Took the family here with some friends and their kids (all between 9-5). The spot is laid out great. Tons of old fashioned board games, regular games like bocce ball, skeeball, pool, arcade with classic games, power punch game, and more. They had 2 golf simulator bays, an area for playing Nintendo Wii, and much more I probably can't remember (maybe within all the pictures). They only disappointed because of the lack of menu options for the price. It was pretty expensive for basic drinks and a dozen wing
Great customer service, such a fun vibe and lots of yummy drink and snack options on the menu! Definitely will be returning!
The whole family went by on a whim, and I'm glad we did. The kids loved the games. Me and the Mrs. capitalized on the free time by enjoying the Bowser cocktail. The owner Don actually came over to the table, pretty cool guy. I believe that he used to model for GQ. Will try again.
Baxter?s Arcade in Southpointe is a fantastic spot for arcade lovers and casual gamers alike! The atmosphere is fun and nostalgic, with a great mix of classic and modern games. The staff is friendly, and the space is clean and well-maintained. Whether you're looking for a night out with friends or a fun family outing, Baxter?s Arcade is definitely worth a visit!
I recently stopped at Baxters R-Cade had an absolutely fantastic experience. The Wings were cooked to perfection, and the flavors were incredible. The chef, Matt was incredibly attentive and knowledgeable about his menu. The staff/Management is amazing here! 10/10 Definitely recommend!
I ordered a Surfside seltzer on Saturday night from the bartender with pink hair. She gave me one, but it was literally warm. When I let her know, her response was to just put it over ice. I would not recommend this place.
This was my first time here and I was very pleased with the service and vibes. I wasn't even planning on eating food but the wing menu looked so good especially because they were full size! You can't find full size wings anywhere around here - and I didn't even need ranch to dip them in. That's when you know they're good! Highly recommend ????
Three of us went here on two separate occasions, about a month after the place opened. The first was for dinner in the restaurant and the second was for drinks at the bar. The interior feels very disjointed and crowded in places. I had expected a better selection of arcade classics, but that was not to be found. Seemed a bit like a very small Dave & Busters. The menu was limited and unimaginative. On our sender's recommendation, we tried three diffreent flat breads. The food took over a half hour to arriv
Whole family went out after a long drive into town. Kids loved the arcade I liked the fact that it was smaller so I didn't have to worry about how far they were. Menu was pretty good for choices. The kids "Mocktails," are super cool but a little pricey for kid drinks. Should at least let people know soda is an option. Virtual golf is good, wish they had other equipment for other sports but, hey with time... maybe... if you don't play golf don't worry. The emulators are free wish I had known that... dar
Interesting concept but a little odd operationally. We weren't really sure what activities were available (free) and what required extra payment (didn't really see any obvious signage or pricing in the restaurant). After digging around on the website, we did find that bocce was around $10/person/hour, so it would have been $50 for our family of 5 to play a game. And shuffleboard is a flat rate per hour, didn't seem to matter how many were playing? Video game consoles also were priced by the hour it looks li
I've been quite a few times. I live in the area (local) and Baxters is a great option for all ages and activities. Zach the manager is amazingly accommodating, Matt the chef makes great food and adjusts his crayons based on personal needs (allergies, requests as needed) the activities are numerous for all ages the atmosphere is the same. Great Friday nights to relaxing Sundays or kids parties which don't interfere with a food Sunday drink or two. Food selections are great. Matt is a great chef and changes t
Enjoy a fun game night atmosphere at Baxter?s R-Cade. Golf, bocce ball, air hockey, and lots of arcade games. A family friendly arcade environment. They also have party packages available to book your next event.
Baxter?s Arcade in Southpointe is a hidden gem for gamers of all ages! With a great selection of arcade classics and newer favorites, it's the perfect place for some nostalgic fun. The atmosphere is lively, the staff is welcoming, and the games are well-maintained and a ton of fun!
Came in to try the wings. They actually have whole wings the hot garlic and garlic parm were great. My son enjoyed the arcade games I shot some pool excellent place to hangout.
Came in for a few rounds on the golf simulator, which was a blast! The wings were especially great with the garlic parm, and I loved that they were whole wings! Also can't forget to mention the arcade games! Mortal Kombat II was my favorite growing up. Will definitely be back with friends!
The flatbreads and buffalo chicken dip were great. The console gaming section is so cool with so many of the classics to enjoy from way back in the day. Kid friendly.
Decided to try out Baxter's R-Cade tonight with my girlfriend and her daughter. The service was not good, but they may have been short staffed. There were long waits, and only one of the three of us got actual silverware and an actual napkin. Food came out separately (5-10 minutes apart). We did the brisket nachos (average), caeser salad (good) and the thai chicken tacos (BAD). The chicken looked (and tasted) like it came out of a frozen bag and cooked in the microwave. I powered through one of the three be
Nice atmosphere and concept. Waiter was friendly, but service was slow. Looked like only 3 people working bar/dining. Extremely overpriced. Food is overpriced and average at best. Drink prices are what you would expect at a stadium. Will not be returning.
Such a great atmosphere! DELICIOUS food! Fast service. Bartenders are the best!! Definitely will be back and often!
Nick was an amazing server. We had more and more people show up as the evening went on and he just rolled with it and took care of us all.
We were rather disappointed with our experience. The menu seems to center around and highlight their various grilled cheese sandwiches. However, they were inexplicably out of bread and unable to provide any of those grilled cheese menu items. Given the already rather limited menu, that experience really put a damper on our visit. The remaining menu items seemed overpriced; however, I initially assumed this was to make up for what I expected were ?free? games. That was not the case as most of the games are a
The chef and the waiter were so accomodatijg for me and my friends. one had allergies and they handled it perfectly. highly reccommend!
The menu needs to expand. Wings, loaded fries, chicken fingers, better appetizers etc? the chicken on the flat bread was frozen and terrible. The staff is amazing. Keep working on it and this place will be a great hangout.
Baxter Arcade is a total blast! Great games, friendly staff, and a cool throwback vibe.
Food was awesome! Chef was able to come out and personally talk about my dietary restrictions. 10/10 service!
Spectacular wings, whole wings are very meaty and juicy. Flatbread was cheesy, kids loved it.
Took the kids yesterday (Sunday) and had a nice time. We wanted to avoid the big crowds so we could migrate around and soak it in. The staff was very friendly and helpful the entire time we were there. Good variety of gaming for kids and adults. We also booked a birthday party for December. Great job!
Like half of the arcade games are broken and, yes, it will still take your card points. Cool atmosphere though.
this place was outstanding wings delicious nachos was amazing servers outstanding such a friendly environment pretzels so good ??
verrry MID. You walk in and nine times out of ten you're awkwardly standing there to wait for a table then have your server leave you for a good 20 minutes before taking your order. The food isn't worth the price and the arcade is fun for about 2 visits. The best part is the console games.
zach was super cool. great server, good service. flatbreads were great
we were there on a friday night and it was packed. staff was super friendly, drinks were on point and the food is like a high-end shareables / bar food concept. nothing like it in pittsburgh that is for sure!
Wonderful place for the whole family. Kids enjoyed the games. Mom & Dad enjoyed the food, beverages and golf. Would highly recommend.
We gave it a shot. Many games did not work after taking our credits. Restaurant management cannot fix that because they hire a third party to maintain the games. The food was not good.
Had a lot of fun playing games here and really enjoyed their drinks! They have a really great cocktail menu
A fun family Sunday! Very kid friendly and fun for all ages
This generations arcade for all ages. Great customer service and great food
Love the whole wings nice and crispy and a great price
Limited menu: The food was good, though.
Apps and whole wings at trivia night were 10/10
Great addition to Southpointe Town Center! Great vibe! Awesome cocktails and great shareable foos items!
Baxter Arcade is a total blast! Great games, friendly staff, and a cool throwback vibe.
$12 high noons but it was a good vibe
Great atmosphere, friendly staff, food and drinks were great! Will definitely be back!
Great time with multiple games music and food
The whole wings were dynamite. Nobody has whole wings anymore ...
Place sucks, overpriced, terrible food, stay away!!!
Fun place! My fianc? and I enjoyed the flatbreads
Zach was a great waiter!
Service was non-existent. Extremely understaffed
Staff were wonderful and I love the flatbreads!
So much fun! Definitely recommended!
Great place to eat and drink!
Cool concept. Stupidly overpriced.
It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.
Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.
Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.
Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.
Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.
Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.
Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.
No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
Absolutely, retro games in arcades remain a thrilling draw in 2025! Classics like Pac-Man, Space Invaders, and Street Fighter II offer simple yet addictive gameplay, blending nostalgia with timeless challenge. Modern arcade cabinets often feature crisp displays and restored controls, enhancing the experience. These games thrive on quick reflexes and strategy, with vibrant pixel art and iconic soundtracks that spark joy. Arcades host tournaments and leaderboards, fostering a lively community. While modern games dominate, retro titles provide a unique, accessible thrill that keeps arcades buzzing.
