Customer Reviews

Pay attention to the other negative reviews here, these people all have legitimate gripes. First thing, we try to buy a card, and the kiosk is broken. No big deal, go to the second kiosk and purchase a card. Second, try a claw machine. Claw doesn't grip at all. Maybe it's the machine? We tried again, and no grip. My sister buys a card, and tries a machine to win a teddy bear, and the machine doesn't even start. It actually did not move at all, and charged her $20 in credit. She asked the guy at the coun

Scam! I purchased 2 cards for $20 a piece. Each card had 38 points. We spent 32 points on a machine that was not working and they refused to refund us for the points that we spent that didn't work. They said that some guy out of Wi Dells is in charge so they couldn't do any refunds. 2 $20 cards and machines that didn't work-lasted less than 15 minutes. Also told us the machine that we wasted our points on was made to not be a winnable game-it did not actually function at all.

Cool place but expensive. We went and the air hockey table wasn't working, along with a few other machines. Prizes are cheap for how expensive the games are. Will return in the future with hopes for some upgrades.

Yeti's Pizza is DELICIOUS! Basecamp was a great idea for the Stoughton Community, but the PRICE!! OMG, put $50 on each kid's play card and it was gone in 20 minutes! $100 gone in 20 minutes.... Instead of being a place we could take our kids weekly/bi-weekly, it's a place where we will only go for VERY special occassions. There is NO WAY we are ever hosting a birthday party here. I envision having to spend $1,000s of dollars just to have 10 people for a party that lasts longer than 20 minutes. Chuck

Yeti pizza is delicious! Lots of games. Plenty of parking & easy to access. Nice space for birthday parties. I especially like that I can SEE my kids from the party room & dining space!

Awful, put $30 on a card for my 3 kids and it was gone in 5 min. We got 2 tiny little 5 cent toys, very disappointing, we're never coming here again, waste of money.

Excited to bring my daughter! Big buck hunter, air hockey, claw machines, so much more here.

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s it like visiting an arcade today?

It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.

Is it better to go alone or with friends?

Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.

What should I bring to an arcade?

Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.

What’s the best time to visit an arcade?

Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.

Can I meet new people at arcades?

Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.

Are arcades still just for kids?

Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.

Are there events or tournaments I can join?

Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.

What if I’m not great at arcade games?

No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”

Are pinball tables still good in this modern age?

Newer tables from Stern and Jersey Jack feature LCD screens and themes like Avengers or Stranger Things, keeping things exciting.
