seeing everything is really kind of thrown together and not really nice. However it's still a good place to bring the kids if you have any.
We stumbled on this great place while just out driving around..it's near Los Fresno, Tx about 11 miles from Brownsville, Tx..Outside is a huge display of fiberglass/concrete displays of Dinosaurs ????, Whales, Mermaids, Dolphins, Shells, Sharks, etc..Inside it had a Huge gift shop and small area for snacks or Blue Bell ice cream cones.?? ..And..there is an admission ???fee to the Arcade game area, Museum, Laser tag.buiding, and more displays of ancient creatures.. have fun!
A great tourist place to stop on the way out of South Padre Island for last minute souvenirs are as a little break for kids to have fun with mini golf.
Had a great time with the kids here! We have a 3 and 9 year old they both enjoyed the whole thing!
We went on a day where there was hardly any people. I do feel like they should invest more into this place. Still giving them 5 stars. Great experience overall!
So much to buy at good prices. Love going hear every year!
This store is very large and full of all kinds of fun gifts and souvenirs. There is a restaurant and a little arcade area for kids. Outside there are dinosaurs and what I believe is a pathway for people to tour the large dinosaurs. It's a very cool place to stop on your way out of #SouthPadreIsland. They even have some hermit crabs that you can buy! We ended up buying a couple of beach themed souvenirs and we will return when we visit South Texas again.
Bobz World is always a fun stop, they have a cute outdoor journey, a great arcade, and a really nice glow in the dark, under water theme (indoor) mini golf. Kids and adults enjoy at Bobz World.
This place is awesome. There is so much to look at. I went with my family and we had a lot of fun. Definitely worth it (:
It was ok. Something fun to do inside on our way back home from south padre island and out of the heat. Up to date games. Food wasn't very good. But has a large gift shop. Some of the large out door decor needs some renovations.
This place is pretty cool. There are hermit crabs, shells, home decor, clothing and souvenirs.
What an interesting place! We saw it from the road as we were passing and just had to pull over and check it out. It is exactly what you would expect from a road side attraction with all of it's UPS and downs. It was the perfect test stop for a couple of weary travelers. We left refreshed from a nice stroll.
Only went in the gift shop and took pictures with the grandkids but think it sounds like a fun place with many different activities. Going to plan a second trip to try blue light mini golf
Fun all around! Loved it! Lots too look at and buy and there's also an arcade. The sculptures outside were awesome too. You need to see it in person.
Pretty cheesy place. Not kept up very well. Could use a good cleaning. Mosquitoes were terrible. Had a big souvenir shop, and arcade to spend our money in?..Kids seem not to notice things us adults do, grandkids had fun. One time to visit is more than enough.
Nice, cool little place with an arcade and a tour of sort. Allot of different types of items from wind chimes to many shells for souvenirs.
Bobz World is basically a large souvenir store with a separate back area. We wanted to play minigolf. It is not an outside course. To play the 9 hole glow-in-the-dark minigolf, you have to buy pricey tickets. The glow in the dark is cool. There is also a small area near the ticket counter with a handful of arcade games, which are not included in the entrance fee. It was a long ride over the bridge from South Padre Island. Outside is a cool sculpture of a coral reef, but it's fenced off. Next time I'd find a
Nice place to visit when looking for indoor activities. Decent arcade room and cool Black light miniature golf. Gift shop had a great selection that was reasonably priced.
Stopped by to look for souvenirs. Bathroom had no toilet paper in any of the stalls. Let the two girls know at the front, but they did not seem excited to help. Very rude and not friendly at all
Love it here but didn't know about their seasonal hours, kinda lame with them and wasted a lot of gas coming
Awesome first time experience, Great place to take the kids. As to, coming back as a family destination tradition maybe every once in a while. The mini-golf was fun with as much as it can be with a 4 and a 6 year old can be. Game room was good but Chucky Cheese has Great deals on unlimited play for the time you select. The sculptures were Awesome, not everyday you see a larger than life dinosaurs, gorilla it a menagerie of different, unrelated themes but the kids and maybe the adults were in Awe. Did not sh
We only checked out the parking lot sculptures but they were all pretty cool.
Super cool place to visit. I will be going by again soon. Kiddos had lots of fun.
Cool spot with tons of stuff to check out. It can be a bit overwhelming. Prices are a bit high, but you can find some unique souvenirs. They've got an arcade and loads of other fun activities. Perfect for a family outing if you're ready to spend a little cash.
Fun place to visit, lots of variety in souvenirs and shells, I always stop by when visiting Spi. Good prices, helpful kind staff
Pretty interesting place but a little run down. The inside exhibit was hot(85?) and being in the summer, doesn't help when going outside when it's still hot? also the few employees that were there, seemed like they hated their job and didn't even look up to greet you.
Weather you want to window shop, play some video games, get a little snack or just get a souvenir. This is the place.
On the day in question there was a Trump Rally (see photos). We'll plan a return visit since we were not able to stay very long.
Very friendly staff, and a huge verity of items. There wasn't a lot of people though, could be because I went on a weekday, definitely worth checking out though.
For our first time being here it was fun. We went for mini golf with our little one. She had a blast. Friendly staff.
It's an okay place, it says they have over so many flavors but they have about 15 less than they advertise.
This place is amazing, I could have spent hours here, so many beautiful shells and corals, I absolutely love this store. Go ahead, so and see what calls to you then show us what you got...
Bobz is the best, small group for a bus full. When you think we need for the beach or from the beach you can find beer at the best price. Get you something to eat while you're shopping the nachos are great the pizzas good and modestly priced. Take a few minutes and walk around some wonderful things inside, and get some great pictures outside
Overall not the best experience. The arcade was lackluster and not worth the pricing for the cards to play. Some of the items for sale were dusty on the shelves like they had been there for months untouched. I went to visit the ice cream stand they have in the corner and was repeatedly ignored by the staff there while I was waiting. Yet, when another woman approached, they immediately attended to her. I ended up leaving without purchasing an ice cream since the service was extremely subpar. Overall it was v
They would get 5 stars if they would add back the water features/fill the pools on Bobz Journey. That is part of the journey that you pay for, but don't get for the value. I understand the maintenance an costs, but their visitation would increase if they fixed this. It is a nice get away for the day with a variety of things to do. The snack shop was also affordable. The prices in the gift shop are on the higher end, so don't be shocked. My little one had fun and had a smile, what more can a parent ask for
What a fun place! Great selection of arcade games and their attractions are a blast. Loved the laser tag the most.
HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT. Paid $15 per person for Bobz Journey and mini golf. The golf goes by super quickly, 15 min, and they don't tell you when you purchase it that you can only do it 1 time, so take your time doing it. Mini golf was probably the most fun, but it was only 9 holes, and didnt last long. Bobz Journey outside looks like it used to be cool but now it looks like they dont keep up with maintenance and it just looks run down. Bobz Journey indoors was just really weird wax statues with no real theme.
Really neat place great for pictures. Has a spot for kids to play while adults shop. As well as a place to grab snacks.
They could have more indoor and outdoor exhibits and there was a closure on the outside exhibits. But other than that it's ok.
So much fun here...they have games n lots of items to buy.
My favorite souvenir store. Lots of beautiful large coral and shells.
Nice, big place. Have food and arcade and shopping. Had a nice time
Just based on all the fun places to take photos this is a 5 out of 5 for me. Wish they would do away with the fences around the structures. Come early does close @6 and the entire area is fenced.
It was great a lot to see, and I do recommend it for kids and adults.
Very eclectic store of part museum, part arcade, part gift shop, part cafe. Best selection of shells to purchase. The cafe serves Blueel Bell ice cream.
It was great but need to go the weekends to experience all it has to offer
It's a nice place, very plentiful, but unfortunately there is very blatant animal cruelty in this store. The hermit crabs are not in a good environment and really they shouldn't be sold at souvenir shops with people who have no knowledge how to properly to accommodate them. There were definitely a few dead ones in there, and even a dead one outside of its shell. Nonetheless the store has a lot of things you can buy but the hermit crabs really shouldn't be in that state.
Largest seashells store I have ever seen! An alternative if you can't find good seashells on the beach.
Very good time, wonderful photo taking, on a beautiful Sunday
This place is Fantastic! There is an awesome Journey you can take showing displays of variety themes. Go check it out! I encourage you to do it.
The mini golf course was cool and they have a old school ice cream bar inside
Its so fun they gave lots if stuff and the many hermit crabs theu sell good gift for any child
This was a very cool stop! If your passing by I would highly recommend paying it a visit. They have all sorts of activities for the family!
It was amazing my family enjoyed it was enjoyable, wish there was more movement on the stuff but we had so much fun and got alot of stuff in the store!????
It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.
Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.
Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.
Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.
Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.
Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.
Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.
No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
