Boardwalk Fun 'n Games

Reviews Summary

The arcade receives mixed reviews, with many praising its fun games, clean environment, and friendly staff (especially one employee with piercings). However, numerous complaints highlight broken machines, unfair ticket payouts, and poor customer service. Some find it small but enjoyable for kids, while others criticize high prices, lack of working games, and unprofessional behavior from certain staff. Prizes and ticket values are appreciated by some, but others feel scammed by malfunctioning equipment. Location and cleanliness are positives, but inconsistent hours and cramped space are drawbacks. Customer Reviews

I highly recommend Boardwalk Fun n' Games! It's very clean, has lots of new and fun games, prizes, and a professional staff. I'll be back for sure.

Arcade? Kind of. By random chance, all the games that are not working happen to be the games that produce tickets so this place doesn't have to give out any prizes. Claw machines be empty too. Kids weren't too impressed. I was able to harvest 18 ruby?s from the claw machine in the video though. Get here before they're gone!

This place is scamming people out of tickets and points. I hit the max bonus on this machine and wasn't rewarded anything. The customer service agent said that that machines from a sister company and doesn't reward tickets properly. All she offered me was a refund on the spin of 1 dollar. Very very bad business practice when you're spending 100 bucks on games and they won't even hold up their end of you're entitled rewards. This owner also apparently owns salt steakhouse, the pizza pasta parm place next to

Took my younger siblings to the arcade today, to our surprise they've added a bunch of new games since the last time we went and they were thrilled! As for the employees the girl at the counter with piercings was very polite and couldn't have been more patient when my siblings couldn't decide their prizes.

Absolutely disgusting place. The machines scams people 2x the amount when buying credits. Sketchy to begin with, they have note cards that are hand written that tell people about fraud on them?. Tried to ask an employee to check the cameras near the entrance and to verify our REAL amount we wanted. Suddenly the cameras are not able to capture it. Continued to gaslight the situation into believing it's not their fault (their own machines) and said the credit card number matches up?.. of course it does, our a

I visited the arcade and as I was paying at the kiosk for the game card for my kids the male employee came over to turn the sign that mentions there are games that aren't working. I looked around and saw some games were off. I believed those were the only ones that were ?broken?. I paid $32 I believe for a game card for the kids. As I walked around I noticed most of the games more than I thought would be out of service. Probably about 90% of the games are not working ! Some of which were on and the lights w

Came here last weekend with my family and had so much fun! The girl at the front desk with the dark hair and piercings was super helpful and kind . Will definitely be coming back soon!

Just wanted to start out with my girls would have given this place 5 stars if there was no mishap! Earlier today my wife and 2 little girls came in to play some games. She explained that while they were waiting to redeem points a man with face tattoos visibly ignored them and showed no interest in helping out. Apparently whatever was on his iPad was more important. Flustered, my wife was about to leave without their prizes... but a nice young lady with a nose ring helped check them out. She is the only reas

Tess is very knowledgeable and her service and demeanor left an impression that positively influenced my mood. Definitely improved an otherwise standard place

Nice clean arcade to spend some time inside hiding from hot or cold weather.

Great place to play at, but what I recommend if you have over. 2 friends is to go somewhere else because most of the machine there are for 2 people and 1 people. I haven't seen a 3 player game there. So best recommended for 2 people

When it was in the previous location, it was twice as big and had a pinball machine ("Dialed In" by Jersey Jack Pinball). Now the new location feels cramped, lacks its pinball machine, and doesn't carry as many machines.

My kids enjoyed and the woman was so helpful and nice. My son lost his prize and she replaced it for him. It's a bit small but the games are new. Lovely experience!

Nice upscale boardwalk only problem is the over priced parking!

So many fun games! The best thing about it is that the tickets are worth more than at other places so everyone is satisfied with their prizes. The employees are so nice! Highly recommend it!

Fun place the prizes were limited but the games make up for it the photo machine is busted spat out more photos then selected which is sweet

We had such a super duper fun time at this place. Even though it's a bit small we still were able to spend a good hour here and try out most of the games.

It was OK for my kids they're 2 and 5 but the young girl and the woman who was working Monday nite when I was there were so nasty! They seemed so bothered by anyone who even spoke to them.. Not welcoming at all.I'll never go back there

Nice little arcade in pier village. Maybe can use a couple more arcades otherwise great place.

The guy at desk was really nasty

My last experience with sary

98% of the games are broken and they don't refund you. Don't bother coming here

This is a small arcade very close to the boardwalk in Long Branch, New Jersey. They have various electronic games things like skee ball, bowling, video games, etc. The arcade is a great place to go when you want to take a break from the beach or in the evening.

A lot of broken games, very pricy and crane games with larger prizes are physically impossible to win. They should be ashamed of themselves. Poorly ran established.

We are there at least 2-3x a week and my son enjoys it all the time. Employees are very nice

Really clean and great assortment of games! Kids have a chance to win prizes easily! Not too expensive either!

This place is a lot of fun! My kids all enjoyed the games.

Update your hours. Drove all the way here because it said it was open

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s it like visiting an arcade today?

It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.

Is it better to go alone or with friends?

Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.

What should I bring to an arcade?

Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.

What’s the best time to visit an arcade?

Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.

Can I meet new people at arcades?

Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.

Are arcades still just for kids?

Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.

Are there events or tournaments I can join?

Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.

What if I’m not great at arcade games?

No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
