Customer Reviews

We celebrated our daughter's seventh birthday here, last month. Planning a birthday party here is as easy as it gets. The owner is very pleasant. They had two tables, and two bowling lanes, set up for us, in the corner, which was perfect. We brought cupcakes, pizza, snack bags, and a cooler full of juice boxes, etc. All the kids had a great time !!! The staff was amazing, and very helpful, even though it was the weekend, and multiple birthday parties were going on. We will definitely be coming here again !

I am a member of 2 leagues there. The lane conditions have deteriorated rapidly over the last several months. There are chipped boards on the lanes, the first parts of each lane are extremely pock marked and worn out, there is minimal pin action off of the sideboards and the floors by the scoring computers are always dirty with sand and dust. This bowling alley is still great and has the potential to be something even greater. I hope there are future plans in the works to improve it!

I had an ABSOLUTE blast here the other night. It was my first time and I will be returning! Ty and Lori(I apologize if the spelling is wrong) were exceptional and made the night even better. Also it was so clean!

I go bowling here a lot. I really like the experience, but the ball does curve A LOT but they just got done with renovations and the new lanes look AMAZING

Great place for a small birthday party, allows you to bring your own food and drinks! Although very busy the staff did great keeping up with everything! The price is very reasonable!

It I could give no stars today I would. Not because of the mess up with scheduling, your website was not clear enough when I booked. But I have had multiple parties here and the woman working was just plan RUDE! I called on the 10th of February to book and was told to do so online ok, I must of messed up doing it and that's on me, I called 6 times this morning and after no one answering I got a text from the number and I deliberately asked if I booked a BIRTHDAY PARTY. I was told all set..... Instead of com

Okay so we have taken our young children here multiple times and I think they offer a great price for bowling and it's usually not crowded. The arcade is okay a little expensive to play games but overall the kids enjoyed themselves. ??

Pierce, is the absolute man. Going well above and beyond what would be considered attentive, he truly made my children feel comfortable and excited about bowling at this location!

Bayberry Bowling is a great place. It's a bit outdated, however there are bowling lanes, pool tables and a small arcade all for reasonable prices. This is a great place for the family or a date night without breaking the bank.

I attended a friend?s child?s birthday party. The space, lights, and physical bowling alley was great. The restroom was very clean. However, one of the employees was extremely rude. I asked for two adult beverages and the girl at the counter said I can't help you?but she can. The other young woman said ?yeah I can get ?em??well I awkwardly stood at the counter for almost 15 minutes. She proceeded to ignore me and call someone on her cellphone. After being beyond frustrated, I walked away and told my husband

Love spending time with the family here. Great food and awesome atmosphere. Between the arcade, pool tables and bowling alley, there hours of fun available at a wicked reasonable price.

My family loves Bayberry bowling center! It's a fun atmosphere for the whole family. We recently had our children's birthdays there and we had a wonderful experience. All the kids had a great time bowling and playing all the arcade games. The staff exceeded our expectations and were so kind, helpful and great! I wish I could rate them 6 stars!

I've decided to learn how to shoot ??ball pool. So I go here to practice with friends. I think it's like $7 per hr pool tables, $2 bottled waters ??, $5 bottled beers ?? I haven't bowled yet; it's candlepin bowling. They also have some video games ?? too. Family-friendly.

I haven't been here in many years I'm talking 20yrs ago rocking bowl nights! We sure have been missing out, we visited tonight (Friday) and surprisingly it wasn't crazy busy but busy enough to keep the girl behind the counter working. I can't say enough nice things about her. She was kind, smiling, and friendly even when she was back and forth from one end of the counter to the other. She seemed to like her job and interacted with my 2 girls like she knew them. My 7 year old said she was the nicest lady sh

I love bowling. Automatic scoring ...lanes are in good shape. Everybody seemed nice.

We had a fun family night out Friday evening. Bowling was fun we danced alot. We also enjoyed the arcade. We will be back soon!

Junior is so nice to my kids everytime we go bowling at Bayberry. If something breaks, she fixes it without hesitation. She is a pleasure to see and great with kids! They love her! Howie

A fun retro place for candle pin bowling and an arcade , plus pool tables.

Worst bowling facility around. Went on June 30th, the day after my wedding, to have a great time with family. The lady/shrek behind the counter had absolutely disgusting behavior towards my crowd of people. We were the only people there at the time, and there was no reason for her to rush us through the process. You guys say it's a great family experience, but not one of the 12 people I had there had a great time. When we went to pay, they wouldn't even let us split the bill. Complete waste of money and suc

I use to come when I was a kid and loved this place... Today, I came for a kids birthday, the lady working was very rude. She gave lots of attitude, when someone asked where to put the trash bag at the end of the party, she walked by grabbed it out of the mans hands without saying a word. I understand having a bad day but fake it for the children. I will not be back. This is so disappointing.

Loved this place super friendly staff. They have a small arcade area 8 pool tables and bowling ?? they offer wine and beer. Fun for a date night or night out with the family

Very clean all over. The staff is very friendly and helpful. You do not have to sell the house to be able to let the kids play in the arcade. Will be going back again and again.

Jan 1st at 5pm ish our Family made a trip to Bayberry. We also had our 16 month old grandson. The gal behind the counter could not have been nicer to all of us. She even provided a toy for our grandson to play with. She was absolutely delightful. Well done and happy new year

This is what bowling should be. Our first time here and found friendly knowledgeable staff. We brought our grandson and had a blast. The prices were great. We enjoyed our afternoon and will be back often.

The kids and I loved it. I have an 8 Year old and a two-year-old and we all had A-blast. It is a lot of fun for everyone of all ages. We loved the little bowling balls. They were super easy for the kids and I to bowl with. One of the more important thing is that's the employees were nice especially the young lady named Destiny. Destiny is truly a sweetheart and you can tell that she loves her job. Destiny was very helpful throughout our whole experience even with her being super busy because of all the peo

A great day of Family fun. The grandkids loved it.

Went June 30th 2024 at 6 pm and The girl working behind the counter was extremely rude and unwelcoming. We had a large party of 12 people and were trying to figure out how we wanted to split the bowling lanes and she was SO rude! Asking us ?how is this complicated? and rolling her eyes when we made some adjustments to the lanes. Horrible customer service.

I recently had my twins 3rd birthday party there. The staff was kind and courteous. The owner Bernie helped me bring in a few of my party supplies since it was hard to bring things in with two toddlers. He also helped me and allowed me to put up a birthday banner on the wall. The staff were always willing to help and were attentive to my needs. I even left without paying and they kindly called me and spoke to me saying I forgot to to pay. Just a lovely experience and place overall. I love this place, even w

I went with my clients from work. And they had an amazing time. I went early hours but definitely for a quick hangout is good.

Poor customer service with a lot of attitude toward customers. I understand having a bad day, but walking into my 5 year old with a table and not even apologizing, is not alright on any level. I will never return to this place.

Nice place to play some pool and bowling. Prices are decent. Bowling was every other lane due to pandemic and was full. Wife and I had a kid at heart and played some arcade games. Busted out 20 bucks and started playing arcade games. Gave all the tickets and left over tokens to the kids. Was awesome all kids were polite. Nice place.

Let's be honest, there is not much to do in this town. Bayberry is a great place for families, children, and teenagers. Bowling is a past time that always brings people together. Good sized selection of video games and pool tables. They also have leagues for the adults.

We brought our son here yesterday for some bowling. Very kid friendly, very clean, and the staff are so kind! The arcade was an added bonus. Everything was reasonably priced, and we had a great time! Will definitely return soon!

My wife and I take the kids here frequently to play in the arcade. The machines are well used and are in a bit of disrepair but the staff is always very friendly (and patient). The kids always have a blast. We've bowled here quite a few times but just for fun. I wouldn't want to comment on the lanes, since I'm not a bowler. They seem okay to me though. Overall, it's a good time. Thumbs up.....

I went to a birthday party at a so called family environment the young lady working is so rude and unfriendly and made everyone at the party feel unwelcome and very uncomfortable. I definitely will not be back or recommend ?.

Our little one's birthday is in the winter so party options are limited. Thankfully bowling is indoors so we came to Bayberry for our girl's 5th birthday party. The staff was super attentive and kind. Allowed us some additional time to setup prior to our start time. They setup the lanes with everyone's name when we checked in. It was very well organized with bowling, followed by pizza/cake, and then the kids had a blast playing in the arcade. If you're looking for an easy and fun idea for your little one's

Brought my 3 boys here and we had a blast! Love the arcade on the way out too. Great for something to do when it's cold out!

We came here for a birthday party. 1 working behind the register, we had to wait quite awhile for her to put the bumper guards up. The kids had a great time bowling. Arcade area is small, got very crowded quickly and quite a few games weren't working or ate the tokens. Older kids enjoyed playing pool.

Just pure fun. Arcade, billiards, and of course a New England favorite, candlepin bowling. We went back tonight after a good 7 years and I felt right at home. I challenge you to just set aside an afternoon and go bowling. Bring friends, kids, whatever. Bernie is always there for a good conversation, too! I'll make it a point to be back frequently.

Very nice location to go have some fun.we attended a party for our grandson there. You can purchase beverages there or BRING your own along with the food.the arcade is reasonably priced for games. Most games are either 2 or 4 tokens. I would recommend purchasing the $ 20 offer. You get 100 tokens for that price ! Book your party for what ever occasion and yes if you just want to have a nice time going somewhere then just go bowling here !! ?? ?? ? ? ?? ??

Its dated inside, the color scheme that is. The chairs and computers are clean and maintained. I think they should do away with the drop ceiling tiles or change the color(s). I noticed the new carpet, looks good. Id like to see an more accessible refreshment bar and some better music and lights. Then it would update it.

MLK Day, kids are out of school, figured we go bowling. Arrived with a few lanes empty to only be told we couldn't bowl; senior league coming in. We let the kids play in the arcade since they were upset about not being able to bowl. Apparently this league comes in, takes up every available lane for three hours? While I understand that's a weekly thing, it would definitely be useful to have this posted on the website or FB page so that families aren't wasting a ride or getting their kids hopes up.

Great family time. Owner was very helpful and friendly. For a family of six for one game with shoe rental was only 41.00. We will be back for sure and we all had so much fun.

I haven't played candle pins for around 40 years and I had a great time.

Albeit going there since I'm a little kid, I'm shocked over spending a whole entire $25 gift certificate on a child bowling a meager 3 strings. I'm glad I didn't bowl, would have probably cost $50 or more! Edit to add 1/12/2020: I know how many strings my child bowled. He cannot handle more than 3 at a time. He did 3 strings. There were 2 young boys handling everything. They took my son's gift certificate and said "You're all good to go." I asked if we could have the difference back on the gift card, they

Fir sure best alley around. The lanes and balls are in great shape. The prices are so reasonable and the arcade is THE BEST lots of options and best part most of the games give out TONS of tickets and the kids love it. We frequent here a lot and will continue to do so. The owner is a great guy who even let us try his private bowling balls. They play music and have lights for the kids or a b day party. Def Def worth going you won't be dissapointed. Oh and they sell pizza and beer and have pool tables in the

An afternoon with the kids on vacation, this was the perfect place to go have fun. Bowling a few strings playing arcade and video games and shooting pool along with enjoying pizza was right up our Alley!! Highly recommend it ??

Very nice arcade and bowling center. The prices are great and it is not too busy so you can focus on your family and not have to worry - the arcade area is a little small and some of the machines are broken either they aren't on eat your tokens or don't have tickets , they mostly work my children and I had a blast

Candlepin bowling is fantastic family fun and Bayberry Bowling Center is the place to experience it! Friendly folks and a terrific clean place with 16 lanes, awesome pool tables and a cool arcade. They offer leagues for kids and adults as well as beer, wine and pizza! A terrific place to have your next party! Loved it!

Good pricing, serve beer :-) have rails for kids so they just like it as well. And this is not really bowling but skittles facility. Just to have right level of expectations. Given small and light balls it is not tiring and even 4yr kid can play.

If you like owners that discriminate against people on the spectrum this is the place for you! I come here with my autistic brother and his friend every Thursday. Only day we can all go out, this is my brothers favorite thing to do. Yet we are told to stop playing by a certain time or straight up denied because of League night. YET OTHET PEOPLE CAN STILL PLAY!!! (Who are not on the league) Again other people can still play! That is straight up discrimination! Don't waste your money here. Side note: don't us

Perfect night out for the family - they have pool, bowling and an arcade! They also have pizza and beer/wine/soda and everything is kept very clean. Staff is extremely friendly and the price is right for a fun night out. Definitely a must try if you are looking for something to do!

So much fun! My boyfriend and I came here spur the moment. We are from Florida and are used to playing kingpin . Here they have what they call candlepin. Our first time playing and we had a blast. I kicked his butt btw lol

So, this place is crazy old school. All candle pin bowling, pool, and video games. It's not the most up to date place, but man is it cheap. You really can't beat this joint for a kid's birthday party. Plus if any locals show up, it's like going in a time machine back to the nineties, frosted hair, stove washed jeans, it's awesome!

Great place to bring the kids for a few hours. They especially love the arcade. The staff are very helpful & friendly.

I normally love this place I go at least twice a month to play the arcade! Well tonight (9-24-17) my boyfriend and I went, we were enjoying the games there was a cute little kid running around! All of a sudden there was a group of teenagers playing pool and one of the kids freaked out and threw his pool stick across the pool room, with the little baby running around he ran threw the arcade and was screaming F*** and a lot of other swears. We looked past it as he was slamming games and punching the door, we

I have been going to bayberry lanes for many years and have always been impressed with the place. The staff is continually accommodating and the lanes and game room are great fun. They recently added a beer and wine menu which is really nice.

Been to multiple kids birthdays here. The candlepin lanes are reliable and they seem to cater to these parties. Also, the arcade is lots of fun

I don't have Facebook. We recently went there and my sister wiped the table with a wipe and it came out super dirty , also I took my son and daughter to the arcade part and most of them just took the tokens and there was no way to retrieve them. So that resulted me in having to get more tokens only for it to happen with other games as well.

It's nice quiet place Me and the family enjoy it every time We go there It has a bowling alley, a lot of pool tables, mini bar and small arcade The owner is so friendly and the worker are so nice We did couples of birthday party there

Great place to take the family. Plenty of candle pin bowling alleys and arcade with pool tables. Place offers light snacks and beverages. Staff is always helpful and prices are fair. Lots of leagues bowling..

Small ball bowling, arcade, and pool tables. They sell pizza and have vending machines as well. I believe wine and beer is available too. Family friendly place to go

Took the family here for some fun on a rainy day, and we had a great time!! Really enjoyed the candlepin bowling, air hockey, and billiards!

Phenomenal spot!! Open late, clean facility, and Destiny is the BEST! Truly made the experience 10x better. Will definitely be back.

Super fun for the kids. Wish they serve decent food. Would go more often if they did.

This place is great to play bowling and it is clean and the price are great the only thing I would say is the computer is outdated and a little bit confusing to do but overall place is awesome to play bowling and it is clean

We have been bringing our grandchildren here for several years, they have a great kids bowling league. This establishment is well maintained, very friendly atmosphere and fun for all ages.

Our sin has been to three birthday parties here. It's clean, lots of entertainment and the bowling lanes are good. Staff are helpful.

The Staff is attentive, courteous. My young granchildren, and friend always enjoy their time spent at Bayberry Bowling Center. Bowling and Arcade. We thank you.

Great for small kids...bumpers in the gutters... automatic scoring.... after bowling their is pool tables, various video games, ski ball....nice place to take the kids or a date...they also serve beer

We go for the bowling, pool tables and fun in the arcade. Tickets don't expire with big ticket prizes available a plus. Missing a star because the food menu is lacking.

I bowl there on three leagues, and find service and customer consideration very well applied. Also, admire health concerns and counter measures installed as we deal with Covid concerns.

Nice place to enjoy with the family ????

We went for a work event. This one guy was running the whole place by himself and managed to stay positive and helpful. Man deserves a raise for all he did.

Love the automated scoring. Kids and adults had a great time with bowling and the arcade. The employee was very friendly and helpful.

This is low-cost fun for all ages. The staff is friendly and the games are great.

Great family bowling and video games place for the kids. Price is very great!!

Cleanest bowling center I've been to in the area thats or sure... They have something for everyone, arcades, skee ball, pool, bowling and booze for the adults. We had a great time thanks. :)

It's not to expensive and is a super-fun time when you have a day off and are looking for someplace to take the family. The have an arcade as well as the bowling. Bumpers are available for the little ones. And it's candlepin!

Lotta fun, nice place, great people!

This place is great for the kids bowl free app.

Took the grandkids here for a string of bowling and a little arcade action. Pretty reasonable and uncrowded.Friendly stsff.

I love this place, so laidback and chill and it's super fun when you bowl with friends. It's an alll around great place to have a great time

Fun little family activity. Bowling and an arcade can take up a Saturday night and the kids will have a blast

Fun place to go with friends or family. Jeff the manager is friendly and a great person. Always welcomes us with open arms

Alot of the machines in the arcade part didnt work or didnt give tickets like they are supposed to, that really upset my kids especially if they got a high score

This bowling alley has been a fantastic place to go since I was a kid, they have so many different things to do there for everyone in my family, keep up the great work.

I love taking my kids here to play in the arcade. The staff is always friendly and helpful.

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s it like visiting an arcade today?

It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.

Is it better to go alone or with friends?

Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.

What should I bring to an arcade?

Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.

What’s the best time to visit an arcade?

Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.

Can I meet new people at arcades?

Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.

Are arcades still just for kids?

Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.

Are there events or tournaments I can join?

Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.

What if I’m not great at arcade games?

No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”

Are pool tables in arcades still good in this modern age?

Yes, pool tables in arcades remain a fantastic draw in 2025! Games like 8-ball or 9-ball offer tactile, skill-based fun that blends strategy and precision. Modern tables feature smooth felt, responsive cues, and vibrant designs, enhancing the classic experience. Arcades foster a social vibe with casual matches or competitive tournaments, appealing to all skill levels. Unlike digital games, pool’s physicality—lining up shots, feeling the cue’s weight—keeps it timeless.

Why are arcade prize games so exciting to play?

Arcade prize games are a thrilling highlight in 2025! Claw machines, skee-ball, and ticket-redemption games like basketball offer a rush of skill and chance, with rewards like plushies, toys, or electronics up for grabs. Modern machines feature vibrant lights, digital scoreboards, and responsive controls, amplifying the fun. The lively arcade atmosphere, with cheering crowds and buzzing energy, makes every win feel epic.
