Really cool location, nice and clean and everithing works grat but sadly understaffed. We had to wait verry long to get a lane and if we wanted to change something we had to wait, and this cost us a lot of time.
Moderate experience. Worker was not at arcade stand, check-in stubborn and I asked them to change my name multiple times but didn't even after 2 games of bowling. Good deals though. And food.
Nice place for having at least 30 min of fun with bowling. Bowling cost around $6 which gives 20 balls comes for 10 rounds. Per lane, total 6 people can be added. Each person who is bowling should wear bowling shoes which need to be taken there for rent. They are not allowing to use our own shoes for bowling. Shoes cost $6.35 including tax. They have Season pass also. They have bright lane with lights on always and dark lane with no lights. Both are different experience. All ages can enjoy this. Lot of pa
We had the best coed wedding shower ever thanks to the staff at Berks Lanes Bowlero! The food was surprisingly very, very good - we selected from a range of options including salad, veggie & fruit trays, boneless wings, buffalo cauliflower, spring rolls, and two different kinds of flatbreads. They set out water dispensers, and we opted for the drink package - wine, beer, white claw, softdrinks, lemonade and tea. We brought in our own pretzels, chips, and personalized candies to put on all the tables, and w
I was trying to have a small gathering for my son's birthday on March 1st. We were only having 6-7 kids, plus 3 adult and he didn't want to have an entire party so the "party room" didn't make any sense to have. I called and requested to reserve a lane, but I was told we were too early two weeks prior. I explained what we were planning and was advised to call before we come in as we were bringing cupcakes. I ended up calling the Wednesday prior and spoke to Alexis(?). I mentioned again what I was plann
I was blown away by the sheer size of this place. At first, we noticed that there were many out of state vehicles and that a bowling tournament was happening on the left side of this business. However, after asking at the front desk, we were delighted to hear that the right side was still "open" bowl. Not only that, but the lane they chose for us was isolated from the crowd. So, we weren't too distracted by the noise of the tournament. We played two very pleasant games.
Friendly staff, clean establishment, the food and beverages are pretty pricey..10 bucks for a hotdog? Otherwise great place. Definitely going back just gotta establishment before going.
Horrible experience. Claw machines broke on me twice plus the cord got stuck in the claw making it impossible to even try to get something and every time it did, the claw machine shook on the way up YEETING the dang prizes to the side. I ordered Just a milkshake and it took 45 minutes for them to make it and there's barely any people. The workers were rude and didn't smile at all so yeah. If there were zero stars, id do that and I'm not big on giving bad reviews.
We went here as a group and had the most enjoyable experience. We were given two bowling lanes for unlimited time at a reasonable price. Kudos to Berks Lanes for making our day special!
We went to there for their New Years Eve celebration for the kids and it was perfect! The kids had a blast, the arcade was fantastic and the food arrangements were perfect! The staff was super friendly and extremely helpful. This was our first time here but we will definitely be going back.
It's a bowling alley. Cleaner than most. Lotta tv screens. Food's alright. My kids enjoy it.
Great place. It's clean, big enough for enjoy with the whole family and friends. Great service to. Fair price. We have so much fun.
We had my kids party here and we had a great time. A very clean and modern bowling alley with a great arcade. Chris and the staff did a great job. Thanks!
Overall, it was a good experience. However, it was very busy for a Monday morning and pretty loud, even for a bowling alley.
They really made the place look great. Only two major comments: the lane numbers are very hard to see, like totally hard to see. No biggie, just a comment. Also the red lights are very oddly hot, almost like a warming light for fries. Maybe a pink or Green would be more comfortable
Edit: We came for midnight ?glow? bowling. If you used to come to berks lanes for the glow in the dark and lights flashing. DONT waste your money. It's NOTHING like it used to be. The lights are not glow in the dark. They have a politics congress on next to the music videos.. lol It's nothing like it used to be. This new company has destroyed berks lanes. A big bar does not make up for what it used to be. The experience was not what it used to be AT ALL. First of all. I called to make sure they were open.
This used to be a great bowling alley. Since ownership changed, all aspects of the facility have deteriorated. Prices have increased significantly. The lanes break down constantly.
Let's just say the corporate DO NOT CARE IF U COMPLAIN !!!!! if you have a problem just go to the next place and move on. ESPECIALLY THEIR COPORATE EMPLOYEES ARE HORRIBLEEEEE they will literally lie to the director and say you're at fault. absolutely disgusting. Waste of time and air. Never going again.
Great time, fun atmosphere. Great way to burn calories and remove stress.
Berks Lanes hosted a team building event for my coworkers and I in the middle of the week. Jess was very friendly and supportive. She made sure my team had everything we needed for a great day out. Definitely coming back!
Great bowling alley and tons of arcade games. 1st time playing the Angry Birds coin game. 1st time here for a bowling tournament.
It was really fun to bowl...until we got hungry. The food here is WEAK. I'm talking about weekend youth soccer tournament concession stand bad. The burger looked so sad, the pretzel was the smallest possible thing, and the hot dogs took 25 minutes to be ready. Also, bathrooms were relatively clean for a Saturday night.
This place is lots of fun. If the bowling isn't your thing then you can try out the arcade, the pool table, or the bar. Either way it's a great place to spend with family and friends. They do serve food here and have bathrooms.
It's been a while since I've been bowling and was intrigued to see the big screens. At every lane and was impressed with how the food system worked. I really liked being able to put a card on file and then check out at the end. Super clean and great environment.
Went on a date here for a one year celebration and it was fantastic! Got the 2 hour Saturday special for bowling and we played the games away! We got better as we played and learned the different sizes of the bowling balls. There is food and refreshments available as well and the atmosphere gives off a great feeling. Definitely recommend going here for a fun time! They also have pool tables and arcade machines.
Great experience. Very fun atmosphere for adults and kids.
Lanes are in good condition, room to spread out to tables at each lane. Staff friendly.
My grandmother rents out a bowling alley every year for my uncle Jeff who has Down syndromes birthday. This past year she rented it out and we had great time! But after the party they gave her a $125 dollar up charge for ?violating their contract? the violation that was three people are food at the party that didn't bowl?? over the years we've rented out bowling alleys for the same event and none had stupid money hungry contract rules like this scam of a business. So if your renting out for a party and your
Brought my kids here for my nephew's birthday party. Party setup was nice. Kids played in the arcade afterward. Some of the games didn't work. Prices seemed a little high but I may just be out of touch. We were the only ones in the arcade at 4:30 p.m. on a Saturday. Found that odd.
Nice lanes, but the pricing is ridiculously expensive for everything. Shoe rental is $4.99, games are $5.49. The food menu is limited and expensive. No single snack items like soft pretzels. They are going through a remodel and it looks nice, but at those prices I will not be returning with my family of 5. I had thought about joining a league, but with those drink prices I would not buy anything so no point coming here.
This place is awesome. Lanes were pretty occupied even on Monday evening but there are so many lanes. Fun with good vibes. The food was so good. The servers were very attentive and nice. I could see they were very very busy but still they are serving with nice gestures. The bar also had a lot of options and was very reasonably priced. Good experience. Would definitely recommend. Good to go with both friends or family. The arcade games are also fun.
A very well laid out and maintained event venue. Everything was really well done! We had a great time bowling, we had a few snacks and we hit the arcade. The arcade was very nice with lots of options for teens.
Showed up around 11, they said they closed at midnight which was unfortunate because it used to be 2am. All you could bowl for 4 people for an hour was 110! For one hour! Could not get discount even though it was for an hour and we could maybe play 2 games max. The whole time we tried to bowl the lane kept going down, played a game and a half and they started cleaning up and we had to stop. Biggest waste of money, miss what this place used to be.
Bowling with my family and they can't provide a table for our lane. They have plenty of empty ones sitting around but since our family is part of a larger group (despite us being the only ones on our lane), we can't use one (even offered to move one there and back). Apparently we're supposed to stand for the entire 2 hr bowling time!
Attending a work gathering to bowl as a team. Nice presentation of food and stuff was friendly and attentive.
I have frequented this place for years, but haven't been here since the summer, then come back and it's completely different (not for the better). I had a party of two people and we ended up paying close to $80 for 3 games. They not only hiked the prices up to ridiculous amounts but also made us pay at the end and didn't tell us the true price options available. It used to be pay upfront for about $25 for the entire night, and this was just last summer! This place was always packed with business and I was w
Friendly staff and a great place for the seniors tournament.
Berks Lanes is my favorite out of all the bowling alleys we go to. The employees are wonderful and the food is great. Lanes are maintained really well and there is always a fun event going on.
Very sad Bowlero made them remove the pool tables when they took over.
Ever since this place got bought out by a big corporate it's been downhill. Their prices jumped up dramatically. We made a reservation online and got charged $180 for 2.5 hours of bowling. With 4 people we only got through 2 games and 3 frames into the 3rd one. Pricing is ridiculous, but they try to make it better by giving you an arcade card ?????.
I will start off by saying every place is understaffed and I completely understand. But I paid $200+ for 5 of us to bowl. That gave us food and drink vouchers. We were having fun but our lane was stuck for easily 25 minutes. No refunded time. No apology. The staff were nice for the most part. But when the floor manager came out to ask about our experience and hand us arcade cards as a ?thank you for coming ? he rushed the whole conversation and didn't just pushed off our complaints, the proceeded to walk of
The place was bright, clean and well-run. Food was good and fairly priced. My only complaint would be that as someone who uses the arrows on the lane to gauge where to roll the ball, all of the bright lights, from the tvs, along with the shine on the lanes, caused such a glare, it was impossible to see the arrows on the lane.
We came here for a team meeting for our department at work and had a great time. Really good food for a bowling alley, also.
This, ladies and gentlemen, is what happens when corporate fat cat greed encroaches on small town America. This bowling alley used to be locally owned and operated, providing a simple entertaining experience for the blue collar people of Berks county. No, it was never special or fancy but it was fun and reasonably priced. So this company from Manhattan - now Bowlero but formerly Strike Holdings which originally popularized the concept of high-end, upscale bowling that caters more to casual bowlers and spec
Wow! We had so much fun here and the food was way better than we anticipated. The alley sampler slaps!! Only 4 stars because the game room was uncomfortably warm.
Clean and well kept place. Lots of league activity so call ahead for a lane if you are a casual bowler.
Great scam they have going. First, they have an event coordinator handling parties. Then it used to be you paid for the number of people who bowled. Now you pay for everyone who attends, even if they don't bowl. Same amount of food, but now you're charged per person. No extra food or anything. Would have been nice to have been told this upfront. Typical Berks Lanes.
came here with my family used to come all the time. they lady at the front desk was incredibly rude and vague about pricing. waited 35 minutes for one pizza and it was cold. for 200$ we will go somewhere else next time!
We had our daughters 11th birthday party there tonight. It was way over priced, but the worst part about it was that the service was horrible and the employees were extremely frustrating to deal with. This was supposed to be a ?glow party?, but the manager did not want to turn the lights off/on because the bowling league started at 6, which is why we had our party at 430-630, and literally she eventually turned them on for 20 minutes. The waitress came over every 20 minutes to give us an update on how much
Friendly and helpful bowling staff. Great service from the bar with fare prices. Food was good, can't comment on food prices as I was a guest in a party, so food was already paid for. Lanes were well cared for and LOTS of them. There are two sections for the lanes. One side of building was well lighted. The other side was in the darker, party lighting theme. Their rental shoes were in the best condition I have ever seen for a bowling alley! To be fare I only bowl about two times a year. This was all from 2p
Update your sign please**** Their sign says Billards but where are the pool tables? Wasted time driving here to find out theres no pool table. This place was amazing growing up but taking away their pool tables to expand the arcade was probably the worse thing they could've done. Sadly Hiesters lane knows what they're doing compared to Berks.. smh And I won't even get started on the pricing......
I want answers we came here to bowl tonight 11/20/24 and told there systems are down we can't bowl ! Never heard this before and I definitely want to be contacted by higher ups that are not employed in the location !
Never going back there again, and when did bowling become so expensive? ?I heard the guy say something about $9.95.? I thought he was talking about, ?per game? not per game/ per person. The one person was 3 years old. I ended up spending almost $100. To play two games. The food and drinks, $200. For a 1 1/2hrs I can go somewhere else for $200. All day and have a blast!! Never, ever go back
Bowling is very expensive these days, no discount for any age group, even 1 year of age. With that in mind, even during renovations, Berks lanes was clean, fast, and friendly, and we had zero lane issues while bowling.
ONE guy was running the Whole place! Took forever for him to do bumper guards & all he had to do was at a Computer. He was also doing the food. Unbelievable. It was Way more expensive then I thought & then the arcade. O M G! Need a Card & then they charge $3 for a CARD! I thought that was Crazy & kid was Upset because I wouldn't PAY for all that. Bowling was fine.
A lot of fun, was not expecting glow bowling on a Sunday afternoon and the arcade is pretty decent as well.
I docked a star due to mold issues on the ceiling above our lane, but other than that, we had a great experience here for New Years Eve. The bowling was fun, the fun extras like glow sticks and hats were a fun surprise, and the food was honestly quite good. The staff deserves a special shout out because each and every person was amazing. Friendly and unbelievably efficient is how I would describe the service last night. Whoever runs this establishment should run a master class on event planning!
Great place for teens to have a birthday party. Bowling, food, and games were great.
The prices to bowl are insane, Berks Lanes used to be a reasonable priced fun place to go......$35 per person to bowl makes this not family friendly anymore. It stinks because we have been coming here since we were kids.
Absolutely terrible new ownership! Such a disgrace. I've been going here for years, and the new owners are destroying something that was once a very popular hangout. The bar has since been modified and NO ONE AND I MEAN NO ONE will even drink or sit in any longer. Numerous bartenders and staff have left as well as management as soon as it was taken over. All the food is overpriced and terrible. Bowling fees for open bowlers is outrageous. Average family can't afford two hours of bowling? Very upsetting. You
went for glow bowl, great deal that includes pool games and $1 pizza slices. lots of fun.
If I could give negative stars I would. The priced were ridiculous. We bowled 3 games and had food and drinks. The bill came for the food and was $120. We got to the counter to pay for the lane and the bill it was $260. Are yall crazy? We will not be bowling again in Berks County since I was told the owner bought all of the alleys. Absolutely ridiculous. Greed like this should not be rewarded! Sorry but I will be taking my money elsewhere!!
Good fun for my wife and I when nothing else is going on in town. I think it's great that you got back about my review. We go to the bar when you have a DJ. We would love if there were a dance floor when you have a DJ. And you know we always have a great night when we come in. always fun. we love Mike when he is DJ. for that yes I can give you a 5 star.
Before the transition to ?Bowlero?, the prices were very fair. Made for a great family experience. Loved taking my children bowling and would grab food from the snack bar. When visiting last evening, I just couldn't believe the prices and the snack bar prices!! Absolutely insane! You can't get a single item for less than $7! No more pretzels with cheese at a decent price (my children?s favorite). $8 for mozzarella sticks?!? Same goes for drinks too as well. My brother ordered a strawberry lemonade?..for $5?
Bar staff is nice, which is almost the limit I can say. New ownership closed the side down regulars went, and removed every pool table in the building. The new arcade is needlessly inflated with no decent games: even selecting the worse of retro. Prices for mixed drinks are double other places. Dorney Park food and drink is cheaper! We were going to bowl, but the prices were too high: which they get away with because it stays packed. They'll likely (hopefully) see a decline in business, until they wake u
We used to bowl here several days a week. I remember when Berks Lanes used to have a special almost every day of the week, for cheap! Now, you can't even bowl a game for less than $6.95. After the takeover, they shockingly still have the Sunday morning special (that's the only good thing). It's upsetting because I would love to come several days a week to practice, but it's just too expensive. As I've seen, the food prices skyrocketed as well! I hope a lot of other people take notice to this and not give th
I was at the restaurant and did not bowl. Why 2 stars? They allow smoking at the bar. This may be a personal 2 where others may not mind. The food was good. We sat in a room beyond the bar where other families also ate. That was no smoking. The persons who work there were all kind, professional and extremely considerate. The service was superb.
I only visit Berk's Lanes to participate in bowling tournaments. Since the transition from local ownership to Bowlero corporate ownership a barrier between the competitive (league / tournament) bowler has been created. The reason for this is that the personal relationship between management and the bowler is "mechanized"... Bowlero is a large corporation who has systemitized the pricing and management of the business is the pursuit of shareholder returns... Ultimately the casual bowler is more profitable
Corporate greed. Old Berks Lanes was better and cheaper. Now you are paying three times the price for the exact same experience you could have had a year ago, and they didn't even make it a Bowlero they just slapped paint on the walls. You are paying 3x the price for the exact same thing with the same issues, bowling is bowling. Just a new coat of paint on the walls polishing an old pig. Had multiple issues with the bowling machines with my brothers. It is mid construction so it is plywood everywhere. Sta
Never again. Booked and paid through the website for convenience. Selected 3 games for 4 people $112. Lane shut off at 3rd frame of 3rd game because it hit a 1.5 hr time limit. Had I paid at the lanes they charge per game. Through the website it's sets a time limit and apparently ?they can't do anything.? Ridiculous to have different policies. Not to mention you pay some ?Event Fee.? Whatever the hell that is.
We had a ton of fun, but I wasn't expecting everything to be ridiculously expensive. We could only afford 2 games for 4 adults and that came to about $80 and then there was food too. It was too much.
My daughter went to a birthday party here. She had lots of fun. Very clean and friendly environment. Food service area seemed clean. Overall, I'd say this would be a great place to bring your kids.
A great place for bowling. Berks Lanes offers many youth mentoring and championship programs. Unfortunately, the coaches are hard to get rid of and they will try and talk to you OUTSIDE of bowling. As of now, they are mostly full on Saturdays, Sundays, and incredibly full on Mondays. Decent food, unless you order from the bar. A great place for a birthday party, and a good place to start. UPDATE: prices are now absolutely outrageous. do not recommend coming here anymore.
Bowling was very fun. They have "glow" lanes, which are really cool. Half of their arcade games were out of order when we were there. The food and drink are on the pricey side, but the quality is decent.
Berks Lanes used to be the best place to bowl but now that Bowlero has inflated all of the prices, it is no longer affordable for a family. $83 on a Sunday afternoon for 4 bowlers and 3 shoe rentals is a bit ridiculous.
Love, love, love this bowling alley/pool hall/sports bar/arcade. Leagues for all skill levels, pool tables are well kept. Staff at location are very very friendly and super helpful. Plenty of food to choose from on their menu. They deliver food and drink to your alley. Arcade is superb for the little ones. Enormous bar area. Always a great place for all ages!
Edit: Updated review, this place really went downhill, a lot of the lanes had dry lanes so bowling properly was near impossible. It was like the house balls had a better time then the nice bowling balls. The approach is sticky and get nearly no slide at all, it seems they stopped taking care of the approach area. Also the prices shot up dramatically, to the point it's nearly $30 a person. Almost double from what it used be. The Pool tables were removed as well. The arcade on the bright side was revamped and
The place has had some renovations and looks great. But the food and drinks are overpriced.
Great place to have some fun. Prices were good, and it looked pretty decent. Midnight bowl here is awesome, and you can even rent a lane for 2 hours for $42.95 with up to 6 bowlers. Good deals and good service. If you are hungry after you bowl and do not want to eat there, like us, I suggest that you DO NOT GO TO TACO BELL on Berkshire Boulevard afterwards. Their manager is rude and arrogant.
Facility was clean and respectable. Food maybe a little on the pricey side but, still available. Been quite a few years since I've been there but, still a nice place.
Large place, lots of lanes. Wasn't crowded at all. Had good food at a fair-ish price. Good arcade. My only complaint is the chairs at the tables at the lanes were a little weird, but that's nitpicking. Highly recommend.
Service is usually slow, staff are very kind though! Bowlero has its uniqueness! Overall, fun atmosphere.
Planned to make a stop here for a bachelor party, but they wanted over $320 for 6 people on 2 lanes for 2 hours. Took our buisness elsewhere for a 5th of the cost. A major shame for the local bowling community to have Bowlero take over.
Nice lanes and good service
We were in town for a conference, and found Berks Lanes for something to do after training all day. They were very friendly and accommodating! The lanes were clean and well maintained. The pool room was also well maintained. We happened to be there on a Wednesday, where they have quarter games and shoe rentals special after 9pm, when the leagues finish.
Love this place. It was where my husband took me on our first date and now my workers meet up there to bowl and throw back a few whenever we get the chance.
Super packed on a Tuesday night. Awesome service, good food - this is what customer service is supposed to feel like. Good food, lots of patrons, awesome service, too! Thank you for an unexpected good time for this party of four!
It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.
Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.
Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.
Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.
Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.
Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.
Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.
No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
Arcade prize games are a thrilling highlight in 2025! Claw machines, skee-ball, and ticket-redemption games like basketball offer a rush of skill and chance, with rewards like plushies, toys, or electronics up for grabs. Modern machines feature vibrant lights, digital scoreboards, and responsive controls, amplifying the fun. The lively arcade atmosphere, with cheering crowds and buzzing energy, makes every win feel epic.
