Cool little spot for video games. An emphasis on fighting games and pinball, but there is a variety of probably 25 or 30 cabinets and pinball tables total, including NBA Jam, NFL Blitz 99, and skeeball. Large tap collection of craft beers, with two full-service bars (the arcade is attached to a pub with darts and a few sports game cabinets.) The staff was pleasant, prompt and easy to chat with. The drinks were reasonably priced, and most games are $0.50 per play. It was decently busy on a Friday night but s
Cool austere arcade and bar, super selection of beers on tap and a good collection of pinball and old arcade games. Fairly clean, and the bar next door is also affiliated with the beercade and has more games in it. Been to quite a few of these types of places and this is one of the better ones.
A good place to hangout with an old friend and play a couple of games, it probably is; a good place to get your all-time high score on games, it is not. I dismissed my first two clues that this might not be the best experience: First, I lost my very first quarter in Funhouse. Despite banging on the machine, and being observed by the bartender, no assistance was offered. Tried other slot and was fine. I lost 75? total. As a kid, I would have been super upset about this. As an adult, meh... Second, Ru
Had a great time with my sister - she came in from town from Hawaii. We ordered a few shots, a beer, and a soda, then played about $35 worth of games and spent $5 on stickers. Overall had an amazing night with the pin ball games and retro games, there was only one game that didn't end up working for me (forget which one) but every other one worked great! 10/10 recommend if you wanna have a chill fun time with some fun pinball games and others!
Fun venue for pinball and video games. Great tap beer rotations. Friendly and attentive staff. Special shout out to Matt. We really enjoy the pinball tournaments. The bar next door is great for soccer fans. It's easy to get beer from either side on the same tab. Smoker friendly. Parking is a challenge on weekend nights, but it's worth the effort.
I've always enjoyed visiting Beercade in Benson; it's a fantastic spot to relax. However, I had an unfortunate experience on January 26, 2025, at 6:50 PM that I feel compelled to share. I was quietly working on my laptop at the front bar with a food container and an empty non-alcoholic beer beside me. Earlier, I had tried to dispose of these items myself but couldn't locate a trash can anywhere. Without any request or prompting from me, the bartender on duty?a woman working at the front bar with black shor
Love the concept! Didn't love that 1/3 of the games needed repair and took my money but only half worked... so pretty much takes your money. If machines worked properly I'd be a regular customer.
Loud music, moody setting, and a wide variety of drinks and games to play. Felt a bit rushed when ordering, but I got a shot of vodka and a strawberry rhubarb stout. Shot of vodka didn't even make me pucker ?? and the stout was phenomenal. The games were fun! The patio seating was so tortured, so poetic, so fun. Women?s bathroom had a surprise in the big stall! Definitely a summer spot!
So much fun! My husband and I took one of our boys (13), and it was awesome! Drinks are cheap, games are not expensive, we were there a bit over an hour and spent less than $20 on games and about $6 on drinks (1 alcoholic drink and 2 non alcohol drinks). Super fun!
This is such a great spot, had so much fun hanging out here when all the power was out getting a no locals who had nothing better to do on the weekend. Happy hours great because they give you free quarters to keep you busy, but the patio next door really takes this place the next level.
Popular fun bar and game arcade. A variety of craft beers at their two bars. And many gaming machines, pinball and video. Sit at the bars or in large booths. Park on the street. Clean restrooms. Wifi available.
I threw a surprise 30th for my husband in their party space downstairs and it was the absolute best space I could have chosen! The area was the perfect size for our 40-50 guests and there was something fun for everyone. Our bartender for the event Bria(sp?) was amazing as well! It makes party planning super easy when it's already such a cool space and booking/communication along the way was super easy with Rich. 10/10 recommend having an event here, worth every penny!
A great place to meat with friends. A wide selection of old school arcade games to play, down stairs offers unlimited play vs up stairs where you play by paying per game. There are machines available to change your bills to quarters to play. A wide selection of beers are available from generics to IPAs a great place to hang.
We came from out of town, deciding this would be a great place to recharge before finishing our trip. Unfortunately, all the pinball machines were reserved for a tournament. It's too bad they can't list that stuff on their website. Very disappointed. Also, the bathrooms seem sexist to me.
My favorite bar in Benson. Arcade games and beer, a perfect combination. On Fridays and Saturdays they open up the basement, leading you to more games. They often change them up so you never really know what you're going to get to play. Staff is super nice!
Always a fun place with a bunch of games and really good drinks. Family friendly in the early afternoon too!
Love this place. Retro video games and beer. What more can you ask for? Stop by and check it out! Fun for all.
Really fun place with lots of arcade games to choose from. The beers on tab are super interesting with many choices of different flavors.
Friendly bartenders, knowledgeable about their solid selection of local and national craft beers. Fun games evoke a sense of nostalgia and friendly competition. They always have a good vibe and a good grouping of Pinball Machines ready to play. Love the mixed group that comes together to enjoy these games.
Pretty sweet spot, bartender was super cool. Had a work function in the basement. Crew had a banging time.
Great modern spot with a nice selection of pinball and arcade games. Wasnt overly crowded when I visited so it felt roomy and the girl behind the bar was very friendly. Just a cool fun place. If I lived here I'd frequent the spot.
Enjoyed playing the retro games and the atmosphere. The many choices of beer is a great twist on Adult Night Life.
It's a fun place to go have a drink and play some pinball. Staff was polite. We will most certainly be going back. I enjoy the games and reminiscing about the 80's when Arcades were the social hot spots.
Lots of fun and drinks are good, priced well
Great place for a good beer and to have a great time playing old fashion arcade games. 50 cent for most games and $6 average for beer.
Great spot. Fun games and good beer!
If you're having a party, the lower level is a great place to rent out! It's intimate, but there are still plenty of games to play (without having to worry about quarters).
Love beercade! Crowded on weekends, but during the week if you're wanting to play a certain game, chances are much better! Friendly staff and great atmosphere!
Was with a group for an event in the back game room. Nice enough place. Staff were exceptional. My only complaint is that it's so noisy from just conversations. Seems like there is nothing to deaden sound, almost an echo chamber. Hard to chat with friends. But not a huge deal, still enjoyed the visit.
I love this place. Beer prices are good and the bartenders are friendly. As for games, they have a good selection and even on busy nights is not hard to find an open game.
I hosted a work event here in the party room downstairs, and they made the whole process so easy and seamless. Nicole was our bartender and was fabulous. My guests had a great time. Highly recommend!
Here for our company Xmas party. We had the basement rented out. Beer and games. How can it be any better! Staff is friendly and did great with our drinks. Sad we had to leave.
Great place, wish i lived closer! The parking in the area can be kinda tricky on a busy night but overall not terrible. I love that a place like this exists, so many classic games!
Love this place! So much fun and a great way to spend our Anniversary
Fun, inexpensive entertainment!! The drinks were cheap and the bartenders were nice and great at making drinks.
Five dollars for a 12 ounce beer. That price is not my cup of tea and put a bad taste in my mouth. That said, the arcade games were okay and nostalgiac. Area 51 2nd player was broken and we put a few dollars in that went to waste. You could only reload after a few checkpoints and not fire. The place was clean including the restrooms. It was okay for my first and last time. Check it out and never visit again.
It was alright. Had to get parking over 5 blocks away at a different business entirely, and I couldn't find one of the arcade games that I was looking forward to, but it was still fun. Do not trust the crane game though, it doesn't pay out, and the prizes are too big for the claw to begin with.
I love it here! Pinball is my game and they have plenty of different ones to play and people are super cool if you want to play a machine . Bartenders a chill. The best part is I can take my Mabel girl (service dog) in with me and people are super respectful and she loves the love ????????
I had fun here. It's a dark little spot, with only a few seats. They mostly have pinball, and a few other old school arcade games. They did have 2 ski ball machines, which I totally loved. The games worked. I mean, it's not a "new" arcade at all, but it was fun. We went just two adults, I wouldn't bring my kids. The beer was worthy too, they had a huge selection.
We come here at least once a week. The selection in games is great. Though, a bit sad they got rid of Tekken. But still, this is our go-to place and the fact that they added an accessible ramp to get to the patio is amazing. Great bartenders and chill crowd on a Saturday afternoon.
This is a fun place to have a birthday party for your kids! Plenty of different arcade games for everyone to play! The staff was friendly and helpful!
We went here on a date night to try something new. It was a ton of fun! The games are super cheap and the beer selection is off the charts! Thr place was clean, the staff was friendly and knowledgeable about their drafts. I recommend this place to anyone who loves pinball and beer. We will be back for sure!
Super cool place for a fun night out! The games are classic, the music playing when we went was bopping, and drinks were tasty. We went on a Saturday night and it was pretty busy, but not overwhelming. Overall an exciting environment that will make you feel happy.
Perhaps on another night I would have enjoyed it more. Staff was friendly, the beer choice was good, the games were pretty good and were priced right. The seating was way too limited, the place was excessively loud and the patrons were pretty rude... between getting nearly knocked over by a hipster's giant backpack, having to find a way around groups who were having discussions in the limited space in which to maneuver, etc. I probably would try it again when it was not at a peak time. We ended up leaving a
Don't go if you are a female that's good at video games!! The games are fun the drinks are good but the staff at the door are terrible. I got kicked out last night (my first time going) for being drunk. However I fail to see how. I drank I played like everyone else. I am loud generally and more so when drinking I get that but I wasn't yelling profanity or negativity in any way. I actually bought shots for a birthday girl just having fun. I won several matches against strangers (all male) and then I got boot
Love how much pinball they have! We had a lot of fun coming here and meeting new people. We're not from Omaha only visiting and loved this spot! Very fun and good drinks. Lots of seating areas and lots of good games.
Fun place with good selection of games and beer, but I don't fit the crowd. Not only here, the whole Benson strip area seems to be a very "I'm better than you" hipster activist vibe to me. Get many snarky looks and responses. To each their own, if you don't mind the people this place is very cool.
The company I work for rented the basement party room and we had an awesome time. There's a great selection of game, so everybody was able to play a little bit of something. I don't drink, so I can't speak as to the level of service or the quality of the drinks, though they didn't pour me a very nice glass of water.
Great selection of drinks and fun games, plus really knowledgeable staff! Get there before 7pm and you get $1.00 in quarters with every draft beer. It gets a little crowded on the weekend, but they make up for it by opening a second bar in the basement with free games (with a small cover).
Great time took my son e payed a few of those classic arcade games had a lot of fun even won a toy???? next we try the food!??
Okay so tried several games here. A lot of the cabinets are very old, which to a certain extent is to be expected, but that means you gotta put money into maintaining them. A lot of them have at least one button that doesn't work, I played on one with a joystick that only let me move forward, granted the person I was with thought that was funny. Two of them I couldn't even get coins all the way in so we could play together. Was probably there for less than half an hour but even that was too long. I cannot s
Great place to go and play classic video games. Beer is good too, a wide selection of on tap beers. Also a good place to host a company outing, we have used the basement for our team outing a couple of times and it serves us well. Also offers great team bonding over beers and games.
What a great place to hang out with your friends. The drink selection is fine and the selection of games is fantastic. I beat House of the Dead 2 twenty years after I started when I never expected to play it again. It can get a little warm in the bar, but that's a minor problem.
LOVE THIS PLACE!!! Great beer selection & all the old school arcade games, what more can one want!! My beer came with 4 quarters which went quickly into Mortal Kombat & Pac Mac! The place was clean and warm! Bathrooms were done with Link and Zelda tiling and clean. Would highly recommend for small or large crowds.
Fun! Lots of games to play. I personally enjoyed the pinball machines. It didn't have a lot of areas to just sit. I know we should be there for the games, but in between while waiting for a particular game you are interested in, it would be nice to sit rather than stand. The basement price for unlimited games was awesome! Got my money's worth, but I like pinball. If I were another gamer, I would have felt the choices to be more like your B rated games and not as much selection. Still, it was worth it.
The best drinks video games lovely establishment and amazing vibes
Video games + Alcohol = a good time. Beercade is an experience! They have glacial till on tap and the bar tender is great at suggesting drinks if you're looking to try something new. If you go on a Friday they open up the down stairs and for a small charge you can play as many games as you want. It's a really good deal. Highly recommend and will probably go again.
This was one of the best beer arcades I have ever been to. My group stopped here on a visit omaha trip. We love the space to move around with out running into people. The staff was great they all seemed to care about your experience. They also have a lot of games that were great to play and the did a good job of having group games so you could play with friends. Overall we spent 3 plus hours there on accident. We just had so much fun time was not even noticed.
Love going in here either taking my son in to play games before their time cut off for little ones or to go out for a great time.. I love their old school games they have and some new ones as well. I have not went down stairs yet but will eventually. This is a nice spot to come and talk and buy a couple drinks and play some games.
What a great place to unwind and play some old school video games and enjoy some nice drinks. Kid friendly before 9 pm so don't be afraid to take your kids and let them experience some old school games.
It's beer and arcade games, what more could you possibly ask for? They have an insane collection on tap, super comfy t-shirts to buy, weekly pinball tourneys and an even greater selection of cabinets downstairs. Happy hour, they give you a dollar back in quarters! It's just plain fun in there.
Very unprofessional, rude and bigoted staff on some delusional ego trip. My husband and I came in for a fun date night time spent playing old school arcade games and drinking beer. I understand they have printed very clearly at the front, no minors after 7 pm. After arriving, we went to the bar to order some beers and to my dismay realized that I forgot my ID at home. Mind you, I am a middle-aged old woman. We decided we had to forego drinks and went to play some games. We got a bunch of change and started
A fun little place. They have an excellent beer selection, including a handful of local beers. Nearly all (if not completely all) of the beers are craft brews. The arcade video games veered towards nostalgia, with most of them being 20-30 years old. Most do seem to work well enough, though. Happy hour gets you a dollar back with your drink, in the form of quarters.
The games are great, the music is great, the beer selection is not bad. I do like some lighter beers and they don't really have what I usually drink however they do have big variety! One big problem for me is that my debit card never works here. Asked my bank and it has to with the store's card readers. I never experience this at any other business, but for some reason my card gets declined there everytime. But the place itself is lively and a great atmosphere!
Great selection of craft beer and classic arcade games. Play a game of ski ball without spilling a beer, or challenge your friend to Street Fighter and smash away on some buttons to get that energy out. Lots of tables and bar space if you just wanna have some good beer with friends as well.
This place is amazing. Fun games, good prices, friendly staff, super clean and the patrons are friendly. Theres never drama here. I love the back smoking area, nice to have heaters back there when it's cold. The art in the women's room is gorgeously done.
Decent bar, good prices and fun games to play. Good selections and the bartenders were fun. Great way ti start off beer week in Omaha. The weather kind of made it rough but not a bad start overall. Great place to start and go around rhe area. They have a good selection of local beers.
I'm gonna get right to the point and talk about the fact that my 9 year old child and I have a deep bond over Mario Bros that Beercade fosters like a fun uncle. The pride I carry for his accomplishments there is huge. The fact that you can have a beer while beaming over all your 80?s kid dreams unfolding right in front of you is just too much to handle. Is there a tear in my beer? Yes, yes there is. Beercade is the ultimate coin catching ride in the clouds you've always dreamed of. Pop in for an adult beve
Great beer selection! Lots of fun older arcade games to play. They only have two ski ball machines though :-( it was a Saturday night and busy, so that was a minus but people in Nebraska are nice, act like adults and take turns. :-)
Love this bar, came here for the night fir brothers bacholer party and had a absolute blast the free games downstairs are were its at. Their craft beer list is fantastic and the best man kept getting the Moscow Mules. Great bar always recommended it to anyone new in town
I needed a place to kill time before a music show at The Waiting Room. So glad I found this place! Huge beer selection, very reasonably priced, friendly staff, and a good atmosphere. On happy hour (open to 7, M-F) you get 4 quarters back on your tap beer purchase. Best of all, the games are SUPER reasonably priced. Many of them are just 25 cents. Highly recommended!
Great place to geek out, drink an awesome selection of beers (and of course the root beer) on tap, and play old school archade games. The basement opens up around 9pm to play any game for unlimited time with a fee at the entrance which is a pretty good deal if you're going to play the games. Limited seating, though.
The name says it all. This place is a ton of fun! They have an amazing beer selection between taps and bottles. It is a popular place just to hang out and drink but if you want to bring out your inner child, this is the place to go. They have a ton of classic arcade options including video games, pinball, ski-ball (skee-ball?), and many more I can't remember. It's definitely worth a stop if you're in Omaha, but a must if you are already in Benson.
Was a great place for the family to gather and play games after a special event. Everyone seemed very friendly. Definitely love being able to play pinball with my dad! I'd never been before and now I feel like I want to go back just to play and enjoy company with people.
Hey it's an arcade that serves beer. With a large selection of on tap beers and even more available in cans the hipster in you can go wild. The full size arcade games and vintage pinball tables will bring out the kid in you and you can challenge your friends prove their mettle if they're going to brag about high scores they can never prove. Come early if you want to avoid the crowd and hit up the basement on the weekends if you like free games.
I've been going to this bar whenever I go out. Love the games and the staff is cool. The only thing that got me worried when I went yesterday is that the drink cups seems to be getting smaller and smaller. I had 2 drinks and a beer, which the drinks were served in the smallest cups I've ever seen drinks in, and obviously, full of ice and full price. Will definitely be looking for other options.
Super fun bar! Excellent variety of tap beers, knowledgeable beer aficionado staff. Oh, and don't forget, the whole place has some the best arcade games going back some 30+ years. You will enjoy!
Good drinks, great pinball!
Beercade has a refreshing atmosphere that few can replicate. It's rare that a place has such an endless array of fun games and amazing staff. An unforgettable combination and experience that few have matched in the region. Take a trip to the basement for a $3 unlimited play. Dozens of games and pinball games. A classic bar in a classic part of town and I hope it stays open forever
I loved this place! Great beer selection and all the cheap old arcade games I played as a kid. All the games I played were 25 cents a play. It was great for a grown up kid like me! And in the basement you can pay a cover charge of a few bucks to play the games for free. They aren't the most popular games but it's fun trying new things. And they had a Wii with Mario Kart on a projecter that groups were playing. I'll bring friends here again for sure.
Great place for family. Kids under 18 can play until 7pm. Extensive beer selection. Tons of nostalgia with the classic video games and pinball. Awesome, check it out!
Super fun happy hour. Played pinball and got some drinks with bae. Great atmosphere.
One of my favorite bars here, just because of the free play alone. They have variety on arcade and pinball plus skeeball. I went there with a date and had a blast, but also saw some families there as well. Didn't try their food but their selection of microbreweries is stellar.
Amazing selection of games, beer, and liquor in that order. I think that the games are the most important at a place like beercade and it doesn't disappoint. The beer is awesome and always rotating. There is also lots of liquor to choose from. Go on a weekday night to avoid the crowds - or go on the weekend to meet new people. I have always loved the beercade and have been going since it opened.
Fantastic place to have a few drinks with some friends and play some old retro games. Highly recommend going downstairs for the other games, worth the upfront charge for unlimited gameplay. Drinks here are also on point and aren't watered down like many of the places nearby.
I miss going here, since it has a good selection of games between the main floor, and the basement with a bar on each floor. Nice row of pinball machines. A little packed Saturday?s, but at least you can still get a drink.
Staff are polite and helpful. Also there are some really fun games and they swap them out every once in a while so you're not playing the same stuff all the time. I would highly recommend coming here whether for a drink or for the arcade games.
Look, this is going to be the place you start going to when you first turn 21 and when you're getting up in Benson. It's a landmark, has great beer, and the video games are great. But it's busy. Really, really busy. Unless you're wanting to go on the weekdays, it's going to be a wait for drinks and the games. You'll like it, but so will everyone else.
It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.
Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.
Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.
Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.
Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.
Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.
Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.
No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
Yes, pinball tables in arcades remain a blast. Their hands-on, skill-driven gameplay delivers a thrill digital games can’t match, blending nostalgia with modern flair. Newer tables from Stern and Jersey Jack feature LCD screens and themes like Avengers or Stranger Things, keeping things exciting. Arcades are seeing a pinball resurgence with vibrant scenes and tournaments like IFPA events drawing crowds. Though less common than video games, pinball’s tactile charm and community vibe make it a standout arcade experience in 2025.
Absolutely, retro games in arcades remain a thrilling draw in 2025! Classics like Pac-Man, Space Invaders, and Street Fighter II offer simple yet addictive gameplay, blending nostalgia with timeless challenge. Modern arcade cabinets often feature crisp displays and restored controls, enhancing the experience. These games thrive on quick reflexes and strategy, with vibrant pixel art and iconic soundtracks that spark joy. Arcades host tournaments and leaderboards, fostering a lively community. While modern games dominate, retro titles provide a unique, accessible thrill that keeps arcades buzzing.
