BigTime Entertainment

BigTime Entertainment

Reviews Summary

Overall, Big Time Entertainment offers a mix of fun activities like go-karts, bowling, laser tag, and mini-golf, with many praising the variety and clean facilities. However, frequent complaints include broken arcade games, high prices, long wait times for rides, and inconsistent staff service. While some had excellent experiences, others faced poor management and unmet expectations, particularly with party reservations and arcade functionality. The venue is popular for family outings but needs improvements in maintenance and customer service to match its potential.

Customer Reviews

I stopped by while in town with my family. I'm from Birmingham so we have go-karts here. The go-karts were nice and not that expensive, however the arcade and bowling were incredibly expensive for no apparent reason. We went on a Friday night and the place was EMPTY compared to places in our area. The prices were ridiculously high honestly. The staff didn't seem to want to be there at all. Some were friendly and some were flat out rude. I asked a local person in the area if they had been there and they imme

Great time!! My gang definitely enjoyed themselves. We purchased the Big Family package and we were every where. The facility was very clean and the staff were more than amazing and welcoming. Definitely will be back for more fun. We went race karting, laser tag, arcade, and the kids did the ninja course all day! I wish the served alcohol but even the food was great. 10/10 Would definitely recommend.

We drove from Auburn to celebrate our son's 13th birthday because he really wanted to go gokarting. What we found was an awesome fun center full of all kinds of options to keep our crew ages 13 to 49 busy, laughing and having fun for hours. The facility was clean, well equipped with very short wait times. Special shout out to Mason for great explanations, information, help and patience as we were making decisions. We ended up doing multiple runs with gokarts, lazer tag and tried almost all games in arcade.

Take the extra little drive to Dave & Buster?s? Brought my daughter here because she loves the arcade. Just note that if you come here there's nothing displayed, but if you get the unlimited card for unlimited gameplay for one hour, your child will not get to purchase a toy with the tokens that they won. Plus, half of the games were out of service. This place does not serve alcohol for the adults and honestly is not that great. I would not recommend.

Good place to bring the kids allot to play bolling, Mini golf, arcades, race cars your kids will love this place 100%

Went with some baseball players that are in town for all star tournament and had a blast. Was super crowded bc of all the teams in town but still was able to enjoy it. Some of the games were down only downfall. Putt-putt course was fun and the young workers at the go karts were super friendly. Def would go back again when less crowded.

We love arcades. My son loves BigTime. On our most recent trip, multiple games were in need of repair and not working. I hope these issues are fixed soon.

We took our son to the Soft Play area and he had such a great time! He really enjoyed it, and it's a fun space for kids to burn off energy. The only downside was that the area felt pretty cramped, especially the seating for parents?it was a bit tight and uncomfortable. I'd love to see a renovation in the future to make the space more open and comfortable for both kids and parents and maybe to add a play area for younger kids under 4 or 3 years old would be perfect and make the experience for everyone!

Fantastic amusement center for families and adults! Attractions include child soft play, a small but modern arcade, mini golf, laser tag, bowling, axe throwing, a Ninja Warrior course, and a multi-level go kart track. There is also a cafe with standard fast food-type fare and a lovely patio out back next to the axe throwing. Prices for the attractions were fairly reasonable (though food is pricey). Staff were very friendly and helpful!

Dry dissatisfied, sold drinks then turn nozzle off so we couldn't get refills. Basically told us not our fault. Bowling was messed up, pins wouldn't stand up. Basically was shutting down while we were trying to finish our game. If you don't want to be open till nine then don't sell tickets. We paid the same price just to be rushed out. Will not be returning to this place, waste of money

If you are planning a gender reveal this is an amazing place to do it! The VIP lanes are the perfect place to gather your family and friends for this special event. They have pink and blue pins and even set up the lights to flash pink and blue was we bowled and had Gender Reveal up on the screens! It was such a great set up!! They have beautiful party rooms, plenty of table and space and let me not forget to say how really good the pizza here is! Denise and Danny will go above and beyond to assist you in

SOOOO MUCH FUN???? There's something here for everyone?? Pizza ?? is amazing?? First time here & won't be the last??

Great vibe and All round great environment for partys for adults and kids ?Prices was very budget friendly! I would?ve gave it 5 stars if it wasn't for Shanna at the food(big time grille) area .. she was rude for no reason. I paid a lot of money to have to deal with someone who act like she don't like her job. Very rude didn't smile or greet me or nothing . Shanna needs a new job it shows

I use to love this place but I have considered other places to take my family for entertainment. This place was paid off prior to opening. You won't let customers enjoy the wheel. We still spend money but can't enjoy the wheel. This place has become greedy. Come up with a membership like the McWane Center. This will allow members to enjoy the wheel an unlimited amount of times. You're still able to profit off the monthly membership. This thing of being greedy is getting old. You can't be greedy with the gam

I'd give it a 3.5, almost 4 mostly based on the expense of it. It can easily add up quick for a family. Went on a Saturday in May 2024 after lunch as a group of 9. We played putt putt, virtual reality, ninja warrior course, arcade, axe throwing & laser tag. Spent about 4- 5 hours there. Location: easy to find by gps. Has its own parking lot & easy to park. Service: could be more interactive or work the floor more. Most interaction is behind the counter and it was a little scattered. It would be nice to h

This was a fun place!! The bowling alley upstairs was really nice! Our lane had a few hiccups but the attendants was always quick to fix and make them right! After bowling our kids went to the ninja obstacle course they loved it and went through it many times! While waiting the adults found some awesome massage chairs!!!!! 3 minutes for 1$!!! It was this moms dream!! The go carts was also a lot of fun and the putt-putt was a blast! We enjoyed this place so much! After playing a few games I won my mom a lava

It's always fun to come here with the kids. They enjoy it as much as I do, probably more. We love the indoor go-kart track, playground, bowling, laser tag, all of it, and even the classics. I'd definitely recommend coming here and having fun.

I came here Wednesday, and had an amazing time. Go Karts and Lazer Tag were quite fun. I would also like to give a big thankful to Cam at Go Karts. He was very helpful and nice to have a conversation with!

My son has yet to stop bragging about his birthday party. He had a blast, but be prepared to spend a ton of money. The party itself was over $400. That was with the 3 extra pizzas we purchased. You are not allowed to bring outside food or drink (other than cake), so be prepared to buy everyone a coke product. Decorations are not included, but that's ok. We didn't have enough seating in our room, but we also didn't ask for more. They may have provided more chairs. I'm unsure. My children were not al

Went in to bowl, they were nice but they stopped serving food and stop serving fountain drinks an HOUR before they closed like what? Then as I was leaving a grandpa and a little kid walked in to put put they said no because they were about to close, it is the middle of summer kids have nothing to do during summer this place is not very good

My family of 11 visited here to celebrate my son's 16th birthday. We all had a blast despite the system failure they experienced earlier. The Go Karts were the main attraction we all wanted to experience. I guess we have to try again another time. The Ninja Warrior Course was fantastic. We had a ball, and all the kids beat the heck out of all the adults...smh Sad but true. Everyone was bowlin, so we were unable to get a lane.. Laser Tag was extremely awesome!! Staff was young, so some were a little rude. I

My daughter 2nd birthday party was amazing we had an awesome crew to assist with our setup. Very friendly and clean establishment, the kids had lots of fun. Thank you Big time entertainment

Typically enjoy going here with my family. However, we received Big Time Bucks and went to use them today. The cards state that they are good for ALL attractions, arcade games, and food. Went to purchase a ticket for an attraction and was told they were only good for arcade games even after showing the cashier what was stated on the cards. This is false advertisement and honestly bad for business to not honor your own business guidelines.

Great place, bad customer service. My boyfriend and I were here with our college group and we wanted to play laser tag. We had to wait a long time and my boyfriend went to talk to the dude who was supposed to be working it, and once he started talking the guy got a phone call, put his finger up, and left mid conversation. No one came over to start the game for about 5 minutes and no communication whatsoever. We were on a time crunch so the game getting delayed wasn't ideal. There were also people who had al

Love the indoor go carts was super fun if you have toddlers there is a small play area for them to play but not much else that they can do I liked the axe throwing and laser tag. There have a little pizza wing and burger place that's pretty good but they close early last two times I've went it's been hard to get food. Employees are pretty nice ?? and its super clean. All in all it's a great night to spend with your family and have some fun

This is your warning: This place is NOT it. I would not recommend this place. Everything is broken, the value for money is not there. Is this a locally owned place? It feels like someone tried but failed here. Awful staff and its not clean.

Place is large, neat, and clean. I suggest you have a goal of what you'd like to do, as it can get pricey. The soft play is a three-story corner area. It has heavy duty netting to keep kids contained. There are slides and foam obstacles. All arcade games are utilized via your prepaid card. Most games cost between a dollar and $2.50. You do acquire tickets and they go directly to the card to use in the prize area.

Awesome place. They have putt-putt golf Halo a ninja track or obstacle course and laser tag. They also have arcade games and great food. Food was a little expensive but the games and golf were pretty cheap. I would suggest checking it out we had a lot of fun very entertaining very nice family-oriented place

The bowling lanes and arcade are nice, just doesn't serve alcohol. Never been to a bowling alley where they didn't at least serve beer. That's why I give it 3 stars

I love big time, and always will. I've always been there for most of my birthdays since it's been open. But the last few times I've been, there hasn't been any stuffed animals in the claw machines just the balls. I'd really love if you guys brought backs the stuffed animals please and fill the ticket roll claw machines up. Thank you so much.??

We took our four year old to the soft play area. This place is so poorly managed. The employees (with the exception of one guy) were on their phones most of the night. They were not watching the children at all. The girl that was supposed to be watching the soft play area should be fired immediately. She stood at the gate and allowed anyone inside which included a group of about ten boys that didn't have wrist bands for the soft play area. She continued to let toddlers and babies run out of the gate when o

always a good time! plenty of things to do for all ages

Came from Birmingham for my nephew's birthday party and a very nice place! The games in the arcade definitely top of the line, very nice and clean facility, and the pizza served was great.

Bought my son here for his birthday. The establishment offers basically everything in one place (go karts, mini golf, laser tag, bowling, virtual reality, arcade, and ax throwing). The outside and inside of the facility was very clean. The go kart track is big and inside (a plus with the crazy weather in Alabama). My son loved the go karts and laser tag. However, I took a star off because most of the arcade games didn't work and front desk staff wasn't very welcoming.

It was great for bowling, mini golf, gocarts, and the hologate. The arcade games were quite lax and half of them were broken. Did have a cool connect 4 basketball game. If they would fix the arcade games it would be an amazing place.

They wasted a lot of money putting in lanes that aren't regulation. Whomever convinced them that was a good idea could probably sale ice to an Eskimo. The VIP lanes are not VIP lanes. It's essentially a 6 lane bowling alley that isnt well maintained as far as lane conditions are concerned. Pricing is ridiculously steep. If there was specto on the lanes then maybe justifiable. For some reason if you call yourself an "entertainment center" it justifies charging double/tripple for bowling. Drive to Douglasvill

I went bowling and laser tag with my friends and upon our arrival we met Mrs shanell, she treated us all like she was out favorite auntie made us feel just like family, she did so well in such a high functioning environment, she's the reason well definitely be coming back.

A little bit of everything to play is right here but it does cost way too much bowling, go carts race track, golf and games. When I was a kid we didn't have anything like this in my town.

My birthday celebration with my friends and family was everything amazing and more the employe shanell she made it much more enjoyable is such a busy place on a Saturday she helped up figure out exactly what packages that were needed for my entire family we thank her for her wonderful customer service she is definitely a vital part of big time entertainment looking forward to going back

We usually have a good experience here, but the last time we went the guy who was working concessions was horrible. He lost our order of 3 slices of pizza while 3 other families got their whole ones before us and didn't offer to ask whether we wanted chips or fries with our combo, or even offer the chips to us as a selection. He didn't seem to know what was going on around him or even care to be there.

Came here for our 2 year anniversary and had a blast. Food was pricy but soooo good! The go carts were fun and the put put was amazing. The drive from Georgia was definitely worth it! Will be back!

It can be pricey but we went on half off arcade day and had a blast and the kids always enjoy the ninja course

Took my grandson to play putput and the greens were absolutely filty there was sticks and twings and leaves and dirt all over them made it very hard to play you would think they would have someone hit them with a leaf blower a couple of times a week such a nice place to just let go especially with how much it costs to play.

The bowling lanes and games were fun, the massage chairs while the kids drive go karts was great, the arcade could be a bit bigger and the kids enjoyed the laser tag. The last thing is the price of the food, now I didn't try it but I saw a lot of people leaving their food on their plate, so the kitchen may need to be revamped so people won't waste money buying items that are not good!!!

The young staff lack any professionalism and are more focused on other things then the job. Very small spacing and overpriced your better off taking the trip to Birmingham, they have a dave n busters; the amount you pay in gas would not even compare to the amount you will spend here. Maybe it was just my experience but the customer service was horrific.

Fair prices for family friendly fun. My visit only consisted of playing mini-golf and laser-tag. The mini-golf course featured 18 holes with a final hole being the ball return. Our party of four adults had a blast. Just be aware that the course is outside with little shade so wear hats and/or breathable clothing. Laser-tag course was in a two-story dark room with many flashing lights. There were plenty of things to hide around or peek through and ramps to walk up and down to alternate floors.

We always have an amazing time when we go. The staff is always so nice and helpful especially Tylan in the arcade prize area.

I just think it's expensive for what it is. Arcade games are really overpriced in my opinion 2 to 2.50 for most. Some as hi as 5 a turn?that last only a minute max. Pizza was on point though.

This is no doubt a 5 star place if my son had so much fun but the games are a little to high (video games) but it's a great place and I will be going back. If you haven't been I say go go now

The most fun my family has had in a long time. We spent about 6 hours there. The go karts line was long but worth the wait. The game room was fun we racked up lots of points. The massage chairs were cool as well. This will be our fun place to visit w hen we are visiting again.

Wonderful experience for me and the kids. Hope to come back soon!

Worst experience ever. I rarely bother with giving a bad review, but in this case I think it needs to be a warning to others. My grandson and I wanted to do go-karts well first I had to prove his age which I couldn't do and then we couldn't ride in a go-kart together because I had open-toed sandals on. So we get our money back and most of the games were empty or not working. Then we paid $11 for my grandson to go through the overhead tunnels one time. Very expensive place and not very user friendly. I highl

Absolutely amazing. 19 year old with Autism and ADHD here, this place is genuinely amazing, and I don't often call things amazing. The staff are absolutely some of the kindest, understanding people I've met. One guy, who I'm sure might be the manager, went out of his way and paid for TWO experiences for me, which solidified my love for the staff. TONS, AND TONS of awesome games, activities, and way more. Honestly, this is one of best places I've been to. 20/10, would absolutely recommend.

Tons of fun and reasonably priced. My family of four bought a family day pass for $139.00 and we got to do laser tag, go karts, mini golf, and 4 arcade cards with $20.00 each. We had a blast.

We had fun here. We bowled and indoor go karts. Perfect place to hang out and get out of the rain.

Fun times indeed. If you're ever in Oxford, Alabama looking for a good time, this is THE place! They showed some Love to the Deltas on Founder's Day!

Over priced. credits are 1 to 1. So if a game is 1 credit that's $1.00 Waaaaaay over priced. My son races dirt bikes and sport quads but not old enough to drive a Jr. Kart. This was a waste of money as there's better places in birmingham and atlanta and worth driving to them. This place won't be around long. Obviously it has paid reviews and forces employees to leave 5 star reviews.

It's a money pit. Expect to spend $75 for 3 people and spend 1/2 hour there. The experiences are extremely overpriced for the short amount of time you get for them. The arcade is the only reasonably priced thing there. We spent $15 for one child at the arcade and thought that was the best deal. $21 for 3 people to do a 7 minute laser tag or VR experience. It would be so much better if you got multiple times at those experiences for that cost.

From the outside and first appearance, the facilities felt nice and "extra" in a good way. So we were excited when walking in to attend a birthday party. The pizza was honestly really good. We were however quite disappointed with the arcade. About 1/4 of the games were out of service, empty (claw machines, etc), or broken (would take your money and not function). This was 2pm on a Saturday, so machines just flat out being empty without being refilled, doesn't make a whole lot of sense. Additionally, the b

I have taken my children to this place a few times, it's a great place to go when it's not packed out. Also everyone lies about the age of their child so when I took my 65 pound five year old daughter they would not let her ride the go cart cause she was not six but when my boys ages 13/11 went and rode some of the little kids looked 4 or younger weighed prob 40 lbs was riding. Mind you my daughter who is five is as tall as my 11 year old and weighs more than him. Totally honesty I felt out of place. Will b

Surprised in a good way. Took my 5 year old grandson the week before New Years 2024. He played on the Ninga Warrior course, Soft play area. Price was $10.00 for all day which is cheaper than other in door play places. He had a blast running and playing with other kids. On Wednesday he got to play arcade games, half price after 3pm. Employees are courtesy, helpful, the place is clean, areas for parents to sit and watch. Would recommend trying it out!

The staff are friendly and nice. Food was good. Not a fan of the bowling pins being connect via strings as felt they would knock down by accident due to this on lane 12 not sure how other lanes are. They need some type of security there especially in the gokart area as there were a group of disrespectful rowdy kids and teens hitting the supports like they were boxing it and eachother entire time we were waiting and staff said nothing. Rules clearly state no rear ending other karts had a individual hit me on

Lots of fun activities but the wait times are a bit much. We waited over 90 minutes to ride the Go Karts. The turnaround time is not managed well. The kids running the attraction are not able to supervise the track and prep the next group to take the track. For this reason, it takes a painful amount of time between riders. If managed more efficiently, it might not be as bad. However, it is incredibly inefficient as currently operated. Laser tag is the same way. I do not anticipate returning.

Fun and convenient for my son 8th Birthday..quick day out without having to travel far off

Don't waste your money. We won't be back. We had a child?s birthday here with a small group of 6 kids and it was the worst experience we have ever had at a facility like this. The party started off fine and our hostess was kind. The problem lies in the events included with the party. We opted for Laser Tag and Go-Carts. There were no time slots reserved for our party which led to wait times in excess of an hour at each activity. The lines were not managed well by the staff and allowed other groups in li

Fun place for kids great games, lazer tags a blast

Can I just say the arcade at Big Time Entertainment is a joke! We paid $100 to play five games because everything else was broken or not working! Mini golf was fine, but the course needs to be cleaned up and hedges need to be trimmed. I hate complaining but I spent a lot of money and things need to be fixed.

Our go-to place for family fun. So thankful Big Time came to Oxford. My girls always have a great time! Go carts are a blast. We rode doubles and they were fast. Bowling is wonderful! Ninja course is good for all ages, but my kids liked it more I think. My only complaint is the arcade games are horribly overpriced in my opinion, but purchasing the gift cards make it a good bonus. As long as they continue that promotion, I'll be a repeat customer!

Awesome experience I loved the bowling alley and how fast the Go-Karts were

Best for 1 or all family members , Birthdays of any age just the best entertainment center I've ever been to and I've been Six flags, Disney world, Sea World and many more. I could not believe that this little town had this big attraction to me it's rare I've traveled 46 of the 48 states even Yellowstone and all the west. Yeah! For this place in my own back yard

The bowling lanes are undressed and the pins are held up by strings. Other than that the facilities are clean. Just bear in mind that

Fun environment.. BUT if you're wanting to ride go karts with your children or let them ride junior karts be prepared for a very long, unnecessary wait. They swap turns with just the single riders... and the junior/double karts. Even though the line was to the door on the double/junior kart side.. they continually swap turns. So if you're a single rider you can almost walk in line and you're on a kart in 5 to 10 minutes. So as a parent with my kids wanting to ride... we got to stand for over an hour to ride

Our third grade students attended Big Time for a field trip and had a fantastic time! The parents commented that it was great and the kids had so much fun. It was very organized and the staff were helpful and great!

The family had a wonderful time . Make memories that last and my grandson made his first strike ...

It is the first time for me I'm sad I can't do the go cart because I have a cast ??????

Extremely busy and unorganized. We waited in line for laser tag for 1 hour and the line never moved.

the staff is extremely rude. The place itself is fun, but one of the workers told us it would be a 30 minute wait for bowling and we came back 20 minutes later and not only did the girl tell us that it changed to a 2 hour wait (we understood because of it being a Saturday), she also was laughing while saying it seeing that we weren't happy. We just left.

Took the time to collect 25 cards for my kids to go have some fun. Upon getting their they were told the cards were only good for the arcade which the back of the cars clearly stated were good for carts arcade and food. The carts were the main thing they went to ride. They were disappointed to say the least after driving a little over an hour to get there.

This place was really fun. Did go-karting and bowling. Then we did the arcade. Some of the most fun Ive had as an adult.

The waiver was such a hassle I gave up and didn't go in. Why can't you just sign something and give them your money? Why do you have to have a phone to sign a waiver?

Had an amazing time yesterday for our first visit with the go karts and the ropes course. However staff was not very welcoming. The girl at the front desk just stared at us and waited for us to tell her what we wanted. Never welcomed us, never asked if we had questions. Literally didn't say a thing until we told her what we wanted. Then asked if there were closed toed shoes and socks. Gave us our total and no further information on where to go, how to get started etc. Get over to the go karts and the gentle

Wow... what a fun place... was only there 2 hours, but could have spent the whole day there with my lil guys.

Would have rated higher but...we have went and bowled upstairs and numerous times (today 3/16) and the lane gets stuck and we lose time. Today ot got stuck, told a lady, she said a guy would come and fix it and replace our time. We only had 10 minutes of playtime but our time ran out while waiting on him and no we did not get that time back. Just gets frustrating when it happens so often. The place is clean and the staff is usually nice.

We had a blast. Expensive but worth it.

Lots of fun, but EXTREMELY expensive. Some staff aren't friendly.

The atmosphere was great. Have a bonus point deal when purchasing cards. We looked on their website and it showed Holiday hours today noon to 8. We came from Atlanta to meet other family member there at 1:30. They were not opening until 3pm. They changes their hours on their website between Sunday and Monday. Disappointing but we did go hang out elsewhere. We spent 350.00 for 7 kids. They had fun but business needs to properly advertise their hours of operation moving forward .

WE HAD MY DAUGHTER Zoey's Birthday party here this past weekend. THE FAMILY ALONE WITH MYSELF HAD AWESOME TIME. THE STAFF WAS AWESOME AND THE SERVER HEIDI WENT ABOVE AND BEYOND TO MAKE THIS A SPECIAL CELEBRATION FOR MY LITTLE GIRL AS WELL AS DENISE. WE THANK YOU AND WE WILL RETURN. THANKS ALONZO

Very nice place overall. Clean facilities and everything in good working order. Visited during Spring Break 2023 and enjoyed ourselves overall, however there were two negatives that caused our rating. Nothing posted online about axe throwing not being open and we really wanted to do that. Also, paid 15.00 each for the go-carts for only 5 minutes on the track and some of that time was taken up by workers helping others on the track. That is ridiculous.

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s it like visiting an arcade today?

It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.

Is it better to go alone or with friends?

Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.

What should I bring to an arcade?

Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.

What’s the best time to visit an arcade?

Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.

Can I meet new people at arcades?

Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.

Are arcades still just for kids?

Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.

Are there events or tournaments I can join?

Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.

What if I’m not great at arcade games?

No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
